"But I won't change a thing, ever," shaking his head, he looked down at their hands then smiled as she kissed his cheek. "Trust me, the pay off the greatest thing to have ever happened to me," he nodded, his whole life hadn't mattered up until that point, that event being the start of the greatest love story of his life. Kissing her in the garden of the inn, felt right and he knew that they had found their wedding venue. "It's going to be perfect and your brother is officiating right?" He asked, hoping that was still the plan, family meaning so much to him and knew it did to her too. "I'm thinking of asking Gen to be my best person, I don't have a brother so a best person works too right?" He asked before they turned to Nancy about the price, his eyes getting wide as she waved them off. "Wait seriously?" Before turning back to Alina and letting out an excited laugh. @alinaceyhan
“That it was.” She laughed a little bit and she rubbed his hand. “You better think so.” She teased him and kissed his cheek. God, she was so happy to be with him and she was so excited for their wedding day. As he kissed her lips, she kissed him back and sighed happily. “I can’t wait to marry you too.” Alina did a little hop as he agreed that this was the place they were gonna get married. “Yes. I feel that way too.” She told him and squeezed his hand before turning to Nancy. “How much is it?” She asked before the older woman waved her off and told her to consider it a wedding present. @enriquemarrero

Ricky laughed, "that part was both lucky and unlucky," rubbing his eye where it had hit him over the summer. "The pain sucked, but the payoff was oh so sweet," he looked at her, his fiance, and his heart skipped a beat. He looked around and envisioned everything, and he couldn't wait for May third to come. He nodded again and truly wanted to do anything he could to give her the wedding of her dreams. Seeing her blush, he leaned in and kissed her lips softly, "you're gonna look beautiful and I can't wait to marry you," he whispered before taking in a deep breath. "Honestly I feel like this is it. I don't know how to describe it but I feel like this is the place we're supposed to get married." @alinaceyhan

She smiled at him and shrugged. "Maybe it was that baseball to the head." She teased a little bit and laughed for a moment. As they stood there looking at the picture and standing in where it was going to be, she just grinned at her fiance and nodded. "It'll be amazing. This is honestly everything I ever thought it could be." Alina told him and blushed now herself. "Just wait until you see my dress." She said before taking a deep breath. "So, this it then or do we want to look at more places?" @enriquemarrero

Ricky blushed as she spoke, "how did I get so lucky?" He asked with a wink as headed inside, taking in all the decor of the inn and immediately feeling that it was perfect. "Yeah," he agreed and knew Nancy was just one of those people that everyone loved and was also the best at what she did. Ricky's heart raced with excitement as they approached the desk to see Nancy. Following closely by, he listened intently before leaning into see the photo. "It's perfect," he echoed, "it'll be amazing and the flowers will look great." He nodded looking at the photo again and then back at Alina, "you'll look even more beautiful amongst it all." @alinaceyhan
"It already is the wedding I've always dreamed of because I'm gonna be marrying you." She smirked at him before they headed inside and nodded. "It would be. I love seeing Nancy." The woman was one of the best in Kismet Harbor and she didn't know a soul that didn't like Nancy. As they approached the desk, the woman came out and smiled at them. After discussing why they were there, the older woman gushed and led them out back to where the garden was so that they could see it. "Now, in May it'll be filled with flowers and we'll be setting it all up soon to look like this." Nancy said and showed them a picture of what it'd be like. "So don't be discouraged by how it looks now." Alina looked at the picture and then back at Ricky. "It's perfect, don't you think?" @enriquemarrero

There was never a moment where they weren't hand in hand walking when out of the house, except at work. So as they walked into the inn, they were of course hand in hand and that was just how Ricky liked it. "Perfect, I wanna give you the wedding you always dreamed of," even if it wasn't a huge wedding, all that mattered was that Alina was happy. "Yeah, and true," he said with a chuckle, looking around. "I hope so too, it'll be nice to see her and maybe she'll give us a good deal." @alinaceyhan
She smiled at her fiancé as she got out of the car and she took his hand without thinking like she usually did. "It did. It's just how I imagined it." She always knew she wanted a garden wedding. Her obsession with flowers and plants had made her want to spend all her time surrounded by them and it just made sense for the two of them to get married in a garden. "Neither have I. You don't really need to stay here when you live in town, huh?" She laughed a little bit as she walked the path to the porch and walked up the stairs. "Hopefully Nancy is here, though." @enriquemarrero

"I appreciate it," and he truly did, Orion was absolutely one of his best friends and favorite people. Not just in town but in the entire world. They just meshed really well together and their friendship was easy.Ricky liked to celebrate anything and everything he could for other people and always had a hard time doing so for himself so he appreciated Orion doing so. "It's good, thankfully it's been nice and quiet and stress free. How have you been dude?" @orionxblakewood
"As your best....friend I have to....plus I can't just not...get one of my favorite...people something..." he replied with a smile on his face. Orion loved celebrating people, birthdays and happy moments. He strongly believed that everyone should be celebrated especially on their birthdays. It was funny that his own family in New York never celebrated his birthdays at all and he grew up to celebrating other people birthday. Orion knew that he got it from his mother's family. "So, how is...your special day...going?" @enriquemarrero

Ricky grinned and playfully and lightly kicked the wheel of the cart, careful to not actually put any force into it. "If I go down, just tell Alina I love her," he teased, shifted the basket in his hand. "Sourdough is good," looking to see if there was any that was freshly made rather than processed and packaged. "It's going well, and May third," he beamed, then turning to Lexi, his smile grew. "Damn, I thought I heard the rumblings but wasn't sure if they were true!" He exclaimed before stepping closer to her, "I'm really happy for you both. There's nothing like finding that one person huh" @lexisfontenelle
She laughed a little bit and nodded. “Got it. Next time I will.” She teased him a little bit; knowing full well she wouldn’t do something like that to him. “It definitely is. I prefer sourdough myself.” Lexi shrugged before she looked at her friend. “So, how is wedding planning going? You guys set a date yet or just leaving all of us hanging on?” She joked with him. “Sounds like Hudson and I with our new date.” She grinned. She hadn’t told him just yet that her and Hudson were back together, but he could’ve also easily heard it from around town. @enriquemarrero

"Perfect," he grinned and put the menu off to the side before grabbing his cup for a sip of it. He was excited to get married and he was excited that his best friend would be there. He knew Tyler had been through shit but he was glad he was doing better and able to get through it. "Oh absolutely, I'm down for anything and everything dude," waving him off, "you're my best friend so count me in." @tylerxday
"Perfect," he nodded, the quiet still odd between them. He was just glad they were friends again, as Ricky considered Tyler to be one of his best and longest friends. Between him, Cisco, and Orion, Ricky hit the jackpot regarding best friends. "I appreciate it dude," he nodded with a smile before smirking and raising an eyebrow. "I mean we can still do that. Have some fun like old times." @tylerxday

His heart raced as everything started to feel so much more real as they started touring places for their wedding. He was excited and almost tripped before opening the door for Alina, "of course," he said with a smile, helping her out of the car. "Absolutely, and the garden out back looked nice from the photos," lifting both shoulders into a shrug as he took her hand. "Lead the way," he motioned and followed her inside, "I've never actually been here." @alinaceyhan
Alina was excited to go looking around for somewhere to have their wedding. The first stop seemed to be at The Homey Inn and she grinned as her fiancé opened her door and helped her out. "Thank you." She said and looked lovingly into his eyes. "I agree. It'd be amazing. And I know they have a great dining room for a reception." Even if it would only be close friends and family, it was still gonna be a great place to go. "Let's go check it out." She took his hand and led the way into the inn. @enriquemarrero

Yes, it was still a bit hard to see Ricky and others get everything he thought he would be doing. In his head, he thought he was planning his wedding and buying a home. But he was single going home to his apartment alone each night. He nodded with a smile, it was nice idea in May. "I will do that" he wouldn't miss it. He had to make the offer, he would make it for any of his close friends because he had that pull from his line of work. "I had to offer" he smiled at the other. "Or a ranging bachelor party with the seal lions" he teased with a laugh. @enriquemarrero

"Great, and yeah exactly," he replied and nodded, "that's exactly what we were thinking." The spring where it would be nice out, sunny and warm, not too hot or too cold. And plus it wasn't like people would be on summer vacation and taking long trips either. "We'll send out the save the dates soon," he nodded and then grinned, "it's been a dream. I really love your sister. More than I can ever describe." @altanceyhan
Altan nodded, making a mental note of it, because he’d hate to miss his sister’s wedding when time would come. “Spring is good. Not to hot, not too cold. Weather is improving and it should still he fairly easy to get a hold of people to help or service for it. Apparently it is a lot worse in summer from what I have been told. His own wedding day had felt like a blur at the time. “How you finding it living together?” He added out of curiosity. @enriquemarrero

Ricky smiled, and hoped he wasn't throwing this all in Tyler's face, as that wasn't what he wanted to do by any means. He just wanted to let Tyler know that it would be a small wedding but that he was absolutely invited. He was one of Ricky's best friends so he had to be there. "Yeah, and May third we were thinking," he nodded, "so mark it down on your calendar. Though we'll of course send out 'Save the Dates' to everyone." Leaning on the table, he pondered Tyler's offer, "that could be cool. But I know Alina wants a garden wedding. But if that falls through I'll definitely let you know!" @tylerxday
He sighed he wanted to be there for his friend for sure, but it was still hard to see what he wanted in front of him. He nodded with a smile "That's good." he didn't think they wanted anything that big or crazy in the first place. "You know, if you two want the aquarium, I can do that." he knew he could do it without a cost. He had worked there so long and knew "and destination are too much it's always about the where and not the what is going on," not that he had been to a destination wedding before. @enriquemarrero

Ricky wiped his brow with his arm before nodding and fixing his gloves. He had always tried to volunteer as much as he could, especially for those less fortunate than himself. As he took the jar of peanut butter, he heard the other speak, "I try to. I've got some students who utilize the services so I try my best to help." He gave the other a reassuring smile, as he took a slice of bread and began to spread the peanut butter on it. Nodding, he u derstood, "yeah, before I became a teacher, I didn't vunteer as often. And exactly, helps you realize how much you actually do have compared to some others." He then grabbed the jelly to do the same as the peanut butter. "Absolutely. Spread the cheer through the year and at least make it a bit easier for someone." @lorenzocelestino

A nod of his head sent Lorenzo towards the sink, first washing his hands and then covering them with gloves before he made his way back to the other, bread, peanut butter and jelly spread in front of him. He wasn't one that had a lot of experience in volunteering, but it was something he really wanted to do more of now that he was back in town. "You come here a lot?" he asked, his eyes focused on the other before he began the motions of preparing sandwiches. "I guess I never thought about the opportunity to volunteer here a lot. It's always the holidays that I think makes people think to come here." he exhaled. "I guess that's even more of a reason to be here throughout the year though, right?" @enriquemarrero

Who: @alinaceyhan and Ricky
Where: The Homey Inn
When: March 28, 2025
Now that they had settled on a date, Ricky was excited to go tour some places where they could potentially hold their wedding. "So, the Homey Inn could be cute to have the wedding?" Ricky asked as he opened the passenger door to his car and extended a hand for Alina to take. "A cute garden party could be fun!"

He chuckled in response to her reaction before he then nodded. "Oh, well we'll just have to save up so we can go," he said as a matter of factly, stopping his massaging of her shoulders and sitting on the desk beside her. "Absolutely, I don't remember much of Miami, I've been here in Kismet since I was five so," he shrugged but he'd go back there especially with Alina and especially since he'd have a very slim chance of running into his father there. Taking her hand, "exactly. You're my forever after and I'm excited to spend the rest of my life with you." Hearing the date made it seem so much more real, which made him so excited, "Perfect. And absolutely, we can even do each of them from the both of us if you'd like," instead of separate gifts, or they could do separate gifts, he was fine with either. "Good question, maybe in a garden somewhere in town?" He wasn't religious and didn't need it to be in a church or anything, as a garden, surrounded by loved ones was perfect. @alinaceyhan
Alina scrunched up her nose for a moment as he booped her nose and she laughed. "I haven't. My parents talked about it, but I've never been there." She listened to him and nodded. "Well, I would one day. I'd like to see where you grew up." Though, she wouldn't pressure him into going if he really didn't want to go. "You'll never have to. We're going to be together forever." She grinned and touched his hand; giving it a squeeze. "May third." She said back again and grinned even more. They officially had their date. "We'll get her a gift. We'll get both our moms a gift." She said happily. "Now, where should we get married?" @enriquemarrero

Ricky smiled right back at her and looked at her cart before focusing on her. "It's all good," he grinned and playfully hip bumped her shopping cart. "Just as long as you don't clip my ankles," he looked down and shuddered, rubbing his ankle with his other foot. Nodding, "Yeah," he gestured back, "I wanna change it up a bit but don't know what to try. White bread is getting a bit boring ya know?" @lexisfontenelle
She laughed a little bit as she stopped and looked at him. “Hey. Sorry about that. I thought it’d be funny to nudge you a little.” She grinned at him. “Having issues picking out bread?” She asked curiously and pointed to what he was just looking at. “They really have too many options these days. It’s kinda ridiculous.” @enriquemarrero

Ricky nodded and smile, understanding what Tyler meant and was still going through. "Sometimes trying is all you can do," he shrugged and took a sip of his water while they wisted for their food. Laughing at all the questions, he nodded and explained what their plans were. "We're thinking sometime in May and in a garden. Nothing major," he shook his head and assured him. "Just our closest family and friends, and local. Definitely not having a destination wedding, that's too expensive." @tylerxday
He nodded with a smile, glad to be there and invited still. He did care about Ricky, still like brother to him. He placed his order with the server and thanked them with a smile. "A bit..." he really didn't want to comment on all of it anymore. "Trying still." he looked at Ricky, not telling him or anyone on the way he was getting help with his issues. "But what are the wedding plans? like going someplace? A park? Church, what are you all looking into?" he asked, wondering. @enriquemarrero

Grocery shopping after work, Ricky had a full cart of various items needed for his and Alina's apartment. Standing in front of the vast expanses of bread, Ricky got a little lost in his thoughts of what to get, did they just want regular sliced bread? Did they want English muffins? Rolls? Wheat? White? He wasnt paying attention when he felt someone bump into him and his immediate reaction was to apologize. "Sor-oh hey!"
closed starter for @enriquemarrero location: the grocery story
Having an early day, Lexi decided to stop by the store and pick a few things that she was out of at the house. She had a list on her phone and after parking the car, she went inside and started going down the aisles with her cart. As she turned to go down the bread aisle, she saw a familiar face and walked up to him, giving him a nudge with her cart. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there." She teased a little bit at Ricky.
