yall Im so fucking tired. This month has been exhausting. I promise Im alive, just barely functional atm.
#personal#rant below#begining of the month docs said dad had less than a month. Hes still around but declining#been taking care of him and my mom#along with working full time#and my boyfriend doing his damndest to keep me busy when Im not helping with dad#which is great except Im so tired#but also I havent been able to sleep much#and I've lost my appetite which apparently is a grief thing I didn't know about#So I've managed to get all the physical grief symptoms and it is taking a fucking toll#so your girl is sleeping in tomorrow and spending the day doing my own little crafts and avoiding people as much as I can#a girl just wants some sleep and a fulfilling snack but all she is being given are slight naps and unappealing food. send help.#anyways after this experience Ive decided that I no longer give any fucks because you only live once so Im just gonna do what I want foreve#and actually live life instead of being constrained by societal standards#after all this is over of course. gotta take care of dad first#also I got to paint the door because he was sick of staring at the porch. so its a lake view now#woooo#yeah so thats my life update for you all#also I saw a girl for the first time in 9 years today who completely changed the tradgetory of my life and didn't know it. so that was fun.#exhausing but fun#also idgaf about spelling right now I am running on caffeine and pure will power atm

i do not like thanksgiving (week)
#1. late november? it’s Dark. all the time. pure darkness#also my dad is neurotic for no reason about the electricity bill despite how much money he spends on random other crap#and he will get really nasty with you if you leave a light on for one nanosecond longer than it needs to be on#so like only if you’re in the room which means the house is dark all the time and you’re expected to just walk around like that#even though having a light on at your destination if you’re moving back and forth helps#like sorry i don’t want to feel depressed and sleepy all the time#2. family over means i have to socialize even though i straight up have nothing to say#i think this one is self explanatory i think we all know the feeling of having to perform around relatives and to be friendly#i really do try my best i’m not like a hardcore introvert i’m just boring and easily bored#if i have nothing to say but i am expected by law to be present at the gathering#i will cope with looking awkward by constantly snacking on whatever food is present#so i just eat like a ton of crackers or whatever over several hours#and i feel like absolute crap#like blehhh wdym peanut m&ms will make your body annoyed at you#3. i can’t cook i’ll be so real so i can’t even feel like i’m being helpful#i would gladly help out i’ll just always need someone to hold my hand and i’ll be in the way#so it’s better for me to stay away#but then it looks like i’m just lazy#or again antisocial#and then that means i gotta do cleanup and dishes#4. going back to the Darkness and sleepiness. all of the above things are bad enough over say christmas#but at least then i can relax bc the semester is over it’s a real break#but thanksgiving? man i am still busy. i have to work from home. i am stressed#my instinct is to hibernate and relax bc of the darkness and holiday vibe#however i’m not allowed to#but it’s hard to be productive#harder still when you have to operate under someone else’s rules#peach rambles

Modern au
Dorian is all about helping Manon relax and also he realized that having a bit of a routine actually helps her be at ease.
Friday evenings, they stay at home. He orders food and they watch movies and just have a quiet night in. Saturdays and Sundays are when they go out and do all kinds of things.
Years later, when their daughter is between 1-2 years old, their relaxed Friday nights saw some action.
It’s the start of the weekend so they let her stay up for a bit later than usual (it’s because they miss her and want to see more of her) but those relaxed evenings? Yeah no more.
A tiny toddler unable to speak is circling the coffee table, reaching for everything she can reach. Food? Plates? Anything? Sure. She’d find the remote, grab it and run while looking back and giggling when she sees Dorian coming after her. But again, she comes back and try to be as destructive as she can be.
They try and make her try adult food but she doesn’t like it. Still, she wouldn’t stay in the playroom to play and give her parents peace. No, she has more fun being destructive if her giggles are anything to go by.

dear internet stop throwing pictures of beautifully toasted bagels slathered in cream cheese at me i don't have a toaster i don't have room in my teeny kitchenette for a toaster a toaster is a luxury here in japan as are bagels as is cream cheese
bagel places here that ask me "do you want that heated up" make me want to cry tears of joy even though all they mean is they're gonna stick the bagel in the microwave for ten seconds so it's slightly warm-ish but not enough to crisp up or melt the cream cheese a little
#food#closest bagel place to me has two options blueberry bagel or white choco chip#its fortunate that i love blueberry but anyway that shows the general mindset towards bagels here they're sweet snacks more or less#hard to find everything bagel or onion bagel etc#i havent been home since before covid but my primary reason for wanting to is i neeeed a nyc bagel#and real mac n cheese and real grilled cheese#and pasta that isnt spaghetti with something something cream sauce#oh and i really miss american bbq which means it sucks that i'll be going home in winter bahahaha#never expected to stay here as long as i have but otoh food cravings aside what real motivation do i have to live in the us#obvs my parents and i do want to see them and wish we could live close#but as for life in the us itself... living here is so far a lot easier in a multitude of ways#the biggest downside is my being a foreigner. gotta reapply for that visa every few years#and even though i speak japanese every day the business-style japanese of workplaces is totally different so im limited in terms of jobs#aaaand when im home in the us i have the opposite problem... i miss japan and japanese food instead xP#why cant i teleport that'd solve everything#fizz's life#why are people reblogging this??? What's totally wild about family baking day yesterday is that, while we baked 3 different recipes of cookies totaling at least 9 dozen, I think I only ate one cookie the whole day.
Welp. There's lots leftover and I can make up for lost time today lol

#some people r grazers of calorie dense things theyre literally fine#post of someone's mom whos eating like 150g of almonds 2 protein bars four full sugar cokes as thats abt 1200 calories which is literally a#fine and normal deficient for a short woman#thats not including how shes not really tracking so she's probably taking snacks and bites of other stuff also shes busy shes not thinking#abt food#the fear mongering over 1200 calories is very stupid saying its for babies yes because toddlers are like quadrupling their mass over the#next four years#also what about people who fast thats considered fine they're also not eating 1200 calories those days they dont immediately die#its like people forget that for someone not severely underweight being in a calorie deficit is not harmful#burning fat for energy and nutrients is What The Fat Is There For if it was harmful for your body we would have died as a species#now if she was doing that deficit every day or that limited amount yeah not great but she said specifically that was her being good on her#diet#(seeing a wieiad of someone getting fast food twice in a day and three other meals) FINALLY a NORMAL HEALTHY wieiad#it was like a casual video of her discussing it she wasnt forcing herself to eat only x y z she was a grazer lots of ppl are especially#as you get older#obviously not a great diet in terms of nutrition but it's not the amount its the quality#id definitely feel like ass and crazy and insane eating like that but some people can take it#its the four full sugar cokes my blood sugar would snap in half
