Hi Matt! Since I know comedians these days love googling themselves and finding things about them that piss them off so they can whinge on stage about it, I have something to show you. Here's a list of people in history with disabilities who made more of an impact on the world than you could possibly imagine;

1: Michael Bisping, professional MMA fighter, had multiple fights at the highest level on the trot with an impressive win ratio with a missing eye, unbeknownst to anyone but him (would love to see you make fun of him)

2: Albert Einstein, most famed and celebrated professor of the 20th century, was on the autistic spectrum. Gave more to the world in a year than you did in your life.

3: Tim Burton, among the most famous directors, producers and animators in history, revolutionizing goth culture in his long career, is also autistic. He put in far more work than standing on stage and being a dick.

4: Stephen Hawking. Even an idiot like you knows this one. I'll leave it at that.

5: Hellen Keller, was literally deaf and blind for most of her life and was still a famous author. So whats your excuse for writing such shit, tasteless jokes?

6: Zack Gottsagen, an actor with down syndrome, became the first actor with down syndrome to present an Oscar.

7: Stevie Wonder. I imagine even he could see how utterly insufferable modern comedians are.

I actually don't get along with a lot of lgbt people because they're, guess what, PEOPLE, very few of whom I get along with anyway. Its never once been to do with their identities or rights, but purely because, as is the case with every demographic, most of the ones I've met are pricks.

"BuT ThEy GEt OFfEnDeD-" yes, when you deliberately scroll twitter looking for offended lgbt people, you tend to stumble across them. Wouldn't ya know it?

Anyways. Comedy is dog shit. Getting up on stage and deliberately being edgy because you've lived no sort of life away from people who you know you'll offend is not talent. Its something a 14 year old with an inferiority complex would do. Thanks for being another nail in the coffin of actual, watchable comedy.

Oh yeah, and if you want an example on how to actually joke about domestic violence, cross-reference the name "Wilbur" on my blog. See, its funny when you're making fun of the abuser and the fact that they do these things, but not when you mock a victim and make fun of them for having these things happen to them. Never once do I mention his victims, its purely making fun of him and the sheer absurdity of his behavior in the scope of who he is. And we're on Tumblr, literally the symbol of people getting offended, and never once have I gotten backlash for those jokes, so you, as a man with a Netflix special, have no excuse for such lacking creativity.

One last thing, for my readers... anyone wanna bet some petty cash that a woman or three from his past are gonna come out with a few tasty bits of drama about ol' Matty boy, if you know what I mean?

Hello! I absolutely love all of your art; the style, the writing, the comedy. All of it, really. And I've been looking at your swap art, (because who hasn't, honestly?), and I was wondering....

Dimension travel bullshit is my favorite type of crossover, so what do you think would happen if your swap au happened to meet the regulars? I think it would be interesting, mostly because the "villains" would see their lives if they chose different coping mechanisms, and the "heros" would see how their life could have been if they gave in to their negative side. But the "good guys" would also find a sense of empathy for their counterpart, because they went through very similar situations, they just had different circumstances.

But also this train of thought started because Dogman has a house, and had one even before he was Dogman, and Greg doesn't. And how their living situations would be talked about, or whatever.

Anyways, anyways, I'm rambling. I just find crossover meet-ups very interesting and fun to play around with. This wasn't a draw request, (although you could do that if you wanted. Hint-hint, nudge-nudge. Winky face.), I just wanted to see your thoughts! Love you!

i think for the most part dog man and swap petey would spend most of their time tgth js having fun and getting up to shit . they see the other person less as a different dog man / petey but more like a new friend who happens to look like dog man / petey LOLLLL theyd start taking the switch more seriously if it lasts a while bc then theyd start missing their respective sillies really bad

The sun was blazing, the perfect setting for what was shaping up to be one of the most bizarre yet brilliant days of my life. I was on set for the music video of my new single, “Drive Me Crazy,” which was all about wild summer nights and unapologetic fun. The concept? A mix of glamour, chaos, and just the right amount of ridiculousness. The centrepiece of the video? A driver, shirtless, in a car wash, dancing with a papaya-coloured McLaren and spraying himself with soap and water.

To top it off, the driver would be wearing a papaya McLaren F1 helmet, leaving the identity a complete mystery. Well, a mystery to everyone except me, of course.

Lando Norris, my not-so-secret boyfriend, had enthusiastically agreed to the role after I jokingly pitched the idea during a late-night conversation. “I’ll do it,” he’d said, grinning mischievously. “Only if I get to keep the helmet and embarrass myself as much as possible.”

True to his word, he showed up on set, helmet in hand and ready to throw himself into the absurdity of it all.

The cameras rolled as Lando leaned casually against the McLaren, the papaya paint gleaming under the studio lights. The scene began with him washing the car in slow motion, shirtless, suds dripping off his torso in the most exaggerated way possible. By the time the music hit the chorus, he was full-on dancing, spraying soap and water everywhere, even slipping at one point and laughing so hard the crew had to pause filming.

“Lando,” I called out between takes, trying to stifle my own laughter. “You’re supposed to make it look sexy, not like you’re in a comedy sketch.”

He lifted the helmet slightly so I could see his face, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “This is sexy,” he said, puffing out his chest dramatically before spinning on his heel and doing a ridiculous shimmy.

The crew was in stitches, and honestly, so was I. His carefree attitude was infectious, and it made the entire shoot feel like a chaotic party rather than work.

When the music video finally dropped a few weeks later, the internet exploded. Fans flooded the comments section with theories about the mystery driver. The papaya helmet and McLaren car were obvious clues, and within hours, Lando’s name was trending.

“Guys, it has to be Lando Norris!” one fan tweeted, attaching side-by-side images of Lando at a race and the helmet from the video.

Another chimed in, “If it’s not Lando, I’ll eat my shoe. The McLaren connection is too obvious.”

The speculation reached fever pitch, and neither Lando nor I did anything to quash the rumours. In fact, we found the entire situation hilarious, texting each other screenshots of the wildest fan theories.

But the real bombshell came at the next F1 Grand Prix. I’d always been a fan of the sport, and Lando had invited me to join him for the weekend. This time, though, there’d be no sneaking around, no trying to fly under the radar. We decided it was time to confirm what everyone already suspected.

As we arrived at the paddock, hand in hand, the cameras descended on us like a swarm of bees. Reporters shouted questions, fans cheered, and photographers snapped away. Lando, ever the joker, leaned in and whispered, “Ready to break the internet?”

I smiled up at him, squeezing his hand. “I think we already did.”

The reaction was immediate. Social media lit up like fireworks, with fans reacting in every possible way.

“CONFIRMED: Lando Norris and Y/N are dating, and I’m not okay,” one tweet read.

Another simply said, “This is the crossover I didn’t know I needed.”

During the weekend, I stayed close to Lando, getting a behind-the-scenes look at his world. It was fascinating watching him interact with the team, the focus and determination he had during qualifying, and the way he lit up when he talked about racing.

But my favourite moment came after the race, when we were back in the McLaren hospitality area, away from the chaos. Lando plopped down next to me, still in his race suit, and sighed dramatically.

“So,” he said, smirking, “how does it feel to date the internet’s favourite papaya driver?”

I rolled my eyes, laughing. “I think they’re more obsessed with you than me at this point.”

“Impossible,” he said, leaning over to kiss my temple. “You’re the real star here.”

The rest of the weekend was a whirlwind of excitement, but through it all, Lando and I stuck together, soaking in the surreal experience of sharing this part of our lives so publicly.

By the time we left the Grand Prix, the “Drive Me Crazy” music video had reached record-breaking views, and the internet was buzzing with memes of Lando’s car wash antics. One fan had even photoshopped him onto a shampoo bottle, dubbing it “Papaya Suds by Lando Norris.”

As we boarded the plane home, Lando turned to me with a grin. “So, when’s the next music video? I think I’ve found my true calling.”

I laughed, resting my head on his shoulder. “Let’s just get through this one first, yeah?”

And as the plane took off, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for every absurd, wonderful moment with him. It wasn’t just the racing or the music or even the chaos of the internet’s obsession—it was the way we could laugh through all of it together.

DP x DC: Dash

I just realized I haven’t seen a lot of things that actually utilize Dash as a character

Like, there’s things that have a character named Dash who is in it to some degree, but I don’t think I’ve seen something that uses the character

What do I mean by that?

Look at the character of Dash in Danny Phantom, he’s an archetypal popular high school quarterback bully type. He’s the Flash Thompson to Danny’s Spider-Man. His purpose in the show is as a minor antagonistic force, not really an antagonist on his own, he sets up Danny as an underdog ���unpopular” kid, and a source of comedy

But he also has a tiny dog named Pookie and fanboys hard over Phantom despite bullying Fenton, and he really likes football, has his best friend Kwan, he struggles with his grades, and dislikes feeling small and weak, something he explicitly says in an episode. There are some genuinely interesting character traits a person can use in a story

And I think that any of the few times I’ve seen him used in this crossover, besides 1 or 2 fics, you could have covered up his name and I would not have been able to tell who the character is because none of his actual character traits were used

Which I think is a shame because there is utility to having him as a character. There’s personal conflict and growth regarding him bullying/having been a bully to Danny

Plus the classic “is a bully because of internalized homophobia and has feelings for the one he bullies” it’s the entire dynamic of “swagger bishie” Dash and Danny’s ship. You could just as easily transpose that to another character

Or even just “makes things more complicated by being involved in a situation where Danny has to protect him” Imagine how tempting it would be to just let something happen to him? The conflict, the desire to just not save this one person

And of course

“Jason Todd breaking into Dash’s room and threatening to end his football career by shooting him in the kneecap, all because Dash bullied Danny”

There’s utility in using Dash’s actual character traits and I think we really undersell him as an interesting character that can add a little something to a story

Twig's GL Recs for March-July 2024

[Here’s my rec list for GLs through to Feb 2024 ]

Fake Buddies Korean, YouTube, 7 episodes (one ep BL, one ep GL, one ep crossover, and then 2 more BL prequel eps and two more GL prequel episodes), approx 45 minutes when compiled, Apr 27-Jun 28 2024

At first this was a little three-part series in which it turns out both members of the couple are secretly in a homosexual relationship with their best friends and using the other as a beard. Lots of comedy of errors and puns (“I like lilies better than roses”) as the characters try to make each other understand the situation they’re in. The backstory prequels were really cute friends to lovers, and it was really nice to see these couples land in solidarity! This series is short and cute and pure fluff.  

To the X Who Hated Me: YunO x Jane Korean, YouTube, 3 episodes ~6 mins each, aired May 22-29 [microseries complete, X who hated me series may be ongoing]

When the previous 2-ep miniseries under this umbrella landed (which I wrote about here: ), I had no idea it was going to be a series of microseries! These are all short but good second chance romances. This one has a “reality”-show-within-a-show format, with a frustrating misunderstanding, and a good kiss. Be sure to always watch past the credits for this series! 

You Are My Star, Thai, YouTube, 1ep 37 mins (aired as 3 12-min eps and then they compiled into this one short film), May 18 [complete]

This was a cute Thai GL that I enjoyed mostly because of the very clear cribbing of specific scenes from recent BLs. It was mostly trope-y (both cuteness and drama), with good kissing. See if you can spot the BL references.

Xiao Xiang Yi Jiu, Chinese, YouTube, 7 episodes 2 mins each, May 20-June 3 [complete]

This little microseries is about a girl becoming an intern for her crush/idol. Happy ending, and they do become explicitly girlfriends! No kiss because censorship.

Lonely Girls Korean, YouTube, 4 episodes 8 minutes each (32 mins compiled) May 14 [complete]

This is about a couple that struggles with the closet, lack of communication, and how to make their relationship last in the face of uncertainty. Also there’s good kisses. SukFilm have done other series before and since, but this is my fave GL of theirs so far. 

The Two of Us Deep Night spinoff, Thai, YouTube, 6 episodes, 15 mins each, airing May 30-July 4 [complete]

I was so confused at first, because I didn’t realize this was supposed to be their story during the events of Deep Night that we didn’t get to see. I was excited about this one but bummed that we started the miniseries with a health scare and then a threat by Meiji to marry some guy just to make Freya jealous? I found it a little frustrating that two women in their 40s could not be honest with each other. The couple is so cute, but the storytelling is not, so take this rec with a grain of salt. Still, it’s so nice to see women in their 40s being super cute and in love in between the drama so I’m keeping it on this list! I am very glad to have gotten the dance sequence and the bath sequence.

Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko Japanese, 8 episodes, 25 mins, airing July 4- August 22 [ongoing]

This is a laugh-out-loud funny office comedy in which Akaya flirts desperately with her senior colleague at work, Hiorko, who then spends her evenings complaining to her friends at the lesbian bar about oblivious straights who don’t understand the meaning of what they say. I've written a little more about this show here. It is my favourite GL of the year so far and if it stays this good is on its way to being one of my favourites of all time!

The Secret of Us Thai, 8 episodes, 50 mins each, airing June 24-August 15 [ongoing]

This series starts with the cutest episode of all time and then devolves quickly into serious drama lol but it did a good job avoiding pure “noble idiocy” so I’m hopeful it will continue to hold up. As of ep3 things are happening that I did not expect, so I’m really curious how this one will go. In the meantime, it is also worth noting that these actresses are excellent kissers.

[UPDATE: Of these two that were airing, I ended up thinking I was going to have to retract for The Secret of Us but instead retracted for Ayaka Is In Love With Hiroko. I had way more fun with Ayaka week to week but the ending was really disappointing; The Secret of Us in contrast nailed the ending. I wrote about it a bit here. ]

To avoid any confusion, this work is an AU of two of my AU's mashed together and is therefore not canon to StCMO or TASB lore!

Starting off by confirming that, considering Ford 419"3 gets to other dimensions via wormholes (which travel through both space and time), it is entirely plausible that Ford 419"3 could stumble across his significantly younger twin brother in the multiverse.

The very first paragraph just really sucker punches you, especially when it's obvious that Stan is coping with humor. It sets the tone perfectly and establishes Stan's character all within a few lines of inner dialogue. The next few paragraphs give a great look into how Stan wound up in the multiverse as well as Stan and Ford's dynamic, which is clearly strained.

The fact that Stan had a gut feeling about Ford 419"3 is a nice nod to the bond between Stans and Fords, who are bound together by the universe itself to maintain balance. And Stan just straight up ditching his current Ford to go investigate Ford 419"3 is hilarious because yeah, he absolutely would.

Ugh, how soft Ford 419"3 is with Stan is everything to me, indulging him in a scan just because Stan asked him to. Ford 419"3 is a paper man for Stans, no backbone to be seen lol. And the reveal! The way Ford 419"3 just fucking freezes, which of course Stan takes as a negative reaction. The poor bby. I love how Ford 419"3 is so effortlessly gentle even when he's having and internal crisis, catching Stan's wrist in an easily breakable hold- I gdhofxzdhzzhhdgcj I'm totally normal about it, clearly.

Not possessive Ford interrupting their heartfelt reunion, lmao. Love that shit. The immediate switch from sweet and soft to deadly and homicidal is near-instant for Ford 419"3. He's extremely proficient at both close and long range combat, having trained and altered his body to better accomplish his mission. I'd even argue that, between 419"3 Ford's combat experience, body enhancements, and his ability to see into the future, he's one of the most dangerous Fords in the multiverse.

Lee to the rescue! Lee is basically the human embodiment of a chill pill. Dude has calming Ford 419"3 down to an art form, lol. I love seeing their closeness from an outsider's perspective, especially in situations where you get to see that closeness. It doesn't get much better than Ford 419"3 abruptly shifting gears and scrambling to get Lee out of the danger zone when he fearlessly puts himself between two pissed off Fords.

I'm weirdly saddened by the fact that Stan has to announce himself to the Ford he's traveling with when he touches him (and is clearly worried about being hit), but that's probably because I'm so used to Lee and Ford 419"3, who would recognize each other's touch even half dead. I'm cackling about Stan being unceremoniously hauled away though, that's top tier comedy right there.

Lee taking the lead because the Fords are currently useless in their posturing is my Roman empire. Lee is smart and resourceful, able to navigate almost any situation you throw him in.

I theorize that the Ford's aren't speaking English because they're saying some vile shit to each other and don't want Stan and Lee to overhear, lmao.

The way Lee claps back to "Scarry" with "Kiddo" made me laugh, that's so him.

Pissy Ford is being pissy, surprise surprise. Way to stalk off without even using your own scanner to confirm that you are, in fact, leaving Stan with his twin and not just some random Ford. A+ big brothering right there. Smartest dumbass alive lol.

Best believe Ford 419"3 knows that Lee's gonna be insecure about his place in Ford's life now that he found his original brother. Lee is likely to distance himself with the intention of letting the two reconnect, trying to brace himself for (in his eyes) the inevitable separation between him and Ford 419"3. There's no reason to keep Lee around anymore after all, right? Wrong bro. So wrong. Ford's got two younger brothers now as far as he's concerned.

Everything about their interaction in the nest makes me so warm and fuzzy, Stan's finally getting the contact and care that he craves. I am a puddle, your honor. I eagerly look forward to more! I'll be re-reading this often, I can already tell. Thank you for writing this!!!

I wanna like brainstorm and never fucking finish a DC/The Boys crossover where Vought exists inside the DC universe as like a shady big entity/pharmaceutical company and instead of having manufactured heroes through out its history it will instead be more recent. They'd be a part of a government contract to create a "reliable" superhero task force that answers to corporate and political powers. Cuz, ya know, the Justice League doesn't answer to anybody.

Their PR machine paints the Seven as "the heroes America can trust." While the League would be painted as rogue vigilantes who "operate above the law." Vought debuts the Seven and still do the whole supes as celebrities thing. Of course, the Justice League absolutely does not like this. Batman in particular would hate it and he would know Vought as an awful company since the fucking beginning. As a point of tension and because this is how I feel they would work the League members would be hesitant to fight the Seven because to them they're more civilians and definitely victims. And it would be terrible optics.

I'd make Batman the focal point of the fic. He's on the Vought situation because he's human and is well versed in corporate culture and espionage. His psychoanalytical skills would be key, too.

There'd be serious stuff but some comedy.

First of all the Internet and media would be amazing

Superman would drive Homelander nuts and make him feel inferior and not even because he's really trying to.

Queen Maeve would oscillate between envy, admiration and lust with Wonder Woman. And Wonder Woman would genuinely try to be helpful.

The Deep would try to befriend Aquaman to gain legitimacy, only for Arthur to ignore his friend request.

A-Train would predictably view the Flash as a rival thus causing collateral damage trying to prove himself.

Black Noir was quietly sent by Vought to assassinate Batman once only to fail spectacularly.

Starlight would love them and they would love her. Case closed.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I need more crossover fanfictions in my life man there like. My favorite kinda of fic.

I like seeing characters getting thrust into wildly different situations and conflicts than what they’re used to. I like seeing characters react and compare differences between the world they’re from and the world they’re in. I like seeing characters with similar struggles getting to interact when they wouldn’t otherwise because they’re from two different worlds. I like seeing characters from different media clash with each other because they have differing perspectives on something, or seeing characters from different media learn from each other by interacting. I just feel like we need more of those, for funsies y’know?

For example, what if Edward Elric ended up in Dungeon Meshi. How would he react upon witnessing or discovering Falin’s resurrection and finding out that it worked. Other than absolute anger (which is a given with Ed’s temper), would he be jealous, just a bit, because Marceille succeeded in bringing back the one she loved? Why did she succeed while he and his brother failed and said failure has horrifically impacted their lives? How would learning about a SUCCESSFUL resurrection impact the actions he takes in the future? Would he relate to Laios, as both of them are dedicated older siblings who feel responsible for their younger siblings? Especially considering both of them feel directly responsible for their siblings becoming horrifically altered due to their actions. How does he interact with Senshi? Do they bond over similar views on seeing humans as small, but vital parts of the world’s ecosystem? I bet Senshi would love Ed’s appetite, what with him having a bottomless pit of a stomach (due to human transmutation shenanigans).

I dunno, I feel like there’s a lot of untapped potential in crossovers, both in terms of angst and in terms of just, general chaos and comedy. Like, imagine Sailor Moon in one of the Souls games like Elden Ring. Or putting Kirby in Disco Elysium? Can you imagine the insanity?! Cuz I can, it’s hilarious.

Hold His Broken Pieces (a dark Kylux story about non-sexy sex slavery and a long, convoluted, but ultimately hopeful path to recovery)

I've written for Fullmetal Alchemist (Roy/Ed), Marvel Cinematic Universe (Steve/Bucky, Bucky/Loki), The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself (Nathan/Gabriel/Annalise), Our Flag Means Death (Ed/Stede), Star Wars (Kylux), and Supernatural (Wincest). I also wrote fic for Card Captor Sakura when I was ten, not knowing what fanfiction even is, and for Gravitation when I was 16, but, thankfully, those works have been lost.

5. Do you respond to comments?

Absolutely. I cherish every comment and I do my best to respond to all of them.

6. Angstiest Ending?

Hands down "give me another version, a different room"; it's the second part of a Wincest trilogy "Other Voices, Other Rooms" where Sam keeps trying to kick Dean out of his life, and in this installment, it works. (They do end up together in the end, but that's a different story.)

7. Fic with the Happiest Ending?

Almost all my fics have happy endings because I'm a big, big softie. But I'll say Great Heights, a Wincest story of Sam's love for Dean that spans from pre-Stanford to Heaven and features so much angst, the ending feels that much happier.

8. Do you get hate?

Although I write Kylux and Wincest, I've never had to deal with hate (yet), possibly because I'm just a little guy, not popular enough to be noticed by someone outside a small circle of readers.

9. Do you write smut?

Yes. Yes, I do. All my Wincest fics are explicit because, to me, actual sex is the only thing the show lacks in terms of their psychotic, irrational, erotic relationship. So that’s the hole I’m filling (all puns intended). (I should probably note that I’m asexual, and it always thrills me when someone calls my smut hot, because I myself don’t see it like that.)

10. Do you write crossovers?

I've written about a dozen Kylux Adjacent fics, which are technically crossovers. Apart from that, I wrote a crossover between Our Flag Means Death and a horror video game Slay the Princess.

11. Ever had a fic stolen?

No idea. Hopefully, no.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, two, both Kylux.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?

Yes, with a few other members of a Kylux discord. We are yet to post it, though.

14. All time favourite ship?

Wincest. As much as I love Kylux, and I still do, Wincest is THE sibling incest I'd been waiting for my entire life. These two boys are perfect for me. They're the answer to all my dark, twisted heart's prayers.

15. WIPs you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

A Steve/Bucky story "Shared Death Experience" that I started in 2020. It was supposed to be a story about ghosts where (almost) everyone is dead but it's a comedy. I have 10k written, and I love them, but I just don't have any time left for MCU with my life taken over by SPN events.

16. Writing Strengths?

I've had people praise my phrasing, my dialogue, my characterization, my angst, my fluff, my porn with feels, and my humor. Naturally, I myself think people are being way too kind, but that's what they say.

17. Writing Weaknesses?

Plot. I either get my stories fully (or almost fully) formed in the middle of the night, or I have to sit down and squeeze the story out of my brain with a great deal of pain. Coming up with actual events to take place in the story is like pulling teeth with my bare hands. I can't sustain long plots at all; my two 100k+ fics were written by accident. Don't get me started on Wincest case fics. Which I keep writing. Because I hate myself.

18. Thoughts on mixed language dialogue?

I had Natasha use some Russian curses in When the Line Connects and a couple of OCs use Ukrainian phrases in How Deep Does the Water Go (a Kylux FBI!Hux & Hacker!Kylo AU), but I mostly avoid mixing languages.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

As I've already mentioned, it was Card Captor Sakura. I was ten. I don't remember a single word, which, I think, is for the best.

20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

I mostly forget every word as soon as I post a fic, and I almost never re-read my own work because I'm too embarrassed by it. However, I had the sweetest time writing "every day, we stray further," a Wincest omegaverse Christmas fic set after 15x19 where Sam softly and tenderly seduces Dean into the best relationship of their lives. This one, I did re-read and it made me happy.

I was tagged by @ferditheas ! Thanks for giving me a chance to ramble about my new favorite hobby hehe.

Just gonna chuck this at some of my other writer friends @mikaelmoviesandmore @bardic-bard @kksizzle @user-kanra @rashomonic and a couple fic writers I know from the Sonic fandom @mintenby @swirlyblast @funkyfandomlover . Zero pressure to do this btw!! I never do tag games, this particular one just appealed to me.

1) How many works do you have on AO3?

18! Among that number I have some poetry, 2 unfinished longfics and 1 unfinished series, so it's not the most impressive number. Still, I only made my Ao3 about a year ago, so maybe I should be a little easier on myself haha.

2) What’s your total AO3 word count?

120,655. Wowza!

3) What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

The Case of the Swamp Creature (second entry in my Chaotix series).

It's crazy to see these statistics after wseyh dominated for so long. Team Chaotix is giving it a serious run for its money!! I guess this speaks to my interests and audience changing focus a little bit. I'm glad people seem to like the detective goobers as much as I do.

4) What fandoms do you write for?

Mostly Sonic and FE3H. I just feel like those two are the most inspiring (although I could have recency bias with Sonic). I've written the occasional Zelda fic, but they don't tend to come as easily to me.

Everyone needs to watch their backs, though, because one day I'm gonna snap and write a multichapter Mariokart fic. Like, there's no "if." It will happen.

5) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I was so shy when I first started out---I didn't want to commit some kind of Ao3 etiquette faux pas, so I haven't responded to many of the comments on my older fics, just acknowledged my broad appreciation for them in the notes (I've had some regular commenters and essay-length comments that I think about all the time, but I totally haven't responded to them directly. Love you guys!!!).

I'm trying to ensure I reply to the all comments I get now, though. Reading takes a degree of time, commitment, and attention, even if it's just for a stranger's fanfiction on the internet. So if someone takes the time to read, enjoy, and comment on my work? That means a lot to me! And I want to show commenters that appreciation the same way they've shown it to me. Plus, maybe it'll encourage even more people to comment and start a conversation.

6) What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably this one where Marianne kills Hilda in battle LMAO

7) What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I don't think anything I've written has ended with a comedy-level resolution, but the entries in my Chaotix series tend to end in a happy kids-cartoon sort of way, and this one I just posted to Tumblr ends on just a pure cute note.

8) Do you get hate on fics?

Not to my face. In fact, so far, people on both Ao3 and Tumblr have been nothing but sweet and supportive!

9) Do you write smut?

Nah, not my thing. This is also a personal preference, but I like to keep my fics tonally consistent with canon even when they deviate plot-wise, and since I usually write about video games with General to Teen audiences, that's where my writing skews, as well. It just helps me with maintaining voice.

10) Do you write crossovers?

Not yet, but I would actually love to. Being a fan of Sonic and the Black Knight has made me want to put that hedgehog in a situation. Or maybe I'll put Team Chaotix in a situation. God can you tell they've taken over my brain

11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I'm aware. I'd be genuinely shocked if that were the case.

I've co-written original stuff outside of Ao3. I've also done prose-style rp (both fandom and original) before, if that counts. I will say that @battry-acid and I have considered working on a FE3H fic together, if I'm not mistaken...

I actually don't know if I have an OTP anymore, which almost feels sad to say. In terms of stuff I like, though: Marihilda has kind of become my bread and butter ship. In fact, any ship that involves Marianne gets a thumbs-up in my book (I actually wrote a little pre-Bernianne fic a while ago if that interests anyone 👀 I'm proud of how it turned out but it also kinda fell through the cracks lol). In terms of mlm FE3H pairings, Casphardt still takes the cake, I think. Basically I'm a FE3H multishipper who likes pretty much anything if you make a case for it, but I don't have any crazy strong feelings, if that makes sense.

I also don't really have any Sonic ships. Closest thing to a relationship I'm actually invested in is Team Chaotix found family (shocker!!). So if we're counting platonic or familial relationships, I'm definitely the most obsessed with them right now.

15) What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

For the record, I'd like to return to all my longfics that are on hiatus, but right now progress on taking back time (Sonic '06 au) feels a little up in the air. Maybe one day I will be struck by the inspiration I need to write more, but for now it's just gotta sit tight while I work on other stuff. I'm sorry Shadow the Hedgehog fans!!

16) What are your writing strengths?

I think I'm pretty good at naturalistic dialogue that fits character voices. I also think I'm good at both dramatic, angsty descriptions, and little moments of comedy. I enjoy writing all of those things the most, anyway. Some people have also recently told me that I'm good at writing kids, so that too, perhaps ?

17) What are your writing weaknesses?

I don't think I'm very strong at writing mysteries even though it's like the only thing I write. I hate planning out long-term mystery arcs and always worry that things will get too confusing/feel like a Lost-style "mystery box" that will inevitably disappoint everyone. My writing also tends to be either a little too sparse (not enough interiority) or a little too bloated in pacing. Lastly? I'm garbage at coming up with titles. Titles are my mortal enemy.

18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I haven't encountered this enough to comment on it.

19) First fandom you wrote for?

Oh, god...Harry Potter technically, several years ago 😖 But I was a kid, didn't get very far and also didn't publish it. My catalyst for seriously writing fanfiction was actually Zelda---more specifically the first draft of rerun, my Majora's Mask one shot.

20) Favorite fic you've ever written?

wseyh is very long, unfinished, and probably not perfect, nor is it even what I'm most enthusiastic about at the moment, but it also holds a really important spot in my heart, among my friends, and in my history as a fic writer. Like, I made an Ao3 just so I could start posting it. It has more than earned a place in my personal Fanfiction Hall of Fame.

However, if you wanna read something that I will get really excited about right now, like right this moment? Chaotix series. Who would have guessed?
