So I was curious to see if there was any Demise x reader stuff, which there doesn't really seem to be (at least on Tumblr). If you would be interested, maybe that would be cool? Preferrably with a gender neutral reader, and preferrably just general headcanons, although that second one isn't too big of a deal. Thank you!

Oooooh Demise, there's so much and yet so little you could do with him. Okay, let me take a crack at it. So for these I will headcanon that Demise reverts into some form of a worldly being. Not quite The Imprisoned, not even close to full power (akin to a Ganondorf type, but he's very much just THE Demise, so he's a lot more brutish). Should you happen to stumble in the presence of the biggest evil known throughout the history of Hyrule:

Considering that humans are not beings of immeasurable strength or power as he is - it's not uncommon that his presence intimidates most. He's the embodiment of evil. Destruction is in his nature, it's what he is literally alive for. But...you're different.

After his downfall at the hands of Link, humans caught his interest; being these weak and fragile things that cowered beneath him to suddenly having a resilience that would withstand even him - the same resilience you had.

While you're no hero, you make it clear that his history and demeanor doesn't scare you. Most would think you're mad for that, but you just feel that he's so used to people being afraid of him that he doesn't know what to do with someone who isn't. You enjoy keeping him on his toes and he absolutely hates that he can't read you or terrify you. Still, you intrigue him so much that he never lays a finger on you, though try as he might to threaten to "smite" you.

He has an awful temper that you often like to quell by smacking that ripple in the middle of his forehead - serves as a reminder that he does have a weakness and you're not hesitant to remind of that when he thinks he's much mightier (despite being almost weak enough to be back in his imprisoned state) and he tends to scowl in silence when bonked there.

He finds that he likes learning about other civilizations aside from Hylians. Gorons, Gerudo, Zoras, the list goes on. There's richness in each culture that he absorbs and while he boasts it's for tactile purposes and to "know his enemies" you have a high suspicion that he just genuinely likes to learn and is being pig-headed about admitting that to you. You find the time to help him research and teach him everything you know from your own travels and the way he seems genuinely interesting makes him feel almost human.

When you get cold at all, he wraps an arm around you and it instantly makes you feel better. It's not surprising that he's extremely warm per se, but it does always come to you as a shock that he does it willingly considering he's grumpy almost always lol

Ghost kitty 🥺

Started as a study sketch for Remlit anatomy but ended as a full piece + onions…

Also I like to think a bittersweet headcanon that the ghost kitty were owned by one of the Skyloft resident that has long passed away (more likely Pheoni, the hand ghost in the dorm toilet) and maybe an extra sidequest that you need to befriend the kitty and play with it so it can finally depart peacefully with its owner.

(Might be doing a short illustrated fic about this, so keep an eye for it!)

Gerudo wind fills plot holes

It’s way to fitting

Fanfic prompt: Considering that in wind waker

wind has extremely tiny ears in the art style

it would make more sense to make him a Gerudo or related to them instead of twilight (nothing wrong with that au but wind just slides into the role perfectly while also covering plot holes as well)

wind is a perfect fit because he already has smaller and rounder ears (even in linked universe he has tiny ears and in the game's art style they even look a bit rounded up in comparison to others)

the whole world probably stopped caring about race separation because the entire world flooded and all survivors had to pick up the pieces and Gerudo are also there and would have helped recover from the massive death (no matter how much feuding happened by the time the world drowned it would not have mattered anyway)

He also is incredibly strong for a kid

(capable of picking up struggling pigs and throw them and use the skull hammer with no problem) and capable of surviving getting thrown across the see with minimal injuries (when the helmaroc king threw him)

and Gerudo are repeatedly shown as incredibly robust and strong

They are also shown to be capable of using magic (while hylians have to use artifacts )which wind also can do by using fire ,light and ice arrows (he canonically has magic stamina) and it just would work perfectly for irony because four is his ancestor (link's grandmother implied that the shield belongs to an ancient hero but also calls it a heirloom and on top of that the shield looks exactly like four's )

and if wind turns out to be a part of a race of incredible tall people it would be hilarious

Also considering that riju is also tiny and still 14 (while wind is around 13 at most)

He still got room to grow (and can also be mixed because the hylian/goron guy will forever haunt me)

It fills so many plot holes that it’s funny

And in botw and totk the Gerudo have long ears because of how often they pair up with hylians

Like evolution canonically exists in Zelda

And even further the reason why wind can exist without becoming ganondorf (male Gerudo curse and all that)

Is because there is no hero spirit and demise's curse specifically told as long as both the hero spirit and the bloodline of the goddess exist he will return

And he literally can’t return because time went to get milk and left the timeline

Thereby creating a disaster but also breaking the curse

Like the fanfic potential is nearly endless

Honestly even though we never get to see it, I’m sure other Zelda’s go through a similar process of “why are my powers not working, why doesn’t the goddess speak, am I broken?”

The only other Zelda’s magical awakening we really get to see is Skyward Sword’s, and hers is a very immediate “oh fuck I’m the reincarnation of a goddess, I have the whole world’s safety on my shoulders, OH FUCK” and “if I am the goddess and the goddess chose a specific knight to reincarnate as her chosen doesn’t that mean I’m manipulating my best friend, my crush? I’m not a goddess I’m a MONSTER”

Bringing up Steven universe, but Hylia and Pink diamond/Rose quartz really fell in love with a mortal goober of a man and decided that they would kill themselves for him. For different reasons, but they are shaking hands. Put your burdens on someone else through the process of self death reincarnation or having a doomed pregnancy? Steven universe and skyward sword Zelda would understand each other greatly I think

But he isn't the one flying. His head is resting in crimson feathers and he feels like a child cradled by the wind and sky. He is safe.

It's a delightful dream that he rarely has, interspersed with nightmares and blackness.

He barely remembers the dream when he wakes, but the day is always more pleasant after that.

And then one day Revali has him climb on his back for battle, and the feeling of feathers on his skin shocks something warm in him he can't place. He puts his face against him and closes his eyes. He can't focus, getting an ear-full from the arrogant Rito champion.

100 years later he has wisps of the memories in his dreams and nothing else.

Before the events of Skyward Sword, Zelda typically wore clothes along the lines of her concept art. She misses the comfortable outfits when she travels on the Surface in goddess robes.

i made a skyward sword/botw inspired bag and shirt. the reason it says “hyrule kingdom” instead of “skyloft” is because i wanted to put a “era of the wild” spin on it. basically i hc that the skyloft knights academy would be re-established for generations. botw link was a knight, and prob would’ve trained at Hyrule Kingdom’s modern version of the knights academy :)

the shirt was simply a project for my graphic design class!

✯has the biggest crush on his Zelda bc they're so close

✯like it's VERY obvious how they feel about eachother

For this one, I thought about the cutscenes where he's explaining something (like the current location or condition of Zelda) to another character and we can see his mouth moving.

Other than doing it for hobby, I think Skyward does carving and or drawing to help him sleep too. Somewhat like something comforting to calm his nerves too when he has nightmares / getting bullied by Groose and his gang. I also love the small detail the Skyward Link model in-game you can also see that he has those "eyebags lines" under his eyes (which the other Links doesn't have), which might be implying he's not having enough sleep.

skyward sword headcanons time let’s go!!

lanaryu desert, was an ocean with a forest in the past, as stated in game. hence, it makes sense that it is much closer to faron woods than it is to eldin volcano. BUT!! what if eldin’s volcano was actually a mountain in the distant past? a small mountain, sure, but a mountain nontheless! it would definitely explain why there were trees and water springs in the volcano! it was actually just a dormant volcano the whole time until like 100 years ago when it exploded and people on skyloft could see it (or when demise made it explode, that works too)

link is definitely not just right handed. if you look at his desk, his quill is left laying on the left side of his notebook/journal. my guess is that it was just easier to train everyone in right handed sword fighting. link also pulls back his bow with his left hand, another implication that he is most likely ambidextrous or cross dominant.

zelda prefers to wear pants!! i think people tend to forget that she was dressed up (i don’t blame you though) for the Wing Ceremony to play the role of the goddess. pants are definitely more comfortable for riding loftwings, and it would make sense as she was in training to become a knight

in general, most people on skyloft are tanner or dark skinned, it just makes sense in my mind since they are closer to the sun

link has many freckles. i don’t accept otherwise

link and zelda would sit together and make flower crowns for hours as kids, which often ended with link falling asleep for a little bc he was tired

link is asthmatic. running for too long made him tired but he pushed through to save zelda and definitely pushed his body to the limits at times.

this headcanon isn’t mine, but i think it’s really cool! @the-phantom-peach has this headcanon that having a feather of your loftwing and another’s indicates close friendship or romantic attraction! link and zelda both have one (i hope you don’t mind the tag!)

this one’s silly but whenever link had to get the gratitude crystals he had to go on his toes to grab it and put it in his bag

(CONTROVERSIAL OPINION) hear me out pls, ai sada headcanons. she needs more love than the real one, and i will die with this.

I understand, anon. TBH AI Sada, unfortunately, is better than real Sada in canon, because I'm not there to fix her. Anyways, let me think of some things to say.

Setting up a scenario here is a bit odd. Realistically, if AI Sada were to be in love with someone, it would probably be someone Sada herself was in love with, since the AI has all of her memories and feelings. Which feels a little weird. Imagine you have a lover and you learn that they died in a freak accident but they also have an AI counterpart who is also in love with you. Anyways-

It's hard to think of what to say, because I think the two are pretty similar all things considered. In my mind, AI Sada is just Sada before she flew off the rails and only cared about the time machine, so many of my regular Sada headcanons could still apply. The biggest difference is that AI Sada is aware of how the real one neglected you for so long, and desperately wants to make up for that lost time.

She knows how much you care for the real Sada, and how hurt you are when she started to pull further and further away from both you and her son. Hell, maybe she even tries to push the real one to reach out at some point when she's still alive, to reconnect before your relationship collapsed completely, but it was too late at that point.

In her place, AI Sada sends little texts and messages your way. She wants to do more, she really does, but she just can't bring herself to do it. She's afraid, in a sense. She loves you so much, so very very much, but she's not really the person you love. I mean, she literally is, but you aren't aware of that. You don't know you're speaking to the AI counterpart of your lover who has since gone crazy over dinosaurs.

She tries to do the same for Arven, but he never responds to her. The occasional random text doesn't make up for the real Sada's absence. AI Sada knows this, and she doesn't blame him, but what else is she to do? What else can she do?

As much as she wants to reach out, to be with you and Arven both, to be apart of the family the real Sada so callously abandoned, she can't. Her hands are tied. When she's left alone in Area Zero, she has no choice but to fully devote herself to destroying the time machine before things get out of control. It simply has to be her top priority. If she can't be with you both, the least she can do is protect the world you live in, keep you safe.

When she finally sees Arven, when she sees him in person for the first time, she reminds him of how much Sada loved both him and you, that the real Sada cared for you two so much, but is careful to leave out her own feelings.

Now, to make things a bit fluffier, we can say she doesn't fuck off to the distance past. When things settle down, and you learn the truth of what happened to your lover, she feels more comfortable with her feelings for you. She knows that she isn't the same person you fell in love with, but she'd gladly take her place if you'd have her.

Even though she has all of Sada's memories, AI Sada feels like she's experiencing everything for the first time when she's with you. She knows what it is like to be around you, to hold you and kiss you and whisper sweet nothings, but doing so herself just feels so... different. So liberating and free. Wonderful. It would make her heart flutter if she had one. As a result, she is a bit clumsier than the real one, at least at first.

She also isn't as affectionate. It's not that she doesn't want to shower you in love and praise, or that she doesn't want to receive some in return, she's just a bit more... reserved. A bit held back. Unsure, even. This is all unfamiliar territory to her, give her time to get her bearings in order.

I'm gonna be real with you, I don't think she's the most comfortable to be around, physically speaking. She looks human, sure, but she is, in fact, made of metal. She's not the nicest to cuddle, or hug, or even kiss, but she tries. It's a little hard and strange to adjust to, but you can get used to it in time. It's charming, in a sense.

She also doesn't have human needs, just maintenance on occasion. For the sake of scenario, let's just say she's not confined to the Area Zero lab and is instead free to join in the regular world. Living with a robot is weird. Without needs of her own, she often does things just for you.

Like, as an example, she doesn't need to sleep. She's a robot, she needs to recharge, not sleep. Still, she's more than happy to lie down with you in bed at the end of the day, to keep you company. Sometimes she goes into sleep mode, but other times she stays up, combing artificial fingers through your hair so delicately, as if you'd crumble under her touch.

Cooking is something she can do, but she's not the best on account of not being able to taste anything. She enjoys it, though. She's honestly do anything for you, if nothing but to see you smile. She also likes to watch you eat, which can be a bit awkward since she just sort of stares. I guess that's how I'd describe AI Sada as a lover; Awkward, but charming.

Also, I hate to say it, but I don't think this is a robot you can outright fuck. I'm sorry robot fuckers, I really am, but I don't think Sada equipped her AI counterpart with a neo pussy. You can, however, get railed by the robot. If you want. As a little treat.
