hey btw before you start being angry at the 10 year old sephora kids and the ipad kids, remember that we should feel bad for them. because the world has failed them. it is not these kids faults that the world is so focused on materialistic things and that their parents don't know how to talk to them. that is the fault of social media and bad parenting. i said what i said.

wait how DO you work out how old a cat is. it's not as straightforward as "1 dog year is 7 human years" right?

not that straightforward but not as complicated as a lot of people seem to think either

the first 2 years combined = 24 human years. (i think it's 14 the first year and 10 the second. but in any case they're fully entirely developed adults by the time they're 2. doesn't matter all that much. you could say 12+12 and it wouldn't really make a difference)

after that it's 4 human years for every 1 cat year. that's it. it doesn't change again. it's not a different amount for every single year or anything

#they fully grow + mature fairly quickly but then they just. stay like that.#cats don't even really start LOOKING old until they're like 15 or 16. if they show it at all. most cats don't go grey ever actually #anti ageing skincare companies want what she has etc #so yeah initially cats age faster than dogs but by the time they're 5 they're about the same 'human age'. after that the dogs are older
