These Bavarian pretzels are vegan and are soft, chewy, and just the right amount of salty. They're a great snack or appetizer for any event and only need a few simple ingredients to make them.
Ingredients: 1 cup warm water. 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1 tablespoon sugar. 1 teaspoon salt. 2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted. 1/4 cup baking soda. 2 cups warm water. Coarse sea salt, for topping.
Instructions: Warm water and yeast should be mixed together in a small bowl. Leave for five minutes or until foamy. Put the flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl and mix them together. Melt the vegan butter and add it to the yeast mixture. Mix until you get a dough. Work the dough on a floured surface for five minutes, or until it is smooth and springy. Put the dough in a bowl that has been greased. Cover it with a clean towel and set it somewhere warm for an hour. Warm the oven up to 450F 230C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Mix baking soda and 2 cups of warm water together in a shallow dish until the baking soda is gone. Cut the dough into eight equal pieces. Make a long rope out of each piece that is about 20 inches long. Then, twist the rope into a pretzel shape. Place each pretzel on the baking sheet that has been prepared. Then dip each one into the baking soda mixture. Add some coarse sea salt. They should be baked for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they turn golden brown. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down a bit before you serve it.

Ingredients: 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips. 1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk. 1/4 cup unsalted butter. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 cup chopped nuts optional.
Instructions: Put parchment paper around the edges of an 8x8-inch 20x20 cm square baking pan, leaving some overhang to make it easy to take off. Put the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter in a bowl that can go in the microwave. To make the mixture smooth, microwave it for 30 seconds at a time and stir it each time. Do this until the chocolate and butter are completely melted. Add the vanilla extract and salt and mix them in well. You can add the chopped nuts if you want to.
