James Potter

Sirius is the most discerning of the three of them. He won't bend over for just anyone. Certainly not a Slytherin--granted, he's related to most of them and isn't really fond of following family traditions.

Regulus sighs and slumps back in the booth across from Sirius.

“Stop moping.” Sirius tells him.

“I’m not moping.” He lies.

“You are moping.” Regulus just glares at him. “The Christmas Party is one of my favorite traditions and you moping about it is quickly becoming my least favorite tradition.”

“I’m not moping and it’s not a tradition.”

“You are. And this is the third year you’ve moped about not having a date, which officially makes it a tradition. But I’m putting a stop to it. I’m setting you up with one of my friends and you’re coming to the party this year.” Sirius takes out his phone.

“You will not.” Regulus says adamantly.

“It’s fine.” Sirius waves him off and starts typing. “James doesn’t have a date either and we’re all going as a big group, but this way if people start to couple off you and James won’t be left alone.”

“I’m not having my big brother set me up on a date. Doesn’t that sound a bit desperate?” Regulus rolls his eyes.  

“You are desperate, Reggie.” Sirius sends him a matching eyeroll.

“I am not.” Regulus slumps back again. After a few seconds he adds, “Which one is James, again?”

“Tall, glasses, crazy hair.” Sirius describes.

“The one with the sexy abs?” Regulus asks, sitting up a bit.

“Eww. Do not call his abs sexy. And when have you even seen his abs?” Sirius makes a disgusted face.

“I saw a picture of you and three guys at the beach. Lupin, a shorter guy and a tall guy with sexy abs.” Regulus smiles.

“Ewww. Stop saying that.” Sirius looks down when his phone vibrates. “Ewww. Ewwww.” He looks even more disgusted.

“What?” Regulus asks, but Sirius is too busy pretending to gag to answer. “Sirius, what?” Still not getting an answer, Regulus reaches across the table and grabs his phone and when he looks at the text, both his eyebrows fly up. “He thinks I’m gorgeous?” Regulus questions and then smirks as he continues to read.

“Stop smirking.” Sirius scolds him. “Regulus, stop smirking. That is not a compliment.” He says and grabs his phone back.

“When a guy with sexy abs tells you, you have a slutty waist, it’s always a compliment.” Regulus’ smirk grows.

“It is not. And he didn’t tell you. He told me, which is disgusting.” Sirius starts aggressively typing. “You. Are. Disgusting.” He says as he types it.

“I changed my mind. Set me up.” Regulus tells him.  

“What?” He shrieks. “No! I am not setting you up! This was a horrible idea. You two should never even meet. I don’t know what I was thinking. This is a terrible…” Sirius continues to ramble as Regulus sends a text.

“It’s fine. I’ll just text him myself.” Regulus dismisses Sirius’ spiral.

“What?!” Sirius shrieks again. “You can’t. You don’t have his number.” Sirius says with a smug look.

“No. But Lupin does. And he thinks we’re really going to hit it off.” Regulus holds out his phone to show Sirius a text from Remus and a shared contact.    

“What?!?” Sirius shrieks a third time.

“Sirius, will you stop doing that? People are starting to stare.” Regulus says casually as he saves James’ number.
