Some notes:

Swing names are generalized based on the major events of that time period. For example, the North American Hard Court swing (NAHC) also includes Palermo in the point total.

Every player besides Krejčíková dropped at least one result. I calculated all points by hand and used the official ranking point totals to work backwards (i.e. if my total is 50 points higher than the official total, then I find the result they achieved that was worth 50 points and nullify that result). In some instances there were multiple tournaments with the same amount of points earned that could have been dropped. In those cases, I nullified the result which contributed less to its respective swing (e.g. subtracted Stuttgart rather than Berlin from Zheng's point total because she earned less points during the grass swing).

look. most people on tumblr, like most people everywhere, are just kind of innumerate, at least in slightly unexpected cases theyre asked to discuss on polls. they can't demonstrate an understanding of probability and they also don't understand compound interest. this is bad, but we can't fix it by explaining on the polls at length why they are wrong, because people on tumblr, in a specific manner but also still pretty much like people everywhere, think you are a fun-ruining evil stemlord who automatically loses the argument and should be put to death as the oppressor if you try to explain math to them

thinking about hag romance sparring 🤭 which I think is a very rare event bc god forbid astarion breaks a nail but in the off chances they do it becomes a matter of who fights more dirty bc shri’iia overpowers him in strength but he has faster reflexes and he’s very inclined to cheat. so then it becomes this fun little spar where it’s his dual daggers vs her one polearm, astarion always trying to disarm her by doing funky moves and distracting her vs shri’iia going for his shin and ankles so he trips over. then they forego the weapons and end up just rolling around the floor like kittens trying to pin each other down - which astarion does bc he has a secret third knife that he whips out and holds over her that forces her to yield and shri’iia’s like oh noooo u caught meeee. che..! whatever should I dooooo 🤭🤭😏😏 very quickly becomes foreplay and whoever was watching them spar is just like brother eughhhhh 😟😟😒😒🤢🚫🚫

I like the idea of shri’iia sparring w the other strong ladies and learning their fighting style #like lae’zel’s very disciplined style where her battle stances and forms are like perfect and calculated #vs karlach’s brute strength and finesse from fighting down the hells #n eventually shri’iia’s own style develops and adapts features she picked up from those ^ two #idt she’ll learn anything from astarion… she prob just enjoys rolling on the floor with him #I also like the idea of her duelling with wyll too I think that would b so fun #but wyll has honor and shri’iia has not so she prob cheats a lot in their duels loool #maybe he teaches her how to use a rapier….fun fact that was shri’iia’s og weapon n the reason why I made her a drow #bc of the rapier proficiency but then I changed it to halberd bc she looks nicer with it loool

Never ever EVER buy household appliances with ai in them. Most ridiculous things I’ve ever encountered

#to be clear i did not buy one but had to use one to do a load of laundry (who needs ai in a laundry machine??) and let me tell you it was #useless.#first the thing apparently ‘senses the dirty ness of your clothes to calculate the wash cycle’ which then would only ever decide to do a #cycle that took 4. freaking. hours. never have i encountered a washer that takes longer than an hour to wash your clothes.#and without the ability to manually say you want it to be a specific time? makes no sense. who has that kind of time in their day.#NEXT we go to dry the clothes and it also wants to run it for an insane amount of time. so we click it anyways (horrible decision)#and think oh we’ll just open it halfway through #well. upon stopping the cycle halfway through the damn thing says that the door is locked because it’s ‘too hot.’#never have i seen something that thinks i’m going to burn myself on my hot clothes. like cmon #also cause opening the door would be a surefire way to cool the clothes down you’d think??#so we try all sorts of troubleshooting things and even unplugging it and it STILL WOULDNT UNLOCK.#the damn thing is still locked btw. dunno if ill ever get those clothes back #so glad this at least isn’t actually a dryer we spent money on and just one that was here while we’re traveling and need to do laundry #but like. cmon #there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to decide how long to wash our clothes for and instead let a ‘smart’ (hint: it’s not smart) machine #do it for us #(hint part 2: this isn’t just about the clothes)#soni rambles #more like soni RANTS #i was already angry about the idea of ai in appliances but experiencing first hand how bad they are makes me even more angry #and a little scared for the future #now it’s 2am and the laundry is still stuck and im too upset to go to sleep. gah #and i don’t get mad easily.#oh and did i mention that to dry your clothes it wouldn’t let you select a temperature?? that it only said it would sense it itself??#see i like to dry all my clothes on low heat cause ive had a history of them shrinking #so not only are they trapped in the machine but it’s ‘too hot’ because it wouldn’t let us select a lower temperature.#luckily i didn’t put anything in that’s a material that usually shrinks

Idk too much about shipping in canada but is it possible to do some kind of deal where if someone gets one item they pay shipping too, and if they get two or more items they pay for half shipping? Or basically shipping would become cheaper/free for the customers the more items/bigger items they buy and you would only have to shoulder the full cost of shipping for your biggest orders?

Yes! I’m setting up my shipping on shopify later this week, and as long as I can figure out the logistics , of Course! You would NOT be expected to pay double shipping if you bought two items, that would be wild

#it’s sort of the Anne Elliot thing where she says I would so much rather see bursts of warmth of fury or delight #(or however it goes exactly)#than smooth calculation #or polished reactions #there is a certain kind of whininess (only a certain kind mind you) that holds sooooooo much more truth to me #than like. pre-packaged obvious wisdom #yes this is—as all things are these days—about Taylor at least in part #her ‘whininess’ has more love more range more depth more honest reaction to the human condition #than most of her peers’ songs expressing a ‘mature’ point of view #like I’m SORRY but you need to howl like a wolf at the moon sometimes #and if I haven’t felt your voice raised in plaintive longing and recognized the unmistakable ring of authenticity #nothing you say will resonate with me ever #it’s hard because I also think that rage and pain can be fake and put on. especially in the world of pop music #so I distrust a lot of stuff that sounds ‘raw’#but yeah.#sorry I am fighting many battles in my head about Taylor lately #years’ worth of pain and unexpressed feelings are coming to the surface #sorry I never run out akskkdjejejejej

i cant tell anyone how much i like numbers... they think oh you like math! no... i like looking at numbers and writing them... and counting them and making them... i dont care about math except in the case of using it For The Numbers... i get to add them and make a new number! or divide them and make lots of numbers... the number is the only important thing to me... i like them so much...
