columbo is. well he’s wearing Peter Falk’s own rumpled clothes, which get insulted at least every other episode. im unclear whether he has a first name other than “lieutenant.” he talks a lot about his wife and family but we never see them and it is unclear if he even has friends, just a bunch of service workers and job-related contacts who adore him. he takes women very seriously and treats them with kindness, more so than any other man on the show. he appears out of nowhere when you least expect him. and well no wonder he is wearing a tan trenchcoat he is so Cas to me

I find my reaction to depictions of Mrs Columbo (the show or fanart etc) to be really funny. Something deep in my heart has known that you shouldn't see her since I was very little and my grandma first showed me an episode. I get this visceral emotional response as though I have just laid my eyes upon a graven image or something.

I have a weapon!!” But this doctor show is Special. It’s based on the work and character of neurologist Oliver Sacks, who i’ve been fascinated by since doing the opera adaption of The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat in college (brag). It’s kinda like if House had old school Quantum Leap levels of empathy and 🏳️‍🌈

This episode has become a truly iconic for me. I watched it for the first time last summer, after I saw a post with almost a same link in a blog that I found around the same time. @andys-whatever, hey, it was your link and I'm lucky that I found it!
