re: your tags on beatrice’s parents & her relationship w em, agreed, absolutely we need more nuanced portrayals of both, at least if only for the bittersweet comedic shenanigans potential
beatrice’s parents being like 🤗 and proud of beatrice when they learn she’s become a nun, and then ??? on how to respond when they find out that she’s a nun, yes, but she’s specifically a secret ass kicking nun in a coven for secret ass kicking nuns
Or maybe like beatrice awkwardly lieing to her parents and/or leaving aspects of her job out. her parents like oh how’s the nun life going oh dearest daughter of ours (defo not in those words lmao) and then being !!! in concern when they notice beatrice looking almost like she got mauled by some demon (which, yeah that’s exactly what happened) and then beatrice like uh yes, that is the result of uh, me and sister camila tried to cook again (in this case, for once that is also true, somehow beatrice & camila managed to fuck cooking up so badly they unwittingly got a whole demon involved somehow)
beatrice bringing up meeting ava to her parents and her parents making the usual judgemental remarks and then beatrice like uh i guess i’m taking that as you don’t want to meet ava then
and then beatrice’s parents being like, absolutely the fuck not, we want to meet her, how else will we ensure she’s good enough for you 😤
i think her parents might actually be one of those diplomats that know dark secrets so they know what type of nun she is! they might be hard on her in a different way if they knew
it might be less we want you to be the best and more why did you hurt yourself? we disapprove of injury does that mean you’re not the best warrior sister? are you in line to be the warrior nun? does the warrior nun die early? you should aim for mother superion
and then they might start getting involved in how she’s doing in her training, it might even be why she’s the best warrior sister cause her parents want her to be top of her class she has so much to lose
and then when she introduces ava ofc there are cutting remarks and some small passive aggressive fighting. but they do gauge ava up and down she might somehow throw them off so bad she wins them over. and by win them over they’re not Warm towards her but they no longer try to ruin her life with bea by planting terrible manipulative lies in bea’s head every time she visits poc mother in law style.
i think beatrice might actually have a bad relationship with her parents but they’re definitely not distant the way lilith’s mom is. they’re super involves and they’re for sure helicopter parents which is WHY her relationship with them is so terrible.

Sister "I became skilled at so many things just so I would still have value" Beatrice not having hobbies makes me feral. Camila has her music, Shannon had her art, Mary had her cooking, Lilith has her being-a-massive-bitch, and Beatrice is over there like "I have encyclopedic knowledge of the fighting styles of every woman in this convent, and also I have spreadsheets"
girl, ava shouldn't have to yeet herself into another dimension for you to realize you need a better work-life balance

I dont know how to articulate this properly but the way avatrice in season 2 was treated as such a natural ship (for lack of better words) was just really important to me. Dont get me wrong, coming out stories are very important and i love to see them, but with ava and beatrice it just... happened ya know? There was no fuss about gay awakenings and homophobia (which is very big in my books), it wasnt "oh i realized im in love with a girl" its just "oh i realized im in love with my bestfriend". Its very important to see these stories too and i cant applaud the showrunners enough for this

bea having an irrational fear of the dark at night but bc theyre so in-tune w each other's emotions, everytime bea gets scared, the halo starts to glow, even if ava's asleep.
one night, bea wakes up from a bad dream and is staring at the ceiling in stilted silence -- the fact that ava wasn't asleep in her arms is already a bit of a shock -- and the halo starts glowing faintly, fighting off the darkness just enough. ava sleepily rolls over onto her front, half draped over bea and bea let's herself relax under her weight.
nothing can get her when ava's here. no monsters, no nightmares, no memories.
the ghosts are at bay.

Something something the symbolism of a bunch of patriarchal men getting the snot kicked out of them by a lesbian nun on a mission to save the woman she loves and who started the fight by stating that they would get no mercy by standing between her and Ava. Girl literally (because they were possessed) and figuratively fought her demons and won!
Beatrice going from saying, "Faith [in God] is my business" in s1 to saying, "Get the fuck out of my way so I can find my girlfriend (paraphrased)" in s2 is the best character development she could've ever had!!! She warned 'em!!
"Girl literally (because they were possessed) and figuratively fought her demons and won!" Do you know what this line did to me. She literally fought her demons. I hadn't thought about it that way before, but you're right?? She literally fought her demons!!!!

Semifinals Match 1
The Reverend Daughter Harrowhark Nonagesimus (The Locked Tomb) vs Sister Beatrice (Warrior Nun)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Harrow is a nun of the Ninth House. She's been described as a space goth necromancer fantasy sci-fi bone nun.
Sister Beatrice is a secret Demon-Fighting Warrior Nun of the Order of the Cruciform Sword.
The Reverend Daughter Harrowhark Nonagesimus
She’s great. She has so many fucking problems. She’s been running the goth space convent since she was 10. She’s puppeting her dead parents around. She doesn’t like tastes. She is extremely passionate about bones. She’s locked in a twisted bond of love and violence and devotion and sacrifice with her childhood best enemy. She lobotomized herself to preserve the best enemy’s soul. She’s been in love with the corpse of the Devil all her life. She goes around in bone jewelry and skull face paint. She’s a sad wet cat who was born in a cardboard box all alone, etc. She chopped another woman’s arm off and regrew a skeleton arm, in a sexual way. She has awkward little fireside chats with God where he makes millennia-old meme references at her and she does not drink the proffered tea. She saw God make a your mom joke and it “destroyed some cavern of her reverence”. She’s even gay. She’s everything.
Sister Beatrice
Sister Beatrice is perfect in every way. She had to be. When you're taught to hate what you are, when what you love, whom you love, brings you nothing but pain, all you have left is to be perfect. To hope that, if you excel enough, in enough ways, then you might be found worthy. Instead, her wealthy, bigoted, British diplomat parents shipped her off to boarding school in Switzerland for the crime of being a lesbian. From there, she joined the Church, married God, and became part of a secret order of demon-fighting black ops nuns. Being married to Jesus wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that she's fallen in love with a woman who rose from the dead, a beautiful bisexual savior with golden retriever energy and a heart of gold, and for whose training and protection Beatrice is responsible. Her best friend, no less. And roommate. Their apartment only has one bed. Maybe it is bad after all. But maybe Beatrice doesn't mind being bad anymore. Maybe she would rather worship her love, her Ava, than any God of any church. Maybe she would kill a dozen men who stood between her and her love while Ave Maria plays in the background. Maybe Beatrice would burn the world to save her. Maybe it wouldn't be enough, in the end. Maybe she would have to send Ava through a portal to Heaven, or Hell, to save Ava's life, moments after learning her love was returned. Maybe she would wait for her Ava to return too. Until, one day...

I feel like we don't talk enough about just how amazing Ava and Beatrice story line has been. Ava is a deeply deeply traumatized person. She has spent her whole life being essentially a prisoner who suffered daily abuse. She had no agency, no freedom just a vile old woman telling her all the time how she is broken, how she is a burden. The only friend she had was a child himself. The squatters she had were nice but that's just what they were nice. And the boy was hot but it was blatantly obvious that as far as Ava was concerned it was just about sex and adventure But then came Beatrice and the first thing she did was call Ava out in her bullshit but it was not done in a malicious way and I feel that Ava could feel the enormous difference between Beatrice calling her out and the vile nun who abused her her entire life. And then this fucking scene, Ava was having a full on breakdown and instantly sought comfort and Beatrice was there. Quite likely the only person who has hugged Ava and offered her real comfort for more then a decade. And then it just got more and more intense as Beatrice just kept caring, kept supporting Ava. And also kept her calling her out which I think is something Ava really appreciates because she can she that Beatrice is doing it because she believes in Ava not because she wants to hurt her But the effect is not just one sided. Look at Beatrice reaction in this gif. How stunned she is that someone is seeking comfort in her. We don't know much about her past but we know enough to form a reasonable theory. Look at the very first episode and how Mary treated Beatrice, generally how Beatrice acts with her Sister Nuns. She is friendly but you can feel the distance and based on her breakdown it's clear that her parents were deeply homophobic and knowing how cruel kids can be it's quite likely that she was shunned not only at home but in school as well making her closed, always keeping her distance so she won't get hurt again. And then comes this adorable idiot who pretty much burst through her walls, who sees her for what she is and still calls her beautiful instead of shunning her How could they not fall for each other?

Using the template made by @familyromantic. Spoilers bellow. And above I guess, sorry.
Under the Pendulum Sun by Jeannette Ng
The Coffin Path by Katherine Clements
Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma
Wildacre by Phillipa Gregory. They don't get married but Beatrice's whole plan is to seduce her brother so she can control the family farm
Josie and Jack by Kelly Braffet. The canon incest is just a kiss, but I'm sure Jack wanted more than that. Very toxic pair of siblings, Jack is very manipulative and Josie... well, Josie kills him
Wasteland by Francesca Lia Block
Only by blood: I could not think of a book like this. I see sometimes the "not raised as family" argument being made after the reveal of accidental incest, but not before. I think there might be a historical romance that Anne and George Boleyn's romance is justified with this trope, as they were raised apart, but I can't recall for sure
Burying the Shadow by Storm Constantine, they characters are Eloim and have no problem with incestuous relationship. The book has a brother/sister canonical relationship, a very sustive brother/brother relationship and a father constantly hitting on his daughter, but the daughter has no interest as she thinks that becoming pregnant by him would destroy her body (as her father is known to be 'big' and produce giant children)
A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. I'm obviously considering the Cersei/James relationship in here
Time travel incest: also couldn't think of any because, fun fact about me, I hate time travel stories, so of course I never read them. But I know there's one book with a guy who dates his grandma not knowing who she was
Into the Forest by Jean Hegland. Two sisters who cling together as civilization collapses. I think The Doloriad by Missouri Williams fits better, as in this one they do have sex for reproductive reasons, but I don't like the book, so I'm going with Into the Forest
Flowers in the Attic by V. C. Andrews. The children engage in incest but so had their parents (uncle/niece if you go by the original canon, brother/sister if you consider the later revelations to be canon). Cathy and Chris know their parents are uncle/niece, but only because their grandmother tells them, if it had been for Corrine, the truth would have always remained hidden

bea likes to just be.
ava doesn't think anything of it initially, the way that bea appears, a table or two away. whenever she sits down.
and it's not just with her. she sees her. lingering on an armoury bench when mary's cleaning her shotguns. leaning against the wall in camila's tech lab, completely engrossed in something else. and of course, slipping into a chair with a book while lilith and ava spar (aka lilith gleefully whacking ava til she snaps).
at first, she didn't understand. but as she learned the whispers of bea's affection, it made so much more sense.
the warmth of another's presence, a subtle i'm here for you.
the tension leaking from her shoulders. i trust you
the soft click of her shoes, scurrying off to join her family. i care about you.
then there, in the warmth of their swiss bed, ava realises what is really being said.
i love you.

Whatever Stevie Wants
A sequel to Every Baby Needs a Daddy that is really just a Corroded King love-fest. Mostly fluff! Will there be drama? Still contemplating that. Stay tuned!
Read on AO3
Steve thought about the night he met Eddie. Cold, hungry, feeling pathetic. But he happened to spark up a conversation with an alpha in a bar that he vaguely recognized. And now…well, now he wasn’t cold. He was sitting on a very nice rocking chair with the AC at the perfect temperature. He wasn’t hungry. The kitchen was always fully stocked with whatever he might want. It had been since before he moved in but ever since he started getting pregnancy cravings, his pack made certain just about every food under the sun was available.
And it was hard to feel pathetic and unlovable when there were four men practically worshipping him everyday. The love in their home increased tenfold when the pups arrived. Violet Adams, born of him and Jeff Adams, and Vanessa Munson born of him and Eddie.
Violet was napping in a crib nearby while Steve held Vanessa to his chest. Eddie was sitting across from them, strumming his acoustic idly, making naptime feel all the more warm and fuzzy. Steve adjusted his hold on Vanessa, helping her to latch on properly. Eddie was strumming softly just across from them but he could always tell when he got too distracted. His hands would get slack on the strings. Steve didn’t even need to look up to know his jaw was in the same position too. But he did anyway. He liked his alpha looking longing.
“When’s it my turn?”, Eddie teased.
Steve shook his head but tried to keep his body still from disturbing his pup too much. “I think you’ve gotten plenty of turns.”
The moment Steve’s chest started to fill out from pregnancy, it was like Eddie had gotten a new toy. He wasn’t the only one in the pack that went crazy for his tits but he was the biggest culprit.
Vanessa drank her fill and her eyelids got heavy now that her stomach was full. Steve put her in the crib on the opposite end of her sister. Once she was settled, he readjusted his shirt, covering himself up. Eddie swallowed in a way that wasn’t subtle at all.
----------------------
Their days were filled with domestic bliss most of the time. Steve had experienced a bit of the limelight here and there but since they realized the twins were on the way he went out less. Now though, he was feeling the edges of cabin fever. He and his mates were able to go out to eat more often since Eddie’s Uncle Wayne and Jeff’s mother Beatrice moved in to help with the twins.
There was something so special to Steve about having three generations living under one roof. He almost wished his parents could be a part of it. He’d even sent them photographs of his daughters through the mail. They hadn’t said a word since he and Eddie were officially married and his name was changed from Harrington to Munson and they dropped the case against him.
It seemed like they wanted no part in his life and Steve wasn’t going to force them into it.
---------------------------
It was close to evening when Steve found Eddie in the basement, writing while lounging in the home studio the band sometimes worked on. He crawled right on top of him and scented his alpha, purring as he got comfortable.
“Daddy.”
“Hey, baby.”
“Daddy, ‘m hungry.”
Eddie set the notebook and pencil down and rubbed Steve’s back. “And what does my baby wanna eat?”
About half an hour later, Steve was being hand-fed lobster by Eddie in a restaurant so exclusive, it felt like you needed a password to get in. Steve had started out using his own fork and knife to eat, but he let out one moan of pleasure at the food and Eddie started serving him personally.
“Tastes good, baby?”
“Mmm, so good.”
The wait staff was the kind that didn’t constantly come around the table and the lighting was on the low, romantic side. Just the right kind of atmosphere that Steve didn’t feel self conscious about the sounds he let out. There had been more than once when Steve felt like he was in danger of losing Eddie and the other’s interest. When he started getting heavy with pregnancy, only to have them adore his growing body.
When he finally gave birth and saw his parts of him now sagged and stretched, only for their gazes to still be in awe. It got to the point that Eddie wanted to use some of the pics from his maternity shoot on their next album.
And he only got more brazen with his shows of affection as time went on. One hand kept feeding Steve, sometimes licking away crumbs left on the corners of his mouth. The other hand was, innocently (at least at the moment), rubbing circles on his stomach.
“You really spoil me”, Steve said after swallowing his last bite.
“Sweet thing, not even this feels like enough”, Eddie confessed. His hand dipped further under the table, further down Steve’s body.
Steve spread his legs, even putting one in Eddie’s lap so that his mate could touch him more. Taking the advantage, Eddie expertly opened up his pants and it took very little coaxing to have Steve grinding against his hand. Eddie’s attention was held by his love’s enraptured expression, but then it moved down to the two dark dots forming on his shirt.
“Fuck”, Eddie whispered, mouth watering as he imagined taking a tit in his mouth right now, draining Steve through the fabric.
Instead, he pulled his hand out of his pants, heart breaking on the whine it elicited but staying strong. Eddie shushed him gently and kissed his cheek.
“Let’s get you somewhere a little more comfortable.”
That ended up being the backseat of a car, a familiar in-between when either of them got too riled up for being in public and yet couldn’t wait until they got home. Steve straddled his alpha’s lap and started to unbutton his shirt. His nipples glistened in the moonlight and Eddie reached out reverently.
He buried his face in Steve’s chest, scenting his sweetness there and then gave one of his nipples a lick, lapping at it and taking his time. Like an aperitif before the main dish. Only when Steve grabbed the back of his head, pushing him in more did he wrap his lips around and start to suck in earnest.
Steve started to grind again, just like in the restaurant. But instead of getting off on Eddie’s fingers, he used his husband’s thigh, pressing down, feeling slick gush out and make him slide even more. Eddie was getting off on him, on the sweet milk that he made for their pups.
“Daddy, Daddy please”, Steve begged, though he wasn’t sure what for.
One of Eddie’s hands snaked up his back, doing his part to keep himself latched onto the beautiful breast in his mouth. The other went to his ass, spurring him on to keep going as he got closer to his climax. Eddie groaned against his skin, it was impossible to get enough. Not wanting to ignore the other one, he pulled off, licking his way to the other side of Steve’s chest and took that nipple into his mouth.
Steve’s pleas turned to wordless moaning as he ground down and suddenly he was seeing stars. His whole body shook as the waves of pleasure rocked through him and for a moment, he didn’t know where he was.
Eddie licked his lips. “If I didn’t know better, I would think you were in heat, sweetheart.”
The laugh Steve let out was shaky and breathless as he ran a hand through his hair. Every time felt like he was in heat. Every time one of them put their hands on him, Steve felt like a slave to desire. Was this what it was like to be in love? It must be.
“You take such good care of me, Daddy”, Steve said, arms coming around his shoulders.
“Course I do. You’re mine, Stevie. And I’m never letting you go.”

dearest gentle reader [ n. hischier ] | part one
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

summary : rumors begin to spread of Lord Nico Hischier arriving in London days before the 1813 season is set to begin, putting the unlucky Jo Sinclair and her family on high alert. meanwhile, Nico arrives in London, but has no idea what's coming when he makes his own society debut with the announcement of his arrival in Lady Whistledown's first edition
warning(s) : none

༺♡༻༺♡༻༺♡༻༺♡༻ ༺♡༻༺♡༻༺♡༻
[ JO'S POV ]
The one thing that she's been excited about for the last few weeks is her sister's society debut. The debut is the only thing that Emma has talked about since her 18th birthday back in April. It's really been the only thing that she's been talking about since her oldest sister made her own debut.
Josephine herself did enjoy making her debut four years ago and she can't wait to see her younger sister follow in her footsteps. She enjoys every social season despite being unlucky in the subject of marriage.
They've been to the modiste so many times in the last five or six weeks to get new dresses made for Emma's debut and the balls that the family will attend over the summer. Jo has even gotten a handful of new dresses designed for her despite the fact that it's her fourth year out and she has yet to find a husband.
Yes, she's been unlucky. She has to find a husband this season unless she wants to have her parents set up a marriage for her. Jo has been constantly telling her parents that she wants to marry for love, not advantageously.
Their threats to marry her into a wealthy family to a man she does not know got a lot worse after last season when she couldn't secure a husband. She practically begged them to give her one more season to find a man that will marry her.
Two days before Emma is set to debut in front of the queen, her little sister comes running into the drawing room where Jo, her mother, and eldest brother Theo are doing some of their daily activities. Jo is at the pianoforte playing a classical piece, her mother is sewing, and Theo is doing some work at the desk.
"This has just arrived to the house," she says. "It's almost like a gossip column in the paper, but it's strictly a gossip column."
Their mother, Lady Beatrice Sinclair, looks up from the blanket that she's been working on for the last few months. "What has arrived to the house, dear?" she asks.
"It's called 'Lady Whistledown'," Emma explains. "Whoever she is knows so much about the ton, and there even are rumors of which eligible bachelors are coming into London for the season and which men are looking for wives this season."
Beatrice holds out her hand for the column. Jo continues to play on the pianoforte but her interest is piqued, as is Theo's. Emma walks over and hands the paper over to their mother. Her eyes scan the page, and her eyebrows raise in what looks to be confusion. Her face says she's very interested in the words on the paper that she is reading though.
"Oh," she sighs as she finishes reading. She looks at her three eldest children that sit or stand around the drawing room. "It is to be a very interesting season if this Lady Whistledown continues to write about the ton like this."
"May I read it, mama?" Jo questions. Beatrice's eyes fall to her eldest daughter. She shoots a glare at Jo since she has told her daughter to stop reading so much. "I just want to see which bachelors are and are not available. I want to see what options I have to explore this season before you and papa decide to marry me off to someone I have never met."
Beatrice seems to believe that lie since she hands over the little pamphlet, but Jo is genuinely curious what this Lady Whistledown has written about her.
If she has written anything about her, that is. Odds are that there is something written about the fact that she remains unmarried after four years out in society though.
Her eyes fall to the page and she begins to read the words written in complete silence.
Dearest Gentle Reader, You don't know me quite yet, but you will after what looks to be a very interesting season coming up. Many new and ready debutants will be making her debut in front of Queen Charlotte later this week, where the queen looks to find a new diamond of the season. Will the diamond come from a respected family of the ton such as the Archer family or the Pierce family? Or will the diamond of the family be from the Sinclair family even though former diamond Josephine Sinclair remains an unmarried woman. Rumors are that this will be the last season that the eldest Sinclair daughter will be able to marry for love like she wants.
Speaking of rumors, the Viscount Nico Hischier is coming to the city for the season in search of a wife. The Lord Hischier has not been to London since he was a young boy and I am sure that the esteemed members of the ton will welcome him back with open arms. It is not known why the lord is searching for a wife, but I'm sure that the many debutants, even those who have been out in society for years, will try her best to make a good impression on who is certainly this season's most eligible bachelor.
Josephine lowers the paper to her lap after she reads what is probably the most embarrassing words ever written about her. She lets out a shaky sigh as she tries to read whatever else this Lady Whistledown has written about her.
Though, an eligible man such as the Viscount Hischier coming into the city gives her hope of maybe finding love this season.

[ NICO'S POV ]
All he's been listening to for the past few days is the sound of the carriage on dirt as he travels from Bern to London for the summer. He is set to arrive in London at any moment and is staying with one of his friends from America. Jack did not need to open his family's home to him, but he would much rather prefer to stay with a friend than in a hotel. His back is grateful.
His mother has been pestering him to find a nice, noble woman to marry and carry on the family name with after his father's death a few years ago.
His older brother Luca decided never to get married and completely disowned the Hischier family and refuses to take the title of Viscount, so that's what Nico did. He took the title of Viscount despite thinking he would never have that title. All that means is marrying someone that will probably only marry him for his title.
Sure, there are lots of women in Switzerland he could marry but why not get away from home for a little bit and find a woman that will marry him? A title means a lot more in England than it does in his home country of Switzerland so there are more willing women to marry him for his title in London.
It's late at night when Nico's carriage pulls up to the Hughes house. He feels bad because he was supposed to arrive during the day but he left a lot later than he intended after his mother fought him again on leaving Bern to go to London.
Nico pulls his trunk out of the back and the doors to the house open. He looks over and sees a very casually dressed Jack Hughes in the doorway. "Ah, Nico," he greets his friend. "Welcome to London."
"Nice to see you again, my friend," Nico replies as he hugs his friend. "I want to thank you again for opening your home to me this summer. It means a lot to me and my back that I don't have to sleep in a hotel for the next few months."
Jack laughs and claps Nico on the shoulder. "My home is your home," he replies. "You're welcome whenever you'd like."
His trunk is brought inside by some of the housekeepers. The boys are quick to follow. "I do apologize for arriving so late today," Nico says as they walk up the steps. "I know I was due to arrive during the day but my mother insisted that I stay in Bern to find a wife again and I couldn't get away from her."
"It's not a problem," Jack replies. "You know I'm a night owl and never sleep so I was happy to stay up and wait for you to get here."
He smiles as the door to his temporary bedroom is opened in front of him. The housekeepers make their way inside and the boys follow them. Nico thanks them and they leave the room. Jack stays behind when they leave.
The room is small, minimalistic yet beautiful. There is a desk pushed up against a window that overlooks the road. A kind sized bed with white covers sits between two windows on the adjacent wall. There's also a grey closet pressed against the wall with the door.
"Very cozy," Nico comments as he opens his trunk that holds all of the belongings that he'll need on this trip. "Thank you again."
Jack sits on the bed next to his trunk and says, "The women have all been talking about your arrival all day. Apparently there's a new columnist or something that talks about the gossip of London and your name was in the first issue. I didn't read it but every lady and their mother is ready to throw themselves at you."
Nico looks at his friend as he pulls out his neatly folded clothes. "Are you serious?" he asks. "Why is my name so popular here? I haven't been in London since I was a boy."
"Since you apparently added 'Viscount' before 'Nico Hischier'," Jack teases. "Sorry to hear about your dad, by the way. Your brother seems to be taking it really hard."
"The hardest out of all of us, I think," he sighs as he hangs up his clothes. "He didn't want our father's title so he refuses to take it and disowned us. He won't marry either. I guess that's up to me now. It's why I'm here."
"Damn, I thought you were here to see one of your closest friends," Jack says. It brings a smile to Nico's lips as he pulls more clothes out of his trunk. "I do wish you luck, Nico. My brother is also going to be looking for a wife this season after having many secret rendezvous and raking his way around London since he was 18 so maybe the two of you can get together and discuss your options."
Nico rolls his eyes and finishes unpacking his things. "Maybe Quinn and I will share a drink or two while we find our wives this season," he comments. "I am very tired so I think I'm going to call it a night. We should go out tomorrow though so I can get reacquainted with London before the social season officially begins and I am not left alone."
"Absolutely," Jack laughs. "Have a good night, Nico. Someone will call you for breakfast in the morning if you'd like to join us. I'm sure Quinn and Luke will be happy to see you again."
He nods and Jack leaves the room. Nico collapses onto the bed with a heavy sigh.
The next few months are going to be rough. Hopefully he can meet and begin officially courting someone early in the season so he's not constantly surrounded by a bunch of women and their insane mothers.

Note
Your Season 3 wishlist for Ava and Bea to have a scene with Bea’s parents is now very high on my wishlist as well. It goes in multitudes of ways, but currently my favorite scenario is Bea uncharacteristically shrinking from them, Ava furiously and protectively them for filth as a response, and Bea gaining courage from that by getting in the last word and sealing it with a firm kiss on Ava. But all scenarios make me insane in the best way.
Yes, I absolutely agree!! I think no matter how much Beatrice has progressed, being face to face with her parents at first is always going to leave her a little shaky and withdrawn, but Ava has exactly zero qualms about that. Ava has dealt with shitty people her entire life, and even as biased as she is, Beatrice is literally one of the best people she's ever met -- so for her to be so easily dismissed because of One Stupid Fucking Reason...? Ava's gonna go off on them. And Beatrice is going to see that. It could be such a powerful scene.
Beatrice realizing once and for all that her parents were never right, that she should never have had to go through all that. I don't think she'd yell at them, really, but I do think that by the end of the confrontation, she'd be firm and unwavering; Ava's more important, and she makes that clear.
She hasn't lost her parents. They lost their daughter.
