Victorian Wallpapers by sibyl-sims converted to TS3

I did these almost a year ago. But, back then, I didn't realize the brilliant design choices of TS3 team. The actual wall textures in game are 256x768, but they are shrunk to 256x512 for whatever reason. So, if you create walls by cloning existing walls in 256x512 size, they will be stretched to 768 in height.

So I decided to redo them accordingly, without the stretching. Unfortunately that meant that I would end up with slightly different masks than before since I couldn't remember how I did them in the first place. I like to experiment and try different things until I end up with something I'm pleased with. And I didn't take notes.

Well technical details aside, there are two versions: 1) The original baseboard and crown 2) My edit with a smaller baseboard without the crown. Also the last wallpaper comes with 3 different masks since I can't decide which is best. You can have both versions. All have 3 channels. Wallpaper category. §8 each.

As usual, I've tested these in-game but being a ditz I might have missed something. Just tell me if you find anything out of order and I'll fix it. Happy simming.

Terra: She doesn’t toss those words around, but if she thinks they are called for, she’ll say them. Of course, that’s for now, things might change in the future. With so many close calls, she’s starting to think she better remind the people she cares about more regularly how much they mean to her.

Matthew: Easy enough, especially if he means it. 

L:   LOVE.   who does your muse love?

Terra: Her family and friends. Now Matt as well, which she’s trying to keep cool about because she really hasn’t known him too long, and yet...

Matthew: Well, his Mom’s been his bestie for life, so of course he loves her very much. But now this girl’s got his head all messed up and she’s heading back home. He’s not sure how he’s dealing with that yet. 

N:   NAUGHTY.   what is your muse like in bed?

Terra: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ No experience to speak of, so far. But with those bunnies of parents, I’m sure the knack will come to her naturally ;)

Matthew: Likewise situation. Some attempts (weak ones) were made when he was dating in high school, but by that time, he and that girl were sort of done with the relationship and it didn’t happen.

P:   PARTNER.   what does your muse look for in a partner? looks / personality?

Terra: Honestly, she really wants what her parents have. Just being able to be yourself with that special person, feeling comfortable with them, even when the situation isn’t. It’s more about the personality for her, overall. Sure, she thinks Matt’s good looking, but so were the others, and she knows she didn’t always feel like things were right with them, even when there was attraction.

Matthew: Apparently, he’s really into very pale skin and blue/purple hair ;) But for real, he digs how naturally Terra fit into their group in the Stoneshields, even though she didn’t know anyone there. Not only fit in, but cared for all these people. He thinks that’s a good quality in a partner. 

V:   VALENTINE.   how does your muse feel about valentine’s day?

Terra: “Oh, is it V Day already? Remind me to get ear plugs on the way home. I want to get a good night’s sleep and otherwise, it won’t be happening.” I mean, she likes it, but being single on V Day is always kind of awkward when everyone around you is couple up.

Matthew: “Valentines Day is nice. I’m not a hopeless romantic, really, but it’s kind of sweet seeing everyone go out of their way to be romantic.”

Y:   YOURS.   does your muse get protective easily?

Terra: Does jumping through portals and going on hostage rescue missions count as protective? Then yes, she is.

Matthew: He is, as was showcased when he ran to Helena’s defense, but he hasn’t really had a chance to display that with Terra yet. It’s been the other way around, so far.

Mmmmh... such a lovely chapter. For the first time since the 17th I actually enjoy the nipple ban, how would you have given us this exquisite erotica either way? I'm also optimistic they both will withstand the witch invasion.

Nipplegate actually worked in Vigina’s favour, lololol!! Due to the sheer amount of sliders in Vinnie’s body there wouldn’t be a single sex pose that I’d have been able to use for him, so I would have resorted to using something really tame like a shot of their entwined bare legs or cum faces, lmbooo. But Nipplegate forced me to write the scene instead and while it was a scary experience I’m quite proud of the results. Thank you for always being so supportive and encouraging!!

About Vinnie - I never expected him to be less wise and well-spoken than he showed himself here, but my opinion is he terribly overestimated Bunty's intelligence or common sense. Maybe he can't believe the woman he cherishes so much is raised by such an "oaf".

The Witch NPCs does cast some spells autonomously so it should be possible?

I don’t think that’s really autonomous, though. I think it’s just programmed because they always do the same thing: Appear, cast the lightning/sparkly spell, summon their cat, hang out for a minute or two, then leave. 

Of course, that doesn’t mean that it can’t be made autonomous. I need to look into how to make non-object-related actions autonomous. I’m sure it’s “just” a matter of finding the right thing in the game files to jigger with. Of course, if it’s BHAV-controlled then I’m screwed, but maybe...

Ugh, yes, witch autonomy would be awesome! I was kinda disappointed with how they did the witches, tbh. And is the only want that witches get that generic "cast a spell"? I don't recall ever seeing anything else.

I’ve only ever seen “Cast a Good Spell,” “Cast an Evil Spell,” and the generic “Cast a Spell.” I think the first two only happen if the witch is non-neutral, although I’ve seen evil witches want to cast good spells and good witches want to cast evil spells, so...

But yeah, I’m pretty underwhelmed by the witches. That’s why I’m trying to think of ways to make them more interesting or otherwise just not use them in my game. It MIGHT be interesting to take out the “No reagents” mod and then have a witch and his/her partner set up a community-lot business making and selling reagents and then banning all but witches from that lot. I might like the whole thing more if individual witches didn’t always have to make their own reagents, but still being obliged to use them, and the idea of one of them sort of cornering the market on reagents is kind of appealing in a silly way.

And also? How come there’s a neutral NPC witch that you never see anywhere? How come it’s only ever good or evil? What if someone WANTS to be neutral and never anything but?

Definitely. If I had my druthers, 98% of the actions in the game would be autonomous but in a way that, you know, makes sense, as opposed to how EA often sets things up. Then I could just sit back and point and laugh at my goofy pixels.

OMG I second this! this is one thing I need to have in-game, seems like it'd be so much fun honestly.

I think it’d be hilarious for evil witches to run amok, especially. Evil is fun; good is boring. And not just with the lightning-and-cockroaches spell but with, like, making people do the chicken dance and stuff. That very much appeals to my juvenile sense of humor.

Thank you! It was such a cute house, I had to try it...and it converted to the game surprisingly well! Often I find translating real houses results in disproportionately wide TS2 counterparts. :(

Thanks. :) By the way, I don’t usually upload stuff, as I said at the top, but if you see something you like, I don’t mind at all if you request an upload. If it’s easy to make CC-free I will do so. I don’t know for sure that it won’t work if you don’t have M&G, but I have read that M&G acts like a mini expansion pack and you need the same EPs that a house was built with to install it. I don’t know what would happen if you installed it anyway. You could try...but I’d recommend backing up the game first! But if you ever see a copy of M&G somewhere, I would definitely recommend buying it. It’s probably my favourite stuff pack. A lot of the architecture items are really nice and I use the new flowers and shrubs all the time.

Ha ha, I don’t think it’s exclusive to chicken statues--there are probably a few hats and old fishing poles in there too--but yeah, I dig them up so often! Maybe it’s Shane pranking me. >.>

It’s so nice! I didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I do, though it has been a long time since I’ve actually played it. I should pick it up again. There is still so much I haven’t discovered yet in it, and that’s the major draw for me: all those surprises in a deceptively simple game!
