Who is HE
Ok. Ok, that's-. That's a tall man. Like really tall. You really can't be blamed for staring. You have never seen someone so tall and imposing. He was even taller than the 7ft tall General. Who up till this point was the tallest man you had ever laid eyes on. And the General was speaking softly to him. His brow pinched in what looked suspiciously like guilt and concern.
You can't hear what they are saying from across the room but you would pay good money to just be in earshot. You really want to know his name. He's so large and.... well, he looks really tired and resigned. Lost some family in the fight if you had to guess. But what a warrior. He fit every stereotype of the perfect Nordic warrior. And you really wanted to know his name.
The mead sits heavy in your gut as you stand and try to subtly work your way towards the two mighty warriors, never taking your eyes off the taller man. You pause briefly by a pillar just a yard away when the man looks up randomly and makes eye contact with you. You freeze, butterflies fill your stomach. As quickly as it happened it was over. Your heart sank as he looked back at the General to answer a question.
But you would not be detered. You needed to know this gaint of a man. Needed to know his story, hear his voice, feel his strength. You feel a faint flush at the piercing realization that you are attracted to this stranger if only slightly. Maybe this isn't such a good idea.
Oh well. You continue to slowly inch closer, all while keeping an eye on the pair. You swear it seemed like the General was imploring the larger man to- do what you could not guess. To little information to go on. But it seemed very important based on the General's overall demeanor. You got the impression the gaint man was unconvinced.
Finally you had positioned yourself just a few feet away and could just barely make out some snippets of the conversation. Something about an undeserving father, responsibility to the people, and a daughter in need of her father.
Well. That sounded way more interesting than anything you had initially imagined. But what was the man's name?! You leaned closer trying to hear better.
"-Thor, if you will not listen to me than at least listen to ThrĂșd. She is determined to make you proud. Children will often act out in their attempts to curry the favor of their absent parents. If you do not listen she will simply run headlong into danger trying to be something she is not. Trying to be you." The General said lowly, his toned laden with palpable concern. Urging Thor to understand.
Thor. THE mighty Thor. Never in your wildest dreams had you ever thought you would lay eyes on your favorite fairytale. Admittedly not your favorite god, but the stories your da told you as a little girl about the bringer of storms had inspired many crazy adventures into dangerous ruins filled with all manner of monsters and cruel men.
Alright, this just got ten times better. And crazier. You were feeling overwhelmed. What were you trying to get yourself into? You must be drunk and hadn't realized it. Why else would you be plotting to make a move on a married man who also happened to be one of your favorite gods? It was madness. What would your mother say?!
Before you could get too excited you spotted a truly beautiful woman approach the two warriors. Her hair long and neatly braided and her face slightly pinched while she eyed the tankard in Thor's hand. It could be none other than SĂŹf, wife of Thor, mother of ThrĂșd. And there go all your plans. You watched as she spoke pointedly to Thor gesturing to his cup of mead. Thor shook his head and offered her the tankard. This seemed to appease her somewhat, her expression relaxing. She turned to the General and spoke briefly, obviously excusing her husband as she grabbed his hand to gently tug him away. To his credit you heard the General softly call to Thor, " Consider what is best for your child. Listen to her. She knows what she wants more than any other."
Well, this was just disappointing. Now you felt guilty for eavesdropping and coveting a married man. Time to go to bed. As you quickly made your way out of the longhouse you kept muttering to yourself. You could hear your mother's disappointed tone in your head and your brother's teasing laughter at your poor luck.
So wrapped up in your head, you didn't notice the body standing just outside the longhouse until you ran straight into a solid back. You bounced off with a audible 'oof', and stumbled back a few steps holding your nose. It wasn't broken but having it squished so suddenly was unpleasant.
You muttered a annoyed apology and examined the wall of muscle you unwittingly assaulted. It was SĂŹf. Wonderful.
You started stammering out a louder apology while she turned around fully to assess you properly. In a bemused tone, she assured you that you have inflicted no harm whatsoever, it would take much more than that to hurt her. And that had you flushing slightly. You could feel, with some mild horror, the girl crush blooming on the spot. Damn your severe adoration for any woman strong enough to choke the life out of you. Now was certainly not the time for it to be rearing it's filthy head.
You started backing up, tripping over your feet, and babbling rapid fire about how you meant no offense. Who would want to offend such a beautiful goddess, the wife of Thor, the most desirable woman you had ever laid eyes on. Oh gods, you were going to sew your own mouth shut if she didn't kill you for such an embarrassing tirade.
But to your emmense awe and infinite relief, not only was she giggling towards the end you saw Thor chuckling behind her. He remarks that you have excellent taste while his wife just shakes her head in baffled amusement.
Thoroughly red in the face and still backing up, you try to excuse yourself. But Thor steps forward and offers his hand.
Oh lord, he's talking about bedroom 'fun' and saying how he and SĂŹf like to keep things interesting by inviting a third person to their bed every so often. Now you are standing there frozen with your jaw hanging open and your eyes wide in disbelief. They want you. In their bed. Together. Doing very naughty things.
You have to pinch yourself to make sure your not dreaming which gets another chuckle out of both of them. And Thor prompts you for an actual answer, wiggling his outstretched fingers in your direction. You really can't say yes fast enough as you run into their open embrace and giddily follow them back to their bed. Your pretty certain you won't be waking for breakfast tomorrow and you really hope you won't be walking after either.
Let the fun begin!

Gods of Disappointment: Pt 1: For a Better Future
Summary: (Through Thrudâs POV): The Thor family (besides Thor), escapes Asgard, and is in search for a new home. Thrud gets irritated from stress, Modi makes it worse for a moment, and uhhh yeah no thatâs it for rn I think.
A/N: Uhhhhhh no one can stop me no one can stop me from attempting to explore a potential dynamic between Thrud and her brothers if they were revived, absolutely nobody can stop me, dear god, I hope Iâm doing this right.
Thrud had woken up in a daze, barely conscious enough to even function normally.Â
With her eyes barely open, she felt the sudden touch of hands grabbing her arms and pulling her up. Thrud subconsciously moved her arms and waist, ready to fight, until she heard her motherâs voice.
Rushingly, her mother whispered,âThrud, wake up, itâs time, we have to leave now.â The girlâs eyes had fully opened upon hearing that statement.
The family had been planning for the last two years to escape from Asgard. Realizing how much the place badly influenced both Thrudâs father and brothers, Sif had been the one to speak her mind and tell Thor they needed to leave if they wanted a better future for Thrud. Thrud had opposed the idea at first, wanting to be a valkyrie, but quickly realized maybe it would be for the best if the family did leave. Although she still had a yearning for her grandfatherâs approval, she did want a chance for her family to truly become one again.Â
Thrud had immediately gotten off her bed, opened up her floorboards, and exposed a backpack full of belongings sheâd packed for whatever new home she might have.
When she turned to look at her mother, she noticed she was wearing a utility belt with her typical attire. Equipped to the belt were small bags of currency, first aid, and something else with a gentle wooden clang in it.
When Thrud was up and ready, so was her mother by the door, holding a lantern up.
Thrud and her mother ran out of the bedroom, past the halls, and out the building. Thrud felt a blast of the cold air on her face, and looked up at the night sky; noticing the dark clouds above. She could only think of her father and the possible outcomes of this.
Thrud and Sif ran past the dark training grounds, and to Gulltoppr- which everyone planned to steal from Heimdall with pleasure-. Holding saddle bags all over his sides, All were full of equipment and belongings of the family.
Magni and Modi were standing beside the cat, quietly bickering who should be in the front -almost getting physical like children- until both looked to Sif.Â
The two straightened up, Magni then mounted to the front, and Modi assisted his mother, then Thrud mount Gulltoppr. He then sat on the rear, holding onto the end of the set of armor the animal wore.
The air felt suffocating, everything was silent, and everyone looked in the direction of where Sif and Thrud had just left; all awaiting for the signal. The signal for safety that Odin would be distracted.
Thrudâs stomach churned, and her hold around her motherâs waist tightened, begging for some sort of relief.
BANG!
A snap so loud it echoed across the nine realms. A bright blue strike of thunder struck up into the sky and into the clouds.
âGo!â Sif yelled to Magni.
No time was wasted as Gulltoppr sprinted away from the direction of raging lightning and thunder. Off to the lift, away from Asgard, away from Odin, and to a future for the greater good.
â
âWait, stop here Magni.â Without a word, Magni obeyed his mother, stopping the animal by a large tree.
It had been nearly a whole day of non stop running. Very short breaks were involved, and Thrud was hoping it was time to truly rest from sitting for so long. The girl was about to hop off with her mother until she was stopped by Modiâs hand on her shoulder. She looked back at Modi, and he was nodding a ânoâ at her, noticeably silent. Thrud sighed in frustration, and sat back down.
Sif on the other hand, hopped off Gulltoppr, reaching for the bag - with a gentle wooden clang - still on her waist. She opened the bag and pulled something small out that Thrud couldnât see, for her motherâs back was now towards her.
Sif walked towards the tree, and subtly hid the object underneath one of the roots of so. She quickly got up, and mounted the back of Gulltoppr again.
âWe will rest soon, we just need to make sure weâre out of sight from the ravens.â
The animal continued walking, and Thrud turned her head behind and stared at where her mother hid the object.Â
Why couldnât we take a break here and then leave that thing there when we leave? What even is that thing anyway?
Thrud desperately wanted to ask her mother, but she knew she would only receive another âIâll explain later.â
Thrud was already anxious from what was now almost a day ago- having seen her fatherâs lighting viciously flail into the sky.- She knew that wasnât a good signal for him. In the end, all these questions and thoughts being unanswered made her stomach churn, and her fists clench.Â
She couldnât even make conversation to calm her nerves down. Any with her mother would have typically turned into an argument, and gods forbid her brothers be in the same room when a conversation occurred, theyâd both bicker and argue like two little girls over a doll. At least the little girls fought for something. Magni and Modi fought for the sake of fighting- and hardly ever did they fight with an actual goal in mind.
â
It wasnât like things were the same as they were four years ago though. Thrud was glad about that. Magni and Modiâs deaths meant nothing to anyone on Asgard besides what was left of the family. Sif was destroyed, Thor was pissed and mournful, and Thrud was left conflicted.Â
She was only about ten years old when the word reached Asgard. She loved her brothers, but the emotions were barely there. Her brothers were nice to her growing up, but at the same time, they were hardly ever home by the time she turned around seven. After that, a strong distance grew between Thrud and her brothers, and it was never the same. Even after the two were revived some time after their deathsâŠ
Thanks to Sif and her constant bartering with Odin, she convinced him to bring them back to life with some of the old magic he had known of. The spell however âdue to not having any Vanir gods left in Asgardâ was not the highest of quality. Magni and Modi were brought back yes, but their minds and bodies were⊠damaged, for a brief period of time. They were barely breathing, and for weeks, comatosed. They would awake, but have little memory of anything. Magni and Modi had to re-learn their names, family, how to read and walk again. Their minds and bodies did recover over time, but for that entire winter passing, Sif and Thrud were the only ones helping the two recover.
Sif drowned herself in guilt, having known she was partly the cause for this, and Thor seemed to have begun reflecting. He was mostly silent for the duration, but he had begun to stop drinking so much.Â
Thrud was glad to have her brothers back, and with how her parents were at the time, she really thought things would change for the better after everything. She was very wrong.
â
Thrud felt the sudden cold of a hand on her shoulder. Having startled her from her sleep, it was enough to make her twist and throw a punch directly onto Modiâs nose, throwing him off Gulltoppr.
His back landed on the snowy ground, nose clutched in his hand, and angrily yelled,âUuuurgg, dammit Thrud!â
âWhat, you scared me!â Thrudâs irritation from before had quickly crept back again. She jumped off Gulltoppr and ran to Modi to check on him. âDon't forget who made me learn that anyway! Your and Magniâs pranks are your dumbest ideas next to trying to killââ Thrud paused. Modi still on the ground, gave her the âgo ahead, say itâ look. She forgot she shouldnât have brought that up to Magni or Modi. Not anymore. âUrrrrgh! You guys are so annoying!â Thrud remarked through gritted teeth. She grabbed Modiâs arm, leaned back, and picked him off the ground.
With his hand covering his nose, Modi replied, âUugh, for the millionth time, we were joking!â He looked at his hand to see blood dripping off. A small âeughâ came from his mouth as he flicked some off.
âYeah,â From her side, she pulled a cloth out of a pouch to give to modi. âTell the little girl aspiring to be a valkyrie that they were all so prepared to fight,â she then handed him the cloth, to which he gestured his hand, refusing. ââtheyâd wake up throwing punches.ââ Thrud quoted.
Modi turned away from Thrud almost giggling, and blew blood out from one nostril, then the other. Through a slight smile, Modi responded, âYou gotta admit, that was pretty funny.â He motioned for the cloth with his hand.Â
Thrud handed the cloth, âNot when you wake up almost punching your fucking mom, asshole.â She was about to throw a punch at Modiâs stomach until she heard her mother.
âThrud! Language!â Sifâs eyes narrowed, and her eyebrows furrowed. A very audible and exhausted sigh flew from her breath. Bringing Gulltoppr to a cave, she continued, âAnd put on a coat. In case you havenât noticed, we finally arrived in Midgard.â
Thrud hadnât even noticed the cold when she woke up, and when she did begin to feel it, from the corner of her eye was Modi handing his coat to her. Annoyed, Thrud snatched the coat from his hand, letting out a small âthanksâ as she put it on.Â
With the cloth still over his nose, Modi walked off to Gulltoppr to grab a new coat from his bag.
Magniâs back was already facing everyone as he was walking off into the deeper parts of the Midgaurdian woods, wrapping bandages on his fists;
And Sif was unpacking a couple things to camp for the night.
Thrud was clueless for a few moments. In an attempt to calm her annoyance down, she breathed the cold air in and sighed out. She observed her surroundings. The air was windy yet silent. It was clear fimbulwinter was upon Midgard still. Very little wildlife was out and about, only barely surviving trees and oversized rocks for miles. Sometimes, an occasional overgrown vine would be sat on a rock. Midguard looked almost like some kind of barren wasteland. Not the best first impression for Thrudâs first time there, but it would do.
Last second A/N: uh if you made it to the bottom, jsyk, Iâm probably going to be switching povs pretty often so donât expect just Thrudâs pov in the next chapter lol
Also school is killing me so Iâm choosing to upload this now instead of a month bc UUURRRAAAUUUUGH
Thanks for reading >:D, Iâll make sure to make a master list once my second chapter is out đ
