Halloween Mystery Charity Bid

Join us at the Starlight Ridge Country club for this year's Halloween celebration. Hosted by Meredith Hawthorne, Halloween is getting a little bit more interesting for the singles in town with a fun mystery charity! Come in your best costumes, bid on your mystery single and enjoy your date! All money raised will be donated to the Worthy of Hope initiative.

The event will start on October 31st 9PM EST and will end on Nov 7 9 PM EST.

As this is a mini event, participation is not required. Feel free to HC your character is there whether you are or are not volunteering them. For those that do want to write a thread in this setting. There will be a section of the location set for partying and alcohol, but also a more serene surrounding in the gardens. There will be smoke machines, ghastly looking (but tasty) and fitting decorations to make the night look spooky!

For this mini event we're having a little mystery charity bid. You have up until 9PM EST October 30th to submit a max of THREE of your own characters (even if someone else was to write them down as a volunteer. For example, Amayah writing down Carmen's name, but I would have to discuss this with Kaila as she is the one who would have to submit Carmen to the main!

Bidding works as follows. Submit the desired 'costume' with your characters name to the main through IM. we will be using a wheel to randomize the winner if there are multiple bids. For example : Noah bids on the Grim Reaper. It is up to you to HC how much your character bid.

You can submit your three characters through IM. Please indicate who can bid on your character with either (f), (m) or (f/m) behind their names.

We will be writing down a short little tease about each character and assign a random 'costume' to them. This way, the characters you will be bidding on will be anonymous to even yourself.

The list of people to be bid on will be released at the start of this mini event. Bidding will close on November 3rd 9 PM. The winning bids and their prizes shall be revealed on November 4th 9 PM

The Halloween Mystery Charity Bid has officially opened! See our anonymous candidates in the list below and place your bids. Happy bidding!

Underneath you will find the list of candidates. They are anonymous and have been assigned a random costume. Bidding will close on November 3rd at 9 PM EST and announced on November 4 9PM

These are the rules:

You can message the main through IM on what candidate your character will bid for. Example is : Noah bids on the grim reaper.

We will indicate with an (f), (m) or (nb) or a combination of the three to indicate what gender can bid. For instance if the Grim Reaper says (m/nb) only male and non binary characters can bid on them. The little introduction on the candidate will indicate their gender as well, so no worries your character is bidding on a gender they wouldn't otherwise romantically be interested in.

You can vote with as many characters as you want and you do not need to mention an amount. This is for you to HC! If you happen to bid on your own character, you will be taken out of the wheel; no fun interacting with yourself now is it.

The winners will be chosen by spinning the wheel, so it will be completely random! We're doing this to promote new pairings and connections that might otherwise not be planned or considered.

We encourage everyone to participate with the bidding but it is not required.

While the Mummy is usually the one to wrap things up, she is in a desperate need of someone to unwrap her and resurrect her life. Could you be just the thing she needs? (f/m)

The Angel does whatever she can to live up to her reputation, having had enough experience with this life and the afterlife. she does whatever she can for one's happiness for the greater good. (f/m/nb)

Dracula left his sunny home to join us up in the colder Kismet Harbor to find other ways to warm his handmade coffin. Will you be the reason he finally has to make this single into a double? (f)

The Alien may be stand-offish at first, making sure he's accustomed to a situation first but when you try to really get to know the Alien, he thrives. Will you be the one to pierce through the Alien's mystique? (m)

This Robot has put a reset on their life which has worked out quite nicely. Will you attempt to push the robot's buttons and join its hardware? (f/nb)

When you meet the mysterious Samurai you'll instantly want to know more. What's important is that the Samurai is loyal to a fault but will also choose duty over himself. Will you make the Samurai change their ways? (f)

The Grim Reaper has seen his fair share of death and is swept up by the flames of his craft. Are you gonna be the one to show him how to live? (f)

They say that princes and princesses always come from royalty. This Princess has climbed herway up to riches and status. Will you be the commoner to sweep her off their feet? (m)

Here's our Harry Potter, who's hard childhood led to a popular high school experience, only to falter once the golden child image had passed and the real world snuck up on him. They may be hiding under their invisibility cloak a little too much, but will you take a chance and be their golden snitch? (f/m)

The Circus Ringmaster Is certainly a jack of all trades, taking a stand for the vulnerable and taking care of strays. Will you applaud him for his actions, or will you be the steadfast partner to this master? (f/m/nb)

This lonely orphan is looking for someone to make his bat cave into a home. Are you going to be the one to bring life back into Batman's Arkham nights? (f/m)

The Gladiator is a brave one indeed, having braved a couple of fires in his lifetime. He also admits that he likes to be in the spotlight every now and then, though no need to cheer him on constantly. (f/m/nb)

This Bumblebee stands out with their love of water, having learned how to swim rather than fly. This bumbleblee is always at it, good luck in getting a hold of her, but if you do, we're sure that you're having a grand time together! (f/m)

Our lady Pirate Captain has been hearing the ticking clock for almost her entire life. However, it's not a bad omen for a crocodile headed her way. You will find the Pirate Captain is a fresh of breath air, enjoying the finer things in life. Will you be the one to capture the booty? (m)

Perhaps the Cheshire Cat is finally breaking it's good streak. Switching from good behaviour to a little naughty streak. One thing is for sure, he will always have something wise to say. Will you be the one to look through the invisible spell this cheshire cat has cloaked himself with? (f/m)

the Plague Doctor was a bad omen for many in the old days. This Plague doctor has overcome his own health struggles and became a stronger person because of it. Will you be a good omen to this doctor? (f/m/nb)

The Mad Scientist has centered his passion on his trade as soon as he lay eyes on it. Some might say he's insanely good at it(get it?) Even though the years have gotten him to slow down, it will still be his first love. Are you ready to lay down the facts and prove our scientist wrong? (f)

There is always something mysterious about a Scarecrow and this one seems to be doing well with the ladies. Are you the one who will make him stay in your fields? (f)

The Pharaoh Has come from a family of riches, but this one too has made 'enemies' along the way. Will he choose to build his tomb in Kismet Harbor? Will you be the one to share his crypt? Come and find out. (f)

Loving a life at sea, our Mermaid is ready to dry off her fins and reeled in. Will you listen to her siren song? (f/m)

This Cowboy is still figuring out how to reel someone in. He's stepped out of his comfort zone into a world of new firsts. Will you yee to his haw? (f/m/nb)

This Genie can certainly make all your wishes come true. Lavish and riches are no rarity to the Genie, having seen plenty of the world in his lifetime. (f)

Whats better than a devil you don't know? A devil you do. This devil has many faces for a lot of people, and yet few people know his true face. He's looking for that one person who will. (f/m)

They say a cat always lands on all feet, and that they have nine lives. That much is true for this Black Cat. What's also curious, is that this black cat, like other cats, tends to go her own way. Will you finally find a way into her heart and make her feel loved? (m)
