i think one of the reasons why i'm so giddy about how buck's infatuation with tommy has been played by the show is because i want buck to be stupid in love with someone again. like i'm not gonna pretend buck being bi and with a man now is not an allure in and of itself, this fandom has always been dominated by mlm shipping so idk why that's thrown people's way like an accusation, but personally i, the number one fan of how buck looks when he affectionately kisses someone and how he watches them when they're talking and how he strokes their hair just casually and how he goes out of his way to just adore them, want to see him be insanely in love again. it's been soooo long since abby and like i didn't even care about that relationship that much but i literally tear up thinking about how much he loved abby sometimes, man, like just the way he loves, you know? and i wanna see that again, fuck, because while it's controversially if bucktaylor doesn't have any fans i'm dead yadda yadda here on my part, we haven't seen buck be sooo infatuated and adoring with her like he was with abby and he couldn't have that with ali, natalia, or lucy either and goddamn i just want to see buck be in love again

If Tommy already knew that his and Buck's relationship wasn't going to last since it was Buck's first, why the fuck did he pursue it in the first place?

And if you take into account that line he said about Buck taking Eddie with him to the Lakers game, it makes it sound as though he knew Buck was craving Eddie's attention the entire time, but chose to ignore just for the opportunity to get a kiss and more out of him.

Which is really fucking shitty.

what does the summer of dissatisfaction fic entail

buck has intensely mediocre gay sex for the summer but manages to convince himself that it's revelatory. except the revelation he thinks he's had, due to the fact that it's mediocre, is that he's doomed to being a Top forever because he just doesn't like it the other way at all. cue eddie (for whom buck has been battling weird and horrible and jealous feelings about the whole time, obviously, including because of eddie and his stupid boyfriend tommy's friendship) dismantling that idea.

It's sad that Lou and his character Tommy have a racist past in common. People can choose to never forgive Lou or Tommy for their past. People can also choose to forgive Lou and Tommy. Some people think that Lou has changed because he doesn't post the ignorant things he used to post. They are allowed to feel that way. I think the problem comes when people try to make others change their opinion by trying to imply that their opinion is wrong. Even IF Lou and Tommy have changed no one is obligated to forgive them or like them. The argument that Lou and/or Tommy have black supporters/friends so people should forgive them for being racist in the past is ridiculous. Forgiveness is personal. For example, just because some black people are okay with Lou and Tommy that doesn't mean all black people have to be.

i think for me the thing that's so refreshing about buck's coming out is that the show doesn't pretend that the world is all sunshine and roses, but it also doesn't dwell on coming out as a horrible and difficult ordeal. buck is obviously nervous to share the news with maddie and eddie, the two most important people in his life, because it's big and he's embarrassed about how he acted on his date with tommy! but he has such a strong support system that ultimately he's just happy to share his joy with. it's so true to character and not just a Very Special Episode and that really enriches the viewing experience!
