I was going to say that Lilia was pleasantly wrong and that Malleus is nowhere near as bad as Mallenoa sounds, that he is actually pretty level-headed and calm despite having his moments and is considerably less temperamental and more mature than his mother but you know what. I forgot we are currently in this entire situation because of his selfish desire for everything to remain unchanging and poor emotional management to the point he overblotted and put not only Lilia but the entire NRC under a sleeping spell because of his unwiligness to engage with upsetting emotions and letting go of people he loves.

What if you came home to me and stayed in my arms a little longer? What if you kissed my collarbone and ran your hands along my back? What if you hugged me harder before you had to leave again? What if I brushed the hair out of your face and dried the tears in the corners of your eyes, helped you wash your tired frame and carry your weary soul to bed? Would you watch me cook for you? Would you stand behind me and hold my hips as we swayed back and forth in the dim light of the kitchen? What if you refused to leave my lap and curl into my body so you could better hear my heart beat? What if I murmured "i love you" in your ear over and over again as you clung to me so you'd finally begin to understand a fraction of my love for you. What if I let you back in and opened my door again knowing everything you'd done before. Would you ever know how much I loved you?

Me in the midst of writing a 'tiny' post (you've guessed it already, it's not so tiny) as to showcase my headspace in my approach and direction for little miss gremlin as per deep dives into Liyue's lore (hello Chasm, my beloved), and I mention Noctilucous Jade and only do I realize that it has 'jade' in the name, which is unique because the only other 'jade' that we know of is Clearwater Jade which is native to Chenyu; how is it elsewhere, but its locations are also so interesting. I'm here like— hello Chenyu Vale, my very likely and possible other beloved, kill me now, it'll be merciful.

zaria wants so badly to be free of a life of crime and violence.... the wardens were a chance for them to start over, be a better person, help others and be a hero! but they carry a lot of pain and anger in them, so it's way more difficult to shake off her past than she thought. she hates the person the carta made her become, she wishes she could be different, but she just can't.

here are my biggest gaming hot takes:
- no game actually needs to run faster than 30 FPS
- no texture needs to be bigger than 2k, and most don’t need to be bigger than 1k (save for megatextures). A good chunk should actually be smaller than 1k
- lower poly counts > high poly counts
Once you pass a certain threshold, it doesn’t even affect the style of the game that much, and you’re just using exponentially more power to get exponentially smaller results
Like, for example, the original Skyrim was 4 GB. The remaster is 22 GB. That’s five-and-a-half times more space for the exact same content! The graphical improvements are honestly negligible, especially when you consider the massive leap in storage and RAM used.
These sorts of things just hit diminishing returns so quickly— My eyes can’t tell the difference between 1k and 4k textures.
We have so many fun ways to get the maximum mileage out of every pixel and every polygon. It’s sad to see those techniques slowly trickle away from big-budget games!
Even as storage space becomes less and less of a concern, there’s something satisfying about keeping everything as small and tidy as possible
Edit: I get it, guys. You disagree with the framerate point. I can hear you
