Simon was dropping off Olivia at Sofia's place, even though it wasn't too far from his, after they'd spend the day together, enjoying the free time the F1 break was offering. But something that his daughter had said during the day had to be addressed. Simon leaned against the doorframe, his arms crossed in a stance that was equal parts casual and guarded. “So, Olivia mentioned something about a family trip,” he began, his tone carrying that familiar mix of dry skepticism and understated concern. "Did she run this by you first, or was that entirely her idea?”

Well, outside of Julian, since his new job meant spending time with his brother, which he definitely didn't mind. "Thanks," she continued to smile at her brother. "He's not really," she shook her head, "I mostly do it to myself," to get the attention she had been trying to get for most of her life from him. Had she actually been one of his sons, her position in the company would be much more than it was today. She wasn't Garrett, as much as he wanted her to be. Instead, she was Margaret. "The end of the year usually gets pretty busy, anyway." She explained, lifting her shoulders in a wrong. "Everyone trying to wrap up last minute projects." @thesimonhawthorne

"I can't disagree with that," he replied with a slight nod. "You're definitely quite unique." He didn't need to add that he meant it as a compliment, he hoped that was obvious. He looked at her when she spoke and couldn't help but let out a small laugh. His own words had carried a bit more vulnerability that usually afforded himself and he didn't doubt her words. He raised an eyebrow, "acquired taste, eh?" he repeated, rolling the words over like he was deciding whether to take offense or not. “That’s one way to put it. Guess that makes you one of the rare few with refined taste,” he said, tilting his glass toward her in a quiet toast before taking a sip before he leaning back as well, mirroring her posture. “Careful, Dana. Keep saying things like that, and I might start thinking you actually like me.” @danaxallenlopez

"Ah, I've never been known to be part of many people," she teased Simon, shrugging her shoulders. "I know that I'm not," her lips curled into a smile as reached for her own glass of wine to take a sip of it. Dana shook her head at Simon, "I can't say that's ever been the case with you." She shifted her gaze over to him, leaning back on the couch that they were sitting on. "Sure, you may be an acquired taste," Dana spoke with a teasing tone, a glimmer of amusement in her eyes, "but you're not someone I get sick of being around." @thesimonhawthorne

Winter Festival, Snowperson building contest.

Simon adjusted his scarf against the sharp chill in the air. He caught sight of Olivia as she smoothed the middle of her snowperson. A faint smile tugged at the corners of his mouth before he quickly erased it, shifting his stance to seem like just another passerby enjoying the festival.

Out of the corner of his eye, Simon spotted Levi weaving through the crowd he straightened up and turned towards his friend. "Hey. Didn’t expect to see you here. You volunteering, or just out to soak in the holiday cheer?”

He nodded as he took the road towards the bistro. It would be a relatively short ride, which was fine by him, that was, after all, one of the perks of living in a town and not a big city. He had to laugh a bit when she asked her question. It wasn't that he was surprised she was asking questions, as he knew they had to get to know each other a little bit at some point, no matter where this was going to lead, but he did find the question amusing. "Bold you to assume I happen to not be busy with work," he replied. "I like climbing, maybe a game of tennis or golf if I can find the time. And I’ll admit, there’s something about long drives that helps clear my head." It was nothing really personal, and Simon did tend to keep people at the certain distance until he was more comfortable. Once the two were settled in the car, Teagan placed her phone in her bag, deciding to use this time to get to know the man she was on a date with. It may have been a 'set up' but she'd volunteered; might as well use this time to really get to know the other. She thanked him, taking a seat in the passengers seat and waited for him to start backing out before he asked where they were going. Offering him a smile she cleared her throat before instructing him to go to Nourish Bistro. She only hoped he had been serious when he said it wasn't bad. "What are some things you like to do when you're not busy with work?" she asked, doing her best to make small talk. @thesimonhawthorne
