I don't take it as personal anymore. Its best if I stay to myself, work, go to school etc. than to be or try to be in situations or connected to people who I may not be the best for. My personal growth is acknowledging my influence/negative thought processes & how they have effected me or others.
I chose to separate myself from some people because I haven’t seemed to have not been the best friend.
I took some time & chose to focus on getting myself out of horrible flashback that has lasted for several years. PTSD can be rough but has taught me so much about myself: I deserve happiness, I deserve good things, loving people, safe spaces…safe work spaces and it’s okay to have boundaries. Another thing I'm getting used to is knowing myself sober, being okay with who I am sober, it feels a bit strange honestly.
70-85% of my friends do not live in close proximity, literally from the east coast and spread everywhere else and life makes keeping in contact challenging sometimes we just don't hear from each other. Last week I heard from someone I haven’t seen in about 10 years. Life is interesting right now, real interesting.

November 15: Service 3
This post is shorter than the others. In preparation for the letter writing marathon Amnesty International was organizing, I decided to find and watch the half-hour information webinar on the topic they had on their page.
Investigation/Preparation: I simplyh found the webinar on Amnesty’s page and reserved time to watch it.
Tumblr media
Action: I watched the webinar and extracted useful information, for example how to participate in such a marathon but also how to organise a group marathon yourself, information which might be useful for the group CAS project.
Tumblr media
Reflection: I will likely reference this webinar when setting up the CAS project, as it contains a lot of information on how to set up group events.

Hi I was wondering if you had any tips on writing about animal maintenance specifically horses or know anyone who knows more about this? I’m writing a novel and I want to write about the main character horseback riding and their maintenance but I’ve only rode a pony when I was a kid and I don’t own a horse and my main character owns her own horses on a horse farm. So I am stuck, I hope you can help. Thanks in advance!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Hello! This is a great question, and not just because I had a horse phase as a kid that I never really got over. This is the sort of thing that can really trip people up. I might compile a reference masterpost about writing horses at some point, as I've gotten a few asks about the subject.
Your biggest asset: horse girls. More specifically, horse girls with social media. If you don't follow any, I highly recommend it, because they're very informative and often brilliant with the animals themselves.
Equine Helper is a channel which has videos on all sorts of very specific horse training tips, as well as broader subjects, like grooming and body language.
JET EquiTheory is great too, another popular horse youtuber who vlogs about her experiences with horses.
I also recommend youtubers Barrett Houser, JSH Horsemanship, and SimplyHAL. There are plenty of others, but these should get you started.
As for written articles, there are plenty of articles, posts, and forums that describe a typical day on a horse ranch, the daily routines of horse owners, and perhaps the most helpful as a "cheat sheet" for horse care, the daily, monthly, and yearly necessities of horse care.
I also can't emphasize enough how helpful it can be to read guidebooks on the subject, like The Complete Horse Care Manual, The Ultimate Guide To Horse Health and Care, and From The Horse's Point of View.
I hope this helps get you started, and happy writing!

Why To Seek Serenity?
To Seek Serenity literally is what it entitles. It is a quest to find peace in the midst of a chaotic life. It is about finding a balance within yourself that you can fall back on when things get too intense. Its about getting rid of those feelings we keep stuffing down deep inside that grow and culminate because we either don’t have the time to deal with them, don’t want to deal with them because they’re too painful or don’t want to accept that we feel that way.
This is a journey that I am still on like many of us. Energy healing has helped me to understand the world we live in through learning about how energy works. It’s intelligent, sensitive, intricate and follows certain rules and patterns that mirrors the functioning of the human body. I want to teach that to people.
My greatest goal with To Seek Serenity is to offer a helping hand to those struggling by removing negative energy, correcting energy systems and teach them ways to manage stressful situations or people so they don’t have to keep feelings trapped inside. I want to help people battling with depression, anxiety, identity, self-worth, emotional based health issues and people who just feel lost.
I want to educate people on the importance of energy, emotions, empathy, energetic/spiritual gifts, the power of thoughts, the power of words and most importantly how to take care of themselves first before they help others. There is a reason why there is a focus in society with wellness, yoga, meditation and so forth.
I want to create a community of people who are on the same journey and have gifts to help others to heal, let go of what doesn’t serve them and rise up to their highest potential.
If you’re on this journey then comment or PM me. Let’s start a conversation that can make changes to the way we live and feel.
Love

I received the following products complimentary for review purposes from @simplecorpglobal - Sulfate, Paraben & Cruelty Free⁣ ⁣ Swipe for more pics of the full line of products received. I was quite pleased with the way my hair looked and felt after use. I have naturally thick and wavy hair, so I preferred the hydrating products more than the volumizing which I gave to my son's girlfriend. They made such a difference with her normally thin hair. The hydrating products I used were so needed for me - my hair has been craving extra hydration lately. Love the fresh, clean scents of these products. Does not take a lot of product either to produce great suds and condition which makes the price reasonable for great hair!⁣ ⁣ Simply Hers Hydrating Shampoo ($20) - Cleanse, refresh, moisturize and strengthen your hair with our unbelievable hydrating shampoo.⁣ ⁣ Simply Hers Hydrating Conditioner ($20) - Moisturize and strengthen your hair with our unbelievable hydrating conditioner. ⁣ ⁣ Simply Hers SILKY Argan Oil ($25) - Contains a special ultra-light weight, non-greasy formula. Protection for all hair types with a silky-smooth⁣ finish.⁣ ⁣ Big Hair Don't Care Product Line - Made with the newest Bio-Mineral Technology that combines rich proteins and minerals for amazing volumizing⁣ results. Contains natural proteins that not only help with volume, but have great moisturizing, anti-aging and strengthening properties. ⁣ ⁣ Volumizing Shampoo ($20) ⁣ ⁣ Volumizing Conditioner ($20) - This includes UV protection, aloe gel and rich oils.⁣ ⁣ BAM! Blow Out Spray ($20) - Special blend of keratin and collagen leaves hair silky, smooth, hydrated and frizz free. This heat activated protective formula can cut blow drying time in half!⁣ ⁣ Subscription & Purchase Options available at simplecorpglobal.com⁣ ⁣ Note: They also have a pineapple hair mask that I am definitely going to try as well as an extensive line of products for me.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #parabenfree #crueltyfree #simplecorpglobal #simplyhers #bighairdontcare⁣ #shampoo&conditioner #blowoutspray #voluminizing #haircare #haircaregoals⁣ #haircareroutine #shampoo #conditioner #arganoil #keepitsimple #livefree⁣ #hairproducts #hairproductreview https://www.instagram.com/p/BuSXGv3gxJS/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=11njtaa2k1zpz

⟨  - ̗̀  into the new world  ̖́-  ⟩
how long had it been since she had seen or hung out with the younger female? yeji was almost positive it had to be before the summer, before she went to visit her father. however she understood it, somi was busy. the mga’s had probably drained her of any or all social time with her friends.
then she was also signed to trc. yeji will forever be annoyoyed that she hadn’t joined in on the last season, simplyh because she wanted to keep tradition. aybe even she could have been signed somewhere, practicing, dancing every day. maybe a little singing as well.
yeji sighed and looked at the time, approaching the trc building she wanted to make sure that her and somi didn’t meet too far from her new work space, so yeji sat at a nearby cafe, waiting. she could see the company building from the second foor of the cafe. wondering if maybe she would be there one day-- or at any of the other companies.

When you date someone, find out about their health, what works or doesn’t work. What offers them relief, increases flare ups or find out how to figure those things out with them. There’s nothing more than knowing someone but also not knowing someone, what may be causing riffs in the connection could be a mere unknowing of how their conditions effect their entire person day to day. Things like sickle cell, hidradenitis, diabetes, anemia, traumatic brain injuries, ptsd, or neurological disorders etc. can all change a person in a crisis/flare up or in the aftermath. Not only does the individual have to accept and deal with all of their changes they are also trying to be considerate of how this effects you and most often it can become an 24/7 worry and they may need time to themselves because they can’t explain how it makes them feel or how they feel so different from other people you have experiences of in your life.
Another big thing, any hormone therapy/treatment even birth control. They can cause some great frustration in relationships and may even have you making decisions or acting on impulses you may not normally or ever do (from personal experience/experience of close loved ones)
At the end of the day… a simple check in, compliment/reassurance, show interest in their projects/hobbies, complete not compete, “what did you eat today”, “How are you feeling in words other than happy/sad etc.” “what are WE doing for dinner”, “WE’LL figure it out” can remind someone that they still have to be present with themselves, they can acknowledge how they feel in a safe space, and using words like WE can help calm them when they try to take on everything by themselves.
It takes a team. If you don't have one, be one for yourself but ensure that you get one. Despite differences, we’re all in this together.

Use Affirmations to Achieve Your Goals!
I started writing this blog due to inspiration I had while waiting for a doctor's appointment (let's face it, we can all use a little extra help!). I've been posting up all of these wonderful affirmations on my Instagram and Facebook page but never focused affirmations on my own health before. As some of you may know, I have Hashimoto's disease, which is an autoimmune condition that causes my immune system to attack my thyroid. It's not fun at all and I've been trying a variety of things to help ease the symptoms. Then the thought hit me: how many people really know how to use affirmations? Better thought: how many people don't even know the power of affirmations at all? So here is everything in a nutshell.
Affirmations are a wonderful tool for inviting positivity and helping you to achieve your goals. They are positive statements of being that are centred around self-confidence, love, health, motivation and goal setting. As mentioned in my previous blog, there is a great power of the mind over your energy. So whatever positive affirmations you think about continuously will alter your energy to help make them a reality. To put it simply, it will put you on the frequency of success... It's been said that the most successful people in the world are the one's who think positively.
Some examples of manifestations are:
* I love myself for who I am in this moment
* I am sure of my abilities
* I welcome challenges positively because they help me grow
* I am healthy and strong
The most powerful affirmations are ones that are written as if they are a reality. If you write it as a future mindset, it will always be a future mindset. For example, "I want to love myself" isn't as powerful as "I love myself", or "I want to lose 5 kilos" isn't as powerful as "I am a weight shedding machine"! Have fun with it and be creative inventing your own!
Here are FOUR ways to use your affirmations:
1. AFFIRMATIONS JOURNAL
You can find heaps of affirmations online that are right for you but keeping track of them can be difficult. A journal allows you to keep them organised for all occasions. You can arrange them into groups such as:
* Yearly Goals
* Career
* Relationships
* Health
* Exercise
* Diet
* Creativity
* Spirituality
* Self-Love
* Confidence
2. MEDITATION MANIFESTATION
When you meditate you are in such a relaxed and open state with your energy that using and repeating affirmations can do wonders for your energy. I like to repeat the affirmations towards the end of the meditation. It's like you're programming your energy to help you be open to inspiration and motivate you in achieving your goals.
3. REMINDER NOTES
Some people like to stick affirmations around to remind them to use said affirmations throughout the day. It's best to place them in areas you'd see them most. If you want to make healthy food choices then it's a good idea to place a manifestation on the fridge or cupboard. If you're trying to build your confidence then put them on your bedroom mirror so you can read them out loud to yourself. Other places you might want to try are: the wallpaper on your phone, computer desktop, on the front door, or on your wardrobe.
4. STRESS RELIEF
It's always handy to have a small list of manifestations when things get super stressful. You can keep this list on your phone, in your wallet, or on a small notebook in your handbag. For instance, you might be at work and an important deadline is coming up and the stress is building. All you need is five minutes to breathe and read through your list to manifest confidence in yourself. Your list could include things like:
* I can creatively solve any problem
* I welcome all ideas
* I prioritise the things that are most important
* I know where to exercise my efforts
* I trust in my own abilities and my boss trusts in them too
* I manage time wisely
* I utilise all the resources available to me
* I trust in my co-workers abilities
So what ever your circumstances, what ever your goals, turn positive power of affirmations to your advantage.
