Boom this is Seki (it’s a nickname but I don’t actually have a full name for him so it’s just been Seki for years now). He’s a pirate and Snotlout’s kinda boyfriend/fling,,,,it’s probably a situationship for a long time.

- he is a pirate and runs into the riders, has a fling with Snotlout after a night of drinking and singing. He pulls the ultimate pirate/sailor move and sails away and probably sings songs about his escapes with the riders (rip Snotlout)

- at some point they meet up again, they would either be a couple or just be close friends

- they wrestle and talk about being muscley. Despite being 5’3 he could absolutely manhandle Snotlout around.

- this dude is a himbo, also kinda has Eret vibes ngl

- sad backstory (got kidnapped at a young age but eventually got escaped onto another ship. The pirates there were a bit nicer and took him in. For years he wanted to find his home again, but he had no name and very little memories, when he’s probs 19 or so he finds it and meets his family. He stays there for a year but the call of this sea is to hard to resist so he gets his own crew and sets off to sail and explore once more).

- when I was looking for old records I found that my original version of him was a mermaid girl that Snotlout saved from a prison and had blue hair. He broke off and became his own thing separate from httyd, evolving into this, but Snotlout came back due to sea shanties and sparked my memory. So now he’s trans and his blue hair tie is a reference to his previous hair colour.

- good growley/guttural singer - loves clapping and dancing in a circle while singing.

- tries and fails to keep his clothes from tearing but he’s pretty clumsy all things considered. Snotlout sewed up his outfits at one point, it didn’t last.

- the gold buckles on his shoes are just pieces of gold he stole and decided to make into an accessory and tied them onto his shoes.

- The ties on this waist come from his older clothing. He keeps them as reminders of the stages of his life.

Footsteps thunder through the forest, one feather-like, the other bouldering after. Leaves and twigs snap back and forth as the two vikings run, the reason for running an outsider may not know. 

“Ingvild!” the boulder shouted. “Give me back my helmet!”

The feather turned around and held the desired item up high so the boulder could see. “Why? You compensating for something, Snotlout?” She stuck out her tongue, and delved deeper into the dark timber. Snotlout stopped to catch his breath, bending over at the waist with his hands on his knees.

“Fine! You win! Can I have my helmet back please? Ingvild?” Snotlout shouted into the dark, not knowing where the feather was lurking. Sneaking up behind Snotlout, Ingvild raised her hands above her head, the helmet now placed on her crown, and struck her hands on the unsuspecting boulder’s shoulders.

“BOO!”

All that was heard was a shriek that one might think came from a little girl, when in reality it was a grown Snotlout. Ingvild wasn’t prepared for the shriek, so it was no shock that the feather covered her ears to block the sound that came out of the boulder. Once Snotlout realized what happened, he looked around and cleared his throat.

“*ahem* Uh huh, that-that didn’t scare me one bit,” he crossed his arms to prove that he went unfazed after the scare.

“Oh really now?” Ingvild questioned. She began to stalk towards Snotlout, making the viking walk back towards the nearest oak. His back hit the ruff bark, her hands cornered his noggin on either side so his only focus was on her, which was her downfall.

“If I didn’t scare you then why can I hear your heartbeat?” The boulder looked the feather up and down, and the boulder cracked.

“Because you look cute with my helmet on,” Snotlout looked Ingvild dead in the eye, she stepped back shocked at what he said. Immediately the hunk of metal went flying towards Snotlout, it was caught without trouble, she turned her back towards the viking, flustered at what was just revealed. Her hands shot up to cover her mouth, thoughts running just like she did, wondering what just happened.

Snotlout readjusted his helmet, now smirking as the tables have turned in his favor, he crept slowly towards the feather, soon enough his breath warmed the back of Ingvild’s neck. Widening his arm span, he swung them back inwards towards her body, gripping her in a bear hug.

“And,” he breathed. “You look beautiful no matter what.” She spun around within his arms, not believing a word Snotlout was saying.

“Snotlout, I-,” before any other words could come out, he picked her up at the waist and threw her over his shoulder, Ingvild’s view now showed her where they were just standing. “Snotlout! Put me down! I am perfectly capable of walking myself!”

“Not a chance babe, last time I let ya walk freely I lost something very dear to me,” the boulder continued on unbothered at what happened a few moments earlier, as if the viking on his shoulders didn’t weigh a thing, and with his pride intact.

The feather didn’t like the predicament she was in, but she didn’t mind it either, the boulder was very soft with her, despite his exterior. She could always count on him to not ruffle her, even if it was for fun and games. And, he could break open and show her his crystals knowing that she would admire him for him and not his exterior.

Httyd, Next Gen.

IVE DONE IT, PEOPLE!

After days of writing, trying to find proper names, and (trying to) make it as accurate as possible, I present to you my version of the next generation of dragon riders in httyd (in this AU)!

*(Btw, the descriptions are from a series of stories im making, so it will contain a shit-ton of lore. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!)

Zephyr Haddock - The eldest of the Haddock children, and the future heir to Berk. She reflects her fathers sarcasticness and creativity. She rides a Stromcutter she named Skysplitter. She is also the unofficial leader of the next generation of Dragon Riders, and is willing to protect all of them, especially Nuffink, when they are in danger. She often feels pressured by this new role, due to the fact she was placed in it overnight, but is guided by Avery. She feels guilty and feels as if it is her fault that her parents, and Berk, are in the state they are in in the first place. She doesn't like to talk about it all that much.

Nuffink Haddock - The youngest of the Haddock children, and while not the heir, still the Chief’s son. Unlike Zephyr, he reflects his mother’s traits of being adventurous and brash. He rides a green Nadder named Buckwing. He tries to help Zephyr the best he can on Dragon’s Edge, but sometimes goofs off with the cousins and Eira. He doesn’t like hearing about Berk, because it reminds him of his parents and the condition they are in.

Scullnut Thorston-Jorgenson - The son of Snotlout and Tuffnut (fraternal mother was Ruffnut). He inherits both of his fathers’ chaotic personalities, while also reflecting their loyalty to their old team. He rides a Typhoomerang named Glowtorch. When he escaped from Berk, Thornut wasn’t on the best terms with his parents (there will be TONS of context on that later). He feels guilty about it, and often feels like they ended up in their condition because of him. He takes his guilt out on the other riders in various forms, like questioning Zephyr’s leading, disobeying Avery and running amok on Dragon’s Edge with the cousins, and often zoning out during combat lectures. (He just doesn’t know any other way to deal with it, and certainly is not the type to talk about his problems).

Runa Ingerman - The daughter of Ruffnut and Fishlegs. She inherited Ruffnut’s chaotic personality and Fishlegs’s love for dragons, so the result was a chaotic love for dragons (I seriously don’t know how that would work out). Runa rides Fogs and Gust, a Zippleback from the Hidden World. She and Scullnut are thicker than the hairiest yak on Berk, because I mean, they are cousins, after all. They often secretly go on little adventures around Dragon’s Edge, just to loosen up a little. They also try not to think of the state Berk, and their parents, are in, afraid of what might’ve happened to them.

Arne - The eldest child of Dagur and Mala, and the future heir of the Defenders of the Wing, and the Berserkers. He reflects his mother’s traits, being calm and collected in times of danger, and knowing when the right time is to strike. He rides a Thunderdrum he named Waves, and often helps Zephyr as second-in-command of the riders, and keeps everyone, especially Eira, in check. He also comforts the riders when they feel at their lowest, and assures them that they are going to defeat Zelda and get their islands and people back.

Eira - The youngest child of Dagur and Mala. She inherited her father’s red hair and wild personality, and his fighting skills as well. She rides a Triple Strike named Wildeye. She has a hobby of chasing some of the Night Terrors around Dragon’s Edge, along with the cousins (Runa and Scullnut). Sometimes even Nuffink joins them as well. But Eira does have a more serious side to her. She looks up to both of her parents (mostly her father), and refuses to believe that he fell to a crazy lady and her dragon. So, whenever someone mentions him or anything related to him, she goes quiet and isolates herself for the rest of the day.

Personality: Quiet and tends to keep to himself and stay out of people's way and problems. Likes to tease his younger siblings especially Baldur about Zephyr.

Misc: He made a vow to never ride a dragon again after he gave up his position as first in line for the throne to devote all his time to the eruptodon effectively passing the throne to his younger sister Eula.

Name: Solvig

Eye color: Green

Dragon: Eruptodon (doesn't ride)

Age: 22

Parents: Throk and Atali

Weapon of Choice: Katana

Relationship status: Just married to Oswald

Occupation: Eruptodon protector

Personality: She is very friendly and always willing to help those around her. She is just as courageous as both her parents and is quick on her feet.

Misc: She just like her father has always had a strong connection with the eruptodon and vowed to always protect it. Also made a vow to never ride a dragon once she became the protector.

Personality: She is very well spoken and a great debater. She prefers to be off of the island she grew up on but makes sure to visit her family as often as possible.

Misc: She was always so fascinated and amazed by Atali’s story of being a Wingmaiden that when she was old enough she decided to pass her claim to the throne of Defenders of the wing to her younger brother Baldur and become a Wingmaiden herself.

Personality: He tends to get very fixated on certain things and start to disregard the things happening around him. He is also very stubborn and will treat people the very same way that they treat him

Misc: He is currently first in line for the throne of the Defenders of the Wing and has no plans to give it up. He has every intention of marrying Zephyr and making her Queen of the Defenders of the Wing.

Personality: She inherited her father’s fierce loyalty but is very naturally aggressive like her mother. She is a very skilled warrior and plans to one day join the Berkian Guard

Misc: She loves to cook and make her friends treats to cheer them up when they are sad so now she knows what all the riders favorite sweets are and can bribe them into doing patrol or other chores. Her best friend is Zephyr.

Personality: She has a very similar personality as in Homecoming just more mature and willing to listen to what the older vikings are trying to tell her before jumping to conclusions. She is also the most knowledgeable about dragons out of all the children and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect them to the point of often having to be dragged away by her friends for her own safety or even Dart refusing to cooperate with her anymore

Misc: She enjoys reading the book of dragons and training with her mother. She also got her father's ability to create useful inventions. Her best friend is Ericka

Dragon: Nightlight named Pouncer

Age: 15

Parents: Hiccup and Astrid

Weapon of Choice: Battle axe

Relationship status: Dating Thyra

Occupation: Dragon rider

Personality: Very similar to his personality in Homecoming but more mature. He is still very rambunctious and likes to try all of his father’s aerial tricks that he was told about as a young kid. His favorite pastimes are flying with Pouncer and annoying Zephyr.

Misc: With the very real possibility of his sister marrying Baldur he is most likely to become the next chief of Berk.

Eye color: Purplish Blue

Dragon: Monstrous Nightmare named Ember

Parents: Snotlout and Ruffnut

Weapon of Choice: War hammer

Relationship status: Dating Nuffink

Occupation:Dragon rider

Personality: Thyra is very confident in her abilities and is willing to spar with anyone who offers. Unlike her dad she isn't afraid to not take first (breaking generational trauma from snotlout). She tends to spoil her dragon and treat her as the most important living thing in the world.

Misc: She is the most competitive of all the children and likes to follow Hiccup around and annoy him until he is quite literally just chasing her away.

Dragon: Deadly Nadder named Attor

Age: 15

Parents: Snotlout and Ruffnut

Weapon of Choice: Spear

Relationship status: Flirty with Skjor

Occupation: Dragon rider

Personality: She is extremely girly and likes to focus on how she looks over fighting the other kids. She wants to be a healer like her mother (yes I headcanon Ruff as the healer after Gothi)

Misc: She and Attor like to look in the reflection of shields to preen. She tends to get distracted while fixing her hair or grooming her dragon and will miss important details in a conversation. She is still very useful in a battle and will take down enemies in style. She and Astrid have bonded over having Nadders and she has learned a few tricks from her.

Dragon: Razorwhip named Wingnut

Parents: Fishlegs and Heather

Weapon of Choice: Double ended axe

Relationship status: Likes Tove

Occupation: Dragon rider

Personality: Skjor is the perfect mix of both his parents with his father’s love of learning and dragons and his mother's survival instincts. He loves adventure and journaling.

Misc: He met Wingnut when he got stuck on a random island and used the survival skills his mother taught him. First in line to be chief of Berserker Island.

Dragon: Triple Stryke named Suvi

Age: 14

Parents: Dagur and Mala

Weapon of Choice: Sword and Blow darts

Occupation: Dragon rider

Personality: Vivika is the most patient out of all the children and always willing to hear a multitude of answers to one problem. She is the peacekeeper between her siblings and on the island.

Misc: She enjoys sitting under the shade of the trees with Suvi to read and be away from her responsibilities for awhile. She really looks up to her aunt Heather.

Name: Lagertha

Eye color: Green

Dragon: Gronckle named Lapis

Age: 14

Parents: Dagur and Mala

Weapon of Choice: Battle axe

Relationship status: Single

Occupation: Dragon rider

Personality: Lagertha is a born warrior that is always ready to take on anyone and anything that will try to pick a fight with her. She likes to boss people around and get the island people to do tasks for her.

Misc: She likes to get up with the sunrise and fly around the island with her dad. Her favorite pastime is whittling long sticks into spears.

Name: Noma

Dragon: Hideous Zippleback (Gas) named Calothosk

Weapon of Choice: Mace

Occupation: Jr. Dragon rider

Personality: Noma is a free spirit who usually does whatever sounds fun. She is curious of the world around her and can often be found taking a walk around the island. She and her cousin Leahlout are attached at the hip and if they aren't doing their own thing they are always together.

Misc: She likes to help her father in the forge (I headcanon that Tuff begins to help Gobber in the forge now that Hiccup is to busy as chief) or helping her mother cook and bake in the great hall.

Dragon: Hideous Zippleback (Spark) named Thevren

Parents: Snotlout and Ruffnut

Weapon of Choice: Daggers

Personality: She is the most calm out of all her siblings but still enjoys causing a ruckus on the island especially for Gobber and Spitelout. 

Misc: She likes to follow her dad around while he is training the Berkian guard (I headcanon that Snotlout is the captain of the Berkian guard) and likes to train with them herself.

Personality: He is sweet and gentle much like his father but tends to make up his mind and become fixated on his decision and refuses to listen when people try to tell him the opposite.

Misc: Bjorn is a pacifist so he prefers to find nonviolent solutions to problems and stay out of fights for as long as possible until a dragon or someone else is in serious danger of being badly hurt.

A Lightfury’s Guide to Stealing A Dragon Rider Update

Hey guys, no update on my A Lightfury’s Guide to Stealing A Dragon Rider series just yet since I haven't been able to get too much work done on it yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to start releasing some sneak peeks for it soon though.

If you guys wanted to do some things to help spark some ideas you could suggest them below just for some little moments. If I haven't said it before, I'm hoping to make this series from RTTE to HTTYD 3 so lots of writing. I'll finish the RTTE part of it and publish that though so you don't have to wait months for the whole thing. Happy Father's Day, everyone! To celebrate it, I made an edit of Minlout with their child.

The scenario is that Snotlout and Minden did a "tumble in the bushes" and a year later, she's pregnant and gave birth to their son. Whether she retires from the Wingmaidens not long after for breaking the rules, or she gives their son to Snotlout to take care of, she reunites with Snotlout and reveals their son to him, shocking him.

I might turn this into a one-shot fanfic later.

I basically used young Gustav's shot in this from Defenders of Berk, and snipped it into a pic with Minden in it. I'm quite proud of the results. 😁

So, basically, I wasn't satisfied with the ending of httyd 3. I didn't like the dragons leaving, and I didn't like the plot very much as well. So, I decided to make a plot including the next generation (i.e. the riders' children). But here's where I meet my waterloo:

Names.

URRGH, I just have the WORST time selecting names for the children excluding Zephyr and Nuffink PLUS their dragons! Especially when you go on the internet and see all these awesome httyd ocs with their equally sensible names, and no matter how much you want to steal them but then you remember copyright is a thing. So, that's why, I need help. With names.

Please send me some sensible names, p l e a s e. I will be eternally grateful if y'all do. For both the children AND their potential dragons.
