There’s something tugging at Sevika.
She’s already scanned the room for what it could be, but nothing seems out of the ordinary. The booth she routinely occupies at The Last Drop feels no different than it ever has, the playing cards and poker chips littering the rickety wooden table in front of her are just as beat up as they always are, and her drunken opponents are as easy to beat as ever.
She’s slouched back against the wall behind her, brows furrowed and eyes trained on the half-empty glass of whiskey dampening its paper coaster. The anticipation buzzing around her shouldn’t feel so foreign; the woman’s M.O. is to be at attention, at all times, with no exceptions. Still, there's a hum of urgency that's much louder tonight than usual. Something is telling her-something is demanding her-to remain alert, attentive, ready to be of service.
Her flesh hand twitches, fingers squeezing around the rim of the glass she holds for a split second.
Someone needs her. Someone needs her now.
She can’t put her finger on who it could be, or why it could be, so she taps at the glass’s rim with it instead.
A voice, gruff after nearly a lifetime of smoking, pulls her from her concentration on ripples running through liquid amber.
“You even payin’ attention?” The ash of his cigar falls onto the table as the hand that holds it gestures towards her chips.
On an ordinary night, she’d shoot the shit. Give him a playful scoff. Tell him that she wasn’t paying attention at all, and somehow, she was still kicking his ass.
But, despite the normalcy of The Last Drop’s Friday night debauchery, despite the inventory she’d taken of her surroundings telling her that everything should be okay, she still can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong.
It’s pulling her to her feet now. She downs the rest of her whiskey as she stands, mumbling something about everyone splitting her earnings evenly as she walks off. Her opponents are left entirely confused and a little bit richer as they watch her stride away with her usual purpose.
Where this pull is taking her, she has no idea. Frankly, she doesn’t care. She no longer feels her stomach wrenching as she tries to fight off the force yanking at her cloak, begging her to go wherever she’s going now. With every step, there is clarity.
Someone needs her. Someone needs her now.
She's getting closer to them. With every step she takes, she finds that her lungs are easier to fill now that she knows this person needn’t worry any longer.
When she ends up at your door, her entire body melts on exhale.
Of all the people in the world, there’s no one else she’d rather be needed by.
Be it the chaos that had ensued just before meeting you for the first time, or the way you seemed to calm her stormy seas at first glance, she remembers it like it was yesterday.
She remembers swinging the bakery’s door open in a panic, eyes wide and wild as they hurriedly scanned the room for a head of fluffy hair dyed blue.
“I’ve got her,” a voice rang out. A voice like honey to match your honeysuckle scent, she immediately noted.
You stood behind the counter, placing a piping bag down and wiping your hands on your blush-colored apron with a shy smile.
Lo and behold, there sat Isha, perched on the marble countertop next to you. She stared up at Sevika with big, innocent eyes; far too innocent for a girl who’d just escaped Sevika's grasp and booked it to the bakery she’d been begging to visit for weeks now.
“She’s quick,” you chortle. “Sugar may not have been the best idea, now that I think of it…”
You look over at the small girl whose mouth was now opening as wide as it could go to take a bite of the blueberry muffin you’d given her. It was too late. She was hooked and sure as shit to be bouncing off of the walls, now.
Sevika’s eyes trail from the crumbs stuck to Isha’s lips to the affectionate smile gracing your own. It was too late. You were sweet as honey, and she was hooked, too.
That was nearly a year ago, now. Trips to the bakery slowly but surely changed from Isha’s demand to Sevika’s suggestion. Eventually, Sevika began visiting on her own; before work to get a coffee, during her breaks to grab a cheese danish, after work to pick up a blueberry muffin for Isha.
It would have been less-than-chivalrous if she hadn’t begun offering to hang around until you closed shop so she could walk you home, would have been impolite to decline the Sunday afternoon taste-testing sessions you’d started inviting her over for.
She’s a gentlewoman. It’s only principle. That’s what she tells herself, at least.
That’s what she tells herself as her knuckles tap thrice on your door.
She starts to feel antsy again when you don’t come bounding to the door as usual, when your honeyed voice doesn't call out that you’ll be right there. She worries even more when you do reach the door, but it doesn’t swing open to reveal a bright smile, a pretty girl covered in flour and smelling of vanilla. Instead, you flick the deadbolt to the right, trail back to your room, and leave the door unlocked for her to enter of her own accord.
Her stomach turns like the doorknob she’s grasping, but as soon as the door opens, she knows what’s wrong.
The blossom of honeysuckle in the spring floats through the air. This much was a given; she knows this is what she’ll smell when she’s around you.
Tonight, though, it’s honeysuckle and something else. Something thick, hitting her like a brick wall. A white musk that nearly knocks her back when it crosses the threshold of your apartment door to meet her in the hallway.
She’s quick to step in and even quicker to close the door behind her. That scent was sure to attract unwanted visitors: Alphas looking to sink their gnashing teeth into something sweet.
She twists the deadbolt back to the left, her eyes darting across the room to find you. When that doesn’t suffice-when you’re nowhere to be seen- she follows your scent trail instead. Follows it back to your room, where her heart nearly breaks at the sight before her.
You’ve got what she figures must be every pillow in the house propped up against the headboard, every blanket you own pushed down to the foot of the bed, and you sit at the center of it all with your legs pulled into your chest, your head buried in your knees, and your arms wrapped around the ball you’ve curled yourself into.
There’s a pedestal fan pointed directly at you, despite the oversized sweater you adorn. You’re refusing to take it off, she bets. Want something soft and warm wrapped around you at all costs, even if it means you’ll sweat through it.
A soft grin spreads across her face as she approaches, slow and steady. It was her turn to calm your storm, now.
She sinks to her knees next to your bed, elbows resting on the flower-shaped throw pillow she remembers you buying when you were out shopping in the square with her one day. She’d taken a liking to it herself, always opting to rest her head on its pink petals as she stretched her long legs along the length of your couch, or holding it close to her chest as the two of you watched yet another horror movie you both knew damn well would keep you up all night.
She tries not to think too much of the fact that of all the pillows stacked upon your bed, it's the one you’ve got right next to you.
Her voice is nearly a whisper when she finally speaks, grey eyes soft and warm as they gaze up at you from her place on the floor.
“Hey, doll.”
All you manage to muster in response is a weary groan.
She exhales through her nose, eyebrows knitting together in concern.
“Rough heat?”
Your muffled sob cuts through the quiet, and her hand flies out to knead your thigh.
Her eyes widen in sudden consternation. Your skin is a brazier underneath her large palm.
“Janna,” she suddenly calls out, eyes frantic as they travel across your figure. “Y/n, you’re burning up. How long have you had a fever?”
She trades flesh for cold metal, anchoring her mech hand to your thigh in hopes that it’ll cool you down. Her right hand splays across your back, rubbing large circles across its expanse as you sniffle into your knees.
“Two days,” you mumble weakly, and much to her dismay.
Two days was too long for you to be in this state, nevertheless alone.
“I thought I’d have been claimed by now,” you admit, your voice wobbling.
“Don’t talk like that,” she commands. “There’s no timeline for this stuff. It’ll happen when it-”
“It’s not like that!”
Your head finally snaps up from your knees, teary eyes locking onto hers.
“It’s not… It’s not that I can’t find anyone. It’s that I can’t…”
Your voice breaks, and her hand trails up from your back to rest on the back of your neck, her thumb massaging the tightness at the base of your skull as she waits patiently for you to gather yourself.
You’re well aware that in the crux of an already grueling heat is not the best time to share an admission that very well could permanently alter your relationship with the woman you hold dearest. You’re also aware that you won’t be able to keep lying to Sevika for much longer.
You wouldn’t be able to keep lying to yourself for much longer.
Your words are still shaky despite the bracing deep breath you take before speaking.
“I can’t stand anyone else’s scent…”
Her hand stills, but her touch doesn’t falter. Her face doesn’t fall.
She’s still here. She’s still steady, still constant, but she needs you to be sure.
“Anyone else?” She asks, her voice low.
A small huff escapes you. You know Sevika. She doesn’t do vague.
She’s going to make you say it.
“I can’t stand anyone’s scent but yours.”
A pregnant pause settles in between the two of you.
And then, her hand is moving from the back of your neck to tuck a tendril of hair behind your ear.
“Do you want me to help?”
You nod fervently, words tumbling from your lips before you can stop them.
“Want you so bad, it hurts; please, Sev, I-”
Her lips crash into yours, stealing your breath away. Your heart is already racing, your core is already throbbing, you’re already whimpering into her mouth.
It was too late. You were sweet as honey, and she’d just gotten a taste.
 ──˚₊୨ৎ•‧₊˚──
It’s been hours. She’s been fucking you for hours.
You nearly felt bad for being so insatiable; only nearly, because she had made it very clear very quickly that you needn’t ever apologize for lasting so long, for needing the next round not even five minutes after the last, for wanting it faster, harder, deeper.
You needn’t ever apologize for allowing her the opportunity to take care of you.
Much to your dismay, sometimes taking care of you meant that she would slow down to check in, insist you take a breather, or get you a glass of water. Sevika knows that what you want is to be ravaged, to let your mind go all fuzzy and your body go all limp as she takes you, claims you, breeds you. Sevika knows that what you need is someone looking out for your best interest when you’re all-consumed by your heat, someone who knows that the responsibility of an alpha is to provide far more than a good fuck.
Still, she isn’t surprised that you nearly burst into tears when her pace begins to relent. Janna knows how hard it is for her to stop when you look so pretty laid out for her like this; legs thrown over her shoulders, hands desperately grabbing at firm muscle and cool metal, brows knit together in pleasure as you cry out for her.
She leans down to press a kiss to the beads of sweat forming on your hairline, and knows she needs to stop anyway.
“Wait, wait, wait,” you plead, wrapping your legs around her waist and rolling your hips up into her own, “please don’t stop, please keep going, Sev…”
She plants a kiss on your shoulder this time, the salt of sweat-sticky skin on her lips.
“You’re getting too hot, baby,” she purrs. “We’re not done, I promise. Just need to make sure you cool off for a second.”
You whine in defiance, and she hums in understanding, but you’re too fucked out to do anything but lay there and let her press a cool rag to your forehead and your flushed chest.
“You feelin’ okay, mama?”
She doesn’t miss the way your lip quirks up into the beginnings of a smirk.
“What?” She asks with a grin, bearing the gap in between her teeth. You’d told her it was cute once. The tips of her ears were dark red for the rest of the day.
“Don’t call me that,” you smile.
She just quirks a brow in playful curiosity.
“Not unless you plan on putting a baby in me.”
Her hands still. Her grin falters. For a moment, you worry that you’ve crossed a line.
Then, glittery grey irises go dark like a storm cloud rolling in. Her eyes are lidded, full of desire. Her jaw clenches, her nostrils flare, her muscles twitch for a split second.
Her head dips down to hide in your neck, but there, she finds that honeysuckle and musk hit her even harder here. You don’t miss the way her body writhes atop your own.
“Careful joking around like that,” she husks.
You buck your hips up in a challenge. “Who said I was joking?”
And then, she whines. Sevika whines.
“Couldn’t get you pregnant if I wanted to, doll,” she resigns. “I’m on suppressants.”
“That’s okay,” you coo, hands stroking up and down the length of her back, her skin warm and her muscles strong underneath your palm. “You can pretend. Jus’ want you to cum inside of me.”
This time, she growls, and you don’t miss the way her canines scrape across your pulse point.
She trails open-mouthed kisses from your neck, to your jaw, to the corner of your lips, breath shaky along the way.
Her resolve is crumbling, her restraint weakening. She had found you in need, and now, here she was, just as desperate as you had been.
“Come on, baby,” you urge, voice just over a whisper. “Take me.”
You're flipped over and pinned to the bed in a second. She yanks you up onto your knees by your waist, and her mech hand travels down your spine to push you further into the mattress while her flesh hand works to line herself up in between your legs. You gasp when you feel her sliding through your slick, whine when she presses an inch in before slipping back out and dipping down to nudge your swollen bud of nerves, groan when she finally presses into you completely, the head of her length prodding at your cervix.
She pants above you, both hands settling on your waist as she gives you a moment to adjust, and as soon as you're pushing back against her, she’s snapping her hips into you. Her grip is bruising as she pulls you back to meet every thrust. Your hands fly out to grab at the sheets next to you, your heady cries of pleasure muffled by the soft pillows piled at the head of the bed.
“How’s that? Huh?”
Her voice is gravelly from exertion. Sexier than it already is. How that’s even possible, you’re not sure. You don’t care. You can’t even think.
Sevika leans down to nip at your earlobe.
“Talk to me, baby,” she rasps. “This what you wanted? Wanted me to fuck a baby into you, hm? Wanted me to make you mine?”
You nod frantically, babbling out a yes, sobbing into the pillow. You bite down hard on your bottom lip, hiccupping against the breath you can’t seem to catch.
“I’ve got you,” she croons, her pace gentler now. “Deep breath for me, doll.”
Her flesh hand interlaces with your own, her thumb rubbing soothing circles into the meaty flesh between your thumb and your forefinger. You nod with a whimper, following her command.
“Good girl.”
She reaches down in between your slick-covered thighs to circle at your clit, rubbing lazy circles in tandem with her slow, deep strokes. She hisses at the feeling of your velvety walls clenching around her, grits her teeth as she begins to speed up.
You make it so damn hard for her to keep it together, reaching up to grab the hair at the nape of her neck and pushing her head down into your shoulder. She knows exactly what you’re asking for.
Her bite.
You’re asking her to sink her teeth into sugar, and Sevika’s always had a sweet tooth.
She clenches her jaw even tighter. Takes deep breaths through her nose. Fucks you into the mattress instead.
The bite will come later. When you’re not in heat, when you’re thinking clearly, when you can comprehend that what you’re asking for is to be bound to her. When it does come- when you do ask for that- she’ll say yes. No question.
She’s been yours since the moment she walked through the bakery’s doors nearly a year ago.
But right now, she’s here to take care of you. Nothing more, nothing in return.
A voice like honey rings out like music to her ears.
“Oh- fuck, don’t stop. Mm- gonna… gonna cum…”
“That’s right, baby. Give me another, yeah?”
And when she latches onto the juncture between your shoulder and your neck, sucking just hard enough for you to feel a dull pinch, you fall apart, her name tumbling from your lips like a prayer.
That’s when she liked her name most. When it came from you.
This time, it’s what pushes her over the edge. It’s all nearly too much; the sound of you moaning her name, your scent inundating her senses, the feeling of you tightening around her, the pulse that thrums against her canines.
Shimmer doesn’t even make her feel this feral.
You can feel her twitching against your walls as she fucks you through your release with a new vigor.
“Fuck,” she grits, “say the word and I’ll pull out.”
“Don’t.”
Sugar meets spice. Your command is stern, and Sevika is good at following orders.
She ruts into you with a broken moan, hissing with each involuntary twitch of her hips as she spills into you.
Soon, she joins you in a leaden slump, her warm body caging you in and her cock still sheathed inside of you. The hum of the pedestal fan and the rasp of your pants fill the room like white noise.
And then, you giggle. A blissed out, breathy giggle that has the corner of Sevika’s mouth quirking up into a smile.
“What?” she pants.
“Nothing. Jus’ happy.”
She hums in contentment. “Feel better?”
“Much better.”
And Sevika can’t ignore the way her heart flutters, the pride she feels knowing she was able to take care of you, the desire she has to take care of you for as long as she lives.
The bite will come later, she reminds herself. Right now, there’s just you. Sweet as honey.
“Good,” she muses. “That’s what I’m here for.”

***************
Your nerves hit like a wave the second you stepped into the waiting room.
The air was tense—heavy with the kind of silence that only comes when everyone is pretending not to be afraid. The tributes were scattered around the room, each lost in their own thoughts, their own strategies, their own quiet dread.
You felt your stomach twist.
Last time you were in this position, you scored a seven. Clean, precise knife throws. It wasn’t spectacular, but it got the job done—just enough to earn some sponsors without making you a threat. It kept you safe.
But this wasn’t like last time.
This time, you were older. Sharper. Tired in a way you didn’t know how to explain. And despite all of it, you had no idea what you were going to do in there. No plan, no performance. You hadn’t let yourself think too hard about it, because thinking meant caring—and caring meant fear. And you were so tired of being afraid.
The Capitol had already taken everything. Your home. Your peace. Your sense of self. And now they were back for what little was left.
Your gaze drifted across the room and landed on the District 12 pair, sitting quietly in the far corner. They weren’t speaking, just watching. Watching you. Their expressions were unreadable—somewhere between wary and curious. You offered them a small nod and the faintest smile. They didn’t return it, but they didn’t look away either. That felt like enough.
Then, you saw him—Mason, cutting through the room with that quiet steadiness he always carried.
He slid into the seat beside you without a word, his presence warm and familiar.
“Hey,” he said gently, his voice low. “You ready?”
You nodded automatically, but your fingers betrayed you—tapping anxiously on your leg, tense and restless. Mason noticed. He always noticed.
Without saying anything more, he reached over and placed his hand on top of yours. It was steady. Grounding. You immediately stilled.
“You’re going to be alright,” he said, soft but certain. “We both are.”
You looked at him—and just like that, something inside you loosened.
Those eyes. You remembered them. The same ones you met when you were sixteen, standing awkwardly at your Victor’s party, trying not to be seen. He hadn’t mentored your Games, but he found you anyway. Quiet, lost, and not ready for any of it. He’d seen you for what you were—another broken kid trying to survive something you weren’t built for.
He knew that look. He’d worn it once, too.
And from that night on, Mason became something steady in your life. Maybe even something safe. He couldn’t stop the Capitol from throwing you into another nightmare, but if you had to go back in, you were glad it was with him.
“It’s going to be fine,” you murmured, offering a small, tired smile. And for a moment, you let yourself believe it. Mason would follow you anywhere. You didn’t have to question it. His loyalty wasn’t loud or showy—it was just there. Unshakable.
“Y/N. Mason.”
You turned at the sound of your names and saw Cashmere and Gloss approaching, their movements smooth and practiced like they were walking a red carpet instead of waiting to face death again. Behind them, Enobaria and Brutus stood from their seats, joining the group.
Cashmere slipped her arm around your shoulders like it was second nature. “You ready to make some jaws drop?” she asked with that signature smirk. Confident. Stunning. But under it, you could see the flicker of something else. That same tension that lived in all of you now.
“Always,” you said, letting the corners of your mouth lift. “I think I’m just gonna wing it. Do whatever feels right.”
Cashmere raised an eyebrow. “That’s either brilliant or reckless.”
“Maybe both,” you replied.
“As long as you scare them a little, you’ll land at least a nine,” Enobaria said, cracking her knuckles and flashing her sharpened teeth. “I’m thinking of stabbing a dummy and barring my teeth at the Gamemakers.”
Brutus rolled his eyes. “Yeah, and they’ll send you straight to the Capitol psych ward.”
Enobaria grinned wider. “Sounds like a vacation compared to what’s coming.”
You huffed out a quiet laugh before turning to the siblings.
“What about you two?”
Gloss shrugged, arms crossed over his chest. “Spear work. Something fast and clean—show them I haven’t slowed down. I’m not there to impress them. Just remind them what I can do.”
Cashmere spun a knife lazily between her fingers. “Knives, obviously. Hit the vitals, maybe throw in a flip or two if I feel like showing off. Nothing too wild—we’re aiming for tens, not twelves.”
She looked at Mason, nudging his leg with her foot. “What about you?”
Mason tilted his head, thoughtful. “Not much I can do solo. Might ask to use the moving targets—simulate a real fight. Or…” he glanced sideways at you, smiling faintly, “maybe someone here’s brave enough to volunteer.”
You rolled your eyes, smirking. “Keep dreaming.”
But before anyone could say anything else, a sharp voice echoed through the room:
“District One, Gloss Tanner. Report for individual assessment.”
Silence fell instantly. All eyes shifted to Gloss.
He stood slowly, rolling his shoulders once, then turned to his sister. Cashmere reached out and touched his arm, her expression softening.
Gloss gave her a quick squeeze on the shoulder and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. Then he looked at the rest of you, smiled like it was nothing, and said, “See you on the other side.”
And then he was gone.
No hesitation. No second glance.
The moment lingered in the air. Thick. Heavy. Real.
Enobaria was the first to break the silence. “We’ll head back to our seats,” she said, giving each of you a quick hug like she didn’t want to think too hard about it. Brutus did the same—no words, just a quiet presence—and then they were gone.
“We should, too,” Mason murmured, giving Cashmere’s shoulder a squeeze.
You turned to her and wrapped your arms around her tightly.
“He’s going to do great,” you whispered. “And so will you. Okay?”
Cashmere gave you a watery smile, blinking fast. “Good luck, Y/N.”
“You too.”
She held you for a second longer, then let go and sat down, folding her hands in her lap, eyes fixed on the door Gloss had disappeared through.
Before heading back to your seat, you squat down in front of Finnick and Mags. Grinning, you greet them with a playful, “Hello, my fishies.”
Finnick rolls his eyes dramatically, but there's a smile tugging at his lips. Mags, ever the nurturing figure, pats you on the head as if you were a child, her touch gentle and warm.
“I swear, before I die, I’m going to need a new nickname,” Finnick jokes, sounding far more serious than he probably intends. “I can’t die with ‘Fishy’ on my tombstone.”
You nudge his knee playfully. “Oh, don’t worry, Finnick. I wouldn’t do that to you. But I would say, ‘Best Swimmer in the Mighty Seas,’” you add with a wink, your tone light.
Mags laughs softly, her eyes crinkling with kindness. You turn toward her. “Ready to blow them away with your rope-tying skills?” You can’t help but tease, excited for the elderly woman you admire so much.
Mags gives you a thumbs up, her smile all the answer you need. Then she points to Finnick, mimicking the movement of a trident with her hands.
“Oh, yes. Finnick and his big fork,” you tease, ruffling his hair affectionately. You and Finnick had always been close—almost like siblings, really. You won your Games right after him, and to say you leaned on each other would be an understatement. There was an unspoken understanding between you two, born from the shared experience of surviving this hell.
You hear Cashmere’s name being called, and as she rises, she shoots you a reassuring smile before heading toward the door.
Turning back to Finnick and Mags, you see the stress hanging heavy on their shoulders. Without thinking, you rise to your feet and give them both tight hugs. “It’s going to be fine,” you say, your voice firm but kind. “I’ve never seen anyone handle a trident as well as you, Finnick. And no one—no one—can tie a knot as tight as you, Mags.”
Both of them smile up at you, their faces softening. They know exactly what you’re doing—trying to ease their tension, give them a little comfort. That’s why they love having you around.
“I’ll catch up with you two after, okay?” You give them both a final squeeze. “Good luck out there.”
They nod, their smiles a little more relaxed now. You return to your seat next to Mason, feeling a brief moment of relief as you settle beside him.
“You’re being a great motivator. I’m feeling inspired,” Mason says with a half-smile, his tone teasing as he nudges you lightly.
You can’t help but scoff, shaking your head. “These are our friends. And we’re supposed to kill them like it’s nothing?” You laugh softly, but it’s a bitter sound.
Mason’s smirk fades, and he turns to face you more seriously. “We all know how this is going to play out,” he says quietly, his voice laced with a mix of resignation and practicality. “And we promised we weren’t going to take it to heart. Quick and painless, remember?”
You exhale slowly, your chest heavy. “Doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen. And let’s say… in the off chance that we both make it to the end. Then what?” You meet his gaze, both of you silently acknowledging the truth between you. Neither of you would be able to kill the other. Not after everything.
Mason’s eyes soften, but his voice is firm as he shakes his head. “That’s never going to happen. You know that,” he says, his tone heavy with certainty. “It’ll be someone else, or… it’ll be me.”
You can’t argue with that. It’s the cruel reality you’re both facing, one that feels too dark to even consider. You drop your head into your hands, the weight of it all pushing down on you.
Mason doesn’t have any comforting words—he knows they won’t help. He just reaches over, ruffling your hair lightly before pulling you into his side. His presence, solid and steady, is the only thing that’s keeping you from shattering in that moment.
You watch the District Three pair go, followed by Finnick, and then Mags. Each one of them stepping into their fate, and each one leaving a piece of their heart in the room.
Time passes slowly. Your own thoughts are heavy, weighed down by the same unspoken question everyone in this room is carrying.
And then, you hear it.
“District Five, Mason Cover. Report for individual assessment.”
Your body freezes. Your heart skips a beat.
Mason feels it, too. The weight of the arena, the uncertainty of what’s to come, the fear—it’s all there, hanging between you two.
“Darling, it’s going to be fine,” he whispers in your ear, his voice calm, steady. He presses a kiss to the top of your head, the warmth of his lips a small comfort in the sea of tension.
You try to return the reassurance, offering him a soft smile. “Good luck,” you murmur, even though you’re not sure if either of you believe it.
He meets your gaze, his smile small but sincere. “You too,” he says, his voice softer now. He ruffles your hair one more time before standing up. “See you on the other side.” His words are light, basically mimicking Gloss. But you still teared up.
You nod, trying to swallow the lump in your throat as you watch him leave. He glances back once, offering you a final wave, and then he’s gone, heading toward the door with that same quiet confidence he always carries.
Now, the fear was real. The anxiety had a tight grip on you, and no matter how hard you tried to steady your breathing, it was a struggle. Your chest felt heavy, each breath an effort.
You closed your eyes, trying to center yourself. Ten minutes. That’s all you had. Ten minutes to somehow find a way to push past the panic, to focus, to prepare yourself.
You were so far inside your head that you didn’t even notice someone sitting down next to you until you heard a soft voice.
“Are you ready for your assessment?”
You jumped, startled, and turned to see Peeta sitting where Mason had just been. He gave you a small, sheepish smile. “Stupid question, I know. I’m sure you’ve been asked by everyone else. Should’ve said something else.”
It wasn’t what you expected—Peeta of all people sitting next to you. You glanced over at Katniss. She was watching you closely from a distance, eyes trained on both you and Peeta, her protective instincts sharp.
You turned back to Peeta, trying to shake off the unease. “I’m ready enough to just get it over with,” you replied, your voice steady, but you could feel the tension coiled deep inside you. “Are you?”
He nodded, though his smile was a little strained. “Yeah, it’s kind of crazy, you know? I was doing this exact thing a year ago. Not much has changed.”
You shook your head slightly. “Everything’s changed, Peeta. You’re a Victor now. That means something.”
Peeta met your eyes, his gaze serious. “We both know I wasn’t supposed to be one.”
“I could say that about all of us,” you said, your voice soft but firm. “None of us were supposed to be Victors, but here we are. And it’s important, Peeta, that you start believing that. It’s the only way you’re going to make it out of the arena.”
He didn’t speak for a moment, just looking at you like he was weighing your words. Finally, he broke the silence, his fingers fidgeting with a loose thread on his sleeve. “Haymitch says we should team up. I know enough to sense how important you are to him.”
You raised an eyebrow. “You’re trying to recruit me?” you asked, teasing but also a little touched by his honesty. You could tell he wasn’t exactly sure where this conversation was heading, but he was trying to find his footing.
He looked uncomfortable but pushed on, “I’m not saying we should be best friends or anything, but you’re important to Haymitch. I think you’re important to Katniss, too, even if she doesn’t show it.” His voice softened. “I’m just doing what I can. You know, trying to look out for her… and for us.”
You couldn’t help but smile. “I don’t think your fiancée would agree,” you said, your tone light, but there was an edge to it.
Peeta let out a small, dry chuckle. “And I don’t think your partner would be thrilled, either, but here we are.”
That made you smirk. He had a way with words, even when he was hesitant. “I’ve always been on your team, Peeta. I just need you to accept that you’re on mine, too.” Your voice was quieter now, more earnest. You met his gaze, not backing down. “I’m behind you a hundred percent. And I know Mason will be, too. But you have to trust us. Just like you want to protect Katniss, I do too. I’ll do whatever it takes to see her come out of this alive.”
You leaned in slightly, lowering your voice. “If you don’t trust my words, trust Haymitch’s. I’m on your side.”
Before Peeta could respond, the loudspeaker crackled, cutting through the tension.
“District Five, Y/N L/N. Report for individual assessment.”
You tensed, your heart skipping a beat, but you tried to keep your breathing steady. This was it. You stood up slowly, then turned to Peeta. With a light touch, you patted his leg.
“I’ll see you later, Peeta. Good luck to you both,” you said, your voice more confident than you felt.
Peeta watched you as you turned to leave, his eyes following you until you reached the door.
Once you were out of sight, Peeta made his way back to Katniss, who was still watching him closely, waiting for him to speak. He sat down beside her, his expression thoughtful.
“I think we should team up with District Five,” he said, his voice low but sure.
Katniss looked at him, skepticism written across her face. “Are you sure about this?”
Peeta met her gaze, his eyes steady. “Trust me.”
After a long moment of silence, Katniss finally nodded, her resolve firming. “Okay,” she said quietly.
************
You stared at yourself in the mirror, your reflection a ghost of someone you used to be. The makeup was heavy, transforming your features, and for a moment, you looked like you did nine years ago—before the Games, before all of this.
Tomorrow, you would be thrown back into the arena. Tomorrow, you’d have to fight your friends, leave your husband behind, and maybe die. And the weight of it made everything seem so much heavier.
You were scared during your first Games, but this fear—it was different. It was paralyzing. It settled deep in your chest, like something solid and cold, and you couldn’t breathe.
The sound of cheers rang out as Caesar Flickerman strutted onto the stage, his perfect, rehearsed smile beaming across the crowd. Your pulse quickened.
"There, absolutely perfection," your stylist said, patting her face to dry the tears you hadn't realized had begun to fall.
"Thank you," you whispered, blinking the haze from your eyes. You stepped onto the line between Mags and Mason, trying to steady your breath, your heart threatening to burst out of your chest.
"Breathe," Mason whispered, his voice low but steady. "You look beautiful."
A small, trembling smile pulled at your lips. "Thanks," you murmured, looking at Mags. "You look pretty," you added, hoping it would ease the tension in the air. Mags smiled, a soft, knowing look on her face. She pointed to your dress. "Thank you," you said. "It’s supposed to mimic my first Games."
You swallowed, looking around at the others, trying to block out the tightness in your chest. Nervous energy swirled around you. The others could feel it, too, but everyone was doing their best to keep it together.
You saw Gloss take his turn, then Cash, and then Brutus. One after another, they walked past you, their faces filled with the same mix of dread and determination.
"I can’t believe tomorrow is the day," Mason said, jumping up slightly, the nerves evident in his voice.
"You're telling me," Finnick said, giving a smirk that didn’t quite reach his eyes. "I’m about to perform my best acting yet—pretend I’m not already dead inside—and then I’m gonna die. Sounds like a real blast."
Mags shot him a disapproving look, but you could see the faintest hint of a smile tug at her lips.
"We just have to get through tonight. Tomorrow’s a whole other day," you said, trying to sound reassuring, though the words felt hollow even as you spoke them. "We’ll figure it out then."
The others fell silent at your words, each one lost in their own thoughts, the realization of what was coming settling in.
Finnick went next, followed by Mags. Then Mason.
"Wish me luck," Mason said, winking at you before stepping onto the stage, the Capitol audience erupting in applause.
"Good luck," you said, smirking, watching him stride out with the swagger only Mason could pull off.
"It’s annoying how charming that guy is," you muttered, half to yourself.
Johanna let out a short, dry laugh. "Do you think, before I die, he’ll grant me a death-wish kiss?" she joked, her usual biting humor still intact.
You nudged her with a grin. "Hey, I think the probability of that is extremely high."
Mason’s interview went off without a hitch. He played the ‘I’m about to die, and I never loved anyone’ card, and the Capitol ate it up. The single women in the crowd swooned as he strutted off the stage, bowing to his fellow tributes.
"And now, for one of the Capitol’s favorite girls, let’s hear it for Y/N L/N!" The announcement was loud, and the crowd roared in excitement.
You took a deep breath, forcing a smile as you walked onto the stage, the eyes of Panem on you. You knew how to work a crowd, how to present yourself as the confident, charming Victor everyone adored. But tonight, it felt like more of a mask than ever before.
Caesar Flickerman’s smile was as dazzling as always, his voice smooth as silk. "Oh, my dear girl, how are you?" He leaned in for air kisses, his theatrics just a little too perfect.
"Well, I’ve had better days," you said, a soft smile curling at the corner of your lips.
"Today is so emotional and hard for all of us, isn’t it?" Caesar continued, his tone dripping with faux sympathy. "But you—good news for you—you scored an eleven! Absolutely amazing!"
"Thank you," you replied, trying to keep the flatness from your voice. "Since I’m probably going to die tomorrow, I wanted to go out with a bang, I guess."
You saw Caesar’s smile falter for a moment, unsure how to handle your bluntness. But he recovered quickly, ever the professional.
"Well, a bang you did," he said, voice still upbeat. "Now, my dear, we’ve heard so much about those waiting for you back at home. Who’s there for you? Anyone special?"
You forced your gaze to drift across the audience, your eyes scanning the sea of faces before finding the one that anchored you—Haymitch. His eyes were locked onto you, steady and unwavering, like a lifeline in the chaos.
"I have my parents back at home, taking care of my younger brother," you said, your voice a little softer now. "It was definitely a surprise when these Games were announced."
"I’m sure they’re watching you now and cheering for you back in District 5," Caesar smiled warmly, his eyes glistening with false compassion.
You swallowed hard, your throat tightening. "I doubt they will. They promised me they won’t watch. Who would want to see their child get slaughtered?" The words left your lips, cold and harsh, but they were the truth. The crowd grew silent, and Caesar struggled to regain his composure.
"Uh…" He coughed awkwardly, glancing toward the camera. "Well, that’s unfortunate, I’m sure they’ll be missing a good game. Is there anyone else waiting for you? Maybe a man? A little boy toy?"
You didn’t even need to think. The words felt right, even as they left your lips. Your fingers moved instinctively to the necklace around your neck, slipping it off with a deliberate motion, and you looked back at Haymitch. His eyes widened as your fingers found the ring you’d been wearing around your neck. The same one you’d both always kept secret.
"I do, actually," you whispered, barely above the noise of the crowd. A ripple of surprise ran through the room. "I have someone waiting for me."
You slowly slid the ring onto your finger, letting it shine under the Capitol lights. For a moment, the crowd was dead silent. The world seemed to hold its breath. And then, the cheers exploded.
You could see Haymitch in the crowd, his expression unreadable at first. But then, something in his eyes softened. He didn’t hide his emotions, even if you couldn’t hear his voice. It was in the way his hand shook as he reached for his flask, eyes never leaving you.
"You’re married?" Caesar’s voice was full of excitement now, a gleam in his eyes. "What a surprise! Tell us, who is this lucky man?"
You met his gaze again, locking your eyes with Haymitch's. "I’m afraid I’m keeping that information to myself," you replied, your voice calm but firm. "Just in case I die tomorrow, I want him to move on, to find happiness. Obviously, without all the cameras and media .That’s all I’ve ever wanted for him."
You glanced down at the ring, your fingers brushing over it gently as you spoke. "My death will not be the end of him. He will mourn, but he will live. Live for me. Live for us. Live for the world. My death won’t erase our love. Our love will live on. These Games may take everything from me, but our love? That’s something that will last forever." You blinked rapidly, tears beginning to blur your vision. "I’ve loved and been loved in these few years more than some do in a lifetime," you whispered, your voice cracking slightly. "I’m one of the lucky ones."
The audience was silent for a moment before an overwhelming wave of applause broke through the air. You could see the tears welling in Caesar's eyes, his voice shaking with emotion. "That… that was beautiful," he said, his tone sincere. "I’m sure he knows how deeply you love him. And he’s lucky to have someone like you."
"Thank you," you said softly, your heart pounding.
The audience cheered again, but you only had eyes for Haymitch now. You blew him a kiss, a simple gesture, but one that felt like it carried everything you couldn’t say aloud.
"That was amazing," Mason said, wrapping you in a tight hug the second you stepped off the stage.
You cried in his arms, the weight of everything threatening to swallow you whole. "It’s going to be okay, darling girl," Mason whispered, his voice warm and comforting. "He knows you love him, and you know he loves you."
Johanna was next to you, rubbing your back. "You really did a good job. I think all of Panem’s crying right now."
You stopped crying, and only the sound of the following interview filled the room until Johanna spoke again, her voice annoyed.
"Really? A wedding dress?" She raised an eyebrow at Katniss’s dress, which looked suspiciously like a wedding gown.
"Snow made me wear it," Katniss said, her tone flat, not caring much for Johanna, but glanced at you. Haymitch trusted you, and so did Peeta.
"Make him pay for it," Johanna smirked, causing Katniss to smile faintly.
"Come on, let’s get you cleaned up," Mason said, wrapping an arm around you, guiding you away. But then Katniss reached for your wrist, stopping you.
Mason tensed but you turned towards her.
"You did good," Katniss said quietly, nodding at your ring. "I know he appreciates it."
"Thank you," you smiled at her, though it was strained.
"Plus, I’m sure you made Peeta cry," Katniss added with a rare smile.
You laughed softly, your heart lighter despite everything. "Good luck," you said, offering her a smile before following Mason out.
"So, we’re really teaming up with District 12, huh?" Mason said, rolling his eyes.
You nudged him, a small smile playing at your lips. "Yup."
*********
You found yourself staring out the window of the living area in your suite, the stars twinkling distantly in the night sky. Mason was sitting across from you, nose buried in a book, but you couldn't tear your eyes away from the vast darkness outside.
After the interviews, you all held hands, the gesture simple but filled with power, as if, for a brief moment, the Games could be stopped. But an hour ago, Abigail had come in and crushed that fragile hope, informing you that the Games would go on as planned.
You sighed, the weight of the news heavy in your chest.
"I know you're not reading," you said, breaking the silence as you turned to Mason. "You've been on the same page for the last six minutes. It usually takes you three."
He looked up at you, a sly smirk tugging at his lips before he closed the book, setting it down on the table with a soft thud. "True," he said, the humor gone from his eyes. "But it's hard to focus on anything when death is looming over us."
You didn’t respond. Instead, you stood and moved to the window, resting your hands on the cool glass. He followed you, his footsteps soft on the carpet.
"Did Cash seem fine when you told her we weren't joining the pack?" he asked, trying to shift the conversation.
Your shoulders tensed slightly, "She wasn’t happy, but she knew," You said with a nod. "They all knew we were going with District 12. Expected it, even." Then you turned to him, your heart pounding slightly. "Are you mad at me?"
Mason shook his head instantly, his expression softening. "No. Never." He sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair. "I just… I just hope we're not making a mistake. That’s all."
You hesitated, then spoke the words that had been in your head. "You could always go with the Careers, you know."
The words barely left your mouth when Mason shot you a glare, his eyes darkening. "Shut up," he said, his voice sharp but filled with the raw edge of care. "I've been saying the whole time—it's you and me, always. If you want to team up with the newbies, we do it. If you want to team up with the Careers, we do it. Hell, if you want us to be on our own, we’ll do that too. I’m with you, partner, okay? You can't get rid of me that easily." He paused, a small, teasing smile creeping onto his lips. "I’ve been taking care of your ass for almost a decade. I’m not about to stop now."
A lump formed in your throat at his words, and you smiled, fighting back the emotions. "You're my best friend," you whispered, and he chuckled.
"Don’t let Cash hear that or she’ll make it her mission to have my head tomorrow." His voice was light, but there was something deeply affectionate in it.
"I’m serious, Mase," you nudged him, a little more forceful now, your voice cracking. "You’re my best friend. And this… this fucking sucks."
Without another word, Mason wrapped his arms around you tightly, his grip firm and warm. "Darling," he murmured into your hair, "no matter what happens tomorrow, know that you're my best friend. You’ve always been. And, I can’t really be mad at you. They're an alright team. The girl is good with those damn arrows. Plus, we get Finnick and Beetee. It could be worse."
You stayed like that for a long while, holding onto each other, the silent comfort of a friendship that had weathered more storms than anyone should ever have to. Then you heard a soft cough from the doorway, and you reluctantly pulled away.
You turned to see Haymitch standing there, leaning against the doorframe with a smirk. "Am I interrupting something?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
Mason rolled his eyes dramatically, his tone mockingly offended. "Dude," he said with a grin, "I just got told I’m her best friend, and you couldn’t wait five minutes to swoop in? That’s crazy."
Haymitch raised his hands in surrender, still grinning. "Ouch, I thought that was me." He turned to you with a feigned look of hurt on his face. "Sweetheart, you wound me."
You shot them both a tired, amused look. "Quiet, both of you." You turned to Mason, giving him a small, pleading glance. "Mase, can you leave us, please?"
He groaned, but there was affection in the sound. "Fiiiiiinnnneeeee." He dragged out the word in a mock pout, but then he wrapped his arms around you one more time, pulling you close. "I’ll see you tomorrow, okay? I’ll find you." He kissed your forehead softly, the gesture comforting despite the weight of everything.
He pulled back, moving toward Haymitch. Before he left, Haymitch stopped and whispered, "Take care of her in there, and I’ll take care of you both out here."
Mason nodded, just slightly, so you wouldn’t notice, before giving Haymitch a firm hug. He stepped back, his eyes lingering on you for a moment before he turned to leave. "Good luck, Mason," Haymitch said softly, patting his shoulder as he went.
Mason gave a small nod, trying to keep the tension from showing, and then he left the room.
The door closed behind him, and for a brief moment, the room was silent.
Haymitch walked toward you, his steps slower than usual, more weighted. You didn’t need him to say anything. You already knew.
This was goodbye.
Without a word, he wrapped his arms around you, holding you tightly like he was trying to memorize the way you fit against him. You buried your face into his chest, inhaling the scent of him—whiskey, pine, and something softer, something that always felt like home.
You wouldn’t see him tomorrow. As soon as you woke, the Peacekeepers would be there—no time for goodbyes, no time for holding each other like this. They’d tear you away from your bed, from this room, from him.
So this… this was it.
The two of you settled onto the couch in silence, your body curled into his, your face tucked into the crook of his neck, and his arms wrapped around you like armor. His hand moved up and down your back in a slow rhythm, steady and calming, though his heart beat loud and uneven against your cheek.
You could die like this, you thought.
God, you wished you would die like this.
"You know what I was thinking?" you said softly, your voice barely above a whisper.
Haymitch hummed in response, low and thoughtful, his fingers gently threading through your hair.
"I think we were meant to be with each other. In every universe. It's always you and I,” you breathed. “And I know... I know in another universe, we got to have a beautiful, long life together."
His lips twitched into a smile, pained but sincere. "You think so?"
"Oh, I know so," you said, the corner of your mouth lifting. “We have three kids. Two girls and one boy. They're perfect—just like we always dreamed. We live in this beautiful home with a white picket fence, big porch swing. You finally grow tomatoes that don’t taste like dirt. We grow old together. We see our kids have kids. We'd be cool grandparents."
"The best grandparents," he said quietly, still stroking your hair, his voice strained and cracked with longing. “Is it weird that I'm jealous of that us?”
"No... because so am I." You closed your eyes, the fantasy a cruel comfort. It felt so real. It should have been real.
Your voice broke as the grief crashed over you like a wave. “This isn’t fair.” The words came out as a sob, and you shoved your face deeper into his neck, clinging to him like he was the last safe thing in the world.
"I know, sweetheart. I know," he murmured, holding you tighter. His hand moved slowly over your back, as if he could rub the pain away, ease the break in your heart. "But I'm going to help you. You and Mase. It's going to be alright.”
He leaned back just enough to look you in the eyes, his own gaze sharp and urgent. “I just need you to stay with Katniss. No matter what—stay with her.”
You blinked, confused for a moment, but nodded. There was something in his tone, something just beneath the surface. You didn't know the full story, but you trusted him. You always had.
"I promise, Haymitch. I’ll try to protect them... for as long as I breathe."
He stilled. Completely.
His jaw clenched, and his grip on you tightened again.
He hadn’t meant for it to come across like that. God, no. He never wanted you to think you owed him that—your life for theirs. That wasn’t what this was.
"I just need you to breathe," he said, his voice rough and trembling. “That’s all I need, okay? Just breathe. Protect yourself. I’ll take care of the kids. I promise. But you—you look after you. No playing hero. No playing mama bear.”
You lifted your head to meet his eyes, your heart thudding. “You care for those kids, Haymitch Abernathy,” you said, voice firm. “I’m going to protect them as much as I can. Nothing’s happening to those kids if I’m there.”
He stared at you, the pain behind his eyes shining like glass ready to crack.
"And I care about you, Y/N Abernathy." His voice hitched. “So you're going to make sure you survive.”
Your bottom lip trembled. You looked at him—at the man you loved more than anything—and whispered, “Only one comes out alive, Mitch.”
Your voice cracked like a brittle bone.
“I’m not even in the top five of who should win.”
Tears welled in your eyes again, hot and burning, and his face crumpled just slightly as he pulled you back into him, his breath stuttering.
You could see it. The way he was unraveling. The storm brewing behind his eyes. He had been holding something in, and it was clawing its way out of him, ripping him apart from the inside.
You’d been accepting your fate quietly, trying not to make it harder for him. But he needed more from you now.
He needed you to fight.
He needed you to live.
He needed to say the thing that had been killing him since the moment he knew. There was this plan. A plan to get Katniss and all the other victors out of there. A plan that could save your life. And he wishes he could tell you scream it out.
But Plutarch didn’t want you to involved because of your close relationship with the careers. He said it could compromise the whole mission. But he needed to tell you. He needed to guarantee your safety. Plutarch be dammed. You’re his wife. You’re the only thing that matters.
"I—" he started, voice hoarse, his hands twitching at his sides. Just spit it out he thought to himself.
You turned to face him fully, one brow raised. He was spinning in his own mind, fighting every instinct. You could tell he wanted to say it, to scream it but there was something holding him back.
"There's thi—well, there's this... this plan... Plutarch—" Why couldn’t he just say it? His heart was screaming at him to spit it out.
You stepped in before he could finish, your heart stalling. You knew that look, the flickering indecision, the desperation caught behind his teeth.
"You're not supposed to tell me, right?" you asked gently, already knowing the answer.
He faltered, looking at you like you’d read the last page of a book he hadn’t finished. He wanted to tell you. So badly. And that’s what terrified you.
"There's this plan—"
"Stop." You raised your hand, voice quiet but firm. A small, tired smile tugged at your lips. "Don’t tell me."
He stared at you in disbelief, his brows furrowed like you’d just spoken in a language he didn’t understand. "What...?"
"There's a reason why you can’t tell me, right?"
He hesitated… and nodded.
"Then it’s probably a good reason.”
"It can save your life," he whispered, and that was when the first tear slipped from his eye. He was screaming at himself to tell you to save you. Why the hell isn’t he saying anything?
Your chest tightened, but you held your voice steady. "But it jeopardizes Katniss, doesn’t it?"
He didn’t answer. He didn’t have to. The silence was loud enough.
"Then don’t tell me."
"Sweetheart..."
"Don't tell me, Haymitch." You stepped closer, looking up at him with as much reassurance as you could muster. "I’m telling you not to tell me. You were going to—and now I’m saying no. So if anything happens, it’s on me. Not you. Never you."
You could already see it in his eyes—the guilt building like floodwater behind a dam. You couldn’t let it break him.
"You need to protect Katniss," you said softly.
His expression cracked as tears finally spilled freely, his voice breaking under the weight of his helplessness. "I need to protect you."
And that nearly broke you.
You had to look away, just for a second. "You’re putting her first," you said, your voice catching. "And that’s okay. You need to put her first. Always. You and I both know that. It’s for the greater cause—something bigger than just you and me."
He clenched his jaw. You both knew it was true. If the rebellion was going to work, it had to be Katniss. It had to be the Mockingjay.
"I need you safe," he said again, like if he repeated it enough, the universe would listen.
"And we need her alive." You were already shifting, already planning. Your voice quickened, desperate to be useful, to give him something to hold on to. "Both of them. Without Peeta, Katniss won’t want to do anything for the rebellion. Okay, I’ll look after Katniss and Mase can look after Peeta. Well of course I’ll also look after Peeta, but—"
You rambled, words spilling from you as your mind raced, building walls to keep the fear from crashing in. And he just looked at you.
God, he looked at you—like you were made of light and heartbreak and everything he could never deserve.
Then suddenly his hands were on your face, steadying you, grounding you. He needed to tell you. It was eating him alive.
You froze under his touch, your voice softening to a murmur. "Don’t tell me, Haymitch. I’m not mad. I won’t be mad. I’ll never make you choose between them or me. I care about them too."
He pulled you close, resting his forehead against yours, his breath trembling.
"It’s always been you," he choked, tears falling freely now. "It’s always going to be you."
You closed your eyes. If you could bottle this moment—this closeness, this certainty—you would have. You’d carry it into the arena like armor.
"This is more than just us, Mitch," you whispered. "If she survives… the districts' hope still lives."
He let out a bitter, shaking breath. "Damn it, woman, I want to tell you. I need to tell you."
You touched his cheek gently, tears stinging your eyes. "But you're holding back for her. And I'm telling you it’s okay."
You swallowed the lump in your throat and straightened your shoulders. "I told you since the beginning—I’m getting her out of that arena. Now you need to promise me you will too. Over Mags. Over Beetee. Over me."
Your voice didn’t shake this time. Not when it mattered most.
You looked into his eyes and saw the war in them—saw him silently screaming I can’t lose you.
But he knew you were right.
"I promise," he whispered, barely getting it out.
"It's going to be okay. We're going to be okay," you whispered, your voice thick with unshed tears as you pulled back, giving him a smile that trembled with hope and heartbreak. "And then one morning, you’ll wake up back in District 12… and you’re going to look out at the sky and feel it. Feel the peace. The Games will be gone. The children will be able to be children again. It’s what we’ve always wanted."
You smiled as you spoke, but he could see it—you weren’t just comforting him.
You were saying goodbye.
And Haymitch felt it. In the hollowness in his chest. In the way your voice cracked just slightly when you talked about a future you didn’t believe you’d see. You were accepting your death. Quietly. Gracefully. Willingly.
Even when the cause didn’t trust you enough to let you in.
And yet, here you were, dreaming about a life beyond the war—knowing you wouldn’t be part of it.
His hands clenched into fists at his sides.
“I feel like I’m making a mistake,” he said, voice raw, like it scraped his throat on the way out. Damn the cause. Damn Plutarch. Damn those District 12 kids. Damn this plan.
“You’re not,” you said gently. “You’re a mentor. We give our lives for those children. If I could’ve saved my tributes, I would’ve.”
You smiled through your tears, and it wrecked him.
“You’re the best mentor known to man. And an even better husband.”
That was the final blow.
“I love you,” he whispered like a confession, like a prayer. “So, so much. More than the moon loves the stars. More than the sun loves the ocean. I love you, Y/N.”
You cupped his face like he was fragile, precious. Like he wasn’t the broken man the world always thought him to be.
“And I love you, Haymitch,” you murmured. You nestled yourself back into his chest, fitting there like you were made for him. And maybe you were.
You both stared out the window as silence wrapped around you. Not a single word for an hour—just hearts beating in sync, like this moment could stretch forever.
But it couldn’t.
Eventually, you sat up slowly, blinking back the heaviness in your eyes. “You have to go check on the kids. The elevator locks soon… and I doubt you want to walk up seven flights of stairs.”
He clung to you a little tighter. “I’ll be fine. Come back here.”
You gave him that look. The one that always shut down every argument. Soft, patient, immovable.
He sighed. He knew. You were doing it for the kids. For him. If the Peacekeepers found you both here, alone, asleep—it would be over for him. You’d never let that happen.
“Fine. Fine.”
You walked him toward the elevator slowly, each step a thousand pounds heavier than the last.
Then you paused.
“Tell Effie I say that I love her… and that she needs to take care of you. No more than three whiskey bottles a week.”
He didn’t laugh.
He didn’t even smile.
He just pulled you into his arms like he was afraid you’d disappear the second he let go.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered, and he meant it for everything—for the plan, for the Capitol, for the years wasted, for the future he couldn’t give you.
“I’m not,” you said softly, holding his face like a lifeline. “I lived a beautiful life… with amazing friends and a perfect husband. I meant what I said. I felt more love in the years with you than most people ever feel in a lifetime. You made me happy. You make me proud. After everything you’ve been through, we’re finally going to be at peace.”
He was breaking. He didn’t care how pathetic it looked.
“I need you,” he choked, like the words themselves were ripping something loose in his chest.
“And you have me,” you whispered, “forever.”
You kissed his cheek, pulled him close again, memorized the shape of his body, the weight of him in your arms.
“I’ll be fine,” you lied. “Remember your promise.”
You stepped back, slowly pushing him toward the elevator. Your hands were shaking, but your face was steady. Because if you faltered—if you gave in—he would stay. And that was too dangerous.
The doors slid open.
And he didn’t move.
He couldn’t.
But you gave him a little push.
Because you had to.
He stepped inside. And as the doors started to close, you saw the panic take over his features.
"I love you," he said, the words tearing from his chest like a final breath. His heart physically ached. Like it was collapsing in on itself. Like maybe, just maybe, a person could die from a broken heart.
"And I love you too," you replied, the softest smile breaking through your tears. How could you smile when you were walking into your death?
Haymitch didn’t know.
But you always found light, even at the end of the world.
“I’ll see you in the next lifetime,” you said, and your voice cracked on the final word.
The doors slid shut.
And as the elevator descended, the last thing he heard was the sound of you sobbing.
And that was it.
That was the sound that shattered him.
This felt extremely long lol anyways thank y'all for reading! I also live for your comments they actually make my day.
Let me know what you want to see!!!!

hi beautiful! could you do pre-crash!lottie head cannons similar to your wildness!lottie one? thank you! :)💐
⋆⁺ ✮⋆⁺ Pre-Crash!Lottie Matthews x Reader
synopsis: {relationship headcannons after getting rescued from the wilderness} warnings: 18+ at the end.
AN// so sorry this took months, I hit a bit of a mental block. hope you enjoy <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
♡︎ The pair of you were inseparable out in the wilderness, attached to the hip, then you got rescued, and things took a complete one-eighty for both the better and the worse.
♡︎ You had tired to desperately to stay with her, to stop them from taking her away but you were only met with a bunch of legal jargon that made little to no sense to your already fragile mind— instead you made a promise for both your sakes to get better so hopefully you’ll see her once again.
“It’ll be okay Lot— we’ll be okay.” You murmur the same words as she did to you, hands clasped tightly around her own as if to tether yourself to her. Lottie wouldn’t blink so much, let alone talk, not even a peep. “I’ll write to you every day,” and before she was whisked away, her fingers tightened the tiniest bit around your palm— a feeling that lingered for months.
♡︎ Lottie would read and reread those letters almost every single day and in return you’d get a few replies throughout the months telling you all about her week and such— a back and forth of longing, all those scribbled, “I miss yous” “I love yous” the paragraphs where she’d describe how desperately she wanted to see you, hug you and all the things she wanted to do when she was released. It gave you the strength to keep up with your own therapy and umpteen doctor appointments.
♡︎ Seeing you for the first time in months nearly took the poor girl out— hell, it almost brought you to your knees. Watching her rush over to you, dropping her bag and throwing her arms around your shoulder as if she was finally coming home after a long trip.
“You’re here, you really came,” and despite everything, it was still her. The same girl who’d paint your nails and do your makeup, who’d hold your pinky beneath tables and admire you from across the classroom. “Course I am, I promised.” You only dare to pull back an inch, hands cupping her face as she stares up at you with deep, brown, glossy eyes.
♡︎ Lottie found it really hard to settle in at first, she would have bad days like anyone— but sometimes these days would be really bad, often turning to weeks depending on the circumstances.
♡︎ There were times when she wouldn’t talk, words wedged in the back of her throat, her face just a blank expression, like she was light years away— swept up in her own mind. You always kept close to her, gently brushing your fingertips along the back of her hand to let her know you were still there, softly whispering reassuring words to her. Then, eventually, you’d get a small smile or she’d wordlessly reach out for you, slowly coming back to reality.
“Oh, there she is.” you tease her at the sight of her smile widening at your tender touch, although there was relief in your eyes that was unmissable, and she’d respond with a soft, “I never left.”
♡︎ You would learn her triggers quickly— straying away from loud noises and any sudden movements or anything else that might cause her to retreat back into herself.
♡︎ Lottie’s medication kept her afloat for the most part, although it didn’t prevent nightmares that felt a little too familiar. Warped memories that have been engraved into her mind, coming back to haunt her until she’s jostling from her sleep with a ragged, almost pained gasp— a noise just shy of a scream that would wake you immediately.
“Hey, Lottie— hey, hey.” your tone slightly rough from sleep as you slowly push yourself up, hands gently reaching out to cup her teary face, grounding her. “You’re okay, you’re safe, Lot.” you would try to soothe her, wiping away her tears and guiding her breaths as she clings to you with a sob. “You’re home, baby, you’re home.”
♡︎ Those nights were spent watching late-night television, holding her close to you and playing with her hair until she either fell back asleep or the sun rose.
♡︎ She would feel awful about keeping you up at ungodly hours of the night because her mind decided to take an unwanted trip down memory lane.
“You can go back to sleep, I’ll be fine,” she murmurs, face tucked beneath your chin, words muffled against your collarbones as her arms tighten around you. “Not until you’re okay,” and Lottie knew it was a losing argument; you were stubborn when it came to her.
♡︎ Pampering was a must— whether it be morning or night or the whole day. Sometimes the pair of you just needed the rejuvenating and what better way to do so then to spend hours looking after each other.
“You’re so pretty,” Lottie's voice was just shy of a whisper as her fingertips ever so gently caressing the apple of your cheeks. “Yeah, even with this ridiculous face mask on?” You smirk, and she replies with an eager nod, leaning forwards to steal a kiss from your lips. “Mhm, especially with the face mask on, honey.”
♡︎ Lottie loves to keep busy with you in any and all ways possible— all that time out in the wilderness made you forget the fun parts of life like baking together, arts and craft nights, fruit picking during the summer and going to the local pumpkin patch during the autumn. She had a list of all the things she wanted to do written in her journal.
“I’m never taking it off.” Lottie beams, her deep brown eyes watching you gently clasp the bracelet you had made around her wrist— a perfect fit. “Thank you, baby.” She’s all giddy, and it makes you giddy as she leans over to press a kiss to your cheek.
♡18+ from this point♡
♡︎ It would take a while for Lottie to be comfortable getting intimate again after everything she had been through— not to mention her medication affects her sex drive.
♡ ︎Lottie enjoys it slow and loving— open-mouthed kisses along her jaw and neck and tender hands tracing over her curves, really gets her going— after all she loves to be adored.
“I’ve got you, just relax f’me.” your words muffled into the crook of her neck as you brush a lingering kiss against the underside of her jaw— her hands grasping at your shirt, unable to stop herself from moaning. “Mm, please— I want you closer.” her back arches up into your touch as your mouth descends her body.
♡ You often took the lead to begin with, but it was she who was in full control— you were at her every command and she trusted you completely, trust was a really big thing for Lottie.
♡ On those nights where one of you would wake up from a terrible nightmare and needed to be close— to feel the thrum of the others' steady heartbeat and the heat of skin against skin, you would bathe together— that’s how you’d both come to find a deep appreciation for it. You would buy bath soaks and oils, all that jazz, just for those special occasions.
“Pretty girl.” Lottie's voice was as soft as silk, her arms wrapped around your waist as she sits behind you in the bathtub— her face pressed into the crook of your neck, kissing along the dewy skin of your shoulder. “How’re you feeling now?” her question is met with a small whimpering noise from the back of your throat as you lie back against her chest, her hand slipping between your thighs. “I’m here, baby, just relax.”
♡ Once she was more comfortable, she wouldn’t mind initiating things, wanting to make you feel just as good as you made her feel— it wasn’t a hard job considering she remembered your body like the back of her hand, where to kiss and push and bite.
♡ Experimenting with Lottie was fun— a shock at first when she suddenly came to you one night all shy and red in the cheeks, stuttering, but once she explained, you were all in, and eventually this left you with quite a nice collection of vibrators and strap-ons.
♡ Lottie's strap game is crazy— like in the mind-numbing type of way that leaves you feeling her inside you for days after. And she’s so vocal too, whether she’s giving or receiving. It always leaves you aching for more of her.
“There you go pretty girl, take it all f’me.” or "Such a greedy girl, taking me so deep, huh?" as she’s fucking you into the mattress, hands grasping your hips, moaning like she can feel you cum around her strap. I need her.

Roommies (Chapter 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Roomates Bucky Barnes x fem!reader au
Words: 1,683
Warnings: Slight NSFW, no smut but pretty handsy make-out sesh
A/N: This is the first time I've written any sort of NSFW so sorry if it's not that good, but thank you so much for reading! This is also the last part, I don't think I'm going to write another one but pls enjoy!
( You can read part 1 here )
*****
You, Nat and Wanda arrive at the club, ready to party the night away and forget everything that just happened in the last hour. You go up to the bar, order the first round of drinks and bring them to the table where Nat and Wanda are already sitting.
You've barely finished your drinks by the time you're all up and dancing along to the heavy beat of the music. For a while, you forget about Bucky and just focus of moving with the music and having a great time with your friends. You can feel the care-free energy radiating from everyone and it feels so good, not having to worry about school work or a hot roommate that also happens to be your best friend, it's nice to just let go and be in the moment.
After a while, you notice your feet starting to get sore. You tell Wanda you're going to get another drink and go over to the bar. Sitting on the bar stool you glance around the club while you wait for the bartender to notice you, you're looking at Nat and Wanda dancing their heart away when you hear a voice from behind you.
"Can I buy you a drink?" You turn around to see a guy roughly your age leaning on the bar table. You consider his question, he's pretty fit, not as fit as Bucky but maybe enough for you to forget about Bucky, plus he seems nice.
"Um, Sure, I'll have a vodka-coke, thanks." You give him your most charming smile and watch as he tells the bartender your order. A moment later you've both got your drinks in front of you.
"So, does the pretty lady have a name?" He asks turning all his attention on you. You consider telling him your real name but as nice as he seems you never know, he might be a total stalker, also you're probably never going to see him again anyway so you tell him a fake name.
"And you?" You ask him back taking a sip of your vodka-coke hoping the alcohol will kick in soon.
"Oliver." He answers with an attempt at a flirty grin "But you call me Ollie."
"Well, it's nice to meet you Ollie, thank you for the drink." He's kinda boring but at least he's not being creepy, small blessings. You sit and chat for a bit more before the alcohol fully kicks in and you feel like dancing again.
"Let's dance?" You stand and reach a hand out towards him, hopefully he's a good dancer but you're so tipsy you probably won't even notice.
"Sure." He takes your hand and lets you lead him to the dance floor.
                                                         *****
Its 2am by the time you, Nat and Wanda decide its time to go home, all tipsy and giggly you stumble the 10 minute journey to your flat, dropping Nat and Wanda off on the way. You'd considered going home with Ollie when you were at the club but, honestly you didn't feel like hooking up with anyone that wasn't Bucky, so much for forgetting about him. You step into your flat and lean against the door, with alcohol still in your system you feel too energetic to go to bed so you opt to stumble into the kitchen for anything that might interest you instead.
After a while of rummaging and finding nothing interesting you give up, but you're still not tired enough to go to bed, maybe a warm shower will help relax you. Yeah, that sounds good, so with your mind made up you make your way to the bathroom, occasionally bumping into bits of furniture.
When you reach the bathroom the light is already on but you don't think much about it, you just focus on removing your heels and slipping out of your dress. You push aside the shower curtain and hop into the steamy shower, immediately relaxing as the warm water hits your skin. For a moment, you relish in the feeling of warmth and calm that the water brings until you realize that you never turned the shower on. Wait, if you didn't turn it on, who did?
"Ahem."
You practically jump out of your skin as a masculine voice fake coughs to get your attention. It takes a second for your eyes to focus again and as soon as they do, they land on right on Bucky. A very naked and wet Bucky. Oh, he looks delicious like that, the water dripping down from his chest to the contours of his abs and further south until -
Oh, wow, he's fucking hu-
Bucky clears his throat and looks at you expectantly.
"What?"
"I said, what are you doing?" He repeats with a confused but also, slightly amused expression. If he noticed you staring, he's not bringing it up, which is great because it saves you some embarrassment from this entirely humiliating situation.
"I, um..." You head is still reeling with confusion and arousal you can't even form a coherent answer to his very logical question. You wobble a bit as you half shrug your shoulders to try and convey that you're just as baffled as he is about the whole thing.
He raises his brow slightly, giving you an amused look.
"Are you drunk?" He asks with a small smirk playing on his lips.
"Like, not much." Your words have a slight slur at the end giving you away.
"Oh you're drunk doll." He crosses his arms. Annoyed, you huff and try to do the same but with more sass, which was a poor choice on your part because the motion makes you wobble and you end up slipping forwards right into Bucky's arms.
His biceps feel solid under your grip, you know he works out a lot, but damn, this man's built like a brick house. You look up to find him staring down at you, his cocky expression from earlier gone, replaced by something more sincere - loving even.
It hits you once again that you're standing mere inches from each other, soaking wet and naked as the day you were born. Well, this is not how you thought your evening would go.
Your mind can't help but drift to thoughts you definitely shouldn't be having about your best friend and, maybe it's the alcohol in you making you imagine things, but he looks like he's having some pretty similar thoughts.
The longer you two stand there, both transfixed in each others gazes, the more you feel the need to lean forward kiss him. At that thought alone, your heart rate speeds up and your tummy does flips, it's risky and you might be misinterpreting this whole situation but you can't stop yourself.
In a moment of pure courage, you push yourself forward and crash your lips into his. It feels amazing, better than any late-night daydream you could've come up with and after a second of hesitation, Bucky kisses you back, passionately and full of raw energy. His tongue brushes past your bottom lip and into your mouth, making you whimper and slide your arms up and around his shoulders to bringing him closer.
His hands find your hips and gently push you against the shower wall. The coldness of the water vapor makes you arch your back, lightly grazing your breasts against his chest. Bucky groans as he feels your hard nipples brush against him and reaches his hand up to cup your tit, using his thumb to rub your sensitive peak. The contact makes you moan, which is immediately swallowed by Bucky's passionate mouth.
You feel like you're on could nine, Bucky is everything you imagined and more, you wish you could stay in the moment forever.
But Bucky's movements suddenly stop and his breathing is heavy and rapid as he rests his head on your shoulder.
Still breathless from your intense make-out, "Bucky?"  You question, you're confused as to why he stopped, you were having a great time, right?
"Sorry doll," He lifts his head up to look at you, his pupils dilated and his lips swollen. "Its just that, I really like you, I have for a while now but, I don't want to do this when you're not fully sober."
You're slightly disappointed that you won't be getting laid like you hoped but that was quickly overlooked when you registered his other words.
'I really like you.'
"You like me? Like, really?" You ask, feeling every cell in your body start to bubble with joy.
Bucky likes you.
"Ever since we moved in together." His eyes are filled with such genuineness and love, you feel like you're floating.
He reallylikes you.
Your heart feels as though it's about to combust, you'd figured he must of liked you at least a little bit to be making out with you and not shoving you out of the shower the second you stepped in, but hearing him actually say the words made you feel ecstatic.
Not even in your most unhinged daydreams did you ever think he would confess liking you ever since you moved in together, especially not in a shower of all places. This is definitely your favorite night ever.
You want to pull him in for another kiss, a tender loving kiss this time but you realize you haven't told him you feel the same.
"Me too." You blurt out. "I mean I like you too, is what I'm saying."
He looks at you like you've told him he's won the lottery.
"Yeah? So does that mean I can take you on a date?" His plump and well-kissed lips form into a smirk.
"Maybe once we get out this shower." You smirk back, your belly doing back-flips at the prospect of going on a date with Bucky.
You both burst into huge smiles as you turn off the shower and dry yourselves off. Once you're fully dried and in your sleeping clothes, you crawl into Bucky's bed and cuddle up to each other.
You don't think you've ever fallen asleep feeling so content and happy.

Chaotic highlights from today's flurry video
Luke asking the audience for shit they've been told by their fathers and upon getting a response, smiles and calls it 'excellent'
"You're not mine!" "So you cheated on mom?" I- what?
"He- she- he or she-" "SHE" The full offense taken, don't misgender the nymph-
When a second nymph is mentioned, Sam doesn't get up to join Luke, instead forcing him to do the 2-character flashback scene on his own
Edit because I though I added this bulletpoint but ig not: How does Luke differentiate the two nymphs? By going full-on gremlin mode for the male one of course! This is Luke we're talking about after all, I'd expect nothing less
Which then leads to Luke mime making out and having sex with himself on stage. This is the content we subscribe for-
Tom looking so baffled by the original spit joke, just repeating looking between Sam and the glass of beer, and absolutely refusing to move past it
"You boys mind out for the gators" "You boys? Her name's Brandine!" Luke's turn to incorrectly gender a character
Now that I think of it, a lot of the chaos in this video was Luke's doing
On another note, the spit joke progressing from 'haha spit in his own beer' to 'spit in another person's beer' to 'spit in mouth and oh no i don't like these implications'
Might start making these kinds of posts for their longforms too idk 🤷 Can't really call those 'live commentaries at this point though, so we'll see what I end up calling them instead

[ pt 1 ] fwb!simon pt 2
--
you blink at him. once, twice, four times over, trying to make sense of the words he just said.
i’m in love with ya.
the words hang heavy in the air, thick enough to choke on.
“oh,” is all you manage at first. then, when the silence stretches too long and he’s still looking at you like that—like he’s waiting for something, hoping for something—you force yourself to shake your head.
“simon, i’m sorry,” you say, voice quiet, careful. “but i don’t feel the same way.”
you think saying it plainly will be best, will make it hurt less. but you watch his face, watch as the flicker of something in his eyes dims, and you realize there’s no easy way to crush a man like him.
he merely shrugs. nods. like you just told him it’s going to rain later.
so you nod, too, because what else can you do? you reach for your shirt, slipping it back over your head, shimmying into your shorts with hands that shake just a little. the silence is unbearable now, a thick, suffocating thing, and it only gets worse when you clear your throat and ask, barely above a whisper—
“do you want me to leave?”
his answer comes immediately. “yeah.”
you freeze for a second, embarrassment creeping up your spine, then you nod again (you’ve seriously got to stop just nodding) and scurry out of his room and to his front door, yanking it open and slipping out into the hallway. your heart is in your throat, your face burning as you rush across the hall to your own apartment, slamming the door shut behind you before pressing your back against it.
fuck.
fuck, that was so embarrassing.
you spend the night drowning in self-pity, staring at the ceiling as everything replays over and over in your head like a bad movie you can’t turn off.
why didn’t you stop it sooner? why didn’t you shut it down the second he started calling you baby instead of slut? why didn’t you flinch when he pressed his forehead to yours, when his hands stopped gripping and Çstarted holding?
you didn’t just let it happen—you basked in it. soaked it up like a sponge, let it fill you—let him fill you—and now you can’t tell if that was just muscle memory, a latent yet insatiable reaction to being wanted, or if it actually meant something.
fuck, if you weren’t already embarrassed, that would do it.
meanwhile, across the hall, simon doesn’t sprial. doesn’t even wallow in the face of rejection.
he pours himself two fingers of his finest bourbon, sits back on his couch, and sparks up a cig. inhales deep, lets the smoke curl through his lungs before exhaling slow.
he's got a plan.
the next evening, your phone buzzes.
simon: come over. door’s open.
you stare at the message for a long minute, heart thudding, stomach twisting itself into knots. this is it. this is where he tells you it’s over, where he curses you out for being a selfish cunt, for leading him on, for taking all he gave without giving anything back.
and you deserve it.
so you brace yourself, tugging on a light sweater, slipping into your shoes. every step across the hall feels heavier than the last, and by the time you’re standing outside his apartment, you have to take a deep breath before pressing your palm to the door.
you push it open.
instead of anger, instead of harsh words or something hauled at your head, you’re met with the warm, rich scent of something cooking.
what the fuck?
your brows pinch together as you step in deeper, looking around cautiously. “simon?”
no answer, but then you see him—standing at the small table in the center of his apartment, just finishing setting it. two plates, two glasses, candles flickering dimly in the low light.
what the actual fuck?
your stomach drops. maybe he poisoned the food. maybe this is how you’ll die.
“what’s going on?” you ask, wary, eyeing the plates like they might explode.
simon pulls out a chair. just looks at you, waiting.
you hesitate, then slowly pad over and sit. your hands fold in your lap, your throat feels tight.
he lowers himself into the chair across from you, elbows on the table, fingers laced together.
he watches you.
you both eat in silence.
the only sounds are the soft clinks of silverware against plates, the occasional scrape of a chair as one of you shifts. you force out a weak, “this is good,” because it is—really, it is—but also because the silence is suffocating.
simon just grunts. keeps eating.
so you do too. fork to plate, bite after bite. the food is great, but you barely taste it past the tight knot in your throat.
when you're both done, he wordlessly stands, gathering the plates and taking them to the sink. you watch him move—watch the way his muscles ripple under his fitted t-shirt, the way his blond hair is perpetually tousled, the way his face, bare of any mask, is set in quiet concentration as he rinses the dishes.
you don't even realize you're staring until—
thwap.
you flinch as he flicks your forehead, his thumb and middle finger snapping against your skin just hard enough to jolt you back to reality. you blink up at him, startled, as he stands in front of you, hand extended.
you hesitate, then slip your fingers into his.
he pulls you up, and before you can register it, he's on you—his hands firm on your waist, his lips swallowing yours entirely
you squeal at first, but his lips are so soft, so sweet and full of something heavy, something deep.
you melt into him.
and that's just stage one of simon's plan, to woo you.
that night he fucks you so good you can’t even think about leaving his bed, let alone moving. He splits you open on his cock, ravishing you to the nines. he takes his time, makes you feel it, makes sure you can feel every ounce of his devotion each time he makes you cum (6 times in one night, a new record)
by the time he's done, you're ruined. wrecked in the best way possible
when morning comes, you're knocked, body heavy and sore, limbs tangled in his sheets. you don’t even stir when he rolls out of bed, grabs your phone from where you dropped it the night before.
he types out a quick message to your boss
you: sorry, got covid. can’t come in for two weeks.
sent—delivered—read—probably fired, too (you won’t be needing a job with him around, silly)
you shift slightly, murmuring something incoherent, but you don’t wake.
simon smirks to himself, tossing your phone onto the nightstand.
(don’t ask how he knows your passcode)
stage two is integration.
the next time beckons you over to his place, you notice something’s… off.
your favorite coffee beans are sitting next to his cheap instant shit. your shampoo, your conditioner, your body wash—all neatly lined up in his shower. there’s a hoodie you thought the building’s dryer must’ve gobbled up weeks ago, just neatly folded on his dresser. The chapstick he’s tasted on your lips countless times now sits atop his bedside table.
you blink at the sight of it all, brows furrowed. you pick up the chapstick, turning to him with a questioning look.
he doesn’t even try to deny it.
“figured you’d be 'round more often,” he says, completely casual, completely simon about it.
like it’s the most natural thing in the world. like you’ve already signed a lease and are moving in next month (you are, you just don’t know it yet, doll).
you should argue. you should tell him ‘no, we’re not doing this’, but you don’t. instead, you swipe the chapstick over your lips, put it back where you found it, and pretend you don’t feel his eyes on you the whole time.
he smirks to himself, taking your silence for what it is. acceptance.
stage three of his plan? move out!
oh, but not him.
you wake in your bed (for once) to find simon standing in front of your dresser.
your dresser.
he’s holding one of your shirts—some thin, worn-out thing you only sleep in—twisting the fabric between his fingers.
you rub the sleep from your eyes, voice groggy when you ask, “what the hell are you doing?”
he doesn’t even turn around. “doin’ you a favor.”
“a favor,” you repeat, voice flat.
he glances at you over his shoulder. “yeah. consolidating.”
and that’s when you notice—your drawers are open, half-empty, your closet missing key pieces. your things are gone.
panic flares in your chest. you throw the blankets off, stomp over to him, grab the shirt from his hands. "simon. where the fuck is my stuff?"
he shrugs, completely unbothered. "my place."
“your—” you cut yourself off, taking a deep breath, hands clenched into fists.
“figured it’d be easier this way,” he continues, like he’s explaining something obvious. “y'know, since y’spend all your time there anyway.”
you gape at him, dumbfounded. “you stole my shit?”
he tilts his head, considering. “nah,” he says finally. “just moved it.”
“without asking me.”
he steps closer, towering over you, eyes heavy-lidded and knowing.
“would you ‘ave said no?”
you want to say yes. you should say yes.
but the truth is, you don’t know. because when you think about it, when you really think about it—you never liked sleeping alone. never liked waking up to an empty bed.
and simon—your simon—he knows that. knows you better than you know yourself.
so instead of arguing, instead of pushing him away, you let him tip your chin up with two fingers.
“mine. got that, pet?,” he murmurs.
you nod.

John Price
John stands beside you on the passenger side of the car. The car door is open, and all you need to do is slide inside. Instead, you’re arguing with him, insisting that you can get in yourself, and that you don’t need help.
“You just had surgery,” chides John.
“Minor surgery,” you correct.
“It’s still surgery.” John sighs, and then places his hand on your back. “Let me help you.”
“Hands off, sir. You’re not my husband.”
John does not move his hand. “I don’t remember us getting a divorce, love.”
You wave him off and John snorts. “He’ll kick your ass,” you insist. “Punch you right in the nose.”
John’s stern demeanor cracks, dissolving into a wide smile and a soft chuckle. He shakes his head in disbelief. “I’m your bloody husband. You’re stuck with me. Forever.”
“I’m serious,” you say. Turning, you attempt to jab him in the chest with your finger. Everything tilts, and you only hit air.
John sighs, exasperated. “Get in the car, love.”
“No,” you groan, pushing at his chest. You surrender to him, allowing John to help you into the front passenger seat.
“I hope you remember this after the drugs wear off.”
John "Soap" MacTavish
You’ve been out with your friends all evening, and you have no idea what times it is. It’s dark, and you didn’t leave until the bar closed, forcing you to make an exit. Someone called for a car, and you all piled in, dropping each of off one by one.
As you enter the dark bedroom, you kick off your shoes, slightly stumbling to turn on the bedside light. You turn it on, and immediately wince. Vision swimming, you rub at your eyes, and then notice the massive lump in your bed.
“Turn off the bloody light, will you?” mumbles Johnny.
A devious plan forms in your head.
You climb onto the bed, crawling toward him. Noticing, Johnny turns toward you, eyes dreary with sleep.
“What?” he asks just before you flop your entire body onto him.
“Hi,” you whisper.
“Hi,” he deadpans.
You wiggle over him, pressing the tip of your nose against his. “You seeing anyone, handsome?”
Johnny arches an eyebrow. “Did you hit your head or something? I am your husband.”
“Lucky me.”
Johnny blows raspberries. With one good shove, he flips you onto your back on your side of the bed.
“Go to bed. You’re drunk.”
Simon "Ghost" Riley
Your liquor-addled brain tells you to do it.
Across the bar is danger, the kind you want to play with—to sink your teeth into. Why resist temptation when it’s clear that the masked man across the bar can’t seem to take his eyes off you? Every time you glance in his direction, his gaze is focused and intense, daring you to approach him.
Which is exactly what you do.
He follows your every step, even if there is a slight sway in the way you walk. As you approach, he leans back in his chair, legs widening as if in welcome. It’s easy to reach out, to place your hand on his shoulder, to straddle his thighs, and stare into his eyes.
“You’ve been staring at me all night,” you slur. “Plan on going home with anyone?”
“I am,” the masked man replies.
“And who might that be?”
“My wife.”
You turn in his lap, looking around at all the other patrons in the bar. “Don’t see her.”
“Course you don’t,” he chuckles. “Because she’s sitting in my lap.”
You blink. “Is she?”
“You’re my wife,” he whispers.
“I am…aren’t I?”
He shakes his head. “I’m cutting you off.”
Kyle "Gaz" Garrick
The alcohol is an enabler. You shouldn’t have had as many drinks as you did, but this is a party, and you’re not the one driving.
Why not have a bit of fun?
“Hi.”
Kyle arches an eyebrow. “Hi,” he replies, drawing out the greeting in slight confusion.
You cozy up next to him, shoulder brushing against shoulder.
“So,” you begin, head tilting toward him like you’re about to whisper all your secrets. “I’m going to be a bit bold…”
“Go on.”
“But I think you’re cute. Wanted to know if you’re seeing anyone.”
Kyle’s single raised eyebrow becomes two. Theres a long pause, so long that you notice the absence of conversation.
Kyle’s confusion cracks, becoming a wide smile, followed by his adorable, familiar laughter. “You’re taking the piss, love.”
“I’m not joking.”
He laughs harder, clutching his chest like he can’t breathe.
“I’m your husband,” he manages to say between wheezing breaths.
“I know,” you reply. “Just checking to make sure you’re still loyal.”
He waves his hand in the air before him. “You’ve had enough. Give me that.” He plucks your beverage right out of your hands.
“Excuse me,” you protest, but Kyle is already downing it.

☆ PAIRING : Robin Jason Todd x Fem Reader
☆ HEADCANON : When He Have A Puppy Crush Obsession.
☆ NOTES : Teenagers in love. English is not my first language. Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Jason first noticed you during an English Lit discussion when you were debating the themes in Wuthering Heights. Most of the class was half-asleep, but you were animated, speaking with such passion that Jason couldn’t tear his eyes away. He didn’t even care about Heathcliff or Catherine, but if you were this invested, then he’d read the whole damn book twice just to have something to talk to you about. At first, he kept his distance, watching you from afar. You were too kind, too radiant, too good for someone like him. But Jason wasn’t known for his self-restraint. The more he watched you, the more he realized he couldn’t stay away.
Jason started sitting closer to you in class. He’d lean back in his chair, tapping his pen against his desk, waiting for the perfect moment to chime in when you spoke. He wanted your attention, even if it was just a quick glance his way. When you’d drop your pen, Jason would be the first to pick it up, handing it back with a lopsided grin. “Gotta be more careful, sunshine.” The nickname stuck, much to his delight. He quickly learned your schedule. Not in a creepy way (he tells himself), but because he just happened to notice you always stopped by your locker before lunch. He’d time it so he was walking by at the same moment, giving him an excuse to strike up a conversation. Jason’s protective instincts kicked in almost immediately. If anyone so much as looked at you the wrong way, Jason was there, glaring at them until they backed off. He didn’t care if it was some senior jock twice his size—no one messed with you.
One day, you stayed late at school to finish a group project, and Jason nearly lost his mind when he saw you walking home alone after dark. He followed you in the shadows, making sure you got home safely. The next morning, he casually handed you a pocket-sized pepper spray. “For emergencies,” he said, trying to play it cool. He started leaving little things in your locker. A book you mentioned wanting to read, your favorite candy, or a handwritten note that simply said, "Don’t forget to smile today, sunshine."
Jason had a habit of “accidentally” showing up at places he knew you’d be. Whether it was the library, the coffee shop down the street, or even the park where you liked to read, Jason was always “just passing by.” He’d flash you a sheepish grin and sit down, secretly thrilled at the chance to spend more time with you. He hated seeing you talk to other guys, especially when they made you laugh. Jason knew he didn’t have the polished charm of some of the rich kids at Gotham High, but he cared about you in a way no one else could. He’d clench his fists and bite his tongue, reminding himself that you deserved someone better—someone who wouldn’t scare you away with how much they needed you. But then you’d turn to him, smiling so sweetly, and Jason would forget everything else. He’d do anything to keep that smile on your face.
One evening, you stayed late at school again, and this time, someone actually tried to mess with you. Jason, of course, had been waiting nearby, as he always did when you stayed late. He didn’t hesitate to step in, taking down the guy with practiced ease. “Jason?!” you gasped when you saw him. He froze, realizing you’d caught him. “You—you were following me?” you asked, a mix of confusion and something softer in your voice. Jason rubbed the back of his neck, his usual confidence slipping away. “I just... wanted to make sure you were safe,” he muttered. “You don’t know how dangerous this city is. I couldn’t—I can’t let anything happen to you.” Instead of being scared, you surprised him by throwing your arms around him. “Thank you, Jason,” you whispered, and he swore his heart stopped.
From that day on, Jason was even more protective of you. He’d walk you home without an excuse, carry your books without asking, and sit with you at lunch like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Jason wasn’t the type to ask for permission, not when it came to you. He’d always been bold in everything he did—whether it was picking a fight with someone twice his size or throwing himself into danger without a second thought. But when it came to you, he hesitated. How could he ask you out without coming off as desperate? Without you realizing just how much space you occupied in his mind, how your laugh replayed in his head on a loop every night, and how he couldn’t sleep unless he knew you were safe?
It started like any other day. Jason was walking you to class, his bag slung carelessly over his shoulder as he matched your pace. His usual smirk was in place, but inside, his mind was racing. He’d practiced the words over and over in his head. Just ask her. It’s not a big deal. She likes you, right? She has to. You didn’t seem to notice his inner turmoil, chatting about your favorite movie and how you’d been wanting to watch it again. Jason latched onto that.
“Hey, uh... you doing anything this weekend?” he asked, trying to sound casual. He shoved his hands into his pockets, his usual cockiness slipping into nervousness. You tilted your head, a small smile playing on your lips. “Not really. Why?” “Well, I was thinking... maybe we could catch that movie you like? Or, you know, grab some food after. Just us.” Your eyebrows shot up. “Jason Todd, are you asking me out?” His ears turned red. “Maybe. Depends on your answer.” You laughed—a sweet, melodious sound that made his chest tighten. “You’re cute when you’re nervous, you know that?” Jason huffed, trying to regain his composure. “So, is that a yes, or...?” “Of course, it’s a yes,” you said, nudging his shoulder playfully. “I’ve been waiting for you to ask, you know.”
Jason was a bundle of nerves the entire day leading up to your date. He didn’t want to mess this up—not with you. He even went so far as to ask Alfred (secretly, of course) for advice, which earned him a lecture about being respectful and treating you like a lady. When he picked you up that evening, Jason was... different. He’d ditched his usual leather jacket for a nicer shirt, and his hands were tucked nervously into his pockets. But the moment he saw you step out of your house, his nerves vanished. “Wow,” he breathed. “You look... amazing.” You smiled, blushing slightly. “You clean up pretty well yourself, Todd.” He couldn’t stop grinning as he walked you to his bike. “Hold on tight, sunshine,” he teased as he handed you a helmet. “I’ve got you.”
Jason surprised you by actually being a perfect gentleman. He took you to your favorite little diner, the one you’d mentioned in passing weeks ago. He remembered everything you liked—the exact way you liked your burger, your favorite drink, even the little details about how you always added extra ketchup. During the movie, he couldn’t focus on the screen. Not when you were sitting so close, your shoulder brushing his. He was hyper-aware of every little movement you made—the way you laughed at the funny scenes, the way your eyes lit up during your favorite parts. And when you leaned your head against his shoulder halfway through, Jason thought he might actually die from happiness.
As the weeks went on, you started noticing things about Jason. How he always seemed to know where you were, how he’d intercept anyone who tried to bother you before they even got close, how he’d show up with your favorite snacks when you didn’t mention being hungry. It didn’t take long to piece it together. One evening, as you both sat on a rooftop (because Jason insisted the city looked better from up high), you decided to bring it up. “Jason,” you started, looking at him with a soft smile, “you’re really... protective, you know that?” He stiffened. “Is that... bad?” You shook your head, resting your hand on his arm. “No. It’s sweet. I know you just want to keep me safe.” Jason let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. “I just... I can’t lose you,” he admitted, his voice quieter than you’d ever heard it. “You’re the best thing in my life, and the thought of anything happening to you—” “Jason,” you interrupted, squeezing his arm, “you don’t have to worry so much. I’m not going anywhere. Okay?” He turned to look at you, his blue eyes filled with a vulnerability you didn’t expect. “You mean that?” You nodded. “I like having you around. Even if you’re a little... intense sometimes.” His lips twitched into a grin. “You think I’m intense now? You should see what I’d do if anyone actually hurt you.” You laughed, leaning your head against his shoulder. “I think I’ll take your word for it.” Jason wrapped an arm around you, pulling you closer. In that moment, he knew he’d do whatever it took to keep you happy and safe. You were his sunshine, his everything. And now that he had you, he wasn’t letting go. Not ever.

We All Need Joel’s Help .𖥔 ݁ ˖
joel miller x f!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: after ellie embarrasses joel at the winter dance, you help take his mind off of it.
warnings: smut. fluff. angst. unprotected sex (wrap it before you tap it!). use of pet names (sweetheart, honey, my love, darling). praise. age gap (reader is in her 30s, joel is his age in the second season). no mention of y/n. [ 4k ]

You saw Seth's outburst at Ellie and Dina firsthand, and Joel's reaction was immediate — his body tense, fists clenched at his sides. He pushed his body away from the bar he stood at beside you, rushing forward and placing his hands on the older man, the entire town watching Seth fall to the floor from Joel’s forceful shove.
Ellie’s face was frozen in horror, but it was anger that burned through most vividly. She watched as Maria rushed to pull Seth away, then turned her eyes to Joel – the man who had become a father to her – standing there, silently waiting to ask if she was alright.
That’s when everything fell apart.
“I don’t need your fucking help.”
The entire hall fell silent, the weight of Joel’s pain hanging in the air, and he took a step back, his chest tightening with a pain that was sharper than any blade. His eyes locked onto Ellie, but all he found was a hardness in her eyes that he had never seen before. The harsh words hung in the air, and for a moment the world seemed to fade away. It was as if time had frozen, the silence so loud it deafened everyone in the hall. Then everything came crashing back. The hum of electricity, your breathing, the sound of Joel’s boots on the ground as he walked forward and out of the church. Acting on nothing but instinct, you gave Ellie a small, tight-lipped smile as you past her and followed Joel outside.
The sudden cold hit you as you walked outside, the temperature having dropped significantly despite it only being an hour or so since you entered the church. The lights of Jackson were dim compared to the lively glow of the dance. You spotted Joel's tall, broad figure stood by a lamp near the church, one hand running through his hair as his head tilted downwards.
"Joel?” You started, and his attention snapped over to you as you approached, head lifting to meet your gaze.
You heard the quiet sniffle that he tried to hide and watched as he brought his hand up to wipe away a tear. A beat of silence passed as you took a few steps closer, then another. And another. You stopped when you were less than a meter away, the light from the lamp illuminating Joel’s features. His face was weary and gaunt, the years showing themselves on his tired, sad eyes. You wanted to reach out to him… To comfort him…
"You alright?" You heard yourself ask, and the moment the words left your mouth you knew it was a dumb question.
He let out a scoff in response, hand dropping to his side as he moved to lean back against the wall of the building next to the church. He was quiet, his gaze falling to the ground, eyes glossy. You gave him a soft smile, a small one that held both love and understanding. Silence fell once more as you studied Joel’s figure, his shoulders slumped and head lowered in defeat. He looked broken, as if everything was finally catching up to him. And in a way, it probably was.
You knew better than to try and get Joel to talk about how he was feeling. He wasn't one to talk about his emotions, not even with you. Instead, you took in a deep breath and allowed the silence to envelope you both once more. You leaned against the wall beside him, not wanting him to be alone in that moment.
"She hates me."
You turned your head to look at him, hand reaching out to touch his, trying to ground him. "She doesn't. She's just angry because she wanted to handle the situation herself."
"I just wanted to protect her," he said, voice thick and full of emotion. “What that asshole said was out of line.”
“I know, my love.” You reached for his hand and laced your fingers with his, giving it a gentle squeeze. “You did what you thought was right, and no one can fault you for that.”
He still wasn't looking at you, instead staring down at your hand, his thumb gently stroking over your skin as his fingers wrapped around your own. He was silent for a moment as he processed your words.
"But it still hurt her,” he admitted finally, his voice soft yet rough.
You nodded in understanding, your heart felt heavy seeing Joel this way. "I know," you replied gently, “But trust me when I say that she'll come around. She just needs some time to process everything."
Joel said nothing in response, his eyes now having returned to looking at the ground. You could tell he was still beating himself up over the entire situation.
"Come here.”
You let go of his hand and moved to stand in front of him, arms open for him to fall into. He didn’t hesitate, and you felt his head rest against your shoulder as he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you closer. He buried his face into the crook of your neck, instantly feeling the dampness of his tears on your skin. You held him tightly, one hand moving to gently stroke his greying hair as the other rubbed circles across his back.
"It's okay," you whispered, trying to soothe his pain. "It's going to be okay."
You felt him take in a deep, shaky breath as he pulled you even closer, his grip on you tightening. He stayed as he was for a while, silent save for the occasional soft sob or quiet sniffle that escaped him. His weight against you was comforting, and you continued to hold him, providing a safe place for him to let out his pain and frustration.
He shook his head lightly against you, and you heard his voice, muffled by the fabric of your clothes. "I just... I want her to be happy. I miss her."
You nodded, and even though you knew he couldn't see it, he could feel it. "I know, honey. She just needs some time to cool off, that's all.”
There was a moment of silence as Joel held onto you, and you could feel the tremors running through his body as he tried to contain his emotions. You continued to run your hand up and down his back, not saying a word, just allowing him to feel whatever he needed to feel. After several moments, he pulled away slightly and looked at you, his face tear-streaked. Your heart broke seeing him like this, so vulnerable and hurting. So, you leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his temple, right above his scar.
"Let's get you home, yeah?”
He nodded, a final sniffle leaving him before he pulled back from the embrace. You interlocked your fingers with his once again as you turned and began walking together, the snow-dusted dirt crunching beneath your boots.
As you walked through the streets of Jackson, the town was quiet and peaceful, the only sounds coming from the soft crunch of snow beneath your feet and the faint music in the distance. Tall lamps on the sides of the roads gave off a soft, warm glow, and the houses had large porches wrapped around the outer walls. You could see glimpses of the town's residents inside their homes through the windows, warm fires burning in the fireplaces and the low hums of conversation. There was comfort in the silence, in the way your shoulders brushed every so often.
It didn’t take long for the two of you to reach home. When you stepped into the house, it was warm despite having no heat source on for a few hours. You flicked on the nearest lamp, letting the soft orange glow fill the room, and turned to Joel as you shrugged off your jacket. You saw the exhaustion in his features, the deep bags under his eyes and the slump in his shoulders. He shut the door behind the two of you and walked over to the couch, collapsing down onto it with a huff.
"I'm gonna grab something to drink, you want anything?" you asked softly, stepping closer to him.
He shook his head, but just as you were about to turn and head toward the kitchen, you felt a hand grab yours. Joel pulled you around, making you face him. Without saying a word, he tugged you closer until you were standing between his legs. You let out a small noise of surprise but quickly settled, your hip pressed against the edge of the couch. You could see Joel's face clearly now, illuminated by a shaft of moonlight streaming in from the window.
He was watching you closely, eyes roaming your face like he was trying to commit every feature to memory. His grip on your hand tightened, drawing you closer still. His other hand moved to rest on your thigh, thumb rubbing gentle circles into your jeans. You felt butterflies in your stomach as he looked at you, his touch sending electric shocks through your body. You placed a hand on top of his that was resting on your leg, gently tracing your fingertips over his knuckles.
“Thank you, sweetheart,” Joel spoke quietly, his voice gruff but holding so much love. He lifted your hand, bringing it up to his lips and pressing a soft kiss against the back. “I love you.”
It was like a bolt of lightning striking through you at his words. No matter how many times he said it, your heart skipped a beat.
"I love you too," you replied, your voice barely a whisper. You brought your other hand up to cup his cheek, thumb brushing across the scruffy facial hair along his jawline.
His eyes fluttered shut at your touch, and he leaned into your hand, seeking out your touch like a man starved of affection. You couldn’t deny that you enjoyed this side of Joel — the vulnerable, tender side that only came out when he was with you.
“Still can’t believe ya want me,” he mumbled against your hand, his breath sending a shiver down your spine. “Don't know how you put up with me.”
“Always have, always will,” you promised, gently running your fingers through his hair, the silvering strands soft against your touch. “And quite easily, believe it or not.” He cracked an eye open, looking at you like he didn't quite believe you. You smiled softly and cupped his face in your hands. “I love you. That’s not gonna change just because you and El are going through a rough patch.”
Joel let out a small huff at your words, and you saw the corners of his lips pulled up in a slight smile. He leaned into your touch once more, eyes closing as he savored the feeling of your hands on his face.
“She’s pissed off with me,” he said after a moment, his voice barely above a whisper. “Can’t really blame her.” He sighed. “I just... I dunno, feel like I keep messing up with her, ya know?”
“It’ll work out.”
Joel was silent as he looked up at you, his expression softening even more. He lifted a hand to rest against your cheek, his thumb gently caressing your cheek, the calloused skin rough against your own. You leaned into his touch, a sigh escaping you as your eyes fluttered shut for a moment. It felt nice to have these moments of comfort with each other, in the midst of all the chaos that was constantly happening around you.
"I hope so," Joel said after a moment of silence, and you both knew he was talking about more than just his relationship with Ellie.
You opened your eyes to look at him, feeling a little pang in your heart at the pain that was visible on his face. He looked tired, like he had been battling demons on his own for far too long.
"Hey," you said softly, your hand moving to cover his, "You're doing the best you can. You have to give yourself some credit for that."
Joel let out a scoff, his gaze drifting away from your face to look at something in the distance. "Doesn't feel like it."
You could feel the guilt and blame radiating off him, and it pained you to see him like this. You frowned at his words, not liking how he was talking about himself. "Stop that," you said firmly and brought your hand up to his chin, tilting his head to look at you again. "You need to stop being so hard on yourself."
He let out a gruff sound that was somewhere between a scoff and a hum, but he didn't argue. Instead, his thumb brushed over your cheek again, his touch gentle yet firm.
"Sometimes my best doesn't feel like enough, ya know?"
You nodded, understanding the weight of those words all too well. "I know, but it is," you promised him. "You may not see it, but you're doing more than enough." You lifted a hand to gently touch his shoulder, feeling the tension beneath your fingertips. "You're only one person, Joel. You can't save everyone."
His eyes flicked up to meet yours, searching for any sign of a lie or doubt. When he found none, he let out a sigh and leaned his forehead against your chest, his grip on your waist tightening. You could feel the tension leaving his body as he leaned into you. His head rested just above your heart, the steady rhythm of your pulse filling his ears. It was a comforting sound, grounding him in the moment, reminding him that he wasn't alone. And here in your arms, he felt safer than he had in years.
"I just want to protect you all," he mumbled, his voice slightly muffled. "I'm scared of losing you."
Your fingers running gently across his broad shoulders, tracing small patterns as he let his guard down. He was strong and capable, but even the toughest man could break.
"You've already saved so many people," you reminded him, your voice soft. "Including me." You leaned down so your chin rested atop his head. "You're not alone in this, Joel. I'm here for you. Always."
He finally lifted his head, looking up at you from where you were perched on his lap. His eyes were tired but filled with love. He reached up and tucked a strand of hair behind you ear, his thumb gently tracing along your jaw before sliding down to rest on your chin. The corners of his mouth tugged up into a small smile and his eyes were glossy. You could see the raw emotion in them. It was rare that he let himself be this vulnerable, and it only happened when he was with you.
He didn't say anything, his hand coming up to slide up your leg, fingertips leaving trails of heat in their wake. You shivered slightly at his touch, the heat of his hand seeping through your jeans. Your breath hitched in your throat as his fingers slid under your shirt, hand pausing at the spot just above the waistband, his thumb rubbing small circles into the sensitive skin. You felt yourself leaning into his touch, unable to resist the magnetic pull between you. This is what it meant to feel alive. To feel his hands on you, knowing that he was there, that you had each other.
It was a feeling you'd never get tired of.
He was watching you closely, his gaze filled with both heat and hesitation. You felt your heart rate quicken, the intensity of his look coupled with his touch driving you crazy. You knew he was asking a silent question, and with a slight movement of your hips, you gave him an answer.
His breathing hitched in his throat as you shifted on his lap, the movement bringing you even closer together. You felt his grip on your hip tighten, his fingers digging into your flesh ever so slightly. There was a moment of hesitation, a split second where the both of you held your breaths, and then he was pulling you down, crashing his lips against your own. The kiss was heated and hungry, as if he was starving for the taste of you. His tongue immediately sought entrance, and you willingly obliged, your own tongue meeting his in a desperate dance as your hands moved to cradle his face.
The two of you were pressed tightly against each other, and you could feel his body heat seeping through your clothes, the heat from his kiss adding to the flush that was probably evident on your cheeks by now. His hands were everywhere — on your hips, in your hair, slipping beneath your shirt to feel the soft skin of your back. The kiss was frenzied, the desperation in his touch sending your head spinning. You both needed this, needed the connection, the reassurance. He pulled back for a moment, his breath coming out in ragged gasps, but the look he gave you held a clear message — he wasn't done with you yet.
He kissed you again and you let out a soft moan, your fingers tangling in his long, greying hair. The feel of his lips on yours was enough to send you spiraling, the heat coiling deep in your belly. His hands moved back down to your hips, gripping tight as he pulled you flush against him, your body molding against the hard planes of his. You could feel him hardening beneath you, the knowledge sending tendrils of electricity throughout your body.
His hands slowly moved up your sides, calloused fingers skimming your ribcage, causing you to shiver. His touch was both rough and gentle, a contradiction that only served to drive you even crazier. You ground down against him, wanting nothing more than to feel closer to him, every touch and kiss leaving you needing more.
He pulled back momentarily, his gaze roaming over your face, taking in the flushed cheeks, the parted lips, the heavy-lidded eyes that were filled with desire. You began placing a trail of hot, open-mouthed kisses down his neck, nipping at the sensitive skin as you went. The sound of your name slipped from his lips as you nipped at the spot just below his ear.
“God, darlin’," he murmured, voice thick with need. "You're driving me insane."
You pulled back slightly with a small grin. “Yeah?”
His eyes locked with yours, the intensity behind them making your heart skip a beat. "You have any idea what you do to me?"
You ground down on his lap again, biting your bottom lip as a groan left him. “I can feel the effect I have on you.”
His grip on your hips tightened, holding you in place as you rubbed yourself against him, the friction causing a curse to escape his lips. He dropped his head to your shoulder, his breath hot against your skin.
"You're gonna be the death of me, ya know that?" he rasped out, his voice low and filled with want.
“After everything you’ve been through, you’ll end up dying in a funny way — like slipping on a golf course or something.”
He huffed out a laugh against your shoulder, vibrations sending ripples of pleasure through you. He lifted his head, a smirk tugging at his lips. He shifted against you, the action causing his groin to press up into yours, and you felt the hard length of him press against you, even through the layers of clothes.
Your breath hitched in your throat at the feeling, and he let out a soft chuckle. "You're hilarious, ya know that?”
You couldn't help but let out a soft moan, your hips involuntarily bucking against him, seeking that delicious friction. His grip on your hips tightened, his fingers digging into your skin, a gesture that only heightened the desire coursing through you. He shifted again, his grip on your hips tight as he ground up into you, his eyes never leaving your face.
"I have my moments,” you managed to gasp out, your hands going to his shoulders to steady yourself.
He chuckled softly, his gaze flicking down to your flushed face, the desire in his expression nearly pushing you over the edge. "Oh, I know," he murmured, his voice deep and rough. He shifted again, his hips rolling against yours, creating friction that had you biting back a moan.
His fingers moved from your hips up to your waist, the gesture almost reverent, like he was touching something precious. He tugged you closer, his body heat seeping through you even through the thin shirt you were wearing. Your hands slid down from his shoulders, moving to his chest and fingers playing with the buttons of his flannel shirt, a silent request to get his consent to go further.
His eyes flicked down to your hands as they played with the buttons of his shirt, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He gave you a quick nod and you felt his grip on your hip loosen slightly, allowing you to move freely. He leaned back, resting against the couch and watching you with an intense gaze, his eyes dark with lust. You slowly unbuttoned his shirt, the fabric parting to reveal a toned chest beneath, sprinkled with scars and dusted with a light covering of hair. You traced your fingers over his skin, feeling the heat radiating from him, his muscles twitching faintly under your touch. Your eyes flicked up to his face and you saw his gaze was hooded, watching your every move with rapt attention.
He was the perfect blend of strength and snacks, body holding a soft armor of fatherhood.
You pulled back for a moment, breath coming out in short gasps. Joel's eyes were still fixed on you, his breathing just as erratic as he attempted to control his own desires. He could feel the heat radiating off your body, the tension between the two of you at its peak.
Your pause was met with a slight frown from Joel as you pulled back, his hands sliding up your arms, gripping your elbows. "Ya alright there, sweetheart?" he asked, disquiet evident in his voice.
You smiled, giving your man a slow, short nod. Gazing down at him – eyes hungry, heart full – you saw the want mirrored in his face, raw and unspoken. Right then, right there, you were exactly where you belonged.
“Never been better.”
There was a moment of silence, Joel's gaze studying you intently, his hands still holding your elbows. He could sense the sincerity in your words, and it caused a slight smile to pull at the corner of his lip.
His gaze dropped to your hands as you began unbuttoning your own shirt, the action causing his breath to hitch in his throat. The sight of your fingers moving, the movement of the fabric sliding down your shoulders... it was all driving him crazy.
“I’m one lucky son’a bitch,” he muttered to himself, his eyes following your every movement.
You dropped your hands as Joel's replaced yours, working to unbutton your shirt, his fingers deft and precise as they popped open the buttons one by one. His eyes were fixed on your skin, his breathing increasing in pace as more was revealed. He gently pushed the fabric aside, his gaze roaming over the newly exposed skin.
“You’re so beautiful.”
You smiled softly and thanked him, leaning forward to press your lips against his — this time much more soft, despite the urge still being there. He returned the kiss with equal softness, his grip on your elbows loosening as he allowed the moment to settle into something more tender. His hand came up to cup your face, his touch light and almost tentative. The kiss was gentle, a far cry from the heated passion of before, but no less intimate. The feel of his rough-worn fingers against your face a comfort as he deepened the kiss slightly, his tongue brushing against your bottom lip, seeking entrance.
You parted your lips in response, letting him in, your breaths mingling. His kisses were slow and thorough, his touch tender but firm. You could feel the heat building again, but it was different this time — less animalistic and more forbearing. His tongue glided against yours in a slow, lazy dance, as if he was savouring the taste of you. His other hand slid around your waist, pulling you even closer, the heat of his bare skin against yours driving you crazy.
You could feel his body respond instantly to your movements, his grip on your waist tightening as he let out a low groan. His lips left yours, trailing down your chin to the sensitive skin of your neck. His hands slid down to your hips, pulling you forward, grinding himself up into you. His teeth nipped at your pulse point, a desperate moan leaving your lips as you found yourself once again caught in a vehement moment with your lover.
Joel’s hands moved to the waistband of your jeans, struggling to undo them as you continued to move against him. He pulled away for a moment, looking down at where his hands worked to achieve his goal of taking your pants off. He tapped your thigh, a silent signal for you to stand, and – with your help – he managed to successfully pull them down, watching as you kicked them off before settling yourself back on his lap.
Once you were settled, his hands were on you again, impatiently sliding up your thighs, leaving scorching trails in their wake. His eyes were dark with desire, his breath coming in laboured gasps as he looked at you, his fingers digging into your skin.
“Need you,” you mumbled, hands lowering to his belt and pulling at it. You could feel the hardness of him pressing against you as you slid his belt through the loops of his jeans.
“Yeah?”
You nodded desperately, hands moving to undo the buttons of his jeans. You didn’t care if his shirt still hung around his shoulders or if his jeans weren’t entirely off — you just needed him inside you. You were soaked, all because of Joel Miller. There was something about the way his voice sounded when he spoke, so sweet and dominating, that made pleasure burn through you, making you want him even more.
You leaned forward to kiss him, your lips meeting his instantly. He kissed you almost desperately, like he was starving and you were the only thing that could possibly satisfy him. Your hands switched between resting on his chest and shoulders, pushing your underwear to the side as Joel pulled pulled himself from his boxers. He reached down and lined himself up before allowed you to sink down onto him. Your eyebrows furrowed together in pleasure, having him fill you to the brim. No matter how many times Joel fucked you, you would never get over how good he felt.
"Good girl," he murmured, voice rough. "That's my good girl."
"Oh, my god..."
You took a moment to collect yourself before lifting up and sinking back down onto him. He could feel your hands on his shoulders, your nails clawing at his skin, and it only turned him on more. You moaned as you moved, the sounds of your sopping wet pussy filling the room.
“That feel good, sweetheart?" Joel asked, voice strained with how good you felt wrapped around him.
"S-So good," you nodded, eyes closed in pleasure and moans falling freely from your pillowed lips. "So deep."
"Fuck," Joel moaned in response, eyes squeezing shut for a moment. The backs of your thighs hit his as you bounced, and it left you feeling dumb, no thoughts left in your head apart from how pretty Joel looked beneath you. His own lips parted as he reached his hands up, his thumbs brushing over your nipples as he stared as your tits in awe. “Just like that, darlin’, shit-"
He could feel every little gasp, every moan, every whimper you made, and it was driving him crazy. Despite often struggling with reaching an orgasm at his age, he could feel himself getting closer and closer to the edge, and he knew he couldn't hold back for much longer. You leaned down, his face just inches away from yours, and pressed your forehead against his. Joel suddenly slid his hand down your body, his thumb finding your clit and quickly rubbing it. You moaned loudly, nails scratching down his chest and leaving red marks in their wake.
"F-fuck!" you cried, the pleasure consuming you. You sped up, moving harder and rougher. He loved the sound of your voice, the way it changed as he touched you, the way it got higher and more desperate as you got closer.
"That's it," he rasped. "Let me hear how good you feel." He suddenly grabbed your hip, using it as leverage as he started to thrust up into you, his body tensing at the movement.
“Joel-” you whined, one hand moving to the back of his neck. You stared into his brown eyes, seeing nothing but love and desire in them. He knew you were close, could feel it in the way you moved, and he felt his own body grow taut in response.
His name on your lips sent a shiver down his spine, and he let out a soft moan, his grip on your hips tightening just a fraction. He pushed himself against you, his chest rumbling beneath your hand.
"Fuck, sweetheart," he murmured, his lips grazing against your jawline. His lips began to trail kisses down your neck, his kisses open mouthed and hot. His beard scratched against your skin, causing a moan to leave you at the feeling. “Doing such a good job for me.”
“Fuck,” you cried out, tears welling in your eyes as you looked down at him. “Y’look so good, Joel– Oh my god.” Another moan left you. “Want you to cum so deep inside me.”
Joel let out a low grown, his eyes dark with desire as he looked up at you. "Sweetheart, you're killin' me here." He pressed his face into your neck, hot breath against your skin, his fingers digging even further into your thighs in a vice grip.
“Need it, Joel — please.” He nodded against your shoulder, his eyes squeezed shut as his arms wrapped around your wait, holding you to him. His thrusts sped up, a clapping sound filling the air around you as his breathing became more laborious. “‘m gonna cum-!”
You pretty much screamed his name as you did, legs shaking around his hips with your arms hugging his head to your chest. He felt you tighten around him, felt your nails digging into his skin, and he couldn't hold back anymore.
"That’s it, sweetheart,” Joel mumbled, running purely on primal instincts now. Your tits bounced as he continued to fuck himself deeper into you. “Gonna- Fuck. Gonna cum, darlin’.”
“Inside me, cum inside me,” you pleaded, pressing kisses up and down his neck. “Please.”
Joel grabbed ahold of your hips, grinding his hips deep into yours a few more times before coming to a stop. He came hard, his body tensing up as he buried his face into your neck, his breath coming out in ragged gasps as he rode out his orgasm. You felt his cum fill you up, letting out a hum of content. He was breathing heavily, his body still shaking from the intensity of his release, and he couldn't remember ever feeling this good, this wrecked, this satisfied.
“Did I ever tell you that you’re really sexy when you’re angry and protective?”

a/n: the beginning is loosely based of S4 with rafe and sofia! I’m kinda obsessed with rafe being needy behind close doors 🥵I hope you guys enjoy!
you couldn’t stop replaying his words over and over again in your head. each syllable hit harder, cutting deeper than the last. always running her mouth? what. just a hookup, id never date a pogue.
you stood there, behind the slightly ajar door, heart pounding so loudly you were sure it could be heard. but rafe didn’t notice—he was too busy tearing you down with topper, speaking like you were nothing more than a nuisance in his life. he’d never know how those words would haunt you, how the trust you had in him shattered like glass.
your eyes burned with unshed tears, the sharp sting of betrayal settling into the pit of your stomach. but there was something else bubbling just beneath the surface—rage. not the hot, fiery kind that comes and goes. no, this was colder, more calculated. the type that stews, planning its revenge.
your fingers itched to grab your things and leave, but not without making sure he understood who held the power in this relationship. you weren’t going to walk away defeated, not when you could leave him begging for mercy.
so, instead of running, you turned, heart hardening with each step as you walked back into the room, your hands trembling slightly as you pulled out a suitcase from under the bed.
if he thought he could treat you like this, he was about to learn how wrong he was. you weren’t some weak girl who would let this slide. no, rafe was about to see a side of you he never had before.
the door clicked shut behind him, and for a moment, you could hear his confused muttering. "yo, topper, i’ll catch you later."
rafe’s voice rang through the hallway, much closer now, but still carrying the same arrogant tone. you ignored him, hands moving swiftly as you tossed your clothes into the bag, each item thrown more aggressively than the last.
when rafe finally stepped into the room, his eyes immediately fell on you, and panic flickered in his expression. "what the hell are you doing?"
his voice wavered as he took in the scene—your half-packed bag, the angry flush on your cheeks, the tight set of your jaw.
"what does it look like?" you shot back, barely sparing him a glance as you continued packing.
he hesitated, taking a step closer to you, but the sight of your seething rage stopped him in his tracks. "hey, let’s just—let’s talk about this, okay?"
you laughed bitterly, slamming the suitcase shut before finally turning to face him. "oh, now you want to talk?" you snapped, the sharp edge in your voice slicing through the air between you. "funny, because earlier, it seemed like you had plenty to say."
his face paled as realization dawned on him. you watched as his lips parted, searching for words but finding none. for the first time in a long time, rafe cameron was speechless, guilt flooding his features.
"i didn’t—" he started, but you cut him off.
"save it," you hissed, stepping closer to him now, your eyes blazing. "i heard everything, rafe. every. single. word."
rafe’s breath hitched as the full weight of your words crashed down on him. his eyes widened in panic, and he took another shaky step toward you, reaching out as if to touch you, to ground himself in this spiraling nightmare. "i didn’t mean it, baby. i swear, i wasn’t thinking—i was just venting—"
"venting?" you scoffed, stepping back from his touch. "do i look like someone you just 'vent' about, rafe? am i just some girl you get to shit on when i’m not around?" your voice cracked slightly, the hurt bubbling beneath your fury slipping through the cracks.
rafe’s hands trembled as he dropped them to his sides, a strangled sound escaping his throat as he shook his head. "no, no—please, you know i didn’t mean any of that. i was just—" his voice broke, and you watched as his composure started to crumble, tears pooling in his eyes. "i was just talking, okay? i’m sorry, i didn’t mean it. you have to believe me."
but you weren’t about to let him off the hook that easily. your eyes darkened as you stepped even closer to him, your voice dropping to a dangerously low whisper. "if you’re really sorry, rafe, you’re going to have to prove it."
a flicker of hope sparked in his eyes, and he nodded eagerly, desperate to fix what he’d broken. "anything," he breathed, his voice shaky. "i’ll do anything."
you stared him down, watching as he swallowed hard, his adam’s apple bobbing with nervous anticipation. there was no trace of the cocky, confident rafe now. instead, he was a trembling mess, willing to do whatever it took to keep you from walking out that door.
you grabbed your phone from the dresser, starting the recording and letting the soft beep fill the silence. rafe’s eyes widened as he watched you, confusion and curiosity mixing with the fear in his gaze.
"get on your knees," you ordered, your voice firm, leaving no room for hesitation.
rafe blinked, momentarily stunned by the command, but the second your eyes met his, cold and unwavering, he obeyed. he dropped to his knees before you, looking up with wide, tear-filled eyes. the vulnerability radiating off him was palpable, his breath shaky as he knelt before you, completely at your mercy.
"you don’t get to speak," you warned, holding the phone steady as you circled him slowly, capturing his wide eyes, his trembling hands. "you only get to listen and do what i say."
he nodded quickly, his throat tight with emotion as he blinked away the tears threatening to spill down his cheeks.
you positioned yourself on the bed, spreading your legs slightly, and gestured for him to come closer. "you know what to do," you said, your tone soft but commanding.
without a moment’s hesitation, rafe shuffled forward on his knees, his eyes glued to your thighs as he leaned in, his lips pressing soft, tentative kisses along your skin. his breath was hot and shaky, the desperation in every touch making your pulse quicken.
"good boy," you murmured, threading your fingers through his hair and pulling him closer, guiding his mouth exactly where you wanted it. "now, show me how sorry you are."
rafe wasted no time, his tongue flicking against you with a desperation that sent shivers down your spine. his hands gripped your thighs, holding on for dear life as he worked to prove himself, his movements frantic, eager to please.
your head tipped back slightly as a soft sigh escaped your lips, but you quickly regained control, focusing on the phone’s camera in your hand. you adjusted the angle, making sure you captured every second of rafe’s unraveling—his lips swollen and red from the effort, his face flushed, sweat beading on his forehead.
"look at you," you cooed softly, your free hand caressing his cheek. "you’re such a mess for me, aren’t you?"
rafe whimpered in response, the vibrations from his soft sobs sending waves of pleasure through you. his eyes fluttered shut as he pressed his face harder against you, the tears finally spilling over and streaming down his cheeks.
you could feel the shift in him—the way his body trembled beneath your touch, the way his breaths came in ragged, uneven gasps. he was breaking, right in front of you, and the sight sent a surge of power through your veins.
"don’t stop," you whispered, your fingers tugging on his hair as his pace quickened, his tongue working furiously. "not until i say so."
rafe let out a choked sob, his tears soaking into your skin as he continued, his movements growing sloppier, more desperate. you glanced down at him, the sight of his tear-streaked face and swollen lips sending a rush of heat through you.
"you’re mine," you whispered, your voice dripping with possession as you tilted his face up slightly, capturing the tear that rolled down his cheek with your thumb. "and you’ll never forget it."
rafe’s body shuddered at your words, a strangled moan escaping his lips as he clung to you, his breath coming in short, shallow gasps. another tear slipped down his face, and you leaned down, your lips brushing against his cheek, kissing the tear away.
you recorded it all, making sure you caught the exact moment rafe broke for you, his body trembling beneath your touch as he whimpered your name.
"please," he gasped, his voice barely above a whisper. "i’m yours. i’ll never leave you. i love you. please…don’t leave me."
his words were slurred, thick with emotion, and you smiled softly, running your fingers through his hair in a soothing motion.
"good boy," you whispered, pressing one last kiss to his temple as his body finally collapsed against you, completely spent and vulnerable.
slowly, you stopped recording. rafe barely noticed, his head resting against your thigh, still trying to steady his breathing. his tear-streaked face was a picture of surrender.
you stood up, gently pushing him off you, and his body slumped against the mattress, too weak to even protest. you didn’t say a word as you picked up your phone, your fingers tapping with practiced precision.
rafe watched through bleary eyes, his chest still rising and falling with uneven breaths, the reality of the situation not quite sinking in yet.
the video—the raw, intimate recording of rafe at his most vulnerable—was right there, in your hand. the smirk playing at your lips deepened as you attached it to a group chat, the names of topper, kelce, and several other friends flashing across the screen. rafe’s inner circle, the same ones he was so eager to talk big around. they’d all see this.
and then, for the final touch. your fingers hovered over the keyboard for just a moment before typing: looks like the pogue got your boy.
the message was delivered, the little ‘sent’ confirmation making your heart race with satisfaction. the power was now entirely in your hands, and you relished the silence that followed, the calm before the inevitable storm.
rafe blinked, finally realizing what had happened as he noticed the shift in your demeanor. “w-what did you do?” his voice was small, trembling with fear as his eyes darted from your phone to your face, dread sinking in fast.
you leaned down, brushing a lock of hair out of his face with surprising gentleness, and a sweet peck on his lips. “just reminding you who really holds the power here, rafe,” you whispered softly, your voice laced with a wicked edge. “you thought you could talk shit about me behind my back? guess again.”
rafe’s eyes widened as he tried to sit up, his body weak and uncoordinated. “no, no, no—what did you send? please, baby, please!” he pleaded, his voice cracking with desperation.
you straightened up, staring down at him, your smile never faltering. “i sent a little reminder to all your friends. they’ll see it soon enough.”
he scrambled to reach for his phone, but it was too late. his friends were already watching the video, seeing him like they’d never seen him before—broken, crying, at your feet, worshiping you. and with that message—looks like the pogue got your boy—they’d know he wasn’t the powerful rafe cameron anymore. not with you around.
rafe’s breath hitched, panic surging through his veins as his phone buzzed incessantly on the bedside table. “no,” he whimpered, tears spilling over again, pure terror flashing in his eyes as he looked up at you, utterly helpless, still with a needy gaze.
you bent down one last time, tilting his chin up so he could meet your gaze, your thumb gently brushing against his swollen lips. “next time you even think about talking behind my back,” you whispered, “remember this moment. because there’s more where that came from.”
with that, you walked away, leaving rafe alone in the room, his phone lighting up with messages from his friends, the weight of his humiliation crushing him.
you didn’t even glance back as the door clicked shut behind you, a satisfied smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
you owned him now. completely.

---------------------------------------------------
Your fingers grip Jungkook’s sleeve, barely able to contain your excitement as you glance out the plane window. Blue. Endless blue. The vast stretch of the sea sparkles below, tiny white houses dotting the cliffs in the distance.
“Jungkook,” you whisper, voice full of wonder. “Look at that.”
He chuckles, his gaze soft and amused, “Baby, we’re still on the plane.”
“I know,” you sigh dramatically, turning back to him. “But still. Greece! Our first trip together! Just you and me for seven whole days.”
Jungkook smirks, teasing, “What if I'm gonna get sick of you?”
You scoff, nudging his shoulder. “You’re stuck with me now, Jeon.”
He exhales, grinning like he wouldn’t have it any other way. The past four years had been beautiful, but between work schedules, deadlines, and life, you barely got time to just be together.
But this time? it’s just you and him. Jungkook hums, fingers lazily tracing circles over your thigh. “I think I could get used to this.”
------------------ Day 1
The moment you step inside, your eyes take in the breathtaking suite. White-washed walls, soft linen curtains swaying from the sea breeze, a private infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Jungkook watches you, arms crossed, fondness written all over his face.
“This is so nice,” you gush, spinning to face him. “I don’t think I’ll ever wanna leave.”
Jungkook sets the luggage down, smirking. “Well, we have a week.”
Your smile grows. Something in your chest feels so warm. You turn to him, eyes gleaming. “What should we do first?”
Jungkook steps closer, voice low and playful. “Hmm. I can think of a few things.”
You shove his chest, laughing, “Yah Jeon, behave.” He chuckles, arms wrapping lazily around your waist, pulling you in. “No promises, baby.”
----
You practically bounce on your feet as you slip on your sandals, the soft sunlight spilling through the sheer curtains of your hotel room. “Okay, okay, I’m ready!” you chirp, spinning to face Jungkook, who is still leaning against the doorframe, watching you with pure amusement.
His arms are crossed, a small smirk playing at his lips. “Are you sure? Because you’ve been ‘ready’ for the last fifteen minutes.”
You roll your eyes, grabbing your bag. “I am! Let’s goo”
Jungkook doesn’t move. Instead, he reaches out, grabbing your wrist and pulling you into him, his nose brushing against yours.
His voice drops, teasing. “You’re really just trusting me with everything, huh?”
You nod immediately. “Of course. You’re the planner, I’m just here to have fun.” Jungkook exhales a quiet laugh, his fingers trailing lazily up your arm.
He leans in, pressing a slow, lingering kiss against your lips. It’s warm. Sweet. Dangerously distracting.
You blink up at him, refusing to fall for it. “Jeon Jungkook, if you don’t take me outside in the next ten seconds, I’m leaving you here.”
He laughs—full, rich, and so effortlessly attractive—before wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you into him.
“Alright, alright,” dropping a quick kiss to your temple. “Let’s go.”
And with his fingers laced through yours, he leads you out—the two of you finally stepping into your first day in Greece.
The scent of fresh-baked bread, sweet honey pastries filling the air as you and Jungkook wander through the bustling market. Your fingers brush against the beautifully painted souvenirs, woven baskets, your eyes wide with excitement.
“Jungkook, look at these!” you gasp, holding up a tiny, hand-carved olive wood frog.
He chuckles, watching you with pure amusement. “You don’t even like frogs.”
You scowl. “Yeah, but look at his little face.”
Jungkook shakes his head, ruffling your hair before grabbing the frog figurine and paying for it without a second thought.
You blink. “I wasn’t actually gonna—”
“Too late,” he smirks, handing it to you. “Now it’s yours.”
Before you can respond, the scent of something sweet and buttery hits your nose, making you immediately turn toward a food stall.
You grin. “We have to try those.”
The vendor hands over a small plate, and before you can even grab a piece, Jungkook picks one up and holds it to your lips.
Your eyes narrow. “You’re feeding me now?”
“Open.”
You roll your eyes but let him feed you, the sweet layers melting on your tongue. A small hum of satisfaction escapes you before you glance at Jungkook.
“Good, huh?” he smirks.
Instead of answering, you take another piece, holding it up like you’re about to feed him.
Jungkook smirks, leaning in. “See? You like it when I—”
But before he can finish, you smirk and pop the piece into your own mouth instead. You burst out laughing, wiping a crumb from your lip. “Tastes good.”
Jungkook gapes at you, half-glaring, half-amused. “You little—”
Before he can finish, you grab his wrist and drag him toward the next stall, giggling.
“We have so much more to eat,” you sing-song.
Jungkook lets you pull him away, shaking his head with amusement.
The market fades behind you as you and Jungkook wander through the winding streets, hand in hand.
The air is warm, salt-kissed from the ocean breeze, and the soft sound of distant waves crashes below the cliffs. White-washed buildings, blue domes line the path, vibrant bougainvillea flowers spilling over terraces.
Jungkook squeezes your hand lightly. “Still trusting my planning skills?”
You grin. “So far, you’re doing great, boyfriend.”
He chuckles, his dimple peeking out, and just when you turn to admire the view—Click.
You blink. “Did you just take my picture?”
Jungkook doesn’t even try to hide it. He’s holding up his phone, looking way too pleased with himself.
“Yup.”
You narrow your eyes, stepping closer. “Lemme see.”
“Nope.” He smirks, slipping the phone into his pocket.
You gasp. “Jungkook!”
He laughs, stepping back just as you lunge for his phone.
“Oh, baby, don’t even try,” he teases, holding it high above his head, his other hand wrapping around your waist.
You huff, glaring up at him. “What if I looked bad?”
Jungkook stands confident. So annoyingly sure of himself.
“You looked perfect.”He says it so easily, like a fact, like it’s the simplest thing in the world. For a second, you forget what you were even mad about.
Jungkook grins, clearly noticing your reaction. “What? No comeback?”
You snap out of it and quickly grab your phone, flipping the camera. “Okay, if you’re gonna take pictures of me, I’m getting yours too.”
Jungkook doesn’t protest as you start clicking away—a mix of stolen shots and silly ones.
“Okay, now pose,” you instruct, biting your lip to stop your smile.
Jungkook scoffs but obeys, shoving his hands into his pockets, tilting his head slightly, looking effortlessly model-like.
You pause. “That’s unfair.”
“What?”
“You just naturally look good in every picture.”
He laughs, stepping closer. “Says you?”
Before you can argue, he pulls you in, flipping the camera to selfie mode. “Let’s take some together,” he murmurs.
And just like that, you spend the next ten minutes giggling, making faces, taking videos. Jungkook kisses your cheek in one, in another, he makes you laugh so hard your eyes disappear.
The pictures—some blurry, some too close, some candid. but when you look at them later, you realize they’re perfect in every way that matters.

The sun is lower in the sky now, everything's in warm shades of gold as you and Jungkook walk along the soft, white sand. Your sandals dangle from your fingers, the ocean breeze cooling your skin.
Jungkook is beside you, his hand lazily intertwined with yours, his other tucked into his pocket as he watches the tide roll in.
“Okay,” you say, breaking the comfortable silence. “This might be the prettiest place I’ve ever seen.”
Jungkook hums, glancing at you instead of the view. “Yeah. It really is.”
You turn to look at him—only to find him already looking at you.
Before you can overthink it, something catches your eye—a small wooden stall set up just a little ahead, tucked beneath the shade of a few palm trees.
“What’s that?” You tug on Jungkook’s hand, pulling him toward it.
The stall is lined with handmade jewelry, delicate silver and gold pieces glinting in the fading sunlight. Small sea-glass pendants, braided anklets, thin rings on display.
“Ohh, these are cute,” you murmur, running your fingers over the bands.
Jungkook watches as you casually slip one onto your finger, admiring how it looks before turning to him with a grin.
“Should we get matching ones?” you joke, wiggling your fingers.
Jungkook raises an eyebrow. “Matching rings?”
“Yeah, why not?” you tease. “It’ll be like a little vacation memory.”
Jungkook hums, studying the rings for a moment before wordlessly picking one up. Without hesitation, he takes your hand, slipping it onto your finger himself.
Your breath catches. You glance at him, expecting a smirk, some teasing remark—but he’s quiet. Focused.
The ring fits perfectly.
Jungkook’s gaze flickers up to meet yours, and for a second, neither of you say anything.
“Guess we’re married now,” he quips, breaking the silence with a cheeky grin.
You snort, shoving his shoulder. “You’re so dumb.”
But just as you’re about to make another joke, you pause. because Jungkook is still looking at the rings.
And before you can ask, he casually grabs another one—the exact same design—and slips it onto his own finger.
He lifts his hand beside yours, comparing them. “Now we match,” he hums, completely unbothered, making your heart stumble.
----
You collapse onto the bed, sighing dramatically.
Jungkook chuckles, setting his phone down before joining you, his body warm and solid beside yours.
Jungkook lifts his hand, wiggling his fingers, the ring glinting under the dim lights.
“So,” he muses, voice low and playful. “How does it feel to be my wife for seven days?"
You snort, rolling over to face him. “Delusional.”
Jungkook laughs, eyes crinkling, before pulling you into his chest. “You love it.”
You hum, pressing your cheek against his shoulder. “Maybe.”
His hand finds yours, fingers absentmindedly tracing over the band on your finger.
Neither of you take the rings off.
Neither of you even think about it.
------------------- Day 2
The warm afternoon sun bathes the streets as you and Jungkook browse a small outdoor market. Small shops, displays filled with handcrafted goods and souvenirs.
You stop at a small stall, admiring intricately painted ceramic plates. An older woman, the vendor, smiles at you.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” she says, her accent thick with warmth.
You nod enthusiastically. “Yes! My husband and I are visiting for the first time.”
Jungkook chokes on his water.
You hear him cough violently beside you, his hand gripping the bottle like it betrayed him.
The vendor laughs. “Ah, newlyweds?”
“Oh, yes,” you continue smoothly, holding Jungkook’s arm. “We’re having the best time. He planned everything so perfectly.”
You feel him staring at you—his entire existence malfunctioning in real-time.
The woman smiles warmly at Jungkook. “A good husband always takes care of his wife.”
Jungkook clears his throat.
“Oh—uh, yeah,” he mutters. “That’s… me.”
You beam, squeezing his arm. “He’s really amazing. Very thoughtful.”
Jungkook’s ears turn pink.
Once the woman turns away to wrap up your purchase, he leans down, voice low.
“Do you hear yourself?” he mutters.
You grin, still holding onto his arm “What? I’m just staying in character. You said we're married soo...we'll be a happy married couple throughout this trip.”
Jungkook exhales sharply, shaking his head but smiling.
“Oh my god.”
----
Jungkook immediately drops onto the bed, groaning as he stretches his arms above his head.
You plop down beside him, nudging his side. “Tired, husband?”
He groans louder, covering his face with his hands. “If you call me that one more time…”
You grin, rolling onto your stomach to face him. “What? That’s what you are.”
Jungkook peeks at you through his fingers, eyes narrowing. “You’re having too much fun with this.”
You hum, twisting your ring on your finger absentmindedly. “You should too. I mean, you’re already wearing the ring. You might as well act the part.”
Jungkook lifts his hand, inspecting the matching band on his finger. He’s silent for a moment, before—
“I should start calling you ‘wifey’ then, huh?”
Your eyes snap to his face, and—yup. He’s smirking.
“Don't you dare,” you mutter, sitting up immediately.
Jungkook grins wider, propping himself up on his elbows. “Wifey, can you get me some water?”
“I will pour it on your face.”
He laughs, absolutely loving this. “Wifey, should we get couple bathrobes too?”
You grab a pillow and smack him with it.
Jungkook wheezes, rolling away from your attack before bolting up from the bed.
“Okay, okay! I’m going for a swim,” he calls out, grabbing a towel.
You glare at him, crossing your arms. “You’re banned from speaking for the next hour.”
Jungkook grins. “That’s okay.”
With zero shame, he grabs the hem of his shirt and pulls it over his head in one smooth motion, revealing every defined muscle and tattoo.
Jungkook walks out to the pool—leaving you sitting there, absolutely speechless.
----
The water is cool against your skin, the evening air warm, as you float lazily in the pool. The view of the twinkling lights stretches out beyond the infinity edge.
Jungkook is across from you, leaning against the pool’s edge, his arms resting on the surface, watching you with that look.
The same one from earlier. like he’s amused. Maybe a little dangerous.
You try to ignore it, focusing on the soft ripples in the water.
A small wave splashes against your stomach. Your eyes snap up. Jungkook is still there, expression unreadable. But his fingers, barely submerged, are moving.
You narrow your eyes splashing a wave back without hesitation.
Jungkook gasps, dramatically wiping his face. “Oh, you wanna play?”
Before you can react, he swiftly moves, strong, closing the space between you in seconds.
Your breath catches as his hands find your waist, pulling you against him in the water.
“You’re really pushing your luck, wifey,” he murmurs, voice low, teasing.
Your hands find his shoulders, fingers pressing into firm, wet skin. “And what are you gonna do about it, husband?”
Jungkook grins, kissing you.
The water ripples around you as he pulls you even closer, one hand firm on your hip, the other tracing up your spine. His lips move slow, consuming, his breath mixing with yours.
You let out a small gasp, fingers curling in his hair as he deepens the kiss, his tongue teasing against yours, making you feel lightheaded.
He lifts you. Just enough for your legs to wrap around his waist, water dripping between you as his lips trail down your throat.
Your nails dig into his shoulders, heat pooling low, desire crashing into you like the waves beyond.
“Jungkook—”
“Shh,” he murmurs, voice rough, pressed against your skin. “Let me take care of my wife.”
-------------------- Day 3
The morning light filters softly through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. You stir slightly, but before you can move, a strong arm tightens around your waist.
A deep grumble vibrates against your back. “Where are you going?”
You smile sleepily. “Nowhere.”
Jungkook nuzzles into your neck, his voice raspy with sleep. “Good. Stay.”
His fingers trace lazy patterns on your bare skin, warm, possessive. You hum, relaxing into his touch, “Why are you so tired?
Jungkook grunts. “Because my wife wore me out last night.”
Your face heats instantly. “Oh my god—”
He chuckles, pressing lazy kisses against your shoulder. “Mmm. You liked it.”
You turn to glare at him, but he’s already smirking.
“You’re annoying.”
“And you love it,” he murmurs, pulling you closer, his lips brushing your temple.
You pretend to protest, but honestly?
You could stay like this forever.
-------
The climb isn’t too long, but the slight incline has you huffing just a little.
“Jungkook, are we almost there?” you ask, pushing back a strand of hair as the warm breeze kisses your skin.
Jungkook, walking ahead effortlessly, doesn’t even look winded. He glances back at you with a smirk. “Tired already, wife?”
You narrow your eyes. “You dragged me up here. I should’ve just—”
You stop mid-sentence, sighing dramatically. Jungkook chuckles. Without another word, he crouches down in front of you, patting his back.
You blink. “What are you doing?”
He tilts his head. “What does it look like? Get on.”
Your lips twitch. “Are you sure? I’m not exactly—”
Jungkook turns slightly, raising a brow. “Did I stutter?”
You giggle, placing your hands on his shoulders before hopping onto his back, wrapping your arms around his neck.
Jungkook adjusts his grip on your thighs, lifting you with ease.
And just like that—he carries you up the trail like you weigh nothing.
You press your cheek against his, grinning. “You’re really strong, huh?”
Jungkook hums. “You’re really lucky, huh?”
Laughing, you pepper soft kisses along his jaw, his cheek, his temple.
Jungkook exhales sharply. “Y/n.”
You blink innocently. “What?”
He grins, shaking his head. “You’re distracting me.”
You laugh against his skin. “What, can’t handle a few kisses?”
Jungkook’s grip on you tightens slightly, his voice dropping just a little lower.
“Keep testing me, wifey.”
You don’t get a chance to respond—because before you know it, you’ve reached the top.
And when Jungkook finally sets you down, he doesn’t let go immediately.
Instead, he lifts his phone, angling the camera before pulling you close against his side.
“Say wifeyyy.”
You burst out laughing, shaking your head. “You’re ridiculous.”
You still say it. and when you peek at the screen—the view behind you is breathtaking. But the way Jungkook is looking at you in the frame?
His gaze is soft, lingering—something deep. Like he’s seeing something even more beautiful than the world around him.
---------------------- Day 4
Jungkook walks beside you, hands in his pockets, sunglasses on, looking effortlessly cool—until you drag him straight into a clothing store.
“You’re making me shop?” he groans.
You grin, already browsing. “Of course.”
Jungkook exhales, resigned. “Fine. But if I’m suffering, I get to rate your choices.”
And just like that, he ends up sitting on one of those plush chairs outside the fitting room, watching you like this is some kind of mission. You try on a few outfits, twirling in front of him.
Jungkook’s commentary is pure chaos.
“Too frilly.” “Too serious.”
“That one makes you look like a cute little menace—get it.”
You laugh, shaking your head. Eventually, you pick out two dresses, and a jacket for your boyfriend.
No.
Husband.
At the counter, you pull out your card, ready to pay—only for Jungkook to casually slide his in before you can react.
“Jungkook—”
“Got it.” He says it so effortlessly, like it’s nothing.
You stare at him. “I was paying.”
Jungkook shrugs, grabbing the bags. “Not when I’m here.”
You open your mouth to protest, but before you can—
The cashier smiles warmly. “You have a very thoughtful boyfriend.”
“Oh, he’s not my boyfriend.”
The cashier’s eyes widen slightly. “Oh, I’m so sorry—”
You smile sweetly. “He’s my husband.”
The cashier relaxes, “Ohh! You two make a lovely couple.”
You squeeze Jungkook’s arm, pressing close. “Thank you! He’s the sweetest hubby, really.”
Jungkook just stands there. Blinking.
The cashier laughs. “You’re a lucky woman.”
You beam, looking up at Jungkook. “I know.”
The moment you step outside, he leans down, murmuring lowly.
“You did that on purpose.”
You grin. “And?”
Jungkook shakes his head, running a hand through his hair.
Your arms are full of shopping bags, and Jungkook is carrying even more.
“You have a problem,” he groans, adjusting the bags on his arms.
You grin, unfazed. “Correction: we have a problem.”
Jungkook exhales dramatically. “I need a refund on this marriage.”
You gasp, clutching your chest. “How dare you? After all we’ve been through?”
Jungkook rolls his eyes, but his lips twitch. “Come on, let’s find food before you convince me to adopt a souvenir shop.”
----
The night market buzzes with life—Fairy lights and lanterns glow overhead, casting a golden hue as soft music drifts through the lively streets.
You and Jungkook wander through the crowd, sharing bites of food, laughing as he tries to steal yours.
You pause by a musician playing a soft acoustic song, his voice melting into the warm night.
You turn to Jungkook immediately.
His eyes narrow. “No.”
You bat your lashes, pouting. “Please?”
“Absolutely not.”
“Jungkook,” you whine, nudging him relentlessly.
“No.”
Puppy eyes.
Jungkook groans, running a hand down his face. “Oh my god, stop looking at me like that.”
He swears under his breath before finally stepping forward. “You owe me,” he mutters.
The musician grins, strumming the guitar as Jungkook casually leans in and starts singing.
His voice melts into the night, smooth and effortless, blending perfectly with the melody. Conversations quiet, heads turn, people pause to listen.
You watch in awe, your heart tripping over itself.
Jungkook, who claimed he didn’t want to sing, looks completely in his element.
By the time the song ends, the small crowd cheers and claps—and Jungkook glances at you, shaking his head with a knowing smirk.
“You’re impossible,” he mutters, but he’s smiling.
You beam, grabbing his hand. “And you’re amazing.”
Jungkook lets you pull him away, fingers intertwined, the warmth of the night wrapping around you both.
------------------- Day 5
The small cooking studio is bright and welcoming, filled with the scent of fresh, warm bread.
Jungkook snickers as you struggle with your apron. “Are you already losing?”
You glare. “Shut up.”
He grins, effortlessly tying his own. “You sure you don’t want to just let me cook?”
“Nope,” you're determined.
Jungkook just laughs, clearly amused.
The class begins, and predictably— you’re a disaster.
Your dough refuses to knead properly, your vegetables are questionably chopped.
Jungkook, of course, is thriving.
“I can’t believe I’m married to this,” he sighs dramatically, shaking his head.
You elbow him. “EXCUSE ME?”
He smirks, throwing an arm around your shoulders. “Don’t worry, wifey. I’ll make sure we don’t starve.”
You roll your eyes, but your stomach flips a little at the way he says it.
Midway through the class, Jungkook’s phone vibrates.
“Work,” he mutters, frowning. “I’ll be quick. Don’t burn the place down.”
You wave him off. “Go, go.”
With Jungkook distracted, Jay—the instructor—steps over your station to help.
“How’s it going over here?”
You laugh sheepishly, “Terrible. I think I’ve offended the cooking gods.”
Jay laughs. “You’re not that bad.”
You raise an eyebrow.
“Okay, yeah, this is pretty bad,” he grins.
“Try using less force,” he suggests, guiding your hands gently.
You try again, still failing miserably.
“Okay, maybe a little more force than that.”
You groan in frustration, but it only makes him grin.
“At least you’re enjoying yourself,” he says.
You laugh, shaking your head.
Jungkook returns just in time to see you laughing easily, comfortably—with the instructor.
He steps back beside you, sliding an arm around your waist effortlessly.
“You good, sweetheart?” he asks.
You blink up at him. Sweetheart?
Jay nods. “We were just fixing the dough.”
Jungkook hums, but his hand stays on you.
For the rest of the lesson, he’s suddenly way too attentive. Helping you, adjusting your apron, calling you ‘wife’ three times in five minutes.
Oh, you know exactly what’s happening.
And honestly? You love it.
----
The sun is beginning to set, painting the sky in hues of pink and gold. The evening air carrying the salty scent of the ocean. Jungkook walks ahead, leading you toward a parked motorbike.
“Wait. You—”
Jungkook swings his leg over the seat effortlessly, grinning as he pats the space behind him. “Get on.”
Your eyes widen. “Jungkook. Where did you even get this?”
He smirks. “Rented it.”
You stare. “When?”
He shrugs, slipping his sunglasses on. “Had some free time.”
You cross your arms. “And you didn’t tell me?”
Jungkook chuckles, reaching for your wrist and pulling you closer. “It’s a surprise, baby. Now, come on.”
Jungkook pats the seat again, smirking. “Scared?”
You narrow your eyes. “Not even a little.”
Swinging your leg over, you settle behind him, wrapping your arms around his waist.
Jungkook hums in approval, his hands resting on yours.
“Hold on tight.”
The bike roars to life, wheels kicking up dust as he speeds down the open road.
Wind rushes through your hair, the world blurring around you in a mixture of colors and motion.
You gasp, laughing as you tighten your hold on him. “Jungkook—!”
He laughs too, a sound so free, so full of joy, that it makes your chest tighten.
“Like it?” he shouts over the wind.
You press your cheek against his back, grinning against the fabric of his shirt. “I love it!”
Jungkook grins too. And then—he speeds up.
You squeal, tightening your grip. “Jungkook, slow down!”
He chuckles, the sound vibrating through his chest. “I thought you weren’t scared?”
You huff, smacking his stomach lightly.
Jungkook laughs, slowing just a little.
He rides for a while, taking you through winding coastal roads, past cliffs overlooking the sea, the salty air mixing with the scent of his cologne.
He leads you both to a secluded viewpoint overlooking the ocean.
The view is breathtaking—endless ocean stretching toward the horizon, the sun dipping lower, turning the water into molten gold.
You don’t even realize you’re still holding onto him.
Jungkook turns slightly, his voice lower now. “You can let go, you know.”
You nuzzle against his shoulder. “Don’t want to.”
His fingers gently brush against yours.
Then, a whisper, almost lost in the sound of the waves.
“Then don’t.”
------------------- Day 6
You wake up expecting another fun day of exploring, but something feels different. Jungkook is way too calm. No teasing smirks. No cryptic questions.
Just casual, relaxed Jungkook, who kisses your forehead and says, “Let’s just take it easy today.”
Huh?
You squint at him. This man has been planning every second of this trip and now he suddenly wants to ‘take it easy’?
But okay, fine.
You two spend the day strolling around, checking out small shops. and every time you try to read his expression, he just smiles.
Like he knows something you don’t.
By late afternoon, you can’t take it anymore. You stop in your tracks and grab his arm. “Jungkook, what’s going on?”
“What do you mean?” he asks, pretending to be clueless.
“You’re… too normal?”
He snorts. “And that’s suspicious?”
“VERY.”
Jungkook just laughs and pulls you into a hug. “Baby, relax. Just enjoy the day, yeah?”
You narrow your eyes, suspicious as ever, but decide to let it go.
As you head back to the hotel, Jungkook casually says, “Oh, by the way, be ready by 7.”
Oh. Okay??
So here you are standing in front of the mirror, holding up two dresses.
Jungkook’s lack of details has you overthinking. What exactly are you dressing for? Something fancy? Something casual?
With a sigh, you call out, “Jungkook, help me pick.”
He walks over, eyes flicking between the two options. “Try them on.”
You huff. “Can’t you just choose?”
He smirks, leaning against the doorframe. “Nope. I wanna see.”
Rolling your eyes, you slip into the first dress—a soft, elegant choice. Pretty, but… safe.
You step out, twirling slightly. “This?”
Jungkook hums, tilting his head. “It’s nice.”
Nice?
You narrow your eyes. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
He bites back a grin. “Try the other one.”
You sigh but change into the second dress—a sleeveless, ankle-length beauty. fitted at the top, flowing softly down your waist, hugging you in all the right places.
You step out, smoothing the fabric "This one?”
His eyes drag over you, slower this time. His lips part slightly, but no words come out.
You raise an eyebrow. “Well?”
Jungkook swallows, his voice lower. “Yeah. That one.”
You smirk, turning back to the mirror. “Thought so.”
----
Jungkook leads you outside, where a sleek, black car is already waiting.
You blink, surprised. “Wait… you booked a private car?”
Jungkook grins, opening the door for you. “Of course. Only the best for my wife.”
You roll your eyes, getting in, biting back a small smile.
As the car glides through the city, Jungkook’s hand finds yours, thumb tracing small circles.
You glance at him. “Are you ever going to tell me where we’re going?”
He chuckles, shaking his head. “Nope.”
You huff dramatically. “I hate you.”
Jungkook just smirks, leaning closer. “No, you don’t.”
It doesn't take long when the car pulls up to the venue. He opens the door for you.
“We’re here,” he murmurs, squeezing your fingers.
You step out, and your breath catches instantly. The place is breathtaking. Not extravagant, not overwhelming—just perfect.
The entrance is lined with soft, golden lights. Delicate floral arrangements fill the space, their scent carried by the evening breeze. The tables are set with warm candlelight, elegant yet cozy decor, the entire atmosphere radiating love.
It’s exactly what you’d love.
You turn to him, eyes wide with awe. “Jungkook…”
He watches you, a small, proud smile tugging at his lips.
“You like it?” he asks softly.
Your chest tightens. “Like it? It’s.. beautiful.”
Jungkook grins, leading you inside.
But as you take it all in, you speak softly, “You shouldn’t have spent so much..”
Jungkook stops, turning to you. His brows furrow slightly, as if he doesn’t understand. With a small chuckle, he leans in, his voice gentle.
“Baby,” he murmurs. “Do you really think I wouldn’t give you the world if I could?”
Your heart stumbles. A small smile making to your face.
Jungkook pulls out your chair, helping you settle before taking his seat across from you. The soft candlelight flickers between you, casting a golden glow over his features.
And the way he’s looking at you? Like you’re the most beautiful thing in the room.
You raise an eyebrow, smiling. “You’re staring.”
Jungkook shrugs, unbothered. “Yeah.”
Your heart stumbles.
The conversation flows easily—laughter, teasing, deep moments that make your chest tighten. And just when you think the night couldn’t get any more romantic, Jungkook stands, offering his hand.
“Dance with me?”
Your eyes widen slightly. “Here?”
He nods toward the open space, where soft music plays in the background. “Why not?”
You hesitate for half a second before slipping your hand into his. Jungkook guides you effortlessly, his touch firm yet gentle. His arms wrap around you, pulling you close, swaying to the soft melody.
Your fingers play with the hair at the nape of his neck, your cheek pressing against his chest.
“I love you,” Jungkook murmurs.
Your heart melts.
You tilt your head up, meeting his gaze. “I love you, too.”
Jungkook’s smile softens before he leans in, pressing a gentle, lingering kiss to your lips.
Everything else fades.
It’s just you, him, and the feeling of being completely and utterly loved.
----
The ride back to the hotel is quiet, comfortable—Jungkook’s fingers lazily tracing patterns on your palm as he holds your hand.
Once inside the room, you kick off your heels, sighing dramatically.
Jungkook chuckles. “Tired?”
You turn to him, smirking. “Emotionally, yes. My husband was incredibly romantic tonight. It was overwhelming.”
Jungkook rolls his eyes, but the tips of his ears turn pink. “Shut up.”
You gasp. “Oh my god, are you blushing?”
He groans, grabbing your waist and pulling you into bed with him.
You yelp, laughing as you land against his chest.
His arms lock around you, holding you close. “Stop talking.”
You grin against his skin. “Never.”
Jungkook sighs dramatically, but his grip tightens.
You shift slightly, tilting your head up to look at him softly, “Seriously, though… tonight was perfect. Thank you.”
His gaze softens. “Anything for you, baby.”
Your heart melts as you snuggle deeper into his warmth.
Jungkook presses a lazy kiss to your forehead.
------------------- Day 7
From the moment you wake up, there’s a heaviness in your chest.
It’s the last day of your trip.
Tomorrow morning, you’ll be on a flight back home, and this dream-like escape with Jungkook will be just… a memory.
You sigh, leaning into his warmth. “I don’t want this to end.”
Jungkook presses a soft kiss to your temple. “We still have the whole day, baby.”
You both decide to just walk..with no specific destination in mind, hand in hand, strolling through the streets, weaving through flower stalls, sharing street food, laughing at nothing. The weather is perfect—bright but breezy, the sky painted in soft blues and wisps of white clouds.
Everywhere you turn, there are vibrant flowers in bloom, colors bursting against the golden buildings.
Jungkook squeezes your hand. “Happy?”
You look up at him, feeling the sun, the wind, the warmth of his palm against yours.
“Very.”
You don’t know how long you walk. Until—You turn a corner—
An open, breathtaking garden.
Sprawling fields of flowers in every shade imaginable. The gentle breeze carries their scent, petals dancing in the wind.
And the sunset—oh, the sunset. Burning gold, soft pinks, and deep purples, stretching endlessly into the horizon.
“...Wow.”
You step forward instinctively, tugging Jungkook’s hand, drawn to the beauty before you.
Your fingers graze the petals of a flower, eyes wide with childlike wonder.
“It’s so beautiful,” you whisper, voice barely above a breath.
Jungkook doesn’t respond.
Because he’s not looking at the flowers. He’s looking at you. The way your hair moves with the wind, strands catching the golden light. The way your lips part slightly in awe, the way your eyes shine with pure happiness.
His chest tightens, something deep and unshakable settling in his heart.
He clicks his camera. Capturing you—this moment, this feeling. The shutter sound makes you turn around, still grinning.
“Kook, this place is amazing, isn’t it?”
Jungkook steps forward, silently plucking a small flower from a nearby bush. gently tucking it behind your ear.
You laugh lightly at the gesture—until you notice his expression.
He’s just… watching you.
So much love in his eyes, so much depth—like he’s seeing something more than just this moment. The laughter fades. He leans in without a word.
A soft kiss. Slow. So full of emotion that your heart aches. When he pulls away, you whisper against his lips, breathless. "What was that for?”
Jungkook’s gaze holds yours. He smiles, voice barely above a whisper.
“Just like that.”
----
As the sun lowers into the horizon you're back to the beach, golden hues, the waves lapping gently at the shore.
You and Jungkook sit side by side on the sand, your fingers absentmindedly tracing patterns in it.
His arm rests behind you, his presence warm and comforting. Neither of you speaks much—there’s no need to. The silence is peaceful, filled only by the sound of the waves and the distant laughter of kids playing nearby.
Jungkook glances at you, softly smiling. “Feeling better?”
You hum, leaning your head on his shoulder. “Yeah. Today was perfect.”
He presses a kiss to your hair. “Good.”
You both sit there, soaking in the moment, something you never want to forget.
Your attention shifts to the group of kids laughing a little ways down the beach.
Something about their pure, carefree joy makes you smile.
You’re standing up, dusting the sand off your dress.
“I’ll be back.”
Jungkook raises an eyebrow. “Where are you—”
But you’re already walking toward the kids.
Jungkook stays seated, watching as you crouch down to talk to them, as they giggle, as you laugh with them.
Watching as your eyes shine with excitement, your hair catching the evening light, your smile so full of warmth it makes something deep inside him ache.
His chest feels… tight, full. Happy in a way that words can’t describe.
You fully immerse yourself in the game they’re playing, running around, helping them build something in the sand, laughing like a child yourself.
Jungkook can’t take his eyes off you.
After a while, you lean down, whispering something to one of the kids.
The said kid rushes toward him, stopping right in front of him with big, excited eyes.
“Your wife wants to know if you want to play with us!”
Jungkook blinks.
Then—he chuckles, shaking his head, completely endeared.
“Wife, huh?” he muses, standing up and dusting off his pants.
The boy nods eagerly. “She said you have to say yes.”
Jungkook sighs dramatically. “Of course she did.”
But he’s already walking toward you, amusement dancing in his eyes.
“Didn’t even spare the kids, huh?” he teases, wrapping an arm around your waist playfully.
You grin up at him. “Nope.”
Jungkook shakes his head, but he’s smiling—smiling so, so much.
For the next hour, the two of you run through the sand, playing, laughing, losing yourselves in the moment.
Jungkook picks up a kid, spins them around, their giggles echoing through the air. You chase another, only to get caught yourself, falling onto the sand in a fit of laughter. And through it all—Jungkook watches you. His heart aching with love, with something deeper, something infinite.
Because this?
This is what happiness feels like.
The walk back to the hotel is quiet, peaceful—your hearts still full from the evening.
As soon as you step inside, you both head to the bathroom, washing off the sand. Jungkook runs a towel through his damp hair, watching as you step out first.
You make your way to the mirror, fingers reaching up to remove your earrings. Jungkook wraps his arms around you from behind, his chin resting on your shoulder.
Your eyes fall to his hand—the matching ring on his finger. Then to yours. You chuckle softly, turning in his embrace.
"Our fake marriage ends tonight,” you tease, holding up your hand.
Jungkook’s eyes flicker, something unreadable passing through them.
He exhales a soft laugh, shaking his head.
“Not yet,” he murmurs, lifting your hand to his lips. “We still have a few hours left.”
His voice is low, filled with something that makes your breath catch.
He kisses you. Slow—like he’s memorizing the way you taste, the way you feel, the way this moment exists.
Jungkook’s hands trail down your back, feather-light, deliberate.
You feel the slow unzip of your dress. You shudder, anticipation curling in your stomach, making your breath hitch.
His lips stay on yours, teasing, soft, even as his fingers push the fabric off your shoulders. The silk slides down your arms, skimming your skin before pooling at your feet.
Jungkook leans back slightly, his darkened gaze sweeping over you. His tongue flicks over his lips, jaw tightening.
You feel warmth creep up your neck. “Jungkook…”
A small smirk tugs at his lips. “You’re shy?”
“Shut up,” you breathe.
He chuckles, shaking his head, but his hands are already lifting you effortlessly. You gasp softly as he carries you to the bed, his grip firm, steady.
Jungkook lays you down gently, hovering above you, his fingers gliding over your skin—his lips follow, trailing soft kisses from your collarbone, across your chest, moving lower. Jungkook takes his time. His mouth brushes against your skin—slow, reverent.
His hands map every curve, every dip, every part of you that he wants to claim. You writhe beneath him, warmth spreading through your body, your fingers threading through his hair.
He looks up, his gaze locking with yours, something intense flickering in his eyes.
“You’re so beautiful,” he murmurs, his voice husky, thick with emotion.
Heat coils in your stomach, your heart hammering.
Jungkook smirks softly. “Still shy?”
You bite your lip, refusing to answer, but he just chuckles. Jungkook’s fingers trail down your spine, teasing.
His lips find the sensitive spot on your neck, sucking lightly as his hands slide to your back, unhooking your bra with practiced ease.
The fabric falls away, and his hot mouth lashes onto your breast, tongue swirling, sucking, teasing.
A gasp escapes you, your back arching into him. His hand already trailing lower, over your stomach, between your thighs. His fingers press over your soaked panties, applying just enough pressure to make you squirm.
“So wet for me,” he murmurs, his voice thick with desire.
Your hips lift slightly, desperate for more. Jungkook smirks against your skin, pushing your panties aside before slipping his fingers through your folds.
His touch is gentle but firm, working you open, drawing soft, breathless moans from your lips.
Your fingers tangle into his hair, tugging. “-kook…” His name falls from your lips, breathy, desperate.
That seems to snap something in him. He pulls his fingers out slowly, making you whimper at the loss. You reach for his t-shirt, tugging at it impatiently.
Jungkook doesn’t hesitate. He pulls it over his head, revealing golden skin, hard muscles, the sculpted lines of his chest.
Your hands immediately roam over his torso, feeling every ridge, every flex beneath your touch.
He kisses you again, claiming. As his lips move against yours, you lower your hand, palming him through his pants. Jungkook groans against your mouth, his hips twitching at your touch. Tugging at his waistband, you push his pants down, and he helps, kicking them off.
Your fingers wrap around his thick, heavy length, stroking slowly. Jungkook shudders, his head dropping into the crook of your neck. His hand moves between your legs again, teasing your entrance, feeling just how ready you are.
You grab him, lining him up at your entrance. Jungkook’s gaze meets yours, dark, burning. Your body stretches, molding to fit him perfectly as he pushes in.
A moan rips from your throat, but Jungkook swallows it, his lips pressing against yours. He moves slow, savoring every second, letting you feel everything.
One hand strokes your cheek, his thumb caressing your lower lip. You part your lips, taking his thumb into your mouth, sucking softly.
Jungkook’s eyes darken instantly, his jaw tightening. His pace quickens, thrusts deep and deliberate, every movement pushing you closer to the edge.
Your nails dig into his back, leaving scratches—marks that he welcomes.
“I—I'm close,” you whimper, body trembling beneath him.
Jungkook’s breath is ragged, his forehead pressed to yours. “Hold it,” he rasps, his voice raw.
Your body trembles beneath him, every nerve overwhelmed as Jungkook keeps his slow, deep thrusts steady. His breath is hot against your lips, his forehead resting against yours.
Your fingers clutch his back, nails dragging over his skin, and he groans, hips stuttering for a moment. “Jungkook-,” you gasp, legs tightening around his waist.
You whimper, toes curling, mind blurring.
Jungkook leans down, capturing your lips in a desperate kiss, swallowing your moans. His thumb trails between your bodies, finding that sensitive spot, rubbing slow, teasing circles.
You arch into him, body tightening.
“Now,” he breathes, voice low, commanding. “Come with me, baby.”
He thrusts deep, hitting exactly where you need him. Your body shatters, waves of pleasure crashing over you, moans spilling from your lips as you fall apart beneath him.
Jungkook groans deeply, burying his face in your neck as his release follows, hips jerking, his body shaking with the force of it.
He holds you so tight, as if trying to keep this moment frozen in time. Both of you pant heavily, bodies tangled together, skin sticky with sweat.
Jungkook stays inside you, his weight warm, loving.
His arms wrap snugly around your waist, pressing slow, lazy kisses to your shoulder, your collarbone, anywhere he can reach.
Your fingers tangle in his damp hair, trailing softly, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breath.
Your heart is still racing. After a moment, he lifts his head, his dark eyes finding yours, heavy with something deep, something endless.
You smile, tired but content. “What?”
Jungkook just stares, brushing a stray strand of hair from your face. His fingers trace soft, absentminded patterns over your skin, the other still intertwined with yours.
He speaks, softer than a whisper, almost like an afterthought, “Do you want to marry me again after this trip?”
A soft, breathless laugh escapes you. “What?”
Jungkook doesn’t waver. His hold tightens slightly, thumb brushing against your knuckles. A little more hesitant, but still so full of love—
“Do you want to marry me, Y/N?”
The weight of his words settles over you—warm, overwhelming, all-consuming.
Your lips part slightly, heart stuttering.
But then—you realize something.
You stare at him for a moment, and then, to his surprise, a soft chuckle slips past your lips.
Jungkook’s brows furrow slightly, confused.
“Jungkook…” you murmur, biting your lip, eyes twinkling. “Did you really just propose to me in this situation?”
His ears turn red instantly. A soft groan escapes him as he buries his face in your shoulder.
“Just answer,” he mumbles, voice muffled against your skin.
Your chest tightens—so full of warmth, so full of love you can barely contain it.
Cupping his face, you bite back a bigger smile, your voice soft,—
“Don’t you already know the answer?”
Jungkook’s breath catches. He murmurs, softer this time.
“I want to hear it.”
You pull him down, your lips brushing against his as you whisper—
“Yes. I’ll marry you again, husband.”
His breath shudders—something raw, something so full of love it nearly breaks you.
He's kissing you.
Slow. Endless.
Like a promise, like a vow, like something unbreakable. His hands tighten around yours, fingers lacing together.
Your matching rings glinting under the dim light.
Blending together.
Like fate. Like love.
Like something that was meant to be all along.

Just the tip - Ex!Peter Parker
Tumblr media
summary: just the tip with ex!peter parker cw: SMUT, kind of pushy/manipulative peter but everything is consensual. wc: 2k
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Peter fell through the open window of your bedroom, you had let out a loud gasp, spinning around in your desk chair, only clad in your exposing pyjamas. At the sight of your ex boyfriend, you put your hands on your hips, instantly abandoning the homework laid out on your desk. Standing up, you walked towards the hopeful boy, watching as he approached you, a pleading look in his eyes. “So we’re normalising breaking into our ex’s apartments now?” Peter opened his mouth, putting both hands on your hips desperately. “Peter just because you’re spider-man-” “Please.” Peter whispered, his eyes tearing up slightly. “I miss you.” He said, making you drop your hands flatly by your sides. One of your hands came up to cup Peter’s face, thumb caressing his cheek softly. Peter leaned into your touch, shutting his eyes as he savoured the moment.
You looked at Peter with concern; this wasn’t the first time he had come back to you, longing to be held. Things had always escalated to more despite telling yourself that you wouldn’t allow it to happen again. “Can you hold me, please?” Peter asked, ducking his head down to nuzzle in the crook of your neck. Obediently, you snaked the hand on Peter’s face around his neck and over his shoulder, the other one wrapping around his torso. Peter sighed, his own arms enveloping around the curve of your waist. You held him for a moment, inhaling his familiar scent as you gently stroked his back. From where Peter’s head is pressed up in the pocket of your neck, he slowly presses a soft kiss to your skin. You took in a sharp breath, jumping slightly at the sudden movement. Peter kissed your neck again, but you didn’t have the heart to pull away from him. “We can’t keep doing this Pete.” You mumbled instead, a hand finding its way in Peter’s soft locks. “Just this once. It’ll be the last time I promise.” You vividly recall him uttering similar words to you last time.
Sighing, you stepped away from Peter, unravelling your arms from around him. As though he knew what you were thinking, Peter added “Baby, please.” You let your head drop to the side, crossing your arms over your chest in an unconvinced manner. “Peter, we broke up. Exes don’t keep going back to each other like this.” At your words, Peter dropped to his knees in front of you, both hands landing on your thighs, softly grasping them. He looked up at you with his signature begging, puppy eyes, leaning his chin on your exposed abdomen. “You broke up with me. I’d never leave you. Just one night. Let me spend one night with you.” You uncrossed your arms from your chest, returning your hand to Peter’s hair, softly scratching at his skull. Peter never broke eye contact with you, leaning just slightly forward to press a kiss on your bare stomach. You tugged your short tank top down, hoping to stop the tickle from Peter’s kisses, until you finally gave in, telling the boy to stand up.
Peter followed you to your bed, chanting quietly “Thank you, thank you, thank you.” You tossed the covers off the corner of your bed for you to climb in, patting the empty space next to you for Peter to join you. He immediately climbed in next to you, allowing you to cover him up with the soft blanket before cuddling into you. You turned on your side, facing Peter and watching as he pressed his face directly against your breasts, both hands coming to your hips to pull you closer to him before his arm settled over your waist. Sighing melancholically, you threw a leg over one of Peter’s, tangling your body with his as you leaned forward, pressing a kiss on his forehead. Peter laid still as you played with his hair and kissed along with hairline, treasuring the intimate moment. It had been so long since he had felt loved like this. In fact, the last time he felt cared for was the previous time he had been in your arms, despite your complaints about these reoccurring meetings.
Finally taking his opportunity, Peter shuffled upwards on the bed so that he was face to face with you, nose nudging against yours. With Peter’s intentions clear, you had enough time to pull away if you wanted to, but you felt bad, or at least that’s what you told yourself. You didn’t want consider that the way Peter’s eyes flickered down to your lips made you feel engrossed in him, or that his lips also looked soft. You didn’t want to consider the fact that maybe Peter wanting you so badly drew you closer to him. But he was your ex, and the furthest you would go is a kiss. So when Peter leaned ever so closer to you to press his lips against yours, you didn’t pull away, allowing your eyes to flutter shut.
Peter’s lips moulded against yours, his lips separating slightly so his tongue could shoot out to lips your bottom lip, a silent request for access into your mouth. When your mouth dipped open, allowing Peter’s tongue to press against yours, his hand came up, cupping your jaw to pull you closer to him. Peter pushed himself up on one of his forearms, using the height over you to press you deeper into the mattress as he deepened the kiss, his tongue licking deeper into your mouth. You gasped, pushing Peter away by his chest as you panted in attempt to catch your breath. Peter’s mouth latched onto your neck, immediately suckling at the sensitive skin as he moved his weight over you. Peter held the leg you had on top of his to pull it over his waist, testing your limits as he experimentally thrusted his hips between your spread legs. You immediately gasped, pushing Peter’s mouth off your neck and sitting up straight. Peter fell on the bed next to you, a guilty look on his features. “I thought-” “Peter, exes don’t have sex. If we have sex, we’re official again.” Peter furrowed his eyebrows at your words, the same sentence echoing in his mind over and over again. But I want us to be official again.
“Let me put the tip in. Just the tip.” You looked unconvinced, leaning over to take a sip of water from your bedside table. Peter scanned your legs, your cotton shorts riding up with each movement you did. When you sat up straight again, you readjusted the straps of your tank top and crossed your arms over your chest, suddenly aware of the way your nipples were constraining against the fabric of your top. “Just the tip isn’t sex.” Peter pushed, adding a pleading “Please.” “You’re really going to get off on just putting the tip in?” You questioned, eyeing Peter down. He felt himself harden when your gaze landed on his covered cock. “Just want to feel warm.” He weakly argued.
You rolled your eyes, reaching your hand out to grasp the cotton of Peter’s t-shirt, roughly pulling him towards you so you could slam your lips against his. Peter moaned, softly holding your face, but you broke the kiss as quickly as you started it. Peter froze, awaiting further instruction from you. “Just the tip.” You warned, laying back on your bed. Peter instantly jumped up, as though he had to act before you changed your mind. He tripped over his trousers twice before finally tossing them somewhere in our room, and his boxers went next, carefully watching the way your eyes widened slightly in reminiscence. Peter climbed over you, his knees on either side of your legs as he hooked his fingers through both your shorts and panties. He slowly tugged them down your smooth legs, leaning down to press a single kiss on your mound. Peter climbed off you, manhandling your body to lay on your side and settling himself flush against your back. You gasped, feeling Peter’s hard cock poking against your hip. Peter wrapped an arm over your shoulder, pulling you back to stay put against him while his second hand guided his cock towards your entrance.
Peter’s dick nudged your tight hole and you shut your eyes tightly, listening to the immediate moan that ripped from Peter’s chest. You cursed, seriously considering to tell Peter to push all the way in as you felt his swollen tip dip into your entrance. Peter whined, pulling his dick out of you and you sighed disappointedly. Peter bit his lip so hard it almost bled, his thighs shaking in attempt not to push himself all the way in. He needed to abide by your rules if you were going to let this happen again. “Just the tip.” You mumbled absentmindedly, drool gathering in your mouth as you pushed your ass out for Peter to put it back in. Peter panted, trying to control himself as he put the tip back in your entrance, rocking slowly back and forth. “Just the tip.” Peter repeated, but quickly found himself losing control over his actions, and suddenly, he had half his dick inside you.
The both of you moaned in unison, and Peter brought a hand to the arch of your back, caressing your skin. He needed to take a moment or else he'd instantly be coming inside you. You reached a hand behind you, landing halfway on Peter’s cheek. Peter kissed your hand, pushing himself up to press kisses on your cheek and jaw. You whined in pleasure, rolling your hips back to take as much of Peter’s dick as possible. “Fuck, just put it in baby!” You cried, finally letting your put-together front crumble down. Peter chanted a string of ‘thank you’s, finally snapping his hips all the way in so his cock fully sheathed himself in your folds. Wrapping an arm over your hips, Peter shifted his weight to switch your positions, landing you laying on your stomach with him on top of you.
Whining, you pushed yourself on your knees, chest touching the mattress as Peter kneeled, gripping both your hips tightly before setting an unforgiving pace on your cunt. Your moans immediately increased, small sounds escaping you with each push of Peter’s cock closer to your cervix. Peter relentlessly whimpered, feeling his orgasm building up quickly, but he needed to make you cum. He needed to make you cum or you’d never let him fuck you ever again. Desperately, Peter snaked his fingers around your body, concentrating hard on finding your clit while keeping up the pace and brutality of his thrusts. You whined impatiently, your own hand finding Peter’s to guide him to your clit. When his fingers finally made contact with your clit, your toes were immediately curling, a high pitched moan escaping you. Peter squeezed his eyes shut, feeling your pussy clench around his dick. “Come on baby, cum for me.” He begged, rubbing harsh circles on your clit as his thrusts became sloppy. You couldn’t help your bodily reaction to how pathetic Peter sounded, your cunt clamping on his dick as you came, causing a string of curse words to leave Peter’s mouth as his own orgasm was triggered. “Shit, shit, shit.” He mumbled, whimpering softly as he emptied his loud into you, your sounds of ecstasy ringing in his ears.
Peter softly rocked his hips into yours, hoping to ride out your orgasm, but you whined at the overstimulation, and Peter knew it was time to pull out. You immediately slumped against the bed when Peter pulled out with a groan, sitting next to you to rub a hand over your back. You turned onto your back, looking up at Peter tiredly, and gesturing for him to get closer to you. With a hand on his jaw, you pulled him into another kiss, engrossed in the fact that this would be the last time you two had sex. “Last time Peter. Yeah?” Peter nodded, mumbling “I’m happy with that, yeah.”
But his words sounded so familiar you refused to believe them.

The Joker was ranting again, his shrill laughter echoing off the walls of the Justice League’s holding cells. Danny Fenton—or as they knew him, the Ghost King—leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, a scowl etched on his face. The tension in the room was palpable, the League standing by in case the infamous clown decided to get creative. But Danny wasn’t worried. He’d dealt with worse.
“You think you’re so scary, huh?” Danny muttered, loud enough for everyone to hear. The Joker’s grin faltered for a split second before he burst into laughter again, clearly unfazed—or pretending to be. Danny rolled his eyes. “Pathetic. You’re just loud and messy. Real fear doesn’t need a laugh track.”
The room went silent. Superman shifted uncomfortably, glancing between Danny and the Joker. Batman’s eyes narrowed, taking in the Ghost King’s uncharacteristic venom.
It wasn’t that Danny was usually chatty during these encounters, but his utter disdain for the Joker—his unwillingness to engage in anything more than curt dismissal—was becoming a pattern. Everyone noticed it, and no one dared ask. The Joker, for his part, didn’t push further. Something in Danny’s glowing green eyes made even him hesitate.
But when Jonathan Crane—the Scarecrow—was brought in a few weeks later, the mood shifted entirely.
Crane was quiet as he was escorted into a separate cell, his lanky frame hunched but his eyes sharp, calculating. The League had just wrapped up an exhausting mission to stop one of his fear toxin rampages, and they were still on edge. Crane didn’t bother with his usual monologues, which was unusual enough to make everyone uneasy.
Except Danny.
As soon as Danny saw Crane, he snorted. Loudly. The kind of derisive snort that made Wonder Woman glance his way in confusion. “This guy?” Danny said, pointing at Crane with his thumb. “Seriously?”
Crane’s head tilted ever so slightly, his curiosity piqued. “The Ghost King,” he said, his voice low and rasping. “A being of great power and…fear. How delightful.”
“Don’t,” Danny interrupted, holding up a hand. “Just don’t. Whatever you’re about to say, I’ve heard it before. And honestly? You’re embarrassing yourself.”
Crane blinked, caught off guard. “Embarrassing myself?”
Danny sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Look, I get it. You’re all about fear. Big bad Scarecrow, master of terror, blah blah blah. But do you even know what fear is? Real fear? Because from where I’m standing, you’re just a guy with some glorified bug spray.”
The room went dead silent. Flash stifled a laugh. Batman’s jaw tightened, his gaze flickering between Danny and Crane. The Scarecrow, however, didn’t seem angry. If anything, he looked…intrigued.
“And what,” Crane asked slowly, “would you consider real fear, Your Highness?”
Danny’s eyes glowed brighter, his voice dropping an octave. “Real fear is the kind that makes your soul ache. It’s the kind of fear that lingers in the dark corners of your mind, whispering that you’re not enough, that you’ll never be enough. It’s watching everything you love slip away and knowing you can’t stop it. It’s the void staring back at you and realizing it doesn’t care.”
He leaned forward, his face inches from the glass separating them. “Your little toxins? They’re cheap tricks. Flashy illusions. A waste of potential. You could actually do something with all your knowledge, but instead, you play Halloween in Gotham like some knockoff horror movie villain.”
Crane didn’t reply immediately. For once, he seemed at a loss for words. The others stared at Danny, half-impressed, half-confused. Even Batman’s ever-stoic expression had a flicker of something resembling surprise.
Finally, Crane chuckled, a dry, humorless sound. “Perhaps you’re right,” he admitted. “But fear, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Perhaps one day, you’ll see the artistry in my work.”
Danny scoffed again, turning to leave. “Don’t hold your breath, Doc. You’d pass out before you made anything actually scary.”
As Danny walked away, Superman stepped up beside him, lowering his voice. “You’ve faced worse, haven’t you?”
Danny shrugged. “I’ve been worse. That guy? He’s just a waste of scary.”
Superman frowned. “What does that even mean?”
Danny smirked, his eyes gleaming. “Stick around, Big Blue. Maybe one day I’ll show you.”

lost and found!
lando norris x daughter!reader
summary: baby norris goes missing in a crowded paddock, her father? not happy.
warnings: none!
w/c: 1.8k
a/n: first post here.. eek! i hope you guys like my little character of baby norris, i'm hoping to write more for her, so if you have any requests, please send them in!!
~~~
A Formula 1 paddock was a busy place. Mechanics were working hard to get the cars in tip-top shape for the day, reporters were rushing around to the latest ‘big story’ with dozens of cameras following and fans were scrambling around to get a glimpse of their idols. All in all, the paddock was chaotic for even the most oriented of us.
The paddock was not the place for a three year old.
However, in the Melbourne paddock, tiny baby Norris was giggling like mad, toddling around the zoo of the paddock, elated to be back at daddy’s work after a long, boring winter break.
Though he hates to admit it, Lando had not planned your appearance in his life. You were the result of a drunken one night stand, and nine months later you appeared to him after your mother signed away any parental rights. Despite that, you were the light of his life, he couldn’t imagine a world without his gorgeous baby daughter who managed to bring so much joy into any situation, you were his everything.
Unfortunately, at present he was preoccupied with some media duties before the upcoming free practice session, so the responsibility of you had been placed on some Mclaren assistant, Henry, who had looked away for a second too long and the little girl had been lost in the crowd. The assistant was shitting himself, how had he managed to screw up this bad, it was his first day on the job and he had already lost the boss’ kid!! He was so gonna be fired.
Therefore, he felt it wise to not mention to Lando that his three year old was currently waddling around the crazy busy paddock, filled with heavy machinery and people 5 times her size. Instead, Henry grabbed some other intern and began frantically searching.
It was not an easy task, looking for a pocket sized three year old in a rampacked motorsports paddock. Henry and intern no.2 checked the obvious places first: Lando’s drivers room? No. Oscar’s side of the garage? No. The Williams garage? (You were very fond of Carlos) No.
You were nowhere, somehow Lando Norris’ three year old daughter had been gifted the power of invisibility and disappeared off of the face of the Earth. Henry was stressing. To make matters worse, he then got a text he had been dreading.
Lando Norris
hey man, just finished the interview, thank you for watching the baby, you think you could drop her back to me?
Henry cursed aloud, kissing goodbye to his job as he knew that he’d have to show up to Lando empty handed. Him and the other intern he’d coerced into coming trudged slowly back to the Mclaren garage, preparing to face the wrath of a very angry dad.
As soon as Lando saw Henry enter, his face lit up, finally getting to see his precious girl after a few grueling hours of media commitments. However, his smile dropped immediately when he saw Henry’s guilty look, and the lack of a toddler in his tow. He marched forward.
“Where the fuck is she?” He demanded, no kindness in his voice.
“I- uhm- she- I’m sorry! She’s so small, and so quick! And one minute she was right next to me and the next she was gone!” Henry cried, accepting that this was the last time he’d be working in an F1 paddock.
“You lost my daughter?!?” Lando seethed, completely outraged, his darling girl was missing! “You had one job and you lost my daughter?? How immensely careless can one person be!” He shouted, the only thing holding him back from suckerpunching Henry being the fact that he was the last person to see you, and therefore would be most helpful in finding you.
The commotion, however, alerted the attention of some other people including Zak Brown, Mclaren’s CEO, who was making his rounds of the garage, greeting some high profile guests. He walked over, patting Lando on the shoulder in a very Zak-Brown-manner.
“Ah, Lando! Been looking for you! What’s going on here?”
“The dickhead lost my kid!” Lando exclaimed, more than furiously, whilst Harry just stood there silently, having gone deathly pale. Zak’s normally upbeat mood dropped, seeing the distress his driver was in, he couldn’t be having this! Free practice was only a couple hours away!
“Oh goodness, that’s not… optimal… Have you searched for her at all, boy?” he questioned Henry, who nodded and let out a noise that could’ve been interpreted as a whimper of fear.
“W-we went to look for her, we searched everywhere! B-but she wasn’t there…” he stammered, this was just great now both of his bosses were here to fire him. Not even his bosses! They were like his boss’ boss’ boss’ bosses!
“Of course you couldn’t find her! She’s like 2 feet tall, no one would be able to find her in a crowd like that!” Lando scoffed, he didn’t want to let his worry show in front of the whole garage, so instead his emotions were being projected as anger towards a very scared looking Henry.
“Well, why don’t we all calm down..” Zak intervened, he did not need one of his drivers having a meltdown at T-Minus 2 hours before the first free practice session of the season. “I’m sure she’ll turn up, the kid can barely go 30 minutes without her daddy, she’ll be running back soon enough.”
“Oh god, she’s probably so scared…” moaned Lando, Zak’s words doing nothing to soothe him, only heightening the growing sense of dread in the pit of his stomach.
Noticing Lando’s growing anguish, Zak knew he had to act, quickly sending orders to whoever was in shouting distance to go and search the paddock from the bottom up, and not to return until they had a little curly haired girl in their grasp.
As well as this, he told Henry to go somewhere else and help the search party, he did not think it smart to have Henry and Lando in close proximity, worried about the British driver’s anger getting the best of him. He did not need a fight breaking out only 2 hours before FP1
The next 45 minutes were possibly the worst of Lando’s life, Sochi 2021 was nothing compared to this. His precious, angel, darling girl was missing and there was nothing he could do about as Zak had forbidden him from leaving the garage, claiming he’d draw too much attention if he went out to join the search. What, like 50 Mclaren staff all searching the paddock wasn’t going to draw enough attention itself?
He sat in his driver's room with his face in his hands, distraught at the idea that his baby girl might be hurt, or worse… He couldn’t let himself think about it, his trainer, Jon, was in the room as well trying to soothe his nerves, but nothing was working, all he wanted was his little girl back in his arms.
Suddenly, the door to his driver’s room swung open, revealing Henry, looking extremely tired out, holding a tiny girl who was looking way too proud of herself.
“Daddy!!” You screeched, grinning widely, thrashing around in Henry’s arms to get to him.
“Oh my baby..” About 50 tonnes of weight lifted from Lando’s shoulders as he rushed over to take you from Henry. “My baby, my baby, my baby..” He chanted, rocking you in his arms, holding you close to his chest, never wanting to let go. “You gave daddy such a fright, angel!” He reprimanded, but there was no malice to his tone whatsoever, he was just glad his baby was back. “Where did you run off to, hm?”
“Lollipop, daddy!” You squealed, and then it clicked for Lando, of course that’s where she went. When the two of you arrived in the paddock this morning there was a man selling large lollipops, almost the size of you, near the entrance. You had immediately been struck by this, begging your daddy to pretty please! buy one for you, but Lando had media duties he had to get to, but promised to get one later (he could never say no to you), but of course that wasn’t acceptable to your little head, so you’d had to run away to go get one.
Surprisingly, you had managed to get her hands on one, though Lando wasn’t sure how, it wasn’t like you had your own money. It was probably because you were just too cute to resist, with your beaming smile, little curly hair and green eyes just like him, you could woo just about anybody. Even the ever serious Oscar Piastri manages to crack some grins whenever you’re around.
“You can’t be running away though my angel… what if you got hurt, hm? And daddy wasn’t there to kiss it better. That was very naughty of you baby.” He tried to be strict with you, he really did, but one look at your little pouting face was enough to make him melt all over again.
“‘M sorry daddy…” You mumbled, you didn’t like it when your daddy tells you off, your daddy never tells you off! “Just wan’ed lollipop…”
“Oh baby, I know… don’t worry, Daddy isn’t angry anymore, he was just scared, okay? And you gotta promise you’re never gonna do that again, otherwise no more lollipops..”
“I pwomise daddy!!” you were fully capable of speaking normally, but even at age 3, you knew exactly the type of voice to use to get your daddy to forgive you.
“Good girl, angel..” he cooed, still rocking you in his arms. His moment with his daughter was broken, however, when he realised that Henry was still in the room, looking slightly uncomfortable.
“You found her?” He questions Henry, his tone slightly guarded.
“Y-yeah, she was by the entrance.. Didn’t seem very fazed about the chaos she caused…” Henry tries to joke, to lighten the tension, but Lando’s expression was unreadable.
After a moment, Lando spoke up. “I’m not going to fire you.” an audible sigh of relief could be heard coming from Henry. “But you’re never looking after her again, you hear me?” Henry just nods quickly, too thankful that he hasn’t lost his job to care. “Good. you can go now.” The intern scrambles out the room.
“Daddy loves you so much, darling. Always remember that, okay? So so much..” He whispers to the small girl in his arms, who was now starting to doze off, after the excitement of the lollipop saga.
He just smiled, pressing a loving kiss to the top of your head, before he laid you down on the sofa in his driver’s room, covering you with a blanket so you could sleep peacefully.
omfg he would be soooo pissed💀
picture this;
The morning after everything happened, Sukuna was more than ready to make it official with you. He had already planned how he was going to seduce you. He got up early to hit the gym before you even woke up, so when you were finally awake, you would see him all jacked up and sweaty. It literally had his stomach fluttering with excitement at just how fast he knew you'd fold.
Well, easier said than done, because when he does get home and hear someone in the kitchen, it's not you cutely rubbing your sleepy eyes in nothing but a baggy shirt. Instead, it’s that white-haired freak from last night.
He literally rolls his eyes, ignoring the greeting the guy sends and telling him to “get the fuck out” to which Satoru just laughs, takes his toast (which he made in Sukuna’s toaster, by the way), and exits the kitchen while taking a bite. Sukuna goes to your room door but is stopped by the obnoxious blond.
“She left, said she was going to see a friend.”
“Why are you still here?”
Satoru shrugs before grabbing the shirt he had thrown onto the couch the previous night and waving goodbye, crumbs from the toast he was eating still on his lips, before the door slams shut.
Ryomen was floored. Were you two officials? Is that why you finally brought someone home? He couldn’t deny the pinch in his chest, but he shoved it aside. I mean, he would happily break up a home, so even if this was your stupid boyfriend, it wouldn’t dampen anything. He doesn’t mind a little competition.
At least, that’s what he thinks it’s going to be. Since that night, both of your schedules had been too complicated, and you two had only seen each other in passing. But tonight, he knew you would both be off and it’s the weekend, so he knows you at least don’t have anything till midday.
You return late, and you are absolutely not alone.
You’re with another guy, some blond man who looks a little too pristine to be found at the club (who he later finds out is kento from your whimpered of “kento! Oh fuck—yes! right there!”).
You don’t even notice that Sukuna's door is wide open and instead stumble straight into your own. and Ryomen is jaw-dropped, shocked.
He begins to feel like a cuck; all he does is listen to you fuck this random selection of men you’ve created within these recent couple of weeks and fuck his fist stupid. It’s so embarrassing to feel like a hormonal teenager who can’t get a grip. but he can’t stop; he just remembers what you look like under Satoru.
Night after night, all weekend long, you’re bringing home someone new. although after a while it’s just the same three guys. the annoying blond, Kento (or “the businessman”), and some random boy named "choso,” who he walked in on you giving a blow job to.
You stopped immediately, so embarrassed and shy, as if you didn’t just have this guy with his eyes rolled back, nearly crying every time you gagged on him. Choso, on the other hand, looked too fucked out to care about the third person in the room.
Sukuna was so hard and horny all the time, and his interest in finding someone to handle it was useless. He wanted you, not some random girl. He even bought a fleshlight for the first time, needing something other than his hand to hump.
One night, he returned late and heard the sweet noises of your mewls (again, it was starting to feel like a routine). He tried to quietly pass your door, but stopped short. three voices?
He almost couldn't believe it, but after cracking your door open, there you were. You were jerking Satoru off, his white hair sticking to his damp forehead, while this guy with long black hair was pounding into you. One of his hands wrapped around your throat while the other played with your clit, your body jerking at the intensity of stimulation. Satoru played with your swollen nipples, pinching and leaning down to suck them.
Sukuna can’t help but pull his phone out and record it, going back to his room and rutting into his fleshlight until his cock is raw. the video on a constant loop because he was so fucking addicted. You looked so good. so pretty, and pliant under them. He wanted, no, needed to have you.
You lay in bed, absolutely exhausted after Suguru and Satoru left. You still can’t deny the effect Sukuna has on you, but since you’ve started having hookups, you haven’t even tried to listen to what Ryo does (not that you could’ve or noticed, clearly. he’s been on a dry spell). While you sleep peacefully, snuggled into your warm comforter, Sukuna lies awake, extremely frustrated.
he’s sooo down bad://
