I need people to realize how horrible 'stalking/constant surveillance/breaking into each other's homes is how the Batfamily show love' is. Like i really need someone to just acknowledge how horrific saying this bullshit is.

Like even fics where they're shown as happy and healthy and with good ties, you've always got this thing where none of them have privacy or any boundaries with each other. Which is directly antithetical to actually having good relationships. And this invasion via hacking and stalking and breaking into homes is portrayed as a positive, good thing; it's just how they show love and care to each other, after all. But for some reason I just personally don't find stalking, lack of privacy or boundaries, and emotional manipulation funny, endearing, or healthy, and just end up disgusted at the attempt to sweep it all under the rug.

haiii green back with another gender thought, realized that as boy as i may be i still exist in a transfeminine body and live a transfeminine life, even if i don't specifically identify as transfeminine i still exist in a tma space in the eyes of society, my gender as a boy doesn't really affect that much. the people who know me and treat me like a boy are not treating me like i'm tme they're just respecting me... so basically all the tmra boys are jealous of me, the one true trannyboy

#oh for clarity i'm green i'm one of novas headmates and ive been trying to understand my gender in relation to the body! system stuff yk #realized this cuz of novas genderfluidity #she was explaining that even when she feels like a boy there isn't an escape from being tma just from personal identity #it has more to do with a description of the body and society you exist in than any specifics to your identity #which makes sense why i didn't realize before #i was still operating in the 'trans women are only ever binary women' headspace forgetting that transfems are going to have complicated #relationships to gender too #but all those wrinkles never let them escape being tma #and yea i can technically stop fronting to avoid being treated transmisogynisticly that's like #telling a transfem she can avoid being harassed by dissociating #that's not actually the ability to opt out it's the ability to take gut punches and not feel it #idk i could be wrong and might change my mind as i learn more but #people were rly nice to me last time i posted abt this stuff so i figured id share 👉👈

I think I have rambled about them before so to spare you! A tl;dr version that you can also skip:

Shilva can turn into a dragon. Vikrahm goes on an adventure and meets Pops. Pops is a famous dragonslayer who refuses to tell anyone his name and never collects reward money unless needed at that time. Shilva and Pops get married. They both do not tell Vik his name though so he resorts to a threat and is shocked when it actually works. "I didn't expect to get this far idk what to do now" kinda vibes.

#my characters #tbh the first one was actually drawn during the art stream last night but I didnt post it #i figured i could post it with the big pic and then hate coloring so much i opted for just doodles today #also the siblings just both have purple tongues and fangs and are not vampiric or anything #they just got fangs because i like em aesthetically #vik is such a funny gremlin to me cause he just does not inform anyone he travels with that he is fireproof #and his bff mage buddy specializes in fire magic #and vik is like hey hey can you teach me some fire magic please i think itd be super cool #and he sucks at magic RIP #he barely makes a flicker but it does come in handy once #also when vik says hes gonna play fetch since he can shoot farther its because as kids #he learned how to shoot a bow in order to play long distance fetch with a dragon (his sister)#cause she basically got the zoomies and flying helped soooo long distance fetch #shilva is a bundle of sunshine and i love her #me patting pops on the head - this old man can fit so much trauma in his life #he can take a threat of being called big brother and say that is the straw on the camels back #hes suffered enough dont make him suffer that

It’s been really weird to see this website go from “trigger warnings are important to avoid mental health attacks from those with PTSD or OCD” to “trigger warnings are just an excuse to avoid the horrors of reality by the well off.”

I understand entirely what the second argument is getting at, because people absolutely use the phrase incorrectly to block out ideas or events that might upset them just a little (and should upset them!) but at the same time, now when I use this site, not only can I not brace myself for content that triggers my OCD but I also get double triggered by being told my want of triggers is a moral failing.

#actually ocd #ocd #obsessive compulsive disorder #nuance: I don’t think you can opt out of things because they’re upsetting it’s not healthy #esp when those issues are important #but I also think there’s a difference between opting out entirely and wanting to just have a heads up so you can take in #said important information in a way that’s not going to be maladaptive #this is not saying the people who make these kind of posts are wrong or bad as they are not talking about people like me and if they are #they have the right to do that #this is merely about watching the shift in discussion #trigger warnings

I decided to make a self-insert character for Magic: The Gathering! Meet Jasper Clark*, a planeswalker from New Capenna who's thrown their lot in with the Brokers and who has some...interesting features if you look too closely. (Cough, I used wolf teeth instead of human teeth, even if you can't see it in the snarl.) They're one of the best enforcers that Falco Spara has, though they're a lot more shady than most Brokers appear to be and have something of a chaotic streak. They wield fire magic first and foremost, though they naturally know law magic and shield magic thanks to their Broker training. No one is really sure where they got their sword, but no one's been brave enough to try and take it away from them.

In addition to New Capenna, they've ducked to a few other planes - such as Ixalan, Innistrad, and Kamigawa. Currently, they're doing work on Thunder Junction, because Spara has some reservations about a certain vampire lawman there...
