Due to an influx of abusive spam comments on April 21, 2024, we temporarily disabled all guest comments across the site. We have now re-enabled the ability to leave guest comments, but if you comment while not logged into an account, you may encounter a verification page that checks that you are not a bot. We are also working on other ways to help reduce spam, including a small change to the default comment settings on the work posting form that will be rolled out soon.

This has been our heather for the last several years, but as this site is growing and evolvong I had the necessity to change this heather (not the name of the site) to fit the people this site is for...
This is going to be our new heather now (I hope you like it!) featuring Tina Aumont (always! althoug now there aren't much posts about her, this site was born thanks to her!), her lovely cousin Maria Montez II, the gorgeous Gracia Sisters (Consuelo, Maria, Adita, Lucita and Teresita) and behind them their dad Isidoro Gracia García.
Of course Dominic Fuentes, Raïna Paris and more people from this great family will have their space here, but I just wanted to make a little introduction with some photos of the people featured here so you'll get a general Idea.
Thank you very much for all your love and support, this is for all of you, who keep on liking, sharing and comkmenting my posts and for all your contributions this is possible, so thank you very very much!! you're awesome!!
Eleni 😊🥰

For people who just logged on today and are wondering why Tumblr got this weird 1999 thing going on, it's an ad campaign, here's the icon in readable size and the relevant source code highlighted.

@staff @changes @wip
I have sent feedback today expressing my concerns around recent changes to posts. Removing icons will have a serious impact on my ability to remember who is reblogging what and frankly, is the kind of change that would make me reconsider using this site. As it stands I still have icons on my app and so I will be staying for now, but my desktop site has been made functionally useless thanks to this change.
In the feedback I submitted, I mentioned my concerns that tumblr is not considering the impact of changes like these to disabled users. Accessibility is not an optional extra. There are regulations in place in many of the countries that tumblr operates in protecting the rights of disabled people when changes are being made to services. Changes should not be being made without consideration of the impact they may have on disabled users of this site. As tumblr should know from recent dealings with New York city's commission on human rights, when civil protections are not taken in to consideration, and efforts are not made to counter bias within companies, there can well be a monetary cost.
I should think that after the recent settlement, eyes will be on tumbr, looking for any similar mistakes going forward. It would appear to me, that tumblr is standing on dangerous ground when it comes to any form of discrimination, and now is not the time for any kind of pattern to emerge.
I'm going to crosspost my concerns both in this post, the feedback, and in asks to official blogs. I hope to receive a reply addressing these concerns and it is my hope that any reply is not nearly as dismissive as those I have seen myself and others receive in relation to accessibility concerns in the past. I don't think it is at all amiss for me to remind staff that when it comes to legal protections against discrimination, willful negligence is not considered to be any kind of defence.

mildly distressed by the change from "dismiss" to "not interested in this", because one feels like i can click it to say, "okay, i've seen this pop up on my feed a couple of times and i'm ready for something new", while the other feels like "i dislike this and i never want to see it or anything similar ever again"

Tumblr
Tumblr, please
I am on a desktop computer and having posts squeezed into less than a third of the usable space on my browser window is horrible
I get that it’s good for mobile view as it streamlines things well But when I’m on my computer I have 70% wasted space on both sides and it does not work
Tumblr why do I only have 650 pixels of post space and the other ~1500 has practically nothing

Come on Tumblr. I was in the seeming minority of people who actually liked the new layout primarily because I could easily see my blog info such as post count, followers, and number of posts in my queue (especially helpful since i was often hitting the queue limit and wanted to know how close i was to the limit), access blog settings, etc. And you you’ve taken that away *and* made it worse than it was on the old layout, having to load a whole other page and lose what i was looking at?

when i was a kid i wanted to be a famous youtuber like dan and phil so that people would gay ship me with my irl best friend and we would be sooo weirded out by it and laugh and make videos joking about it but secretly it would make her realize her repressed gay crush on me and i'd help her through her gay crisis and then we would have a sickeningly sweet sappy romance and read fanfiction about ourselves together... anyways just found out she's married to a guy in the mafia now so i probably don't have a chance
#dan and phil fanfiction changed me#come into my lady door#and teen me saw that and went “i need to be that so fuckan bad”#i wanted to be dan but now that im a mature adult i understand that phil is better. phil guy 5ever nowadays#do i tag this as dan and phil. i still dont know tumblr site tagging norms and im like a year in now#dan and phil#dnp#phan

Deleted my original reblog for added information:
While I am not an official UX/UI person, I do do work which involves looking at websites, checking for accessibility, and other features and aspects to ensure that a site is usable by the greatest number of people.
If you are unsure of what to write, this is what I put down:
Hello, I and a number of other people have been switched to the new layout on Tumblr with no forewarning and I do not feel that some of the changes are warranted or useful for a desktop user
The largest and by far most hostile change in my opinion is the squeezing of posts into a section of the site that is 650px wide (barely more than the width of an old 480p video or display system) which in the age of people moving from 1080p resolutions to 2560p and even 3840p means that this leaves very little usable space for people on large resolutions to actually see posts made by other people
For example, view the attached image - I am using a 2560p monitor and while I do not have the browser window to its maximum width (it's around 2100px for me) the restriction of 650px maximum width for posts leaves almost 1500px of space either side with little to nothing on display.
This means that LESS THAN ONE-THIRD of my browser window is used to display posts by myself and other people, and causes a very cramped feeling. This is especially true of long posts which now take up a far larger portion of the site's height due to the reduction in usable width
With user icons ALSO being in this space and a buffer border on the right, that leaves an actual usable section at less than 520px which means that instead of the one-third space I mentioned above, this is now taking up just over one *quarter* of my browser window width
I do appreciate the move of the menu to the side, with text labelling each section and being far more accessible to tab through and easily see what's happening for each section (cheers to that!) but again, this is floating in a sea of nothingness which, again, is present in a small area of about 660px wide - this getting MORE space than the section for posts for something that - while necessary for the functionality of the site - should have less prominence than everything else
The right-hand section with the search, check out these blogs, and radar (removed on the image because they were not necessary) is, again, taking up more space than given to the posts, and again has a bunch of empty space especially when you start scrolling down and these sections just...disappear
There are numerous ways to make site displays functional for people using high resolutions (4k), standard (1080p) and smaller tablet/large phone (768px) resolutions but approaching this with what seems to be a one-size-fits-all design shooting for the smallest resolution leaves everyone and everything else cramped into a small space with zero options to change or expand anything
hey @staff what the fresh fuck is this
