Chapter 5!

Hardest scene to write

Reader's breakdown and relapse to her old ways. It was hard to write her lose control of what she was doing, and how she was throwing away all the progress she made in just a few paragraphs. It was hard.

Favorite character to write in the fic

Billy. I absolutely loved putting Billy in this fic, he was cheeky, and I always love when there's one person that just knows what's going on from the very beginning.

Why I chose that title

I honestly was just listening to music while writing another fic of mine, and Do I wanna Know started blasting and the image of just Eddie Munson walking in to the beat on the stage of a strip club came up. Then it was a matter of would it work to identify the feelings he might have in the middle of the fic, and it did. The title overall is about Eddie, not reader.

getting emotional over footage of an amateur scuba diver interacting with a coelacanth. they are hunted by large deepwater predators, and here comes a large creature bearing the brightest lights it's ever seen, making strange noises, but it does not shy away. it hovers, calmly, as the diver reaches out and trails a hand down its back. im strongly against the anthropomorphizing of real life animals but the stupid emotional part of me loudly insists this is because it recognizes us, the alternating movements of its four paired limbs matching the diver's four paired limbs, & it is thinking, "hello, cousins, we missed you these 66 million years, it's so good to see you again. welcome back, welcome home."
