I've been feeling somewhat less than radiant in the face as of late, and I no longer splurge on professional peels via aesthetician (miss you, Giovanni!!), so with sale winds in my sails, it went full speed ahead into my cart.

So this two-parter was one of the better haul deals I've had lately, even though it's still not at the magical 50% off point. I'm realizing those kinds of deals are few and far between and require much more patience and willpower with regards to points and saving them up for more savings overall, and I'm just not sure I have that kind of wherewithal. 

Full disclosure, too: I've also been tracking my spending much more closely and in June I dropped almost $650 on beauty and skincare, up from $235 in May (and $0 in April). It's funny how easy it is to fall back into these buying habits, especially when encouraged by points, sales, deals, and also being easily swayed by targeted email marketing. So for July, it's back on the spend freeze again as I work on going through, cleaning out and being more thoughtful with my beauty stash overall.

blue lip products are of course pretty hit and miss bc it’s a tough pigment to formulate... the ones I’ve had any success with are OCC lip tar in shade “RX” (goes on smooth, dries down a Little, it comes with a brush but you’d probably want to use a lipliner too); Maybelline color sensational lipstick in shade 835 “sapphire siren” (perhaps closer to purple & does go on a bit thick and patchy); and smashbox liquid metal lipstick in the shade “iced out” (goes on sticky and Stays sticky—I think that’s what the post you mentioned was about—but it’s a very even and pretty colour)

I also at one point had a NYX liquid lipstick in blue that I ended up getting rid of—it was very streaky and low-coverage and I couldn’t get a decent result out of it.

Впервые про марку я узнала года два назад, тогда, кажется, ассортимент у них был скромный (палитры Lip Tar это не касается, она огромная). Сейчас OCC выпускают не только жидкие помады, но и «5-free» лаки для ногтей, глиттер, тон, синтетические кисти и ещё много всего нужного и классного. Но их стопроцентным хитом до сих пор остаётся Lip Tar, и о нём подробнее. 

Сразу оговорюсь, у меня старая версия продукта, которую можно отловить разве что на распродажах. Сейчас эта помад�� выходит в более привычном формате liquid lipstick. Возможно, OCC пошли на поводу у тренда, когда-то по сути его опередив. Или, например, данная упаковка казалась неудобной большинству покупателей. На моя взгляд (#ящетаю иными словами), так средство потеряло свою индивидуальность.

В старой версии набора идёт фирменная мини-кисть, которой наносится продукт. Для меня это как раз удобно, потому что я, например, сложные тёмные помады, выходя из дома, всё равно поправляю не из стика. Хозяйке на заметку: складная кисть, которая идёт в комплекте с тенями Illussion D’Ombre Chanel, отлично подходит для губ и совершенно бесполезна для глаз.

Итак, first impression. Помада очень пигментированная и жидкая. Родной кистью наносится легко, ровный контур прорисовывается без проблем.
