♥ Calling all sims cc creators ♥
This post goes out to any/all cc creators, but specifically smaller screators.
As a part of my new scheduled posting routine, I will be starting 'Small Creator Sunday' where every Sunday I will be posting CC created by lesser-known CC creators. I am currently writing this at 23:50 on a Saturday which means I would hopefully be starting this tomorrow!
However, as small creators know, it can be hard to get the word out there so feel free to message me or send me an ask if you want to be featured. Similarly, if you have any recommendations of smaller CC creators please let me know too, my asks are always open.
There is no catch or conditions just please message me the Creator's name and I will do my best to post as many as possible on Sundays. I realise I am not a huge blog myself, but that is one of the main reasons I want to do this. I also schedule my posts, so if you do not see your recommendation posted, it may just take an extra week! Thank you for reading all of this yapping, and if you are interested in Sims 4 cc please consider following me and checking out my page, as I have just rebranded and it is [almost] done! My posting schedule is in my bio!sm

Radio Free Monday
Good morning everyone, and welcome to Radio Free Monday!
Ways to Give:
forlorn_kumquat linked to a fundraiser for Ms. Hageman, a primary school teacher in Puyallup, WA who is trying to get a new and safer rug for her classroom; her students regularly gather on the rug for community time, and the current rug is too small, with tripping hazards at the corners. You can read more and support the fundraiser here.
marveltrumpshate's 2024 fandom charity auction is now live, with 180 creators and 293 auctions offering fanworks and fan labor across the Marvel universes, including inexpensive options for those on a budget and opportunities to join "pod" bids where fans bid in groups. Bidding will be open until 11:59pm on October 26th; after winning, you donate directly to the nonprofit to pay your bid and get your prize. You can read more and reblog here, including ways to find what your special interest might be and a guide to bidding.
Ilana linked to the next production at Worlds Elsewhere Theatre Company: a table read of The Vampire by JR Planche, the play version of John William Polidori's novella The Vampyre, adapted and directed by Ilana herself! They'll be simulcasting to Twitch and YouTube on Sunday the 27th (this coming weekend) at 5pm US Eastern time. Worlds Elsewhere is a nonprofit virtual theatre company that in addition to being entirely viewer-funded raises funds for charitable causes; you can find more info about the event here and buy a ticket here; read more about the theatre's mission here.
Recurring Needs:
loversdoom is raising funds for an assessment to get help with mental health so she can be treated and remain in school, where she has a safe place to live and basic psychiatric support. You can read more, reblog, and find giving information here or give via paypal here.
onedollopofsourcream is fundraising to help support a large family including young children during a difficult time; they particularly need funds for needed medication (including insulin), and hopefully eventually to get out of an abusive living situation. You can read more, reblog, and find giving information here.
chingaderita has been trying to help their family get back on their feet after a house fire that left them in an unsafe living situation with black mold, and now needs to pay for healthcare before the end of the month to secure treatment for several health issues. You can read more, reblog, and find giving information here.
memprime linked to a fundraiser for a friend, virtualalternative, who needs help with cat vet bills after their cat had several blockages; you can read more, reblog, and find giving information here.
And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can post items for my attention at the Radio Free Monday submissions form. If you're new to fundraising, you may want to check out my guide to fundraising here.

INTRODUCING WINTERIRON MONTH 2023
We apologize for being late for those of you who like to have time to plan what you are going to write in advance for events like this, time got away from us both last month but here are the prompts to show our two favorite iron dummies some love!
EVENT INFO:
WinterIron Month is a month long event with the intent to create new works but also recommend works created by others! There are two (2) weeks in which prompts are given. There is one (1) SFW prompt week, while there is one (1) NSFW prompt week. During these two prompt weeks, there are three (3) prompts given each day—you can choose which one(s) to do—and you are more than welcome to combine all three prompts for a day.
All types of creations are accepted whether it be writing, artwork, moodboards, fanvids, playlists, crafts, or anything else! The type of work you want to create is yours to chose from.
The other two weeks are rec weeks, one (1) week for SFW recs and one (1) week for NSFW recs. During these two weeks, there are a general (or at least we tried to make most of them broad/general) category in which you will recommend another creator’s work that falls under that category!
You can participate as much as you would like, there is no minimum amount or maximum! We just want people to have fun.
WHEN POSTING YOUR WORK ON YOUR BLOG:
At the TOP of your work, please state which WEEK, DAY and TYPE of prompt (e.g., ‘SFW Sunday: Word’ or ‘NSFW Wednesday: Dialogue/Sentence’. Please don’t do this: ‘SFW Thursday: Birthday’) you’ve done, to make it easier for us mods, to tag accordingly when we reblog!
To help us see/find your work easier, tag us @winterironmonth in your post.
WHEN POSTING YOUR WORK TO AO3:
Add your work to our collection, and also state which WEEK, DAY, and TYPE of prompt you’ve done in the SUMMARY section (e.g., ‘SFW Sunday: Word’ or ‘NSFW Wednesday: Dialogue/Sentence’. Please don’t do this: ‘SFW Thursday: Birthday).

Fear of fear of fear of fear, ugg get over it
When I finally stepped out from under the avalanche of rainbows and unicorns I had pulled over my eyes I realized that I feared death. Or at least that's how my over-thinking, anxiety riddled brain decided its thoughts on “where the heck am I doing with this info” led me.
Again, I wasn't raised religious. My mother was angry about being raised under my grandparents' religion and so she was an atheist. And while we didn't discuss it much, the emotions I picked up from her were always very bitter and angry about it.
My grandfather and great grandmother I always saw as it was a place to go on Sunday. Well scratch that for grandpa, there was always a game on.
My grandmother however put her all into it. She sat down every day and studied the Bible as well. She never spoke to me about it either (I found out later that my mom had basically threatened to never let her see me again if she ever spoke about or took me to church). The one huge difference between the two is that my grandmother always felt like an angel to me.
Maybe it was a difference in personality. Or how they moved through the world. Perhaps age and experience as well. Whatever it was I look back at my childhood and see me being torn between my grandmother's love and my mother's lack of it.
I've had years to work on forgiveness. To realize she did the best she could with what she had. To hear stories of what an amazing and loving person she was. To find a way to love that kid I was. The one that just wanted to feel like their mom loved them. To learn how to stick up for and protect that kid out of time.
All of these things lead into this cycle of 7 to 8 years of being flung back into a position where I feel like I've unlearned everything I worked on before. All coming to a head with the question what's going to happen to me when I die?
It's funny that oblivion never entered into the equation. It is more a fear of being alone, conscious and alone. I do have a spiritual belief, it's not as simple as saying I'm a Christian. It's also not as simple as saying I'm spiritual (why too many ideas and choices). I could narrow it by saying awakened but honestly that doesn't really narrow it much either.
I (when I'm not spiraling in all my unresolved crap) do believe in God, or creator or source or whatever word you want to use. I just don't believe in religious dogma. So where did that fear come from?
Especially since I've said to myself over and over that I'm not afraid to die. I'm not a fan of pain though so could we avoid that? The diagnosis just sent me into this twister of self hate, self doubt, mental self harm and it centered around my age and not feeling like I've done whatever I was supposed to do here.
Does anyone know that? A lot do, what about those of us that don't. There is a lot of emphasis put on following your path or purpose but not all paths are known. There is also a huge confusion with the earthly idea of purpose. They think of wealth being the goal. The mansion with 15 bedrooms, 20 baths and 4 pools (so small).
Your purpose could have just been to smile everyday. When we don't know it's easy to condem yourself for not doing it and then dying “bad”. Like I'm dying this young cause I've always been a fuck up. That's where my head went. That's when the fear set in. That's when I all of a sudden had the balls to start looking at things I wanted to do or change about myself and actually started.
For years I've had a victim (though I really learned to word it so it didn't sound like it) mentality about my relationship with anger. “This is what I learned from my mom”. Snap and scream. Twirling whirlwind thoughts that make it so when I walk away I can come back hours later and still be as angry and mean as I was before I went to “cool off”.
It's a pattern that has kept me blissfully satisfied with what a horrible mess I am and why nobody should love me, I'm just not worth it.
Aww a mother's love and teachings. Ha! I moved out at 18. This is hardly her doing at this point. It has much more to do with my belief in it. And instead of taking my grandmother's opposite words to heart I took the other and have struggled with so many deep dives into oblivion I can't count. I don't want to go there any more.
I know habits take a while to make and I've only just begun. Here's to taking a giant step towards the light and the love that awaits once I'm truly done with this incarnation. We've always been worthy of a beautiful afterlife, we just have to live it the best we can before we go.
Much love.

Fuyuko Headcannons ❄ (or just basic info about them lol)
Fuyuko uses She/They pronouns
She doesn't like small talk...at all, but she'll tolerate it if Chiyoko or Yonaka's doing the small talk
She's a fan of flowers and doing braids...at one time she puts on flower hairclips on her bangs but she just changed her mind one day and just put real flowers on her hair
She feels comfortable wearing Kimonos but she doesn't mind wearing modern clothes as long as it fits her style...bonus points if has a boob window, she likes wearing stuff like that lol
Though...Fuyuko's kinda hard to get along with and is rather cold and distant sometimes...but once you do they'll get more laid back around you, they still keeps their distance around you...but they does it to everyone so it's not something to worry about...she just has trust issues
Fuyuko has trouble emphasizing with other people and understanding what they're feeling...but it doesn't mean that Fuyuko doesn't feel pity or sympathy for them at all, Surprisingly she kinda likes comforting other people
She rarely feels fulfilled...since she doesn't allow herself to feel any emotion at all and tries shuts every single one of it out of her brain because it reminds her that she's got carried away by those emotions once and it led to a set of a fatal tragedy....
Fuyuko is aromantic and also bisexual...oh did I mention that they're hypersexual too?
Fuyuko manages the taxes and reminding Yonaka that she has to go to work after school...and also preventing Chiyoko from going crazy...basically Fuyuko is the order of the group.
Fuyuko likes to collect random trinkets and give them to their friends every Sunday
They're Horny. As fuck.
She likes wagashi (aka traditional Japanese desserts) her favorite ones are mochi and dango because she likes chewy foods with a mellow taste, She doesn't like anything that are too sweet or salty
They prefer to be inside most of the time and wrap themself in a weighted blanket
They get cold easily so they always wear a coat whenever it's chilly outside or else they'll get sick
Fuyuko may act sassy to get want she wants...if that didn't work she could resort to threats or violence if she needs to.
Almost forgot to mention...Fuyuko's is one of Yonaka's alter egos...yes, one of...Yonaka has three of them actually but we'll talk about that later...
Fuyuko's 26 years old (mentally)
Her pupils could go black when she's focused or feel extreme emotions
She's really protective towards her friends
Fuyuko gets referred as ' Miss bunny ' by her creator a lot...but she doesn't mind it
Fuyuko's voice could be described as comforting but airy
That's all I could think about her tbh :)
Fuyuko aka the (angel) doll of winter Mood board <3

CC Spotlight: Shelves!
This took me so much longer than I care to admit! It started out as a small project to fill the empty area under the stairs... after quite some time, I ended up with this! You can find more information and images about the full build on my website and/or watch a video tour on YouTube!
Of course, this is riddled with CC! I would not have been able to complete this modular design without the amazing string shelf system by @mxims |x| (mesh by Milla). The ladder is the Zirconium shelf stairs by @wondymoondesign |x|.
Other than that, I used so many deco and clutter items from several amazing creators. See below for more info.
Books: Hasare books by @slox, Myra living books by @peacemaker-ic, Mist books by @nynaevedesign, storage squared books by @ravasheencc, Livin rum book end by @felixandresims and @harrie-cc, Agnes books pile by @syboubou, fashion books by @mxims, Vienna books by @pinkbox-anye, Charlotte Perriand books by @hephaestionsims.
Sculptures: Star wars stormtrooper action figures by @mxims, Vienna monstera by @pinkbox-anye, Alessa vase narrow mouth by onyxium, mist ram book end by @nynaevedesign, Glass vase by @sundays-sims, Bathic concrete boat by @kerriganhouse, female body sculpture by @ts4novvvas.
And so much more. If you would like to know where to find any specific item, feel free to send me a message or ask in the comments section. I would be happy to provide a link where possible!

Liam will be answering questions about his BAFTAS performance; he’ll be doing a live and answering them on Sunday before the show, but you can submit now. And a good thing, I can only assume that the preshow press continues to confuse and confound the hell out of the casual reader just trying to understand what to expect! Today we learned that Liam’s “digital doppelganger” that will sing alongside him “has already been created using photogrammetry” which was “then turned into a mesh.” UHH okay cool I guess? And slightly less technical, one of the creators of this whole thing says “when we were doing the photogrammetry shoot we got Liam to recreate the face shapes that he makes when he’s singing...we had ready-made facial positions that we know are similar to what he does, so we then pre-programmed these blend shapes which were from an iPhone just strapped to his head”. They also said that they did a session with him in a full motion capture suit, which is seen in a promo picture used with all this, though sadly the promo pic does not show the iPhone strapped to his head. I mean that’s all just great and everything but I think we just want to know what the performance will be, and whether we’ll get bts of him making faces, and just how uncanny is this ghost in the machine Liam going to be? We’ll find that out on Sunday!
David Massey, head of Arista Records, posted about Louis (about the iHeart fan army award), so there’s some info of interest: looks like Louis has not left Arista! This makes sense considering that he chose them himself, had only barely signed with them before Walls, and they have been enthusiastic and supportive. Arista is his US label, so the answer of who he has chosen to replace Syco has still not been answered.
And a quickfire round up of Little Things- People talking publicly about Syco being awful (Jedward, etc) have been getting coverage, including the Telegraph’s uh, take, which was “well it wasn’t Simon Cowell’s fault though,” uh huh okay so you still have some ties there, we get it, Rebecca Ferguson continues to GO OFF, and a blind item was posted saying that Sony was stressed about it all because someone recently left the company on bad terms that could have a lot to say about it (PLEASE YES). Eleanor continues to hang out at Louis’ place and take pictures in his clothes while he’s out of town. Briana’s small claims court case over the money used to buy her boobs comes up next week. And finally while Gays Appreciating Harry is a category as big as tumblr that’s active day in day out, have a couple of current high profile examples: Olympian Tom Daley cosplayed Harry’s Grammy performance outfit for a magazine cover (Harry Lambert @ the whole thing but one imagines especially the stylist taking credit for the look-- “LOL”), and H got a shoutout at the GLAAD Awards (LGBTQ media honors). “We’re even on the cover of Vogue!” they said, and though the speaker quickly slapped on some disclaimers-- though Harry doesn’t identify as queer! Of course!- in the immortal words of 1D, “I know, you know, I know,” and yeah they know; no one knows what a wink and nod around a disclaimer means like the queer community does, and it’s right he should be mentioned in that kind of recap, both he and his signaling are too high profile at this point to simply ignore.

Coming Soon
Wolfstar Games 2021 is coming soon!
What is it? A prompt-based fest where participants are split into teams to engage in some fun-spirited competition as they create
How does it work? Each team member will create a work, either fic or art, inspired by a prompt, for their team
Is there a theme? Yes! The theme for this year is NATURE. The Teams are LAND, SEA, and SKY
When is this happening? Sign Ups begin on June 14th and run through June 27th
How long do I have to create something? Works will be due October 24th
And if I want more information?
Just keep reading below!
The Basic Rundown
There will be three teams based upon the fest theme. Participants will be given the chance to request a team upon sign up, but we make no guarantees that you will receive the team you requested, as teams need to be at least relatively even for voting purposes. This is, in fact, a competition, but only in the spirit of pushing each other further to create better works for this ship we all love so much.
Each participant will create a work, fic or art, based upon not only the theme but a prompt. Details on the prompts as well as how to claim them will be revealed after the teams are solidified. Then, those works will be revealed and voted upon in a blind vote to determine how each team did.
During the creation time there will be both team and inter-team activities. These will all be low key and completely optional. They’re just a way to spend some time with your team/fest participants and have a little fun to keep tensions low and promote a friendly sort of competition.
Once posting begins there will be a poll attached to each work, which will be posted anonymously, for readers/viewers to vote on how well the piece fit the theme of the fest as well as how well it fit the prompt. Those votes will be averaged for a total team score at the end of posting. Please keep in mind that these works are not in direct competition with each other. The voting is not meant to compare works. There will simply be a representative work from each team. Please be aware that team participants and mods will not be allowed to vote, for fairness purposes!
As this is a scored fest please keep in mind that all works are to be anonymous. We understand that this is slightly difficult for artists as style may be recognizable, but please do your best. This means that you may not share any snippets, anything more than very vague ideas, or any pieces or bits of your creations until after the reveals when the work is wholly yours to do with as you wish. We do understand the concern about posting unsigned art, so we will be providing a Wolfstar Games watermark for any artist that wishes to use it. And if you have any concerns about this please contact a mod and we will see what we can do for you.
Just remember, Wolfstar Games is about having fun and creating more content for our favorite boys, not about winning or losing. And most importantly, it’s about having fun!
Theme: NATURE
This means any way you want to interpret nature. It could be a story about taking a walk through nature, or about mermaids living in the ocean, or playing a Quidditch game in the air. There are lots of ways to interpret the theme.
Time Line:
Sign-ups begin on Wednesday, June 17th and last through Sunday, June 27th, ending at 11:59pm Eastern time (GMT-5). Sign-ups will happen via google form, so please watch this space for that to go live.
Teams will be announced on Friday, July 2nd. so please watch this space for more info.
Prompts will be available for viewing only on Friday, July 2nd.
Prompts will be available for claiming on Monday, July 5th and will close at 11:59PM EST (GMT-5) on Sunday, July 11th. Prompts will fall into three categories: Word based, Image based, and Audio based. Each prompt will be available only one time per team, so the sooner you make your selections the more likely you are to get the prompt you want. If, for any reason, you are not available during any of the claiming period please contact a mod and we will make accommodations for you.
Works are due by 11:59 PM on Sunday, October 24th EST (GMT-5). As always we want this to be fun and low stress, so if there are any problems with finishing please just contact a mod and we will work with you to see what we can do. As this is a team competition there may be a small points penalty incurred for late works, however, so please contact a mod as soon as you can if there are any difficulties. There will be check ins along the way to see how everyone is doing and make sure there are no issues, but if something arises please don’t feel the need to wait for a check in to talk with a mod. That’s what we’re here for.
Posting begins Monday, November 1st and runs until we run out of works.
The winning team will be revealed once posting is complete and the mods have had a chance to tally the votes. Keep watch on this space for more information on that further into the fest.
Rule & FAQ
What sort of content am I committing to if I sign up?
For fic, the minimum word count will be 1000 words. There is no maximum, however, please keep in mind that ease of reading, which unfortunately sometimes includes length, will have an impact on how the voting goes. We would never dare to stifle anyone’s muse, so please write as the whim takes you, just keep that in mind when you’re creating.
There is no minimum size for art, but we would request that the maximum size be something that is easily viewable on a single screen. Again, we don’t want to cramp anyone’s creativity, but for voting purposes it’s helpful to be able to see the entire work at one time.
What sort of artwork is acceptable?
All art must be visual, original art. By original art, we mean that the final product must be an original product of the artist. Using photos for reference is fine, and you can use whatever traditional or digital medium you require, so long as the art starts and finishes as your own product. Photo manips are not allowed. Hit up the mods if you need clarity on an idea.
Can I use a work that I’ve published previously, or that’s been sitting in my drafts?
For this fest, we need all original content, none of which has been published previously. Since this is a theme and prompt-based fest, all creators should plan on starting new projects so they can be fully inspired by their chosen prompt.
Is there an age requirement to participate?
All ages are welcome! However, if you are under 18, your creation must be rated G or T on AO3.
Are there any other restrictions on creations?
This is a Wolfstar-centric fest, so we do ask that your creation focuses on Remus and Sirius’ relationship, though other pairings are welcome. All fics must be properly tagged with the appropriate content and trigger warnings on AO3. All fics must be edited, beta read, and legible.
Will I need to be signed up for any specific platforms to participate?
You will need an AO3 account for posting purposes. All fest info will be shared on Tumblr. A Discord chat system will be set up as well. All of these platforms, other than AO3, are optional.
Can I share snippets of my work on my social media?
Since this is an anonymous fest, we ask that absolutely no snippets or hints be shared during the run of the fest. Once the fest has concluded, you may post whatever you like to social media.
I can’t sign up, but I still want to participate, what can I do?
No worries, there are lots of ways for you to help support WSG! Follow us on Tumblr; reblog, comment, and share our posts to spread the word. We’ll also be asking for help with beta reading, pinch hitting, and other cool ways for you to get involved!
I’ve got more questions, help!
No problem, we’re happy to hear from you! Ping us on one of the social media sites above, or email wolfstargamesmods at gmail dot com.

Marvel Fans 4 BLM - Rules and FAQ!
What is Marvel Fans 4 BLM?
Marvel Fans 4 BLM is a charity auction where fans offer works in exchange for donations. Our focus is to raise money for various Black Lives Matter organizations as well as focus on creating content for Black Marvel characters.
Who is allowed to participate?
All fans from any and all Marvel fandoms are welcome! We ask that if you are under 18, you do not offer or request explicit rated content.
How does it work?
Creators sign up to offer their works. Bidders then pledge donation amounts in auction-style. The winning bidder donates their pledged amount to a charity; once that donation is confirmed, the creator starts, uh, creating!
What is the schedule?
Monday 15 June - Sunday 28 June: Creator Sign Ups
Monday 29 June - Sunday 5 July: Browsing Week
Monday 6 July - Sunday 12 July: Auction Week
Sunday 19 July: Proof of Donations Due
Sunday 15 November: Check-In
Sunday 31 January 2021: Fanworks Due
More FAQ, Rules, and Resources under the cut!
What items are acceptable for creators to offer?
All creations should be centered around one or more canon Black characters in any Marvel fandom (movies, comics, TV - any Marvel adaptations!). Other characters are welcome to join the fun, as long as they are not the main focus. Shipping and Gen content alike are welcome! Creations accepted are:
- Fanfic
- Digital art (original art, moodboards, manips, edits, etc.)
- Physical art (artworks, crafts, merch, etc.)
- Podfic
- Fan vids
- Translations
- Fan labor (beta work, sensitivity reading, culture-picking, fact checking, SPAG editing, etc.)
If you’d like to offer something not listed, feel free to ask.
I wanna be a creator! Tell me more!
More details will be shared at each stage, but here’s an outline to get you started!
Creator sign-ups run from Monday 15 June to Sunday 28 June. You’ll sign up via a Google form and there you can specify what type of fanwork(s) you are offering with some relevant details like characters, pairings, and content you are willing to create in addition to other notes for bidders to see!
As well as fundraising for important causes, this event is intended to create new content for our favorite Black Marvel characters. With that in mind, we will not accept any previously published or created works. The exception to this is physical goods and crafts.
After the auction closes, we will put you in touch with the highest bidder and from there you two work together to create something great! Once you have your bidder’s prompt, you’ll have until 31 January 2021 to complete your work for them. We’ll have a check-in on 15 November but it’s up to you to follow through by the 2021 deadline. Unfortunately, failure to complete by the deadline will mean you will be unable to participate in future events - until you meet your obligation to your bidder.
You can offer up to three works for auction, but please be honest and respect your limits. We want both creators and bidders to end with a complete work and enjoy the process! For physical goods, it is up to you and your bidder to decide how to handle shipping - keep this in mind when setting your starting bidding price.
After posting, you can tag us in and any works that follow our rules will be included in our AO3 collection and featured on our Tumblr!
I wanna be a bidder! Tell me more!
From 29 June through 5 July, you will be able to view all items up for bid, as well as check out each creator’s other works to get a feel for what they can do. You may also reach out to contact individual creators if you have questions. We recommend that if you have a specific idea in mind, or a rarepair, or something the creator has never done before, that you reach out and confirm they will be able to fulfil your request before you bid on them.
From 6 July through 12 July, bidding will be open. All bids will be placed in US dollars, with a $5 minimum starting bid and a $2 minimum incremental bid. Bidding will not be anonymous. Group bids are welcome.
You may bid on as many items as you like, but please keep in mind that you cannot retract a bid, so make sure you can commit to donating the amount(s) that you bid. You may donate to any of our approved organizations listed below, or ask the mods for approval to donate to another cause that is working towards BLM goals.
For physical fanworks, whether or not your final bid includes shipping will be up to the creator. Once we receive confirmation of the donation, we’re no longer responsible for communication between creators and bidders. Be aware that for physical fanworks, creators will need your address to send you the item. If you aren’t comfortable giving out personal information, we suggest you bid on other auctions instead.
Once the auction is over, we will confirm the final amount for your winning bid(s); do not donate until you receive this confirmation. As soon as we have proof of your donation (pdf receipt that shows date, organization, and amount, all other info can be redacted) we will put you in touch with your creator. At this point, it is up to the two of you to work out how you’d like to proceed to ensure that the bid is fulfilled by 31 January 2021.
If you don’t hear from your creator after we connect you, please reach out to them yourself! If it has been a couple of months and you haven’t heard from them at all despite your efforts to get in touch, let us know and we’ll try to contact your creator on your behalf or help you assess the situation. Unfortunately, there’s always an inherent risk that a creator may fall through for various reasons. If this happens, we hope that knowing that you donated money to support an amazing cause will lessen the disappointment of not receiving a promised fanwork.
Remember that this event is designed to create content for Black Marvel characters, so please be sure to keep your requested works aligned with our Content & Conduct guidelines.
What charities will be supported?
We want participants to feel connected to where their efforts are going. There are multiple organizations linked in our Resources section below, along with master list sites that are updated regularly as new donation opportunities arise.
Creators will be allowed to specify up to three sites that they’d like their winning bidder to support with their donation. Any of the sites or organizations linked in our Resources section are acceptable. Creators can also decline to list a preference, and their winning bidder will be permitted to donate to any of the sites or organizations linked in our Resources section.
We are also open to suggestions! Other donation opportunities requested by the creator and vetted by the mods will be welcome.
Can I sign up to provide more than one offering? Can I sign up as a creator and a bidder? Can I bid on more than one offering?
The answer to all of these is an enthusiastic yes! Creators can make up to three offerings. Just be sure not to spread yourself too thin; we want everyone to have a successful participation. Do not agree to participate, either as a creator or a bidder, unless you are absolutely committed to following through.
Content & Conduct
This event is designed to spotlight Black characters in a positive way. This doesn’t mean we require fluff, smiles, and happy endings, but it does mean that for this event, we require that you think critically about what you are presenting and how that representation fits within the larger context of the way fandom treats characters of color.
All creations must be centered around one or more canon Black characters, meaning they must be the main focus of the story, artwork, etc. They should not be sidelined in favor of other characters, and if there is any shipping (which is not required, Gen creations are more than welcome) they should be in the main pairing.
This event is designed specifically to support BLM and therefore we expect all participants and creations to align with the values of the movement. To that end, we ask that you do not create or request fanworks that celebrate law enforcement or the military. This is not the appropriate event for a cop AU or similar. For characters canonically affiliated with law enforcement or the military, be critical of how those institutions are portrayed, as well as how BIPOC are treated by and within those institutions.
Some additional points to keep in mind:
- Some Marvel characters have canonical physical, mental, and emotional disabilities - including invisible ones like chronic pain and mental illness. These should be treated respectfully, with due diligence given to portraying their lived experience.
- No perpetrating anti-Black stereotypes or tropes.
- No sympathetically portrayed Hydra or other Nazi analogues.
- No explicit or romantically portrayed non-con.
- No sexual/romantic relationships between adult and minor characters.
- No sexual/romantic relationships between family members.
- All content shared publicly should be tagged appropriately and thoroughly.
Any offerings or creations that do not adhere to these guidelines will not be promoted on any of our social media platforms, and may affect your ability to participate in future events.

Tender Run Through Memories: You are crazy, my child. You must go to Berlin (2018)
extracts from a Berlin travel guide i worked on during my first internship. i was spellbound by Berlin’s entrancing mix of rich culture & gritty club-scene. i fell in love with the city, bit by bit, and i spent one month reviewing its art, museums and vegan food. during my time there, David Bowie kept ringing in my ears, as it was one of his soul-cities 🌼 you got the width of my tongue name on the sun 🌷 velvet goldmine, you stroke me like the rain, snake it, take it, panther princess you must stay 🦋
Feature: Introduction to Berlin
Much has been written about Berlin’s blend of history, outstanding culture and infamous nightlife. Proclaimed the capital of cool, Berlin is where you can “go to all-night parties, attend a screening of an arthouse film and an anti-Trump demonstration within 24 hours”, as The Times noted. Some talk about Berlin’s fall from grace, wondering if the city’s growing popularity diminished its authenticity and turned the city into a growingly expensive tourist trap.
From Marlene Dietrich, who sang “I still keep a suitcase in Berlin” with a piercing longing, to the rebellious singer Iggy Pop, who called Berlin his home, many artists have voiced their love for Berlin.
“You are crazy, my child. You must go to Berlin” (Franz von Suppé)
Affordable, buzzing, wild and carefree, Berlin is a symbol for tolerance and open-mindedness. Unlike other metropolises in Europe, it’s a place where you can relax. Berliners do not rush. They take their time, basking in the sun with their low-cut T-shirts and heavily tattooed arms, flicking back their occasionally bright-coloured hair.
Nights in Berlin are freaky, intense and fiery. The club culture is exhilarating; anything goes. Berlin is a techno capital: notorious DJs, outrageous raves and 36-hour long parties. There are plenty of clubs to choose from, perhaps the most infamous being Berghain, which pays the same taxes as theatres and concert halls, as it is considered to produce work of cultural significance.
It’s magical to lose yourself in Berlin’s night scene, in the hazy beat of electronic music and in the half-clothed masses. There is a strong sense of acceptance. You are free to be yourself. You won’t be judged.
________________________________________________________________
“Berlin, the greatest cultural extravaganza that one could imagine” (David Bowie)
Berlin is a home to artists and a paradise to emerging creators, who come here to pursue their dreams. There are around 20,000 artists living and working in the city, lured by cheap rents, the city’s libertine energy and the massive studio spaces. The street art mirrors the city’s fantastic art scene.
Berlin is bursting with culture and history. It has 175 museums, even more than New York. It’s an open museum too: from the Berlin Wall to Checkpoint Charlie and to the Nazi book burning site at Babelplatz, Berlin’s unique history can be seen by foot.
________________________________________________________________
“Berlin is cheap, but sexy” (Klaus Wowereit)
Berlin is the cheapest capital city in Western Europe. While it is getting expensive, perhaps because of its touristy appeal, it is the perfect place for backpackers, artists and adventurers for now. You can get a cup of coffee for €2, a lunch for less than €10, a pint of beer for €2-4, a day travel pass for €6,50 and a decent double room in a hotel for €50 per night. What is more, some of the attractions of Berlin are free, such as East Side Gallery, Raw Tempel and Yaam Beach.

Paris is always Paris and Berlin is never Berlin! (Jack Lang)
Nonetheless, Berlin is constantly changing, you never know what to expect. You need to experience it yourself.

Reviews: Art, Beauty & Vegan Food
Beyond Compare: How African and European Sculptures Carve the Essence of Humanity
There are few exhibitions as fascinating as Bode Museum’s “Beyond Compare”. “Beyond Compare” brings together, compares and analyses the sculptural traditions of two continents by displaying, side by side, 70 African sculptures, along with renowned masterpieces from Byzantium, Italy and central Europe.
Despite their radical stylistic differences, it is interesting to observe how the artworks touch the same themes. They illustrate the frailty of the human experience, exploring subjects such as death, beauty, motherhood, power, spirituality and love. Cultures apart, humans seemed to be moved by the same matters; it is remarkable to see the dainty, gothic sculpture of Madonna, Virgin of Mercy, appear next to a seemingly raw sculpture which represents a power figure from Congo. The second sculpture looks quite crude next to the carefully-carved Madonna, but both were made with the intent to ask for protection, to invoke forces that are beyond the physical world.
In the exhibition’s first slide, it is noted that the works displayed were made by human beings, and not by “cultures”, “tribes”, “ethnic groups” or “nations”. It is important to keep this in mind while strolling through the museum, as this exhibition is not an objective comparison between two different cultures, but a soft reflection of human nature.

Enjoy the silence in Museum der Stille
Museum der Stille (“Museum of Silence”) is a unique invitation to embrace the silence in the middle of the lively district of Berlin Mitte. It’s a small, free and beautiful exhibition of paintings and architectural models that illustrate different stages of stillness. It is lovely, subtle and, above all, silent. In the middle of the museum, there is only one piercing painting of a woman who’s gazing through you, with a simple wooden bench in front it. The walls are a deep, warm red and the light is dimmed. The profound silence makes the experience sincere and intense; you are struck by a strong feeling of here and now. While at the beginning you might be put off by the awkwardness of hearing your feet clumsily shuffling through the museum, you will gently ease into the museum’s serenity, if you let yourself. For once, you do not have to rush. It’s enough just to take it all in.
Even after leaving the museum and walking back into broad daylight, the spell of silence is not broken. You might be finding yourself humming Depeche Mode and thinking that they were right, perhaps. It is enough just to enjoy the silence.

CWC Gallery: exploring the modern and the contemporary
If you have a soft spot for art, but find most museums to be too sombre and a little old-fashioned, CWC Gallery might just be the place for you. “CWC” stands for “Camera Work Contemporary” and, as its name suggests, it focuses on contemporary and slightly modern positions found in photography, painting and sculpture. The gallery is in the heart of the bohemian Berlin-Mitte quarter and, while stylish and elegant, it isn’t pretentious and it has an easy-going vibe. It’s also completely free!
The first floor is a homage to the 1990s that recreates the dreamy allure of the era. Wandering around, you are charmed by goddesses of the ‘90s: photos of the iconic Iman, Gisele Bündchen, Uma Thurman and Halle Berry, all captured by Micheal Comte, are plastered on walls. Their half-smile and bouncy curls will leave you longing. You can soothe your temporary nostalgia by moving onto the next floors, where you can admire a beautifully curated and impressive exhibition of modern works of art, some of which display a striking social commentary.
In the same building, you can also find quite an interesting permanent exhibition about The Kennedys, which explores the political success and the private life of John F. Kennedy. The admission fee is 5€.
Address: Auguststraße 11–13, 10117 Berlin Closest stations: Oranienburger Tor, Oranienburger Straße. Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 10:00 -18:00 Saturday 11:00 – 18:00. . Prices: Free. Website: https://camerawork.de/ Contact: [email protected] Tel 030 24048614

Yoyo FoodWorld: the oldest vegan fast-food joint in Berlin
Yoyo FoodWorld is a hip fast-food joint on the Gärtnerstrasse 27 and the first and oldest vegan fast-food in Berlin.
For almost ten years, Yoyo hasn’t been your typical fast-food. Its atmosphere is similar to one of a quiet, cozy indie bar. Indoors, the light is slightly dimmed and there are photos of famous musicians and philosophers plastered on the restaurant’s walls, along with cult film posters that would make any film student swoon. Soft rock music plays in the background. The outdoor sitting is just as delightful, as the area surrounding the joint is lovely and inviting.
The food is cheap, fantastic and sure to satisfy your cravings, as the options are varied. They have 3,50€ burgers, 6,50€ pizza, 5€ wraps, 6€ schnitzels, 5€ seitan Currywursts, 3,80€ sea food and meatballs at the price of 8 for 3,20€. All the dishes are deliciously vegan and would work perfectly as comfort food or hangover food. It’s also the place to take your friends to convince them that vegan food is tasty.
Another highlight is the toilet, which is exceptionally cool. It’s filled with queer stickers, feminist and political statements, colourful graffiti and carefully scribbled love poems; ideal for a quirky Instagram post.
Address: Gärtnerstraße 27, 10245 Berlin Closest stations: Samariterstr., Frankfurter Tor, Warschauer Str. Opening hours: Monday- Thursday 12:00 - 23:00, Friday - Saturday 12:00 - 00:00, Sunday 12:00 - 23:00. Prices: € Website: http://www.yoyofoodworld-berlin.de/ Contact: [email protected]

Get fettundbetrunken at the Chaostheorie
Chaostheorie is the first vegan cocktail bar in Germany. Their slogan is “fettundbetrunken”: “fat and drunk”, so expect to find a perfect mix of cheap comfort food and funky alcohol.
Onto the first part of their motto, “fat”: the food is fantastic. From a veganized traditional cuisine to more modern dishes, the highlights are juicy currywursts, enormous doner kebabs, fries with dripping dips, pulled mushroom burgers and thick cheese meatball sandwiches. To sweeten things up, the selection of house-made cakes is flavourful to say the least. The Oreo cake, smooth and crunchy at the same time, is a popular favourite. The soft drinks are also a dream: creamy milkshakes, Snickers, Manner or Oreo flavored, and rich freakshakes. You can settle for classic options, too: late macchiato, hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows, coffee with caramelized milk and hot applesauce with cinnamon and vanilla soya milk.
Now, onto the second part of their motto…”drunk”! You can sip traditional cocktails or try out the bartender’s specials: experimental and refreshing mixtures such as Julep Blue, bourbon, blue curaçao, ginger ale and limette.
The place itself is cozy: dim light, soft indie music, shelves stacked with books and a lovely photobooth perfect for making memories.
Even if you’re looking for a quiet afternoon with good food or for a tipsy evening, in Chaostheorie you can find the things you thought you’d never enjoy again once you went vegan.
Address: Schliemannstraße 15, 10437 Berlin. Closest Stations: Prenzlauer Alle, Stargarder Str., Schönhauser Allee. Opening Hours: Mon, Tue, Wed: 17:00 – 22:00; Thu: 17:00 - 23:00; Fri: 17:00 - 01:00; Sat: 15:00 - 01:00; Sun: 15:00 - 22:00. Price range: € (under €10). Challenge yourself at the Kunst-Werke Institute for Contemporary Art
The Kunst-Werke Institute for Contemporary Art is a remarkable contemporary art institution located in the Berlin’s picturesque district Mitte. The building is a sight itself and it has a sophisticated allure, tall and elegant. The outdoor café has a lovely Parisian appeal and it’s where the hip tattooed artists you might have seen on Tumblr sip their coffees in the afternoon.
The works of art exhibited in the Institute are complex. You can marvel at political activist art, video art, visual art or interactive art. They’re also controversial, with people either excitedly praising them or dismissing them as meaningless. The exhibitions are divided into rooms: in some rooms you might be deafened by booming nature sounds, while in others you might be asked to take off your shoes and wander into an empty, soundproof room, where you’d be faced with a gut-wrenching documentary about the condition of the modern black artist. However, you never know what to expect, as the exhibits change constantly. Nonetheless, the works of emerging young artists are unique and do not hold the reassurance of traditional art: they challenge you and shake you. They draw out a strong response, be it positive or negative.
Finally, even if you occasionally roll your eyes at modern art, you should give the KW Institute a chance. At least one of the works of art displayed might move you.

Be Here, Be Queer at the Schwules Museum
The Schwules Museum is the world’s first gay museum, originally opened in 1985. It exhibits the violent history and the injustices the LGBTQ community endured in the past, as well as Berlin’s current queer life.
Schwules is not your typical queer museum. If you expect it to be bustling with colour and rainbows, you might be taken aback. To an extent, it is exceptionally colourful, with cheeky illustrations of young gay couples kissing, soft porn photos and neon slogans about love. But a more serious tone is predominant. The permanent exhibitions also depict gay history milestones, such as the feminist revolution, the composition of the first feminist songs of the German movement or the protests of a working group of lesbian teachers. In the middle of the museum, there’s a memorial dedicated to the LGBT people who were killed in concentration camps. Their names are written in blood-red. You will also shudder upon entering the museum, where you can see a lengthy list of countries where homosexuality is currently considered a punishable crime.
It is important to go to the Schwules Museum because you will be reminded of how painful history is and how the free world we live in required sacrifices. And how, for some, the world still isn’t free.
It is not allowed to take pictures, which at first might be quite annoying, as your initial impulse might be to want to immortalize everything. However, this might help you take in all the information and carefully weigh what you’re seeing.
Finally, is important to go to the Schwules Museum because you will be reminded of how painful history is and how the free world we live in required sacrifices. And how, for some, the world still isn’t free.

Sun and wholesome food at The Bowl
The Bowl, self-proclaimed a “clean-eating restaurant”, is the perfect place for a cozy lunch with your friends or for a breakfast date with a book. They only use fresh, seasonal, healthy and gluten-free products. Everything is fully sustainable and vegan. They even use natural sugar! And, truthfully, the food is indeed full of flavour and it leaves you with a sense of freshness. They have a great variety of bowls: from rich breakfast bowls filled with sweet fruit, raw chocolate and creamy soy yoghurt to lavish plates with roasted vegetables, mashed avocado raw crackers, zucchini and smoked paprika.
The desserts are a treat, as well. The highlights are the lush vanilla almond cake, with coconut blossom sugar, raw chocolate and coconut strawberry and bananenbrot, with grilled banana, granola, warm strawberry sauce and raw chocolate.
While it is a bit pricey, 6,50 € for breakfast bowls and around 10 € for the lunch specials, the naturalness of the food, its filling base and vitamin-rich toppings make it all worth it.
The dishes are perfectly Instagrammable and the colourful variety of vegetables and legumes doesn’t even need a filter. While enjoying your wholesome food, you can bask in the sun in front of the large windows and observe the buzzing Warschauer Straße, with hazy, synth-pop music unfolding in the background.
What is more, on the ground floor of the same building where Bowl is, you can find Veganz, a plant-based supermarket with an impressively wide range of products, from cheese and ham slices to cashew cookies, ice cream and the finest chocolate cream.

writing max richman as jewish: a beginner’s guide
hey y’all! as a jewish person, i haven’t really seen much content in this small but still growing fandom we have that depicts max as jewish other than an offhand mention, and while that’s also essentially what we have in canon, i thought it would be nice for goyim (non jewish individuals) to know how to write him in accordance to judaism.
let’s begin!
a bit about denominations
there are multiple branches of judaism, just like christianity. the most notable branches include:
orthodox (traditional judaism, these are your people going by the old law and believe that old laws hold true and don’t change)
reform judaism (your people that believe that judaism Has to change and evolve with the times)
there are other branches such as conservative and reconstructionist that are kind of in the middle of these two, but reform and orthodox are definitely the largest and they’re essentially the furthest to each ‘side’ of judaism (conservative errs a bit more to the orthodox side, and reconstructionist to the reform side).
the creator of the show, austin winsberg, grew up a reform jew, so one could assume that max, too, is reform.
one more thing about denominations: messianic judaism is NOT a form of judaism. messianic judaism is both a way to forcibly convert jews to christianity and for goys to appropriate our culture by slapping jesus on our culture and holidays with little care or kindness. do NOT have max as a messianic jew, and remember that they are NOT actual jews.
a bit about holidays
hanukkah (also spelled chanukah) is not, contrary to popular belief by goyim, the largest and most important jewish holiday. basically, it is not jewish christmas, nothing is jewish christmas. hanukkah is actually a rather small holiday in the grand scheme of things. do NOT, however, make max celebrate christmas, no matter how small hanukkah actually is. he and zoey can have joint hanukkah & christmas celebrations if they want, but under no circumstances does he celebrate christmas.
the largest and most important jewish holidays are the high holidays, rosh hashanah and yom kippur . rosh hashanah is the jewish new year (judaism has a different calendar, at the time of writing this in july 2020 it’s 5780, but jewish people use the secular calendar. the jewish calendar is used mostly for ceremonial purposes, such as determining holidays, torah portions, and the like). yom kippur is the holiest day of the year, and it’s when jewish people atone for their sins in the old year and start fresh for the new year.
the high holidays fall usually in september, and last three days. most jewish people, even those who don’t usually go to temple, will go to temple for these holidays. a thing you’ll see jewish people doing on these holidays is tashlikh, where we symbolically cast away our sins by throwing bread crumbs or rice into a body of water, which is a thing max could mention doing. another thing is that yom kippur is a day with a 25 hour fast, usually spent almost entirely in temple (yes, the entire day). after the fast, there’s a huge feast.
every saturday is shabbat, which is technically jewish sabbath, but it takes place from sundown friday to sundown Saturday. while christians can use electricity and even work on the sabbath, there are a whole list of things that you are not supposed to do on shabbat that qualify as working (called the 39 melachot), including using electricity and cooking. however, some modern jews have made allowances for using cars to get to shabbat services, since many people do not live within walking distance of a temple.
max says that he goes to temple, but we can probably assume that he’s not the most hardcore practicing jew, and you do not have to say that he’s not doing anything on saturday because of shabbat. many jews do not observe shabbat due to practical reasons, because we live in a secular world, where once it was very easy to practice shabbat, it is not now. many events in america are scheduled on saturday for christians who go to church on sunday, so keep that in mind.
another jewish holiday, passover, has a tradition of a ritual feast, called a seder, max could specifically invite zoey to his family’s seder. for more info on seders & other jewish holidays you’d like me to talk on, send me an ask!
a word on stereotypes
there is no law saying that you cannot portray a jewish character as a stereotype. but that doesn’t mean you won’t hurt people by doing that, especially if it’s a particularly harmful stereotype.
if your jewish character is dirty rich and horribly greedy with money and has no redeeming traits, that is not okay. that doesn’t mean that your jewish character cannot be rich. the DIFFERENCE is that you need to not portray things in a harmful way. so that greedy jew could be rich, but it would mean a lot, if you are a goy writing a jew, not making the character greedy. if your character HAS to be greedy and HAS to be jewish, something is wrong.
you can give max a jewish mother as a goy if you don’t go too over the top with it (take pointers from jewish writers, im glad to help you with this, myself), but please don’t give him a JAP sister if you can help it. also, don’t describe any family members as having hooked noses or droopy eyes or, god forbid, horns, and don’t have them constantly saying mazel tov.
something you CAN do: go ahead and use oy vey, if you’d like. you may also say oy vey gevalt, which is an oy vey telling of impending doom, and oy vey ist mir, which is just the non-shortened version of oy vey. it is also a YIDDISH saying, not hebrew, please keep that in mind.
religious texts
the torah is NOT the same thing as the bible. the torah itself only includes the Old Testament, but the torah is not the only bit of religious text.
the jewish bible is known as the tanakh, and it has three parts: the pentateuch (torah), the prophets (nevi'im) and the writings (ketuvim). the torah is the most important piece, however, and torah portions are read at temple every saturday from a priceless torah scroll, usually very old and always very very sacred. the other most important piece of jewish religious texts is the talmud, which is basically a bunch of books interpreting and explaining the tanakh. we love our religious texts so much, that we even have a whole holiday celebrating our religious texts where we take the torah scrolls out of a special case and parade them around with pride.
in conclusion:
if you have Any questions, any questions at all on how to write max (or any other character) as jewish, feel free to dm me or shoot me an ask! i would love to answer your questions, and no question is stupid. this is just the beginner’s guide, judaism is very complex and very rich and honestly amazing, and i do love to talk about it.
