Six Sentence Sunday!

Y'ALL, LOOK AT MY NEW HEADER. LOOK AT IT. I CRY EVERY SINGLE TIME I DO. The lovely and incredible and amazing @roseapothecary aka @indestructibleheart made this for me, as an early present for my birthday coming up in a couple weeks, and I actually cried, it's so beautiful and perfect. Which is precisely why I feel the need to really bring it with these sentences today, to honor the debut of such a lovely header.

Without further ado, have more than six sentences from an upcoming one shot that I'm still not entirely certain how to finish and currently have Alex/Henry left in two very interesting positions because I was writing at work, as one does, and work ended, and then I definitely didn't do any writing when I got home. Oops?

Alex opens and closes his mouth several more times, the gears in his brilliant mind sufficiently lubricated by whiskey but moving far too quickly for him to grasp the proper words in the proper order. “Can you lift me again?” he finally asks, a sigh escaping his lips once the words have been set free. Henry quirks an eyebrow, curiosity clearly piqued. “Any higher and we’re on the roof, love,” he teases, glancing up at the ceiling above their heads. “And as romantic as that might be, I’m not entirely certain I can climb the ladder for both of us.” Alex shakes his head immediately, his curls tickling Henry’s cheek with the movement. “I need–” he starts, pursing his lips to cut himself off. Henry presses a light kiss against his closed mouth in silent reassurance. “I need you to fuck me against the wall.”

It's always funny to me when in an lu fic the chain is offered bananas and don't accept them. Like, you're offering these high energy adventures free food?? Fruit they'll have never even heard of before??? A ridiculously expensive imported good at best?? AND it boosts your attack?

Checkered King X Kinger

Both Kings in an Unreal world, both Chess Themed, Both Purple-adjacent, and both are tragic bisexuals who lost their beloved wife (Checkered King to an unspecified illness, Kinger to Abstraction)

Do I think they should kiss? Eeeeeh. Do I think they should go to the same group therapy sessions and chat? Absolutely.

I dunno if you asked me a crossover ship I liked now I think I would say these two. It helps I consumed all of their medias in the same 24 span of time.

“Well, yeah, of course.” Buck answers easily, his heartbeat speeding up. He’s a little anxious about putting too much pressure, too many expectations out there, but he also knows that even if he did, they’d get back on track, they’d be fine. And besides, Tommy’s smiling, he doesn’t seem freaked out at all. And that’s after Buck brought up children. But if they’re moving forward with their relationship, they need to know what they want out of life. It seems reasonable to have this conversation this early on.

“Good.” he responds, grinning widely. “Now I won't have to stress about your answer when I ask.” he adds, and Buck feels himself blush, butterflies in his stomach going wild. Oh. Oh. This is- this is real. They’re talking about it, and maybe someday soon- he might marry this man. He will marry this man. Tommy wants him forever. Tommy wants him. Tommy wants to marry him and have children with him, and just be with him. Sometimes it’s still so shocking to Buck that someone as great and amazing as Tommy wants him, but he does. Buck’s not sure he remembers the last time he felt this wanted.

“How- how do you know I won’t ask first?” Buck asks, moving his head slightly closer to Tommy, just enough to look into his beautiful blue eyes. It feels surreal, talking about this, when they only dated for a few months, but it also feels… right. It feels like they’re on the right track to get there one day.
