My Path to a Print-On-Demand Business

Introduction

Hello everyone,

My name is Ivo, and I’m from the beautiful country of Latvia. By profession, I am an IT project manager. However, today I want to share a personal and heartfelt journey that has led me to explore a new and exciting venture – starting a print-on-demand (POD) business.

The Inspiration Behind the Business

The inspiration for this new path comes from a very special person in my life – my son. My child is autistic and faces significant mental challenges, which have profoundly impacted our family’s daily life. Despite these challenges, my son has a unique love for pillows. They bring him comfort and joy, and seeing his happiness sparked an idea in me.

Discovering a New Passion

Watching my son’s affection for pillows made me realize how something so simple can make such a big difference. This led me to start designing and creating my own pillows. At first, it was just a hobby, a way to create something special for my son. But as I delved deeper into the world of design and creativity, I found myself completely captivated.

From Hobby to Business

As an IT project manager, I’m no stranger to the digital world. I began researching ways to turn my pillow designs into a business and discovered the print-on-demand model. This approach allows me to focus on designing and marketing, while the production and shipping are handled by third-party services.

The Role of AI in My Designs

To make my pillow designs stand out, I decided to incorporate AI tools into my creative process. AI helps me experiment with different patterns, colors, and styles, allowing me to create unique and vibrant designs that I might not have thought of on my own. This combination of technology and creativity has been incredibly rewarding and has significantly enhanced my designs.

Sharing My Experiences

In this blog, I’ll be sharing my experiences with the POD business – the highs and lows, the challenges and successes. I’ll also share tips and insights for anyone interested in starting their own POD journey. From finding the right POD platform to marketing strategies and customer engagement, I’ll cover it all.

Additionally, I’ve had some fun with AI creating funny and whimsical images that I’ll be sharing here as well. These images not only bring a smile to my face but also serve as a reminder of the endless creative possibilities that technology can offer.

First of all sorry i disappeared for a bit I got sick right aftter I came home from C2E2 😅. Second thank you everyone who came by C2E2 and supported my shop and sold me out of so many things 😭😭😭 everyone was so sweet and I rly hope I get a chance to come back next year!

Lastly my sh*ps are finally back online!!! I put up all the new things (that wasn't sold out) this goes out to all the jjk, hazbin hotel and frieren fans! Watcher is a small business we have seen actively and continuously grow and progress from an idea to zoom meanings through the pandemic to a touring show. But despite their success, I think it has lead them into believing they are safer and supported by their fanbase much more than they actually are. They want to make TV caliber content, I hope they can put their money where their mouth is. As someone in the industry and wants to understand how business models such as this works, I understand the need to control your art and to create what you want with enough funding. But instant success doesn't equal long term
