G3 Sloman Mortavitch (Slo Mo) Redesign Idea!

It's Slo Mo (He/They) (Transmasc) (Bi)! So, I'll be the first to admit this Slo Mo is such a far cry from G1's Slo Mo (I do love G1 Slo Mo so much tho his design is so fun). In my defense, my mind started wandering. I was thinking about The Return of the Living Dead, my favorite zombie movie, and how much I adored the costumes for the punk characters in it. Then I started to think how my G3 Deuce fashion redesign already incorporated punk elements and I wanted to give the mansters different fashion styles. I then thought about how much I always adored the cybergoth fashion style and silhouette. If Slo Mo is still dating Ghoulia (which he is in my G3 plan) then I thought it would be cute to have a gamer gf and goth bf. So cybergoth Slo Mo!

My G3 Slo Mo is SUPER tall. I picture them being around the same height as Abbey.

I also have a few ideas for unique monster features for zombies! I saw a post a bit ago saying that Ghoulia doesn't really have anything special going on with her compared to the fur and fangs of the other monsters. And I agree, she's kinda just a green human. I think a major problem faced with giving zombies zombie features is that the most notable features for zombies in pop culture are gore related. Looking at zombie makeup done in movies (Return of the Living Dead specifically), I noticed that the zombie characters would be missing their noses, just showing their nose holes. This would be a good monster feature for zombie characters, in my opinion, because it shows that the character is the representation of a decaying corpse without it being overly gorey (I mean Skelita has a nose hole). Also, I think zombie characters should have holographic or incandescent eyes. Kinda what Cleo has going on with her eyes, but sparkly!

Character wise, Slo Mo is the smartest monsters in Monster High. They have a strong interest in 90s-00s technology and a collection of Terrorgotchis. Although introverted, Slo Mo will happily help anyone mod their Nintendie 3DS (DS stands for Duel Shrieks). Also, Slo Mo is into dance and is non-verbal autistic. Him and Ghoulia meet after they Shriek Passed each other (you know, Street Pass, the things 3DSs do, am I exhausting the horror puns).

Do I think Mattel would manufacture a doll even slightly like this? Oh never. This is just fun for me (and hopefully you readers as well).

Since we're making monster high more inclusive can we get some acknowledgement of Slo Mo's obvious jewishness? I don't expect it from the show but I do from the fandom

So out of curiosity I went to the Monster High Wiki to find out how many dolls the Mansters have gotten.

Results are, interesting.

Deuce Gorgon : 6. You'd expect Cleo's boyfriend and the 6th person in the Theme song to have more.

Clawd Wolf : 6. Same as Deuce. But again, he's dating Draculaura and she has the most dolls out of the main Cast. So why does Clawd have to settle with 6?

Heath Burns : 2. This is just dissapointing.

Jackson Jekyll : 4. Okay, what about Holt?

Holt Hyde : 2... Why does Jackson get 2 more? Shouldn't they have an equal amount? And whose idea was it to never make a doll Half Jackson-Half Holt?! That would've been a perfect comic-con exclusive!

Gil Webber : 4. Though I know for some of you that's 4 too much.

Invisi-Billy : 2. What's weird is that one of them is in a random 5 pack with Draculaura, Clawdeen, Spectra and Gigi. Not even a two pack with Scarah?

Garrot Du Roque : 1. Kinda sad. They could have made a lot more considering he's a fashion designer.

Finnegan Wake : 1. Okay so he was the winner of doll vote and he earned it. Probably the most unique doll out of them all.

Neightan Rot : 1. Just like the other hybrids. Sad really, they could've done a lot more with all 4 of them.

Hexiciah Steam : 1. Kinda cool that he actually got one. And a comic-con exclusive two pack with Robecca at that.

Hoodude Voodoo : 1. Love that he's just a ragdoll. Another comic-con exclusive. Seems fitting. Also comes with Scarah.

Manny Taur : 1. Another comic-con exclusive. This time in a two pack with Iris.

Kieran Valentine : 1. Say it with me folks, "comic-con exclusive two pack" with Whisp. And from the looks of his diary, it wouldn't surprise if he was planned for another two pack with Spelldon Cauldronello. But of course, corporations are homophobic so we don't even get to see what Spelldon would've looked like.

Sloman "Slo-Mo" Mortavitch : 3. I'm sorry what?! Why does Slo-Mo get 3 dolls?! Heath only got 2! But Slo-Mo gets 3?!?

Johnny Spirit : 0. I wanna sue. This is illegal. He has nothing! Nada! Zilch! This is unacceptable. Not even a comic-con exclusive two pack with Operetta. Honestly any kind of two pack with Operetta would have been perfect! But no. Instead we get 3 Slo-Mo's.

Heath Burns was many things.

But one no one expected was for him to be protective.

The sound of a body hitting the ground echoed throughout the halls.

No one had even seen Heath move.

Only the flare of fire that was left in his wake.

"Leave him alone!" He glared at Manny before him, standing in front of the fallen teen.

A shield between the two.

"What’s it to you Burns, this lame normie needs to know his place."

The temperature of the hallway rose.

A growl made it’s way to Heath’s throat.

"Don’t you dare talk about him like that!"

Manny rolled his eyes with a snort "what would you want me to not call a locker a locker? Step out the way Burns and I won’t kick your sorry arse."

Luckily, Heath wasn’t alone.

"You try that and you’ll have to go through us." Said Clawd, walking over with Deuce.

"Let’s go dude" said Deuce, keeping his gaze on the bully lest they get any funny ideas.

Heath wanted to argue but the fight left him when a hand reached up and tugged at his jacket.

"Heath…"

He softened in way no one had ever seen him do and helped the other to his feet.

Manny roared but knew he was outnumbered and ran off like a coward.

"You alright…jeez he did a number on you…?" Fussed Heath, checking him over and taking the first aid kit that Slo mo handed him.

Deuce sent everyone a warning look, and they deserted leaving the group alone.

It was weird seeing Heath like this, but it was nice to see the more softer side of the fire elemental.

The younger teen slumped against the lockers, letting Heath fuss over him.

Their was a nasty bruise on his cheek and Heath swore under his breathe.

"I’m sorry…I should’ve known he’d have pulled some shit."

"It’s okay…so much for a good first impression."

Heath frowned, shaking his head and gestured to the other 3 monsters. "Hey, none of that. You can do over. These are my boys. Clawd Wolf, Deuce Gorgan and Sloman "Slo Mo" Mortavitch. Guys, this is Jackson Jekyll, my cousin."

Jackson gave a shy wave which the others returned with a smile. "Nice to meet you dude" said Deuce with a friendly smile Jackson returned.

Feeling a lot more at ease.

"Sorry man, should’ve met you at the gate…." Said Heath apologetically, Jackson smiled softly "your here now, that’s all that matters…who was that?"

"Manny Taur, I don’t get it tho he was in a great mood earlier." Said Clawd.

Jackson chuckled sadly "I mean I’m a normie in a monster school…should’ve known."

Deuce frowned "ain’t nothing wrong with that man, don’t let him get you down."

Heath nodded "yeah he’s an arse, a friend but an arse. He’s not gonna get away with doing this to you. And if you say your used to it and not to bother I’m telling your mum."

Jackson pouted but relented and Heath grinned ruffling his hair before softening.

"You okay?" Asked Clawd, he and the others feeling a wave of protectiveness for Jackson.

Jackson nodded "hurts a bit but, yeah I’m okay."

Heath looked at him, taking his hands in his.

"Are you both okay?"

Jackson paused, going silent for a few seconds before looking down.

Shaking his head.

Heath shuffled over and hugged him.

"He took our headphones…Holt tried to stop him…."

Burying his head into Heath’s shoulder.

He was warm….he felt like home.

"He won’t ever hurt you…either of you again." Promised Heath.

His reputation right damned no one would hurt his cousins again.

Looking at his friends he knew they agreed.

"Welcome to monster high little bros."
