Either way, welcome to my main blog! Here, you'll find a lot of gremlincore/nature-y stuff/things of that sort, plus some writer-y vibes as well.

This was originally going to be a place to share a podcast I'd been working on, "I'm Sorry, We Don't Campaign," aka, Iswadoc, or just Oatcakespod, thus the title. But that project is currently on hiatus (and I dont feel like changing the name on all my links on other places). I do write other things that I would love to share, including poetry, drabbles. (Perhaps eventually more horror as well...)

In spirit, this blog shall be called "Theperplexedoatcake," but once again, I'm too nervous about changing the name atm.

To be honest, I can way more often be found on @theperplexednavigator , where I reblog a lot of horror media and the like.

I'm currently hyperfixated on analog horror, animatronic horror, j horror, and general spooky vibes (one of my big special interests is horror and so on), as well as general fae folk vibes, so feel free to chat about any of that on either blog.

I'm a shy, gothy creature, but I would love to make a few friends here!

some cutie stuff i designed for social media 🩵 i decided to become more invested and consistent with it. it’s on Lemon8 for now, but i am thinking of moving it over to Instagram for my podcast account.

Originally the podcast is on pause, it was set to release in September, but then I received news of getting not only an internship, but an editor position! i’m so busy that i put it on pause until 2025.

Now i’m thinking…what if I start working on it now?

So keep an eye out for that little announcement 🤭

A light-hearted ramble:

I reeeeaaally need to create more Oatcakes content.

But the funny thing is, my biggest special interest is horror/spooky vibes (especially of the supernatural sort), and as of the past few months, my J horror interest has kicked backed into gear, accompanied with a hyperfixation on analog horror and animatronics. (Which only bleed into my private writings/universe, rather than this podcast.)

The vibes must be wrangled. Somehow.

Or do I make a side project (that I'm actually willing to make public) using these horror vibes? And still work on Oatcakes as well.

i love being in active fandoms because i keep seeing soooo many theories and being like "Oooo yesss, i love that idea! It would work perfectly and make so much sense!" and then seeing a totally different theory that contradicts the first one also also being like "Fuck yessss! Great theory! Gotta love this theory!"
