Makoto being pushed into the position of being the next Headmaster of Hopes Peak Academy.

The original building being renovated and restored. Makoto having to walk back through those halls and sit in the office that once belonged to Monokuma.

It doesn't matter how much it's changed, all Makoto can see is the same place his friends lived and died in. He knows where his old room is, the door still won't shut properly.

There's a golden sword on display and sometimes Makoto swears it's still covered in blood. He jumps everytime an announcement is heard over the speakers.

Waiting for the moment that body is discovered.

Makoto who's full of survivors guilt and trauma being forced back to where it all began.

Look, I know Junko is the Ultimate Fashionista, but in my head, she's really the Ultimate Influencer.

Like how Hiro is technically the Ultimate Clairvoyent, but in my head, he's really the Ultimate Con Man.

The thing about the idea that Junko influenced Makoto beyond the grave isn't that it's necessarily wrong, but how everyone goes about it is.

No, Makoto wouldn't have nightmares about Junko tormenting him, he wouldn't give her the benefit of the doubt, he wouldn't even remotely think she was ever right.

No no no, what Junko does influence Makoto is keep fighting, succeeding and just being himself now with the added motivation of spite.

She wanted him to Despair? Well now he will Hope harder.

She drowned the world into Despair? Now he will make sure to fix it harder.

She brainwashed people? Well he will just undo it harder.

She wants him to die? Well now he will live on and on.

Hell if she somehow resurrected and tried to died again because she believes she's a mistake that shouldn't exist? Well now he will stop that and try to make her feel better until she doesn't feel so bad.

As long as Junko keeps being Junko Makoto will be Makoto with additional spite fuel.

mukuro dating the ultimate hunter

pairing: mukuro ikusaba x gn!reader

tags: rivals (to friends) to lovers, power couple, ultimate hunter!reader, wholesome fluff, training together, mutual interests

your ultimate talent seemed to be quite similar to mukuro's and it often happened that the two of you got mistaken for one another

even before you two met for the first time, you already knew of each other and had gotten tired of being mistaken for the other

so when you finally met for the first time, there already were some negative feelings towards each other, as each of you wanted to stand above the other and show their peers what made them so much better

quickly, the two of you became rivals, always trying to one-up each other, which wasn't very hard, as your skill sets overlapped so much!

but ultimately, the things you had in common were also what brought the two of you together, as nobody knew as much about weapons and hunting down prey as the other

slowly, your rivalry turned into a friendship, which then turned into a relationship

from that point on, people didn't mistake you for each other anymore, as you were now a duo, who were always seen together during work

while your ultimate talent wasn't the same, it was similar enough that you could always train together and even take on jobs together!

yet despite always being together, mukuro and you never got sick of each other! if anything, working closely together like this only made your bond stronger!

As much as I like Danganronpa 3 the anime, the notion that the killing game was designed to break Ryota just felt incorrect.

You know who the killing game broke down? Munakata and Makoto.

And that's by design with the killing of Chisa, Juzo's betrayal. Kyoko's condition, the way the game was set up with everyone thinking Makoto was the traitor.

Ryota was just there in the background, none of the attacks were aimed at him.

He broke at the end but I'd argue none of what happened to him in the game comes close to Munakata and Makoto.

Ryota designed the videos and Makoto watched them and tried to kill himself.

It's not the same.

And I'm not saying Ryota doesn't suffer but his suffering is outside the game rather than in it.

Making him the subject of it even with his past didn't make sense because it never felt like he was being targeted the same way Munakata and Makoto were.
