Anyone else grow up thinking that Bertha had a shiny Hippowdon because they didn’t know that it was a different color based on gender?

Tales from the Darkside Movie (Gargoyle Story with Johnathan or Risotto?)
Johnathan/Risotto falls madly in love with Darling (While he’s a statue, as he could only see Darling from where he was sculpted and placed)
However he comes to life and kills a man harassing her, telling Darling that she must swear to never tell anyone that she saw him (Darling swears she won’t tell anybody)
Darling encounters a huge man named Johnathan/Risotto who proceeds to help raise her Artistic Career and become successful (She’s very grateful to him as they even start dating and even got married)
Or maybe Diavolo and Doppio? (It would be interesting with since Darling marries Doppio, keeping Diavolo from taking over since he’s content *At the moment as he comes out when Darling’s asleep to touch her*)
However after 10 Years of Marriage on their anniversary, Darling finally reveals the truth to Love, only to be horrified seeing him turn into the monstrous Gargoyle that has been haunting her dreams for all these years (She was startled when she found out their child/ren also transformed into smaller gargoyles)
He doesn’t kill Darling, instead he snatches her up to take her away (Along with their child/ren) to somewhere abandoned to live their for all eternity
Or maybe he turned Darling into a Statue while their Child/ren turns into Gargoyles with him? That way he could preserve her for all eternity so she could never die and leave him
Ooh, you know this premise reminds me of a story about the Yuki Onna (which funny enough has a side quest associated about it in pokemon legends arceus)
This is hard to choose so I'm gonna go over both Jonathan and Risotto.
Tumblr media
Jonathan longed for darling. From were he stood atop the campus he could watch her for hours as she'd worked on her sketches. There was one time when she continued to glance up at him, if he'd had a heart it would have pounded tremendously each time their eyes connected with his.
If he hadn't been bound to the rock which he was carved from he would have... well he wasn't quite sure. Brush his fingers through her hair, lovingly embraced her, smothered her in kisses. How he daydreamed about it.
One night darling leave the campus late after using one of the studios for a project and is jumped, the guy demands she hand over her belongings while brandishing a knife. Jonathan witnesses this. He wished he could move, fly down and save her and he hadn't quite realized that he'd done just that until he heard a gasp from behind. Even he was shocked by what had just happened. He turned around to see darling on the ground with her hands supporting her.
She was shaking as she looked up at him with a horrified expression. He promises he won't hurt her as he offers his hand to help her up. She reluctantly takes it and pulls her up. He's awe struck by how warm her hand is, like a ray of sunlight.
"You won't tell anyone, promise?" He asks, unsure of what could happen if people found about him.
"I... promise" darling mutters shakily.
After he began fall for her even more. Yet he also felt ashamed of himself. You always averted your gaze from him(she's had constant nightmares of him). Was she so afraid of him. he was a freak of nature, a monster even.
What if he'd been human, would she have reacted differently. Human just like her...
After about a week or so word spread about one of the gargoyles on campus had disappeared, even the staff had no idea. She tried to not pay it much mind. Little did anyone know that the gargoyles longing had changed his appearance to that of a human and has been trying to learn human customs as best as he can (mainly through reading at the nearby library).
During a break at a Cafe darling is approached by a tall, built man in a button up shirt and knitted vest. He asks if she'd mind him sitting next to her and allows him.
He's quick to compliment her work and they have an engrossing conversation before she asks his name. For a few seconds he doesn't respond, he never had a name.
"Sir?" Darling asks. He finally responds.
"Sorry, My name is Jonathan Joestar" he introduces himself as.
She then asks for his phone number, he doesn't have one and makes up the excuse that his one was stolen. So she writes down her number and tells him to let her know when he gets a new one.
He manages to aquire one and gets in contact with darling. He practically becomes her biggest supporter, making it to every public viewing and helping her get her hands of pricey materials and supplies. Darling is always pointing out how cold Jonathan feels and insists that he wear warmer clothes in the colder months.
Eventually darling graduates and manages to get into her dream career. For awhile daring is busy but promises to see Jonathan at some stage.
Eventually they meet up and he quick to confess his feelings, darling accepts as she feels he's always supported her.
Fast forward to around 10 or so years later. Him and darling are married with kids. However their eldest George has developed two lumps on his forehead and is soon going in for surgery to get them removed. Which has both of them stressed (darling is worried they might be tumors while Jonathan fears they maybe horns).
After their anniversary darling has another nightmare about the gargoyle and confesses to Jonathan that she's had the nightmares because her encounter with a gargoyle. Unfortunately due to this Jonathan's form returns to that and begs darling to not look at him but it's too late. She sees the very gargoyle that has haunted her for years and immediately runs to grab their kids but is soon horrified that they too have become gargoyles. Jonathan tries to defuse the situation but the kids are frightened by him too. Darling is practically having a breakdown while their kids are trying to desperately get their mothers attention, convinced that this is all some horrible nightmare. How could her wonderful family become this.
Jonathan prepares tea for everyone and tries to explain (at least to the kids as darling is really going through the motions). Eventually Jonathan has the children on his side and he takes them all to a secluded cabin in the woods. Promising that they'll all be a happy family again, it'll just take time.
Tumblr media
Risotto has seen millions of people throughout his lifetime but for some reason he had an interest in darling. He wasn't quite sure as to why, he hadn't felt until that moment.
And when he saw her defenseless as a man held a knife to her in the dead of night he felt something boil inside him. The assailants head had been caved in he looked down at darling who was on the verge of tears. He could feel his chest tighten up.
"Never tell a soul about this" he told her, she could only respond with a head shake in acknowledgement before running away as fast as possible.
As as far as he knew you kept that promise, he'd catch you cautiously looking up at him whenever you walked in and out of campus. Until he suddenly disappeared.
"Hey you're going to Ayden's party, right?" A girl asked her.
"Yeah, it should a lot of fun" she responded. Unbeknownst to a white haired easedropper, he'd seen many pamphlets around for the event. It wouldn't have been worth his time, but she'd be there.
God those collage movies made sorority parties look like so much fun in comparison to actually being there. She was squished into a corner with a cup of cheep booze as she watched everyone around her slowly deteriorate into drunken messes. She had at least hoped she could find some like minded people to befriend but that didn't seem like a chance, until an unusual looking man stood next to her. Tall and built with platinum blonde hair and red irises against black sclera. He wore torn up clothes that screamed punk.
"Music major?" She asked him.
"No, I don't do college" he spoke in a monotone voice.
"Oh sorry, I've kinda made a game of guessing people's classes since this party been boring" you told him.
"No I get that, what's your name if you don't mind me asking" he asked her, after that the two had a long conversation until the sound of police sirens blared.
"Shit, we've gotta leave" she told him, apparently a big fight had broken out at the opposite end of the house. So the two of them ran out and eventually they headed out to a nearby fast food joint.
"I guess there was one good thing about going to that party" darling chuckled.
"And that is?" Risotto asked.
"Meeting you" she replied before taking a sip of her drink while opening her phone with the other.
"Here's my number" she continued as she slides her phone to him. Luckily he'd already acquired one.
So after that they kept in touch, little did darling know he was stalking her. Despite his rough and tough exterior he always offered an eye or an ear whenever darling had a problem.
After long enough darling gets her degree and begins freelance work and it's during an gallery open with their work that she finally tells him how she feels and his more than happy to hear darling pour her heart out to him.
A little over 10 years later, everything is perfect and they've recently had baby number 3. They celebrate their anniversary and enjoy the night but then darling wakes up from a nightmare of the gargoyle. Asks Risotto if she can tell anything and he'd believe her. He assures her he will. She confesses to what happened that night and he feels horrible, betrayed even that after all these years you'd break your promise but also how you described his monstrous form.
But he hadn't quite anticipated that his form would revert. Darling is horrorfied and tries to defend herself and something in him snaps. He grabs darling and without even realizing he turns her to stone. He's shocked and tries to find any sign that she's alive, hearing a faint heartbeat inside. He hadn't even realised how loud he'd been until one of the kids came in, they we're just like him now. They try to run but he scoops them up and tries to calm them.
He knows they can't stay like this, they have to leave and find somewhere safe.

Title TBD WIP
(Thanks to @yourlocalautist for writing a good amount of these, and helping me pick some things.)
Leo slowly faded back in as his head throbbed, groaning as he looked around at the group around him. He was in a horse-drawn cart, his legs tied together as he looked around to notice 3 others in the cart. He shook his head slightly, getting the one across from him to react. “Hey, you. You’re finally awake. You were trying to cross the dimensional hole, right? Walked right into Dusknoir’s ambush same as us, and that Vulpix over there.” The fairy said to him, gesturing to the other two occupants in the cart. Leo looked over at the annoyed Vulpx, who growled at the fairy.
“Damn you rebels. This place was fine until you came along. Dialga was nice and lazy. If they hadn’t been looking for you, I could’ve stolen that horse and been halfway to Capim town.” She turned to the Shinx. “You there, you and me, we shouldn’t be here. It’s these rebels Dialga wants.”
The Celebi gave a sigh and looked at her. “We’re all brothers and sisters and cuffs now, friend.”
Hold on, wait no this one ain’t it.
Okay…
In the beginning, when Arceus created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from Arceus swept over the face of the waters. Then Arceus said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And Arceus saw that the light was good; and Arceus separated the light from the darkness. Arceus called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
And Arceus said, “Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” so Arceus made the dome and separated the waters that were under the dome from the waters that were above the dome. And it was so. Arceus called the dome Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.
And Arceus said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so. Arceus called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And Arceus saw that it was good. Then Arceus said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation: plants yielding seed, and fruit trees of every kind on earth that bear fruit with the seed in it." And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed of every kind, and trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And Arceus saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.
And Arceus said, "Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for-” Wait, that’s DEFINITELY not it, Never mind, hold on.
Got it.
Once upon a time, a legend was whispered among gods.
It was a legend of hope. It was a legend of dreams.
It was a legend of Time. It was a legend of space.
This is the legend of the heroes of time.
For millennia, Time and Space have lived in balance,
Bringing peace to the World.
But if this harmony were to shatter...
a terrible calamity would occur.
The sky will run black with terror
And the land will crack with fear.
Then, Her heart pounding,
The Earth will draw her final breath.
Only then, shining with hope...
Three heroes will appear at World's edge.
A Human, A Thief, And a Monster chosen by fate.
Only they can repair the flow of time,
And banish the Eternal night.
Only then will balance be restored,
And the World saved from destruction.
Today, the great time gears-
The relics that give time form-
Remain safely within the shrines that hold them.
But recently, something has begun to break on the horizon.
And with it, the balance of Time and Space begins to shift…
No, that’s not how this one goes, I’m pretty sure.
Motherfucker, ok.
Violet groggily wakes up near an unfamiliar cliff. It takes her a second to realize she has been bound by her paws.
“You got what you were after, so pay up.” a rough voice yells. One she does not recognize.
“You’re crying in the rain, pally.” That one she does recognize. She looks up to see 3 figures in front of her.
“Guess who’s waking up over here…” another voice says in a malicious tone.
The man in the center drops his smoke and stomps it out. Violet knows him.
“Time to cash out.” Skuntank says, stepping forward.
“Can you get it over with?” Zubat speaks up to his right.
“Maybe some criminals kill people without lookin’ em in the face. But I ain’t a fink, dig?” He quickly silences him.
Violet can’t do anything but stare. Of course she’d end up like this.
Skuntank sighs.
“You’ve made your last delivery, kid.”
He pulls out the chip Violet was supposed to deliver herself.
“Sorry you got twisted up in this scene.”
He puts it away. And pulls a gun out instead.
“From where you’re kneeling, it must seem like an 18-carat run of bad luck.”
He points it at her.
“Truth is, the game was rigged from the start.”
That’s the last thing she could remember.
No, wait they didn’t have guns, shit.
Okay, how about this.
In the beginning, the world did not know heroes….
That was, until the humans arrived.
Each had their own method. Their own way of saving the world…
Ethan used his charm to talk his way out of trouble.
Violet used her power to bash through opponents.
Anna used her leadership to find a solution through teamwork.
Riley used his intellect to solve the puzzles ahead of him.
With the heroics done, the humans had solidified their powers…
Until one day, a challenger arrived to replace one of the humans…
Nope…. Not at all…
Sonofabitch. Okay.
A massive, pillar-like starship drifts through dark space, shuttled along by a pulsating nuclear engine firing out of the back end of the vessel. Long, rotating antennae spin idly as the craft moves along. A curved, hammer-like head resides at the front, much larger than the rest of the ship. The vessel is on its way towards a looming planet.
Chatter comes over the radio.
“We’re here, Captain. The distress beacon came from this exact coordinate.” A man’s voice comes through.
“This planet… it isn’t on any star maps we know. This area isn’t even on route…” Leo says, clearly nervous as to the impromptu rescue mission.
“Any visuals on the Contact Light?” Violet replies through her radio.
“No, ma’am,… just debris.”
“Any signs of survivors?”
“...No, ma’am, bioscanner is dark.”
Violetis silent.
“Ma’am… the distress beacon. It mentioned… it mentioned a lot. Monsters, and fighting, and…”
An eerie silence comes over the radio. Hesitation is clear in the man’s voice.
“...Ma’am… do you think we’re ready?”
No reply.
“Ma’am?”
Wait, shit. This series isn’t even in space… goddamnit, ok.
How about…
Humanity is dead.
Blood is fuel.
The Distortion World is full.
…No. Just no.
Alright.
This is the story of a Vulpix named Violet. Violet worked for a big guild where she was explorer number 427. Explorer number 427’s job was simple. She went to dungeons and completed jobs. Orders came through on a job board, telling her what dungeons to go to, how far to go in, and what objectives to complete. This is what Explorer 427 did every day, of every month, of every year. And while others might have considered it soul-rending, Violet relished every moment that the jobs came in, as though she had been made exactly for this job, and Violet was happy.
And then, one day, something very peculiar happened. Something that would forever change Violet. Something she would never quite forget. She had been at the job board for nearly an hour when she realized that not one single job had arrived on the monitor for her to follow. No one had shown up to give her instructions, call a meeting, or even say hi. Never in all her years at the guild had this happened: this complete isolation. Something was very clearly wrong. Shocked, frozen solid, Violet found herself unable to move for the longest time, but as she came to her wits and regained her senses, she got up from the board, and stepped out of the guild.
No, this one just never ends…
Fuck, alright. This has gotta be it.
Good evening, boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen. Turn the lights down low and shut your faces as I wrap you in the cozy blanket of a story. A story as heartwarming and soft as a mother's kiss. Or is it? Once upon a time, there was a boat, now, this wasn't just any old boat, children. It was a ship! A ship full of friends, hundreds of friends, best friends, one and all! A veritable friend ship it was… get it? But it wouldn't be very ladylike of me to forget to mention the most noteworthy friend on board, Dusknoir. Say hi to Dusknoir!
Dusknoir was like… king friend of friendship kingdom, best friend to one and all, and the walking definition of a handsome gentleman!
Now, one fine morning, Dusknoir and pals set out on a new, exciting adventure. What fantastic wonders would they discover this time? Perhaps they'd come across a scary ghost ship. Perhaps they'd find an island made entirely of candy! Perhaps they'd meet a band of scary, swash-buckling pirates! And join forces to find an island made entirely of candy! Who knew?
But it didn’t matter… so long as they were together, there were smiles to be had and adventures to be shared. Now, today t'was a day like any other adventure-y day. Spirits were uncrushably high. Everyone was singing and dancing and having a jolly time! When suddenly, the ocean was all like, "Surprise!" and a huge, massive storm brewed out of nowhere!
*Various whooshing noises* Boy, that was quick! *More whooshing*
And there was thunder, BOOM! And the lightning, BOOM! And the wind, *Even more whooshing* And like that, it was over. “Is everyone okay?” Said Dusknoir. "I don't know what I'd do if I lost even one of you!" Dusknoir continued. But the eye of the storm can be very misleading, children. NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON IT! Because the ocean was like "SIKE!" and the storm can back even bigger this time, twice as big! *too much whooshing* As if Poseidon himself extended his hand in friendship, and they spat in his mouth! *way too much whooshing* Boy, he was pis- he was mad! *whooshing even more,* And the rain came down like a shower of bullets, ahhh ahhh! and the floorboards were buckling and creaking, and pieces of their ship came raining down like shards of broken dreams, and then Chatot comes upstairs and he's all like, "I say, gentlemen, I do believe we are in quite a spot of bother!" and everyone was like, "Really?! What tipped you off genius?" and then Dusknoir was all like, "Hey, be nice!" *WHOOOSHSOJDBDB*
I don’t remember there being this much whooshing… No, that’s definitely not it.
Ok, here.
A nervous wreck of a shinx sits at a desk in a quiet, dusty office. A blaring fan obscures most other sounds under its unnaturally loud noise. But without it, the office turns into a goddamn oven, so what can you do?
Leo sighs and tries to relax himself. It doesn’t work.
It probably doesn’t help when the phone on the desk suddenly erupts into noise when it starts ringing. Leo jumps and falls entirely out of his chair with a loud shriek and a heavy thump.
He hastily scrambles back into his chair and misses the answer button on the phone a couple of times before settling his nerves enough to actually hit a single button. The phone clicks as the call comes through.
“Uh, hello?” The squawking voice of Chatot comes through the line. Leo sits back, comforted by the presence of someone familiar.
“Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night.”
Well, never mind then. He’s on his own.
“Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I’m finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact. So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you there's nothing to worry about. Uh, you'll do fine. So, let's just focus on getting you through your first week. Okay?”
Leo nervously looks around at the two gaping hallways on either side of him. The darkness seems to press in. He fidgets with the tablet that was laying on the desk, accidentally switching it on in the process.
“Uh, let's see; first there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm supposed to read. Uh, it's kind of a legal thing, you know. Um, "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering…”
Chatot keeps yapping through the microphone for a little while. Leo doesn’t really listen. He’s too busy flicking through an overview of the building. His eyes land on one of the cameras in particular. Several robots are displayed on the camera. Two in all on the stage.
“Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No.”
Wait, wasn’t there supposed to be three of them?
A clank can be heard directly to his right.
No, no, that’s just Freddy fazbear. Fuck. Ok, ok.
C’mon, this gotta be it.
“Rise and shine, Violet, rise and… shine.
Not that I wish to imply you have been sleeping on- the job; no one is more deserving of a rest, and all the effort in the world would have gone to waste, until… well… let’s just say your hour has… come again.
The right hero in the wrong place- can make all the difference… in the world.
So, wake up, Violet. Wake up and… smell the ashes.”
No, the G-man definitely wasn’t in this series, at least not directly… ok.
Ok. Here.
Violet wakes up in an unfamiliar, bright room.
“Hello, and again, welcome to the Aperture Science Computer-Aided Enrichment Center. We hope your brief detention in the relaxation vault has been a pleasant one. Your specimen has been processed, and we are now ready to begin the test proper.”
She looks around, straining her eyes against the white walls.
“Before we start, however, keep in mind that although fun and learning are the primary goals of all Enrichment Center activities, serious injuries may occur. For your own safety and the safety of others, please refrain from *KZZZZT* Por favor bordón de fallar Muchos gracias de fallar gracias. Stand back, the portal will open in 3, 2, 1.”
Unnerved, she notices as a colorful, bright orange-rimmed tear opens in one of the walls.
No, GladOS wasn’t either. Damnit.
Perhaps this one?
Long ago, two races ruled over earth.
Humans and pokemon
One day, war broke out between the two races
After a long battle, the Pokemon were victorious
They sealed the humans away in an air-tight bunker.
Many years later…
DARK FUTURE XXXX
Legends say that those who leave the bunker never return…
Wait, hold on, this isn’t even my own story!
Ok, alright, ok, alright.
Alarms blare as people scramble across metal floors to the escape pod bays.
“ATTENTION, HULL FAILURE IMMINENT. ALL PERSONNEL, ABANDON SHIP.” A robotic voice speaks through the intercom in an unsettlingly calm way.
Violet slides down the ladder to one of the escape pods and clambers into one of the chairs, locking it around herself. There’s no time.
The porthole to the pod locks and the pod is subsequently ejected from the ship above. Violet watches through the clear porthole as the Aurora explodes into a bright ball of fire.
Leo’s… probably fine.
She doesn’t have much time to dwell on that as a metal panel on the life pod wall comes loose inside the cabin, clattering onto the floor, scarily close to her as the pod enters the atmosphere of the planet below.
Don’t… she silently begs.
As if replying, the panel is lifted into the air once again by the velocity of the pod and clatters right back down directly into her face, knocking her unconscious.
Again, nothing to do with space… Fuck.
This?
War.
War never changes.
In the year 1945, my great, great, grandfather, serving in the army, wondered when he’d get to go home to his wife, and the son he’d never see.
He got his wish when the US ended World War 2-
Wait, WORLD WAR 2? THIS IS POKEMON! FUCK!
Oh, SHIT! I REMEMBER!
Okay, it was a cold day in Treasure Town, and

Behold, My Pokemon Legends Arceus Mc!!
So I will preface this by saying 3 things. 1) There are PLA spoilers, so if you haven't played the game all the way through yet, be wary. You were warned. 2) Do not tag this as Volo×Akari/Rei. This is my character, and don't count as the default protags. 3) Please don't comment with assumptions if you don't read the full thing. Thank you. Anywayss☆:
Tumblr media
Before i explain his personality, i just wanna say that i did experiment with my art style a bit with this. And i am so in love with it!! This took forever to draw and i am just so happy with it. Anyway, here's about him>
For starters: I named all my Mcs Kai, which is a bit of a problem lol. However i don't necessarily regret it, because i just love the name, and it makes me very happy(which may sound dumb but idfc). Pronouns are he/him, and has a very feminine appearance. A couple times he's been approached by straight guys, thinking that he's female, only to be shocked by his surprisingly deep voice. Every single character assumed he was a girl at first, with varying reactions when they realized he wasn't. His personality is quiet, but extremely flirty. This personality came about cuz i thought everyone in the game was fucking hot, so in battle scenes i would walk up to them and say 'muah' as a joke. While he flirts with practically everyone (not literal children or old people, calm down), and even kissed multiple people, Volo was the only one he actually loved. Now before you assume I'm shipping Volo with a child... My mc is in fact older than 15(the age you are meant to be in the game), though the scene where Cyllene says you look about 15 is still accurate because Kai is considerably small. Kai confessed to Volo not too long before his betrayal. And Volo still accepted his confession, despite knowing what he was about to do. Volo's betrayal was so heartbreaking for him and Akari did her best to comfort him. After getting over the original heartbreak, he claimed- in a strangely calm demeanor- that he'd kill Volo if he ever saw him again. Akari finds that worrisome but thinks it's best to just let Kai cope. More facts about his personality is that he can't swim and is absolutely terrified of the water in the beginning, though he eventually gets more comfortable around water. He also occasionally references things from the future finding people's confusion funny.
This is the only pokemon game so far that i didn't nickname my pokemon. But here's the team:
Decidueye♂️,Lucario♂️,Mismagius♂️, Murkrow♀️,Torterra♀️,Tentacruel♂️
Decidueye and Lucario are best friends. And i loved when my Decidueye was a Dartrix cuz he kinda matched the outfit, lol.
Anyway, if you have any questions about this, do not be afraid to ask. In fact, it's very encouraged, because i would love to be able to talk to someone about my art and headcanons. If you read all the way through, tysm!!☆
That is all

Identity Theft - a submas fic
I had a crack theory and it turned into a crack fic. Here ya go.
Summary: A story based on the events of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, except something's not quite... right. Seems there was a slight mishap when a certain amnesiac warden fell into Hisui...
Warnings: Some swearing. At the very end. I initially said there was a brief identity crisis then realized the ENTIRE FIC is one long identity crisis so plz forgive me
Pairings: none. especially not bl@nkshipping. blankshippers DNI!
AO3 Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/44985460
His name was Ingo.
When he’d first fallen, he’d woke in a strange land, confused, injured, and with no memories except his name. He’d been only half coherent, brain muddled with exhaustion and pain. They’d asked him his name, and he’d looked down at himself in a panic, taking a moment to center himself before he spoke the only memory he’d retained from his unexpected detour.
His name was Ingo.
He wore a black coat, with red accents and a blue band around the upper left arm. The hat that rested atop his head matched the coat, black with a red band and an odd emblem in the middle. Items of clothing that matched no other in Hisui, that made him stand out from everyone else in the region. Even the other clothes he’d been wearing when he fell had stood out from everyone else’s, an odd, white button-down shirt and black pants, accompanied by a pair of oddly shaped black shoes as well.
When he looked at the items, the name Ingo was always associated with them.
When he looked at himself in the mirror as he was wearing them, he saw Ingo.
And yet.
The name had never felt quite… right.
He had no justification for the feeling, no reason to believe that the only name he’d ever known since falling in Hisui wouldn’t be his own. The one time he brought it up with Lady Irida, it had only confused her beyond belief. Because how could his name not be Ingo?
He hadn’t brought it up with her again.
But the feeling never left him.
It wasn’t enough to derail him beyond function, so he had stopped thinking too much into it long ago.
As far as he or anyone else was concerned, he was Warden Ingo.

“Take care not to come uncoupled from me!” He called back to his young companion, the one he was guiding through Wayward Cave. The cave was, frustratingly enough, unlit, despite the dangers traversing through an unlit cave wrought for passengers unaccustomed to traveling through the area. He highly suspected Melli was at fault for removing them, but he had no basis for the suspicions, at least not of yet.
The young girl nodded, trailing only slightly behind him as she followed him through the cave.
“So you don’t remember anything from before Hisui?” Akari asked, clearly trying to prevent an awkward silence.
“Very little,” he admitted with a nod. “Though I will admit, leading a young companion through tunnels to safety… seems to ring some bells.”
Talking a lot always seemed to take a lot out of him, though he could never quite understand why. That was supposed to be his thing… right? Yet, it always felt like a chore, drawing out his words to the length he thought they were intended to be.
“Maybe this will help you remember some other things, then?”
He hummed, letting his thoughts wander, though he still kept a watchful eye out for danger. “Perhaps…”
Something, a vague, incomplete wisp of a thought passed through his mind, and he decided he may as well tell her about it, hoping it might lead him further down those tracks. “I recall, faintly, that I had a partner once…” Lightning danced across his mind, accompanied by dancing flames. “A precious one.” He initially felt pulled to the sparks, but no, that couldn’t be quite right. His partner was the one with purple flames, it had to be… “Its name escapes me, but I remember that it wielded flames with mastery. If only it were here, I’m sure it would light the way, luring us onward…”
Their path was impeded by an Alpha Crobat. He quickly rerouted, leading her down the other way towards the exit so they would not be forced to fight such a powerful Alpha in the dark.
“Have you remembered anything else?” Akari asked, looking at him curiously.
Anything else… yes. Another memory briefly flashed by, spurred on by the vague familiarity of traversing dark tunnels alongside another. “I’m starting to recall a man who looked… like me. We’d battle and discuss Pokemon, I think…”
Two scripts began warring in his head as vague battle memories flashed through, too scrambled together to be anything coherent. He was almost completely unable to get anything out of it, but then… “The words ‘I like winning more than anything else’ flashed through my mind just now…”
⇅ ⇅ ⇅
He stared in the mirror, frowning. Warden Ingo stared back at him.
Frowning, he had realized, took almost the same amount of energy out of him as talking so much did. He couldn’t quite understand. He was supposed to frown, it went right alongside his words and the black of his coat and hat.
So why did it feel so exhausting? Feel, so deeply inside, so wrong?
Without thinking too much, he allowed the corners of his lips to move, to curl up into a smile. It felt… right.
A stranger stared back at him.
It looked wrongwrongwrongwrongwrong
⇅ ⇅ ⇅
“Now then… Follow the rules and drive safely! We’re headed for victory! All aboard!”
The script felt right and yet still wrong as it came out. He knows he’s spoken these words before, but drawing them out, carrying them on this much, felt so wrong.
He didn’t quite understand. His brain kept telling him this was right. He was Ingo, was he not? He was supposed to be the one who talked a lot, who frowned, who expressed himself through words less than his face. Who wore black and battled with one Pokemon at a time (why wouldn’t he? One Pokemon at a time… that was how battling worked, was it not??)?
Who was he comparing himself to? Was there someone he knew back then, before Hisui, who didn’t do these things?
He didn’t have time to ponder these things, right now. He had a challenger- Akari was stood in front of him, her first time challenging him at the Training Grounds in Jubilife Village. He sent out his Gliscor, and she sent out her Samurott (who looked… different, somehow, than he expected. He isn’t sure what it was that he expected). She had been training hard, in the time since she’d closed the rift, trying to prove to Jubilife and to herself that she was worthy of the nine stars that adorned her scarf.
When she beat him, he wasn’t able to prevent his lips from curling into a more natural-feeling smile, even for just a few seconds.
⇅ ⇅ ⇅
He walked into the cave his Lady called her home.
He enjoyed spending time with Lady Sneasler and her kits, he’d soon come to realize after being appointed Warden. She was a wonderful distraction from the thoughts that plagued his mind, stopping him from constantly wondering who he was.
She didn’t quite have kits at this point, however. The eggs that laid comfortably in her nest were due to hatch any day now. Akari, who he’d surprisingly found himself growing closer to over the last few months, was beyond excited to see them after they hatched. She’d started calling him Uncle of all things, which felt strange yet still incredibly endearing. He hadn’t seen her for a few days, however, as she had told him she was heading out with Volo, one of the Ginkgo Guild merchants, to look into the local legends. She said she should be back in only three days.
Today was the third, and she had not shown up in Jubilife that day while he had been situated at the training grounds. To say he was worried was a slight understatement.
Lady Sneasler mewled contentedly at him as he entered, curled up near her nest as she watched her unmoving eggs. Well, not quite- one wobbled right after he thought that. A good sign! He hadn’t quite understood why helping his lady with her eggs felt so… right, to him. Like he’d done this before. But he never questioned it, just lent his assistance to his noble whenever the time for a new litter came around.
“No major changes?” he asked, approaching her nest. The eggs had been moving slightly for a day or so. Lady Sneasler shook her head, but didn’t seem worried. Things were progressing on schedule.
Suddenly, they both heard the frantic call of a flute from somewhere above the cave. He recognized Akari’s tune for Lady Sneasler almost immediately, and alarm bells went off almost immediately in his head. He’d never heard his niece’s playing sound like this.
Sneasler jumped to action immediately. He desperately wanted to accompany her, to see why Akari sounded so desperate- but he knew his Lady would feel a lot more comfortable if her eggs were not left completely unattended this close to hatching.
“I will make sure nothing happens to them,” he promised her as she nodded, knocking his hat over his eyes before taking off quickly.
His answers came not long after, as it turned out Akari asked Lady Sneasler to bring her straight to him for comfort. Volo had betrayed her, had turned on her as soon as she’d had the 17 plates he didn’t have and likely would have killed her if she hadn’t managed to scrape a win. His blood boiled with anger, but there was nothing to be done now. Volo had disappeared after his loss, and left her with the last plate she’d needed.
He hugged her close as she sobbed into his shoulder.
⇅ ⇅ ⇅
Akari was missing.
He had spent the last week or so frantically scouring every corner of Hisui for his niece, alongside what felt like the entirety of the Galaxy Team (and Irida and Adaman).
The last time he’d seen her, she had told him she’d almost completed the Pokedex, had only one more Pokemon left to catch. Arceus. Creator of all. She had been heading to fight it, had stopped to ask him a question.
“Do you… want to go home?”
He hadn’t given her a definitive answer and had spent the rest of the day pondering it (getting no closer to making a decision) before growing worried over the fact that he hadn’t seen her by the time night fell. He’d went back to Jubilife to see if she’d gone home, and Laventon thought she was with him.
She hadn’t been seen since.
He was beyond worried, had barely ate or slept as he helped search for her, only taking breaks to stop and refuel and recharge when his Lady physically forced him to. He could tell she was worried as well, but didn’t let that stop her from making him take care of himself.
It reminded him of someone. He wasn’t sure who, but more flashes of electricity and also soft yellow fabric danced through his mind.
Right now was one such occasion, as she’d forced him into her basket and brought him back to his tent to eat before he collapsed on her.
He was nibbling on an oran berry when he heard it.
The familiar pattering of running feet, but that wasn’t quite all, there were… multiple sets?
All he knew is one belonged to his niece, and he leapt up and threw the door to his tent open as Akari launched himself into his arms.
“Uncle!” she cried happily, throwing her arms around his neck.
“Akari! I was so worried!” he exclaimed, relief exploding through him.
“I’m so sorry I disappeared, Arceus accidentally sent me back home before I was ready, but you’re never gonna believe who I found and brought back to Hisui with me!”
“Who?” he asked curiously, setting her down.
“EMMET!”
…
“Emmet, why are you wearing my pants?”
Emmet looked down, coffee in hand, still waking up. “Ah! It would seem I grabbed the wrong pair.”
Ingo snorted, grabbing a tie and throwing it around his neck. “Well, you’ll want to change quickly, so we still make it in to the station on schedule.”
Emmet stood to change, then had a mischievous idea pop into his head. His smile turned sly as he leaned over and pulled Ingo’s hat off his head, putting it on his own.
“Or maybe I will go as Ingo to work today!”
Ingo looked exasperated as Emmet snickered. “We are not swapping places again today.”
“Aw, but why not?” Emmet made his way over to the coatrack, grabbing Ingo’s coat and throwing it over his shoulders with a dramatic flair.
“We have never been able to pull off a successful swap ever in our lives,” Ingo pointed out, walking over to snatch his hat back. “Mostly because someone can’t be loud enough to save his life.”
“Says you who can’t be quiet enough to throw suspicion!” Emmet countered, pulling Ingo’s shoes on. He threw his arms up in a mirror of his own normal pose, raising his voice as loudly as he could get it to go as he yelled,
“ALL ABOOOOARD!”
It was not nearly as loud as Ingo’s, and he even heard his voice crack. Ingo snorted, and it quickly turned into laughter. “See?! Case in point!”
Emmet pouted, but the mischievous light refused to leave his eyes. “Well, let’s see what the depot agents have to say about your theory!” He threw the door open. Ingo rolled his eyes.
“Well, don’t blame me when you get caught in less than a minute.”
Ingo headed back down the hallway as Emmet cackled and walked out of the door to make his way to work ahead of his brother, who clearly was not going to play along. He could at least have a little fun before his brother inevitably joined him there and brought his harmless ruse to light.
Unbeknownst to either of them, Emmet would never make it to the station.
…
A man, frowning, in a black coat and hat and slacks and shoes, stood in front of him, looking like he was about to completely fall apart.
“Ingo,” Emmet breathed, realization and subsequently, memories crashing over him like a tsunami.
Ingo broke, throwing himself at Emmet, who was more than happy to catch his sobbing brother in his arms. He soon found himself joining him in his cries as memory after memory of his twin brother played through his mind, memories of the subway, of their beloved partners (his first partner was Eelektross, not Chandelure, the lightning that he had recalled suddenly making much more sense), of their friends and family. The two of them collapsed to the ground in each other’s arms.
“You’re alive,” Ingo sobbed, clutching Emmet close. “I was so scared, Emmet, I thought I had lost you, that- that you’d-”
“I’m alive,” he whispered, holding Ingo just as tightly, his quiet voice making sense to him for the first time in years. “I’m here, Ingo, I’m here. I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to leave.”
“I know, it’s not your fault, Dawn- er, you still know her as Akari- explained everything she could. I’m just so relieved. I missed you so, so much.”
They didn’t move for several minutes more, until they both had calmed enough to break from their hug, but they didn’t move far. Emmet held his brothers trembling arms as Ingo cupped his face, the two of them touching their foreheads together.
“So, I guess you’re Uncle Emmet now, huh?” Akari piped up. Emmet looked over at her with a smile on his face (it felt so much better, so much more like himself), and nodded.
“Though I guess you do still have an Uncle Ingo, if that’s what you want.”
⇅ ⇅ ⇅
Explaining the situation to everyone in Hisui had been an… odd experience, to say the least. Lady Sneasler at least didn’t seem to care, more interested in the new coat he wore (Ingo had brought his regular white coat for him, which Emmet felt so much more at home in) and the identical man in black who refused to leave his side. She could tell them apart with ease, which didn’t surprise him much. For his team, it was much the same.
Lady Irida and the other Pearl Clan wardens had been confused, to say the least. It had required quite the explanation to fully get across to them that the man they had known as Warden Ingo for the last four years was, in fact, named Emmet, who had remembered his brother’s name before even his own. But eventually the point got across, and it especially helped having Akari there to back them up. The Galaxy Team and Diamond Clan had, at one point, just decided to stop questioning it and just go along with it.
At the very least, it had been easy to prove that Ingo wasn’t a Zoroark.
Being called Warden Emmet was odd. But in a verrrrrry good way. He definitely was struggling a bit with identity, having grown so used to accidentally pretending to be his brother for four years. But Ingo was helping him to remember what being Emmet meant, and he was most certainly happier than he’d ever been before in Hisui.
And as more and more of his memories returned to him, he quickly grew more and more homesick for the life he’d left behind when he disappeared. He had a whole team of Pokemon waiting for him, dozens of Joltik who Ingo had spent so long caring for in his absence. Elesa, Uncle Drayden, and Iris waiting to welcome him home with open arms. An entire subway full of trainers stronger than he could ever have imagined in Hisui.
He missed it so, so much.
So it was to no one’s surprise when he decided, only days after Ingo had appeared in Hisui, that it was time for him to go home. Akari- who also had not been going by her real name in Hisui, he’d discovered, and was actually named Dawn- had already had her happy reunions with everyone she’d left behind, and had only come back to Hisui to help Ingo get there and to reassure everyone there that she was okay, that she had found her own true home again.
Lady Irida had taken his resignation better than he expected, admitting she knew that it was an inevitable possibility. She saw no reason to prevent him from returning to his own space when he so clearly longed for it.
Lady Sneasler had promptly decided not to accept his resignation at all, and decided she was, instead, coming along with him, along with three kits from her most recent litter. She handed her title down to her eldest child.
Emmet vehemently refused to admit he had cried a bit when she had told him. Leaving her was going to be the hardest part of leaving Hisui, and now he didn’t have to!
After that, he’d only had a few scarce goodbyes to say, his Hisuian team also deciding to join him even after he gave them all the opportunity to stay behind with Zisu (the third hardest goodbye out of all of them).
Then, as soon as he was ready, with Ingo and Dawn by his side, Arceus sent them all back home.
⇅ ⇅ ⇅
“YOU ABSOLUTE FUCKING DUMBASS!”
This was exactly the reaction he had been expecting from Elesa, Emmet realized, as she threw her arms around him, and he snorted as he returned her embrace, holding her tightly and not even trying to stop the tears that formed in his eyes. This was the reunion he was most looking forward to.
“You scared the shit out of us, you asshole,” she sobbed. “Don’t ever do that to us again.”
“I won’t. So long as I have any say in it. I promise I won’t.”
⇅ ⇅ ⇅
His Pokemon had been left in Elesa’s care while Ingo had gone to find him, he found out. Elesa, much more calm than she had been not even thirty minutes ago, handed him one Pokeball in particular with a soft smile. He cradled the ball carefully, eyes shimmering as he let his beloved partner out.
Eelektross spun on him, screeching with joy as it slammed into him, wrapping its body around him in its own version of a desperate hug. Emmet curled around the Pokemon. “I missed you, too,” he whispered.
⇅ ⇅ ⇅
“So you ended up in Ancient Sinnoh, with no memories, except Ingo’s name?” Drayden’s eyebrow rose. “Because you were wearing his coat and hat when you disappeared.”
“Yup!” Emmet popped the p. At his side was a very clingy Iris, who he had one arm around. His other hand was in Ingo’s, as it had been for most of the last week or so.
Elesa buried her head in her hands. “I cannot believe this. You two are so identical, you mistook yourself for Ingo. Despite remembering nothing about him or yourself.”
He looked at Ingo with a smirk on his face. “See? I told you I could pass as you if I really wanted to.”
“NO ONE IN HISUI KNEW EITHER OF US BEFORE YOU FELL THERE.”

so if emmet were to get sent to a another universe outside of pokĂŠmon (like fire emblem, legend of zelda or yo kai watch for example), how would he react? (when i first saw ingo in legends arceus, i though, "this guy looks familiar" then i realized, "oh my god! that's ingo from black and white and black 2 and white 2! what's he doing here in huisi of all places? poor ingo he has amnesia" design cool) what your reaction to seeing ingo in legends arceus?
Thanks for your message!
As a premise, I am allowed to draw fanart, and I place great importance on the official setting. I also believe that deviating from the official setting is the best part of creating secondary works, but at least I don't openly deviate from the official setting in any way.
Based on this, I would like to answer that even if Emmet were to fly into another world, such as the one mentioned by Emmet, the example of Ingo in LA shows that Emmet's fundamentals will never waver. That is, they love railways, battles, always have a smile on their face and they take everything seriously. This is a character trait that Ingo has in common, but it is a character trait that is only really effective in adversity, and there is no doubt that he will be able to get around in any environment (whatever the time period or culture). And conversely, Emmet (and Ingo) believes that in the PokĂŠmon world, his love of trains and battles has only led him to become a Subway Boss(es). The proof is in the pudding, as Ingo has gone to LA, a different time and culture, and has risen to one of the heights that can be reached in that world.

btw i still think theyre going to do unova remakes this year. for a second there i wavered a bit since i realized they could do something with johto first (hgss is older than gen v after all) but i think after indigo disk bringing unova back into the spotlight, it makes more sense to keep that going right into the next game (and there's no pattern yet for second-round remakes, since we've only gotten lgpe. could be total coincidence they did kanto again before sinnoh)
as for whether the remake will even be any good? idk lol. maybe they'll get ilca to do the bare minimum again. or maybe they'll decide not to after how much of a mess bdsp was (i feel like theyd rather not have to come up with special rules for pokemon home transfers again)
and to me legends arceus was one half of the sinnoh remake (the part where they add a lot of new stuff and bring newer pokemon to the region, which bdsp lacked) so they could do another legends game. they could continue the trend of focusing on a mythical and maybe do genesect or victini, or maybe base it on that merged dragon legendary we never really saw? idk
really hope though that they just... do a normal remake again. recreate the world and story of the original game, yes, but add to it. let us have pokemon that didn't exist when the originals came out, add new pokemon forms, etc. i really miss the old remakes being in the same style as the brand new games of the generation and able to communicate with each other, instead of this thing theyve been doing since lgpe where everything is in a weird bubble by itself
at the same time though i liked legends arceus and it'd be nice to see something like that again. my theory has been that it came about because game freak maybe got a little too ambitious working on a more traditional sinnoh remake (trying to work something like the wild area into sinnoh, maybe settling on making five of the areas more open, and ultimately deciding it was too different--or had some ideas to make it even more different--and spinning it off into something new while hiring ilca to cover the expectation for a "normal" remake since they'd be abandoning that)
and now, after having already done the split-model remake with bdsp and legends arceus, would they do the same thing again? i think with scarlet and violet's open world, having it be similarish to those games probably won't happen (also they absolutely wouldn't have terastalization and tera raids--if blueberry academy is in unova and has a special tera orb to enable all of that, that means it isn't in the rest of the region). but they could still have it be more linear while being stylistically similar to sv, as opposed to what bdsp did
ANYWAY how about this actually: have the type of remake we got with frlg/hgss/oras (where there's plenty of new stuff and you can get pokemon that didn't exist in the originals) and then throw in some kind of Dream World inspired side story area with legends arceus mechanics. that would be really cool
.......also there's the whole question of like. what the fuck are they gonna do about bw2. those games went above and beyond the usual third version deal. different story, different starting area and map progression, different protagonists. they can't simply tack on some alternate clothing options and throw in the kyurem/kami/etc forms and call it good. that would be unacceptable
would they put both games in one? would they sell the second as dlc? would the paired games, instead of black remake and white remake, be bw remake and bw2 remake? (would that even work?) or would they really just ignore bw2 as much as possible? honestly with the way game freak's been these days i feel like that might be most likely unfortunately
for the past few years ive been wanting to replay gen v, but with these remakes coming... well, in the past i've replayed rs before oras and played yellow before lgpe, and that was fine, but when i replayed platinum before bdsp came out it just felt like i was playing the same game again except worse. like i think i'd rather have played bdsp and then platinum. so i'll wait until after the remakes before doing that i think (or at least until we have an idea of what we're getting) (not that i think i'll have time to get around to playing those before then anyway)

September 2023 Shiny Pokemon Log
I got back into shiny hunting this month. I have caught 9 shinies this month and 1 more at the end of last month. That's a new record for me :)
Tumblr media
I got mostly bug types which was unplanned lol.
I only played Legends Arceus (LA) and Violet this month. I'm going to go over it all in order found. Open if you want to read more!
First, I'm going to answer the question
Which Pokemon Should I Use?
In LA, I just chuck pokeballs at the little guys until they are caught, so there is no strategy there LOL.
My trusty partner for Violet has been Breloom. Named after Sister Minnie, the internet cat that will unsubscribe you. Breloom will destroy all of your pokemon. With false swipe and spore, she can easily get anything to its highest catch rate. Max EVs in HP and Attack (+ 6 in Speed) allow her to be bulky and much more powerful than most wild pokemon. She is holding a poison orb to activated her ability poison heal. The constant healing keeps her alive almost indefinitely with no effort on my part. She is the only pokemon in my party 90% of the time.
Also I love Breloom in general. Look at that hat! So cute!

Gallade 8/27/23
Tumblr media
I was stuck at home and sick in august so I started casually looking for shinies in LA to have something to do. I didn't have a target for this and I wandered around all the maps aimlessly. After a while I Ended up in Alabaster Icelands during a Massive Mass Outbreak. This guy spawned after a Kirlia outbreak ended. Despite not being the full 1/4096 odds, It was my first hunted shiny in this game so I like Moose a lot!
At that point, I had not done any research on how to shiny hunt full odds in this game. Now that I know more about the game, I think that on my save file it is impossible to get full odds on every pokemon at this point. I don't think that I will start a new save to make it full odds huntable, just because it sounds like too much of a hassle for such a casual game. If you want to make your file of LA full odds compatible, check out this video from Absolblogspokemon:

Applin 9/10/23
Tumblr media
So A few days before this, I started a hunt for Rellor. I then had the idea from a youtube short to catch a shiny applin before the Teal Mask DLC launched so I can immediately have a shiny Dipplin. I dropped everything to go to Tagtree Thicket. I made a sandwich with level 2 Dragon encounter and would just reset after 30 minutes when the sandwich ran out. After a day, I found Candy! When the DLC dropped, the first thing I did was find the Syrupy Apple item and evolved her. I was so happy with this Dipplin shiny, so worth it!
Tumblr media
Buneary & Kricketot 9/11/23
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After doing some research on hunting in LA, I went back to play before the Teal Mask DLC released. I wanted to catch an alpha shiny of some kind.
After only a few laps around the Obsidian Fieldlands, I see Buneary. satisfied with finding a shiny so fast, I finished up my lap around the map and get Kricketot too! I was amazed that I got 2 in a single run. I still wanted a shiny alpha, so that concluded phases 1 and 2.
I also saw this cat stuck in a tree
Tumblr media
Combee & Shinx 9/11/23
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After wandering around all day, I figured out that I wanted to target Alpha Heracross. I stopped searching the entire map and only ran over to the Heracross and then would leave the map to respawn the pokemon. I only realized I should do this near the end of my third phase, where after 2 trips, I get a female shiny Combee!! So cool! 2 trips after that find, I get Shinx as the first pokemon seen on that trip! It was an exciting 20 minutes lol
and yes, this is what my Shinx is named after
Tumblr media
Munchlax 9/14/23
Tumblr media
Yes, this is the gift Munchlax from beating the hard mode of Ogre Oustin. Yes, I am counting it to show off I beat the hard mode of Ogre Outing. It was so annoying until I learned that there are people online that also wanted to play LOL. Then it was pretty easy to win, I think it was my second or third match. I do not like that minigame, but I guess I need to play it more if I want the mochis.
Tumblr media
Heracross 9/17/23
Tumblr media
After getting the Kitakami national dex to get the tera shard charm, I was bored with the DLC, which sucked because I wanted it to be interesting. While looking for something to do, I saw a Heracross outbreak on the edge of the town in Kitakami. I knew that would be a super fast hunt and jumped at it. And it was! It was full odds too, so I didn't KO any pokemon in the outbreak, I just entered and exited the town to despawn and respawn the pokemon. While I still don't have an alpha shiny Heracross, Pepto Bismal here is pretty cool too.
Spidops 9/23/23
Tumblr media
Paintball was completely random lol. I realized that despite having done everything else in the main game, I forgot about the sealed pokemon. While running around the map pullling stakes, I spotted this guy and was like, "That's a weird Spidops...OH!" It's pretty interesting looking so I can't complain lol.
Rellor 9/24/23
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After starting and forgetting about this hunt, I returned to the desert and found shiny Rellor. I also learned that I'm terrible at making sandwiches. Trying to make a bug Encounter Level 3 sandwich is the worst! The cherry tomatoes are not your friend!
The ingredients are:
6 cherry tomato
3 Potato Salad
3 Curry Powder
1 Bitter Herba Mystica
This makes a sandwich with bug encounter level 3, Title power Bug Level 3, Item Drop Steel Level 3.
To test out sandwiches, I used this simulator!
I started off by using level 2 encounter sandwiches, but then changed my mind. It took an hour to get the level 3 sandwich right. I was about to give up and stick to the level 2 sandwiches until my partner said they wanted to try making the sandwich. They made it 2nd try! I was so jealous lol. Then I found the Rellor 5 minutes into the sandwich so that was lucky. I looked for Larvesta until the sandwich was over, but didn't get any other shinies, booo.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
This was a good shiny month for me! It was really fun hunting in Violet, despite the horrible lag. The lag was almost unplayable at times and kinda made me sick at some points. That makes the game hard to play, but the fast phases make it worth it. I think I will start a hunt in the older games next month. I am going to buy a charger for my DS Lite so I might start a dream team quest in Emerald or Black 2. We will see! I still need to get alpha Heracross too. Rumble Weekend is next week, so I will post about that when It happens! I have never participated in that before so it should be fun!
Thanks for reading! I don't think anyone will ever see this post, but I wanted to start making blog posts like a diary for my games and other media like books. I want to treat the media I interact with as more than something I'll forget about in 2 weeks. I feel like I'm stuck in a cycle of sleep, work, eat, repeat. These posts will be a reminder that I am having at least a little fun every now and then. So yeah, hi future me, enjoy yourself!
Bye for now!

September Selfship Prompts Challenge
29. Free day!
Pairing: Adaman/Rachel during Legends: Arceus (spoiler alert for really far along in the timeline)
Author's note: Clue and Hint are OCs that belong to my buddy @kammyclues

“Are you feeling okay, Rachel?” She awoke to a constant queasiness. It made her unmotivated to eat anything out of fear of not being able to keep it down, and clearly Cedric was worried. She wasn’t sure where this came from or what was wrong. She didn’t feel sick otherwise, she was just a bit nauseous.
Getting up and walking, she very quickly realized that she would not be able to do much or even any survey work, today. She was definitely too sick to work. Hopefully Captain Cyllene would be understanding. “Yeah, yeah…I’m just gonna…take it easy, today.”
Putting on her everyday kimono, Rachel hobbled towards the door in her sandals, Cedric having hopped onto her shoulder. Not only could he feel the discomfort and uneasiness from his trainer, but there was a strange scent around her that he couldn’t identify. She seemed different, but he couldn’t place why.
          It was definitely strange.
Hobbling out the door, she weakly greeted any of the villagers that passed by. Rachel hated that they could immediately tell that something was wrong with her. There was no doubt that they were concerned about her, but she just really didn’t want to deal with people, right now.
Walking into the Galaxy Hall, Rachel walked forward into her captain’s office and before she could even say a word, Cyllene interjected her thoughts. “You don’t look well.” She commented idly.
“Shit…is it that obvious?” Stupid question, of course it was. “I woke up feeling pretty nauseous, so I don’t think I can work, today. I’m sorry, captain.”
“Understood. Take it easy and please take as much time as you need to recover.” Captain Cyllene replied, not even missing a beat as she went through papers on her desk. “If you need any medical supplies, please visit the Medical Corp for anything you may need.”
Maybe she’d consult them for painkillers or anti-nausea agents if it got bad enough. “Thank you, Captain.” Rachel said, taking her leave and clutching her stomach. She didn’t want to stay in her lodge today. It wasn’t like she had a lot of things to entertain herself on her own time. And she couldn’t really go out and do her usual leisurely activities when she was out on her own.
And as much as Rachel enjoyed her workshop, she really didn’t feel like going there, either.
Maybe she should just do nothing and get some fresh air. Prelude Beach is pretty far from everyone…maybe I can go there and relax for a bit and hope this’ll go away. After all, she could even let her Pokémon out to roam and relax for a bit away from the village.
As Rachel hobbled away, clutching her stomach with Cedric worrying on her shoulder, one of the Pearl Clan’s wardens was observing from afar. He had recently begun to station himself at the battle arena run by the Security Corp’s captain, Zisu, to challenge people with more challenging battles. Ones more reminiscent of his time and his world.
Ingo was a faller, much like Rachel. In-fact, she seemed rather familiar to him, if incredibly vaguely. But he was still worried when he saw her. She looked like she was off. “Zone out for a bit, did you there, Ingo?” Zisu asked, the tall and rather muscular woman warmly asked, interrupting the man’s thoughts.
“Just noting a few minor safety concerns with Miss Rachel, is all.” Ingo replied, tipping his hat politely to her. It was one of the things that still connected him to where he came from, to his memory. It was torn a bit, some of the stuffing sticking out, but he had never felt inclined to repair it, or his jacket. Somehow he felt that if he did, he would have a more difficult time remembering. “She looks like she’s ill and I’m worried she’ll neglect her health. Although she is very competent when working with Pokémon, she seems to have a habit of pushing her engine beyond its limits.”
Following his line of sight, Zisu followed Rachel’s walking path until she saw the woman emerge close to the gate on the other side of the village. “Well, it looks like she’s just heading to Prelude Beach.” She commented, hoping to ease some of Ingo’s worries. “So, at least she isn’t far if something happens to her.”
“Mm.” The man hummed. He kept a hold on his hat. It helped him centre his thoughts and think clearly. He didn’t want her to potentially collapse in the sun. She had woken up rather late and the sun had just passed its highest peak. It wouldn’t be good for her to be out in the sun if she were ill.
Zisu could tell that Ingo was still worried. So, she gently place a hand on his shoulder. “Hey. If you need to go check on her, go ahead. I can hold down the fort on my own.”
Glancing up at her, Ingo nodded gratefully. “Thank you, Miss Zisu.” As he looked towards where he saw Rachel go, he began to walk away. “It seems an engine check will be necessary.”
As he followed her walking path, it was rather easy to find her. She didn’t go very far and her Pokémon were all out of their Pokéballs. The woman had found a shaded tree to sit beneath, her Zorua in her lap. Cedric, his name was. The rest of her Pokémon, while they were trying to enjoy the fresh air and the open space, they were all hovering a distance from their trainer. They seemed to be just as concerned about her as he was.
Approaching, Ingo tipped his hat to his friend, noticing that she was on the verge of dozing off. “Don’t be lulled asleep by the afternoon sunshine.” He said, waking her from her groggy exhaustion. It was easy to see that she was not well and it only added to his concern. “I believe it’s time to start up your engines and get back on track.”
Rachel groaned. She knew Ingo was right, but she just felt awful and the meditation outside wasn’t helping much. As much as she appreciated the concern of all of her Pokémon, it was getting to be a bit much. They were all acting a bit weird and she couldn’t figure out why. When she pressed them for an answer, none of them had one.
All they could give her was that she ‘smelled odd,’ whatever that meant. “I don’t feel well, Ingo…” She admitted, hunched over her own stomach. It felt like she was getting worse and she wasn’t sure what to do about it.
While Ingo was concerned, he didn’t want to push her, either. If she wasn’t feeling well, he needed to be gentle with her and take it slow. He needed to go at her pace. “Shall I delay departure?”
Ingo’s strange phrases and parlance confused many people in Hisui, but they somehow made perfect sense to Rachel. It was very easy to understand what he was saying through context. Sometimes it seemed that they understood each other better than anyone else understood them, but outwardly, Rachel was the less odd one…somehow.
She shook her head, standing up and still clutching her stomach tightly. “No, no. I’m not, like…sick. Just a bit nauseous, but it’s probably nothing.”
As though the universe sought to prove her wrong, she suddenly felt a sickly gurgle in her tummy that rose up and immediately, her gag reflex activated. She couldn’t stop it, and she had no choice but to throw up the few contents in her stomach that were there. She swiftly turned away to throw up behind the tree.
The sickly retching noises were further cause for concern for Ingo, but he knew well enough to know that sometimes throwing up could alleviate the sickly feeling, depending on what was causing the nausea. He had a vague memory of struggling with it when he was a child. Motion sickness, he was pretty sure. But from what, he couldn’t remember and he knew he no longer struggled with it, now. “I believe a track change will be necessary.”
Once she was done throwing up, Rachel stood up, breathing heavily. She hated the feeling of throwing up and she couldn’t stand it when other people vomited. It was one of the few things that viscerally made her feel ill just by proxy. Her Pokémon were all worriedly crowding around her, but she waved them all off.
Admittedly, she did feel better after throwing up, but maybe sitting outside wouldn’t be much help. Hint does have some good teas…I think she has one for stomachaches. Maybe she has something for nausea. “Could I ask you to escort me to Hint’s home?”
Ingo nodded, tipping his hat. She was a dear friend to the both of them and he couldn’t think of a safer place close by for Rachel to go other than the village itself. “Of course. I’ll be happy to ensure your safe arrival to your destination.”
“Thank you, Ingo.” Rachel replied, picking up Cedric and summoning her Pokémon back into their Pokéballs.
Nodding, Ingo suddenly went rigid and performed his signature pose, his right hand pointing forward and his left hand stuck out to the side and his hand pointing down. “All aboard!”
Rachel couldn’t help but chuckle. Of all the friends she had made in Hisui since her arrival, Ingo was the only one who truly understood her. They understood each other. Not only because they were both from a time and place not here, not only because they both lost their memories (Rachel having regained most of hers, with some gaps in-between), but because they both had their unique quirks. They understood each other. Ingo didn’t need anyone to translate for him or try to ‘act normal’ around her.
And she didn’t need to do the reverse. She could trust him fully.
Ingo and his Pokémon – namely his Alakazam and his Gliscor – kept a sort of bodyguard over both of them as they walked north towards Hint’s retreat. Not that Rachel was concerned, but her Pokémon insisted on protecting her just as fervently. So, Vendetta, her Zoroark, and Stormfast, her Samurott, both volunteered to be Rachel’s protection on the way there.
Thankfully, the nausea was no longer overwhelming like before. It was still there, somewhat, but it was incredibly mild compared to what it was initially. She did have a stomachache, though. Hopefully Hint would have something for her. She somehow always expected Rachel and knew what to put on for her before she even asked.
Psychic powers, she supposed. She reminded her so much of Clue…maybe she could bring him some tips on how to control his and manage them better. “Shall we get off, here?”
Rachel nodded, smiling warmly at Ingo. “Yeah, I think I’ll be okay, now. Thank you for the escort, Ingo.”
He tipped his hat. “It was my pleasure, Miss Rachel. If you need me again, come by my station.”
Nodding again, Rachel waved him off, making her way past the flower fields towards the house. It was built in the same style as the ones in Jubilife Village, which she did ask about out of curiosity. Hint used to live in there along with everyone else, but because of her oddities and her struggles with boundaries, she was not so subtly asked to move away to ‘survey’ this area and was given the materials to live there permanently.
A rather hurtful thing to do, but she pretended to play dumb and she seemed happier, now. There was a great deal of freedom to her lifestyle and she didn’t have to worry about accidentally putting anyone off in her own company. Besides, whoever came to visit her came because they wanted to, not because they felt obligated to.
Walking along the aromatic field, Rachel smiled at the little honeycombs left out for the Bug Pokémon to attract to, rather than Hint’s home. She was afraid of them, and Rachel took what Clue taught her and passed it on.
How strange that they were so alike, and yet so different. Even though Clue had his mask on most of the time, Rachel saw Hint’s smile in him. He creased his eyes the same way she did when he smiled. It was a warming feeling…to think that someone could echo through the ages in such a way.
She needed to tell him when she saw him again.
“I would say I wasn’t expecting company today.” Her airy voice called out from the deck of her home as she emerged, her Espeon, Darcy, by her side greeting her. “But you know that that would be a lie.”
Rachel smiled as she greeted Hint, already seeing a cup of tea in her hand as the woman’s Psychic-type Pokémon came out to meet her own, whom all emerged from their Pokéballs to make conversation. “Is that cup for me?”
Hint chuckled brightly as she walked over to hand it to her, putting a hand on her backside to guide her into her home. “You know me so well.” Rachel figured Hint knew what was wrong. She always did before she even showed up. “You weren’t out doing Survey Corp work in your condition, were you?”
“No, no. I asked Captain Cyllene for the day off and she gave me it without any questions or resistance.” Rachel said, taking a seat by the table on the cushion provided to sip her tea. There was a slight ginger taste to it, which made sense. It was good for stomachaches and nausea. “I did throw up before I made the trip here, though…but I feel better now.”
“And you’ll feel even better once you finish drinking that tea.” It was almost a scolding, but Hint knew it wasn’t entirely Rachel’s fault. Besides, she was taking care of herself and not going out to do work in her condition. Any effort Rachel took to properly look after herself was appreciated on Hint’s part, especially after the whole exile fiasco the poor thing was subjected to. “It was very kind of Ingo to escort you here.”
“It was.” Rachel agreed, taking another sip of tea. Already, its contents were soothing her stomach pains and making her feel a lot better. Cedric was lying beside her comfortably, relieved that she was already feeling better. The Zorua had gotten used to the presence of Hint’s Psychic-type Pokémon, her Kirlias were particularly eccentric, but friendly. “I could’ve gone myself, but I could tell he was worried and I wanted to put his mind at ease, too.”
“As you should. If you keep going about all recklessly the way you do, you’ll have Adaman worried into an early grave.” Hint scolded properly. She knew how much that man fussed over Rachel and with a third member of their little unit on the way, Rachel couldn’t afford to be reckless, anymore.
Rachel scoffed, rolling her eyes. It was sweet of Hint to worry, and she knew that if Adaman were here, he would be dropping everything just to tend to her and make sure she was taken care of. He was a sweetheart that way. “Eh, I’m sure I would’ve been fine. He knows I’m a tough cookie.”
“Yes, but it’s not just him that’ll worry about you. And not just you he’ll worry about.” Hint insisted, hoping to instill a sense of caution in Rachel’s head with the current circumstances.
The shorter woman raised an eyebrow at Hint. “What? My Pokémon? They’ll be fine, they’re stronger than me. Why should anyone but me be worried about them?” Although she said that, she was worried about them. “Then again, they have been acting really weird, today…they said I had a weird smell, but I’m really not sure what that’s about. I’ve been keeping on top of my hygiene, so I have no clue.”
As Rachel took another sip of the tea that Hint had brewed her, she realized that what she thought was mutually shared knowledge between them was not. Hint knew, but Rachel did not. “Oh…oh dear…you don’t know, do you?”
That caught Rachel off-guard as she paused mid-sip. She knew that Hint had a tendency to know things before she did, but there was something concerning about how she hesitated, now. “Know what?”
Oh dear. Now, this felt like an invasion of privacy. Drat, she really should’ve known better than to assume. “I’m sorry, I…should not have said that. Erm…please forgive me.”
She knew that Hint was just trying to save face, believing she’d committed a social blunder, but now Rachel was really worried. What did Hint know that Rachel didn’t? “Hint…? Is there something I should know?”
Hint wasn’t sure if she should say it outright. Rachel might not believe her if she did, and she might get upset with her. She really should’ve thought this through, but she supposed there was no avoiding it. Besides, it was better that she knew now rather than later. Then, she could properly prepare.
But how to put it…? “Um, well…you see, erm…how to say his delicately…” Hint hemmed and hawed as she awkwardly laughed to try and shake off the nerves she suddenly felt before she finally came out with it. “When was your last…erm…bleed?”
          “My last…?”
Suddenly, the realization struck her. She hadn’t been keeping track of her cycles since keeping track of time passing was difficult enough. She kept a journal of each day that had gone by, but she didn’t think to keep track of her cycles. But surely… “No no, you-you can’t mean…there’s no way that I’m…”
She tried to think. No, she and Adaman had been careful. They had a way of dealing with it afterwards – as bitter and revolting as the ‘morning after’ drink was, but it was working. They were careful.
But Rachel had to keep track of the timelines. When was the last time they’d…?
Unfortunately, as she counted the days in her head, it made perfect sense. There was no other explanation. No wonder her PokÊmon were acting weird and no wonder she felt so sick, today.
She was sure that the realization was showing on her face because now Hint looked especially worried. “Shit.”
Cedric could feel the mounting emotions that were beginning to peak in Rachel. The panic, the sinking feeling, and the confusion and distress. “Rachel…?” Hint was one of the few people in Hisui he felt comfortable speaking around.
“I…” Rachel could barely think. She could barely even process anything happening right now. She was…she was really… “I need to find Adaman.”
“Right now?” Hint asked, worried. “Are you sure you’re in any condition to travel right now? It could be dangerous.”
“I can handle it, Hint.” Rachel insisted, getting up (and taking another sip before setting the cup on the table). “There’s no time to waste, I need to talk to him about this now.”
Cedric got up as well, following her. “Alright, then let’s call Wyrdeer and get there as fast as we can.”
“No!” Rachel didn’t mean to shout, but her emotions were so high right now that she had a difficult time controlling them and maintaining her composure. “No, this is something I need to talk to Adaman about alone. You stay here with Hint. And when I come back, we can talk about it then, okay?”
Cedric didn’t like being separated from his trainer, especially after everything they’d been through. He didn’t like not knowing what was happening to her or if she was alright, but this was a conversation that just needed to be between them. At least right now. They needed to figure this situation out before anything else.
But he still couldn’t help but worry. “You’re sure you’ll be okay?”
“I’ll take the others with me.” Rachel assured him. “If I get in trouble, they’ll have my back. But we’ll talk about it when I get back. I promise.”
He was still terribly worried, but he couldn’t argue with her. “Okay…please be careful, okay?”
“I will. I promise, Cedric.” Rachel swore, bending down to kiss his forehead and spin on her heel, calling out to her Pokémon. “Guys! We’re going to the Crimson Mirelands!”
She didn’t take Wyrdeer to the mirelands. For once, she beseeched almighty Sinnoh’s aid and used her Arc Phone to teleport to the mirelands and then straight to the Diamond Settlement. There really was no time to waste. She needed to talk to Adaman straight away. She didn’t even greet anyone else as she sprinted by. She knew she was causing some confusion, but she didn’t care.
Rachel needed to find their leader.
Sure enough, he was easy to find. These days, he was often contemplating by Lake Valour quietly on its shore. As soon as she saw him in the distance, she called out to him. Probably louder than she intended. “ADAMAN!”
It wasn’t often that Rachel raised her voice like this. She was naturally loud, to be fair – she had a rather strong voice. But it was rare for her to properly raise it, especially that much. And with how fast she was running towards him, and the fact that Cedric – her constant companion – was nowhere to be found, he immediately began to worry about her. Even when she met him, she nearly barreled into him causing him to stagger on his feet. “Woah! Hey, slow down. What’s going on, Rachel?”
“I need to talk to you.” She said immediately, not wasting any time. “In private.”
The urgency in her voice could not be understated. Immediately, Adaman guided Rachel, a comforting hand on her back, back towards the settlement and corralled her into his tent away from prying eyes. He wouldn’t have any speculation about her, not when she was clearly distressed about something.
Once they had complete privacy, Adaman let out a heavy sigh and sat her down on the nearest bed, a hand on her knee as he leaned against her. He held her against him, an arm around her to help her feel more comfortable. She was always inclined towards his physical touch and he knew he was a comfort for her.
In the quiet of the tent, Adaman pried gently. “Is something wrong?”
That…was difficult to answer. It wasn’t even that it was necessarily something wrong, it was just something urgent. “No? Yes…? Maybe…?”
“Wow…if you can’t even give me a straight answer, it must be serious.” His attention was fully on her, only wanting to help the woman he loved work through whatever had her so thrown off that she couldn’t even think clearly. “How about you start from the beginning and we go from there?”
Looking into his calm eyes, Rachel forced herself to take a few deep breaths, not realizing how fast her heart was going until she took a second to wind down for a moment to calmly explain what was happening. “Okay.” She breathed, managing to compose herself and organize her thoughts enough so that she could explain this to him. How was he going to react? She was scared, but she needed to talk to him about this first before anything else. “So, I woke up late and feeling sick, this morning. Nothing serious! Just nauseous, so Captain Cyllene gave me the day off to take care of myself. Ingo was worried about me, so he escorted me to Hint’s place.”
Adaman nodded along. Aside from the sickness, nothing else seemed to be wrong. “This sounds pretty mundane for you. What happened when you were there?”
This was the difficult part for her to confess. The part she was most worried about. This could change their relationship and Rachel was terrified of how it would change. She didn’t want him to hate her and she didn’t want to be given any reason to hate him. There were so many emotions going through her and she had no idea what to do with any of them.
But she needed to talk about it. “Well, uh…she made me tea, and we talked for a bit. And, uh…you see…the thing is – what I’m trying to say is…um…” Come on, out with it! Just say it! Adaman was patient as ever, knowing that this was incredibly unlike Rachel to tiptoe around a subject. He didn’t want to pressure her or make her worrying worse. “She, uh…she told me…we found out…that…”
Rachel couldn’t even meet his gaze anymore, looking away and folding her hands together, covering her nose and mouth as she struggled to say what she needed to say. It needed to be said. Nothing could be done about it if she didn’t.
Finally managing to work up the courage, she managed to finally speak it aloud. “I’m pregnant.” She croaked.
Sound itself seemed to cease for a moment. Silence hung in the air between them. Time itself seemed to stretch for what felt like hours, but in reality were only a few minutes. Once the confession was spoken aloud, the reality began to sink in. This was very serious and this needed to be talked about, but gently. It was very clear to Adaman that Rachel was very distressed about this, and he…well, his opinions and emotions didn’t really matter, at least not yet.
Was he excited at the prospect of potentially being a father? Admittedly, yes. There was a little spark in his chest that ignited at the thought of having a baby with Rachel, and he’d be lying if he didn’t imagine them as a family together. Was he also terrified for her sake and for the future? He was, of course. Fear and joy existed simultaneously.
But he knew that all of them being together as a family for the rest of time was impossible. Rachel still had every intention of returning home to her timeline, to her family, to Zinnia. He loved her, he loved her so much, and he knew she returned that, even if she couldn’t say it for her own sake. But his priority was her happiness, and that meant he needed to get her home.
What would a child do to that? How would a child affect that? She could have both, if that was what she wanted. Even if Rachel has the baby and goes back to her timeline anyways, Adaman would be alright with that. The clans both communally raised their children, so he wouldn’t be alone to raise the baby. Everyone would love them… He couldn’t help but think.
But none of that mattered if it wasn’t something Rachel wanted. She needed to come first. “How are you feeling about it?”
That took her by surprise. She expected him to have a reaction of some kind. Fear? Anger? No, he would never be angry at her for this. They both held the responsibility for this. Maybe joy? But none of that. Instead, he asked about her first. And she had no clue how to respond. “I don’t know…!” She was quite frankly baffled, meeting his gaze once more. All she could see was quiet concern. She wasn’t sure what she felt about that. It wasn’t anger, but it was something adjacent to it. “How are you so calm about this?!”
Her bafflement he supposed made sense, but he was still rather taken off-guard by it. “I just want to know how I can best support you.” Adaman replied calmly, trying to help her not panic or freak out.
Why did that make her more upset? He was saying the right things, so why did that make her feel upset? “Don’t you have any kind of opinion? What do you think about this?”
“What I think is that what I think doesn’t matter unless I can know how best to support you.” Adaman insisted. He was confused by her emotional reaction. He was saying the right things, wasn’t he? He was in no position to tell her what to think or how to feel. All he wanted to do was support her, but he felt like he was already failing at that. “This affects you more directly than it affects me. You’re the one who will be on the receiving end of the worst of the consequences of this. So it doesn’t matter what I think or what my opinions are, here. You’re the one whose choice matters most.”
Rachel was growing more upset and more confused. Why was this making her so upset? Adaman was doing everything right, but instead of comfort and reassurance, it was making her angry and it was making her scared and upset. It didn’t make any sense and it only served to confuse and overwhelm her further. “How…how can you possibly be okay with this?!” She blurted out, unable to control her emotions or keep calm any longer. Was this the hormones because of the pregnancy? Oh great almighty, it was already affecting her. “I-I have to go home! I have a family I need to get back to, and now I’m pregnant with your child! I still need to do that – I’m going to do that – and you’re somehow okay with this?! I don’t understand! Why?! Aren’t you hurt? Upset? Angry? Anything?! Why are you so calm about all of this?!”
“About what? You being pregnant? You leaving?” Adaman asked, trying to understand the root of why she was suddenly so upset at him.
“YES! ALL OF IT!” She raised her voice and realized that she actually yelled at him. The look on his face as he recoiled from the volume stuck a thorn in her fragile chest. She never did that before and she immediately felt guilty about it and got up, turning her back to him. She couldn’t even look at him as she paced around the room. “I don’t understand how you can just be okay with the decisions I’ve been making! I don’t understand why you would be in a relationship with me if you knew it wasn’t going to last. I know you accepted that at the start, and it made sense…before this.
“But now you don’t have an opinion? You don’t have any feelings whatsoever about me being pregnant with your child? Knowing I have every intention of leaving?! Why aren’t you hurt? Why aren’t you upset or angry with me?! Why are you so…so…?!” It was completely unreasonable for her to be so angry with him for what, exactly? Being kind? Supportive? Why was she so fucking upset?!
“Of course I’m hurt!” Adaman blurted out, unable to keep calm under this barrage of chaotic and intense emotions. “It’s painful! It’s painful to know that not just you, but everyone I know could be gone at any moment! It’s painful knowing that no matter what happens, you’ll be gone! Of course I have opinions on this!” He didn’t mean to lose his composure, but it was impossible to keep under these circumstances, the man clenching and unclenching his fists in an attempt to calm down. “But I knew that from the start. I knew you had somewhere to go back to, and I accepted that. Even though I knew…it was going to hurt. What am I supposed to reasonably do? Force you to stay? Keep you here? I could never ask you to do that! I would never want you to give your life up just to stay with me! You have a history and a life that existed before you met me. I knew that and I accepted it since the start.”
She should’ve been comforted and reassured by that. Rachel should’ve found something soothing in that, but she couldn’t. But what was anger was replaced by sorrow. Why would he hurt himself like this? Why would he deliberately do this to himself? “Why…?” Rachel cried, tears gathering at the corners of her eyes. She felt like her heart was being crushed in her chest. “Why would you do that? Why would you let this happen? No, that’s stupid to say. I’m just as responsible…”
This wasn’t even Adaman’s fault. This was hers. She did this to him, knowing what her decisions were going to be. Who was she to blame the victim in all of this? It was her decision to pursue this relationship despite knowing that she had a home to go back to. Was she lonely? Desperate? In despair? Maybe.
But Adaman didn’t deserve to suffer for it. How could she do this to him? “Why did I let this happen…?” She whimpered, less talking to him and more just…talking because she needed to talk. Emotions needed to come out, whether she wanted them to or not. “I never meant to hurt you – I never wanted to hurt you. But I did this…I let this happen.”
She swallowed thickly, tears spilling from her tight and sore eyes and flowing like lava down her cheeks. She couldn’t stop herself from weeping quietly, back turned to Adaman. She didn’t dare look to see the hurt on his face. “Why did I let myself waste so much of your time and effort…?”
There was no way Rachel understood how hurtful that was for him to hear. It felt like a knife going through his chest for the woman he loved and admired so much to think that she was a waste of his time. Time that was valuable that he enjoyed spending with her. He had never felt anything as painful as this. That Rachel thought she wasn’t worth his time so much that she felt guilty for wasting it.
He wasn’t one to cry in front of others, or even at all. Not that he didn’t, just not very often, but he couldn’t stop himself from tearing up. The last thing he ever wanted was for Rachel to think that she wasn’t worth being in his life or that she was somehow a burden on his. And deep down, he knew she wasn’t saying any of this to hurt him. Some part of him was realizing that the decisions she was making and sticking to were incredibly difficult for her to make, and the more attached to him she got, the more difficult that was.
That was why she wanted his opinion so badly. She needed some kind of reason to make her decisions easier to make for herself, even if that meant pushing him away. Because deep down…she was afraid. She was afraid she was going to make a decision she was going to regret, and she was desperately searching for some way to make that decision easier to make.
Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, clenching and unclenching his fists, he stood up and walked towards her. “Rachel.” He said sternly, unable to keep the hurt out of his tone of voice. “I need you to listen to me right now.”
Her heart stopped for a moment, hearing the sharpness behind his words. This was what she was afraid of. She pushed it too far, and now he hated her. This was it. The moment he denounced her and decided she wasn’t worth keeping around anymo- “I need you to never say that again.” He said, his hands on her shoulders. But very quickly, his arms snaked underneath hers and wrapped around her, pressing his chest against her backside and pressing his cheek into the back of her head. Wait…were his cheeks wet?
Oh…she made him cry. Exactly what she didn’t want. All the more reason for her to leave him behind. All she would do now was hurt- “You are not, never have been, and never will be a waste of my time.” His voice shook with emotion as he held her, arms trembling slightly. Rachel had never seen him like this and she couldn’t even see him. She was still afraid to turn around and look at him. “It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in my life, I will never regret the time I’ve spent with you. What we have will never be a waste of my time just because it was brief.”
This wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair for Adaman to be so kind. So selfless. This wasn’t fair. He was supposed to make this easier for her to do, not harder. He was supposed to give her an easy out of this, but instead she had to face it. “Why would you do this…why would you want this if you knew you were going to be hurt? If you knew what we had was going to be…temporary?”
Adaman sighed deeply, holding her close. He could no longer bear speaking to her without seeing her. Gently, he pulled away and held her by the shoulders, turning her around. Rachel looked down, afraid to see the expression on his face, afraid to face the hurt she knowingly caused. “Hey…” He said gently, softly taking her chin in his hand and tilting her head up slightly. “Look at me…please.”
Damn it…she was still weak to him despite all of this.
Doing as he asked, Rachel met his gaze and felt her heart break into a million pieces. He wasn’t angry with her. There was only hurt and patience on his face as he looked at her. She nearly felt her legs give out when he reached to cup her face, wiping away her tears with his thumb. She wasn’t immune to his soft touches and loving grasp. Rachel instinctively leaned into his touch, hating herself for feeling so safe and cared for in his grasp.
He could never be angry with her. He could never hold anything against her, not when it was clear how painful it was for her to have to make this decision. “Listen to me…” He said softly, holding her face in his hands as he stared deeply into her dark eyes. Dark eyes wide and pleading and full of pain and uncertainty. “Even if you were to stay – even if you decided to stay to raise our child – there would still be a chance that something could happen to you tomorrow, and I would never see you again. Everything in life is temporary. I believe that mighty Dialga gave us all a set amount of time in this world to live. Even if you stayed, what we had would still be temporary. That wouldn’t make it any less worth it to me. Just because things are temporary doesn’t make those things worthless or a waste of time.
“Whether you stay or not, I would never regret what we’ve had. It would never be a waste of my time.” Softly, Adaman’s hand slid down, resting on her belly as he sighed through his nose. “Whether you have this baby or not, I would never regret meeting you or having this with you. If you do, they would have an entire community that would raise them and support them. They wouldn’t grow up alone and you wouldn’t be leaving me alone with them. And if you don’t, we have a way we can handle that…the only thing that matters is that it’s your decision. As long as it’s what you want, I will support you.”
She didn’t deserve Adaman. Rachel didn’t deserve a man like him with how selfish she felt. “But you’ll still hurt when I leave…”
         He nodded. “Yes, I know.”
“I never wanted to hurt you.” She repeated, closing her eyes with a fresh set of tears running down her cheeks. “But you wanted this despite everything you knew about me.”
         “Yes, I know.” Adaman repeated.
“But now, if I go through with this, you’ll be left with our baby…and it’ll hurt even more.”
         “Yes, I know.”
“Then none of this has done you any good at all…!” Rachel cried, pain making it so difficult to stay standing, so difficult to face Adaman and face this decision she had to make.
Adaman sighed, leaning forward to kiss her forehead. They were both incredibly selfless people. Pain like this was inevitable, he supposed. But he knew what he was getting into since the start. “But it has…you’ve changed my life in ways that’ll continue long after you’re gone. For the better.” He insisted, resting his forehead against hers. “Even the way I look at mud. There was never any meaning when I looked at the bogs before you. But now, whenever I look at them, it reminds me of what it feels like when I look into your eyes. How deep you pull me in and how easy it is to get lost in them. How much at home I feel…”
Even though it was incredibly difficult for her to accept what he was telling her, she knew he was sticking by what he was saying. There was no convincing him, he’d made his decision. He was sticking by her no matter what, and she needed to push aside all of the confusing and frightening emotions she felt at the prospect of bearing his child to accept that.
That no matter what decision she made, he wasn’t going anywhere. Not until it was time for her to leave and go home.
For a long moment, they stayed like that. They held each other, raw emotions now laid bare. Adaman had seen some of the worst side of her, and yet he still stuck around. With conviction like that, she needed to believe him.
But the burden was now still on her. She still had to make a choice. “So…what do you want? What do you feel?”
Sighing, Rachel found her resolve. All of her emotions were filtered through, and she could finally answer without being clouded by them. “I…I don’t know.” She replied in earnest. “I’m…scared, panicked…excited…and overwhelmed. And I don’t know what I want out of this, yet…”
“Then take the time to figure that out. You don’t have to decide this right now, you just found out.” Adaman assured her, holding her close by her waist. “This isn’t something you can decide on a whim. This needs a lot of time to decide, so please take it. I’ll be here for you no matter what you decide…I promise.”
She knew he was right. She wasn’t sure how much time she would need to make such a monumentous decision, especially because she wasn’t even sure whether her answer was yes or no. The fact that there was doubt at all was what made this decision so difficult. If she knew for sure what she wanted, this conversation wouldn’t have been so difficult.
But she didn’t, which made it so much harder.
“Okay…” Rachel said quietly, accepting that this wasn’t a decision she could make now. He was right. She needed to take as much time as she needed for her decision to become clear.
Cradling her in his arms, Adaman led her back and guided her into the bed, holding her close. Immediately, she instinctively wrapped her arms around him and clung to him, crying the last of her tears into his shirt. His arms and legs kept her close to him, letting her use him for emotional relief for a bit.
Even at her worst, he found her beautiful. He didn’t judge her, nor could he ever hate her or begrudge her for anything. “I love you…you don’t have to say it back to me. I know how difficult this all is for you, right now…”
He was right. She couldn’t say it back, but she said it in her mind all the time. She loved him. She loved him so very much and she wanted nothing more than for him to be happy.
Which was why all of these decisions were so painful for her to make. The last thing she wanted was to hurt him. But at the same time…she couldn’t make his decisions for him, just as he couldn’t make her decisions for her.
This was simply the reality. It was high time she accepted it.

[1000 Dreams] Fate
Tumblr media
"...." Out in the distance, Izanami was looking out to the horizon of Spear Pillar.
Tumblr media
Heidi was on the other side of Spear Pillar. She... doesn't remember when she got here... but that didn't matter, either. Heidi pulled out the Legend Plate and continued to look at Izanami.
Tumblr media
Izanami was in her unbound state, waiting for her.
Tumblr media
Heidi walked up to Izanami. The two of them turned around and looked in the distance. Much of the Sinnoh Region was able to be seen, with the sunset casting a warming light upon the area.
Tumblr media
"You know..."
"Hm?"
"I have been fated to die for some time now, little one."
"What do you mean?"
"...There has been a timer on my life ever since I created this world. Long ago, far before I met you, a much younger version of me peered into the future to determine if Izanagi and I would ever come together again. Despite everything that happened... despite the abuse and the trouble that he caused me, I looked into the future to figure out if he and I would ever be together again -- like old times.... but what I saw was much... much worse."
Tumblr media
"I noticed that no matter the timeline... no matter the course of events, I was bound to perish.... Sent to die long before the expiration of my world... long before I could truly return to my old normalcy... and, even if I were to make things up with Izanagi, it would never evolve into a full relationship before my eventual demise. It was... heartbreaking.... Gut-wrenching, even."
"Oh.. Nami...."
"..." Izanami shook her head. "I... I tried everything that I could to fight it. I tried defying every fate that I could.... I tried destroying a previous iteration of this current realm.... I tried seeking help from other passerby Arceus and Dialga. Even when Icathia, your Dialga, appeared to me, I attempted finding a way to prolong my life.... All was for nought -- as nothing could stop my impending doom. Then, when I met your Mother, I... I knew all was lost. Either I would perish by her hand, or soon after by her followers."
"...."
Tumblr media
"...but then, you regained your memories, and I met you -- the original you. You remember that day, yes?"
Tumblr media
"I... I do. It was the first time everything started making sense for me. 1,000 years of lost memories rushing back at the sight of her..."
"Yes! Well, it was then when I confirmed just how special you were. You were not the only one to have an epiphany that day, child. You inspired me.... You were proof to me that even if fate would be cruel to me, that, maybe, there was a chance for the rest of you to live. I was not sure how I could do just having the motivation to figure something out was much more important than the alternative."
"...So, you decided to have me take over in your stead."
Izanami nodded. "Yes. I gave you Ghost as an offering, but also to see if you were worthy enough to wield a Creator's power. I watched as you bonded with it and learned how the ability to create on your own... how you discovered you susceptibility to Shadow energy and made peace with it.... How there is still yet more of you to learn. You have exceeded all of my expectations and then some. This is why I am confident that my -- no -- our world will be safe under your guidance."
"Nami...." Heidi was extremely touched. Honestly, she was at a loss for words.
Tumblr media
"...Once you gave me that realization, I decided that it was finally time to go. Even though I cannot stop my fate, I could always go out on my terms. That is why I challenged your mother. I... I wanted to know. I wanted to see if her conviction to her goal was as strong as yours... to see if she truly considered her actions noble and just. I would perish, but I would at least get the answers that I searched for with her."
"...And her answer?"
"...It... did not disappoint. I now understand why you saw her as an inspiration, even if her ideals are directly opposed to yours or mine."
Heidi smiled at Izanami. There wasn't much to say to that.
Tumblr media
".... That is why... I must make a request to you to accept once you ascent the Holy Halls of my -- well, your -- domain."
"Hm?"
"I understand that the circumstances of my death has become a burden upon all of my children -- created or otherwise... and that falling to your mother in battle will continually disturb her peace with Dawn until the day she dies, whether due to scorn or revenge attempts."
"Actually--"
Izanami interrupted Heidi, grabbing her hand and looking up at the young Latias.
Tumblr media
"But you must not fault her for her actions! Do not use my death as the spearhead of revenge. Do not blind yourself to the sorrows of loss. You are bright -- as bright as she is. Your conviction and determination to keep everyone safe. You must preserve and protect it at all costs."
"My... determination, huh?"
"Yes."
Tumblr media
Heidi couldn't help but bring a smile to her face. Heidi knelt down to meet the Creator eye-to-eye. "Thank you, Nami. Hearing all of this from you was... nice. Though, I never truly blamed your death on Friede in the first place."
"Huh?"
Tumblr media
"Nami. I've known you for six years now. I know that no matter what you get yourself into, you always have a good reason of doing so. So, when I learned of the duel and of your passing, I... didn't blame her. Sure, I mourned your passing. Heck, still kinda am to be honest.... But I know you. I know that your decision to go was on your terms and because you wished it to, even before learning all of this."
"...Heidi...." Now, she's tempted to cry.
"...Thank you, Nami. Thank you for all that you've done for us. Thank you for giving me a place to stay... for giving Lauren and I a chance in your world. Thank you for trusting me enough to give me this responsibility. I promise that the determination and conviction that you've seen will not fade, even after all of this is over... and that you can rest well knowing that I can take care of things in your place."
Tumblr media
Okay, NOW she's crying. "Oh, my little starchild!" Izanami hugged Heidi as hard as she could. "Look at you, making a dead woman cry in the afterlife. How dare--"
Heidi chuckled and returned the hug. "I love you too, Nami. I love you too."

my annual February shiny hunt is on soon! February, if that title is to be believed. this year, i’ll try to get two games going: Y and Legends Arceus! i’ll prefer hunting in Y if i have to choose, but i think it could be fun to get the two working together.
in Y, i’ll be in Route 4. i am specifically going for a Shiny Combee, and the closest thing to a zonk is gonna be Ledyba. i expect four, even if i stick to the Yellow Flowers.    that said, every other encounter on the route i consider good. if i somehow manage to get plenty of all ‘mons off of that route, i’ll swoop around to route 22, as that gives a pretty healthy selection with no repeats and no real misses to me. if i somehow manage to get a bunch of ‘mons there too, then i’m gonna call it a good month. :p
as for Arceus’ role in this, it’s to hunt in those Space-Time Distortions. Johtonian Sneasel, Porygon, Magnemite, Cranidos, and Shieldon are exclusive to the bubbles, and i want to make a solid effort to get a full-as-possible living shiny dex in that game, since those are really the big things holding it back. also, Cherubi, sorta, but because i expect there to be a ton of waiting around for the former to pop up, i think it’ll be nice to weave the two together.
depending on exactly how many encounters i get, we might be looking at weekly updates from Y, or possibly a mid-month and end-of-month update about that. Arceus, if i’m lucky, will have enough encounters to stitch together a video for. i’ll hit a bit a ton on the plans and ideas for the rest of the year, i excluded a tangent that seemed a bit much. i’ll just put it under a Keep Reading, because details can get long and i want to respect Dashes.
first things first, the most common thing on this blog, Switch games. hopefully, there’s not gonna be much going on in Splat 3 in Feb. i’d give a sigh of relief if, if there is some event, it was at the end of the month. the rest of the year is gonna be fine, i just don’t want it crunching on the shiny hunt. i expect the DLC this year, but no sense in rushing that. the new game i got for the holidays(i’m excepting World’s End Club) are queuing up, not much to say there. if i get the majority of Distortion Pokemon in Arceus, maybe a small uptick from that afterwards.    about like a week ago, i learned i can way more easily move my teams from any game that can connect to Pokemon Home to my main files, so i want to do a Poison monotype in Shield this year. if anyone wants me to specifically try another type sooner or later, i’m open to the idea, i was thinking about it a bit and realized that Shield is a shockingly light game for me, and i won’t feel too roughed up about replaying that a bit more. that said, if i’m the only one, i already got a priority list lined up(i’m feeling Rock, ice, and Dragon, to match gens 6 & 7, and Steel, which i’ll elaborate on when i get to it, so i know now next years monotypes for X and UM). i doubt i’d do all 18 types, but i’m already considering five, what’s 13 more? maybe trim content, at that point badge completion is more a formality on my end. i don’t feel the need to do a major revisit to any other games i played before.    you know, i think i’m getting a better handle on why i like Nemona so much...
i think the only new full game i know about this year will be Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. it’s on my radar.    that said, 30 minute(maybe more like 3 hour) break, taking a bit to look into planned releases coming up, and a quick browse through the eShop, i got myself a list of other games to keep an eye out for, i figure i’ll get them as i get them if i want to get them. i’m kinda leaning towards other Monster Master sorts of games, the three big ones i saw on there being Temtem, Coromon, and Nexomon. Temtem’s the priciest by about double, i’ll look into the trio sooner or later, see what’s up with them. Dark Souls Remastered sounds serviceable on Switch, and there’s a few others i didn’t expect to find either.
off of the Switch, a small liveblog of Digimon Dawn, which i figure i’ll go with way less posts compared to Dusk, more so detailing differences. for that, i think i’ll aim to start mid-March. then i got some Dragon monotypes between X and Ultra Moon, the latter of which we can expect to see photos from. to better guide me on timing, i know i have a trip to visit family in July, and after that i’ll do a liveblog for a Smeargle team in Moon. maybe a handful of photos from that one? it’s kinda silly to have multiple photos of a single Pokemon over a whole game, especially since the Photo Club isn’t actually IN Moon, and it just gets sillier when the idea of doing an Ultra Moon run is still not wholly off the table in my book.    i don’t want to do a Smeargle run in Ultra Moon yet because, frankly, Molayne scares me more than Hala. this is meant to say more about Molayne than Hala, truthfully. in either case though, the relatively early Route 2 provides Smeargles in both games, so this marks the first time i won’t feel i need to trade a team in. exciting! i got a few ideas already, but i’m not gonna look up much details until later, i’m planning to do this sometime starting in July after all.

howdy! im wondering how you figured out your kintypes? mainly zoroark since im questioning if i may be one (unovan) but any advice overall would be a great help!
have a nice day/night
- 🌌
Aaaa sorry I didn't see this sooner, I didn't expect anyone to send asks to this blog ! /pos
Saw this earlier today but just now able to get to it (in fact it unintentionally triggered a zoroark shift so hell yeah, plus that makes answering this a bit easier)
Soo please bear with me cause I'm not the best at explaining / wording stuff, plus my experience is a big all over the place cause uh,,, full disclosure: I repressed a lot of my kin experiences cause I thought I was just weird / faking it, and I used to pretend to KFF. it felt like a "safer" way to connect with that side of myself, at least a little bit, without disapproval.
Plus uhh general memory issues, that's a problem.
So I always kinda attached myself to zoroark - mostly thinking it was a cool pokemon. But tbh I was a bit,,, envious ? Jealous ? Of every zoroark. I dunno, it was kinda along the lines of "I wish I could use illusion powers, I could feel more comfortable with myself."
I dunno how I confirmed it - I think I added to my kin list cause it was like "Yeah that's me, I wanna be seen as that." This was back when I thought I was the unova variant. Once I finally accepted I was ACTUALLY kin, a lot got removed from that list, but zoroark I just,, couldn't. It still felt like me, not like I just related to zoroark, but I wanted to BE that.
Memories came after that, but they're still pretty vague. I could remember treading through a snowy environment, with those pine(?) trees strewn about. It wasn't flat surface either, there were raises in the ground (slopes? Is that what they're called?). I NEVER went into a snowy forest area before in this life.
I'm still playing legends arceus, and got to the part where ingo gets introduced, and so searched to figure out where I could catch a zorua,, annnd turns out the portion of the game they're in? EXACTLY what I can remember
So that was a major realization that I was hisuian instead.
Granted, I'm also questioning the unova variant myself! I also have some memory of hiding in a forest area next to a city. I dunno if it's a separate life, or part of my hisuian one (cause let's be real, how can a species "die out" if they're already spirits ?)
That's my experience but obviously yours would be different. I'd suggest looking into the media your kintype comes from in order to find something. I myself am planning on replaying black and white, since it's been a while. (And ofc finish up legends arceus).
Ofc there's meditation but I can't get myself to do that fjrrjejee. Mostly just uhhh feel it out ! It takes a bit to REALLY be sure, and it's not an issue if you turn out to be wrong. But honestly with a lotta my kins, I just get the feeling of "that's me" or "I want others to see me as this", and if that feeling persists I look into it.
And also memories help, but that's not a requirement. I had memories of only two kins (mickey / sad mouse and RXQ) before I kinfirmed with myself. The rest of my memories are just slowly coming back with the others.
Sorry for the ramble oops-

Let me take care of you
Fandom: PokĂŠmon Legends Arceus - also readable on AO3-
Ship: Adaman x f!reader (reader ist FEMALE!)
Genre: Fluff, smut
Words: 3.753
The sound of slightly coughing in the distant broke you from your slumber. You opened your eyes and saw the slowly rising sun in the distant. It was way too early for you to wake up. Still, there was this little coughing you heard some moments ago. However, the sleep weighted over you, so you turned back to sleep.
At the time you finally woke up, the sun shined into your shared-bedroom with your boyfriend, Adaman. So-called boyfriend was already on the foot, mostly doing clan-work you assumed. You had not seen him the last days – you only know he was there when you randomly woke up in the night when he entered the bed and spooned you.
After dressing up and eat some breakfast, you wander around in search for him. You had in mind there was some serious Clan-Business at the moment – which would explain he had no time for relationship things. You already knew with starting dating that things like regular dates and stuff would be impossible from time to time – However, to see the boyfriend merely and only when going to bed wasn’t your thing. Even when it’s just seeing him doing things, it was enough and better than just feeling his warm skin in bed.
You encounter Mai on your search. The warden seemed to search for him, too.
“Morning Mai. Did you see Adaman by any chance?”
“Sadly, No. I am also looking out for him. He wanted to visit me to discuss something. However, he did not show up and got a bit…worried.”
“I would, too. That isn’t likely for him to ditch what he promised.”
“Yeah. And to be honest, the last time I saw him, he looked not very well.”
“Oh?”
That was also a thing why you wanted to see him during the day – Adaman often tends to slack off with taking proper care of himself. The wardens were indeed happy about you both dating – there was finally someone kicking his butt to bed and taking care of the man. You remembered quite well the moment you caught him with a slight fever while doing paper work. Suddenly, the random coughing at the morning came back to your mind. You had an assumption it was from him.
“I assumed you hadn’t seen each other for days?”
“Yeah.”
Mai just sighed. “Well, he isn’t in the hut, or around our lords and ladies. The guards say he did not leave the settlement to Jubilife Village. He must be around…somewhere…”
Both of you waved goodbye and started searching for the missing leader. He was indeed nowhere to be found what only worried you more. When it was true you had in mind, Adaman had surely more than just a little cough and just don’t want to relax because this is important for the clan and have to be done immediately.
“This isn’t the time to show us your ninja tricks Beni taught you” you murmured to yourself while walking to the lake – the only option you had in mind where he could be. If he would not be there, your ideas were empty to find the precious boyfriend. And you would surely kick his butt the next time for just sneaking away. Gladly, you saw from afar something at the lake what could be a human. You speeded up your pace to the human structure to finally found the missing man.
Adaman was lying there, unconscious. Your heart sunk at the bottom from your body and you went immediately to his side. Mai was right – he was very pale; his cheeks were brightly red and you had not to mention the sweat on his forehead – you softly put a hand on it to feel how he was burning like fire. You could only assume he wanted to cool down in the morning at the lake after waking up and realizing his rising fever and cold – only to pass out right on spot. Which means he laid there for some hours…in the cold. It wasn’t pretty cold in the area, just a bit fresh in the morning hours. Still, not the best environment for a sick person. And how hot he already was, you were very worried. Nevertheless, how should you put him back to bed? He was a bit too heavy for you.
So, you ran back to the settlement to find Mai and asking her for help. She was the only person you knew who could easily lift this man. Even when Adaman is embarrassed afterwards for getting lifted.
“Oh shit” she only cursed when you arrived at the spot. She lifted him up like a married couple in bridal style and took the leader back where he belongs to – Bed. On the way back, you encounter some members and saw their worried faced after seeing the sicken leader in the arms of the warden.
Back in your shared-home, Mai laid him into bed. “So, I will leave him in your care. If there is a chance and he felt better – kick him in the butt from me.”
“I will, believe me! In the meantime, where he gets better, will you do some tasks? I don’t want him to be sick again after getting better.”
“Sure, you can count on me.” And with this, Mai left your hut while you look down at the bed. You slowly tried to undress his Haori and at least his shoes, so you could put a blanket over the hot and cold body. You went to the bath to prepare a bucket with some cold water and a cloth for his burning forehead. You placed the bucket next to the bed and went to the little shelf in the corner where some medics were. You also started collections some vegetables for cooking but for now, you had to deal with the rising temperature in his body.
You sat next to the bed and watched his distressed face – you assumed a little fever nightmare. Slowly, you put your hands on his shoulders so softly shaking him awake. It helped a bit and soon, his brown eyes looked tiredly in your direction. Before he could voice any excuse, you smashed the watered cloth on his forehead – Adaman could not hide a slight satisfied moan over the nicely cold feeling.
“Any idea how worried Mai and I were when we found you at the lake?” you asked him with a smile on the face but with the most pissed voice you could have. “Any excuses?”
“I had…things to do…”
“You always have things to do, love” you said while putting some medics and a glass of water next to bed. “And it is always important to do it because it matters to the clan, right?”
Still a smile on, voice entirely pissed off.
Adaman only swallowed loudly.
“I’m messed it up pretty bad, right?”
“Oh love” you started and checked the cloth which was now warm. You took it off his forehead, wring out the hot water and put it back in the bucket, then put it back on his forehead. “You already knew you were ill and still continued working. How often did I mention to you how much I hate it when you slack off your health?”
“I…”
“How much?”
“…I…stopped counting…” he admitted his defeat. “I am…sorry…”
“Sorry for what?”
“Sorry for slacking off my health…again…and…that you need now taking care of me…again...”
If you were in the teasing mood, you would applaud him – However, you were still worried over his current condition. You pointed on the meds.
“Take them, then lay back in bed. You were pretty cold when we found you.”
Adaman only nod and did what you requested. He also took down his outfit to only leave him in underwear. He laid back in bed and snuggled deep under the blanket.
“How did you catch that cold? Mai mentioned you looked like shit for some days…”
“I guess…it was five days ago. I got into a little heavy rain while on the way back here from Jubilife Village and maybe…forget to dry myself properly.”
You just sighed. “And then you head over hills into work and ignored every warn signal…gosh, how did you survive until we start dating? You’re such a dumbass, you know that?”
“But I am YOUR dumbass…ouch”
You just took the cloth into cold water and smashed it into his face. “It’s not the time for sweet talk, love.”
He only sighed and put the cloth more on his forehead. You took a closer look over his face – still flushed cheeks, glassy eyes, lots of sweat. Then he started coughing a bit.
“How are you feeling?”
“Hot…tired…hoarse…sweaty…everything hurts…”
“Yeah, a picture book flu. It would be best if you try to sleep a bit. You took the meds which should slow down the fever a bit. Just call for me if you feel hungry or thirsty, right?”
Adaman only nod. Then he tried as you suggest to sleep a bit. While he sleeps – and you were glad he had no nightmares – you started preparing the soup you often did when someone was ill. The recipe was one of the last remaining things from your origin world. Even when it was just a simple soup with vegetables, it always helped you when being sick. And you guessed your boyfriend would be hungry the next time he wakes up.
You went to the bedside and scanned his face – the cloth dropped next to his face and if you would ignore the little sweat drops on the forehead, his face was very calm and peaceful. Softly, you put one of his hair strands out of his face and behind his ear. His sleeping face was just the cutest thing you ever saw. You took the cloth and exchange the water which was no longer cold. Then, you took out your research notes. As long as Adaman was ill, you could not continue working on the Pokédex – nevertheless, you could work out some things.
You sat yourself on the table Adaman used for his paperwork and started working through the pages. You had no idea how much time passed when you heard the hoarse voice of your boyfriend calling for you.
You went to him. “What’s up? Want something to drink?”
He then just nods and you fill some water which he emptied very fast. He sits up in bed and looked a bit confused around.
“How long were I asleep?”
“Hmm, don’t know. I would say three hours. The sun is still up” you said while putting your hand on his forehead to check the temperature. “It feels a bit lower than before.”
“My head hurts…” he slightly whines and just drops his head on your shoulders. You softly caress his head which let him purr a bit.
“Okay, let me see if I have something for headache. Until…”
You pressed him back into the bed and put the cold cloth on his forehead. Another satisfied sound escaped his lips.
You found some medics for headache, and took a little bowl of soup with you. He wasn’t aware he was starving when he smelt the food.
“Here. Took the medics and eat a bit.”
Like a little child who got his favorite plush, he smiled at the bowl and you had to giggle a bit. It was every time a bit cute how childish he got when being sick.
“It’s delicious!”
“That’s a simple vegetable soup”
“Which tastes delicious like always.”
“Always there with sweet words, huh?” He only wiggled playfully with his eyebrows.
“I see, you feel a bit better.” Adaman only chuckled a bit. “Could be the meds.”
“Then, as long as the meds are kicking – how about a bath?”
“Together?”
“Of course not. While you bath, I will change the bedsheets. Even with you snoring for 3 hours, the sheets are full of your illy sweat.”
“I don’t snore” he said in a playful insulted voice. “Maybe a bit…” he admitted very quietly when you looked not in his direction.
You prepared the bath for him; you also add some herbals in it which were helpful when being sick. Before you called him, you checked the temperate of the water. It should not be too hot so he would pass out – it was already a thing taking the sick guy back to bed with the help of Mai. You surely did not want to call Mai again for bringing the passed-out leader from the bath in the bed. She sure had seen him naked before – you still did not want that. Or he. He was still kind of embarrassed when Mai mentions something from his childhood.
“You can bath!” you said and left back to the shared-bedroom. On the way to the bath, he already let his underpants down – you assumed he tried to tease you with that. Well, you would surely not fuck him in this state – but admiring his naked figure was something else.
“Like what you see?” he said and tried to sound sexy with his slight hoarse voice. He also posed a bit more provocative in the doorframe. “You can have more if you join me!”
“Nice try, love” you said while already walking up to the bed with new sheets under your arm. “As long as you are sick, you can fuck with my substitute – your hand.”
His face was a bit priceless at the moment.
You changed the sheets, took the sweaty ones in the laundry box and went back to the table working on the entries. You did not hear when he finished the bath and walking into the room. You just knew he was finished when he leaned against your back, hands around your waist – and obviously naked.
“The amount of try’s you did for getting me into bed for obviously not sleeping is very high” you said while he just chuckles and placing little kisses at your neck. “I may get the feeling you pretend to be sick just for having sex all day. I would believe you if you just don’t glow like a goddamn campfire.”
“So, you admit that I am hot?”
“Yes, you still are – at the moment a bit too much. Please took on some sleep cloths and back to bed”
You only heard Adaman sigh and then some footsteps back to bed. With the next meds you prepared for him, he surely would sleep until the next morning – which means less bad puns and less horny boyfriend trying to seduce you. This would surely be the program for the next days.
At the second day, Adaman was still very feverish and… extremely horny. You already experience a sick boyfriend – however, he wasn’t that horny the last time. When you checked the temperature – and at this point your hands were a bit cold - he leans into your touch and moaned a bit desperate – and let out a loud whine when you put them away.
“Please babe…I need you” he said in a low needy voice and searched for something from you to grab. He was too weak to sit properly in bed and his view must be very blurred. That’s what you assumed by his glassy eyes. You could not deny you liked the view of the begging and blushing mess before you – you felt the heat by your core. And you could not deny it was a very long time you two were intimate. However, he would make you sick if you would now ride his cock. The getting-better was more important than the pleasure.
“You know we can’t” you said in a disappointed voice and sat yourself on the edge of the bed. He laid on the side, right behind you and pushed his lower body against your ass. You felt his erection softly poking at your butt. Too weak for almost everything but pressing the body against someone – check.
It was tempting, and there was the urge to press him down and fucking him merciless to the bones. But you can’t. You sighed what didn’t go unnoticed by Adaman.
“No?” he said quietly in a hoarse voice. “But you promised taking care of me!”
Oh, that little shitty bastard. “Of your flu, yeah. Not of your penis. Well, not now in this state.”
“But it hurts…” he whined. “I’m so hard and need a relieve. Need you. Please…”
He took your hand into his, then guiding it into his pants. “Please…touch me…!”
Okay, he didn’t lie when he said he was extremely hard and that is already hurts when he placed your hand on his cock.
“How long are you hard like this?” you asked him while scanning the dick with your hand. Even the scanning touch of yours did him let his mouth escape some soft gasps. “I don’t know. It started when I woke up and saw you walking out the bath.”
Oh yeah, you were bathing in the morning – which means some good hours where your boyfriend was rock-bottom hard. And the fever would also play a huge part in it.
“Okay, fine. But only a hand-job and you need to bath afterwards. Deal?”
He pushed his hips more in your direction what you assumed as a “yes”.
Your finger danced over the tip of his cock, slowly drawing little hearts and circles. You could feel his cock softly trembling from your touch, and so does Adaman. Soft gasps and hisses filled the shared-bedroom while he tried to look at you – cheeks burning in red and his glaze full of insatiable lust. You on the other side showed him the sweetest smile you could wear while your hand continued the ministration.
You started slowly bumping your hand up and down and soon, you found a good rhythm. He moved a bit his hips to your rhythm. He really enjoyed this little hand-job more than you expected. Well, then you remembered how he begged you to touch him. The gasps started getting into moans and with each hard stroke at his shaft, you hit a very sensitive spot of him and a loud groan escaped his lips. Then he bucked his hips and chest more in your direction with every hit on his weak spot. He throws his head back into his neck and tried to suppress the upcoming sound which only leads him to let out small whimpers.
“Does it feel good?” you asked in a very low voice. You could feel how you got wetter with every bump you give him and every sound his lips escape. If he wasn’t so illy and occupied in his breathing during your finger dance, he would surely guide his finger into your thigh, wet folds. Well, this time was only for his pleasure and well-being – you could remind him rewarding you when he got better.
“…Ahhhh…yea-h” Adaman answered combined with another moan to your questing. “So…good”
Now you speed up your pace and you could hear how he got a bit louder. You hoped his voice wouldn’t be very husky afterwards, so he could not talk.  The settlement know he was ill, so no one should be around the tent and hearing the vulnerable sounds of their leader under your slight touch. Or wanting to talk to him. Well, it wasn’t the first time someone would hear the sweet love sounds from the hut and gave both of you the most interesting faces the day afterwards.
Some of his sounds started getting a bit higher pitched, what was a thing of him being close. Adaman grabbed the sheets underneath him and let it be holding back the loud sounds while you bumped even harder and faster. “Oh…. fuck…” he only hissed when you also hit his balls during the process.
His body suddenly tensed up, hips and chest bucked in the air and with a last hard stroke, he achieves his orgasm. In seconds, you felt his hot seeds splitting all over your hand. Adaman panted very loudly and tried to catch his breath. His body was completely covered in sweat, the cheeks or mostly his entire face burned in a deep red.
“Better?” you asked while pulling back your hand. “Oh man, that’s a whole mess” you said while looking at the amount of cum on your hand. You would lick it if it was saved – so you sadly stand up from the edge of the bed to wash it.
“Yeah…” he said, still panting. “Thanks babe. That was really necessary!”
You only chuckled. “If I would not, you would continue begging in my ears for sure. However, we had a deal. Time to bath!”
He only nod and tried to sit up, but failed. “Wait, let me help you” you said and took him over your shoulder. “Seems the meds are not working today.” You took the boyfriend into the bath, exchanged the sheets again and continued the paper work.
From the third day, Adaman got slightly better each day. He stopped coughing and sniffling – and on day four, the fever slowly went down. He could walk around the hut but you glared angrily at him when he tried to do some paper work.
“You still have some problems with headaches. As long as you cannot think straight without feeling of a pulsing head – Bed!” He obeyed and went back. “But cuddles are valid?”
Adaman put on his puppy face he learnt from Leafeon when it tried to get extra snacks. It was super effective, so you put away your paper work and made yourself comfortable next to your boyfriend. He laid his head on your chest while you caress behind his ears which let him purr a bit…just like Leafeon. The son learnt from the father.
You truly lost track in time when you fall asleep in this lovely embrace.
In the early morning, you could feel the weight shifting in bed. You slowly opened the eyes and saw the little raw light of the rising sun – way too early for you.
“Morning love” you heard and felt soft lips on your forehead.
“Goddamn Adaman…” you yawned. “For the love of Dialga, it’s fucking early. Let me sleep”
He only chuckled. “But love, it will be a busy day for me today. Now is the only time where I can you reward you properly for taking care of me.”

Summary: With help from the Lake Guardians, Team Conductors and the Nobles finally start to understand what’s going on.
Author’s Notes: It is at this point you find out that I’m using a popular headcanon/theory about a certain PLA character for this AU.
This chapter is A Lot and I’m sorry, but it’s verrrry necessary.
Also! If you haven’t heard, PLEASE check out the new Lost Tracks of Time: Derailed chapters! Yes, plural. It was so big, I had to split it into 2 chapters! It’s the one decided by the poll! Ingo gets frenzied like in Legends Arceus. I really like how it turned out, so check it out!
Thank you @furiouskettle! You know what you did! And everyone else, if you haven’t, please check out their art!

Sneasler, with Ingo walking next to her and Emmet in her basket, entered Celestica Town. The Pelliper Post Office was almost fully repaired. The Rescue Tree hidden by fire-resistant walls inside the building that looked like a bandaged up Pelipper. All nine of the other Nobles gathered in a ring along with Azelf, Mespirit, and Uxie. Sneasler and Ingo joined the circle when Electrode and Arcanine made room for them.
“All of the Nobles are present. Now we can begin,” Azelf said.
“What? No guildmasters this time?” Sneasler asked.
“What we must discuss with you is more pressing than waiting for them,” Uxie said.
“In that case, I want to start with the most pressing question we’ve had since we found you three in comas: who attacked you? Who is responsible for the making of the Red Chains and forcing us to steal the 18 Plates?” Kleavor asked.
The Lake Trio spoke as one. “Beheeyem.”
The gems on their foreheads glowed. Ingo’s vision washed away in a rush of red light and was replaced by a scene of a cave. He thought of the island cave in Lake Verity and felt its damp atmosphere once more. The puddles, cave walls, and stalagmites shifted in location and faded in and out of existence, as though three different versions of the same event fought for dominance.
A strange pokemon stood in front of Ingo. He quickly realized this was Beheeyem. The pokemon wore a backpack with a blanket rolled on the top. Even though his arms were withdrawn and hands held together in shyness, the pokemon in his vision sent chills down Ingo’s spine.
“Hello.” The three dots on Beheeyem’s hand flashed as they used telepathy to communicate. “Sorry to bother you, but I need your Plumes, Claws, Fangs, and I need a lot of them.” He did not say the names of the three pieces of the Red Chain in succession in the vision. Instead, the words overlapped, creating a strange echoing effect worsened by the pokemon’s droning voice.
With another red flash, Ingo’s vision returned to normalcy. He inferred that all the Nobles saw the same thing he did.
“There it is. Beheeyem was the one that took pieces of our souls to craft 13 Red Chains,” Azelf said.
“How did that pokemon manage to defeat all three of you?” Wyrdeer asked.
“I do not wish to think of our battle. It was… infuriating,” Mespirit said. “He had attacks come from nowhere, he hit like Regigigas after their Slow Start faded…!” All the other pokemon in the meeting felt Mespirit’s anger – literally. Mespirit’s rage at their own failure at fending off an attacker welled up as the crowd’s own fury.
“Regardless, that is in the past. What matters is what we do next,” Uxie said. Uxie’s words made Mespirit’s anger dissipate.
“Right! There are only two Chains left. Once one of them is destroyed, we can locate and destroy the last one,” Azelf said. “And our full powers will be restored.”
“Beheeyem must have the last two Chains,” Kleavor said.
“But then, where is he?” Ursaluna asked.
“I can shed some light, but first I must tell you all something important: all of you Nobles have had your memories manipulated,” Uxie said.
Ingo and Sneasler watched the other Nobles as they were taken back by surprise. “Welcome to my world…” she whispered.
“It was Beheeyem’s doing as well,” Uxie said. “He hid some of your inherited memories, all from the same time period. Do not worry. I can lift the veil with ease.”
Uxie’s gems glowed. Ingo noted how Uxie didn’t need to get close and contact the ten Nobles to uncover their memories, unlike with Emmet. After a few seconds, Uxie’s gems stopped glowing.
“Hm, I don’t feel different.” Arcanine tilted his head.
Uxie expected that comment. “Allow me to say one name to prove to you all that I did my job: Volo.”
Ingo saw each of the Nobles light up as though lightning struck them. Even Sneasler’s eyes widened as she shouted, “That bitch!”
“O-Our memories of Hisui and Volo were hidden?” Lilligant asked.
“Correct,” Uxie said.
“Wasn’t stealing the Plates Volo’s plan? Is that why I’ve been getting mad déjà vu?” Braviary said.
“Well, getting Chained has made us act like we were Frenzied,” Electrode said. “How peculiar that history repeats…”
“Do you think he’s still alive?” Arcanine asked.
“B-But wouldn’t he have been killed when the other humans were…?” Lilligant asked.
“If it’s really Volo, then I wouldn’t doubt him still being around,” Wyrdeer said.
“Pardon me, Nobles, but may I ask you something? You talk of this Volo person, who I’m assuming was a villain from Hisuian times. But it sounds like he was a human. Why do you talk about him like he could still be alive several centuries later?” Ingo asked. Even he knew that humans couldn’t stay alive for that long.
“Oh right, you don’t know. Long story short, Volo was immortal,” Sneasler said. She and Ingo talked as the other Nobles continued discussing their theories.
“Is that so? How does a human become immortal?” Ingo asked.
Sneasler shrugged. “Beats me. He tried to summon Arceus and destroy the world, and then he becomes immortal?? Seems weird. Then again, based on what happened to you and Emmet, it’s clear the Almighty is a little screwed in the head.”
“Was Volo the reason Ingo was sent to Hisui?” Emmet asked from inside Sneasler’s basket.
“Yeah, pretty much,” Sneasler said.
“…Okay.” Despite Emmet’s normal tone, Ingo and Sneasler both detected a strange aura from Sneasler’s basket. Only Ingo noticed the subtle malice in Emmet’s voice.
“Hold on! We’d know if a human was still strollin’ around!” Avalugg’s voice gained the attention of the entire group.
“So… he finally reincarnated?” Braviary said.
“And got his past life’s memories again?” Ursaluna asked like it was a ridiculous suggestion.
“Maybe him being immortal made him keep his memories? I don’t know either!” Braviary threw up his wings in a huff.
“If Volo is trying the same foolish plan, he’s probably going to Spear Pillar to summon Arceus again,” Basculegion said.
“Can he do that with only 17 Plates?” Wyrdeer asked. “Not even Akari was able to call upon Arceus without all the Plates.”
“The man was desperate, so he might still try it,” Kleavor said. “Besides, do we have another lead on his plan?”
Braviary noticed Ingo’s wrist and did a short flying hop to him. “Hey, Ingo. Your Arc Watch looks different.”
The other Nobles looked at Ingo.
“Yes! Rei from Team Galaxy repaired my watch and got it back to operating condition,” Ingo said.
“…Ingo, does the watch say anything about a mission for you?” Wyrdeer asked.
“There was a message on the screen when I first activated it. It read, “Rescue the Deep Shadow”,” Ingo said. “Does that title mean anything to you?”
Sneasler did a double take at Ingo. “That’s what it said?!”
“So it does mean something significant!” Ingo said.
“The Deep Shadow is Giratina,” Electrode said.
Ingo's heart jumped. “Who is Giratina? That name sounds familiar.”
“Giratina is one of the Almighty pokemon, along with Dialga and Palkia,” Uxie said. “They rule over the Distortion World, a realm opposite to ours.”
“And now they need rescuing. Oh, this is so, so much worse than we thought,” Wyrdeer said.
Mespirit flew up above the town and stared at Mt. Coronet. Mespirit’s eyes went wide.  Azelf and Uxie noticed this.
Kleavor stepped forward to Ingo and Sneasler. “Ingo, you have the Arc Watch, and you have a mission from Arceus themself. If this truly is Volo trying once again to destroy the world, then you have to be the one to stop him.”
Sneasler felt the weight of her basket shift. Emmet popped off the top of the basket and poked his head out.
“Me? Are you certain about that?” Ingo fidgeted with his coat sleeves. “There must be a mistake. And even if there wasn’t, I could not possibly complete that journey on my own.”
“Who said you would need to be alone? Aren’t you in a rescue team?” Wyrdeer asked.
“Yeah, doofus.” Sneasler gently nudged Ingo’s shoulder. “But also, are you guys serious?!”
“I don’t joke, Sneasler,” Kleavor said. He stood directly over Sneasler. “Guide Ingo to the top to the Mt. Coronet mystery dungeon and reach Spear Pillar. Can you fulfill that duty as a Noble, Sneasler?”
Sneasler’s brows furrowed. “Uh… yeah. Yeah, I can do that.”
“Good.” Kleavor stepped back to address the other Nobles. “Now, as for the rest of us…”
“Before you leave, I’ve got somethin’ worryin’ for ya to see.” One of the senior Pelippers flew out of the post office entrance. When he was in the center of the group, he spat out several rescue request letters.
Ingo jumped to the pile. He grabbed one and ripped it open with his claws.
“I was in Coronet Mountain when it suddenly turned dark! The sky looks so weird! I think I’m on floor 36. Please help me! -Probopass”
“It’s a Distorted Floor request,” Ingo said.
“So is this one, but it’s on floor 73.” Sneasler held up two opened requests. “And this one is on… floor 119, holy crap.”
“Floor 12, floor 97, floor 148, floor 59…” Lilligant used Leaf Blade to open all the envelopes in a couple swoops. She sped through one request after another, reading off the floor numbers.
“These are all from Coronet Mountain?!” Wyrdeer stared at the pile of letters. He had no idea how they all fit in Pelliper’s mouth.
“Aye. The letters rained down like a bad storm, and they all talk about the dark floors,” Pelliper said. “There’s more in the office, too.”
“What in the world…” Azelf’s mouth hanged open. They and Uxie had joined in Mespirit’s observation of the mountain.
“I… feel the fear, the despair of hundreds of pokemon…” Mespirit said.
“Hundreds?!” “What do you mean hundreds?” Ingo wasn’t sure who said those questions. His mind was already racing from the implications of Mespirit’s claim.
“The entire Coronet Mountain mystery dungeon has just become Distorted,” Uxie said. “Every floor is now a Distorted Floor. Every. Single. Floor.”
“But I sense something else strange… At the top of the dungeon, there is… fury and hope and ill-intent. That is not a pokemon in need of rescue,” Mespirit said.
“Well, that confirms his location, doesn’t it?” Basculegion said.
“Everyone, get to Coronet Mountain!” Kleavor swung his axe around and pointed at the mountain. “Sneasler, guide your team to the highest entry point and get to Spear Pillar immediately. Everyone else, make your preparations and begin the rescues!”
Wyrdeer stomped on the ground. “You heard him! We are the Original Rescuers, the ones blessed with the power to save all pokemon who need our help. This is our duty! We cannot fail!”
The Nobles cheered. Sneasler didn’t cheer but did offer some clapping. Ingo also joined in her applause.
“If I may ask, could you inform the guilds of your plan? I am positive they would want to assist you!” Ingo said.
“If that is your wish, then yes, we can do that!” Wyrdeer stomped a hoof into the ground. “Is everyone’s missions clear? If so, then… GO!”
Kleavor, Arcanine, and Ursaluna ran west to the Pearl Guild. Avalugg followed behind them at a slower pace. Basculegion, Lilligant, Wyrdeer, and Braviary went to the south toward the Diamond Guild. The Lake Trio flew away, not toward Mt. Coronet but to an area where they can talk in private. This left Sneasler, Electrode, and the twins in Celestica Town, as Pelliper reentered the post office. Electrode planned to leave but stayed upon realizing Sneasler and her Sneasels did not leave immediately.
“You doing okay, guys?” Sneasler asked Ingo and Emmet.
“Well, once we have Chandelure and Eelektross board our train, we should be ready to depart,” Ingo said.
“No. That’s not what I meant, and you know it.” Sneasler pointed to the ground.
“I didn’t know it, but now I do, I think.” Ingo closed his eyes and pinched the visor of his hat. “…It feels like I am in a nightmare.”
“Why?” Emmet asked.
“A good question. I suppose it’s because of the sudden cavalcade of stops as of late. Mt. Coronet distorting, a villain from the past returning, and… being tasked with effectively saving the world.” Ingo wrung his hands and twiddled his claws. “That… can’t be my role. I still don’t have my memories, but a distinct feeling lives in my heart that I am simply supposed to aid guests. From what I understand about train conductors, we guide others to their destinations, which aligns with the feeling I have. As for being a Warden… Sneasler, was my role in Hisui similar?”
“Uh…” Sneasler crossed her arms to think. She turned her gaze away from Ingo. With Ingo’s sad speech, she thought of lying and saying that he was a main figure and direct force in saving the world and stopping Volo, but the other Nobles would disprove it without an ounce of tact. “…Maybe a little.”
“Perhaps the Nobles are mistaken.” Ingo took off his Arc Watch. “Emmet, please take the watch. Will it work for you as it does for me?”
“What is that gonna prove??” Sneasler asked.
“The watch darkens in the hands of everyone except mine, but Emmet might be able to operate it. Arceus thought Emmet and I were interchangeable, after all. If he can, then that must mean that he is as qualified to rescue Giratina as I am. In fact, I know he is more qualified than me! He climbed Mt. Coronet and faced Arceus when his goal was to meet with me! His determination and dedication cannot be matched.”
“Ingo…” Emmet was never the best at explaining his thoughts, but he couldn’t even begin to decipher the implications of what Ingo just said about himself.
“Is it truly that hard to believe that you could be important, too, little one?” Electrode asked.
Ingo tossed the watch to Emmet. The screen went dark as soon as it left Ingo’s hands, but when Emmet caught it, the screen flickered on again.
“Wait, what?” Sneasler saw the screen light up in the corner of her vision. “Can you actually use it, Emmet?!”
“…Yes.” Emmet said as he scrolled through the map of Celestica Town. He gave a pleasantly confused glance to Ingo.
Ingo took a brief sigh of relief. “Emmet, I will happily lead you to Spear Pillar. I will do what I can to assist you in the coming battle!”
“I do want to battle Volo.” Emmet’s smile turned dark. Even if it was some reincarnation, Volo was the reason Arceus kidnapped Ingo, so he wanted to battle him.
“Wait wait wait, no! NO! We are NOT taking Emmet to Mt. Coronet!” Sneasler gritted her teeth.
“Why not?” Emmet asked.
“Did you… Did you seriously ask why?!” Sneasler took off her basket and placed it next to Ingo so that she could face both Sneasels at once. “You’re injured, Emmet! Look at your chest!” She pointed to the leafy bandage wrapped around Emmet’s upper chest. “Do you really think you can battle someone like that?!”
“Our destination is a Distorted Dungeon. The only pokemon inside are ones who want to be rescued. Mt. Coronet is a long dungeon. My wound will heal before we reach our last stop,” Emmet said.
“How are you sure about that?” Sneasler crossed her arms and glared at Emmet.
Emmet opened his mouth respond but found that words failed him. It took days for Ingo’s crack to heal, and even he could see the faint remnants of the injury when he looked closely enough. It had only been five hours since Emmet regained his memories and his gem cracked. He still felt like a human pretending to be a Sneasel instead of a human transformed into one. His own fur made him itch, and he fidgeted with his coat to get used to manipulating two claws instead of five fingers again. He might get to use pokemon attacks soon, but first he had to remember how to be a Sneasel.
“Yeah, thought so. Emmet, you’re staying at the guild. Eelektross can watch over you, and I’ll take Ingo and Chandelure to Spear Pillar. Got that?” She pointed to Emmet.
“No.” Emmet practically growled that word out. He pointed at Sneasler with anger on his face.
“…Alright. I’ll bite. You two, give me one good reason for Emmet to come along with us.” Sneasler crossed her arms.
Ingo and Emmet shared a glance.
“…Because this isn’t the first occurrence of us trying to separate our team’s train,” Ingo said. “And with both instances, it ended with us needing to be rescued and us regretting splitting apart.”
“We are a team, Sneasler,” Emmet said. "We are a team."
Sneasler grimaced. “…Let me think about it. For now, I guess we can start our trip to the Pearl Guild and...“ Sneasler’s frustrated expression was instantly replaced by sheer confusion. “Wait a minute.”
“Is something wrong, my dear?” Electrode asked. “Well, besides everything that has gone wrong lately.”
Sneasler ruffled the fur on her head. “Okay… Diamond Guild. They have housekeepers, too, right?”
“Yes… why do you ask?” Electrode scrunched her brows.
“Who are they? Give me names.”
“Let’s see… there’s Sabi the Natu, she’s the gate guardian. There’s Mai, a Munchlax, she’s a nurse. There’s Iscan the Chatot, he picks up mail and does chores with Arezu, and Melli the Skuntank… I don’t know if he actually does anything useful…” Electrode hopped into the air without warning. ” Now wait a gosh darn second!”
“The Pearl Guild and the Diamond Guild… Hell, there’s even a Team Galaxy!” Sneasler’s fur got ruffled up as she continued thinking. “There’s a Galaxy Team, Electrode! What the hell?!”
“Are… Are you two alright?” Ingo said. Next to him, Emmet raised his eyebrows at the two Nobles.
“Why are all the main people from the Pearl and Diamond Clans reincarnated at the same time?!” Sneasler asked.
“Clans?” Emmet asked.
“Okay okay… So, when Ingo time travelled to Hisui, he joined the Pearl Clan as a Warden. Irida was the leader of the Pearl Clan, and the other Wardens for the Nobles were Lian, Calaba, Palina, and Gaeric,” Sneasler said. After she said that, she made a face at Ingo like he was supposed to realize the same thing she did.
“Reincarnation exists. This is not different, right?” Emmet asked.
“Well, one or two of them appearing again wouldn’t be weird,” Electrode said. “A lot of times, people who were deeply connected in life will be reborn at similar times. But that’s maybe two, three souls at most. Eleven humans from the same time – no, twelve if we include Volo – all being reincarnated at the same time? That’s… unheard of.”
“And it’s fifteen if we include Team Galaxy. Right when I thought we were getting answers about shit, too…” Sneasler groaned and buried her face in her hands.
“Sneasler, we should make our journey to the Pearl Guild. We are already behind schedule!” Ingo said.
“…Yeah. Let’s pick up Chandelure and Eelektross and go,” Sneasler said.
“I should make my way to Coronet Mountain as well. Good luck, my dears,” Electrode said. She nodded her body as a strange bow and rolled away.
“Are you ready?” Ingo asked both Sneasler and Emmet. Emmet nodded and replaced the lid on Sneasler’s basket.
“Yeah. All aboard.” Sneasler put back on her basket with Emmet still inside. She wanted to just close her eyes and let her muscle memory take her back to the guild. They walked along it so many times, she lost track.
Walking next to Sneasler was Ingo. His wrist felt naked without the Arc Watch. Even though he was glad that Emmet would accompany them, he had to admit that it was a selfish desire. Sneasler was right; it would be better for him to stay at the Pearl Guild to recover. But there was also no denying the relief he felt that Emmet would be there on their journey to Spear Pillar.
Inside the basket, Emmet reminisced on the memories as they gradually returned. He closed his eyes and found himself thinking of Unova’s subways. The rumbling of Sneasler’s walking closely resembled the shaking of the train cars. Though it soothed some of his discomfort, Emmet couldn’t find himself relaxing. If the person who caused Ingo’s kidnapping was still around, how could he relax? Emmet would take the chance for revenge, the chance to enact justice, the chance to make things right.
As for Sneasler, she wondered how she got so involved with two time-travelling self-destructive train Sneasels.

HEAVY POSTGAME POKEMON LEGENDS ARCEUS SPOILERS
And also Long Post warning, just thought I'd add
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After seeing some playthroughs of Pokemon Legends Arcrus, I realize that the latest Pokemas sinnoh content has a lot of reference to it. Examples are Cyrus' SS scarf resembling the survey corps' scarf and Dialga warning Lucas about Palkia and siding with him during the confrontation. (Since Cyrus already has Palkia)
But I think most of it comes from Cynthia's SSR itself, especially knowing that Volo–her ancestor–has ties with Giratina. Not only that, in Cynthia's SSR pair story, Giratina isn't bound by pokeball. It travels between worlds as it see fit, which happens just when Cynthia is investigating some ruins and also taking interest in in it. (Keep in mind, Volo's foundation on his research and our plate errands stems from ruins too)
This, paired with the fact that SSR Cynthia's battle theme is PRACTICALLY Volo's theme (nevermind that they were both originally Cynthia's encounter theme, the resemblance is UNCANNY) kinda leads to a theory:
Giratina isn't a benelovent pokemon like SSR Cynthia said. It just appeared that way to Cynthia because of her ties with Volo.
(Edit: saw a post floating around saying Griatina got character development after Volo shenanigans so the first half might not have as much juice)
After all, Giratina got banished for a reason. It's because of those circumstances that Volo sought it out in hopes of meeting Arceus. Though Volo may not have a bond with Giratina, the reverse certainly did.
Because of that, it certainly makes sense that it would recognise Volo in Cynthia, thus being nice to her and forming a Sync Pair.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
