i feel like if ekko travelled to a universe that's just as bad or only slightly better than the og universe it would've been better

i feel like showing au jinx, and yes i mean jinx, who managed to HEAL despite everything that happened instead of a version of her that never even "became" jinx would've been a better choice to make ekko realized he gave up too soon

(it also would prevent people from being ableist)

showing ekko, that there's a universe out there that's just as fucked up as his own, and his friend *still* managed to heal despite what he previously believed instead of showing him a universe that's straight out of his dreams and a version of who his crush *could've* been, they could've showed him someone who his jinx could *still* be without removing her whole experience as jinx

bringing an au where things are well is possibly the worst thing you could do NOT to the character, but to the audience. guess what now we have people blatantly being ableist when talking about jinx bcs they have a better, healthier version of her. now we have people not understanding how jinx and powder are the same but AU powder are entirely different person even if they share a name, soul, face, etc

making fics where you bring au powder into main timeline because you want vi and ekko to be happy but also bcs you dont want to waste your time with the mentally unstable version. how nice it is to be able to just replace the one character who needs help and support to heal.
