How I feel about this character: Yuujin is such a king... He has that particular appeal of the mature man who’s been through a lot and who saw everything, yet he never left any of it get to him but who, to the contrary, worked hard to do his best and make up for his mistakes... He did so much to help anyone he could help, he gave a second chance to both Kazuma and Iris, he raised Kazuma as his own son and if he could have, he’d have done the same with Iris too without any second thought ;; He knew he messed up badly when he left his newborn without going back to her for six years but from there onward he never missed a day of her life and had been always on her side, how many fathers go back to their children instead of choosing the easy way and totally disappear? He suffered a lot and he never meant to left Susato alone but he never justifies himself either... He’s not perfect but he does his best and I love him so much for this ;; whenever he’s needed he’ll be there, no wonder he’s the only person Sherlock trusts... It’s the unconditional love and trust he gives and inspires that made me fall for him

my unpopular opinion about this character: best dad of the series hands down, he made his mistakes but he's still #best dad (it's unpopular because it seems many people don't forgive him for having left Susato for six years and I get it but I disagree, what else does he have to do to prove he cares?)

one thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: I want the Mikotobas to be happy so I’m glad he and Susato reunited, now I want Kazuma to reunite with Yuujin too but also with Ryuu and it’s lovely to think of when it will be Iris and Sherlock’s time to go to Japan, the whole family spending their holidays in Japan is the sweetest scenario :’) 

my OTP: HomuMiko ;; It’s both so beautiful and bittersweet... It is a rare kind of otp, there’s so much to them both... they’re so complete because they had and have everything: the experiences, the adventures, the dancing together, the true friendship, the friends to lovers, the “opposites attract each other” a close bond of absolute trust affection and respect, the mutual understanding, secrets to keep together, the complicity, the partners in crime, the partners who resolve crimes, the domestic intimacy, the co-parenting... they’re the only otp that I consider truly #relationship goals (except the distance)... how their bond and affection never faltered even after ten years, how they went back to whatever they did after all that time as if not even a day has passed... the whole “I could fix him but whatever’s up with him is funnier” thing too...
