I'm not sure if I already requested them but can I get Mahiru Koizumi, Ibuki mioda, and Mikan tsumiki Sfw and NSFW headcanons?
I love these three girls so much they're all adorable in their own way~
NSFW
Mahiru Koizumi / Ibuki Mioda / Mikan Tsumiki NSFW headcanons
omg I LOVED this request, I just love taking your requests in general!!! and youre so relatable for loving them because I love them dearly too omg (this might be tmi but I’d let them to unspeakable things to me)
— mod hiyoko
Mahiru Koizumi
- Y’know episode 2? Where she’s talking about sexy selfies? Weellll…
- About that, Mahiru has a whole LOT of pictures of her in compromising positions.
- Also videos too, she filmed herself masturbating once. Okay I will stop talking about this now LMAO
- She likes being called mommy, it makes her feel like she’s in charge. However, she won’t admit it.
- She teases, but also secretly likes to be teased.
- I see her being VERY dominant, which is why she’s really bossy most of the time.
- She hates masturbating, it makes her feel dirty but if she’s really stressed then she will go for it.
- Mahiru also hates cumming, it’s sticky and it gets everywhere. She just wants to keep everything clean.
- Kisses and praises turn her on.
- I feel like her pace depends on her mood. Mahiru normally goes at a normal speed- if she’s stressed, she’ll go slightly rougher.
Ibuki Mioda
- Ibuki isn’t afraid to masturbate, unless if she’s with someone then she won’t. Butttt, if she’s in a secluded area…
- She plays loud music during “it”, she claims that it keeps her full of energy.
- Fast pace.
- She has a whole playlist dedicated to sex.
- VERY loud, she’s not afraid to scream or moan.
- Ibuki secretly wrote a song about blow jobs. When she’s alone, she SCREAMS the lyrics.
- She probably owns a few toys but doesn’t use them that often. When she’s horny, she uses nearby stuff like the handle of a fork to shove inside her when she literally owns a dildo or something.
- She loves giving hickeys, she leaves them on places it’s hard to cover up.
- Ibuki LOVES chokers, she thinks they’re hot. She wears them whenever she’s in the mood.
- Loves suggestive teasing. Like, she’s a HUGE fan of it.
Mikan Tsumiki
- Mikan isn’t open about her sexual fantasies, but hugs and kisses from behind are a huge turn on for her.
- She goes at slow, sensual pace. If she does something wrong, it’s over for her.
- But if she’s stressed, she sometimes goes a little aggressive, just like Mahiru.
- She has masturbated once in an empty hospital room.
- REALLY good with her hands- her handjobs are the best.
- She let’s out soft moans and whimpers.
- Squeals too.
- Mikan once thought about being tied up by her bandages.
- She just really likes bandages. Handcuffs? No. Bandages.
- She’s just into bondage.
- Somehow surprisingly good at suggestive teasing??? However she barely teases- I don’t think she would even like teasing.
- If she’s being teased, she’s in tears.
- Mikan likes it when her hair is gently tugged on, she puts her hair in a ponytail because of this reason.

Do you have any Junkan headcanons? I feel like there's so many interesting ways to take them, toxic Yuri for the win
Oh you caught me on a GREAT day for toxic yuri. I was just reading Kill Me Now this morning so I am just Raring to go about girls in love in ways that are just deeply fucked up and potentially lethal.
We're going noncanon-DR3 for this one, because in the context of Junkan it's just what I prefer. There IS something interesting about Junko taking a very vulnerable young woman craving love and physically removing her agency entirely to string her around a relationship like a beautiful little marionette to love Junko however she wants, and the ways that extreme would speak as a representation of manipulative relationships in general and a peek into what Junko truly wants.
But that's not really my jive beyond its narrative implications. Junko is manipulating Mikan either way, of course. But something I truly love about despair!Mikan in SDR2 is that, when she reveals her colors, she isn't exhibiting the symptoms of an abused young girl the way she did when she wasn't in despair. Despair Mikan is vibrant. She's confident. She's HAPPY, deliriously so, isolated and lashing out and so, so free. She says outright that she doesn't give a shit about despair. She doesn't want to be unhappy. She just wants love. She is so, so in love.
And the implication of this (imo) is that, at some point in their relationship, there's a shift. Junko is reeling Mikan in like a fish on a hook because that's what she does. And at some point, to put it simply - Mikan Chooses to fall into despair. She actively wants what Junko is doing for her. There is a moment, somewhere along the way, where Mikan looks at what she's going to become flat in the face, and goes: Yes. This, too, I will do, for love. And for control.
Because for Mikan, love IS control. The control people had over her, which they exercised so poorly, presumably - in her mind - because that's the love she deserved. The love a nurse has for her patients, because Mikan LOVES the control she has over her patients, loves that they depend on her, loves knowing she could kill them if they crossed her. Would love if she could kill Anyone if they crossed her. Deep down, Mikan craves the ability to continue the cycle of which she is a victim. She wants to hold lives in her hands. She wants to feel the dwindling beat of a dying heart in her palm, ripped from the people who hurt her. She wants blood. She wants vengeance for herself.
She is just waiting for someone to give her permission. Someone to love. Someone to hand over control to, who will use her the way she wants to be used.
Junko LOVES control.

reading the wiki, going "oh mikan didn’t have any friends growing up?" and putting her in an AU where she was childhood friends with ryoko and matsuda
As you should!!! That would be super interesting, tbh. Childhood friends enomatsumiki/ryoumatsumiki would be such an interesting dynamic - especially the Yasuke and Mikan angle! We all know Mikan would grow to adore Ryouko, considering... But her relationship with Yasuke would be the really interesting part. Also, I could totally see the two of them defending her from bullies. Maybe Yasuke's mom sort of "takes in" Mikan in the sense that she let's her stay with her to get away from her guardians. And maybe when she gets dementia, that's one of the first things to go - leading to a very traumatic memory of Yasukes mom forcing Mikan out of her house with little to no warning. That whole thing would probably fuel both Mikan and Yasuke's medical career - not just Yasukes. Can you tell I have a lot of Yasuke's mom feelings? I imagine little Ryouko/Junko and little Mikan both call her "auntie". When Ryouko loses her memories, I think, would be the first clash between Yasuke and Mikan, since Mikan would not buy that it was natural and would demand Yasuke stop erasing her memories. "What are you expecting to happen here? That you can keep erasing her memories until the end of time? It won't work! She'll figure it out!" (Which would maybe lead into Yasuke talking about the NWP, which I think would genuinely scare Mikan.) If he explained that he was hiding her to shield her from consequences, Mikan would accept that as long as it was temporary. The fact that it wouldn't be temporary is where he'd lose her. She'd accuse him of trying to change her, not really loving her as she is, etc etc. Just full on hysterical yelling. I could see, like, her going along with it at first to protect Junko, only to get suspicious that it's going on for so long and confront Yasuke, leading to a truly explosive argument. Because Yasuke knew she wouldn't approve and left out shit just to get her to go along with everything. Oh! I also like to think that Ryouko would remember Mikan as well, and keep asking about her. To which Yasuke deflects everytime, feeling worse by the minute.
Mikan can't really... do anything to oppose this whole thing on her own though. That's why she'd probably go to Mukuro, and they'd have an alliance through most of DR0. Would Mikan actually appear to Ryouko, confusing her with how it seems she's working with Junko? That could be interesting. It could also be interesting that she works in the shadows, but I do like the messiness that comes with Ryouko seeing her working with Junko, feeling like she's been betrayed. Maybe she wants to forget such a thing so much that she never writes it down, and each time is a new betrayal.
But, she would also not be cool with killing Yasuke. And Junko and Mukuro know it. Junko would probably lie after the fact that she only killed him to defend herself - since Yasuke does start choking her. Which... Mikan would have really complicated feelings on. She'd probably comfort Junko about it, though, which is the real kicker.
The whole thing would probably end really messy. If Mikan ever caught on that Junko killed Yasuke for fun, she'd... probably be very unnerved. In this situation, she's built just as much as a bond with Yasuke as Junko. She might just not believe it on its face. She might become scared that Junko would betray her too. I feel like, in a world where Yasuke was a force in Mikan's life from the start, she'd have much more stable attachments, so she wouldn't be quite as obsessed with Junko. (Vs in a scenario where they met later- especially if they met because of Junko, since that would just subconsciously confirm to Mikan that she has all these good things because of Junko, too.) Despite having more time with Junko, I could actually see her as far more sane and stable than her counterpart. Because unlike canon Mikan, she actually did get support when she needed it. (Now if her childhood friend was only Junko, that would be a different story.)
Matsushima already reads as a Greek tragedy, but adding Mikan into it just makes the whole thing even more tragic in this case. (Junko would approve.) But good gosh is the image of tiny Yasuke, Junko, and Mikan eating orange slices that mama Matsuda served them too gosh dang adorable.

WHETHER ITS CUDDLES OR KISSES IDC
I NEED TO READ THE GIRLS
(please and thank you 💖)
AMASAIOUMOTA GENDERBENT CUDDLING HEADCANONS
content warnings - none!!
author's note - anon, you didn't specify, but i'm assuming you want headcanons, so i hope you enjoy! mod Kokichi helped, LOVE U MOD MIKAN (thanks, mod kokichi! thru wrote the majority of these headcanons, pls give them some love :))
➼ First off: they all LOVE to cuddle together as one big group.
➼ Nobody left out >:]
➼ Momota has a big space blanket that she likes to use when cuddling.
➼ It’s usually two people sandwiched between the two others, but there are some occasional times where someone’s having a bad day and the rest accommodate to patch it up.
➼ So whoever’s having the bad day lies down on the bed, back against the cushioning while someone goes on top of them - the two other lovers on each side of the person lying on the bed.
➼ It’s usually Saihara or Ouma who needs the extra comfort, but there are those rare moments where Momota or Amami need those special hugs as well.
➼ It’s usually Ouma on top since she’s the lightest.
➼ Now on the sofa during movie nights and whatnot, Amami likes to be the sort of mother that everyone leans on - so Momota rests her head on her shoulder, Saihara rests her head on the other, and Ouma lies his head down on Amami’s lap.
➼ When Saihara’s resting on Amami’s shoulder, or anyone’s shoulder matter of fact, she likes to hold their arm as something to squeeze against. It’s a sort of comfort factor.
➼ Ouma likes thighs. Likes them as pillows, likes them as stuffed animals, likes them as playthings. She just likes them overall - especially those of her lovers. So when cuddling on sofas or the occasional in bed movie night, she’ll rest against whoever’s thighs - if it’s exposed she’ll gladly leave small kisses on the soft plush.
➼ Momota is all about warm, comforting hugs. So sometimes, she’ll stretch her arms out and take everyone into her outstretched embrace - squeezing them all together as they relax and talk.
➼ Saihara’s never the one to initiate things. Usually. But she’ll go for back hugs whenever she’s particularly stressed and/or tired, and she’ll also hug a lover’s arm as a way to ask for a session of cuddling.
➼ Whenever Amami’s away, everyone misses her. It’s the same for everyone else, undivided attention and love for the each of them from everyone in the group.
➼ So usually when someone’s away, the lovers gather up three pieces of their clothing (with a strong hint of their scent on it) and use it as a makeshift of that person. At least for a bit till they actually come back.
➼ They absolutely love hugs together, and if anyone were left out they’d honestly feel pretty bad.
KISSING
➼ They love kissing when cuddling
➼ They all have different styles of kissing as well -
➼ Ouma will tease his lovers by kissing them anywhere but the lips - bringing them to pull her in and kiss her themselves.
➼ Saihara is shy. She’ll leave light, short kisses anywhere on her lovers - pulling away quickly due to her shyness. But if any of her lovers pulls her back in, she’ll blush immensely and melt into it.
➼ Momota is confident. She’ll pull any of her lovers in and make out there and then, wether in public, home, anywhere - but not TOO in public, she doesn’t wanna disturb parents with their kids y’know -
➼ Amami is smooth. She knows the best ways to leave her lovers yearning for more, and you bet that she does it often. Most ‘experienced’ kisser … not from dating, but from her own knowledge on how to do things. Definitely teaches the others.
➼ Group kissing is something they like as well. It’s usually Saihara receiving the kisses, as she’s the one who’s usually having a stressful, hard day.
➼ And so, it’d be one of her lovers kissing her lips and the other two kissing the sides of her face.
➼ AND GOSH MAKING OUT IS LIKE SKSLDKWKAKS
➼ They like a competition, “who can get whoever’s receiving attention?” And it turns into a whole thing.

Ooh~ can you write Ibuki, Kaede and Mikan headcanons separately of course, where each girl is dating a delinquent that's usually mean but nice only to them and gets kinda shy and clingy around them too just cause they love their girlfriend so much
Ibuki Mioda / Mikan Tsumiki / Kaede Akamatsu with a delinquent S/O that’s mean but nice, shy and clingy around their girlfriend
omg this request is so unique
- mod hiyoko
Kaede Akamatsu
- She noticed your disrespectful attitude towards other people, and she was really concerned.
- Kaede did sort of admire you for being so rebellious and determined…
- You being a delinquent made her worried in general- what if something bad happens? What if you get into a fight? Or what if you get in trouble?
- That was until you two were alone together.
- You began to show Kaede affection out of nowhere, leaving her shocked.
- You hugged her from behind (basically being a bit handsy or whatever) and refuses to let go.
- She thought that this was the most cutest thing ever.
- Was this your true nature? You didn’t have to be so shy about it…
Ibuki Mioda
- She thought that you were the most coolest badass person ever.
- Seriously though, she admired you!
- Ibuki didn’t care If you were mean or if you got into a fight, because she’s knows that you’re gonna kick ass.
- She’s supporting you no matter WHAT. If you were in a arguement, you’d hear Ibuki cheering you on in the crowd.
“HELL YEAH, S/O! WOOOO!”
- You two were just chilling together, until suddenly...
- You held her close, wrapping your arms around her waist.
- She was ASTONISHED.
- Ibuki begins to burst out laughing while squeezing you back tightly.
- She didn’t understand why you were so shy.
“Awhhhh! You’re so adorable, S/O!”
Mikan Tsumiki
- Mikan was deathly afraid of you, so she was always careful because she doesn’t want to accidentally “anger you”.
- She always carry’s a first aid kit around you, what if you get into a fight and hurt yourself?
- Mikan apologized constantly whenever she made a mistake, she doesn’t want you to be mad at her.
- She always thought that you didn’t like her that much (even thought you two are literally dating) since you were so rude to other people around you.
- And while she was hanging around you,
- You hugged her tightly, causing a squeak to come out of her mouth.
- Mikan began to cry out of joy, thinking that you would never do such a thing.
- She hugs you back, still crying.
- She understands your shyness. <3

Dangancember 2024 - Danganronpa Top 24 Class Trials: Number 24 Danganronpa 2 Case 3
//So...first thing's first...
//I am...kind of shocked that this one actually made the list. Because this trial is genuinely in my top 5 least favorite trials in the series, and it is widely considered to be the all-time worst case in the entire series for everybody else. For me personally, there are just a few that I like a little less, for a few reasons, which I've already gone over in the dishonerable mentions.
//But this trial is still good enough to manage to get onto the list, and I do think there are parts of it that people hold against it that are...a little too harsh. However, I generally do agree with the consensus that there is more room for improvement here.
//This case is the case that many in the fandom have deemed a moment where Danganronpa was at it's worse, and honestly, there is good reason for that. As much as I try to find good things about this case, it's really hard.
//This trial is the definition of a filler case in my eyes and no matter what aspect of it you look at, there's going to be a giant flaw with it.
//I'll go in detail in a bit obviously, but let it be known that this trial has a not very engaging mystery, terrible trial pacing, bad characterisations, big leaps in logic even for this series, and the absolute worst two parts of this trial for me, are the motive and the logistics, because believe it or not, this trial has something that you wouldn't expect from a series as well-constructed as Danganronpa.
//And that is…a potential plot hole! But we'll go over everything that makes this case flat out bad, while also trying to look for any positives we can find.
//Let's start this case with the first, and in my opinion, one of the biggest issues with it: The Motive.
//To its credit, when you look back at the motive, and remember that this whole story of DR2 took place inside a virtual reality simulator, then it makes a little more sense. However, that doesn't stop it from being hopelessly dumb.
//A plot point and the motive Monokuma places in this chapter, is a type of illness called the, Despair Diseasetm.
//So, as the name implies, the Despair Disease is a type of what I can only assume to be a manufactured virus that Monokuma spreads around the students on the island. You might wonder, what does it do? Well, it's quite simple! It's an illness that alters your behavior! More precisely, it alters your behaviour to be the exact OPPOSITE of your typical behavior. And I nearly forgot, too! With a single snap of his fingers, Monokuma can miraculously cure this illness, which he inevitably does after Ibuki and Hiyoko's bodies are discovered.
//Four people contract this illness around the middle of Chapter 3, and three of them spend a significant portion of the chapter in lockdown. The first is Nagito, a character who is typically forthright and honest but becomes a huge, rotten liar once afflicted. Then Ibuki, who is typically a vivacious, bubbly, and bright individual, becomes a blind fool and accepts all she is told as fact. Then Akane, who is steadfast in her beliefs and typically doesn't become upset or notice significant problems (as demonstrated in this chapter following Nekomaru's removal for treatment), becomes a person who is continuously crying and terrified of the world around her, and immediately regrets everything despite what she stated literally the day before.
//Last but not least, Mikan, who deserves praise for effectively concealing her condition, eventually transforms from passive to aggressive. To the point that she actually murders somebody.
//Yeah, because I don't really want the murderer to have a good reason to kill or anything! This isn't a ridiculous method of making a normally composed person kill someone! RIGHT!?
//*sigh* Look...The Despair Disease sucks for several reasons. Not only is, for one, incredibly dumb in concept, and two, a very blatant excuse to have a normally friendly and timid character turn out to be a murderer, but it actually really knocks down the characterization and development of a lot of the DR2 cast, who are already the best cast in the series, but this is easily their low point.
//Mikan especially, with her motivation, being tied to the Despair Disease, feels underwhelming and disconnected from her character arc. While the disease's purpose is to justify odd behavior, it robs Mikan of agency, making her actions feel less meaningful.
//Hiyoko spent the entire game tredding over Mikan. Kicking her down, and going out of her way to leave her out of EVERYTHING, and for little reason at that. Even in the moments where Hiyoko does allow herself to be vulnerable, she specifically singles Mikan out, and doesn't want anything to do with her. Even though I think Hiyoko is a much deeper character than most people usually see her as, the fact is that she was absolutely VILE to Mikan through the whole game.
//It would NOT be weird for Mikan's motivation to simply lie in the fact that she couldn't take it anymore. It would MAKE SENSE for Mikan to want to murder Hiyoko after being subjected to this abuse for so long. And if that had actually been the case, I think that could genuinely have made Mikan one of my favourite characters in the series, because not only is that a real statement on the kind of damage that bullying can cause, but it's actually a very reasonable motive!
//I mean, I'm not obviously encouraging anyone to kill their bullies, because that solves nothing. If anything, it means the bully wins because you basically just ruined your own life. But my point is there was an opportunity here, and it kind of felt wasted. There's little emotional or thematic weight to the murders committed in this chapter compared to other cases in the series.
//Oh yeah, speaking of which, why don't we talk about the fact that there's an "s" on the end of "murder" here, because Hiyoko isn't the only one that got killed this chapter, and in fact, she wasn't the original target to begin with!
//As is tradition with, weirdly, every single third case in both the main and Another series, the killer of those cases almost always murders two people. SDRA2 is the exception to this, but three people die anyway because that case had two killers, not two victims.
//But...why?
//To be frank, although three people always die in the third cases, only ONE of those cases actually kind of makes sense to have two victims. But...we'll get to that.
//For this case at least, both Ibuki and Hiyoko died, and honestly, while I feel that one of them should have died, BOTH of them shouldn't have.
//See, the thing is, with Ibuki, it doesn't feel like she could have or should have survived to the end of the game. The goal of her character was to bring light humor to the table, and to be honest, she's probably 70% of the happiness on that godforsaken island. However, her attitude, personality, and general OWO Lol rofl attitude could be viewed as a little annoying and unhelpful.
//The issue is that it simply seems as though the devs killed Ibuki in Chapter 3 because they didn't want her to survive and used this as a pretext to do so. If that isn't the case, she was most likely murdered off because the first game committed a double murder, and they wanted to make a, may I add very poor, trend of that. The point is that Ibuki was killed off without any clear rhyme or justification, and while I won't deny that her bizarre demeanor during the last few trials may have broken the somber tone, keep in mind that two of the game's most peculiar and obnoxious characters, Yasuhiro and Toko, were among the survivors of the first game! Additionally, if you were going to remove her from the equation, do it in a way that is more significant, like Gundham. Is that really so difficult?
//Then there's Hiyoko, which is an entirely seperate issue, but has the same problems.
//She appeared to be going through a bit of an arc at this time. Despite all the problems Hiyoko brought to the table in the first two parts of the game, she was attempting to live and improve herself for the benefit of Mahiru, the one person on the island with whom she truly had a good friendship, and who was killed in the previous chapter.
//Despite all of this, even after I checked up on the lore and realized it wasn't true, I can't shake the weird sense that killing a character like her off was the original plan. Hiyoko was supposed to be one of the survivors, while Fuyuhiko was supposed to be the one who died in this chapter.
//To be honest, I'm relieved that didn't happen. I was immediately more invested in Fuyuhiko's arc than I was in Hiyoko's (again, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it), so in a way, I'm glad Hiyoko died instead of him. Like Hiyoko, Fuyuhiko was going through an arc where he would live for the sake of someone who died in the previous case, but for him, it was Peko, who was the killer.
//Referring back to what I've already stated regarding the motive and Ibuki, though, it would have been preferable if she had died and ONLY she died. It would have been more intriguing to learn what caused the killer to lose it, and it could have added a little more sadness to Hiyoko's death, because she was terrible to everyone on the island at this point in her storyline, especially this case's killer.
//But no. Not only was Hiyoko killed off and had her character arc cut short for such an unscrupulous reason, but the reason why she died in the first place is because she happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It had NOTHING to do with her terrible treatment of Mikan.
//What's more, she feels SO SECONDARY, that we never actually cover HOW she died! She had her throat slit but...By WHAT!? And WHEN!? Nobody seems to care!
//I simply don't understand how TWO CHARACTERS could die in this chapter, and BOTH of them feel like they died as an afterthought! Even though Hiyoko is a main character and has an arc planned out for her, she truly feels like a secondary concern; and Ibuki dies in a way that feels more like a plot device than a meaningful loss. Her death lacks the emotional resonance seen in other victims' deaths.
//And I don't know how that's even POSSIBLE, and yet...It happened!
//And what's more, not only was the double murder bad for these two characters...it was bad for the game...in GENERAL! Because it ultimately results in creating an overly-complicated murder plan that is needlessly complex and relies heavily on improbable coincidences and timing.
//The double-murder in Game 1 was, surprisingly, quite straightforward. Celeste manipulated Hifumi into helping her murder Taka so she could confuse everybody, and then before Hifumi had a chance to squeal, Celeste killed him too.
//Like, that plan MAKES SENSE! But the two double-deaths that succeed it just...DON'T!
//Mikan's plan required manipulating Ibuki into climbing the stepladder and hanging herself, while also somehow setting up Hiyoko's murder in a way that wouldn't immediately implicate her. The use of the video feed and staged crime scene adds layers of confusion without much payoff.
//The trial just drags due to excessive leaps in logic and over-reliance on mechanics like repeating the same evidence. Some revelations feel contrived, such as the reliance on the despair disease as a catch-all explanation for behavior.
//And this is where the dreaded plot hole comes in. I'm gonna try and explain this as best as I can, but even if I do that, it might sound a little complex. So please, don't hold it against me, it's the trials fault, not mine.
//Okay, so...*deep breath* To quote Hajime, here's everything that happened in this case:
//This case begins with Hajime entering the hospital, where Nagito, Akane, and supposedly Ibuki are being treated. There, he notices a broadcast on a monitor in the hospital lobby using a video system that Kazuichi set up that connects from the Hospital to the Music Venue. The original purpose of this was to allow communication across the island so that the group could better communicate while quarentining the sick students at the hospital.
//But the video appears to show a live suicide occurring at the Music Venue, with a figure wearing a bag over their head, obfuscating their identity. Hajime immediately runs to the Music Venue upon seeing it cut to black.
//However, the video was, in actuality, a ruse staged by Mikan, who had actually filmed it in the hospital conference room just above Hajime.
//When Hajime arrives at the Music Venue, he discovers Ibuki's body, already deceased for quite some time. Shocked, he rushes to the hotel to inform the others. Meanwhile, Mikan seizes this opportunity to carry out several elaborate actions at the Music Venue.
//First, she smashes the monitor used for the video broadcast.
//Second, she raises the temperature of the venue to manipulate the time-of-death estimation.
//Third, she breaks a drumstick and then glues the door shut to make it seem as though the culprit locked themselves inside, casting suspicion on those who were absent.
//And fourth, she tears off wallpaper concealing Hiyoko's already-dead body behind a stage pillar, creating the illusion that she died after Hajime's initial discovery. In actuality, Hiyoko was murdered BEFORE Ibuki after she accidentally walked in on Mikan setting up the murder, and had to be silenced. Mikan killed Hiyoko, stuck her to the wall with tape, and covered her with wallpaper before she left.
//After finishing these tasks, Mikan runs outside and encounters Fuyuhiko near the motel, where Hajime is already convincing Chiaki to return to the scene.
//Within the rough timeline, Hajime’s trip to the motel, and his success in bringing Chiaki back likely took no more than TWO! FUCKING! MINUTES! This implies that Mikan had less than TWO MINUTES to execute all of her actions that I've just listed at the Music Venue. A feat requiring EXCEPTIONAL speed, precision, and foresight.
//The issue arises with the plausibility of Mikan’s capabilities. While an athletic and quick-thinking character like Maki or Peko might believably pull off such a crime, Mikan’s established characterization makes this incredibly unlikely.
//Her clumsiness is a DEFINING trait; so much so that her falling awkwardly serves as EVIDENCE in the game's first case! Asking the audience to believe she could perform such an elaborate and precise crime strains credibility.
//I know that I kind of play with this idea in DR Survivor, with Mikan being shockingly powerful and agile despite herself when she gets serious, but it doesn't change the fact that in general, this is just really dumb, and near IMPOSSIBLE to achieve!
//I am aware more than anyone that Danganronpa makes some pretty incredible leaps in basic behavior, and the whole idea of the series is that the riddles are typically intended to be senseless and irrational from a regular standpoint. But even in the game's own universe, THIS scenario is impossible! Even if Kiyo and his seesaw were a little crazy for a murderous plot, THAT plan made sense and could probably work in a real world setting!
//And this trial is just full of really dumb leaps in logic. Here's another one! Monokuma's movie!
//This plot point where Monokuma makes a really shitty Wizard of Oz parody where he just murders all the characters, arises because Mikan apparently did an imitation murder of the events of the movie.
//It's also maybe the most forgotten points of this trial, yet being one of the most important ones altogether. Mikan had originally intended to kill Ibuki and JUST Ibuki when Hiyoko unintentionally walked in on her, therefore the imitation murder wasn't planned. Apparently, the imitation murder was simply carried out as a red herring to divert our attention from the question of why the murderer would have done it.
//Now, I kindly ask where the logic in that idea is? If I were killing someone and then unintentionally had to kill someone else who had entered my room, why in the world would my initial reaction be, "Crap, this wasn't planned! Here's an idea! I'll mimic the plot of that stupid film in order to trick everyone!"
//The answer is I wouldn't! Because that's a really dumb and ridiculous leap in logic!
//Also, you know how Danganronpa and Ace Attorney are widely recognized for their cultprits having cartoonishly dramatic emotional breakdowns when they get caught? I think Mikan might be a big reason why.
//Now, I'm all for Mikan being a crazed lunatic under her skin. Like I said, if that side was brought out in the face of snapping under repeated emotional duress, it would make sense. But Mikan's breakdown and confession, while shocking, feels inconsistent with her previous characterization.
//While there are hints at her deeper personality issues, her sudden transition into a despair-crazed killer feels jarring and poorly developed. Especially at that moment where you have no real context, and it's kind of established that "Oh, no, this is just who she really is. She was always fucking crazy."
//The despair disease is never revisited or explained in depth, making it feel like a gimmick rather than a meaningful addition to the story. The case contributes little to the overarching narrative, making it feel like filler compared to the more impactful cases before and after it. The only thing I CAN say it contributes to are two things:
It explains the tense mood throughout the first act of Chapter 4, and a large reason why Gundham was pushed to sacrifice himself. Because of Mikan's personality shift, everybody, especially Kazuichi, begins to doubt everyone else's true nature and motivations. After all, what's stopping there from being another crazed lunatic among them like her?
It's the biggest hint towards the truth of why the Remnants are there, because upon remembering, Mikan reverted to her Remnant self, which all of the others on the island actually were like before they forgot. It's an interesting thing to look back on post-game, but at the moment in time, it feels out of place and weird.
//Still, I can't pretend to completely despise this case. After all, the fact that it made the list in the first place is still an achievement. It may be among the lesser cases of the DR series, but it's still not the worst.
//For fans of Mikan, this case offers a glimpse into the darker facets of her personality, hinting at a deeper connection to despair and her toxic relationships in the past. Her breakdown and confession, while sudden and kind of nonsensical, add layers of tragedy to her character; who has already been established to be a very broken person, as it ties into her desperate desire to feel needed, even at the cost of her sanity.
//And that, even amongst every other part of her, is probably the saddest thing. She's actually the second purple-haired character in the series who was abused by everyone and yearns for codependence, but hers and Toko's are two different kinds of pain.
//The trial features standout moments of character interaction and tension, such as the beginning where Nagito accuses Hajime of being the perpetrator, although knowing that Hajime is the only one who could not have committed the crime because, before to the trial, he was the only one who did not watch Monokuma's movie.
//And again, to reiterate, the way this case subtly foreshadows the larger narrative is pretty neat upon reflection.
//The case subtly hints at overarching themes of the game, particularly the influence of despair on the characters and the blurred line between victims and culprits. And Mikan’s ties to "her beloved," which at this point in time is almost confirmed to be Junko Enoshima, and her obsession with Despair act as breadcrumbs for the larger plot twist later in the game.
//In short, Case 3 suffers from a mix of convoluted plotting, unsatisfying motivations, and lack of emotional depth, making it feel like one of the weaker cases in the series. It’s often seen as a missed opportunity for character development and storytelling. However while it might not be the strongest in terms of logical consistency or character motivations, its unique atmosphere, impact, and the spotlight on Mikan’s character arc make it a memorable chapter for me.
//Enough, at least, to earn it an honorary spot on this list.

Can I get a fluff prompt for Mikan and Maki (seperate) where she gets confessed to by her shy Classmate reader that she likes but was under the mistaken impression that he hated her when in reality he was absolutely smitten with her
mikan and maki getting confessed to by shy!male!reader!
info: male!reader, light mentions of bullying
type: hc format, non-despair au
a/n: love these girls so much
⟡♡⟡♡⟡♡⟡♡⟡♡⟡♡⟡♡⟡♡⟡♡⟡♡⟡♡
mikan tsumiki
what a clusterfuck
you are both extremely shy
and you both like each other
you always hated how mikan was treated by the others, but you were never quite strong enough to defend her
she must think you're such a wimp! a terrible person! what kind of person doesn't defend a girl?
mikan, as usual, thinks you despise her which she thinks for most of her classmates
however, it hurts more because she genuinely wants to get closer to you, she's just too scared to approach you in fear that'll she will be rejected
...you felt the exact same
your other classmates are not stupid and notice the shy romantic tension between you
kazuichi actually approaches you and tells you to shoot your shot, even though you kept denying the fact you had a crush on mikan
don't worry kaz is here for you, he's such a bro
one afternoon, classes were over - you and kazuichi hung out in the school courtyard
you both see mikan tottering to the dorm buildings and kazuichi immediately (gently) shoves you towards her despite your protests
"u-uhm... can I help you, y/n..?" mikan was standing right in front of you, when you looked behind you, kazuichi was gone
fuck it
"uhm... hi, mikan... uh..." you had no idea where to even start... so you just blurted it out "I-I really like you! I... I've liked you for awhile..."
she thought you were joking, she even looked around cautiously to see if there was hiyoko or someone near by filming her
regardless she was blushing bright red
"m-me...? but I'm just a klutzy, pile of trashy waste... how c-could you like me..?"
you started to tear up from her words, how could she say that?!
"not at a-all! don't think that way, mikan... you're s-so helpful! even when p-people are mean to you... you always help them... and... you're so beautiful, I-I always feel better on the inside when you're near me... don't think y-you're trash! because you're not..."
mikan immediately starts bawling her eyes out at your kind words
she admits her own feelings for you in a very 'mikan' sort of way
tearfully, you ask her if they could go for ice cream which she agrees with a happy giggle
you two start dating not long after... your fellow classmates (except some obvious ones) think you're the cutest couple ever
maki harukawa
why did she have to fall for you... of all people, she falls for the complete opposite of what she is
you were a shy, sweet guy that wouldn't harm a fly even if he tried
and she was a cold, calculating and violent individual, not exactly a match made in heaven
you weren't an idiot like the others and you never actually did anything to bother her, although you were shy she found you easy to talk to
but that's probably because you're busy listening to her voice half the time...
however, she hasn't confessed her feelings at all because first of all, she's not really good at 'expressing' feelings...
second of all, she didn't even fathom that you liked her at all
yes you let her talk to you but she imagined that you were scared of her and just did it because you felt that you had to
a lot of the other classmates didn't like her because of how she is, why should you?
truth be told, you were absolutely in love with her
she is incredibly pretty, even when her expression is either blank or full of murderous intent
you can't help but find her coldness... attractive? there was just something about it that made you feel a funny way when she calmly insults kokichi for the 999th time or threatens to kill others that annoy her
is that a simp I hear?
you approached shuichi and kaito one day during lunch, since they were maki's closest friends, to get some advice on how to... approach the girl
of course they were both a little worried for you, shuichi especially
but kaito gave you the best advice he could, something about 'puff your chest out!' and 'be confident in the face of the bear!', not great stuff
either way you took his advice as best you can, catching maki when she was alone
"uhm... maki..?" you tapped your index fingers together
"y/n?" maki looked a little surprised that you were talking to her first "what is it?"
"ah.. uhm... I... I really like you... in a romantic sense- I understand if you... you don't like me that way too..."
maki's eyes widened, staring at you completely dumbfounded, then shaking her head
"you're stupid... you like me? do you want to die?" "why the hell do you even like me? you barely know me."
"y-yes! I know b-but.. I like that about you.. I-I like the mystery you have... and... you're really pretty.. your voice is really calming... I like listening to you..."
little makiroll began to blush, starting to fidget with her twintails. was she dreaming?
"you're just plain stupid..." she sighed, her eyes glued to the ground. "but... I like you too."
you and maki sat on the bench together for awhile, just talking casually. you even made her smile
it started slowly, but you and her got together as a couple. if you had any bullies for your shyness... they're not a problem anymore
