going to be so totally honest, im willing to sit through ANY amount of spock straightness love triangle subplots as long as SNW keeps up the 'giving compelling characterization to female characters' energy because holy shit how incredible has this season been so far? uhura, la'an, number one, chapel, and ortegas have all had iconic spotlight arcs where they just Do Shit, who even cares about spock at this point (and im saying this as someone who chronically and autistically Cares About Spock)

i can’t help but lol when i see ppl make comments like ‘oh this is the last time we’ll see emotional spock 😔’ as if his entire personality is due to his relationship with christine. he’s been a beloved character for 60 yrs bruh. hate to break it to you. but that ain’t it. he doesn’t like “shut down” after they break up. he doesn’t turn off his emotions like a fucking vampire lol. he GROWS. he grows because these experiences make him realize more about HIMSELF. these relationships w t’pring and christine are formative (and paralleled), and he grows beyond them. he learns about himself. the spock we know and love in tos is confident, sassy, sensitive, logical and emotional.

he is this way due to the years he’s had to grow. snw is six yrs before tos. the love and acceptance from the spark of magic that is kirk, spock, and bones make spock shine. like spock continues to be emotional???? he just grows into himself and learns how/what he wants to express. what show are yall watching

I burst into tears when I finally published this, partly because I was so relieved to have this finished, but also because I love La'an so much and I never expected to ship her and Una, but turns out I really do, but only in a very specific way, where they have to work hard for their happy ending.

Bottom Spock Week 2025 Rules and Guidelines

By familiarizing yourself with the rules of this event you will be guaranteed a pleasant and rewarding Bottom Spock Week experience. Rules are as follows:

This event is 18+ due to the explicit or, at the very least, mature nature of its premise.

Any medium of fanwork is allowed. Fanart, fanfiction, essays, edits, other vis. or audio medias, etc are all permitted!

Fanwork must feature Spock bottoming in some way - how you interpret this and how explicitly you portray this is up to you. This is the only stipulation for entering work to this event.

Any Spock pairing (or lack thereof) is permitted. This is event is not centered around Spirk or any one specific ship. Crackships and rarepairs welcome. Solo/gen fanworks are also welcome so long as they meet this event's one stipulation.

Any Spock is permitted. This is not a TOS centric event - AOS, SNW, and any other Spocks you can think of are game for exploration.

Prompts not mandatory, but will be provided. For each of the seven days of the event, 3 prompts will be given to use/choose from. Prompt suggestion and voting will commence far in advance to start of the event.

Fanworks must have appropriate content warnings. Internet etiquette around any sensitive content you include in your works should be followed. This means tagging/adding warnings to works where sensitive content is present.

Use of AI is strictly prohibited. Any fanworks made using AI will not be accepted as submissions.

Harassment will not be tolerated. All participants will be treated with courtesy.

Late submissions always accepted. If your fanworks are ready after the scheduled week has ended please still submit what you have - Bottom Spock Week and its affiliated accounts and collections will still accept and archive your submissions.

I think confession blogs should be for expressing opinions which are unpopular or embarrassing/guilty pleasures. That’s what makes them fun to read.

If people look in the SNW tags they will find that disliking SNW Spock, the Vulcan bioessentialism in Charades and the S3 clip and concerns around the Gorn are incredibly popular opinions - even among SNW fans - and talked about ad nauseum.

I can only conclude that people ‘confessing’ about those things are involved/experienced enough at fandom/tumblr to notice the majority of fans agree with them or they’re just using this blog to complain about how much they hate something to a wider audience than their regular blogs can achieve.

Anyway, it’s boring. I think you should consider not reposting confessions where pretty much the exact same thing has been ‘confessed’ more than three times already.

I’d mean less for you and more fun for the readers.

Who said that confessions have to be unpopular or embarrassing, or only come once, to qualify for this blog? Should I have binned the confessions that love Voyager and Enterprise, or the ones who thirst for Data, the ones who are critical of AOS, Jack Crusher, Bashir's bouts of bad characterization with women, every confession that was popular and/or was similar to another? So imagine a new fan spends months binge watching the whole franchise, and they have a lot of opinions, and they want to complain a bit about AOS and PICARD and SNW (this was my experience, only I didn't have an anonymous platform) and in their rush they find this blog and don't have the time or the energy to look for confessions that match their own. Or maybe they still want to use their words. Or they just really want to see their words on the blog. All valid reasons. I find the confession, and I think "Oh, another confession that hates on AOS/PIC/SNW. There's a lot of those so I'll just delete this one." I ask you, is this fair? Achieving more views for an opinion is one purpose of this blog (though to be honest, how popular each specific confession gets is entirely out of my or the OPs' hands; most of this blog's confessions never reach 100 notes), and sometimes some of those opinions will suck to you personally. If only you knew how many I see that I don't like... and yet here I am still. I didn't think I'd have to say this but no I cannot reject a confession because it's a subject repeated ad nauseam and it's personally annoying for a certain group of fans. I'm sorry you think it's boring, and believe me that sometimes I agree, but if you can't ignore and scroll, you can block the tags critical confession, anti strange new worlds, anti snw, the tags that I make sure to include in the posts? I realize most blogs that make critical posts about it don't bother with anti tags, but that is not on me or the people I run this blog for. If I mess up and you need me to change/add tags, can you notify me in a comment so I can fix it? People, I'm trying to be neutral for everyone and give everybody the means to avoid reading things you don't like, as much as I am able. Are you making good use of them?
