needless to say i am hooting and hollering as the scientist is locked in the punishment cage and the other skekses are ritualistically chanting about punishment. not because i particularly dislike skekTek or even for perverted reasons. it just brings me great joy to see the evil bird freaks do evil bird freak shit to each other

Bio: After the Great Division, SkekAli lived the first few years of her life wild and carefree just like the other skekses. She soon had a great fascination with the stars and planets. Because of this, SkekAli grew rather close to SkekTek. However her closest friend was SkekCen. They were known to go adventuring and making plans to become legends.

Even though many of the skekses caught her eye, there was one skeksis that stood out from the rest. Whenever they would be near each other, they're eyes would glow startling pink and symbols would glow on their hands. Even if SkekAli didn't have these signs, she knew deep down they were made for each other. However something happened to her lover and soon the Star Gazer forgot about him. She now spends her days flirting her way into favor, messing with SkekCen, and tending to her work.

Es una precuela de la película de 1982, actualmente el concepto del oscurecimiento se puede interpretar como un desastre ecológico.

Un grupo de gelfings descubre el secreto detrás del poder de los skekses y emprende un viaje para intentar salvar el mundo.

Al igual que en la película original, la serie está hecha con marionetas.

Research: The Dark Crystal

Description: On a fictional planet, the damaged Dark Crystal marks the onset of the age of chaos. 

If the crystal is not healed during the great conjunction of the three suns, the evil Skekses will rule forever.

What are skeksis: The Skeksis are a fictional species that serves as the main antagonists in the 1982 film The Dark Crystal and its related franchise. 

The word "Skeksis" serves as both singular and plural form for this species, with the singular being pronounced and the plural.

What are the urRu: The urRu, more commonly known as Mystics, were a race of natural wizards that lived during the Age of Division. 

Like the Skeksis, they were offshoots of the urSkeks, personifying their wisdom and spirituality, but lacking their passion and innovation.

What did I learn from this: From knowing the dark crystal from my childhood the devision of skeksis and mystics is a very interesting approach because of a life form relying on each other to stay together but using veracity in my species will be a great aproach for the fauna side of the project.

Day 1- Proud

I joined SkekLa's challenge on DeviantArt the Skektember! https://www.deviantart.com/skekla/art/SKEKTEMBER-Challenge-889665890 (I invite you to have a look at it).

The first theme was "Proud" so naturally I thought of SkekTek and his beloved Sidetic <3 I wanted to illustrate a scene after the terrible punishment of the peeper bettle and see how our Scientist recovered

Let's appreciate how beautiful Thra is. And the fact that most of this is handmade.

Not gonna lie: The dark crystal age of Resistance is the best Netflix Original in my humble opinion.

Inktober 52 - Week 24 - ‘Puppet’

Here is SkekGra  and urGoh from ‘The dark crystal: age of resistance’ having some fun with a variety of puppets. The characters are far more detailed but I simplified them for the sake of this image.

The dragon and pink worm puppet are based on ones I found in charity shops in the past and now adorn my desk.  I’m a terrible puppeteer by the by.

I’ve named this guy Mistopholies.

And this one is called ‘Ray’. 83
