So imagine Bristlehound and Dum-Dum one evening atop their houseboat at anchor on some island in the Upper Mississippi River, with sunset approaching

BRISTLEHOUND, with pride evident: Dum-Dum ... I can't help but acknowledge just sensing how easy things can get on a houseboat such as ours, and with the mildness of the day evident! DUM-DUM: And it must seem a little crazy, but could you just picture us sleeping tonight on this very houseboat's roof? [Know, the two are sitting in Adirondack chairs on said roof. At any rate, Dum-Dum procures wraps for both our intrepid houseboaters to sleep off the night ahead as here, making sure the chairs aren't likely to somehow fall off the roof and into the river all of a sudden, mainly by the wake of a barge tow passing in the night.]

My mom and I have been sleeping outside in a tent for the last week. And it’s really nice??? I’ve woken up each morning, taken a moment to adjust to being awake, and then got up for my day, ready for everything that was about to happen. And I’m so grateful to be blessed with this opportunity, that it’s not so cold(it’s still 37°F. Brrr). But still, I’ve been at peace about being able to sleep outside and it’s helped me feel like I can go to bed, and I haven’t fallen into my typical insomniac-like trap where I can’t go to sleep. Because I look forward to it, and I crave being outside and resting in my warm blankets, secure, away from things. It’s just me, my blankies and pillow. And my mom too, but I’d almost do it without her, and sleep outside almost until it’s no longer safe at the lowest temperature. I think it!s helped to take a break from sleeping in my room because a change of scenery helps, but still having my comfort blankets. But also a change in temperature helps. And all the fresh air. Im barely bothered by the super loud trains that go by during the night.

It’s just peaceful. I’m happy :)

Im probably going to be ready tomorrow to sleep in my room again, but it’s okay that I have one more night to be out here.

I really like the headcanon that mechs exist in the tmaverse and Jon is their former vocalist. Also Gerry is a mechs' fan. I don't know how they got put in the same room though
