Ryan: pov Jenny is arriving at the precinct so we can eat lunch together before I have to get back to working. Me and Esposito agreed on Chinese food since it's what Jenny wanted and she is pregnant so she gets what she wants. Lanie is getting a spicy version of Chinese food. Our bags are almost all packed for our weekend getaway to Castle's Hamptons house.

Lanie : pov I better not have to deliver your second child. An obgyn should do that. It's not my job I work with dead people for a living. Have you picked the Godparents yet?

Jenny: pov we are actually going to pick 2 sets, since you and Esposito are Sarah Grace's and my 2 family members. It was agreed this new baby would have different Godparents, me and Ryan are thinking about asking Kate and Castle. I already told my 2 family members who are going to be the godparents that we picked them.

Kate: pov We decide to stop at a place called Ernie's juice bar and grill. I take a picture of the sign and text it to Jules Callaghan. As a teen she used to hang out at a place called Ernie's juice bar, it was inside the youth center. Castle wants to come in with me to see the menu. He can walk a little bit on his foot with the crutches, his injured leg is almost 100 percent he just needs some more physical therapy and he will be 100.

Castle: pov once I make it inside on my crutches I find a table to sit at while I look at the menu. Kate has to get back to work so we need to order the food to go. The guy behind the counter is named Ernie and he is the owner, Kate says Jules showed her some picture of the late Ernie and this guy kind of looks like him.

Kate: pov Castle order's some type of sandwich while I'm having a teriyaki vegetable bowl with a smoothie on the side. Which looks amazing. I make sure to tell the guy that I have a heart condition and can't eat certain foods. I also mention that I can't have grapefruit or pomegranate and I'm allergic to pineapple. While the food is cooking I talk to the owner telling him my friend is also a police officer SRU and he kind of looks like one of her late friends. His name was Ernie. He had a juice bar named Ernie’s that was in the Angel Grove youth center. I know this is a strange request but can I get a picture with you to send to my friend? I tell him I'm a homicide Captain. Once our food is done me and Castle head back to the precinct so I can get some work done after lunch. With me having some food limitations my Dr's want to make sure I stay a healthy weight. I'm waiting for Jules to reply or call me back. She might be on a hot call and can't answer her phone.

Castle: pov I ask if we can sit on the sofa in her office and eat she says no you will make a mess. I know you will stain it no food on my sofa. She tells me to follow her into the breakroom. A light conversation flows through the break room as we eat. I have some stuff in my bag to keep me busy while Kate works. After a few minutes in her office Kate gets up to use the bathroom. Last night, I decided to take a break from writing and experiment with making some cool slime. I doubt Kate would let me play with it but what she doesn't know won't hurt. As soon as it's out of the bag it's slipping through my fingers and onto her nice couch. I try to scoop as much as I can up, I quickly grab my phone and look up how to get slime out of a couch. I found a YouTube video. I hope it helps me. I might have to tell the boys to see if they can help me before Kate finds out.

Kate: pov Castle what are you doing, as soon as I say it he jumps up and screams like a girl. Wow Castle your voice went pretty high there. He is no longer kneeling in front of my couch, I guess I must have startled him. He seems to have been doing something near my couch. Now that he has moved away I can tell that there is something stuck to my couch staining it. Castle, what is this? I told you not to eat on my couch.

Castle: pov I didn't. Kate says well something happened to my couch. I guess I have to finally admit that it was me. I kinda dropped my slime on your couch.

Kate: pov your slime, he says he made it himself, when did you have time to make it. Castle says last night while you were sleeping on the sofa next to your dad. I needed a break from writing. Why were you sitting on my couch with your slime?

Castle: pov well your couch is soft and I didn't want to sit on the hard chair.

Kate: pov but how did it end up on my couch staining it.

Castle: pov It's slipped out of my hands must not be thick enough.

Kate: pov well Castle you're going to be scrubbing for a while because that doesn't look like it's going to come out.

Castle: pov no problem the trusty internet can help me. It will come out, you wait and see.

Kate: pov well I'm getting back to work. My phone is ringing. It's Jules. She must have a few minutes to talk.

Jules: pov i’m on my lunch break with Sam we just finished a hot call thankfully It ended okay and no one got hurt. I saw the photos you sent, I might have to visit Ernie’s when me and Sam are in the US again. How are you doing?

Kate: pov okay i was in the ER a few weeks ago, I explained everything to her. Jules asks how Castle is with his leg injury. Doing good started pt, he is actually busy getting slime out of my couch in my office as we speak.

Jules: pov no way but who dropped it on your couch. Kate says take a guess. Oh it was him wasn't it. Kate says yep. I'm going to let you go because I don't want to take up your whole lunch break.

New morning starts. Greeny is amazed how last week's party went. Seconds later she gets a phonecall. Turns out it’s Uma. Greeny greets slime girl as they talk on the camera.

Uma: Amazing. She stretches I just came back from my morning yoga. How about you? She then notices Greeny’s power up is gone Oh. You don’t have this cool hairstyle anymore.

Greeny: Nope. It wore off as soon as I gotten home. So like. She thinks but she forgets how long did it lasted I don’t know. Few hours later?

Uma: Let me know if you will want to organize next party. I’m all yours. I will stay in Z-Ville for a while because there’s so much to do!

Greeny: Right now it won’t be needed but thanks anyway. And why exactly so much to do? She gasps Don’t tell me. Someone hired you to be DJ?

Uma: Yes,girl! I am DJ on the fresh opened club. Crazy Paradise. I played my first show yesterday. Peoples loved my mixtape and my fresh remix of Pinky’s song! „I Don’t Wanna Be Your Ex” gets pretty viral recently.

Greeny: giggles Well,I just noticed this.

Uma: I will wait patiently for your friend’s next banger.

Greeny: You will need to wait a while. Because she’s right now recovering from whole recording music video mess what we had been going through whole month. But! Spoiler alert. Pinky plans to relase some old song she made when she and Luvboy were still a thing. She says she will remaster it and she can relase it even this week.

Uma: I hope so! Have great day!

As Uma ends call,Greeny then gets a message from Pinky that she wants to meet everyone on the breakfast. Greeny nods as she goes to the set. Scene changes into Pinky giving everyone pancakes. Then silence distract everyone noticing that Kid didn’t arrived.

Alvin: stops eating Where’s Cody?

Pinky: Maybe he just didn’t read my message? It’s a thing he does very often recently.

Belze-Bob: Maybe he is busy working?

Light: Working? On Sunday?

Greeny: He works on CrispyBees.

Mermaid: Didn’t he worked for 8Bit before?

Greeny: This is 8Bit. Just the boss renamed it to CrispyBees.

Mermaid: looks confused Why?

Greeny: Copyright problems. Turns out 8Bit was a name of fancy clothes shop. So Cody’s boss renamed that restaurant for the CrispyBees. I think that name sounds way catchier than before.

Scene changes into Cody giving black and pink smoothie to the vampire character. They have black with red accents hair stylized on pixie undercut. They wear now on themselves black top layered with black vest. Same colored shorts,tights. They also have on themselves white sneakers.

Dakota: Awesome service as usual,bro.

Cody: smiles Oh it’s nothing. You are one of my best clients.

Dakota: I was coming there because I heard amazing reviews on the website. And I still am. They remember moment  where they and Lyra-their cyclop best friend went out You remember when I came here with Lyra?

One Night Only (Day 177)

"One Night Only! The Angel of Hanadaria at the Carbonaro Theater!" The words revolved around a 40-foot kiosk at the mall. Every 90 seconds the entire kiosk would turn purple, pulse, and become a 40-foot hologram of Requiem.

"See? Size 13. I'm sure of it." The captain said this to Esmae. They'd been arguing about Requiem's shoe size.

"I doubt," said Esmae, "that you can judge shoe size from a hologram."

"Do you think she's seen this?" I said. "It's a little frightening."

"We can ask her in a few minutes. There's the juice bar."

"It's more than a juice bar, Captain. It's 'The Galaxies Best Smoothies.' TGBS. See the sign?"

As Requiem sipped her carrot-ginger smoothie, I did my best, one bard to another, to give her inspiration for her performance. "There's a lot riding on tonight," I said. "A lot, but don't let that get in your head. Even if it's not your best performance, even if--"

"Quinn, that's enough inspiration, I think." The captain patted my hand. "You got a great voice, Requiem. Your songs are terrific. It's gonna be a great night. Have you seen the 40-foot hologram?"

Requiem buried her head in her hands. "Seriously?"

"Oh yeah." Cosmic Peanut grinned.

During this exchange, Esmae kept glancing at Requiem's feet, and finally Requiem set down her drink with a thud. "Why are you obsessed with my feet?"

"I was just wondering what size shoe you wear."

"She wears a 13. I told you." This from the captain.

"Absolutely not! I wear a 16 narrow."

"Great." Esmae slipped from her chair. "See you back at the room."

Requiem laid a hand on her arm. "Do not, I mean it, do not buy me shoes. I have more than enough already. But thank you for the thought."

"We got the VR rigs," I said to change the subject.

"That is great news," said Requiem.

"The sales guy, he's going to install them tomorrow. I'll meet him there." I glanced at the captain to make sure I had her approval.

She wasn't looking at me. She was looking at the group of 4 Domari girls who had their faces pressed against the glass of the smoothie place.

Esmae said, "Um, Requiem, I think some of your fans are here."

Our friend gave a quick smile and wave, and the girls jumped with excitement. More people gathered, drawn by the girls excited chatter.

"Let's go out the back," said the captain.

Later at the theater, which was filled with 1,200 excited people, Requiem took one more look in the mirror. On stage we could hear Garty O'Brien doing his introduction. "Our final act is someone very special to me. We all know the tragedy of Hanadaria; we all feel the tragedy of Hanadaria. My parents owe their existence to our Hanadarian friends, so I want everyone to give an extraordinary welcome to our friend, our angel, Requiem!"

With that Requiem took the stage, settled on the stool, and picked up her guitar. The crowd went silent with anticipation.

"I want to sing a classic Hanadarian ballad for you," she said and began to play. The first few notes seemed hesitant to me, as if Requiem's mind were somewhere else, but then she settled into the moment and let the joy and sorrow pour out.

The crowd responded. Thankfully they did not tear the theater apart, like at Sundry Station, but her music touched each soul; that was obvious.

Once the applause had died down, for her second song, Requiem played one of her new songs. Many people hopped and danced along with the beat, but it was obvious that at least some of the people were underwhelmed.

As the last notes died away, Requiem set down her guitar and stood up. "Thank you all for coming tonight. There are hundreds of amazing things you could be doing in this heaven called Dauntari, and you came here."

With that she began to sing a haunting song about wanting to go home. As she began the second chorus, she brushed her shoulder just as Melvin Slime had told her to.

The small decorative wings at her shoulders began to grow, and Requiem began to rise into the air. If she was surprised, it didn't show - she kept singing, singing, singing. The higher the note, the higher she climbed. At the height of the song, her dress, which had been a sparkly midnight blue, suddenly flashed bright, and the silver sequins exploded from the dress and swirled into the audience, becoming constellations. The audience became a galaxy of stars, and Requiem became the moon, sinking slowly to the stage as the stage lights faded to black.

For a moment no one moved; no one breathed. And then a wall of cheers, clapping, and chanting hit Requiem, and she bowed deeply.

Garty was suddenly beside her, on one knee. He kissed her hand, stood, and raised that arm to the sky. The applause somehow doubled in intensity. Requiem smiled, bowed to Garty, and then to the audience, and walked off stage.

it’s not a challenge you participate actively, except for the part of your vote being the one that decides everything. whoever you vote on gets priya on the same train, and the chosen boy wins.

if you want to help out the boys, just know no matter what, the outcome is always the same. they will end up doing what they do, without the gem scene. only difference is that, if they win, they’ll thank you for the help in their speech.

the speech is really wholesome.

you have several options while helping them in the bedroom, and the scene has been changed a bit, putting henrik and bobby on the spot, in the dressing room.

all dialogues are pretty much the same for them while getting your help.

when gary is dancing, please, please, please tell him to take it off! it took me three playthroughs to know he has the red speedo under his shorts. don’t waste that man’s red speedo.

henrik. drop it like it’s hot makes him twerk, and yaasss queen makes him snap his fingers. the best options.

rocco. time’s up. just that option. if you wanna get into marisol’s route, you might wanna try and help him while he does the “spirit” whatever he’s doing. if not, shit on him. it’s quite funny and gets gary to roll his eyes at rocco.

ibrahim. “you got this!”

lucas will blow into the egg, and to hit marisol with it you should go for “slap!”, to not hit lottie is “duck!”

Barnes didn’t always join the team for dinner. Tony didn’t always notice when he wasn’t there. At first, it was because maybe Tony was there; they weren’t exactly on friendly terms. But as time went on, and Tony was a rational, reasonable person, the enmity faded. Grew into something like grudging respect, and then grudging admiration. And then, because it was Tony, it might have turned into something like a reluctant crush.

Tony didn’t like to admit that he liked someone; it hadn’t usually worked out well for him. Case in point: Pepper Potts was back on the West Coast again, and sometimes missing her was like an extra hole in his chest, and he was beginning to believe that his emotional make-up was something very swiss-cheese in composition, and he didn’t need any more random aches and pains, thank you very much.

So, Tony tried not to notice when Barnes wasn’t around.

It’s not like Tony showed up to every single one of them, either.

To keep people from fighting about food, team dinners were two different protocols; ordering takeout was on a semi-random, preference oriented schedule. Which was to say, everyone entered in their personal favorites and Friday would select what people were getting for dinner. Which meant pizza was regular, as well as Chinese take away. Burgers.

The other protocol was the cooking roster, because some of the team liked to cook, and others on the team liked to sit down to a home cooked meal. Bruce, for instance, made the words best baby back ribs and absolutely would not tell anyone his secret, even swearing the AIs to secrecy and Friday diligently kept her word (traitor) and refused to allow Tony to access the kitchen camera. Not that Tony could cook, most of the time, but it was the principle of the thing.

But eventually, Tony noticed a pattern, because it was Tony.

The first night they’d done cheeseburgers, Barnes had eaten his portion with a knife and fork. Okay, weird, but a lot of Europeans did that, too, and Barnes had spent a lot of time in Europe. Tony, who drank a lot of his meals (sometimes they were smoothies and sometimes they were booze, and who asked you anyway?) didn’t comment, but Clint did.

And Barnes stopped showing up on burger nights.

He’d never showed up for pizza.

Barnes showed up for chicken one night, but he’d backed up and left in somewhat of a hurry when he saw the containers and realized it was fried chicken, not baked. Clint had waved a drumstick at him, trying to tempt him, but Barnes didn’t even look back.

Tony couldn’t help but notice a pattern after a while.

Barnes never showed up -- or left quickly if he did show up -- when the meal was something eaten by hand. Spaghetti nights, he was as deft with a fork and spoon to twirl pasta against as anyone. He ate epic amounts of steak and potatoes. Raw oysters disappeared like crazy, and sushi was a big hit, but peel-and-eat shrimp or crab legs were right out.

The guy wouldn’t eat popcorn on movie nights, either.

Well, Tony knew all about weird hangups that manifested in odd behavior, and he wasn’t going to call the guy out. Maybe it was some sort of shame-thing about the metal arm, even tho Shuri’s design was top notch, really quite elegant. Or something weird about the way it clicked when he moved it, but… well, it wasn’t Tony’s business, was it?

It wasn’t until one particularly bad bout of engineering fuge where Tony hadn’t slept in days, but had to stagger out of the workshop because he was out of coffee downstairs, and staring at the fabricator wasn’t going to make it run any faster that he actually saw Barnes.

Alone.

Sitting in front of the television, watching some late night, black and white, movie marathon and eating out of a bowl.

At first, Tony thought he had some of the left-over noodles -- there were always Chinese noodles of some sort or other in the fridge -- because the bowl was small, he was holding it under his chin, and he was wielding a pair of chopsticks with his left hand. The ridiculous mock up lightsaber kind that Tony had bought from Think Geek, because it was cool, and also because he was a little jealous that he hadn’t thought of it first.

Barnes didn’t take his eyes off the television, dipped the chopsticks into his bowl, and something crunched.

Not like a bamboo shoot, or a water chestnut, either, but…

“Are you eating Cheetos with chopsticks?” Tony couldn’t help but burst out. “Barnes, what the fuck?”

Barnes scrambled to put the bowl down; the chopsticks disappeared like a magician’s trick. “What? I was jus’ watching a movie, can’t always sleep--”

“No, no, that’s fine,” Tony said, waving that away. He knew quite a lot about not being able to sleep. “Can I just ask why?”

“Why what? Why can’t I sleep?” Barnes’s wide-eyed innocent look was both very good and damned endearing, but he wasn’t fooling Tony.

“Why do you eat like that, it’s so--”

“Weird. Creepy. Fucked up. I know.” Barnes heaved a sigh and by the time he was done, he looked somehow smaller and more fragile than Tony had ever seen him. This man, the one in front of him, blushing uncomfortably and fidgeting, that was a man that Tony could call Bucky. Not the cold-blooded killer, or the reluctant Avenger. He rubbed thoughtfully at the palm of his metal hand with the thumb from his right.

“Hey, I don’t let people hand me shit,” Tony said. “I am the last person to give you grief about weird coping mechanisms, I’m just wondering why.”

“Did you know that your computer keyboard has twenty thousand times more germs than a toilet seat?”

That seemed like a non-sequitur if Tony ever head one. Also, pointless. Supersoldiers didn’t get sick.

“There might be a reason I use hard light and projected imagery instead of something as quaint as a mouse and keyboard system,” Tony said. Also, projected imagery was a lot cooler than a clunky board.

Barnes spread his metal fingers to their max extension, all the little plates opening up to allow for the movement. Gold and black, it was gorgeous, and Tony wanted to touch it, poke at it, because, well, he generally had a boner for engineering, even if it wasn’t his own.

“Dust gets caught up in here,” Barnes said. “An’ other stuff.”

Blood, Tony read between the lines.

“There’s no cleaning features? That just seems like a failure in--”

“It was a little easier with th’ old one because there wasn’t a lot on th’ way of actual sensitivity. Used to brush it out with compressed air, but that shit is cold, and this hand can detect temperature extremes,” Barnes shuddered. “There’s coating on the circuits, that makes it waterproof, so like, I c’n wash my hands and stuff. But it’s disturbin’ as hell to wash my hands and see… grease an’ crumbs drippin’ out. Put m’ hand in th’ sewer a few weeks back, durin’ that fight with th’ Wrecking Crew. Took me almost forty minutes t’ wash all the muck an’ grime and other people’s shit out of it.”

“Well, that’s a disturbing image, yes, I can imagine,” Tony said.

“I jus’... don’t like to touch my food with it. And I’m left-handed, so eatin’ right handed is awkward.”

“So, you don’t eat things that you can’t use utensils for,” Tony said.

Barnes’ chopsticks appeared again and he hefted a cheeto and crunched it. “Saw this on one of them videos on YouTube, some girl showin’ how to eat without messing up your makeup, or getting chip dust all over your fingers.”

“Sounds like a good plan,” Tony said, and his mind was already whirring, because that’s what his brain did. Problems existed in order to be solved. Bucky’s chopsticks would work well for small things; chips and french fries and popcorn, but what about pizza? Cheeseburgers?

For that matter, what about raw sewage? No one should have to put up with that inside their bodies, even if Barnes couldn’t get sick, hadn’t he already gotten the short end of the stick with the unwilling body modifications?

“It works, at least,” Barnes said. He crunched another cheeto with pleasure.

Tony got a second bowl out of the cabinet, and snagged a pair of chopsticks. “Mind if I have some?”
