Poison loves holding hands with Cherri

their most frequent spot is this one bar-slash-restaurant in Zone 2 where they are regulars at this point. the waiters are almost always expecting them and have a table on the ready

Their favorite spot, however, is this large rock on the border of Zones 5 and 6. It's a great spot to watch the sunset, not a lot of Dracs or people come there and it's well shielded. Cherri discovered it by accident, and not even his closest friends know it exists.

He took Party there on their first official date because he was desperate and didn't know what they'd like. Party, of course, didn't care where they went, as long as they were together (their words)

long drives to nowhere is their favorite couple activity. Party is usually always the one who drives, since Cherri can't help but stare at them the whole time. he once nearly ran over some killjoy because he was too busy staring at them in the passenger seat

Party steals his clothes. A lot. More than once, they have stumbled into the diner in the dead of night with one of Cherri's shirts. They argue that it's because it's comfortable, but the real reason is because it smells like him

the reason is bcoz they just dont wanna put a more complicated label to them other than 'a poet and a killjoy who really like each other'. 'lovers' doesnt cut it, and neither does 'drifters'.

one that they did like was christened by the girl- engaged to be engaged. they thought it was cute, so sometimes, if theyre not snappy enough, they'll say they're 'pre-fiances'

they didnt tell anyone they were a thing, just waited til people figured it out. Pony was the last to find out- Kobra was the first.

they often go on double dates with Newsie and Chimp, but Chimp and Party just end up talking the whole time, so its just Cherri and Newsie staring at each other and eating the whole time

when Party died, Cherri disappeared for a full month. No one except Cherri knows where he was, and no matter what, he absolutely never told anyone.

Cherri's the only person other than Kobra Party will allow to lace them up.

It's a good thing too, because Cherri loves playing with Party's hair

Even after they start dating, Party calls him Pepsi, mainly because they know it annoys him. Cherri tried to clap back with a stupid nickname of his own, but it backfired horribly and Party ended up loving it

the only time Cherri ever cried in his entire life was when Pony told him that Party's mask was missing and couldn't be put in the mailbox.

They often break into his house at midnight with no explanation. Cherri's gotten used to it at this point

if you listen closely, you can hear them giggling in the background when Cherri does his poetry section. If it's ever too loud, the Fab Four or the WKIL crew will record it

these recordings are the most precious thing in Cherri's life after losing them- it's pretty much all he has left to keep him from forgetting Poison's voice. Pony once accidentally broke one, and ever since then, ae's been banned from his house

Jet, without fail, gives them an anniversary present every year, and so does Dr. D. It's how they find out it's their anniversary, since they don't bother keeping track of that stuff

it doesn't help that they both give it on different days, so they just start making up days until every alternate day is some reason to celebrate

The first time they said I love you, Cherri said it first while drunk, and Party said it back thinking he didn't mean it

they both pretended not to remember it the next day, even though they did

the second time they said I love you was when Party had to go into the city, and Cherri doesn't know if they heard him say it back under his breathe.

Cherri stole a wanted poster of Party from the hearts of Bat City that Newsie doodled hearts all over and wrote 'C+P 4ever' in one of the hearts. it hangs there well past anyone who knows what any of it means has died

they often exchange art pieces- Cherri with poems he wrote, and Poison with drawings they made

it's absolutely upsetting seeing people in the BG3 fandom say things like

"I can't believe that Asterion likes women, he's just gay"

"Shadowheart is 100% a lesbian"

statements like that in a game where all the companions are open about liking all genders is plain bi/panphobic! Whether the characters prefer one gender over the other, they're still bi/pan!!

If you're romancing Asterion, Gale, Wyll, etc as a man, it doesn't make them gay, similarly if you’re romancing Shadowheart, Karlach, Laezel, etc as a woman, it doesnt make them a lesbian.

You can relate to and express your own queer identity through bi/pan characters without changing their sexuality I promise 💕

Well you’re actually not only mentally ill but you’re also physically ill. You’re asexual and autistic? No you aren’t, you have a mental or hormonal problem that needs to be fixed. Why do I feel like you’re a gay man (saying this to me, a sapphic 😒)…

I don’t think dyke is a bad word. I say it all the time, as a queer woman. I think it’s a word that has a lot of history attached to it and has been used to cause a lot of queer women substantial trauma. And I think queer women reclaiming that slur is amazing and powerful and I love to see it.

But I’m not going to act like queer women who have trauma surrounding that word are somehow less progressive for not using it and not wanting it used around them. And I’m certainly not going to act like non-sapphics using it (even if they are in the lgbt community) is in any way progressive or evolved or ok whatsoever.

If you are not a queer woman (or femme-presenting nb person), you are not in the demographic that’s been victimised by this word. It’s not yours. It’s no less lesbophobic for gay men to use it than straight people.

Same goes for sapphics using slurs specific to gay men or cis people using transphobic slurs etc.

And like I said in the original post, it’s disheartening and disturbing that queer people (especially younger queer people who may not have as much direct history with these slurs) are getting so comfortable throwing around all of them with little discernment and being downright rude when they’re challenged on it.

Just because you’re under the lgbt umbrella doesn’t give you the right to cross boundaries of groups you’re not apart of & haven’t had to deal with the same struggles as. And if you send a bitchy anonymous message instead of just respecting what said groups are telling you (when it literally doesn’t cost you anything) then I’m assuming you don’t actually care about the “community” that much anyway.

i focus a lot on aro-ness because of how romance repulsed i am at this point and how centered fandom is on romantic relationships, but there is also something to be said about how acephobic fandoms can be. like shout out to neil aftg and jon tma for being on the ace spectrum and still having fans bend over backwards to try to ignore or explain away their aceness.

all it really leads to is me being incredibly paranoid every time i interact with an ace character (shout out to siffrin isat) because you never know if the person talking about the character’s romantic and/or sex life is aphobic or not until they tell on themselves one way or another

Read DC pride. My review of it of the stories I read was that it was predominantly mediocre though I did like the Ray writing and I liked the circuit breaker story as a whole but the only story that genuinely pissed me off was Al Ewing's Mikaal Tomas' story. People have already talked about the whole sexuality thing online but honestly what personally pisses me off more was A) no mention whatsoever of Mikaal's canon long term boyfriend Tony whose a black man in favour of comments of Mikaal fucking the white side character Al made up for the story and then everything to do with Komak and B) no mention either of Komak having had an STD at all and that being really necessary context for how Komak met Mikaal in the first place. Omitting both of these things is imo really fucking disrespectful / shitty to do and as someone who Really Loves Mikaal I'm disappointed that for the first major story he's had in Years this is what he was given. He deserved better

i read this manga where like the girly transported to her fav dating game and wanted to date the villainess (thats kinda the name of the manga and anime anyway HAHA) But yeah they DO get together which is cute ig but now theres no goal or anything. and then they put homosexuality at the same level of incestual relationships at the same 'level' and it just icked me out of the story for good. like. no???
