Part 1 (beginning 11 Mar):

Event Recall - Previously completed stories will be available to enjoy in the same way the original events were presented (instead of just the story in archive form). If the event story has not already been unlocked through normal play through, it will require gems to unlock. Missed rhythmics will be made available in the RHYTHMIC page once cleared. This is available through the Story tab.

Memory Shop - Items that were previously available during events (such as extra cards and groovy items, etc.) will be available in the Memory Shop. Memory Medals are required to purchase items from this shop, which can be bought in the gem shop, or during this event in the Tuna Can 2024 Shop. You must have finished the event either via the original run or from the Event Recall for items to be available for purchase.

Crewel/Trein/Vargas Item Gacha - New Item Gacha will be available that require "Reward Medals" to roll in. These Reward Medals will be dropped during lessons. The Item Gachas will have items from those respective lessons available. In addition, Crewel's Item Gacha will have the new Buddy Lv Up Items.

Buddy Lv Up Items - The Friendship Herb Tea will be available to increase Buddy Levels of cards. There will be three tiers (L, M, and S) and will be dropped during Alchemy and Special classes.

Other Changes

Up to 25 teams can be saved for use during battles. Support or Guest cards cannot be saved in a team.

Support Cards can be pinned, so that they will be easily accessible whenever you need that support.

There will be an option to favorite specific story chapters available from the Archive screen.

Single Magical Keys can now be converted to a Tenfold Magical Key, given that you have 10 single keys available.

Lesson Skip Tickets will become available. This cannot be used for Special lessons.

Collect Battles can be completed in a batch similar to Tests.

Magic Lv can be increased multiple levels at once instead of one at a time.

Battle Speed can now be set to 3x.

AP, BP, and RP can be refilled in batches instead of one at a time.

The Trouble sequence in the Guest Room can be skipped.

The Guest Room invite time will be reduced.

Part 2 (Beginning 15 Mar):

Second Floor of the Guest Room - A second floor to the Guest Room will be added that can be decked out with its own theme, furniture, and BGM. This will unlock at room rank 31.

Event BGM added to Guest Room - The BGM Shop will have previous event BGM available.

Other Changes

New voice lines for alchemy and flight classes.

Part 3 (Beginning 18 Mar):

The Tuna Can [2024] is an event drop and you can get 1, 2 or 5 randomly by completing lessons (History, Flying or Alchemy). You can see how many you have on the bottom of the Event Page. Left is how many you have right now (so if you spent some, the number is lower), right is how many you have collected until now (this is what you need to make Grim permanent).

To quickly go to Grim’s lessons from the event page, click on the Lesson button on the Main Event page or go all the way to the right on the Lesson Page, right after Diasomnia.

When you click on Grim’s card to level him up, you’ll get a message reminding you that he isn’t permanent yet, so items and madol spent on him will also disappear if you don’t make him permanent in time. Just click the black button to proceed.

One of the missions is to level up one of Grim’s magic to Lv.5 and we suggest you start with his M1 if only to complete the missions faster, because you use Tuna Cans to level up magic and the amount needed for each magic is different. (To level up magic, just click on the 4th tab: 魔法Lv)

Obey Me (OG) Newbie Guide

Author's Note

There are multiple guides for this game existing already. Most could be found in Obey Me sub-Reddit or by searching in Google. Since the game is already 4 years old, this game has finished the main storyline and already moved on to a new prequel game called Obey Me Nightbringer (NB). Obey Me (OG) is still up and running at the time of this writing, since they run the events in both OG and NB, so if you want to still play this game, then that's up to you. Keep in mind though that this game is grindy.

In this post, I'll make a concise guide that will help new players (hopefully) traverse in the game. As always, this guide isn't only from my own experience, because I'm going to include tips from different sources here. The links for the sources could be found at the bottom of this post. I've created this guide with the idea that this is my game notes just in case I forgot about this game.

When starting an account

You can't reroll account in this game thru normal means.

It's not recommended to reroll in this game since you'll get a free UR Asmodeus card in mail but, if you're like other players who want to reroll just to get a card of their favorite guy or you want to get ahead by having more UR cards early in the game, then here are the steps.

Play the tutorial by skipping dialogues until you get a 10-pull. The cards you'll get is fixed.

Keep skipping until you clear 1-6.

Click the home button and go to mail after being bombed with announcements. Claim all. (You'll get enough to do a 10-pull.)

Roll in Nightmare. Preferably in event banner.

If you don't like the results, create transfer code for this account. (Walkthrough on how to setup Transfer Password here.)

Close the app in this phone.

Have a second phone or an emulator (e.g. Bluestacks) with Obey Me app.

Open the Obey Me app in the second phone or emulator.

From the title screen, click Transfer Data > Enter Transfer Code > Input your Transfer Code and Transfer Password > Tap Transfer

Once done, the account is now transferred to the second phone/emulator. Close the app.

You could use the first phone to create another account again.

All about UR or UR+ cards

UR/UR+ cards are the endgame goal to collect in the game. The difference is that UR+ cards either have outfit for character or moving background, while UR cards don't. Both have similar power level.

UR/UR+ card is the highest rarity. SSR cards could work for early game, but would need to be replaced once you reach harder content in game.

There are two types of cards needed to create a team - demon cards and memory cards. Demon cards can be obtained from Chapter A, any event banners, or event reward ladder, while Memory cards from Chapter M, from event reward ladder, or from shard farming in hard mode in lesson 61+. Chapter A and Chapter M are considered standard banners in game.

NOTE: You can't have 2 demon cards of the same character in 1 team. You need to have varying characters for each attribute.

Different ways to obtain UR/UR+ cards:

free pull in Chapter A for demon cards

free pull in Chapter M for memory cards

[RECOMMENDED] pulling in event banners with devil points (DP) or demon vouchers (DV)

[NOT RECOMMENDED] pulling in Chapter A and Chapter M with DP or DV

buying UR card shards in Akuzon with raven (Akuzon > Exchange Raven > Piece of Card)

grinding past events in Lonely Devil for UR cards

UR memory card shard grinding in hard mode of Lesson 61+

UR memory card from limited-time event login rewards (happens during holidays or anniversaries)

UR demon card from 10-pull birthday banner

** It is advised to save up the DP and DV for the limited-time event banners.

** It is advised to save up DP or DV enough for a 10-pull before your birthday. The date you write as your birthday will have a special 10-pull banner that will guarantee a UR card.

NOTE: You need 80 card pieces and 60,000 grimm to form a single UR card.

Surprise Guest

Surprise Guest randomly comes out after you manually battle a stage. One of the 3 guys in the demon cards you used will appear. Getting their 3 interactions right make them gain intimacy points.

Their preferred touch interactions after battles can be found here. Better go look at the list yourself because the options are many.

You can also get gifts when you get a heart reaction for all 3 interactions. You could get 6 gifts per day. Gifts include:

Demon vouchers are used to pull in Chapter A and Chapter M in Nightmare. These can also be used in limited-time event banners.

Daggers are used to uncap the max level of card. This is done in order to increase the power level of the card, to be used in harder lessons in main story.

For example, UR/UR+ card has max level of 100. You need 10 daggers of same sin attribute with the card, 100,000 grimm, 100 gems of main sin attribute, and 100 gems of secondary sin attribute of card in order to increase the max level of this card. Each uncapping of max level of card is increased by +10 levels.

All about Lonely Devil

Lonely Devil is a mode where you could rerun the past events in game. You could unlock a past event using LD tickets or by paying 10 DP.

Players who have missed their desired rewards from the event ladders rerun this event in order to continue what they have started. The total points acquired from previous run is saved and could be continued on your next run of same event. The event rerun lasts for 4 days. However, cheat cards don't work in here.

Lonely Devil is a great way to obtain UR memory cards in the game. Daggers could also be obtained here.

All about D-energy

D-energy is used to increase the chances you could have in capped battle stages. Battle stages that have x3 cap are event stages and hard mode stages. Using one D-energy gives 3 battles. If you run out of D-energy, 5 AP will be used to get 3 more battles.

All about Card Mechanic and Total Power

UR/UR+ cards have max level 100 and could be uncapped until you reach max level 200. SSR cards has max level 80 and could be uncapped until you reach max level 160.

Each card rarity has their own power level that is used in battle stages. This part will be further explained in a separate post (because I think I'm almost reaching the 30 max image cap in a post). I will link the post here later on.

Miscellaneous Info

You can drag your finger across the hearts that appear on screen during battle instead of tapping them individually. WAY more effective.

Choosing quick clear x3 or x5 on battles only gives EXP to player level, not including the card level, but you still get grimm and rewards.

Save glowsticks. Rainbow glowsticks are the more powerful buffs in battle.

You don't need to complete all daily missions in To Do. Just clear 7 missions in order to get the 18 DP daily.

You can leave your rewards sitting for as long as you want, and collect them whenever.

AP will carry over when you level up.

You can edit the game's graphics settings if you have lag. Just go up to the top right corner and hit the settings gear.

Work towards building a deck that covers all colors with a variety of characters, both demon cards and memory cards alike.

Try to keep your in-use cards (your deck, as opposed to your overall collection) evenly leveled.

Don't forget to level your memory cards. They are also important in total deck power.

Daily server resets at midnight JST or UTC+9. Convert into your local time to know when it will reset in your location.

the thing with Nehan and how much his plotline is destroying me, is that, I was playing the game for a while when he made his first appearance. To me, i read an event, i fell for a really tragic, depressed, suicidal catboy, who’s only saving grace was this one kid he was pushing away, who was pushing himself through the most self destructive behavior in the world, who was perfectly aware that his anger was unfair toward Seox but that without this anger he has no will to live, and then the event ended with Nehan almost dying and being in a coma. 

On top of that the reason he almost died was pretty vague in the story itself, so for like, a strong day i thought he tried to kill himself, before a friend pointed out that if you click on the skip button it makes clear it’s someone who tried to kill him.

We got a Mugen unit, and Mugen’s FE was all about how he wanted to travel and discover happy things, so that then he could share them with Nehan and perhaps it would mean Nehan will wake up. That Mugen was finding happy things in the world only to share them with Nehan.

And the FE that ends with reminding Mugen that, more than looking for happy things for Nehan, Mugen should look for happy things for himself, and that will be enough to make Nehan happy, and Mugen tells it all to Nehan while Nehan is in the coma, then leaves the room to go play with the kids hoping to play with Nehan again, and the FE ends on “for a minute, a smile was on Nehan’s face and his eyelids moved a little as if he was ready to awake, before falling back to sleep” and the notion that indeed, Mugen’s happiness would be Nehan’s salvation. 

and then. Nothing. 

We had a strong year without information about Nehan, only that he was in coma, that Mugen was desperate to find way to wake him up. All of Mugen’s holidays line in that one year was all about how he wanted to learn about the world so he could wake Nehan up and make him want to be alive in this world as well. You’d play with Mugen in your party and for example if he was made KO, he would weep and call for Nehan. 

It was one full year of remembering Nehan was in the coma, too suicidal to even want to wake up, already having given up on life.

And then out of nowhere, they dropped an unit for him. An unit where it was made clear to us that, he woke up, he’s reunited with Mugen now, and that as he was left on Stardust Town, every orphans here decided to work together with Mugen to give Nehan some will to live. 

and Nehan is still so fundamentally emotionally numb, he’s still so depressed, there is nothing about his own mindset that changed except that he let go of his anger toward Seox. But he’s also now devoted in being a good parent to Mugen, and by extention, to all the orphans who are making their purpose to cheer him up just like Mugen.

Nehan is still fundamentally broken, but “i cannot make the children sad, so i have to try for them” is literally all that’s carrying him forward.

And so now you get to see the process of healing. You hear from his holidays line that he has no interest in life in any shape or form but Mugen is so insistent on him being happy that Nehan has no choice but to accept it, even if he feels so undeserving of it. And then you have Mugen’s holidays lines that moved from the angst of him trying to desperately wake up Nehan, to him being overly excited about making Nehan happy, and stubborn about making sure Nehan accept this happiness.

Like there’s this whole holiday line on Christmas where Mugen insists Nehan gets gifts because “on Christmas we give gifts to good kids, and Nehan is a good kid”, and Nehan feels so underserving he tries to fight it back, to tell Mugen that Nehan doesn’t deserve any of it, that Mugen is the goodest kid and that he should focus on himself instead, but Mugen won’t budge so now Nehan is just obligated to accept that he’s loved and that there’s value in his life.

And like, the plotline itself is just, so damn effective, but god, having spent one full year not knowing if Nehan would ever wake up because he was so profoundly suicidal at this point that he had no reason to want to wake up, only to see him wake up, still be depressed, but doing an effort because he has a whole team of kids wanting him to get better and he just doesn’t want to make those kids sad? 

Peak storyline, and honestly, peak way to bring back someone who was an antagonist. 

And it makes me so emo when i see the new arts because Nehan is so constantly surrounded with kids and supported in some way by them, especially now that he’s more physically disabled than before.  We know Nehan spent his entire life in various systems that would abuse him, torture him, isolate him, that he had no one in his life and anyone he might have was set up to hurt him.  and now you never see him alone, and you always see him supported.

Nehan’s recovery arc means the world to me and i wish the best to him for ever.

You met him at a country club event at the start of summer. Your parents had dragged you there against your will, with a promise of allowing you to go on that graduation trip in Europe with your friends.

As expected, it was boring and filled with old people.

You were forcing laughter and faking smiles as you made conversation with old men who played golf with your dad and business partners. They kept making remarks about your look and how pretty you were, making you really uncomfortable. Those men were twice your age. That's disgusting.

Your eyes searched for your mother for an escape, but she was probably drinking champagne and gossiping with her fellow housewives. It wasn't as horrible as being with your dad, but you feared they would try to match you with their plain, white bread sons - again.

''-Yale in the fall, right honey?'' your dad said proudly, venting to his friends that his daughter.

''Yes,'' you replied.

''You're following your father's footsteps,'' pointed one of the men.

You kept quiet and forced another smile, wishing your father had not brought up Yale. You get that he was proud of you for going to law school, but your feminist future and career weren't favored among misogynist men like them. And, you weren't feeling for a one against five debate tonight.

''She'll be taking over the law firm when I retire.''

You drowned the rest of the conversation as they dived into more business-y subjects and retirement plans and sipped your sparkling cocktail. You could usually count on alcohol to make the night less miserable, but these cocktails had the smallest bit of alcohol in them. You would need at least ten of these to get a little tipsy.

A soft brisk of wind blew in your hair and you tucked it behind your ear. When you were kids, those events weren't as boring. They were filled with other kids your age, but they had all grown up and no longer attended the events with their parents.

You sighed, looking over to the beach. The water was calm tonight and the tide was still low, perfect for a sundown walk.

You shifted your eyes back to the crowd, catching a pair of beautiful blue eyes on your way. A boy around your age - very handsome, you may add - was standing by the bar. Your eyes lingered on each other and something tightened in your stomach.

He raised an eyebrow and your lips curled, cheeks warming up.

Country club boys weren't your type, but he stood out from the others despite sporting a typical preppy attire. Something drew you to him. Perhaps it was the brooding look in his eyes? Or the way he stood, tall and breathing confidence?

Your feet made the decision before you, heels clicking on the paved yard, mimicking the boy's action and making your way to him.

''I believe we haven't met. I'm Rafe.'' Now that he was closer, you noticed that his button up matched his eyes.

You flashed him your best smile. ''Y/N.''

''Enchanted to meet you, Y/N.'' He held your gaze and you bit your lip. ''Wanna get out of here?''

You walked beside Rafe on the beach, sandals in your hands, slowly getting to know each other. His family is from Figure 8 and he has two sisters. They own a huge house on Tanneyhill.

''I sensed from over there that you needed saving,'' Rafe said, stepping over a piece of driftwood. ''I take it you don't like Country Club events.''

You shook your head. ''I've been dragged to this event by my parents. Thank you for saving me.''

''Hopefully I'll be making your evening less miserable.''

''As long as you don't talk to me about golf, we're good.''

Rafe laughed. Noted. ''How come I've never seen you here? The island is small, it's impossible to not know everyone. Or at least cross path with them on the street.''

''My parents own a vacation home here, but we live in Charlotte,'' you explained. ''I was away on humanitarian trips for the past two summers so I happily skipped the family holiday.''

''The island is not that bad,'' protested Rafe. ''You just have to find the right crowd to hang out with.''

When you arrived home, you changed out of your dress and grabbed your phone, ignoring the notifications on your screen, and looked up his name on your social medias.

Hey nonny, my day was definitely awesome sauce because I played Sims for most of it! LOL! I've never done a tutorial but because I love the Sims Mod Assistant soooo much, I'm happy to help!

Check out some steps I put together under the cut!

Okay so first, locate the assistant and double click to open it. I have it saved in my D drive that's my backup and has all the extra space:

The application looks like this (open this):

Once its open, this is what you see. You can go ahead and click the "Start" button:

When you hit start, it will automatically look for your mods folder (if not, just manually go to it):

Looks like I have more duplicates!! This isn't NEARLY as bad as when I first used this program. Now, while you're sitting there shocked at the number of conflicts (ie. duplicate files), go ahead and create a new folder in your Documents folder and name it "Duplicates", like so:

We'll need that folder later. This next part might take awhile if you have a lot of duplicates (it took me 2 sittings), but go through and select ONLY ONE of the duplicate files. In the event you find that you have 5 copies of the same file, select 4 of them. The idea is to leave only ONE of the files in your Mods folder. Should look like this:

Once you've gone through and selected your files, hit the blue "Move Selected" button in the top right hand corner. Now you need to locate that Duplicates folder we made:

Click "Select Folder" and TADAAA! You'll see a green pop up that says "Selected files moved successfully". This means, all those duplicate files you selected have been moved from your previously bloated Mods folder to your new Duplicates folder, SEE:

At this point, feel free to delete the entire folder (or not, I wanted to go in-game and double check to see if I was missing anything first, do what you're comfortable with). You now only have one copy of these in your Mods folder (go ahead, cry tears of joy, you deserve it boo). Remember how we only selected one of the duplicate files? Yep, the ones we didn't select stayed in our Mods folder. You're golden, Pony Boy.

Now, Let's go back to the home screen and click on "Skipped Files". These aren't actually CC, they are usually preview images, etc.

I'm usually good at deleting preview images (I don't personally need them), but in this case I snagged a few. If you click one of those, it takes you directly to that file in your Mods folder. Do with them what you will.

You should see a substantial decrease in GBs or MBs depending upon how much CC you have.

That's it! Simple, easy and quick. Hope this helps you!

You were on the outside looking in; in more ways than one. You stood with Sam, who was not himself, on a street of a nice suburb. You hid in the shadows and stared into a large front window on a house across the street. Inside the house, sitting around a dining table, you saw the man you loved having dinner with his new family. Sam had explained in a bored voice that the woman and the kid were Lisa and Ben, two people you had heard of but never expected to see. Sam was...off and you knew you should be concerned for him but at this moment all you could feel was pain. The sight of them all smiling and laughing together like they were in a Hallmark movie had your heart aching in a way that was so tangible. You felt like at any moment, it would give out and you would die all over again. To be clear, it wasn't the sight of Dean with them that hurt you so much; it was knowing how little he cared for you. You had died; no. You had sacrificed yourself to save him, to save the world from the apocalypse, and not even a month later he had moved on. He looked like he was finally happy. This is heartbreak you thought to yourself.

You weren't sure how long you and Sam had stood there, watching them, before you both left, leaving Dean to live his new life. You thought back to the events that led you here. You, Sam, and Samuel had woken up when you should never have. The three of you were dead but someone or something had brought you back. The first thing you had done was go find Dean.

Next, you went to find Bobby and let him in the loop. You all had agreed to leave Dean out of the current events, so you had gone your separate ways. Sam decided to join his newly discovered family while you, in a heartbroken haze, decided to move on. In a car loaned from Bobby, you drove in a daze. You weren’t sure where you would go; you just needed to get as far away from Dean as possible. You knew it wasn’t true but you had hoped if you drove far enough away, you could forget everything. Forget him.

1 Year Later 

You were sitting alone in your motel room when you got the call. You knew this day would come, when Dean found out about you, Sam, and Samuel, but you had hoped for more time. You stared at your vibrating phone and Dean’s name flashing across the screen. You couldn’t, wouldn’t, answer it so you just stared at it until it stopped. He had called you three times before your phone chirped, letting you know you had a new voicemail message, then it went silent. Shit. Your phone buzzed again as a text message popped up on your screen. Shit. Shit. It had been a really long day and you were not ready to talk to him. You eyed the bottle of liquor you had bought from the gas station on the corner and decided to get drunk and face the music in the morning.

You didn’t know how much time had passed, only that your bottle was half empty. At some point the dingy room had started to spin around you. You had hoped the booze would help you to forget about your phone and the messages you had yet to read. Why couldn't you forget him? You had tried so hard over the past year. Thinking about Dean Winchester living his new apple-pie life was bittersweet; heavy on the bitter. Knowing he was out of the life, safe and happy, was the only thing that brought you any peace. You loved him with everything you had. Hell, you died to keep him and Sam safe. Then you would remember how Dean always looked at you, like he pitied you. He knew your feelings for him and because he didn’t feel the same way, he felt bad for you. Dean’s face popped into your mind then. His green eyes, flecked with gold. His strong, stubbled jaw and full lips. His smile, which was so rare but would light up a room. You may be drunk but you could never forget the details to his face. 

A groan escaped your lips and suddenly you were desperate to hear his voice again. Picking up your phone, you pulled up the voicemail you had been avoiding. You clicked the play button and held it to your ear before you could change your mind. There was a short pause before Dean spoke, 

“Y/N..It’s Dean. I know everything; Sam filled me in. Call me back.” 

He sounded pissed. With that one short message, a slew of memories filled your drunken head and all of the pain you had been trying to bury hit you at once. The sound of his gruff voice, his unique smell of whiskey, leather, and the impala. His tall, muscular body, his strong arms and hands. A tear rolled down your cheek without your permission and you quickly wiped it away with the back of your hand. You checked your phone again and read his text message. 

Call me. Now.

You snorted and mumbled drunkenly, “Bossy...boss pants. How are you so sexy over text. S’not fair.” 

Grabbing the bottle in front of you, you poured some more liquor into your empty glass and nearly fell out of your chair when your phone started vibrating on the table again. Dean’s name flashed across the screen and you wanted to hear his voice so badly, even if he was pissed at you. You resisted answering...until he called again and you couldn’t take it anymore. You clumsily picked up the phone and brought it to your ear and listened. 

"Y/N?"    

Dean practically barked at you on the other line. There was a short pause and then he spoke again in a more controlled voice. 

"Y/N. I know you're there." 

He sounded...sad? Frustrated? You heard a sigh and then Dean kept talking. 

"Fine. You don't have to talk. Just listen...Sam told me everything. Apparently the three of you have been back for a whole year." 

His voice was getting hard, angry again and you could hear him take a breath before going on. 

"I know you guys wanted me to have a normal life but I know now okay? I'm hunting again and I need to see you...We need to talk."

You had imagined this conversation and what you would say to him when he confronted you. Your drunken brain tried remembering the rehearsed words but you couldn't remember. At some point tears had started to roll down your cheeks. You were horrified when you opened your mouth and a strangled, broken sound came out. Dean said your name again but you couldn't listen anymore. You thought about the night you came back and your heart broke all over again. You opened your mouth the words rushed out in a sob. 

"There's nothing to talk about. Bye Dean." 

Hanging up the phone, you broke down. Your phone rang for a while before you shut it off. You sat alone, drunk in a craphole motel room, and finished your bottle of cheap booze and cried, wishing you had never been brought back. 

6 Months Later 

You were in between cases, which you hated because it left you with too much time to think. Working kept you busy, kept your thoughts away from the Winchesters, away from the past. You were at the bar, nursing a beer, when you heard a fluttering behind you. You knew what, or rather who, it was right away. You took another sip of your beer before turning in your seat to face Cas. He looked the same as always. He was wearing the same brown trench coat, blue tie, and serious expression. Cas nodded at you and then took the open seat on your right. He sat for a long moment, not saying a word. When he finally looked at you, Cas surprised you by saying, 

“You’ve lost weight. Why?”

Deciding to ignore that comment, you answered his question with one of your own. 

“What are you doing here Cas?” 

Blue eyes stared at you like they knew all of your secrets and you started to fidget in your seat a bit. 

“Sam and Dean sent me to find you. I need to take you to them.”

“You’re supposed to be a powerful angel Cas. Why are you letting the boys boss you around like you're their bitch.” 

You snorted when his face remained stoic and he said nothing again for a minute. 

“I don’t know what that means but they need to talk to you. Apparently, your phones have been disconnected but I suspect that was on purpose.”

“You suspected correctly.”

Cas sighed and an irritated look crossed over his face.

“Y/N I don’t have time for this. We’re leaving.

Before you could react, Cas had grabbed your arm and you were zapped through space and time. One minute you were in the bar and the next you had blinked and found yourself in Bobby’s living room. Looking down, you realized your beer was still in your hand. You brought it to your lips and finished it before setting it on the coffee table. Shit. You looked around the room and noticed Cas had disappeared again. Traitor. You mumbled to yourself. Picking up your empty beer bottle, you walked to the kitchen to find the trashcan and froze in the doorway.

Dean was leaning against the counter, legs crossed in front of him, looking at something on his phone. This was the first time you have seen him up close in at least two years. He was just as gorgeous as you remembered. You swore you could feel your heart skip a beat in your chest when he looked up at you and straightened. Anger filled Dean’s eyes and his jaw started to tick. Putting his phone down on the counter, he stared at you and you stared back at him and waited for him to say something. Anything. It felt like an eternity passed before he walked over to you, plucked the bottle from your hand, and tossed it in the bin behind him. Turning back to you, Dean looked you over and you panicked internally. His expression became angrier, his nose flaring slightly and his lips pursed. With gritted teeth, he said, 

“Look who Cas dragged in.” 

His words cut you, even more than his glare. You knew he was beyond pissed. You tried to turn to leave when Dean’s large hand had reached up to grip your chin, turning you back to face him. He continued to stare at you and you stared back up into his eyes. Suddenly, his arms were around you, gripping you so tightly you were having a hard time breathing. Dean’s smell surrounded you and you felt his stubbled chin rest on the top of your head. You had never hugged each other like this. Closing your eyes, you wrapped your arms around Dean and breathed him in. You knew an argument was coming but right now you would just enjoy being held by the man you love.

Qi Leren’s biggest reliance was the Prophet's Heart given to him by the Prophet, but the cooldown time of this item was as long as 24 hours. To try to wait for this to finish its cooldown, Qi Leren didn't think they could spend 20 hours safely.

Then what else can I do...

Glacier.

Underground glacier.

This word jumped into Qi Leren's mind without warning, and he suddenly remembered what He Yi had said before he died: "...Even if it’s frozen in the extremely cold environment of minus 40 degrees, it will not die, but will only go to sleep. It’s like the amphioctopuses’ soldier ant, and its fighting capacity far exceeds that of the workers. Leviathan is different from the ordinary octopuses. As long as it senses the approach of living creatures, it will be forcibly thawed..."

He Yi wanted to express the danger of Leviathan, but if you thought about it carefully, wasn't this its weakness?

40 degrees below zero wouldn’t kill it, but it would go to sleep. If he could lead it back to the underground glacier and then escape quickly, so that Leviathan, that couldn't sense the biological atmosphere around it, went to sleep, then he could wait for the Prophet's Heart to cool down before going back and killing it.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt that this may be the only way.

"I have an idea," Qi Leren said into the silence. "The danger of confronting it is too great. My idea is that I’ll lure it into the underground glacier and let it return to its dormant state again."

Then Qi Leren explained his reasons, and discussed specific measures with Dr. Lu and Du Yue. The biggest problem was that Leviathan has intelligence, and it was difficult to set traps for it.

"We haven't been to the underground glacier. I don't know what the terrain is like. If it’s an underground crevasse or a huge underground lake, even you will be in danger. Why don't we try the laser corridor, surely it isn’t stronger than steel plates?" Dr. Lu also had an idea.

Du Yue nodded at the side: "Yes qianbei, it’s too dangerous for you to lure it to the underground glacier."

"He Yi knew about the laser corridor, and that I can pass through it. It would be difficult to lead it into that trap... But it reminds me that we need to find the others. After making sure that they haven’t been infected by the octopuses, I want to send them out of the research institute first, and then re-seal the basement of Annie's house. If they’re running around here, they could easily be killed by Leviathan," Qi Leren said.

The corner of Dr. Lu’s mouth twitched: "I think they aren’t already done for."

It was hard for Qi Leren to refute.

"But if you want to lure it to the underground glacier, will it be fooled?" Du Yue asked.

Qi Leren tried to maintain a strong smile: "Yes."

Only on this point, Qi Leren had full confidence. He would be able to taunt the monster’s ire towards him. As long as the laser corridor trap wasn’t in front of it, this monster would be like the most loyal boyfriend, only watching him in a crowd, abandoning all temptations and running towards him.

The two EX lucks, Dr. Lu and Du Yue, were just like wild flowers and weeds on the roadside, which were ignored by this single-minded monster.

This kind of thing had happened so many times that Qi Leren was used to it.

Time passed by, and there was only ten minutes left in Qi Leren's privacy time. The three people discussed how to explain it to the audience later, and unanimously recommended that Dr. Lu pretend to be the anchor, so that he could think of his lines quickly.

Dr. Lu wore a tearful expression as he auditioned:

Ladies and gentlemen of the audience, I have bad news. Just now, XXX went crazy, together with XXXX. Then they were all killed by Qi Leren and God. This god-like Qi Leren is neither a special soldier of the military nor an interstellar mercenary. Please believe that he is just an actor... Oh no, a lead singer of a tone-deaf band. Next, the lead singer of the strongest band in history is going to fight the boss. Please look forward to it.

"You really seem like a default actor. Come on, is this filming?" Anchor Lu said with disgust.

The heavy-hearted Qi Leren was not in the mood to make jokes and rolled his eyes.

He didn't want to waste any more time, so he could quickly took care of Leviathan and then set off for Ning Zhou in Purgatory.

Qi Leren pondered it. He could only use Save/Load now. Secretly Observing and Rain Day Laundry were cooling down alongside Prophet’s Heart. There were still Pleasing Rations left, but according to his experience, this monster was not in the range of creatures that could be bought off.

Then there were these weapons. Qi Leren picked up a rocket launcher and weighed it on his shoulder. Dr. Lu opened his mouth and said, "Wow, have you used that?"

"No, but I was shot at with one and hit straight on," Qi Leren said.

Dr. Lu looked at him with an expression of "I know you’re acting, but for the sake of friendship, I will barely cooperate with you." Only Du Yue, who was stupid, sincerely praised: "Qianbei is so powerful!"

Qi Leren glanced at the time. It was the early morning of the fifth day. Let's make it quick.

Dr. Lu considered his physical condition and suggested that Qi Leren rest for a few hours to refresh himself. Anyway, the door to the weapons room had been locked by him, so there was no need to worry about Leviathan breaking in.

In the past, Qi Leren might have thought about it, but now he was full of thoughts about Ning Zhou and refused this proposal.

Dr. Lu sighed: "Well, suit yourself. In fact, I’ve thought about waiting in this arsenal until the army arrives and rescues me. Either way, it can't get in."

Qi Leren was not so optimistic. The monster would come up with a way to break into the room sooner or later. Here, he could only wait to die, and...

Suddenly there was a slight noise above his head, as if something was crawling in a pipe. The three men looked up and looked at the metal ceiling above their heads, and fell into a strange silence.

Qi Leren suddenly thought of a problem.

The air of this large underground research institute was unexpectedly clean, and there was no staleness of air being trapped. Its exhaust facilities were obviously operational.

Qi Leren's eyes turned to the vents in the corner of the ceiling. There was a metal shutter one meter square. It seemed that the sound of something crawling had come from there!

There was a sudden click at the front door, following telltale sounds of a key being jimmied into the lock. Both were enough to break the still quietude and have Aizawa cracking open a bloodshot eye, his sleepy, hooded gaze darting around the room until he finally spotted the sudden intrusion.

You stood at the foyer, slipping off your work shoes, with a look of mild concern on your face. Your lips held a slight frown that looked misplaced, especially when directed at him. He knew immediately that he’d fucked up.

A damning, half-empty cup of coffee sitting innocently on top of your old Heroics in Society textbook drew your attention first, before any of the other things. In your shared living room, the state of disarray all pointed to the simple fact that your boyfriend had come home and gone straight to grading.

Aizawa coughed and sat up straighter on the sofa. Though his body moved in slow motion, his mind raced to find some logical reasoning to explain why he was, once again, neglecting his health in favor of work.

Stuck to his chest was the exam sheet he had been eye-balling before succumbing to fatigue. Even after a somewhat restful nap, Aizawa could scarcely make out what hieroglyphics Kaminari had written on his paper.

You came and leaned into the back of the chair to read over Aizawa’s shoulder. Pointing to the true and false section of the exam, you wondered aloud, “Why do the T’s and F’s look so similar? I can barely tell which is which.”

He snorted lightly with a roll of his eyes, “That’s probably the point.” He said, but considering he had just woken up, it sounded more like grumbled nonsense.

Your noncommittal hum in response was all he got before you plucked the sheet from his hands. He watched as you came around and stacked up his papers, making sure to separate graded works from the ones he had yet to look at. How many times had you caught him like this? Passed out on the living room couch with class 1A’s assignments scattered every which way.

“You really gotta take better care of yourself, Shou.”

“I know,” he tugged on your hand, bringing the back of it to his lips. “I’m sorry.”

Your gaze softened at his words and the sleepy expression on his face. It was almost too endearing. “Yeah, okay, you say that now, but I’m sure you’ll be back to it again tomorrow.”

Aizawa couldn’t even deny your claim. He was a workaholic through and through. Most of his time was spent doing some form of work, whether it be in managing his class as a U.A teacher or patrolling the city as a pro-hero.

No one understood the toll it took on him better than you. You were a quirk counselor at Ketsubutsu Academy, after all, so it was your job to make sure that both students and staff were taking care of their physical and mental health. A lot of your work tended to trickle into the home, usually in the form of fussing over your boyfriend and making sure he was taking breaks and getting proper rest.

“You’re home early,” he commented. He kept your hand in his lap to fiddle idly with your fingers. “Something happen? … You look nervous.”

Even half-asleep, Shouta was astute as ever.

“Ah, not really. There’s this thing at work tonight, but I think I might skip it.”

His brows furrowed as he considered your words, “A work thing? Tonight?”

“Yeah, just a little ceremony for the staff, no biggie.”

“Sounds important. Are you sure you don’t want to go?”

“I—” you fumbled; how could you forget this man could read you like a book? Whenever you were dodgy or evasive, he knew just where to press until you were honest with him. “It’s actually an award ceremony. I’m being honored for my work at the school.”

Aizawa smiled, showing off a row of teeth in a way that made your heart skip a beat. You nearly missed his next words.

“I’m proud of you, kitten. Seriously, you deserve the recognition.” His long fingers threaded into yours, and you felt centered in the feeling of his firm grip like you were finally on solid footing. It definitely helped ease the tension off your shoulders.

“Thanks, Shou.”

“Of course,” he nodded. “So, what time is this thing, because I’m not letting you sit at home and miss it. And before you argue, consider the logic in remaining home when you know you’re being honored for something like this.” He stood from the sofa, stretching, and then cracking his neck. “It just isn’t rational.”

“So...you’re coming with me?”

You couldn’t hold back the surprise in your voice. It seemed almost too good to be true, you and Shouta going out together and to an event, no less. Usually, it took being dragged out of the house by his coworkers for him to enjoy a Friday night off.

Not to mention, no one knew of your relationship. His friends probably had their own assumptions but no one on your end knew a thing. This would be your first public outing as a couple.

“Of course I’m coming with you.” He said it as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. You smiled, realizing it was.

An hour later, you stood behind a seated Aizawa in the middle of your bathroom with a towel looped around your body, still dripping from your recent shower.

“You have to hold still, baby, or else it’s gonna hurt,” you mumble while adjusting your grip on the hairbrush.

He had asked you to help him out with his hair, but the task proved quite tricky. Its length and thickness gave you no other choice but to work in smaller sections, which you had no issues with. If only your fingers in Shouta’s hair didn’t put him straight to sleep again. This was the third time he’d nodded off and caused the brush to snag at his roots.

With a sigh, you attempted to run the brush gingerly through his hair once more. In the past, you’d seen pictures of your boyfriend as a child, always with his hair looking unkempt and so obviously unattended to; at least before he grew old enough to do it himself. Funnily enough, it was like you finally understood the reason why.

After a few more minutes of careful ministrations, you patted his shoulder and smiled. “All done!”

Aizawa looked up bleary-eyed, then shook his hair out and ran his fingers through it. “Nice, thank you.” He leaned over and pecked your forehead before standing to his feet. “Want me to do you?”

You snorted at the subtle implications of his words. “Go get dressed already. I can ‘do’ myself.”

“Oh, can you?”

You were tempted to play along with his little joke, but it was getting late and neither of you were dressed yet. Regrettably, you shooed him away so that you could continue to prepare on your own without him being a distraction

Following another thirty or so minutes, you dressed up and met Aizawa at the door. He had put on a crisp button up shirt and a pair of dark, tailored pants that fit him so well, you had to resist the urge to pinch his ass.

When you approached, he was standing at the mirror in the hall, tying his hair into a bun. You could tell he had given up on fussing with his tie just by the way it hung loose around his neck.

“Here, let me,” with deft fingers you undid the knot, sliding the tie off and then promptly tossed it onto the couch. You also unbuttoned the first two buttons of his shirt, smiling to yourself at the lidded stare Aizawa was pinning you with.

“You want me to go out like this?”

“I thought I’d let you off the hook,” you laughed. “No tie tonight.”

Closing the gap between you two, Aizawa planted a kiss at the corner of your mouth, as a silent thank you.

From what you understood, the ceremony wasn’t supposed to be a large one, still a good bit of Ketsubutsu staff and student body were present.

Already you could tell that Aizawa was a little put off by the amount of people, especially those who kept staring at you two. Though, it just couldn’t be helped. Not many knew that either of you were in a relationship. Dressed as he was, you wouldn't be surprised if most simply didn't recognize him as the pro-hero, Eraserhead.

Even you had to admit that your boyfriend cleaned up nicely, a stark contrast from his usual ‘rolled out of bed’ appearance.

“Hey! You made it!” Emi Fukukado, otherwise known as Ms. Joke, called to you over the crowd. You were just about to go over to greet her and the others when Aizawa cleared his throat.

“I’m gonna get you a drink.” he gave your hand a light squeeze and excused himself before you could respond.

“Hey, hey!! I’m so glad you’re here.” Your coworker had waltzed over and scooped you into a tight hug.

“S-Same,” you wheezed. “Mind letting go?”

“Oh whoops!” Emi laughed sheepishly. When she finally released you, you couldn't help but notice her looking around. “Weren’t you just with someone? I didn’t get a good look but I’m positive—”

“Oh yeah,” you looked around for Aizawa but couldn’t see him anywhere “I um...didn’t come alone. I came with my boyfriend.”

“Boyfriend?! Since when?!!”

“Ah! Well…”

Thankfully before you could delve into explaining anything, you were saved by the proverbial bell.

Over the intercom, the principal announced for all attendees to proceed towards the auditorium where the ceremony would be held. Although you followed Emi without question, you still silently searched for Aizawa in the crowd but to no avail.

You were escorted to a seat in the front row with all the others who were also being recognized. Still you couldn’t help wondering where the hell Shouta had gone. You could barely focus during the entire opening speech, your attention having been snatched by worry. If not for Emi subtly tapping your arm, you might’ve even missed your name being called.

You stood up and walked across the stage, willing your legs to move forward. The principal shook your hand and presented to you a plaque with your name engraved in gold lettering. Several others on stage, some heroes and staff, also commended you with handshakes and warm hugs. You murmured thank yous all the way to your seat, but still you wondered about your boyfriend.

“Hey, Emi.” You said as you handed her your award. “I’ll be right back, could you watch this for me? I’m going to the washroom.”

Emi seemed a little concerned by your tone but agreed. “Got it!”

Quietly you exited the auditorium and headed in the direction of the reception hall where you’d last seen Shouta, but it was empty save for a few students milling about the snack table. You were tempted to ask if they had seen Eraserhead, but decided against it, you could find him on your own.

After about ten minutes of searching you went to one of the balconies overlooking the sports field. To your immediate surprise, there stood Aizawa, though he seemed preoccupied. There was a cell phone wedged between his ear and shoulder. He noticed you not a second later, and concluded his call quickly.

“Shou, what are you doing out here?”

He frowned. “I got caught up in a work call, I’m sorry. Has it started?”

“It’s more than started, it's almost over.”

Your boyfriend looked stunned for just a moment before he let out a sigh, “I’m really sorry I missed it kitten,” he came to loop his arms around you.

“Like I said, it was no biggie,” you mumbled.

“You okay?… You’re shaking.” he whispered, lips pressed against your hair.

“I’m fine,” you responded. “Just cold.”

At that, Aizawa pulled you closer into his chest, his arms acting as a shield against the evening chill.

Something had been on your mind since the beginning of the night. It was an intrusive thought and although you knew better than to entertain it, it was also proving to be hard to ignore. Shouta had been acting strange since arriving here. You thought it was because of the crowd but he wouldn't have missed the ceremony for something as minute as that. You breathed in his scent, slowly gathering the courage to ask what had been rattling in your brain for a while now.

“Be honest with me, Shou, are you afraid of us going public?”

You felt him stiffen and pull back slowly to see your face fully. He didn’t ask you to repeat yourself, so you knew he had heard you loud and clear.

“What makes you say that?”

You looked away from him, teeth sinking into your bottom lip, “I don’t know… it’s just a thought.”

Aizawa didn’t speak for a long while. He still held you close, almost protectively, but he remained silent like he was trying to find the right words to say.

“Yeah...I guess you could say that.” He sighed, “but it’s not what you’re thinking. I’m not afraid of what people will think when they see us, far from it. But the thought of you getting hurt because of your association to me...makes me...hesitant.”

You blinked up at him. The way his jaw was set as he spoke became proof enough that he wasn’t as unaffected by things as he appeared. Always so cool and collected, and yet he was possibly the most capable of emotion. You pressed your forehead against his chest as you considered your next words.

“I get that. But that doesn't give you an excuse to run off!” You pinched his arm lightly as if it emphasized your point.

“You’re right kitten, although it was an important call.” his lips spread into a wide smile. “How can I make it up to you?”

“Hm, I don’t know, but I’m sure you’ll figure something out.”

Aizawa huffed and rolled his eyes at you, then bent to capture your lips in kiss. It was heavy and comforting in a way mere words simply failed to be. And for a moment, you allowed yourself to get lost in that feeling. His hand drifted lower down your back until he was nearly cupping your ass.

“Mmmm, Shou.” You pulled back, feeling the heat in your cheeks. Aizawa said nothing, instead he smirked like he had something planned. He cupped your cheek, thumb brushing away a stray lash.

“Shall we take this home?”
