Where: Manmade Snow Hill
"Listen man, I'm telling you. This is the best thing you will ever do. Other than having sex I mean. Nothing beats that but this is a close second." Finn laughed, grabbing the tube and running up the small slope to the top. "I promise that if you do this, I will make you a coffee. Or three. Maybe even dinner." He offered, looking over at him before starting to pout his lip. "I'm not above begging."

Open Starter: Kismet Harbor's 100th Annual Winter Festival
Ryder decided that instead of going back to his apartment alone and just binge watching some tv shows or flipping through his phone, that he would check out the annual winter festival that was happening. There was a lot to do and he was sure that he could have a better night than just staying at home. He walked over to a booth selling some hot chocolate, making sure to get some before checking out the different games they had. βOoo ice fishing and snow tubing. What to do first so many choices.βhe said out loud.

Open Starter: @Kismet Harbor's 100th Annual Winter Festival
Jade was excited for the Winter Festival, she loved this time of year. The cool weather, snow, Christmas, the lights.. everything. In Arizona it got cold and neighbors decorated but nothing like this. She had on her warm sweatshirt and was walking around with a smile on her face. She stopped watching the gingerbread house contest, knowing that if she was to make one it would look like one of her preschool students did it. Jade was lost in her thoughts that she didnβt notice someone trying to get her attention.

Settling in Kismet Harbor had definitely been life changing to Brody without him even realizing it. Going to therapy had been helping him out a lot with working on the things he had bottled up since he was a teenager and for the first time ever, he had his own place. He got himself a trailer at the trailer park in town around where his brother and sister-in-law were staying and even got a job at the marina working as a fisherman. While it wasn't something he wanted to do again, the weather wasn't that bad in Oregon and so far, the metal in his leg hadn't hurt once.
He had even made a new friend in Rory Jackson. The two had hung out a few times and Brody found himself really enjoying her company. Outside of his brothers, the woman had been someone he wanted to talk to all the time and now he even found himself at the winter festival in town just to do that. They had met up a little bit ago and were walking around when Brody spotted a game. "Serious question: would it be considered cheating if I played the fishing game and won?"

Who: @alinaceyhan and Ricky
Where: Winter Fest, Games
When: December 2024
"So, I was thinking we play some games and really build up our appetite before we grab food, or we could build some wreaths or make some ornaments first instead?" Ricky asked as he slid his hand into Alina's, linking their fingers with one another. "Or we could take a photo with Santa before the crowd gets here?" He didn't care what they did, he was just happy to attend the festival with the love of his life.

Nicole looked around as she stood in line with Ryder in his stroller, waiting to see Santa. She had invited Rhys to join them and she was going he'd show up before they got up to see the Christmas icon. Last year, Ryder was so tiny that he didn't realize what was going on, but now he was just over 13 months and was more aware so she was excited to see how he'd react. Finally spotting her son's father, she waved over to him and smiled as he approached. "Rhys, hey. Did you bring the camera?" She asked curiously, knowing while they did pictures with Santa, she wanted Rhys to take one or two as well.

"Ooh that's so pretty!" Alli spoke, pointing at a frosted teal ornament that was directly in front of the other. "Do you mind handing it to me? Of course if you're not using it." she smiled. She looked down at her wreath for a moment, using the opportunity to tie the bow a little straighter, making sure it was the perfect fit before she looked back up again. Wreath making wasn't her specialty but, she was using the same skills she used for jewelry making to prefect it, and surprisingly it was working out quite well. "I can't wait to finish this and make some ornaments too. Maybe even make another wreath with the ornaments I make, I think that'll be fun."

"I have to admit, I think I was a child the last time I built any kind of anything snow related, much less a snowperson." he admitted, looking at the other as he adjusted the Santa hat that was on top of his head. Josiah could be pretty festive - granted that's why he was wearing a Santa hat to a snowperson building contest - and he could also be competitive, but he wasn't here to build the best, he was just here to have a good time. "I'm all for doing whatever you feel is best, or we can wing it." he shrugged. " I just know I'm more here for the fun of it and less for the competition. Trust me, if you want to be here for the competition I'm likely not the partner you want to stick with." he chuckled. He'd been a little shocked there had been a 'partner' mode when it came to building the snow people, but, Josiah didn't trust himself to be able to do one successfully on his own; he only hoped the other hadn't only been paired with him out of fairness of the competition. "You do this a lot or are you a first time builder yourself?"

"Come right up to see Santa!" Chantel called, encouraging the child next in line to step forward to join Santa for a quick meet and greet along with a photo. She'd ordered this elf costume online for an event at Davis' Farms and it had come in handy when she'd agreed to volunteer to help out with Santa photos for the festival. She'd been standing in the line, watching the children as they made their way through, and she looked up offering a passerby a small smile. "I don't know if you're good with kids but we could always use another hand around here."

Sera loved Christmas. Then again, there wasn't a holiday that she didn't like. She was all about the celebration and party aspect of it all. It all came from her love of having a good time. This year was definitely going to be something different, though. She wasn't going home for the holidays. Her parents had asked her to, but after they cut her off and her whole family giving her a hard time for wanting something different for her life, she had decided to stick to Kismet Harbor for the season. She had decorated the apartment with Waverly and now with the winter festival, she was so excited to look it all over. She had grabbed a few gifts to send out to her family, though, and then some for Waverly and even Mateo. Speaking of who, she spotted as she walked along and smiled at her boss. "Hey. I was starting to think you didn't leave the bar." She teased him a little bit. "It's good to see you on the outside."

It had been the straw, which had broken the camel's back. And while Francisco's irritation had gradually eased and calmness had found its way back to him, as he pushed his way through the crowd of people, there was still a little inkling of it, lingering on in the back of his mind. Being called Mr. Grinch by the neighbor's kids had not been on his bucket list for this year and yet --
It was only when he recognized her familiar features among the crowd, something not much unlike a sigh of mild relief emptied his lungs in a thick cloud, briefly veiling his features, as his warm breath was met with the cold winds. "Hey", he spoke and even he was unsure why he sounded so out of breath. "Sorry I'm late." It was a merely automated response to everything - he had no clue what time it was. "I didn't miss anything exciting, did I?"

"Did you enter the gingerbread competition?" Harlow asked with no solid reason, beyond a mild suspicion of someone being her competition.
"God, you have no idea how excited I am to finally be back here. The Christmas fairs in LA aren't anywhere near as nice as here, if you ask me." A beat. "I mean, that's not to say that LA is not amazing. It's nightlife is definitely more exciting than this town's, but ..." Harlow shook her head, her faltering smile finding a renewed sense of confidence as it widened once more. "Sorry, I'm rambling." She might have had a little bit of mulled wine, already. "I'm Harlow." Her hand was offered for a cordial handshake - her parents had raised her right, after all. "We haven't met before, have we?"

Sawyer had finished the last of her projects and was now free for the rest of the year. It always felt good to have some time off, even if she was thinking of the jobs she had lined up for the new year already. She knew she needed this break, though, and she was ready to do just that. She made her way to get some apple cider and took a drink before she headed to enjoy herself at the winter festival. She found herself overlooking the gingerbread houses and she stood next to someone there and turned to talk to them. "Pretty impressive, huh? If only I could do that with icing."

After Val won him at the Halloween bid, they had talked about going on a date, but it kept getting put off because both were busy in their personal lives. Now that the winter festival was there, they were able to plan something and decided to meet up at the park. Eddie rubbed his hands together as he waited for her and after a few minutes, he spotted his date and smiled. "Hey. Glad you could make it." He said as he walked over to her.

Nancy found herself slightly hating Christmas this year. After her almost relationship fell apart quickly, she couldn't muster being happy about the holiday season. Part of her hoped the winter festival would help her mood a little bit, but as she walked around, it wasn't doing anything. She was about to head home when she ran into someone and she touched their arm for a moment before letting them go. "I'm so sorry." She looked at the man and paused. "I know you, don't I?" She asked as she tried to place it.

With Lililana awake, all Travis really wanted to do was be at home with her and Bella May. He hadn't returned to work yet as he was helping her around the house, but he knew someone had to do the Christmas shopping and so he got Ben to go with him to look around the festival for something to get his wife and daughter. "What about this?" He asked curiously as he held up an ornament. "Think it'd be cute for Bella's first Christmas?"
