Abandoned Newcrest Savegame

Newcrest used to be a lively neighborhood, but now it’s nothing more than a ghost town. Buildings are falling apart, and weeds are taking over the sidewalks. Residents fled in droves, spooked by rumors of dark magic, cults, and even murder. With the town in ruins and its reputation in tatters, the mayor has enlisted your Sim to tackle the challenge of renovating these derelict buildings and reviving the community. It’s up to your Sim to restore Newcrest’s former charm and rebuild its lost sense of home.

The Curse Of Randomized Townies

This is just a perspective forged of my own experiences. If anybody else out there likes the random townie system in The Sims 4, your stance is valid. Keep enjoying yourself 💕

But for myself and others who feel the same way, I will be breaking down my stance on Sims 4 randomized townies, and the curse I find them to be on my game.

I have fond memories of a certain open world sims game. One of the most beautiful things to me about this game was the life it captured at all times. The idea that your sim was never alone in their world. All it took was a single button to instantly zoom out and gaze upon the entirety of the city your sim was part of.

The townies were evidence of that. They were alive. You could pan across town, click a random sim you had never seen, and follow them anywhere. The store rabbitholes, the public pool, their own home. There was life and movement around your own sim at all times. These townies had names. They had stories going on. They lived and walked in the same fashion as the player’s own.

Sims 4 did away with that. Gone are the days of community amongst modern sims. Now, we find them sealed away to derelict pocket dimensions known as “lots.”

And a pathetic amount of lots there are. To make up for the meager quantity of livingspace, Electronic Arts unleashed worldbuilding hell upon everyone.

Random Generated Townies. Strange and disoriented wanderers of the sims landscape, sporting an unregulated mash of Maxis assets and a few tragically enabled-for-random pieces of Custom Content. To populate the wasteland that is a town that can only house ten whole families, these corporately-deployed skinwalkers wander the sidewalks outside of homes and the halls of the few communal lots, eradicating any sense of consistency with their strange powers to pop into existence one day then vanish the next.

Have you ever made the mistake of falling in love with a random townie? Ask to move into their home, and you will be met with the eerie truth: there is no “home” for them. They are birthed from the void, and they return to the void.

The “life” they live is merely an illusion centered around you, to keep you feeling like you live in a world that is alive. But this illusion is not even skin-deep. A mere papercut is enough to sunder the suspension of disbelief in twain.

And for us worldbuilders: what of the world we wanted to make? The stories we wanted to tell? The lives we wanted to place in our worlds? They are unceasingly drowned out by a torrent of artificial, lifeless faces, destroying all semblance of theme, atmosphere, and continuity.

Violet leaves for Uni and the whole house falls apart. Imagine 4 sim days of a constant derelict house ON THE BEACH. I could go on a tirade about living in a nice beach house and it look like this BUT I won't. (yes, I'm a degenerate that plays with yellow pee mod.)

And in true fashion, Sophia led the way on Jade's birthday. Speaking of, you'll recall I named the Contrary's baby Jade as well. They were born on the same day of the round and I can now only think of The Office when Angela and Pamela were arguing(?) about who would get to name their son Phillip. I couldn't find a clip but the first clip of this montage fits the vibes (Angela as Opal)

Violet loves her sister. Picked her right up and didn't let go until the end of the party. 🥺

Buddy, the dog, was strangled so many times this round. Bless his heart. Also, the dev team really thought of everything. I forgot toddlers could eat sand!

And like a true dingus, I didn't take a picture of Jade as a child so enjoy the suspense!

SIKE! I went back into my game because who knows if I'd take a pic of her the next time. So, the time is now! She's very cute and grew up into a hoodie and skirt. She's just like her sister 😄

i had such a dark dream jesus

so basically i was shadow the hedgehog on oltantis (for some reason), which they had tried to regenerate as a film studio, but this has been abandoned. this meant at first it was really goofy, just me waving at cameras and making stupid faces.

the 1 survivor you meet in the original game was showing me around this underground level that had been built in case of future attacks. it was also pretty derelict by this point with a few leaks, but some of the cameras were still functional so i was still making goofy faces.

then, he took me into a vault.

the vault was a lot more scientific-looking than everything else. its lights were brighter than the old, dimmed lights from the rest of the underground. then, 4 chambers came out of the ground. for some reason, there were sims 1 characters inside, waving at us. more chambers shot up, of new people, but they looked grey and plastic. then, front and centre, a big chamber rose up to the cieling, smoking. it was harder to see, but inside was a younger shadow and maria, wearing an eyepatch, only grey and plastic-y like everything else.

being shadow, i understandably freaked out a little bit. then, a tall woman who said she had been working on project shadow tried to steal me away to work on me. i was screaming as i ran, but thankfully i woke up before she caught me

Chapter 10: Crossroads

Connor has arrived in Ferndale several chapters earlier than in canon. On the flipside he has a totally wrong picture of what he will find here.

For one, the supposed mastermind, Jericho, turned out to actually be a place, not a person. A derelict freighter, to be specific.

I set Connor lose at the lot’s edge and as always in this series watched what would happen without player interference.

Making his way through the corridors, Connor was still influenced by the Eden Club’s lingering atmosphere. He might hit on the first deviant he met, and not in the “beating up and arresting” sense.

On the lower deck Josh animated the children, Alice his adoptive son Eustace, to help with the chores.

Markus had decided to give his thoughts free rein at the fireplace and North was training. As an android she couldn’t exactly build muscles, but muscle memory worked for a deviant same as it did for a human.

In the command room Lucy and Simon were busy.

Vampire vs. werewolf home

Hi, my fellow simmers! ♡

Today I’m sharing my fourth Sims build built in the new, Sims 4 Werewolves, Moonwood mill world. Btw this is the first time I've been using Sims 4 custom content with this pack as well. 

The idea was to put a vampire and a werewolf live next to each other as neighbors so we can see what might happen? 

For the vampire house, I went for a more classic, Victorian style, and for the werewolf's house, I went with the cool industrial style.     

These houses are built in Moonwood Mill (The Sims 4 Werewolves), on the 40x30 lot. They both have 1 double bed bedroom and 1 bathroom. The vampire house also includes a greenhouse and a basement. And for the werewolf's house... It includes a workroom and a garage.
