Komanami Week Day 2: First Kiss/Gaming Together
Summary | Nagito and Chiaki are hanging out and playing video games (Mario Party) at Hajime's place. With Chiaki's skills and Nagito's luck, things are getting pretty neck and neck. Well, what methods do they take to try to win when Hajime leaves the room?
â„ Pairing | Nagito Komaeda x Chiaki Nanami (Ft. Hajime Hinata, SHSL Third Wheel)
â Warnings | My awful attempt at a kissing scene because I'm very inexperienced with writing them (Don't worry, nothing too spicy)
â
Word Count | 3,643 words
@c0rrupted-mov
*I'm combining the two prompts for day two. Fair warning for the next entries for Komanami week, they're probably going to be either late or a little messy. School is more despairful than even Junko is, and homework may keep me from writing these entries. Regardless, I hope they're still decent! Again, sorry if there are any errors or if anyone is out of character! Also, sorry if this is a little cringy. Now, grab some snacks, and I hope you enjoy!*
"AH!" Nagito gasped when the screen displayed him being in second place. "Amazing, Nanami! Even though I won the last minigame, you're still in first place. Truly expected of a talented gamer like you!"
Chiaki let out a sigh of relief. "That was close. I was worried that you were about to overtake me. Your luck really makes things hard."
"Now you get why I decided to stop playing?" Hajime asked as he sat at a table nearby, looking up from his homework. "I would've been in last place for hours. Plus, Komaeda's luck would have definitely gotten me to strangle him."
"Aw, really?" Nagito smiled. "Now I really wish you kept playing then."
"Implying...?" Hajime turned around to face Nagito, his his face holding a slightly concerned expression.
Nagito shrugged. "Ah, don't immediately assume the worst, Hinata. I was thinking that it would funny to see you acting like a sore loser."
"I'M SORRY, WHAT PART OF ANYTHING I SAID IMPLIED THAT I WAS A SORE LOSER?!"
"The fact that you said that my luck would've gotten you to strangle me," Nagito answered with a gentle smile, like it was obvious. "Surely, someone who isn't a sore loser wouldn't be so angry about losing just because of my luck. So, this clearly shows that you're a sore loser."
That little explanation of his earned him a pillow thrown at his smiling face. "Fuck off, Komaeda," Hajime snapped. "I meant that your lucky ass is annoying as hell to deal with."
Nagito removed the pillow to reveal him trying-and failing- to fight the grin that was creeping onto his face. Small snorts of laughter could be heard as he tried to keep his expression neutral. Hajime crossed his arms.
"Oh, ha ha! You're really funny. You could be a comedian considering how big of a clown you are!"
"I-I'm just-pfft-teasing, Hinata," Nagito let out, still failing at fighting off his laughter.
"Leave him alone, Komaeda," Chiaki said, turning away from the game for a moment to give her boyfriend a scolding look. "If Hinata doesn't want to play, he doesn't have to. Stop teasing him."
Nagito let out another snort of laughter before raising his hands up in defeat. "Alright, alright! I'll leave him alone. I'm sorry, Hinata."
Hajime smiled. "Thank you. Nanami, you're really my lifesaver."
Chiaki turned to him with a blank expression. "I stopped him because I didn't want him to get distracted from the game."
Hajime's jaw dropped. "SERIOUSLY?! Komaeda, stop laughing!"
Nagito was practically laughing his ass off as he wrapped an arm around Chiaki. "Oh my god...Nanami!"
Chiaki nuzzled her head against his shoulder. "What? This game is becoming extremely interesting right now. It's a battle between skill and luck! I need you to be focused so it could be fair for the winner." There was an unusual fire burning behind her blossom eyes as she stared at the screen. Nagito had dealt with this look before since she mainly got this when she's really invested in a video game.
"Oh come on, Nanami! Don't be ridiculous. There's no way that someone as lowly as me could even have a chance to defeat an amazing gamer like you. Besides, you're basically asking me to try and crush your hope. There's no way I would even dream of doing that."
"Don't talk like that," Chiaki said. "I wouldn't be upset if you win, Komaeda. I'm just having fun playing with you. But..."
She turned away from the screen to give him a rare glare. "You'll be crushing my hope by not even trying to win. So, please be quiet and continue playing with me."
"Yes, ma'am!" He quickly replied. This time it was Hajime's turn to stifle his laughter as Nagito immediately turned his attention back to the screen.
He rolled his dice block and moved 10 steps forward...and landed on a dash forward space that made him move another five steps forward and skip a lot of dangerous spaces. Chiaki gritted her teeth as an NPC went next. As much as she loved her boyfriend, she did have to somewhat agree with Hajime. Nagito's luck can be a major factor of who wins in a video game, especially in Mario Party. It really keeps her on her toes, which is actually refreshing.
After a while, Hajime got up and walked towards the kitchen. "Hey, I'm going to go to the bathroom and get us some snacks. My brain hurts from those stupid equations."
"Take your time," Chiaki said before Hajime left. Her eyes didn't shift away from the screen as she rolled her dice block and moved 3 spaces, landing on a VS space. "Another minigame. And it's a 4-player minigame as well. Guess I'm up against your luck again."
Nagito smiled, resting his chin on top of her shoulder. "I'm sure you'll win this one, too."
"Hey, I thought you were going to try to beat me," Chiaki complained. "I want you to have fun instead of letting me win."
He smiled. "Who says I'm not having fun? I enjoy myself whenever we play together, regardless if I'm winning or losing. As long as I'm in your presence, then I'm having a good time."
Chiaki smiled and gave Nagito a peck on the cheek. "Thanks...but seriously, don't make this easy for me. This is probably one of the most challenging games that I've played, and I'm determined to win fairly, with you giving it your all as well!"
He chuckled. It really was rare to see Chiaki get so fired up like this. She was usually so calm and passive. Then again, he supposed that it was expected for a pro gamer like her to act differently when it comes to a heated and passionate game. Honestly, he wasn't complaining. He liked seeing this side of her.
"Alright, I'll do my best for you, Nanami," Nagito said before smiling awkwardly. "Honestly, it's weird to even imagine someone like me to get competitive with you, but, just for now, I'll try not to think about it too much."
His smile then shifted to a smirk. "However, don't get too upset when my luck proves to be superior."
"It's on!" Chiaki's eyes had narrowed slightly as she returned his smug expression with a smile. She pressed the A button on her Joy-Con to get the randomizer to pick the minigame. When it stopped, it landed on a minigame that basically needed them to take turns petting a giant sleeping caterpillar until it wakes up and the player who woke it up loses.
An arrow moved rapidly in between each of the four characters and landed on the second NPC. The screen moved to the caterpillar and the NPC began to rapidly pet it several times before the 5-second timer ran out and it was Chiaki's turn. She waved her Joy-Con gently in the air, carefully watching the caterpillar for any sign of it waking up.
"You're being really careful about this, Nanami," Nagito smiled. "And you're earning a lot of points as well! Amazing!"
Chiaki's turn ended and she sighed in relief as Nagito went next. He wasn't nearly as careful as she was when swinging the Joy-Con around to pet the caterpillar. Despite that, however, it didn't wake up. In fact, it didn't even open an eye or jerk its head.
"Good job," Chiaki said. "It didn't even show any signs of waking up."
Nagito chuckled. "Honestly, it was just my luck."
The two NPCs went up next and earned some more points. Chiaki noticed how the caterpillar was beginning to open an eye more often. She also took note of how it jerked its head away during the second NPC's turn, a small vein popping on its head as it did so.
'It's going to wake up soon,' she realized as she held out her Joy-Con, ready for her turn.
Meanwhile, beside her, Nagito was also noticing the signs of the minigame being over soon. He took a look at the amount of points each player had gotten. Chiaki had six points while he had five. Looks like there was a good chance of her winning this minigame.
'That's great!' Nagito thought. 'She's going to win. As expected from her.'
But...then he thought back to what Chiaki had said earlier.
"I don't want you to take it easy on me..."
He glanced over at Chiaki, who was now waving her controller carefully, taking extra caution when noticing the violent way the caterpillar jerked its head. Her face was scrunched up slightly as she bit her lip, concentrating on the minigame. Nagito felt his heart fluttering as he took in the sight. Then...a mischievous smirk crossed his face as he thought of something. She did want him to win, right? So...what if he made things a little interesting...?
Chiaki waved her controller once more. 'That's enough. It's extremely close to waking up, so I should stop petting it-'
Suddenly, she felt arms wrap around her waist and pull her to the left. She yelped, waving the controller in surprise as she felt Nagito kiss her cheek. She glanced up at the screen to see that the game had taken her waving the controller as a command to pet the caterpillar again. Her heartbeat felt like it almost stopped for a second. But, thankfully, all that happened was the caterpillar opened one of its eyes.
She sighed in relief before turning towards Nagito, who was looking away from her with an innocent expression. "Komaeda, why did you do that?"
"You said for me to not make it easy for you," he shrugged.
"Not like that," she sighed while crossing her arms.
"Oh well, it's not like my plan succeeded anyways," he responded nonchalantly, a smug grin on his face. Chiaki frowned. He really did try to sabotage her by distracting her with a kiss. And he wasn't even feeling guilty about it as he gave her a charming self-satisfied grin. He's lucky that he's pretty.
Chiaki took a deep breath and allowed for a calm smile to cross his face. He wants to play that game, huh? Fine. He just has to know that she plays any game. And wins.
Nagito waved his Joy-Con to pet the caterpillar. This time, however, he was far more careful, keeping a watchful eye on any agitated sign that it made. Chiaki watched patiently as Nagito got three pets in before going through with her little revenge. Just as he was moving his controller back down, she grabbed his face and pulled him towards her. Nagito waved his controller violently in surprise as she quickly brushed her lips against his.
His eyes were as wide as plates when Chiaki let him go with a small smile on his face. What...was that? Did she...just kiss him? Nagito couldn't believe it. Sure, it wasn't really that much of a kiss more so than her just barely touching his lips, but still. They had never kissed on the lips before. They only shared cheek kisses, or hand kisses, or head kisses. Never on the lips. Nagito couldn't even wrap his head around why Chiaki would want to even place her gentle lips on his. His heart was pounding in his chest...
"I won," she said in a soft voice.
"Huh?" Nagito was snapped out of his thoughts as she pointed at the screen. He turned to see his character being chased by the now awakened, and very angry, caterpillar. Chiaki's character was cheering as it was announced as the winner.
âWhat?â Nagito whipped his head back towards her. âWhat just happened? Did youâŠseriously?â
She giggled, and Nagito could hear a playful note in her tone. âYep. You decided to try to sabotage me with a kiss, so I decided to try to do it to you. How does it feel to lose at your own game, Komaeda?â
Nagitoâs jaw dropped. âChiaki NanamiâŠyou really succeeded in making me lose by using my own trick. I canât believe itâŠâ
She stuck her tongue out. âWell, you decided to pull that trick with me, but I guess I got lucky and didnât lose the minigame. So, you canât really complain about me doing it to you, or else, youâll be a hypocrite.â
Nagito chuckled. âOh, Iâm not planning on complaining. I know what I did deserved some kind of karma thrown back at me, but I just didnât expect you to really kiss me backâŠâ He looked down at the cushions of the sofa and touched his lips with his fingers. âAnd I lost because of itâŠâ
This let out another small laugh from Chiaki as she hugged him. "I'm sorry. I just wanted to one-up you in your own game and get a little revenge. Although...I'm a little surprised. I was expecting your luck to keep you from losing."
Nagito was silent for a moment, staring at the couch with a small frown. Seconds passed and he still didn't respond to her, instead just touching his lips. Was he thinking about something?
"Komaeda...?" She called. "Are you okay?"
As soon as she called his name, Nagito looked up and smiled. "Oh! Forgive me, Nanami! I was just thinking about something. It was about my luck...you remember how it works, right?"
Chiaki nodded. âYou said every time something bad happened to you, something good would happen in response to that. Itâs kinda like a trade of sorts."
âExactly! Wasnât expecting you to remember that. SoâŠto answer why I lost despite my luck, I think it was because, for once, the opposite happened."
Chiaki tilted her head slightly. "What do you mean by that?"
Nagito turned towards her and hummed slightly, but didn't respond. Chiaki could practically see the gears turning in his head as he debated on whether or not to tell her. However, he just shook his head. "Never mind that. Let's continue playing, shall we?"
He reached for his Joy-Con, but Chiaki quickly grabbed his wrist. He turned towards her, raising his eyebrow slightly. "What are you doing, Nanami? Don't you want to keep playing?"
âYouâre saying that because you got good luck, you had bad luck in order to balance it out, right?â Chiaki clarified, ignoring his question. âThat's what the opposite of your luck means. So, are you saying that me kissing you was the good luck and you losing was the bad luck?â
Nagito was silent for a moment before laughing. âWow. I shouldâve expected you to immediately understand, Nanami. I guess there was no point in me attempting to hide it.â
âButâŠwhy didnât you want to tell me?â she continued to question. âThere isnât any harm in me knowing, so it doesnât make sense.â
âUhâŠâ Nagito tried to form a response, but Chiaki quickly interrupted him.
âIs it because you want me to kiss you again?â she asked him. âAnd you didnât want me to know that because you felt like you were going to bother me with one of your âselfish desires?ââ She made finger quotations.
'How did she immediately understand it?!' Nagito tried to keep his expression neutral, but his mind was screaming right now. He opened his mouth to respond, but, instead of saying anything, he quickly shut it and looked away. His pale cheeks were tinted with a rosy pink.
"So, I'm right," Chiaki nodded, understanding what his silence meant. "It's fine if you want me to, Komaeda. That kiss I gave you wasn't really so much of a kiss, so I want to have my proper first kiss with you and be able to enjoy it. So, if you want..."
Nagito continued to remain silent, but now, his heart was pounding as he considered her offer. He looked back to see her waiting for an answer, leaning slightly closer with a small smile.
âI-I couldnât ask you to grant my selfish desires, Nanami. I donât deserve that kind of happiness that you being my first kiss would bring, especially after what I pulled-â
"You do deserve it," Chiaki immediately said, brushing his hair out of his face. "Unless, you don't want me to kiss you?"
âIâŠwell, of course I do, but-â
"Then, there's no problem," she said, leaning even closer to his face. Nagito froze up as there was hardly any distance between them left. Her face was inches away from his, and he couldn't believe that she would even want to kiss his disgusting lips. He could feel his heart beating faster and his palms sweating as a battle went on in his head; one side telling him to give in to the temptation and the other telling him that he didn't even deserve to be touching her. He took another look at Chiaki's face, her eyes fluttering shut as she anticipated for him to close the distance between them. He gulped.
And just went for it.
Or tried to. He closed his eyes and tried to remove the distance between them, but felt himself completely missing Chiaki's lips. His nose collided with hers and he felt a throbbing pain form there.
"Ow!" He groaned, holding his nose. How the hell were people able to kiss perfectly with their eyes closed?! Chiaki burst out laughing at Nagitoâs failed attempt and cupped his face with her hands.Â
"Forgive me, Nanami," he apologized. "I've...never done this before."
She shrugged. "Neither have I. But...I think you're supposed to aim for the lips." With that teasing sentence being the last spoken, she closed her eyes and held his face still as she finally closed the distance between them. Nagito felt her lips perfectly pressing against his, hitting their target. He took a sharp breath in as he felt the softness of her lips envelope his in a loving embrace.
He froze for a moment, unsure of what to do. His hands stayed firmly to his side, not knowing where to go or what was okay to touch. All he could do was relish the soft warmness of her lips against his cold, chapped ones. Chiaki, meanwhile, clumsily wrapped her arms around his neck, tangling her fingers through his messy, long white hair. He felt sparks flow down from his neck through his entire body, exciting him and thawing through his hesitation. He could practically hear her heartbeat matching his, and it was more hopeful than anything his luck had ever given him. There was a feeling of comfort and affection being poured into the kiss, and it made Nagito intoxicated on that feeling. Why was he preventing himself from this warmth and love? He knows that he didnât deserve it, but it still felt so good to have it spread towards him from this kind-hearted gamer.
And he wanted more. He was ready to snake his hands around Chiaki and pull her even closer to him, drunk on the feelings that she was giving him.
âHey, guys, sorry it took me a while, but-WHAT THE HECK?!â
Nagito and Chiaki quickly separated and turned to see Hajime standing at the edge of the hallway, staring right at them with his jaw dropping. Nagito felt his face heat up an uncomfortably burning red. When did Hajime get in the house?! Was he always here?! Wait, whoâs place was this again?
âWell, this is awkward,â Chiaki said blankly, but she felt like an idiot for completely forgetting about the chances of Hajime walking in while they were kissing. She supposed it was because she was so caught up in the moment that she wasnât thinking clearly. Her cheeks turned red as she looked down at the cushions of the couch. Could she kick herself right now?
Hajime shook his head, rubbing his temple. "Okay, what the fuck did I just walk in on? I know that you two are a couple, and I'm happy about that. But, did you forget that we're hanging out and this is my place? Honestly, the moment I leave the room, you two seriously are making out on my couch-"
âActually, we werenât making out,â Chiaki corrected. âWe didnât even use tongue-â
âONE! I DONâT NEED TO KNOW THE DETAILS, NANAMI! TWO! HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW WHAT EXACTLY MAKING OUT IS-YOU KNOW WHAT, NEVER MIND, NOT IMPORTANT!â
Hajimeâs face was red as he shook his head violently. "Could you two PLEASE save this crap for when you're not hanging out with me at my place-or with anyone at anyone's place? Seriously, it's really awkward to walk in on you guys."
Nagito grinned slightly. âWell, itâs not our fault that you took forever, Hinata. What were you even taking so long for anyways?â
âWell, Iâm sorry that Soda called me, but donât change the subject! I know that youâre trying to hide your embarrassment from being caught by taking the opportunity to tease me. Listen, Iâm not mad, but I would appreciate it if you didnât do this kind of shit when weâre hanging out together.â
âWhy? Are you upset that youâre the third wheel, Hinata? You donât have someone to do this stuff with, so youâre taking out your jealousy towards me and Nanami,â Nagito teased.
Hajime rolled his eyes and threw a bag of chips at Nagito. âAt least, I donât have to worry about being caught, Komaeda! Thatâs an advantage of being a third-wheel. WAIT, I DON'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT! IâM NOT A THIRD WHEEL!â
Nagito burst out laughing as the chip bag hit the sofa cushion next to him. âYou just admitted it!â
Chiaki giggled as well. "Hinata, are you or are you not a third-wheel? Which is it?"
âShut up! And stop laughing! You know what, give me a Joy-Con when youâre done with this party. Iâm going to kick both of your asses for this.â
âGood luck,â Chiaki giggled. Hajime glared at his two friends for another moment before his face softened into a slight smile. He tossed the other snacks towards them. For the rest of the day, the three continued to play video games and have fun, with some light teasing being thrown here and there.
As she was playing however, Chiaki thought back to the kiss that she and Nagito shared earlier. She giggled, her cheeks turning pink as she thought about how amazing it was and remembering the butterflies in her stomach as they kissed. Despite the awkwardness that came afterwards...she could safely say that her first kiss was perfect.

I adore your talentswap backstories! I'd like you to write some headcanons for my Talentshift SDR2 au. It consists of Mechanic!Hajime, ReserveCourse!Mahiru, Photographer!Ibuki, Musician!Fuyuhiko, Yakuza!Gundham, Breeder!Chiaki, Gamer!Mikan, Nurse!Nagito, Lucky!Imposter, Imposter!Peko (impersonating non-despair Junko), Swordswoman!Sonia, Prince!Nekomaru, Coach!Teruteru, Chef!Hiyoko, TraditionalDancer!Akane, and Gymnast!Kazuichi. If not, I completely understand.
Hey anon! Iâm glad you enjoyed them! ^_^ And Iâd be happy to make some headcanons for your AU. But just to let you know anon, I would appreciate it if you asked me first before sending me your listed requests. I honestly donât mind writing headcanons for talentswaps (I honestly enjoy doing that) but I would appreciate you asking me and then sending them to me. That way it doesnât take me by surprise.Â
So without further ado, here are my headcanons for your SDR2 Talentswap AU.
Peko Pekoyama as the SHSL Imposter
While Peko was adopted by the Kuzuryu Clan, she didnât have a choice in her lifelong profession like Fuyuhiko did.
She was made to work as an infiltration agent.
As a professional imposter, Peko learned how to analyze and copy the body movements and behaviors of any potential person.Â
She also was taught how to apply makeup to make her disguises as accurate as possible.
Her assignments involved abducting low level workers of rival clans and taking their place while disguised as them.
Sheâd then relay the rival clanâs weaknesses and business transactions towards the Kuzuryuâs so they can exploit them.
Peko was discouraged from having any personal interests or hobbies so that her infiltration and identity theft skills wouldnât be tarnished.
This made Peko feel more like a tool and how she only existed to promote the success of the Kuzuryu Clan.Â
When Fuyuhiko was scouted to go to Hopeâs Peak, her superiors used their connections to grant Peko a spot with him to keep an eye on him.
She would take on Junko Enoshimaâs image given that the supermodel was busy with her own personal affairs.
Although no one can recognize her while disguised, the viewer/player can recognize Peko with her thick glasses and piercing red eyes.
Hiyoko Saionji as the SHSL Chef
Hiyoko came from a family of culinary masters who amazed Japan with their creative and flavorful dishes.
There was unfortunately alot of drama within the family as they each wanted to train Hiyoko so they can pass their personal culinary training onto her.
Her grandmother managed to win and was one of the most ruthless teachers ever.Â
Under her training, Hiyoko received burns, cuts and having her food thrown in her face just for making the smallest of slip ups.
Her brutal training mixed with having negative relations with her family made her bitter and aggressive towards everyone around her.
She also has a hard time trusting others to work with her in the kitchen due to multiple incidents where dishes were poisoned and nearly tarnished Hiyokoâs reputation.
Because of this, she prefers to work alone in the kitchen. When sheâs assigned to work with partners or underlings, she can be best described as Gordon Ramsay if he were a sassy lost child.
She often holds a knife or a frying pan whenever sheâs threatening someone she doesnât like.
Her culinary specialties involve desserts such as wasabon and kompeito.
Ibuki Mioda as the SHSL Photographer
Throughout her childhood, Ibuki was neglected by her caregivers so she took up photography as a means of distracting herself from the loneliness of her household.
She managed to earn her success by taking high quality photos of lovers in romantic situations.
At her middle school, she made it a game for herself to see how many pictures she could get of different couples at her school without getting caught.
While developing her photos, the couples tried to chastise Ibuki for her actions but they immediately changed their minds when they saw how cool the photos looked.
Ibuki gained a reputation among her peers for her photos and now everyone wanted one too.
This resulted in Ibuki getting alot of âfriendsâ who only wanted to hang out with her just so she could photograph them doing what they wanted while conveniently leaving out the photographer herself.
The fact that these people only cared about her talent so she can capture their memories for them gave Ibuki a sense of familiar loneliness.
Despite this, she wants to enjoy her talent as much as she can with an upbeat attitude.
Ibukiâs favorite subject to photograph are people.
She loves to people watch since the people walking around come in different shapes and sizes and are always doing something unique that you wouldnât expect.
Sonia Nevermind as the SHSL Swordswoman
Sonia came from a family of professional swordfighters who taught her the power of the blade at an early age.
She grew up on European fairy tales and legends of powerful heroes who used their swords to fight for justice or prove their superiority against enemies who opposed them.
Her family taught her classical fencing, mordhau, the half-sword, destreza and several other fighting styles which she claims are a secret.
She earned her title after winning multiple swordfighting tournaments, many of which were held underground.Â
Despite her victories, sheâs actually been hospitalized due to the extreme injuries she received from sword wounds and physical attacks from her opponents.
Since these wounds have yet to diminish her fighting power, Sonia feels that itâs best to pay them no mind so she can continue her familyâs legacy.
Sheâs never seen without her longsword which she made herself. She calls it Stjerneild because there were shooting stars on the night of making it and also since she burned herself during the process.
Sonia isnât afraid to boast about her fighting skills and eagerly offers her girl friends the chance to learn how to use a sword.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu as the SHSL Light Music Club Member
Rather than becoming the next heir of his family business, Fuyuhiko wanted to pursue his dream of being an idol.
He takes his career extremely seriously and wouldnât do stupid stunts or scandals that could jeopardize his work.
To make up for his young appearance, Fuyuhiko uses outfits that have a punk aesthetic while also incorporating black and gold color schemes to make him look older.
Alot of his songs feature themes of embracing your personal talents or how itâs better to carve your own path rather than rely on others.
He knows how to play the electric guitar and the keyboard.Â
Having refused his parentsâ intended career plans, he feels that he canât screw up his career or else everything he ever worked for will be for nothing and heâd have to crawl back to them for support.
His sister Natsumi often joins him during his tours and unofficially becomes his manager and bodyguard during her visits.Â
He has a hard time dealing with fanclub meetings because the fangirls would make jokes about his baby face which would drive him insane.
Akane Owari as the SHSL Traditional Dancer
Just like in canon, Akane had to take care of her younger siblings while struggling to survive her poor hometown.
While she did take different jobs to support her family, she would lose those jobs constantly because she kept getting into fights against strangers who tried to grope and harass her.
One day, while she was training by herself in an empty plaza, a woman passed by and paid close attention to her fighting form and rhythm.
She revealed herself to Akane as a traditional dance instructor and offered to train Akane to perfect her skills.
The girl wasnât interested in doing something fancy like dancing but she changed her mind when she realized that her dancing could be used to raise money for her family. To which, she accepted.
While the instructor taught Akane the fundamentals of mai and odori techniques, the girl performed better when she used her own skills.
While frustrated, the instructor decided to rework her teaching style so Akaneâs performances would be passable while also integrating her own skills.
She ended up winning multiple competitions and performances and used the prize money to move her family into a bigger and better house.
Although her reputation as an âeasy waitressâ would often rear its ugly head and would make Akane become agitated.
Her dancing moves incorporate alot of her old fighting techniques.
She wears a cherry red kimono with a yellow dragon etched on the side as a design.
At the end of each performance, she can be found at the snacks table eating just about everything.
Nagito Komaeda as the SHSL Nurse
Nagito lost his family when he was just a child.
Having pity on the boy, along with finding traces of frontotemporal dementia, the head doctor of the hospital he resided in decided to adopt the boy as his own.
Nagito became the doctorâs apprentice and learned of the different techniques that came with working in the medical field.Â
The doctor taught him which drugs/medicines were used for what along with how to use the surgical tools properly.
He personally saw different medical cases each more mesmerizing than the last.Â
He became fixated on the concept of death and how it was an integral part of life.
When he became old enough, he started to work as a nurse and partake in the same surgeries he saw as a child.
While he certainly participated in a number of cases that saved the lives of his patients, he also had a number of cases that resulted in death.
He personally requested to handle the patients that were unable to be saved so he can spend their final moments with them and capture the memory of their deaths.
Thereâs been word from the medical staff that he tries to comfort the dying patient and their family with speeches on how they shouldnât be afraid of death and how the patient will move on to greater things in the next life and how the families will become stronger afterwards.
This has earned him the nickname âAngel of Deathâ.Â
He wears mint green scrubs and carries a portable bag withhis own medical equipment.
Teruteru Hanamura as the SHSL Coach
Despite his physique, Teruteru has amazing stamina and is capable of lifting heavy objects that ordinary people would have trouble lifting on their own.
Teruteru can analyze a personâs physical stature and determine which exercise or physical activity best suits them.
He always offers massage therapy proclaiming that itâs the best way to strengthen the body and relax the mind.
There are multiple cases where the players heâs worked with have accused him of sexual harassment or groping their bodies.Â
He has a complicated relationship with his family.
The younger siblings antagonize him for pursuing a career that isnât related to their familyâs restaurant business while putting more hardships on their mother.
His mom on the other hand, is more accepting of his career and asks that he focus more on what he enjoys doing in life.
Teruteruâs massages originally stemmed from how he would give massages to his mama to help alleviate her of her body aches.
He wears a dark red track suit and gold chain. Mixed with his combed over hair, it makes him look like a sleazy gangster.
Chiaki Nanami as the SHSL Animal Breeder
As the daughter of a rich family that hardly had time for her, Chiakiâs parents bought her a variety of animals to keep her company.
She found comfort with them but was heartbroken when she noticed that they became saddened and died.
She became motivated to learn from them so they could stay alive for long as possible.
Chiaki began studying different types of animals and what behaviors are ideal and which are concerning.
After school, she would venture to local animal shelters and veterinarians and offer to volunteer so she can work with different animals and examine first hand their behaviors.
She earned recognition by forming connections with the animals in her care and teaching them commands.
While she prefers the company of animals to humans, she will make an effort to help her human clients have a better relationship with their pets.
She can often be found napping alongside any of her animal friends.
Sagishi as the SHSL Lucky Student
Saigishi grew up in an orphanage having been abandoned by their family before they can remember.
They noticed that they had an unusual luck themed streak when it came to playing with the other kids.
If they were playing soccer, they would accidentally kick the ball into the window which surprisingly knocked out a janitor that was about to assault one of the orphanage workers.
If they tried to pass a love letter to another child they had a crush on, a burst of wind would fly the letter straight into the childâs face and theyâd end up having a terrible accident.
If they were preparing food for an upcoming dinner, they would end up pouring too much vinegar into the meal which would spoil the dinner resulting in the staff having to order pizza for the kids.
Saigishi developed a reputation as a kid with creepy powers which both amazed and terrified their fellow orphans.
The kid realized that their luck would only benefit the people around them but would make bad things happen if they tried to use it for themselves.
At the urging of their friends, they ended up participating in the Hopeâs Peak Lottery and wound up with the chance to join them as the next SHSL Lucky Student.
Sagishi was worried since something bad would eventually happen if it was the work of their luck, but they decided to take the offer knowing that they needed to make a future for themselves.
They wear a white collared shirt with old jeans.Â
They still have a mullet which has a small ahoge on the top of their head.
Mikan Tsumiki as the SHSL Gamer
She still had a horrible childhood growing up where her family and classmates would bully and abuse her for a variety of reasons.
Not wanting to put up with their abuse anymore, Mikan decided to drop out of middle school and become a hikikomori.
Using her worn out computer, Mikan found comfort in playing online video games.Â
She personally enjoys fighting games as she imagines her enemies as her abusers and would deliver swift justice on them by beating them up.
Mikan has a preference for playing as male characters since the female characters wearing skimpy/stripper-esque outfits bring back painful memories for her.
After sufficient online practice, Mikan gained enough confidence to try tournaments in the real world.Â
But she kept this secret from her family in fear that they would use this to torment her.
When it comes to tournaments, she unleashes her pent up anger and frustrations for her past tormentors by cursing at her opponents as she beats them.
While her fandom is impressed with her gaming skills, they do question why they would call her opponents by a different name and accuses them of doing something awful to her.
When she wants to calm down after a heavy day, she likes to play relaxing games with cute animals.
Nekomaru Nidai as the SHSL Prince
During his childhood years, Nekomaru stayed in his room because of his heart condition.
He received private tutoring based on the history of his kingdom along with different world cultures.
His father and mother spared no expense in providing the best doctors and medical professionals who could ensure that their son would be physically fit.
When he started making appearances outside of the palace, there were rumors that the frail prince was placed in a secret government program that was designed to create super soldiers.
Heâs often recognized for working first as a soldier under his fatherâs militia before becoming of itâs main generals.
Nekomaru is well versed when it comes to proper etiquette and engaging in the company of royals or high class aristocrats.Â
He has a personal club made of suitors who have fallen for his image as a charming (and handsome) prince.
He also devotes alot of time to interacting with the middle class of his kingdom as he believes having a bond with his people is important for a royal to have.
The main uniform he wears is a blue military outfit with a silver sash and a black beret with a family jewel in the front.
Gundam Tanaka as the SHSL Yakuza
He inherited the throne of the Tanaka Empire at an early age due to the death of his father.
He wasnât able to remember his father but the stories passed by his underlings and advisors describe him as a devil who was incredibly powerful but dangerous when provoked.
His mother on the other hand, remembers him as a loving man who was very attentive toward her needs.
Gundam would unintentionally embrace his fatherâs memory thanks to his âoverlordâ personality which would make him come off as overly dramatic and sinister to his enemies.
His reign as a yazuka lord involved more emphasis on spiritual affairs by bringing spiritual communities under his Empire.
He personally believes that maintaining ties with the spirits and Gods will grant the Tanaka Empire a stronger chance of survival.
While maintaining relationships with minor businesses under his control, he would also invite potential gang groups for tea ceremonies and offer them the chance to join him.
Heâs been trained by his advisors in using a katana and gun making him skilled enough to handle even the most dangerous of gang members.
While heâs capable of defeating them, he vows never to take the blood of anyone weaker than him or unless heâs given no other choice.
Before entering high school, Gundam was able to have his upper and lower body tattooed with images of oni demons and spirits.
He found the Four Dark Devas when he passed by a street and saw the four hamsters foraging for food in a dumpster.Â
He also expresses admiration for Soniaâs impressive swordfighting skills and has offered her an opportunity to work for his Empire if she wishes.
Kazuichi Souda as the SHSL Gymnast
Kazuichi got into gymnastics by reading alot of shonen manga.
He was impressed by how athletic and fit the heroes were so he wanted to train and be like them.
When not helping in his dadâs shop, he would try practicing parkour near the streets of his town to help him develop better flexibility.
While practicing at middle school, his teachers noticed his potential and offered him a spot in a gymnastics program.
His dad didnât like him getting into âgirly shitâ like gymnastics and frequently insulted him for it.Â
He would often perform for his friends which impressed them at first. But then things got troublesome when they requested him to do flips and jumps for their amusement.
It got worse when they tricked him into breaking into a second story classroom so he could steal the answers for an upcoming test.
Not wanting to be taken advantage of again, Kazuichi gave himself a radical makeover so no one would mess with him.
Along with his pink hair, his outfit consists of a black tanktop with neon green stripes and yellow shorts.
Hajime Hinata as the SHSL Mechanic
His parents rented his own shop for him to work at but they personally didnât invest their own time to work with him.
To avoid having to think about his loneliness, Hajime placed all of his effort and thinking into his work.
He began receiving requests to repair average household appliances before moving on to bigger machines.
Heâs received alot of praise for improving the appliances while also explaining to the owners on how they should best maintain their appliances so they can last longerÂ
The machines that he worked best with were vehicles and motorcycles.
Despite being underage, Hajime managed to practice driving on his own and learned how to drive the basic motor vehicles.
While heâs grateful for his mechanic talent, he often worries if heâs really living his life to the fullest and if thereâs something missing that he needs to achieve.
His favorite invention is a hoverboard that he uses to ride around his hometown to clear his mind after a hard dayâs work.
His mechanic uniform is a mechanic uniform with a design similar to that of a racecar driver.Â
Mahiru Koizumi as a Reserve Course Student
While Mahiru was interested in the idea of going into Hopeâs Peak, she wasnât confident enough in her photography skills to go through with the entrance exam.Â
At the insistence of her best friend Sato, Mahiru ended up in the Reserve Course so they can fight for the chance to be special.
While she didnât mind the work provided by her classes, Mahiru took notice of how her peers had a hard time with paying for their tuition along with even getting into the Talent program.Â
She also had to deal with Sato having to fight against her old rival Natsumi who was picking fights with her while trying to get recognized herself.
She became an unofficial peace keeper of her class as she would chastise her classmates for picking fights against each other or making rude remarks.
As time went on, Mahiru herself was unable to keep up with her classes since the money to pay for them was running low.Â
She would later receive an e-mail from the Steering Committee offering her a chance of entering the Talent program through an unconventional method that was funded by the school.
She had to cast that thought aside when Natsumi ended up dead and Sato is all but stated to have killed her out of frustration.
Soon vengeance would claim Satoâs life with Mahiru finding her in an empty classroom and on the brink of death with her head bleading.
Before dying, Sato begs her friend to make something special with her life and not to waste it in the Reserve Course. She knows that Mahiru will do great things in her life and that she believes in her.
Casting her doubts aside and refusing to let her friendâs death be in vain, she accepted the Steering Committeeâs offer by participating in the Hope Cultivation Project.

Dandansona AU
Thaks @shsl-shipper-gamer-fangirl for the idea
After The Tragedy of Hope's Peak Academy, the killing game featuring the members of student council, the administration of the school took responsibility for the event, and stepped down. During the police investigation, they closed the school, which prevented the immediate formation of the Ultimate Despair.

Danganronpa: Scrambled History AU is a little AU I came up with which I may or may not do stuff for sometime soon.
The idea is based on some Swap AUs I seen were certain characters swapped killing games based on certain similarities they had (For example, Lucky Students Swapping Killing Games, Detectives Swapping Killing Games, Togami's, Naegi's, stuff like that) so here I choose to do something akin to that.
Despite swapping claases, talents and personalities are keep the same.
NOTES
-Characters are swapped based on their talents being similar enough (or in the case of Makoto, Nagito, Kyoko and Shuichi, basically having the same talent).
-Hajime and Rantaro Swapped places due to being both SHSL ???, Albeit they still keep their original talents
-Himiko and Yasuhiro Swapped due to being talents who are Magical/Supernatural in nature but may just be the two lying
-Kokichi and Celestia swapped due to being the Liars of their respective Class
-Kiyotaka and Nekomaru swapped due to their talents involving leading and motivating others
-I just rotated the ones with Musical Talent (Sayaka, Ibuki and Kaede)
-Leon and Ryoma swapped due to their sport related talent
-I sorta cheated and added Chisa and Ryota from DR3 to the cast, but both of them had talents that fitted with a V3 Student (Chisa and Angie)
-Chisa and Kirumi swapped places because their talents are similar (Maid and Housekeeper) and are far more OP that what they sound like. They still keep their canon ages though (Kirumi is still 17-18 as Class 77 Teacher and Chisa is older than the rest of class 79)
-Angie and Ryota swapped due to their talent both being similar in that they involve drawing and both of them are heavily involved with brainwashing people (Angie's talent geta a bit of a boost here for the story to work but you'll see)
-Not all Characters are swapped and still remain in their native games, not only did I not find something that fitted to swap them for but I also didn't want to swap everyone, I did add a few swaps that originally intended but I feel it's for the best, since it means there's characters of all three games in all three classes
-Ironically the protagonist rotating were by complete accident despite not minding it, Shuichi swapped with Kyoko, Makoto with Nagito and Hajime with Rantaro, but It ended up being a rotation that I just noticed
-All Troublemakers in the same Class was also a coincidence as well
-All of them are the same ages more or less, they just got accepted at Hope's Peak at different times and different classes
-Class 79 is the name I gave them since the DRV3 Cast both in the demo and the Ultimate Talent Development Plan are considered are considered Underclassmen to Class 78. They don't form part of DR1 and SDR2 though, their story takes place in a different universe like the original DRV3 does.
If you have any questions about it (for example some particular swap or how the story changed in certain areas) you can ask me

Dangan Thieves Third Palace
...This is over 4300 words - last I checked. I hope this makes up for all the delays of the Third Palace and revives the AU. Thank you all for waiting! I had to take a hiatus from writing this summary and @shsl-shipper-gamer-fangirl also got pretty busy. Plus writerâs block decided to knock my head up for the Boss Battle and ending bit. Luckily for everyone, thatâs all gone now for this to arrive. As you can tell, we got ourselves Juzo Sakakura being the Third Palace Ruler and let me say - it was a blast figuring out how this would go down. Without any further delay, letâs begin anew! PS Don't blame any mistakes in here because this took long enough as is. Might revise it later if I feel like it needs one. Consider this your Christmas Present everyone!
Third Palace/The Prison PalaceÂ
Keywords: Juzo Sakakura, Hope's Peak Academy Security Building/Faculty Building, Prison
âPlayableâ Thieves: Hajime, Chiaki, Komeada, Ibuki, and Fuyuhiko with Monomi
The world inside the Metaverse created by Juzo Sakakura, it formed itself quite differently compared to the previous two. Even the way they find themselves entering the Palace is different than before. Rumors of the supposed Dangan Thieves spread throughout the campus and none of the group knows how to handle the fact their popularity is growing. And as much as Hajime, Chiaki, and Nagito would like to continue - a longer question keeps them under pressure from doing so quickly. From the last Palace, not even Nagito could understand what his cognition meant by a strange animal. It has them wanting to learn more - something that they believe may or may not backfire later on down the line. Constantly meeting up after school, their adventures to the Metaverse and Mementos continue onward slowly. In one such case, a certain student just so happened to be minding their own business when they overheard a meeting before a trip to Mementos. Unbeknownst to them, not being aware of their surroundings most of the time would be their undoing. Sometime later, Hajime, Chiaki, and Nagito are meeting up for some downtime - with nothing really relating to their identities as the Dangan Thieves when Ibuki surprises them. Startled very much at first, the group is very confused at how Ibuki even found them. She admits to stalking them and being a huge Dangan Thieves fan; it gets to the point where her loud noisy voice gets the attention of a security. Catching the attention of one of the guards in the area, the group gets scared off when that guard releases that Hajime isnât supposed to be in that part of the school. Getting off without much of punishment, this would only be the beginning of the next Palaceâs discovery. Days go on as Ibuki keeps pestering the group to have her join one of their adventures to the Metaverse. As much as it annoys Hajime, the attention starts to bring Juzo Sakakura into the whole ordeal. Everything starts off as small, minor annoyances to the party - mainly to Chiaki since Fuyuhikoâs sister isnât at all punished whenever she visits her brother as with Mahiru visiting Sato. The weird fixation Juzo has for Hajime gets to the point where the Head of Security gets restraining orders on the poor students. No matter what Nagito and Komaeda - though mostly Chiaki - try to get the restraining orders lifted, Juzo wonât budge one bit. Now forced to meet up outside of school ground and far away from the sight of any security guards, they believe that this has to stop. Yet even that clearly an objective due to the fact it could have repercussions and could get Hajime expelled if it proceeds any further. No leads for them to go on, it is then Ibuki appears and apologizes for getting them into that mess. Hajime still isnât at all forgiving since Ibuki caused him a new annoyance. Still, the Ultimate Musician wishes to join them in the Metaverse and comes up with a solution. Using her mobile device, the trio discovers that somehow Ibuki gained access to the strange Navigator App and is able to find out Juzo has a Palace. The thought of a Palace didnât really cross their minds since they couldnât even think or believe it got to that point. Having the information in hand, Ibuki agrees to help get them to the Palace with her âdistractingâ music recordings if they agree to take her to the Palace. A goal clearly set a way to get past security by Ibukiâs boisterous loud mouth, they accept it in order to lift the restraining orders on Hajime. When the first attempt into the Palace begins, it doesnât appear to be anything fancy. It first appears to be the security building and is fairly straightforward. Possessing a single floor without any real map, the Thieves quickly sweep it with ease and find themselves getting into the Treasure seemingly way too easily. At first, they seem pretty cautious since it looked to be way too much of a walk in the park. Yet temptation gets the better of them and they reach out to the âTreasureâ - something Ibuki is an entrance to the glowing chest. By a twist of predictable fate, however, that was but a trap! Getting surrounded by many Shadows appearing as Prison Officers holding various equipment. Even worse is the fact of not only being outnumbered is the liability of Ibuki. Despite her somewhat well-meaning intentions, her voice goes unheard as they try to fight them off. The battle rages on until one by one, the party is knocked out and Ace has no time to react to the sound of sirens blaring is the last thing he hears. The next thing he knows, he awakens in a prison room with Pierrot welcoming him to their cell. Much to his surprise, Ace finds that while they were unarmed, their rebellious appearance still remains. A relief to the leader since everything might become compromised if his real identity was known. Shocked at not seeing Bonnie, Monomi nor Ibuki with them, neither of the Thieves even have an idea on how to get out. Yet by looking through the bars of the cell, Pierrot places his hand on the lock and by chance or just his pure luck, it opens up for them to escape. While they still possess their outwards appearances, both Ace and Pierrot realize very quickly that neither of their Persona was summoning one bit; something that nearly cost them both their lives by mistakenly engaging in a battle. Resorting to the stealth techniques of actual thieves, they sneak around the Prison and come across Bonnie not far from their cell. Unlocking the cell door for her to escape, the trio quickly tries to locate Monomi and Ibuki to make sure theyâre okay before reclaiming their weapons and escaping. As they go more and more through the Palace, they come to find that every flight of stairs didnât lead them to anyplace where there were windows. Everything seemed to be shut off from the natural light and instead lit by the electrical system powering the place. None of them could really explain just why this was going on but soon enough, they encountered Ibuki yelling her in what appears to the lobby of the prison building with Monomi trying to get Ibuki to calm down. It is there that they find a Shadow carrying a large sack - the same one being chased by the obnoxious yelling and not trying to harm Monomi nor Ibuki. Really perplexed on whatâs going, the Thieves discover that on the ground floor that they can summon their Personas. Having their power back, the Shadow is quickly defeated and the sack is dropped to the floor to reveal the missing weapons. Pumped up by the action, Ibuki starts making a ruckus - much to the dismay of the Thieves that eventually gets the attention of the prison officers and are forced to fight some of them off. Exhaustion from the floors and the last battle tolls a good deal of hinderance on the Thieves. Monomi worries for their well being but as the battle continues, Ibuki is watching and getting excited but worried about the Thieves since even she was threatened. No matter how much she shot and yells out, it doesnât seem to be helping all she wishes to do is to help. She feels powerless in all sense of the words due to the fact that not even becoming a distraction is helping the situation at all. This sparks triggers her awakening to her Persona and a great asset to the battle since her starting powers are Nuclear and hits all the enemies. The force of her powers suddenly causes a power outage yet opens up an escape route for the Thieves to flee. Escaping to the real world after that deadly encounter, Ibuki is hyper-energetic about awakening to her Persona, everything stops when they realize where they are. Wait for a second - when did they get to the Faculty Building?! Yep - much to their shock and horror in Hajimeâs case - Juzoâs Palace is split into two different parts. The strange one-floor area that was a trap and then the prison. Nagito notes that they only escaped from the lower floors and didnât get a chance to go up those floors in the Palace. Trying to collect their thoughts, Ibuki realizes that it wouldnât be ideal to continue since sheâs pretty tired and everyone else appeared to be also. With the thought that everyone else is quite tired as well, they agree to come back tomorrow with Ibuki - much to her joy and groupâs reluctance. Yet as they are leaving the area, a certain somebody notices their activity but speaks nothing of it as they leave. The next day, the group meets up to try and get back in order to quickly change Juzoâs heart. Even with not encountering the Shadow Self, upon their return they find that the Prison is inaccessible for any of them. Ibuki even tries making a ruckus in front of the prison gates and in the first area to no avail. Stumped on just what exactly to do to get back in, Monomi questions the group on how they even got in there in the first place. Ace explains the restraining order and how strange it was that they couldn't go back inside. The magical talking bunny suggests it may be because of Ibukiâs Nuclear power spiking and causing the prison to reset its systems that by chance his cognition would have reset on who he saw at a major threat - so even if the Thieves attempted to get back inside it wouldnât let them. A major threat that he had to restrain even more due to the rumors students were gossiping to each other. Now in order to reset it and get them back inside, somebody would have to appear as a prisoner in order to get them inside. Knowing that Hajime could no longer by their ticket to get in, Chiaki suggests for the group to investigate the rumors going about and see if there was any way to seemingly get Hajime or any of them âcaughtâ  to allow them back inside the Palace. Taking some time, their chance doesn't really show up on Nagitoâs, Chiakiâs or Ibukiâs end at all. Fortunately for Hajime, he just so happened to notice how Natsumi seemed to be upset and alone during one of their classes. By some persistence and slowly gaining her trust, she lets it slip that her brother got in trouble for meeting up with her. It was so bad that Peko got hurt pretty badly and she could tell Fuyuhiko wasnât at all pleased. She confesses that it's even spooked Mahiru and Sato for meeting up - a thought she scowls at. Nothing she seems to be doing is getting him to talk to her. Yet she fears that Sato might be losing her and starting to blame both herself and Hajime for not being able to meet with Mahiru. Hajime tries his best to cheer her up and Natsumi appreciates his help before leaving. Getting that information from the younger sister to the Ultimate Yakuza, he goes to text the others with that lead and hopes that by talking with Fuyuhiko they can get caught and get back into the Prison Palace. Meeting with Fuyuhiko sometime after the news, it surprises the group to see him alone with Peko by his side - something Hajime believed wouldnât be the case. At first, the Ultimate Yakuza is reluctant to comply with even speaking with the group. Ignoring them seemed to be a priority until Hajime brought up what happened to Peko from the information his little sister told him. This pisses of Fuyuhiko and puts him on the defensive on just how he acquired that knowledge. Finally getting him to talk, they slowly get out of him that Juzo had apparently gotten information from somebody about false dealings that would disrupt order for both the Main and Reserve Course. It wasnât anything he knew about but Peko got badly hurt inside of him and he wasnât going to deal with any more of that shit. Of course, this was climax since afterward Juzo comes along to break them. Upon seeing Hajime, Fuyuhiko, and Ibuki with the other Dangan Thieves, hell breaks loose and the group flees the scene before the Head of Security can catch them. By either Komaedaâs turn of good luck or by the wheels of destiny, they happened to get out of getting caught by accidentally finding themselves at a corner of the school. How they escape would be something to question. Recollecting themselves, they found that Fuyuhiko had joined them in running off, only for him to scoff it off since Ibuki had dragged him along with her phone open. Her gleeful smile shocks the group when it suddenly transports everyone into the other world. This grandiose event that gets them into the Metaverse to not only freak out the Ultimate Yakuza but everyone as to why Ibuki would do such a dangerous thing. Theyâd be arguing a bit with trying to explain to Fuyuhiko just whatâs going until security Shadows from Juzoâs Palace roam by and once again kick their asses back in into the Palaceâs lower sections. Fortunately this time, Ace and Pierrot find that neither their Weapons or Personas are gone this time - at least for the floor they are on. Losing Bonnie, Noise, Monomi, and Fuyuhiko once again, they break out and begin to examine the floor fully this time. What the two find unusual is a security room on their level and how it seemed to be broken. Going to an above them, their Personas once again wonât appear but having their weapons, they soon come across Monomi cowering inside a security room in that level. Testing out a theory, they end of smashing the head controls of the room to find that their Personas appear once the power in that room goes out. Monomi makes a comment that it would best to destroy all the security rooms they come across and to find the others. Going up the floors again, they destroy the power sources of each room to allow access to their Personas and regroup with their remaining members. Upon reaching the main floor of the building, somebody finally decides to grab them a map during their regrouping moment. When they notice Fuyuhiko is still missing and that on the bottom floor of the Palace looked to be the main generator room, Ace decides to attack their to make sure the security rooms wonât have the power to restrict their Personas and that on their way down they can try and locate Fuyuhiko before bailing out. Descending down below with banter between the group, it comes to Bonnieâs realization that even with the map they have of the lower levels that not even Monomi knows where the Treasure Room is located. Monomi apologizes for not being of much help and reminds the Thieves that even while they are going to change Juzoâs heat, to be aware that anyone not welcomed in a strong Palaceâs cognition could easily be killed. A warning - though rarely late - gets the party motivation to continue onward when they hit that roadblock. Through every level they descend, none of them are aware of a certain figure following behind them. Not only that, but the security rooms are mysterious repaired whenever they leave and return. One way or another, the group finally reaches the main generator room and find it guarded by Shadows. Having no other real choice, they ambush the guards and defeat them to gain access to the generator. Getting a clean access to the generator, their next issue is trying to the big power off switch. Noise finds the switch first on the other side of the room and goes over to pull the switch. Just as she is about to grab the switch, she stops upon hearing something upstairs and their only exit has it bursting wide open as Fuyuhiko falls down the stairs. Pierrot and Ace go to see if heâs alright only to find themselves surrounded by shadow guards as everyone in their party is forced to the center of the room. It is here of all times does Shadow Juzo makes his appearance on the very top the railing, all the while belittling the thieves for breaking in and trying to cause an uprising for all the crimes those âprisonersâ have committed. Being in a high position compared to the Thieves, his presence alone makes them angry - especially Fuyuhiko at how arrogant the guy is. What gets to the Ultimate Yakuza is how Shadow Juzo only refers to Peko as âsome common convictâ and not as her own person - in fact, her name is only brought up by Fuyuhiko during the whole exchange between the Thieves and Shadow Juzo. Their exchange of words only lasts so long until Shadow Juzo gets fed up and uses his position as the cognitionâs prison warden to order them executed before leaving - not wanting to waste his time watching them. Another battle begins between the waves of shadow guards and the Thieves while Fuyuhiko and Monomi watch it all happen. Ibuki tries to cheer the Ultimate Yakuza to see if she gets him to awaken his Persona but to no avail. Fuyuhiko awakens his Persona more on his own after taking what Shadow Juzo said and comparing it to how he really feels about Peko. Getting the resolve he needs in order to have Peko avenged, his awakening happens and Agrippaâs first action is to rain down flaming bullets that explode upon contact. Yeah, letâs just say Gangster comes out guns ablaze to get all the remaining forces and leave burning remains inside the room. Weâll go with that, and Iâm going to leave it at that since afterward the group realizes Gangsterâs outburst caused a major blackout as it somehow destroyed the generator. They do escape somehow unharmed and no longer trapped inside the Palace. Just donât question how they did it in pitch black darkness and no backup generators; ACCEPT. IT. Blame Komaedaâs luck ok? Or that it âoverloadsâ the Palace and the Palace itself kicks them out to the real world. Either one is acceptable. Probably a few days afterward since Fuyuhiko would obvious pass out after causing that much destruction the group would all meet up. Now, they got Fuyuhiko who agrees to join their cause to mainly avenge Peko and get the whole deal with not meeting with his younger sister over with. With Gangster finally added to the party, Monomi introduces the whole switching party member things and almost everyone goes back main lobby before Gangster points out how stupid that idea is. Then through some search, they find a secret entrance to the back part of the prison and finally, Monomi gets to sensing the Treasure Room. Gangster is also while more reckless when fighting heâd another level-headed member help keep everyone in check as long as they didnât piss him off. Solving puzzles involving finding the right key cards and avoiding the protocols set up to stop them, the group goes through them one by one until they reach the Treasure Room. And where was the room they were searching for all this time? By the looks and the irony of the Thieves⊠it's the exact same place they first enter! Yelp, it's the main security office/room but now looks more like the hideout of Shadow Juzo with many monitors and backup generators running. Though now they see the misty like a sphere of where the Treasure would appear for them. Monomi confirms it as Ibuki goes and has her hand faze through the cognitionâs unstable form of the Treasure. So now after going through all that hassle to get to the room, it is very reasonable for the party to finally have the chance to now send the Calling Card. As to how they send the Calling Card, it's either getting a mass amount sent to Juzoâs office or Fuyuhiko pulls some strings to get the Calling Card to Juzo. Who knows, maybe he does both; he does whatever he wants but either way it's delivered to the man himself. Of course, it triggers the Treasure to appear and then the Thieves enter to steal the Treasure. Entering the security room, the group finds that its manifest into what appeared to be a large arena surrounded by cells and filled with inmates they recognized or know... And while the group questions it a bit, they are quickly cut off when Shadow Juzo appears by nearly shooting Aceâs head off. Ace only barely gets away from the stray bullet due to Gangster noticing it ahead of time. Shadow Juzo appears with his gun snarking at how easy it lured petty thieves into the grand arena of his. Deciding to use them as the perfect pieces of scrap metal, he makes them examples to the rest of the âfurnaceâ and the begins the battle. Shadow Juzo has a similar start to how Shadow Chisa began, sending out inmates of all sorts and kinds out from the cells on the arenaâs floor. Heâll be out of range of the attacks for the time being. The Thieves will have to focus down the waves of enemies to even have a chance at facing the Shadow Prison Warden. Heâll even have Shadow Guards of his give status ailments of Rage to the party or the Shadows they are facing if not taking down the guards quickly. One of Shadow Juzoâs moves is an instant K.O to everyone left in the open. The only way to survive is to get into the empty cells around the arena to survive the attack. It also kills the Shadows on the field as well, so it is risky since Shadow Juzo might fake people out with it at times. About halfway through the battle, Shadow Juzo is getting tired of watching the Thieves win and decides to take things into his own hands⊠...Or heads in this case since when he lands and destroys the remaining Shadows, he transforms into his second state. While the Shadow mainly is based on the guardian dog of the Underworld Cerberus, this form is quite different as while there are three, dog heads that are floating. Not connected to anybody but just floating, severed heads. Each one has a guillotine collar around the neck to symbolize that the leash/collar was too tight and it literally killed him. What makes this worse is while unleashing powerful Curse, Fire and Physical attacks one by one, their most deadly attack are when the three combine their strength. Together, the trio can unleash a deadly attack that will drop the partyâs health to 1 and nullify all buffs followed up by one head making a strike to KO another party member. This makes it very challenging to face the heads working together, so the gimmick with this is distracting the heads to prevent this from happening. Who are the ones best at distracting the heads? Well, it would be Ace, Noise, and Gangster since they were the ones to piss off Shadow Juzo the most. Only one can distract one head at a time, and while Gangster and Ace will only distract ahead, Noise ends up not only distracting ahead, but causes that distracted head to attack another. After one member is sent to distract a head, theyâll need a break before another chance to distract a head comes around. Each head is weak to a different attack: Curse to Bless, Fire to Ice, and Physical to Gun. Also, each head has a move to revive another head at fifty percent health that might use used if one head falls. Through distracting each head and ganging up, they finally take down the Shadow Juzo and the fight ends, returning the room back to normal and the Treasure finally materializes as a security badge, glittering gold and making Monomi super excited. Shadow Juzo gets to here all the Thieves and does agree to go back and give the real Juzo a change of heart. The Shadow doesnât directly state the blackmails, but mentions that âtheyâ werenât kidding underneath his breath. None of the Thieves hear what he says before he vanishes. Then, as soon as they take the Treasure into their possession, suddenly the alarms go off and they look at the monitors around the room. Much to their surprise, the Palace collapses as a prison riot breaks out and gives them a new challenge. Escaping while trying not to get caught in the riots. A timer begins as they escape as they must leave before it runs out. Once they escape, everyone returns to the outside world and confirms that the Palace has vanished and all are accounted for. Ibuki cheers in excitement at their successful heist and Fuyuhiko admits that the group isnât that bad to hang out with. Of course, the hyperactive student takes this as meaning heâs permanently going to hang out with them. Everyone laughs it off a bit until Fuyuhiko points out the treasure in Chiakiâs hands. The Ultimate Gamer is confused at first about what he meant until realizing that the Treasure was in its real form. Much to everyoneâs surprise, they find it to be a photo - much like Chisaâs Treasure. What made this different is the obvious crudely cut letters pasted on it blackmailing Juzo into doing everything. Though instead of a name being signed - the group finally learns of the Despair Bear named Monokuma. Getting this lead of sorts, the true race of finding out whatâs really going on begins and prompts them to stick together.
