Hello, thank you! I used to use lilsimsie's save file, but when I started to make my own, I saved some of her townies and lots to place in some of the worlds. Most of the lots and sims are by different creators from the gallery!

I also have my own lots placed down, there are 3 cc-free community lots I've built! (ID missamelies)

( @25dejulho ) it depends on the save, but usually i start in another simmers save (my faves are ratboysims and simlicys), either build a house or find a shell off the gallery and decorate it myself, make a fam, then make some townies, give them all skills, careers, etc. just so theyre not like- newborns THEN start playing dkfjk its hella overkill and takes hours but thats how i do it 😭😭😭 tbh u dont even gotta do all that, u can just start in the aforementioned saves by other simmers and start ur own sims from scratch dkfjfgkj

this weekend i managed to reinstall the game and my cc-making tools. i still have to reinstall a lot of stuff like cc worlds, my clothes, save files, saved sims, etc. but i’ll do that later.

in the meantime i made myself a new reshade preset. i wanted to go for a warm, desaturated, nostalgic look, reminiscent of 90s and 00s films. 

it feels good to be back!! i’m never getting complacent with not backing stuff up again lol 😭 what a scary and expensive lesson.

so basically my hard drive had a mechanical failure that got progressively worse. i went from having a super laggy computer to being unable to boot up at all. the repair technician at a local shop recovered my data from my hard drive, replaced the hard drive with a SSD, and then reinstalled windows 10 on it. i had to finally take it to a shop because i read so many troubleshooting articles and tried so many different things but nothing worked.

ohh this is hard, but maybe 3 > 2 > 4 > 1

favorite expansion:

the answer is seasons for all of them, but if i ignore seasons... most eps were iconic for ts3, but if i have to pick i guess late night, generations, and maybe ambitions and island paradise. i was surprised by how much i loved ts4′s cottage living, despite being extremely hesitant to it at first, and is the only ep that has actually made me want to do real gameplay. ts2 was just amazing and i think i loved 90% of the packs, but if i have to choose then nightlife and pets.

this just made me remember how much ts4 sucks compared to the earlier games, but i can’t deal with the graphics anymore

small pets or horses:

i mostly play with small pets if i have any at all, but horses were iconic and i’m sad they’re not in ts4.

favorite active career:

i haven’t actually played any of the active careers in ts4 other than DHD which i loved despite all the bugs, and i have the memory of a goldfish so i can’t remember if i did any in ts2 or ts3. i probably did, and loved it.

favorite LTW/aspiration:

definitely the country caregiver in ts4, otherwise i tend to do renaissance sim or writer, and i can’t remember what any were called in ts2 or ts3 (there’s a theme here). i often did one of the love ones in ts2 tho for some reason tho.

whims, wishes or wants and fears:

wants and fears 100%! it’s a staple for me in character creation already, be it writing or dnd, though whims was a fun idea... i use mods tho to make them actually work ahem.

favorite occult:

call me basic but vampires. i wanted to love mermaids (they were okay in ts3), and especially spellcasters but it never feels right to me i guess. i have only vague memories of the other occults, but they were probably great lol

cowplants, bonehilda or social bunny:

social bunny! i never had any attachment to the other two honestly, and the social bunny came to my households quite a bit because i was too focused on removing pool ladders building skills to have my sims socialize. 

favorite non-PC sims game:

i never played any non-PC sims game other than urbz, but i guess that’s the next question haha

favorite spin off game:

urbz on xbox! holy shit i loved that game so much, i only got to play it when i visited my aunt in the beginning and that was all we would do during those weekends. i would always nag her if we couldn’t play urbz but she wasn’t as obsessed as me lmao. she later gave me the xbox and i played a little but by then i was PC master race forever. the nostalgia is real tho! and say what you will about the black eyed peas, but the soundtrack slapped in that game (maybe it’s just my nostalgia speaking)

how do you pick the names for your sims:

i either take inspiration from dnd characters (the names of which i get from this website or from the deep crevices of my high security prison aka my mind), or i find lists online like the basic baby names sites or whatever. surnames i either randomly generate in the game itself and modify, or i follow the steps above lol.

create a spouse or find them in game (townies):

marriage or long-term spouses i usually create, and flings are always townies. i’m gonna try to find them in game going forward, especially since there are quite a few hotties in the save file i use (thanks @simlicy​) 

do you prefer following storytelling simblrs or gameplay simblrs:

both. both is good.

how do people remember this? i’ve been on this hellsite way too long, since probably 2009, and i’ve tried to have simblrs many times but i could never commit. this time tho i’m committed, so there’s that. i made this simblr maybe 1.5-2 years ago? but honestly i don’t know because time isn’t real

THE PIXIIEE SAVE

I apologise it took me so long to post this save file 😖 It took me months to finish this save so hopefully it will be worth it. As I mentioned from my previous post, I didn’t renovate the lots myself but I have used (downloaded) builders beautiful creations in this save 😅 (sorry to disappoint you 😣)

I will list all the builders as much as I can, as they deserve all the credits. (Please I don’t want to have any misunderstandings 😖 I’m not taking their credits)

In this save:

There’s only ONE empty lot available (Windenburg).

59 Furnished empty houses. (including the house where Kiera is living). 

62 Community lots (labs, pubs, library, etc.).

16 Furnished empty Apartments.

6 University Housings. (Fletcher and Best of Friends included).

2 University Commons.

Original townies are still the same (I want their look to stay as it is 😅).

Work lots were updated.This includes the hospital, police station and the science lab.

Selvadorada and Granite falls were also renovated.

Caliente and Langraab family got a new baby in their family. I am not sure how it happened. I was thinking to remove the baby so the original family remain the same however, I think it’s too cruel to do that so I will just leave it. 😋

How to install?

Please! Before anything back up your SAVE folder (\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves).

After downloading the file, extract the file and place it in the SAVE folder (\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves).

If you get a notification saying the file name (slot number) already exist, just rename the file to a different slot number (It shouldn’t be a problem. 😆).

Run the game and it should show up the pixiieesave in your Load Games.

And there you go, you can play and explore. 

When you download the file you might see my sim (Kiera) bald as the hair I am using for her is CC.

Orchid A Go Go is under new management and has been renovated to draw a more trendy crowd. This lounge includes a movie theater, live music, bar, and even an exclusive VIP lounge where your important sims can have a poker night without the paparazzi ruining their night out. Darksimz’s ALL PACKS Save file download V1.0

Whatup Tumblr! I’ve been a lurker user, albeit an active one, both on here, as well as in other social media. But I’ve been an avid simmer since I know myself, and that translated to my online interests as well. And inspired by some of my favourite kickass youtubers and bloggers, and by the growing digicts on my Sims 4 playtime I decided to create a new account where I can be an active member of the community, and share my creations. And that begins with sharing my Darksimz Save file.

While not 100% complete, its at a state where I consider it completely playable, enjoyable and immersive. The save uses every pack released to the date of the posting of this file, in a way completely integrated in every world.

My style is still maxis match, but integrated with the dark humor of the original The Sims, and The Sims 2, filled with personality, story progression and detail. I revamped every lot of every world, some in a more complete way than others, but the community lots, and the places you should visit the most, including all hidden lots, I consider finished.

New households, old ones from previous iterations of the game, and the ones that should simply be in the game in the first place, all complete with descriptions and fun stories to continue or interact with. This is the way I play my game. There’s no telling how much time it took me to reach this state, as I’ve been working on it, on and off, ever since I got the game back in 2016, and its been through many states and iterations.

I could continue rambling, as this has been my pride and honor for a long time, but for that I will soon post a video of a quick rundown of everything, and to show some of the creations I included, on my youtube channel.

TO INSTALL:

Download the file, unzip, and place it in Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves.

If a pop up appears saing you already have a file of that name, change the slot number. (Ex: Slot_00000222.save ⮀ Slot_00000900.save)

Open your game and enter the save. It’s named “DARKSIMZ1.0”.

Once you have the save loaded, “save as” and create a new file for your own game, so you can use the save again without having to re-download.

The screens you see above of all the maps uses DerShayan’s and NoirSims’s mod “Sims 4 Fanart Maps”, which honestly I cannot play without anymore.

Even though every lot in this save is renovated by me, I often use inspiration of other creations, as this is my personal save. That includes builds and sims created by lilsimsie, simlicy, plumbella, deligracy and others. Some I use the shell of builds, other I copy completely with a change here and there. They’re just too good not to include, its not my fault.

If you try the save file, please send my way any little mistakes, or bugs that you encounter so we can better it for the next release.

UPDATE on my current household.

Savanna Daniel is now a grandmother - Her son Nathan and his now wife Morgan (Fyres) had their son while they were teens (during on of my streams on twitch) Now YA they will be moving out and live on their own w/their son Justin.

 Luzie is my Gen 2 heir - Sav is about to be an elder and Luzie a teen!

Also since i needed to make a new save cause the main one was not working for me. Mitchell Kalani one of the townies that became Savanna’s husband was still a YA so i made that one the brother of our current Mitchell and change his name to Jason Kalani, Fun enough he try for a baby with the performer at our birthday party and she got pregnant with his daughter who is super adorable! her name is Ashlynn Jeng (her mother is also another townie from city living who was pregnant when you start playing as them and this is a save by Simlicy)  I love her family, and had them live in the same apartment building so they’re close to each other but Jason is raising her.

I’m really having a fun time playing this household and im hoping it last and doesnt break on me since i have soooo much cc ( i may have to clean it up and remove some cc and start fresh.)

Nanette is pretty hardcore. Interesting to see Mia acting excited and nervous whereas she's pretty rational about everything.

Yeah, she has been quite mature in her outlook recently, but she is still also the same Mia who was delirious with excitement to see snow for the first time, and who nearly wet herself when she saw a TV newsreader in the flesh at a nightclub.

I was so happy and flattered to read both your comments, thank you!! The uniforms were nearly the death of me lolol because for some reason they would not save in CAS but I got there in the end. But I am fascinated by airports and overall I love shooting airport scenes. There is a famous New Yorker cover of people snowed in at an airport that I want to replicate in Sims so hopefully I will have time to do that in the near future, too.

100 Berry Mermaid Baby Challenge: Rules and Resources

@animecutie1503 kindly sent me this request in the comments of my most recent post and I thought it would be fun and a good idea to kind of compile the sort of guidelines I’m following. Plus, I enjoy helping other simmers out, and I’ve had a bit of a rough day so this will be a good way to distract me from my sorrows. This post is pretty long, so the rest of it will be under the cut.

If you read her rules, it won’t take you very long to realize that I’m...not really following them. Another oops. I have a habit of modifying challenges to my own personal play style, so I have basically taken her concept and used it to mold my own. That being said, what I am about to write are not to be considered ‘rules’ of any kind and as such should not be credited or associated with all of Briar’s hard work on the official rules.

Without further ado, here is how I am playing my ‘challenge’:

Therefore, I absolutely used the free real estate cheat to move Moonflower immediately into this house. I have not used any money cheats afterwards though, as I don’t like to cheat in general.

Moonflower makes money from her paintings, but I also allow her to hold a rabbithole career off of her home lot.

Using MC Command Center, I play using a custom long-ish lifespan which is as follows:

Babies: 2 days

Toddlers: 10 days

Children: 15 days

Teens: 20 days

Young Adults: 40 days

Adults: 40 days

Elders: 20 days

Instead of trying to have 100 babies in as few generations as I can, I am playing this legacy style, and am having a set 10 kids in each generation for 10 generations. The youngest daughter will still become heiress however, as per the original rules.

Therefore, I don’t use donors, I create a specific spouse for each generation who is allowed to move into the house after marriage and help out around the house however he likes.

I randomize all traits for the children, and I do not age them up early. I don’t set goals for skills, aspirations, or grades; it’s all purely casual in my gameplay.

In my save, I create the spouses initially as human sims, but then have Moonflower/the heiress give them mermadic kelp to transform them into a merman before conception of the first child. This guarantees that all the children will be mermaids too.

You can find mermadic kelp easily once you reach level 6 fitness and explore the cave on Mua Pel’am. You should only have to do this once because each time you find the kelp, it gives you ten at a time. However, I cheated and bought all of Moonflower’s kelp in buydebug. You can also purchase mermadic kelp using lifetime reward points, and sometimes dolphins will catch kelp for your sim if you have a high enough friendship with one. I believe you can find kelp while scuba diving as well, although I’m not 100% positive on that.

Those are about the only guidelines I follow for my own personal gameplay. Next up, berry resources.

The vast majority of TS4 berry simmers use @tainoodles‘ fantastic, 76-color Sorbets Remix palette. All resources (skin, eyes) can be found on her sideblog dedicated specifically to this palette: @noodlescc. As for hairs/clothes/furniture/etc, Tai also has a sideblog for that, too: @noodlessorbets. Here, she reblogs just about every piece of cc that is recolored in her palette. She also has all of the pack hairs that she recolored herself linked on @noodlescc.

Another thing you can do is recolor stuff for yourself if you wish. Recoloring is very easy. Most people start out recoloring hair, since it is generally simpler to do than clothes or furniture. Tai so generously shared her Photoshop actions and S4S palette, linked in the same post where you can find her skins and eyes.

One thing I have done for myself is recolor the mermaid facepaint scales that came with Island Living in the Sorbets Remix palette, because I enjoy putting them on all of my mermaids. An important thing to note is that berry genetics do not function properly. Babies will be born with vanilla skin, and sometimes even vanilla eyes and hair colors. If children do happen to be born with berry hair and eyes, the colors will often be random and not match their parents’. A way around that is to use dice or a random number generator to determine for yourself what colors each baby inherits. For example, I got Aquamarine’s colors by randomizing the numbers 1 and 2 three times: once for hair, once for eyes, and once for skin. If number 1 was randomized, she got Seafoam’s color. If number 2 was randomized, she got Moonflower’s. The random number generator I use can be found here: https://www.random.org/

Last but not least, to make matters even more complicated, berry colors do not ‘stick’ on toddlers, children, and teens. What I mean by that is, if you go into CAS with your toddler, child, or teen sim to change his/her outfits or hairstyle, the colors of his/her hair and/or eyes will often change as you cycle through his/her outfits. 16. What is your biggest fear? Living life without anyone thinking they’re happy I’m here.

17. What is your best quality, in your opinion? My honesty. I’m honest to a fault, something which my family often complains about, but I’d like to think it’s one of my better qualities. (Fun event; when my sister and I were little, we went to buy candy at the local mart. My sister put huge marshmallow dolphins into a bag. They’re about 30 cent a piece, but the shopkeep weighed them like normal candy, so she got all three of them for like 45 cent or something. I was livid, and kept bugging her to go back and pay full price, lol.)

18. What is your worst quality, in your opinion? My inability to cope with criticism. I don’t get particularly defensive, most of the time, because I know that criticism is someone’s way of telling me that something needs to be improved. What I do find difficult, however, is keeping in mind that the criticism isn’t directed at my person, but at the piece of work I am performing.

19. Do you like cats or dogs better? CATS. I AM SO SAD. MY HUSBAND IS ALLERGIC. THERE’S A VOID IN MY LIFE.

50. Have you ever been to a concert? Once or twice. I went to a WINNER concert when I was in Japan. It was an amazing experience!

102. Do you talk to yourself? In a manner of speaking. If I’m alone, I like to walk around and talk out stories I’m planning like I’m in a play. Hey guys! I’m so excited to be on gen 5 of this legacy challenge! This gameplay has definitely made Aria my favorite generation yet! I also wanted to mention that she has had a lot of makeovers throughout her life so the way she looks here, isn’t going to be seen in the screenshots until later on!

Don’t judge me, but I had to look up what a jag is. XD BUT YES! That’s him exactly, lmao. Especially when he’s drunk or angry or in an emotionally heated situation, Theodore completely loses sight of how his actions and words affect other people. He comes from a very wealthy, very well established “old money” sort of family, so he’s been able to get away with it for basically his entire life. However, it would be really interesting to see him in a situation where there isn’t someone around to clean up after him or where he is forced to see how he comes across to other people. I will have to think about how I could manage to write something like that for real. :D Thank you for the comment!

it's true what they say you can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat their waiter and theo is an asshole, i wish the wine got him in the face lmao xD and i hope that woman his sister-in-law was going to introduce has run for the hills...

LOL! I can’t disagree AT ALL, but one moment of drunk asshole-ishness is just that- one moment. I think (hope) that Theo could grow up and mature and perhaps handle himself and situations like this better in the future. Time will tell, I guess, haha. Thank you for reading! :)
