so i figured since i finally own it, i'd do a little review for revlon's new line of foundations, nearly naked!!
i got mine in the color shell, the second shade in the red-toned selection, at walmart for around $8 (for 1 fl. oz. of product). the product comes in a non-pump glass bottle which is pretty much the only downside. i hate those fucking bottles. you really only need about a dime-sized amount for pretty good coverage but with those fucking bottles you inevitably end up slopping out a bucketful of product. which is lame. because this product is gold and wasting it like that makes me sad.
the foundation itself is a pretty viscous liquid with good pigmentation and - the advertisement says - buildable coverage. the finish is (very) matte.
i found i didn't really need to build the coverage except in a few of my really red problem areas; i have mild rosacea all over my face as well as some pretty dark (cherry red!) surface acne scars. okay, i just kind of have shitty skin in general. so my only having to put one layer of this on my face is a win.
i've heard people saying that nearly naked is a pretty close dupe for make up for ever's mat velvet+ foundation, which i own and would marry if it were not morally questionable. i have to say this product is definitely a very good dupe for the finish and feel of mat velvet+. it might even be MORE matte than mat velvet+ (v. good). for reference, here's a picture of me wearing mat velvet+ in shade 20:

of course, the shade i have of mat velvet is obviously a little lighter than the shade i have of revlon's nearly naked but the finish is virtually the same, and i'm amazed by that. i had a $30 gift card for sephora when i bought mat velvet and i STILL paid more for mat velvet, plus tax, when i could have gotten very similar results from a drugstore foundation. i'm REALLY impressed, haha.
so if you don't feel like dropping $35+ on mat velvet revlon's nearly naked is a very good choice!

and heres occ's lip tar in strumpet up close. it is a BRIGHT-assed cooler-toned raspberryish pink. there are definitely gonna be some bleeding issues given the formula's consistency but that isn't anything a lip pencil or some primer couldn't fix. I REALLY LIKE IT. WOW I LIKE IT

i bought myself a (full-size ($24)(christ)) nars "pro-prime smudge-proof" eyeshadow base because i heard it helps with really oily eyelids and i was at my last resort
i've worn it underneath eyeshadow twice to test it out but of course both times there have been some extenuating circumstances in which i forgot i was actually testing it out
i'm hoping to give it a good unbiased test run later this week at work where i am usually sweating my butt off & once i have a really solid opinion of it i'll be filming a video review!! so watch out for that i guess.

i got some new pen eyeliner and falsies from target. the eyeliner isnt the easiest thing to work with but its cute i guess. ive conceded that the eyelash glue i have currently is a piece of shit, which is inexplicable being that its from japan, which is the Boy King of False Eyelashes. so it took more 6 tries to get the fucking things to stick. WHATEVER I LOOK CUTE ANYWAY

Thanks! Maybe I do it wrong entirely... I have to try not to blink when I first put it on, or I get little mascara dots near my eyebrows and little mascara dots under my eyes... I find the whole thing frustrating!
you honestly have to apply mascara with a pretty light hand. if you try to force the wand through the lashes you're only forcing the lashes onto your eyelids and your browbone, which would leave the mascara dots. it's okay to blink a little bit as long as you're not applying the mascara too hard, if that makes any sense?
