Overruled!
One of my white whales in gaming was Ace Attorney Investigations: Prosecutor's Gambit. Much like The Great Ace Attorney duology, for many years after it was released, there was no localisation. Some attributed it to the fact that the first Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth sold poorly. Others said it was due to the difficulties of translating the subject matter for a Western audience. Despite this, there was a fan translation of the game. One that was painstakingly cobbled together by those in the fandom.
While I never did play through the fan translated version (it involved far too much shady downloading of online ROMs), I did watch snippets of a playthrough.
Alas, watching a game isn't the same as playing it. At least, when it comes to me.
The joy I would have normally derived from playing through an Ace Attorney game simply wasn't there for me. Besides, I had so many other games I needed to get through. And, upon stumbling upon the Danganronpa series, I could have fun with solving murders in an entirely new setting! More than that, I could also be involved in hackney-styled trials, and where, after a case is solved, the punishment for said crime is DEATH! All in gory pink blood.
My love affair, of course, with the Danganronpa series will have to wait, however, for another post (when I play and finish Master Detective Archives: Rain Code. I will get there! Eventually!).
So, imagine my surprise that shortly upon releasing the Apollo Justice trilogy, CAPCOM announced the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection for release in 2024!
Although, I suppose I should not have been surprised. They DID release the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles only a few years back despite the fact many feared it would never come to the West.
It was with glee that I grabbed hold of the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection that I set about playing through it. I may have been behind on 2023 and 2024 game releases but Miles Edgeworth standalone games were a top priority! And even though I'd already played the first game in the collection, I would gladly do it again (Turnabout Ablaze notwithstanding)!
After all, given how I write up game impressions on the internet, it doesn't seem like proper journalism if I only play only one of the games.
The Ace Attorney Investigations games, as previously stated, stars Miles Edgeworth as the playable character. The first game sees the star prosecutor of Japanifornia getting involved in numerous murder cases in quick succession. The poor man is even knocked out a few times too. He's even falsely accused. Despite this, our favourite cravat-wearing-British-accented (and possibly gay or aroace) rival remains cool and calm in the face of danger (the only instance being when he was tied up during the kidnapping incident at Gatewater Land).
Many of the cases in the first game are quite quick, taking only a few hours to get through. And while each murder case Miles tangles with are intriguing in their own right (with some fairly strong writing in terms of characters and the build-up of deducing the murderer), there is also an overarching narrative of an international smuggling ring. One that Interpol is trying to track down, and which the whip-happy Franziska von Karma has been assigned (I honestly forget she's only 19 sometimes).
Speaking of which, I do like how Investigations provides some deeper insight in Franziska. As with many of the characters in the franchise, she has daddy issues. Something which is pointed out in Investigations 2 (honestly, the whole game that is Prosecutor's Gambit should be called Daddy Issues).
In the end, Miles, in the four days from his return trip overseas (which is a little absurd given the timeframe) manages to uncover the mastermind behind the smuggling ring. He also solves four murders, reunite with a young girl who used his cravat as a tissue seven years ago, and attend a Steel Samurai show at a foreign embassy!
Talk about a whirlwind number of days!
Of course, one does not simply talk about Investigations without complaining about the last episode: Turnabout Ablaze. Back in my younger days, playing it on the Nintendo DS, I remember being frustrated at how long this last case felt. Especially when Miles is able to quickly deduce Alba's involvement. But due to his status as ambassador and the rules around extraterritoriality, Miles and the team were hard-placed to have the ex-general arrested.
And I wasn't the only one! After discussing it with bleachpanda, even she had grown tired of the endless back and forth between Ambassador Alba and Miles. All the 'Hold It's' and interruptions from every single side character just to nail the man.
Still, I like to think it was all worth it in the end.
That said, I'm surprised people weren't arrested more and evidence scrounged up later. Especially in instances where there was sufficient suspicion cast on the likes of many of the murderers in the second game.
In contrast with the first Investigations, Prosecutor's Gambit was a much more personal case. No longer were Miles and the gang dealing with an international smuggling ring run by a foreign ambassador. True, there was Kay Faraday's backstory and trauma to dig through in the first game, but Prosecutor's Gambit also added further depth to Miles and his quest for the truth. The themes in Prosecutor's Gambit were far more complex and I loved the new additions to the cast including Judge Verity Gavelle and rookie prosecutor Eustace Winner.
What's more, Prosecutor's Gambit also showcased off the man Gregory Edgeworth was before his untimely death in the DL-6 incident.
Ever since the first game, we knew Miles had initially wanted to be a defence attorney, like his father before him. It was not until Gregory was killed in an elevator that he chose to become a prosecutor.
But who was Gregory Edgeworth?
Prosecutor's Gambit was able to showcase this and more as it delved into the final case Gregory was involved in before his untimely death. In so doing, it helped paint in the rough edges of who this pivotal figure was, the beliefs he carried, and how his legacy was continued by his son.
Gregory's relationship with Miles stood in stark contrast with that of Eustace and Excelsius. While a young Miles was never seen in the third case of the game, Gregory's thoughts were never far on his son (although, one did have to wonder who was looking after Miles while Gregory was investigating. Do NONE of these characters have loving mothers? I mean, who even knows what Phoenix's parents are like). Eustace, on the other hand, is considered an utter and complete failure by Excelsius, a controlling and abusive individual who has risen to the position of Chairman of the Committee for Prosecutorial Excellence.
It is shown in the game that Excelsius will do anything: manipulate evidence, 'disappear' inconvenient witnesses and people, and take advantage of the law simply to get ahead. His is the quintessential lawful evil.
When he is taken down in the fourth case of the game, before Eustace lands the finishing blow to him in the last case, it is oh so satisfying! Especially because it shows Eustace's own growth and ability to finally step out of his father's shadow and be his own person. More importantly, taking out Excelsius is like extracting the cancerous corruption sitting in the heart of the legal system.
However, despite the menacing nature of Excelsius, he is not the mastermind of the game. No. Rather that is Simeon Saint: victim and criminal in equal measure.
And this is why I like Prosecutor's Gambit so much.
The law is a necessary aspect of keeping society intact, and the people who comprise it, safe. But the law isn't perfect. People often fall through the gaps. High numbers of indigenous in custody, racial profiling of suspects, etc. Despite our best efforts, injustice remains in our world.
Worse, many people who were wronged, who were abused in the past, end up becoming abusers themselves. Thus, perpetuating an endless cycle of hurt and pain and trauma.
There are innumerous real world comparisons that could take the place of Simeon Saint. Heck, even Miles himself started off as an antagonist wholly focused on obtaining a 'guilty' verdict for any and all suspects regardless if they had committed the crime or not.
It is here where Prosecutor's Gambit shines as it casts a light on how legal systems can fail.
But, most importantly, it also sheds light on those very same servants of the law facing down the contradictions within the law itself and fixing them where possible. Humans err. As laws are written by humans, the next logical conclusion is that the law, too, can err.
By recognising where missteps have been taken, it is up to us, humans, to change the law and have it evolve with us. You see this all the time. Or, at least, you do in Western countries. New legislation is pushed through parliament quite regularly to reflect the changing landscape. Amendments and addendums are also added to clarify parts of legislation that may also be confusing.
Overall, while Ace Attorney Investigations Collection keeps the core gameplay loop very much the same, the few gimmicks that have been added (including Mind Chess and Little Thief simulations) help to bring a unique spin to the formula. As with most visual novels, however, it is the narrative and characters that shine in these games. And shine they did. From old staples like Larry to even new ones like Eustace and Verity.
In fact, I kinda want a new game starring Kay Faraday, if only for the developers to stretch their wings in an entirely new direction. Here's hoping there will be a few more games in the franchise!
And if not Kay, why not Athena? Or maybe a spinoff with Franziska?
As a side note, it felt so weird to have Shaun call Verity his mother given there's only a thirteen year age-gap. I mean, did she adopt him when she was fourteen? WHY DID THEY MAKE VERITY ONLY 26?!

hmm.. eccentric things
he just holds them dear, think it's in his blood
who knows if that's a good or bad thing
expressive
I think you'd have to be, blind, deaf, mute and impossibly stupid to miss his body language
or just a meanie(?)
regardless not emotionally verbal, or at least not often, or- as much as he should
but physically shows it
like..for example if he was in a crappy mood, you'd be able to tell, and he'd confirm if you asked
and with him being expressive i would think comes with..what's the word again..uh..

I also think not just gossip but she's like- she's a seer of light cmon-
she knows stuff
I think she may not look like it but she, is the ultimate yapper
and silly
silly Rose justice
shes a goofy goober too guys
there would be no way she's not
look at her friends
I think she'd like her hair to be pet sometimes
play with it gently, braid it for no reason
type of person I can see too sit with you on the porch as it rains
reminds me of mist and.. morning dew
chilly autumn mornings
where you can see your breath
shes one of them Halloween people
i just know she appreciates a crunchy leaf
*knits you this*
YOU SIZED OBVIOUSLY
also gloves
why not
stay warm
she'd want you too
she has dimples
both lil cheek dimples
I think she'd be someone to ponder her partner often
like, seeing a candle and going "oh perfect, you've found me here as well!" but she's in the middle of some store lol
or reading something, thinking about that phrase and linking it too you or something like that
something strangely meticulous
carefully, honestly, thought out.
shes the person too either meticulous take the time to paint her nails right
or paint them all fucked up, and then clean them up
leaning more towards the latter
am I saying that right?
she would smell like
mm, cold linen, and books, book smell
đ Jade Harelyđž

toothy smile
big toothy grin
I like to think she has braces
convincingly can bark and growl (before and after bec merge thingy)
probably got even more convincing dog bark talents
sit down with her and a good coloring book
entertainment for hours
she'd be up for most anything I bet
would possibly be bored laying around lounging
something tells me she'd have a thing with buttons
all shapes and sizes and materials
just- checks out as a Jade thing yknow
same with silly bands
somewhere there is glitter on this girl I'm convinced
maybe more earth glitter (dirt) than any other
but like, 𤡠I dunno man
can I pet dat dawg?
yes, pet the dog, dog longs for human contact
scratch that
contact
overall
shes just lonely, forgive her lack of "norm" social skills
brotha grew up on a damn island, with her dog, and stuffed grandpa
stuffed grandpa
I'd be a lil weirdo too
anon, I'm gonna tell you this now..
I've never read the books all the way threw, and I own 3 out of idk how many
so forgive me if this...- out of character

âď¸Dave Striderđ
uughhh what haven't I said about this dude
hmm
I'm trying to remember what I wrote before tumblr rudely disrupted my wrighting and made me go back to the beginning
well let's see
eotushuf
here me out
this but on him
and it's soft blonde and and
there's spots that are missing from scars
and they go down to his hand,, and fingers
the hair on the side of the hand, you know what I mean
also has missing little patches
broad..finge nail
chews his nails
hhe.. uu h out of all of the four, probably the best to lounge around with
laying around
what's the word
parallel play?
being able to comfortably do yalls own thing in the same place
without a lot of talking
rhhrrgg
hes the type of person to 100% do the three hand squeeze thing
iykyk... (squeezing someone's hand to wordlessly say, "I love you")
and if you respond verbally, or even just squeezing back
he'll face away and do it back again
epitome of "putting on sunglasses so no one knows what I'm looking at"
you at you
he has..like stupid peripheral vision and uses it to advantage
I cannot say why but, he definitely has funky cool ties
just does i feel it
also, crackley
cracking his knuckles, his neck, back
when he stands it's like fine machinery sounding
clicking and popping in knees and hips
blonde
...eyelashes..
rough palms and scar knuckles
he smells like- a well slept on pillow ina good way- and also maybe
faintly of apple juice, carton apple juice..
guys this is buns, I'm so sorry truly, I'm also..so sleepy..đ
anon i hope this was right, and..to your request, I hope u have a good day (*^â˝^)/â

âI can understand why Wright would feel upset about the article, but â and I say this as a gay woman â I take umbrage with the idea that it is upsetting to see a public personâs sexuality being discussed in 2024. I mean, come on now: celebrities have their sexuality discussed all the time. Newsflash: talking about a celebrity dating someone of the opposite sex is discussing a public personâs sexuality.
It is unfortunate, I think, that Wrightâs criticism accidentally plays into homophobic ideas that only queer people have sexualities while heterosexual love lives are just the default. And quite a lot of the outrage over the Times piece, I should note, does seem to be tinged with homophobia. Certainly all the outraged op-eds in the likes of the New York Post seem disgusted with the very idea that anyone might suspect Swift to be gay. âWhatâs so wrong about her being a straight white woman who makes great music?â an irate Post article demanded.
Iâm not entirely sure what Marks set out to achieve with her piece (which, again, was ill-advised), but I do think she has achieved something. She has shown us that the entertainment industry is perfectly fine with its biggest stars flirting with LGBTQ+ imagery. Itâs fine with its biggest stars draping themselves in rainbow flags and making statements about allyship. Dare to suggest that those stars might actually be gay, though, and youâll see quite a lot of old-fashioned homophobia coming out.â

Thoughts about Klavier and Apollo's respective relationship with Kristoph and how it could (and should) have had much more impact on both of them after his trial(s):
I see in some klapollo fic that the two of them tend to share a more or less strong connexion over the fact that they both knew Kristoph on a personnal and professionnal level. To make it short they both looked up to Kristoph, as a boss and as an older brother, and, I cannot stress this enough, the betrayal and the heartbreak they should have felt knowing he was a murderer and a manipulator was definetly skipped, even ignored in the games (the most we got as in-game evidence of Kristoph's influence was Apollo paraphrasing him in Dual Destinies, and that is NOTHING compared to what it could have been). So I'm going to make it up to you all with this analysis of their respective relationships with him.
Starting with Apollo. First all you need to know before we start looking at what kind of relationship he had with his mentor, is that Apollo definetly doesn't have a high self-esteem and that that is something that can easily be played with.
Kristoph definetly had some kind of impact on Apollo, that just makes sense given he literally taught him how to be a defense attorney, but the thing is that Kristoph is a manipulator (and a damn competent one at that, we'll go back to that) and if he hadn't been sent to prison who knows what he could have done of our beloved Apollo ? Kristoph is the kind of manipulator that breaks people, the way he did with Phoenix.
Personally i think it's very unlikely that Kristoph was planning to make Apollo do any really traumatizing things, but in Apollo's place i couldn't help but wonder "what if i had ended up like him?" And THAT is what we could have gotten in the games, because paraphrasing Kristoph with a good old "Evidence is everything" is not enough to show how much he could have changed Apollo if he had been given the chance.
And finally, Apollo spent probably a lot of time with Kristoph, learning from him and looking up to him. Kristoph likes to seem friendly and approachable so that people can trust him and that definetly worked on Apollo aswell, so the betrayal he must have felt when he found out Kristoph to be such a horrible person, the heartbreak that his mentor was nothing more than a liar, it must have been unbearable (AND THE GAMES DON'T DIVE DEEP ENOUGH INTO APOLLO'S EMOTIONS GODDAMMIT).
But whatever Apollo felt after that revelation can in no way compare to what Klavier felt.
Get this, Klavier and Kristoph are brothers, meaning they definetly spent most of their childhood together. They lived in the same house, they probably went to the same school and they spent loads of time together. Klavier definetly loved his brother, he trusted him and admired him the way one admires their older siblings, and he learned he had been manipulated by him. Klavier was used by his brother in order to get Phoenix Wright disbarred and then 7 years later he was framed as a murderer. I also saw mentioned somewhere that Kristoph had the false evidence ready before Phoenix took his place at the Gramarye trial which very much implies that Kristoph was planning to CHEAT in order to beat Klavier during his first trial, that just feels so so fucked up. It's hard to really know for sure if Kristoph actually cared about Klavier but planning to cheat in order to show his little brother that he's just better than him is a good indicator as to what Kristoph thought of Klavier.
In the games, Klavier is never, ever, shown to be affected by Kristoph's actions and that is such a missed opportunity. Sure, the games aren't about him, but still, even just a simple "how are you feeling after all of that ?" Would've already been a little bit better than just forgetting about Klavier's emotions I believe.
Finally, just a little thought but how do you think Klavier feels when he realises how much he looks like his brother ? Somewhere during the 7 year gap he even started styling his hair like Kristoph, do you think it was because he admired him so much he wanted to look like him ? Or maybe to feel closer to his brother ? Why, god, why didn't he change his hairstyle in Dual Destinies ? Was it because he's just still too attached to his brother to let go of the memory of him ? Was it out of spite, to show Kristoph he could cope with the resemblance he shares with his him ?
That's all I got on that subject, that was a long one but god I needed to get all of this down because it just felt so unfair for Apollo and Klavier to be treated like that đ

Blog Post #5
How do you think race is different online compared to real life?
Race is different online because people think there are no consequences and feel invincible since it is online. There are many instances online where racism is promoted and laughed at since it is online they feel like it's not a big deal but it does affect people negatively.Â
How does the term referring to Asians contribute to racism in media?
It contributes to racism in the media because it shows the promotion of a racist term as the title of a video game. In â The Revenge of the Yellow-faced Terminatorâ, it states, "a game that is patently offensive in its racial humor and, even worse, shows great ignorance about its very own subject matter: East Asia and ninjas" (221). Proud of its ability to ignite conflict, 3D Realms continued to promote its racist and sexist agendasâ (Pg.4). This shows that even the creators of the game did not realize even the name itself was contributing to racism. They still decided to promote it even with backlash.
How does a merit system relate to real life?
The episode of Black Mirror titled âNosediveâ shows the usage of this merit system which rates people based on interactions. It shows how your rating in society dictates your life. Compared to real life where we show our personalities through social media. If you have a good presence on social media people will like you, if you are more of a bad presence people will hate on you. An actual example can include apps like Uber and Doordash, where their ratings are vital to their success. If they get a 1 star it affects how people view them as opposed to someone who has 5 stars.
How does cultural racism show up in video games?
Cultural racism is shown through many video games. As I talked about earlier video game creators often promote and intentionally show racist and sexist things in the game. A good example is GTA the video game where they show racist and sexist scenes, often disguised as banter and this is a game that has been bought by millions and millions of people. In those games, they often amplify stereotypes and when millions of people are tuned in to play especially kids this will start to affect their brain and how they see the world.

The umbrella academy- s4, ep5 (I think) spoilers. (Sorry if this is a bit wordy)
Now that I've had some time to think about it, I feel like they chould have depicted 5 as having a more distressing reaction to being stuck in the train station/not being able to go back to his family. It has been a while since I've seen the other seasons but I remember there being a thing of 5 having ptsd from being stuck in that waste land for like 70 something years I think. I feel like him being stuck with Lila would have been a prime situation where it could have been shown how his ptsd has stayed with him. I know not showing 5s ptsd as much as they could have has been a present critique of the show (and is one I do agree with) but I feel like this stands even more in this situation as in some ways it is a repeat of what he had went through.
I do not have ptsd myself and i do think i could be more knowledgeable about it. But from what understanding of how ptsd manifests in people's lives i do have, I feel like things should have maybe worked out differently.
Add on: I had not put this previously but I think it's worth saying that if you are someone who does have ptsd and has an opinion on this you'd like to share, I'd be more than interested in hearing your outlook on this. Like I said I do not have ptsd myself so I think it is much more important to read about this from the perspectives of people who do. Whether you agree with my previous wrightings or not I think it is better to get insight on this from people with ptsd.
(Sorry if there are any misspellings)

anonymous sent . . . I remember one of the girls I used to be friends with in high school kept mercilessly hating on Jin Kazama and she always called him "selfish", "war criminal", and "autistic n*zi". She was an insane Ragna the Bloodedge and Sasuke Uchiha fangirl who got pissy that someone on twitter/reddit/youtube dare compare two characters she loves to a character she hates. She one day went on a tangent saying something like "Sasuke Uchiha deserves better than being compared to Jin!!! Sasuke risked his life to save Naruto's ass in the Land of Waves arc, Sasuke only killed like what 3 people (danzo, orochimaru and deidara are bad ppl anyways), and Sasuke loves his beloved Uchiha family and wants to avenge them. Jin is a selfish sociopath who wants to kill his entire bloodline because of 2 people and he showed no remorse for killing Jinpachi and millions of people!!! Jin doesn't give a shit about Hwoarang, he would let Hwoarang die like how he left Hwoarang to rot after Hwoarang risked his life to save him in Tekken 7!! Jin never suffered in life as much as Sasuke, Jin got to live a normal childhood with his mom for 15 years, got to live in some fancy rich ass mansion with his grandpa, and his mom was actually alive all along and came back anyways!! Sasuke was a child abuse victim who was tortured by his older brother when he was only 7 years old, lived life alone in an abandoned home where his parents died, and Sasuke's dead Uchiha clan never got revived they're still dead. Ragna erased himself from existence to protect those he loves and give humanity a good future!!! Ragna should not compared to Jin either!!". She fucking drew poorly drawn fanart of Sasuke decapitating Jin Mortal Kombat fatality style, and then making out with Kazuya in front of Jin's corpse. Don't worry, I'm no longer friends with her. Sadly this girl and other ppl hating on him saying "haha emo edgelored"/"war" jokes for the billionth time gave me very negative first impressions of Jin back then. Now after I finally started getting into Tekken playing Tekken 8 and the older games like Tekken 2, 3, 4, and 5 and learning that it's Harada's fault for fucking up his character in Tekken 6 to prop up Lars and Jin was OOC in that game compared to his character depiction in previous games - he's now my second favorite character in Tekken behind Lili. It pisses me off too, he's not selfish because he saved Hwoarang in Tekken 4 and he is shown to be supportive of people (supportive of Xiaoyu in her Tekken 4 ending, and he's also supportive of Phoenix Wright in Project X Zone 2).
Honestly hearing stories like this makes me glad I was homeschooled lol. Like OKAY I def knew ppl like this as a teenager, but only online, through the interwebs!! I've been blessed to have never known other teens like this irl LOL. And honestly, maybe it's just me but... I never get viciously hating FICTIONAL CHARACTERS to the point of drawing hate art of it or whatnot. Or to those nasty rpers who will actually follow the character they hate, just to have their muse be cruel to that character or even kill 'em or whatever. It's just... I can't imagine doing it! I don't think I have any characters in mind that I legit hate. Not even the bad ones that I don't like. I just don't like them and that's it lol. And I know these were high schoolers, but like... I don't even remember being like that during my teen years either. I might've been a lil like that as a kid as I was more annoying as a child (we all were lol) but... I still don't really remember haha.
Also Jin didn't want to kill his ENTIRE bloodline lol. Like iirc, even in 6, I don't think he's ever tried to seriously kill Lars? (Could be wrong about that I legit don't remember lol lol) Like Jin wanted to kill Heihachi and Kazuya because at the time, he legit thought they were the ONLY ones of the bloodline (along with himself) and well... they were time proven to be EVIL, therefore... yes, Jin was right, his entire bloodline (except for himself) was evil at the time lol. That was before Jinpachi and Lars were properly introduced in the series.
AND LIKE. LIKE. Some ppl do talk about how it's weird that Jin never showed remorse for killing Jinpachi but LIKE. I am pretty sure it's CANON that JINPACHI IS GRATEFUL TO JIN. Much like how Jin wanted to kill himself in TK4 to stop his Devil from taking over, Jinpachi wanted to be killed to stop the monster / demon possessing him from destroying the world. Like canonically, it was something both Jin and Jinpachi knew had to happen.
I get tired of those acting like Jin never "suffered." It's like yeah, Jin DID have a good childhood up until he was 15 years old. Jin still spend most of his teen years being abused by an old wrinkly fuck, only to be killed by said old wrinkly fuck. Of course, the stupid game's writing did ruin a lot of Jin's suffering. (His mother isn't actually dead, so like... yeah. But I guess he still grieved her and she's been missing for years. His devil isn't actually bad so he was rejecting something that was actually beneficial LOL LOL LOL) But... that's just Tek writing for you. If we forget a lot of the stupid retcons, we can say Jin had a good amount of suffering. HELL, he was created TO BE a tragic hero.
I'm not gonna go on to explain, but I have stated on this blog many reasons why the "Jin is selfish / doesn't care about anyone" has always been a misconception, even prior to Tekken 8 where he gets a lotta friend buddies. But I am glad he's one of your favorites lol. Really, I feel like MORE people would love Jin if they actually looked at him with critical thinking, rather than just... accept the rancid writing of Tek6 and be like "yup, he's a bad character!" Like Jin's a REALLY damn good character prior to Tek6. And when ppl actually look back on those games, play his stories, really pay attention to his character, they would know that.

Okay so considering the end of Il Siracusano, I wanted to put together a list of floating plot threads that might lead to future events, just to get my brain in order. This will be a list of the events and characters involved, as well as a general summary of where things are in these plots in Global.
So, we have:
(Minor spoilers for a lot of Global under the cut, but specifically for some bits at the end of Il Siracusano)
- The main story, obviously, counting both Reunion and Dublinn/Kazdel stuff, as well as stuff like What the Firelight Casts and Vigilo. Not sure how relevant this will be to future side events because itâs already the main plot, but who knows.
- The Feranmut plotline, encompassing Ancient Forge(?)/Who is Real/Invitation to Wine/Where Vernal Winds will Never Blow, featuring Nian/Dusk/Ling/Chong Yue. Updated pretty regularly as the CN new year event. Havenât been keeping up with this one so I canât say where we are rn but weâre about to get Vernal Winds anyway so it doesnât matter much. The short overview is that Yan used to be populated by godlike beings called Feranmuts. Feranmuts fought a war with people, which concluded when a Feranmut named Sui betrayed his people out of a selfish desire to be the only being with the kind of power that Feranmuts possess. When he was discovered, the emperor of Yan (China analogue) split him into 12 fragments which eventually developed their own identities and personalities - these are the Sui siblings, i.e. Nian, Dusk, Ling, Chong Yue, etc. Once all twelve of these siblings meet again, they will reform back into Sui and he will be reborn, and probably take over the world. As such, the current goal is to find a way to prevent the siblings from all waking up and getting back together, and hopefully finding a larger way to prevent Suiâs resurrection.
- Abyssal Hunters and Seaborn, with Grani and the Knightâs Treasure/Under Tides/Stultifera Navis/Mizuki and Caerula Arbor, featuring Skadi/Specter/Gladiia/Kalâtsit. Was updated pretty frequently as an anniversary event, but they seem to have thrown us a big lore dump with Caerula Arbor and left it at that for the time being, which is understandable. The state of the plot at the moment is the Abyssal hunters we have are back together, Specter is back to her old self, theyâve met Ulpian and established an uneasy truce with the Iberian (Spanish analogue) Inquisition, and weâre starting to understand just what Ishar-mla is. Iirc the alternate timelines we see in IS3 are actually shown to the Doctor by Mizuki, so that may play into future events as well.
- Kazimierz, with Maria Nearl/Pinus Sylvestris/Near Light/Obscure Wanderer, featuring Blemishine/Zofia/Nearl/The Followers/Flametail/Ashlock/Fartooth/Wildmane/Justice Knight my beloved/MĹynar. This kinda shouldnât be on this list, because itâs mostly wrapped up, and I donât expect any more Kazimeirz events for a while. Itâs still probably important to summarize though so: Margaret Nearl won the 24th Major and became the Grand Knight, and has since stayed in Kazimierz (Poland analogue) to improve living conditions for the infected and push back against the General Chamber of Commerce. The Armorless Union has mostly been decapitated - the Platinum defected, the Lazurites have disappeared and taken on new identities, and the Darksteel has promised to stay away from Margaret and Rhodes Island. Pinus Sylvestris and most of the rest of the Nearls are now on the landship, working for Rhodes Island.
- Rhine Lab, with Mansfield Break/Dorothyâs Vision/Lonetrail/the second Records of Originium comic (which has an official translation that you absolutely should read itâs really good), featuring Silence/Ptilopsis/Saria/Ifrit/Dorothy/Mulesyse/Hoâolheyak/Kirsten. This is one of the newer plotlines, and my personal favorite. Kirsten Wright, founder and head of Rhine lab, wants to go to space. Ever since her parents were killed in a plane crash, sheâs looked at the stars as a goal for humanity and a symbol of the power that science and technology can give us. Unfortunately, in pursuit of that power, she believes the end justifies any means, and the Colombian (America analogue) military-industrial complex definitely isnât helping things. Kirstenâs disregard of human rights has pushed away the people closest to her, most notably Saria, who left the company after discovering how Ifrit was abused. At the moment, the relationship between Rhodes Island and Rhine Lab is becoming more adversarial because we keep poaching their directors when they see the horrific human rights abuses that theyâve committed. Saria left after the DiÎąbolic incident, Dorothy left after site 359, and now the Doctor even has Mulesyse thinking about leaving. In addition to that, Saria has finally confronted Kristen and told her in no uncertain terms that she is done working with Rhine lab, which Kristen previously hadnât fully accepted. Unfortunately, all this has only served to drive her deeper into âthe ends justify the meansâ - rather than accept that she might have been wrong, sheâs doubled down on the idea that if she can just achieve her goal and make it to space, theyâll all see how right she was and come back.
- Wolf Fangs, with some hints in the earlier chapters of the main story and being explicitly confirmed in Il Siracusano, featuring Texas/Lapland/Projekt Red/Lunacub. This is the newest of these plots, set up in Il Siracusano and presumably proceeding from there. The Feraerus are supernatural talking animals that weâve encountered a couple of times throughout the story, like the High Priest or the Emperor. They are connected with the land and are almost akin to guardians of it. They donât need Originium for their magic, and are tied to the setting in ways we donât quite understand yet. More importantly to us, though, theyâre involved in their own power struggles and contests among each other. This underscored the drama in Il Siracusano - the whole Bellone family was propped up by the wolf Feraerus Zarro as part of an ancient game in which the wolves pick champions, called Fangs, who fight each other in a Battle Royale to decide the packâs next alpha(debunked study, I know, just roll with it). We know a couple of the fangs - Lunacub is one and Bernardo was another before his death, but Projekt Red is also a Fang, as well as Crownslayerâs mentor, so weâll probably be coming back to this conflict in the future. Judging by Bernardoâs story and Lunacubâs files, the implication is that a lot of this story is going to revolve around breaking free of these old traditions and systems.
- The Sami Icefields havenât technically gotten an event yet, besides that one story in Operational Intelligence, but Iâm including it as an honorable mention because it looks like weâre going there for IS4. The Icefields are up north of Ursus, and they are terrifying. You remember the Emperorâs Blade, the one that kicks your ass in WD-8? Yeah we only see three of them in the game because the rest are busy fighting against the Eldritch demons constantly invading from the Sami Icefields. Letâs please never go there ever, thanks.
Thatâs all I can think of in terms of plotlines as of Il Siracusano in AK Global. If thereâs anything I forgot or got wrong, tell me and Iâll add it in.

Will Wright was passionate about rallying and how it was shown in The Sims 2
While researching the development history of the original The Sims on TCRF, I came across a link to a fan site about Will Wright in the sources:
This is a very interesting site. There's a biography of him. And one of the chapters describes that Will Wright was into rallying and even participated in one of them:
https://web.archive.org/web/20200119021426/http://will-wright.com/willshistory1.php
Will Wright also used to be into Rally, before he was into computers. "It's very small in the States. The American version of Rally was in fact a little more hardcore than the European. It wasn't as competitive but they didn't allow pace notes and so when you're going down the road you don't know what's around the corner. I still love following the WRC".
He plotted a route through the southern states that was hundreds of miles longer than the more popular path. It avoided the northern roads likely to attract more contestants and police. He and a partner, the race organizer, zoomed across the country in a Mazda RX-7 outfitted with a souped-up engine, a roll cage, an extra fuel tank, a night-vision scope, two police radar detectors and a prototype of a radar jammer. The team got one speeding ticket near Indianapolis and Mr. Wright talked his way out of two others, once by pretending to be a lost local resident and once he convinced an Indiana state trooper he was a writer for an automobile magazine test-driving a car when he was pulled over for doing 104 mph.He actually won that race with a time of 33 hours, 39 minutes.".
How it was shown in The Sims 2?
And this hobby of Will Wright was shown in the game. For example, in the form of this collection of objects:
And the tire table was posted by EA for the download as far back as the turn of 2004-2005. But there's also the sports car from the base game.
It was supposed to be an aspiration reward. But it was also, at the same time, a CAREER reward for the career of a "car racer", the costumes for which are available in the base game.
But it's not that simple. After digging around in the car code, at the level of, I must say, my shabby knowledge, I came to the conclusion that there should be two career rewards for each career. The first is something given out at early career levels, like a punching bag, purely to pump up skills faster. But the SECOND award should have been... cars - and not at all "decorative" or working as a "personal cab", aka house - community lot - other community lot - house with the additional option of going to visit other sims.
Suppose your sim works in the police. At the beginning of his career he can get a scanner, and at later stages he can get his own, real, personal police car. When he selects the "Drive to Work" option in this car, he will not go to the unknown, but, for example, to a community lot where thieves, robbers, pickpockets like the Unsavory Charlatan, drug dealers and pimps will show up. Sim can arrest all these criminals, take them to the police station, and interrogate them "with intensity".
Pretty cool, huh? About the AUTORACING... Take a look at this ancient "kind of mod"...
Swimming competition!!! (Note - part of it, namely the lane dividers in the pools, "went" to Nightlife EP). And the dog competitions are in The Sims Pet Stories! On that basis, then why wouldn't there be car racing in the game as well? Especially since the motion animation is in Nightlife EP.
But everything is not so simple with the racers. Something is missing... Maybe THIS... (helmet)
Please pay attention to this creator's work in general. If it is something from the game, you get a "good and quality" thing. However, when you start to "unselect", there are problems with textures and with a lot of polygons, which leads to a bad result.
Link to the content:
I also noticed that the helmets matched the colors of the suits. So there had to be a green suit, a yellow suit, and a pink suit.
ĐĐ° ŃŃŃŃкОП ŃСŃко (and how to make races suits available in sport category of clothes):

Criminal Justice (2007)- Episodes 1-5. Watching Con O'Neill's old stuff cause it's fun. Day #? RALPH STONE!
Warnings: Murder. Blood. Drug Use. Needle Use/Injection is shown on the scene. Drunk driving. Accused/discussed sexual assault. Abusive parents, grief, and general bullshit in the justice system.
Should you watch this if you haven't: YES! Five episodes, each being an hour, but if you don't have any issues with the warning, it should be a fun time. I was on the edge of my seat for most of this show and Con is a very important character! He is on screen more than most of his other tv parts and is having a great time. It's a story about one defendant and the shit that goes down as he's tried for the crime.
Special thanks to:
@dianetastesmetal who I chatted with around midway through about the show! (For me it was ~2 in the morning, so it was a whole lot of fun!)
The Usual Suspects! I would love to hear your thoughts about this show down alone! I want to thank all of you for following me and giving me love. Y'all are enabling my current fixation, and I thank you all! If you haven't seen it, just ignore me <3
@sphealybojeely @thedowneyheart @kimpreg @gydima @ivegotnonameidea @treesofgreen @tummy-stab-wounds @mossiestpiglet @sidewalk-scrawls @crybabyclover @
Criminal Justice- EP 1 (Guest starring my brother)
Why does that kid look like Benedict Cumberbatch?
He just needs a haircut. That hair looks awful.
This takes place in 2008 right?Â
Why didn't the dad knock?
He's going to go have sex, huh, he's not going to his friend's house.Â
Is he going to abuse his position here? Pretend he's a cab driver?
I feel like cab drivers are trained to drop a rando with no destination to a hospital or a police station.Â
Also, a situation that's only playful because it's a young woman. If this were a homeless person? This shit isn't flying.Â
DON'T SHARE YOUR FUCKING DRINKS WITH A STRANGER??!?!?!
I got to inform my brother that in England they call soft-served ice cream 'whippies' after the popular brand 'Mr. Whippy', to which he just said 'it's a clown land'
DRUGS! Here we go!
This is suspicious as fuck. Don't take her booze! She's a chick you just met!Â
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING
NOOOO! NO. NO. NO. KNIFE GAME IS TAPPING, NOT FUCKING STABBING! WTF!Â
Society would be a lot further on if we just stopped caring about peer pressure.
WHAT? HE STABBED HER!?!?!?!?!? WHY ARE THEY FUCKING?Â
We have seen so much of this man's ass, why?Â
We are 12 minutes in?
Oh. She's dead. She's so dead.Â
OH SHIT. Yep thats a stabbing
Brother guesses it was the parent, I say ex lover.
God, he's just bad at this
BRO WENT BACK AND NOW HAS A WITNESS?????
This is an actual ACE ATTORNEY CASE WTF
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. HE THEN CRASHES THE CAR? ACE ATTORNEY LEVELS OF DUMB!
Bro, is this your first break in?
Ohhh he's fucked.Â
Ohhhhh, this is the cops best day of his life
Oh, good luck defense attorney Con. You better get Phoenix Wright levels of bullshit.Â
Oh my god, don't fucking fight the cops.Â
Bro, take a nap. It's been a long night.Â
OH MY GOD IT'S HIM.Â
Hello Con! Lovely to see you. Love the rat man fit. I know it's on purpose, but damn. He looks wet.
This is where my brother bullies the shit out of Con.Â
OH I LOVE HIM-He's actually giving good legal advice! The cops are going to do whatever they can to get a false conviction.
'No comment man'- Hard nose solicitor I FUCKING LOVE IT
RALPH STONE! TROLLIN'. I love it. GOD I LOVE IT.
It's so much easier to be quiet when you're nervous.Â
Lessons to be learned from this tv show: Don't random desperate women, don't fall to peer pressure, don't say shit to the police.Â
They wouldn't have left her body there. They would have taken photos then taken the body out of the house asap. It's weird they've waited so long to investigate.Â
Solicitation of evidence. It's illegal to receive testimony from a private source without giving the evidence to opposing council.Â
Nice that she packed him a sandwich.Â
Why is the shitty cops boss so much taller? That's funny.Â
Whelp. RIP Ralph, you did all you could. Having the guy almost assault a police officer isn't fun.
OHHHHH!!!!!! RALPH I LOVE IT- GOOD GOD IS HE FUN
Oh this whole detective thing feels illegal. Without his attorney to represent him.
Yeah. Sure. Don't get buddy-buddy with the guy who wants to put you away for years. Â
IS THIS DETECTIVE A VILLAIN? Oh, he likes you? FUN.
They're in a public spot, there is no expectation for privacy and this can be recorded, HAHAHAHAHHAHA. GOOD, HE DIDN'T SAY SHIT.Â
It's 2007, a bit of weird transphobia was to expected.Â
UHHHHHâŚ.. I SWEAR TO GOD. DON'T SWAP ATTORNIES!
CLASSIST BRITISH PEOPLE AHHHHH-
OH I'D BE PISSED!!!!!! RALPH IS SO GOOD!!!!!
Oh good, Ralph corrected himself about his client's name and pronouns, nice.Â
Ralph at the end of ep 1-'I looked into his eyes, and we vibed. He can't be innocent'
AWWW RALPH STILL WANTS TO HELP HIM EVEN AFTER HE GOT SCREWED OVER BY HIS POSH LAWYERS! God, I love him.Â
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EPISODE 2: This is where my brother dipped out, but I summarized as much as I could for him.Â
I'm going to be honest I skipped through this ep a ton. I generally got the gyst. I'm here for my guy, you know.Â
I watched a bit, but this just establishes our protagonist's life in jail.Â
I skipped Ralph's scene/ the trial. Seriously the preview in ep 1 gives you the gist. Read a summary. Etc. His roomie is great. Â
AHHH RALPHS SMILE. "I don't care what you'd do as a lawyer, just as a human being" AHHH.Â
GOD HIS CELLMATE IS SO GOOD.
HAHHHAHHAHAHAHHAH! WTF?!?!?!??! Oh, poor ralph. You guy just blowing up in court.
At this point, if I was Ralph Stone, I wouldn't really believe him, but that's what that whole grin was for. He just knew our guy was innocent!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Episode 3
Oh good. Protag was able to deep throat the drugs.Â
Ralph! AHHH!! God, he has great outfits in this show.Â
WHY DOES RALPH HAVE A FOOT THING? I noticed it earlier, but why are we drawing attention to it.Â
Oh good, Ralph doesn't want to senselessly tarnish a dead girl's name. Nice.Â
THAT FACE! Uh, the reluctant face! Chewing on the lip!Â
Ralph!
Chewing on the lip! Love it.
Ohhh, god. Ralph's a good actor. That's cute.Â
OHH THE DETECTIVE ALSO BEING THERE! SHIT. RALPH RUN!
GOD HIM BEING VAGUE AS SHIT TO A WITNESS! I love it.Â
'With alpha brain?' What the fuck?
AHHH! I LOVE RALPH.Â
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. I got to see his chest :)
Oh, Ralph doesn't like this at all. But shit. Not much he can do.Â
Oh no. It's really not ethical. And this yonger lady is going to mess it up.Â
AHAHHAHAAAHAHAAA. THE WIGS!Â
Is this inadvertently informing the audience of how fucked the courts can be. Which is both good and bad. People deserve to know exactly what our lawyers know.  Â
RALPH BEING THE FUCKING SAD DOG MIDDLEMAN THAT NEEDS TO RUN BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM IS SO FUNNY.Â
Ralph with glasses gives me life.Â
OH SHIT THE FRIEND SHOWED UP?
Okay, this is fun. But maybe let's not make jokes in a murder trial?
I love the one juror struggling to stay awake. Showing that even with all these verbal chess, they still need to convince the jury.Â
Hey, babe. If you really fucking hate prison, maybe don't give a shit about how your mom reacts here!
Good on Ralph. Trying to speak up for her.Â
(Seeing RalphsâŚex? For the first time) Oh I love them. WHAT ARE THEY ON?
OH SHE MOVED ON, GOD HIS ACTING. A SECOND TO SEE THAT FULL FUCKING FACE JOURNEY!Â
Oh good. We can really hate the cops now. I mean, I already did. BUT.Â
OHHH DO THEY HAVE FOOTAGE.Â
OH, HE COMPLIMENTS RALPH WHEN IT LOOKS GOOD IN FRONT OF THE JURY.Â
God I hate her(lead defense lady), but this scene is fun.Â
RALPH IS HAVING SUCH A GOOD TIME. He's watching the divorced parents fight and he loves it. He should be allowed to smile.
Ha, she's sowing seeds of guilt but that's really not how the law works.Â
Ralph-'I told you not to talk two episodes ago, and you do it fucking now?!?!??!?!'
Is Ralph being kinda shitty? Yes. Is there any other option right now? Nope.Â
Them showing how mentally I'll people in prison are severely punished without being able to seek help is cool.Â
Back to court- OHHHH! SHIT. Yeah, digging at how the medical examiner is only going on prosecution for the state is suspicious as fuck.Â
FUCK. ASSHOLE DON'T SAY SHIT! DONT CONTRADICT THE DEFENSE!!!!!
SHIT
Ralph, mentally deciding if now is a good place to just call it a day when his client is just begging to go to jail.
OH ANOTHER FUCKING CON CHARACTER WHO FELL IN LOVE THE WRONG WAY!!?!?!?!??!?!!? Well, that fills out my bingo card. This makes maybe 20 characters. I swear to god, if he ends up sad and alone I will make a Con O'Neill drinking game.Â
"Are you calling me a hypocrite?" *Slight head tilt* -ME rolling on the floor laughing
Good on Ralph for staying with him though.Â
AWWW. Ralph's an asshole but this is one of the few cases that's gotten to him! I love it. :)
Aww, they are sweet as a couple, but he needs to reorient himself. Find his own center and work on not 'always looking for doubt' before moving on.Â
OH GOD! Don't fucking smile Con. It's mean. To me. Personally.Â
AHHH! HIS TICKS WHEN HE'S LYING! Okay, that's funny as shit. I love him.
It's good that the main defense younger lady and the defendant trust each other. AND CON'S GRIN!
Say what you will, this man loves his job
OH SO YOU'LL LET THE SENIOR DEFENSE CHAT AND BE EXTRA BUT NOT THE JUNIOR! RUDE!
OHHHH SHIT THEY GAVE HIM BACK (the inhaler) EVIDENCE
AHHHHHHH!H!H!H!H!HH!H!HH HE TOOK EVIDENCE BITCH! It proves that he stayed in her bed
RALPH SMILING AHHHH!H!H!H!H!H!HH!
Oh they're getting him addicted to drugs to keep him loyal. Whelp. That's going to ruin him.
EPISODE 4:
Why is Ralph going into his clients home?Â
Ralph(I'm paraphrasing)- Look, I'm a hard ass. I'm a dick who usually has guilty clients and does what he can to abuse loopholes and police mistakes to get them free. If I have a gut feeling, that really fucking matters. So I'm going to do what I can.Â
Yeah, the neighbor did it
OHHHH! SHE PULLED RANK ON RALPH AHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Stone is pissed, and doesn't want to freak out in court. OR HE'S GOING TO EXAMINE A WITNESS?
What act is he playing here? I love it. He's being a clever cheeky bastard. Knowing how people want to treat court like they're the important heros that can save the day! AHAHHAH! I love it.Â
"Are you the kind of person-"- SHUT THE FUCK UP-He's just trying to establish his character before crushing it.
OHHH THEY ARE ABUSING THE SHIT OUT OF HIS COYNESS AND NERVOUSNESS WHEN TALKING ABOUT SEX.Â
AND HE'S HIDING EVIDENCE
Ralph, I love you. Babe. This is the kind of trust in the justice system I need.Â
Another court scene goes by without note. But Ralph shows up? Oh boy, I'm typing.Â
OOOOHHHH RALPH GETS TO BE A DETECTIVE!
SCENE SKIP
WHY ARE THE CLIENT AND YONGER LADY DEFENSE ATTORNEY SMOOCHIN? EXCUSE ME? ISN'T THAT AGE GAP WEIRD??!?!?!??!?
Oh good. Ralph.Â
OH MY GOD HIM FUCKING SITTING ON THE TABLE? Me Moment. Queer? Coded. I'm assigning it to him. I'm giving him an honorary badge even though this is probably one of his straightest roles.Â
Ralph- "I like getting my clients off." YEAH so does she! *Ba Dumb Tisk*. See, Ralph is smart. Get entangled with others in the arm of the law, not your fucking client.Â
Scene passes without note. But a few prison scenes go by.Â
GLASSES!!!!!! Look at them! THE EXAMINER GENUINELY HELPED. I'd also be smiling at him like that.Â
Aww, Ralph's trying to ask without asking to hang out with a friend.Â
Skipped a bit. Back in court.Â
AWW Ralph and the yonger female defense attorney leaning together to chat.Â
BRO HE IS SO WHIPPED FOR THE EXAMINER! I LOVE THIS!!!!!
THAT FUCKING SMILE. GOOD FOR HIM! GOOD FOR HELLEN! I love that they're immediately like, yeah, this might be a conflict of witness BUT. She still has a point.
I WOULD BE SWAYED BY HIS CHARM! I HAVE BEEN SWAYED BY HIS CHARM.
DAMN. Good on the friend/witness.Â
Oh wow, the cellmate is just as shitty and corrupt as everyone else? I'm shocked.Â
I love Ralph trying his best here.Â
"You're 46 years old, what do you know about justice?" :0. WOW.
OH SHIT THIS MIGHT FUCK THIS ALL UP. CALLING IN THE DAD IF HE HAS AN ALIBI
OHHHH FUCK. RALPH IS A SECOND FROM STEPPING IN.Â
OHHHH FUCK. GOOD ON HER. CALL THE DAD OUT FOR BEING ABUSIVE.Â
FUCK if they pull her in the case is fucked.Â
YEP RALPH SEES IT! SHIT!!!!!!Â
EP 5:Â
JURY CONSIDERING VERDICT!Â
HI RALPH! LOVE YOU BABE!
Hour and a half deliberation is good!Â
Yeah, I should have seen that coming.Â
WHELP. SHIT.Â
He's going to kill himself within a year. Calling it now.Â
That moment when you work the same job as our prisoner protagonist đ. Hey, don't dis a dishwashing job, protag. It's nice and easy.
HI CON!Â
"'Self-deprecating jokes get you out of hard questions'- avoids the question by shoving toast in his mouth"-me. God, I was messaging @dianetastesmetal during this bit. Who pointed out how loving these characters is a form of self-love, and I will partially embrace it. Maybe I just want to see a man with a nice chest and a nice smile huh! ;)
Oh good, the protagonist is doing more drugs. Love that
GLASSES! I AM BACK ON MY WHORE SHIT.Â
The hugging of the book! THE GRINNING! AHH!
This is why Ralph is emotionally distant, 'cause he's lost good cases before. HAHAHAHHA HE CAN'T LET IT GO.Â
AHHHHH!H!H!H!HH!!HÂ THE TUFTED-UP HAIR ENTERING THE PRISON!
OH SHIT! RALPH INVESTIGATING THEIR RELATIONSHIP! He's asking the protagonist to sell out his legal advisor!Â
No, RALPH IS SO RIGHT! She abused her station and got too close.Â
Oh good. Another arm of the law is weird around police reports and evidence. Great. Â
AHHH! Her sewing that little tidbit in the cop's head! She's onto him!Â
Yeah, good on our protag to stand up for himself.Â
Cellmate is going to get killed cause he knew too much, huh.Â
Hey, good on the cop for looking into it a bit more. Still a jackass. But you know.Â
Skipped a few scenes without note.
OHHH SHIT HE FILED THE SUIT!!!!!!! GOOD ON RALPH! We love a man who cares about giving justice to his client.Â
'Frances- out for blood after Ralph is about to ruin her career'
'Ralph-Half passed out on a couch with a rag over his eyes, already done with this conversation. Ready to throw every insult she directed to him back into his face.'
Ralph knew to get romantically entangled with a medical examiner and not a fucking witness.
GET IT RALPH! God, good for him. SHE ABUSED HER POSITION! She took everything they worked for and threw it all away. She didn't let their client find justice.Â
Yeah, cellmate's about to die, huh.Â
OHHHH SHIT! GET IT!!!!!! Good on him! Yeah, he's going to get murdered, but good on him. MURDER THAT BASTARD!Â
OHHH SHIT. THE ASSHOLE COP HELPED THE MOB!Â
GOOD ON THE CHIEF FOR CALLING HIM OUT! DAMN!Â
Oh, wow. Ben's life is ruined. He's hooked on drugs, and he thinks he has no prospects in life.Â
Now he can't fall asleep without listening to the radio.
Hi Ralph. Why are we talking about your feet?Â
Frances is fucked essentially.Â
Yeah, going in for a mistrial was the right option.Â
Yeah, no. Nothing would have changed if Ben told Ralph the truth the moment they met. Good on Ralph! Giving our protag a bit of closure on this whole thing. Telling that none of this was really his fault. Â
Yep. He had his last few free years of youth ripped from him.Â
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Final thoughts:
I think the fact that this was a mob member being the real murder and that it was covered up was the real thing here. The entire point and moral the audience was meant to learn. It didn't matter if Ben had the best case, the entire Crown was against him. Ralph and his team could have been the best defense lawyers in the world and it still would have gotten buried. I'm happy the final evidence came out, obviously, but Ben was fucked over in so many ways. Now what life does he have? He lost his friends, his trust in his family, and is now destined to fall back into the system he knows. It's a shame.Â
Con: 11+/10. Long hair AND glasses AND he's Exhausted! Perfect role. I want him. I want to be him. He's divorced, and sad, and I love it.
Ralph saved this series for me personally. He was so much fun. I will be updating the Con list here soon to include bit TV roles. Ralph is going to be high on my ranking. We are given a Con character who has REAL impact on the story, introduces the audience to the rules of this world, AND GETS A HAPPY ENDING! It's brilliant. Obviously, there are moral issues to him being such a good defense attorney to allow criminals to get away, but this whole story was about giving Ralph a different perspective. He's a slime-ball but he's not totally against change. Willing to look at other perspectives. He started to genuinely care about his client, and didn't treat it as some weird game of chess. Him genuinely helping the younger defense attorney was nice, especially because he rarely blew up at her for her choices. He did his best to help where he could and didn't take things personally when shit blew up.Â
Con's acting here is so fun and fluid! I hate being a person that ties OFMD into everything, but this is kind of what I want Izzy to become. Con's allowed to be fun! He's allowed to be mad, suspicious, have doubt etc. There are a few scenes that got me chuckling just by his face! He feels really confident and comfortable in this role. He talks with his hands! He's a dick, a total slime-ball, but he really cares about getting things done right! I love it.Â
Everyone else: 8/10. Nothing really stood out besides our protagonist, and after a quick google, he won an award for this role. Which is deserved. He does great. I liked the characters the show wanted me to like, and vice versa.Â
Story 7/10: Intriguing. I had fun, but this show sits more in the turn off your brain and gets swept along by the bullshit, vs trying to solve it yourself.Â
Overall. 9/10: I highly recommend it if the tags don't worry you. Con is in this enough to justify a Con watch. I have a thing for Professor esk Con. I will not be ashamed about that. His whole speech about how he was perceived was nice. Now, this is about five hours of commitment, but If you need something longer I'd recommend it.

I finally watched Wakanda Forever.
My brain is all confused because I can't decide if I liked it or not.
I know I definitely enjoyed parts of it. And the grief shown for Chadwick/T'Challa's death was really powerful. The costumes were stunning. The music was great. The aesthetic was great, though some scenes were too dark and hard to see. I liked parts of the story and some of the themes.
It may sound silly, but... I really struggled with the winged feet.
Maybe they bothered me way more than they should have.
But they really bothered me.
My suspension of disbelief just couldn't get there. And the explanation of how Namor got those specific powers along with pointy ears just didn't make a lot of sense.
I think I just felt like the movie was inconsistent. The directing seemed almost amateurish in spots. Like, I couldn't believe they didn't use a better take in several scenes. There was this scene with Julia Louis Dreyfus and Martin Freeman where it felt like their performance kinda fizzled out and then the camera just lingered on them for a second and then they cut to something else. And it just felt like those two actors could have nailed that scene with another take or two.
Though I think I am holding it up to really high standards. And part of me feels like they should have recast T'Challa. I felt like Letitia Wright did the performance as a character actor in Black Panther and I'm not sure that transitions well into leading actor. Though it's possible my feelings about her real life opinions are affecting my judgment of her performance.
Like I said, I'm just really confused about how I feel about the movie.
I think I am going to watch it again to try and sort out my feelings.
It's possible I was just in a bad headspace when I watched it. I really loved Chadwick Boseman and perhaps my brain couldn't let me enjoy the film without him in it. I don't know.

i totally see that as well! the reason I say it's a guilty pleasure is bc I'm kinda thorn about it? while I like the hc because it adds a nice layer of personality to his denial (and maybe even some angst due to the more conservative nature), I also think that *gestures to your reply* so I have 2 different versions of him in my head
to be completely honest I first knew of this headcanon once I saw an artist's post about his view of kristoph and I went "nah" before a few days passed and I went "wait actually..."
that's very understandable!!! i'm the kind of guy who has multiple visions of basically anything when it comes to headcanons, but i stick with the ones that are most close to canon as my "main" ones (it's like a system in my head with folders and color coding). having different interpretations of a character is great either way: it helps you grasp the entirety of the character by breaking them into multiple parts and expanding those parts instead of performing that mental operation on the complete character. i hope that makes sense.
and god, the "wait actually" moment is so real about so many things. i change my mind and view all the time in general - i have been thinking about narumitsu a lot lately, and i used to be a "actually them getting before turnabout succession would be unhealthy" kinda guy, but now i'm seeing edgeworth in a different light and the seven year gap is something that changes their dynamic a lot in my head, positively.
sorry, anon, i'm going to use this ask to talk about that - first of all, they are just ... forced to be friends in that scenario? miles has to confront his "brilliant defense attorney who saved me" not exactly being that but still being the guy who adopted an abandoned girl and seeks the truth; phoenix has to chill out and realize a lot of things as well. in the trilogy, both wright and edgeworth are forced to represent bigger things by the narrative - one is hope, pure life-changing energy, a savior, refreshing and unstoppable, a defender and everything the defense can be; the other is punishment, guilt, black and white thinking (to be fair, so is wright), everything the prosecution can be. they are devices for the plot to send a message to the player, which is why their treatment of each other is taken to extremes (a normal person would NOT build their career for a guy they knew when they were nine, etc). but the seven year gap is not shown; it doesn't bring us a message and it also frees the characters of their roles, both in-game (defense attorney and prosecutor becomes friend and friend) and from an outside pov. it's fucking delightful, that's what it is. i think about the visits to europe every day.
anon, i'm so sorry for that, but if you follow me you probably don't dislike narumitsu too much, so. yeah. had to put the thoughts somewhere. point is - changing opinions about different aspects of a game/book/etc is great and expands one's view on things. kristoph can and should be anything you want him to be as long as it brings something to the table of character exploration or happy brain juice.

Fandom: Ace Attorney Ship: Miles Edgeworth/Phoenix Wright Rating: Teen and Up Words: 3.5k Summary:
Edgeworth feels like he doesn't deserve to be loved by someone like Phoenix, and Phoenix is terrified of being too much and scaring Edgeworth away. But when they are finally forced to acknowledge the truth of their relationship, will they face the fire or continue to hide from its flames? . . . And Trucy? Well, she's just a little fed up.
âJust let me pay for it, Wright,â Edgeworth stated stubbornly.
âThank you, but Iâm entirely capable of paying for myself,â Wright responded, just as resolutely.
Phoenix and Edgeworth had gone out to eat for the night. Theyâd decided on a small Taiwanese restaurant with clean black tiles and red trim. The food had been delightful, and the conversation even more so. It had been, all around, a pleasant evening. That is, until they had finished their food and begun to argue over the cheque.
âIâm perfectly aware of that. But itâs no secret I have some amount of wealth. Please, it is the least I could do to repay you.â
âI might not be rich like you, but I can still support myself perfectly fine, Miles,â he bit back, already taking out his wallet.â
âDonât be asinine, Wright. Iâm perfectly aware you can.â
âThen let me.â
âWhy do you insist on being so stubborn?â
âWhy do you.â
âBecause Iâ BecauseâŚâ Why couldnât he just say why?! So instead, he conceded. â...Youâre right. Iâm sorry. I shouldnât have pushed.â
âThank you,â he enunciated firmly.
âCan I⌠Can I drive you home at least? Itâs dark, and itâs cold, and your bike fits in my trunk.â
Phoenix looked at him, searching for something; that something Edgeworth wasnât sure of. He finally responded with a light sigh and a short, âOkay.â
They rode to his apartment in a heavy silence, broken only after they arrived at Pheonixâs apartment.
âGoodnight, Wright,â Edgeworth murmured, looking up at him, still off-kilter and anxious from their conversation (and lack thereof in the car.)
Their eyes met. âGoodnight, Miles,â he said, sad but not unkindly. He opened the car door and turned away to get out.
âWait! Iââ
Phoenix looked back at him expectedly.
âWrightââ This was him, god-damn it. He could tell him the truth. The man loved foolishly and kind. He had still stuck around him when Edgeworth had been actively trying to push him away. So he started again. ââŚPhoenix.â
Oh, but it was him. What would he do when Phoenix finally had enough of him? Despite how heâd tried for so long, Phoenix had nestled tightly in his heart, reawakening its quiet beating tremors. A heart that would surely collapse from these tremors in his absence. Not all things should be woken up, because its stirring will surely bring about its own destruction.
Edgeworth hit his head on the steering wheel, leaving his head to rest there and causing the car to let out one short beep. âFuck.â
âUhm, Miles, are you okay??â
âIâm sorry!â he finally mustered out rather abruptly. He heaved himself back up from the steering wheel fully, with a sigh, looking back at Phoenix before quickly darting his eyes away again and clenching his hands. âIt was not⌠my intention to make you believe I was belittling you. You have shown me time and time again truly how capable you are, and I did not mean for you to think I thought anything differently. I simply wish⌠You see⌠Itâs just⌠This is the only way I seem to be capable of repaying you. I know itâs still not enough, but I had hoped it would at least⌠help.â He paused. âHowever, if it makes you uncomfortable, I can refrain from doing so in the future.â
âWhat.â
âMust you really make me repeat it, Wright?â
âNo no no, thatâs not what I meant. What do you mean repay me?â
âCome now, isnât it quite obvious?â
âNo, itâs not⌠unless.â
Edgeworth risked a glance and found Phoenixâs face scrunched up in the middle of a disgruntled realization.
âMiles Edgeworth, do you mean to tell me you believe you owe me, for what? Being there for you? Caring for you?!â
âSomething along those lines.â
He let out a frustrated sigh. âMiles, could you look at me?â His voice was heart-wrenchingly gentle.
He obliged wordlessly.
âI donât know what you were taught to believe love is, but my love for you is not contractual, and it will never be contractual. I do the things I do for you, not because I expect things in return, but because I want to. Okay? I care about you, you doofus.â He rested his hand on top of Edgeworthâs. âAnd Iâm sorry for snapping earlier. I realize now that you meant nothing rude by it. I was tired and upset, and my own insecurities were eating away at me like I was a tasty turkey dinner. And I pushed those insecurities onto you.â
Edgeworth merely blinked back at him.
Phoenix flicked him squarely in the forehead.
âWhat was that for?!â
âThought it might help get it into that thick head of yours,â he grinned impishly. Heâd clearly spent too much time with Maya.
Edgeworth scoffed, âI will have you know my head is of just theâ the right thickness thank you very much.â
âPff, I know, I know.â Phoenix patted him on the head. âI do mean it, though. What I saidâ His tone became serious again. âYouâre my friend, my closest friend even, and thatâs what I do for friends. Youâre certainly no exemption.â
â...Are you sure?â
âAs sure as I am in my clientâs innocence.â
âThen I believe it might be accurate to say you are my closest friend too?â Did he say something wrong? Phoenix looked like he was now about ready to cry.
Oh no no no no, what had Edgeworth done now?
But before he had a chance to ask, Phoenix launched himself at him with a hug.
Edgeworth sat there dumbstruck for a few seconds, unsure of what to do with the man now clinging to him in the cramped car. He eventually rather anxiously slipped his arms around him.
Phoenixâs name felt rather accurate sitting there in his arms. He was just so warm. It was like wrapping your arms around a fire. Heâd always seen fire as aggressively passionate and destructive in its fight to continue on. Yet now, it was somehow so comforting. A forest fire burning away the old withering beliefs and feelings, leaving room for the new. When had his idea of the man shifted so sharply in his eyes, or had he simply been ignoring it before?
Regardless of the timing, he found himself now, always drawing closer to the manâs strength and warmth and life he carried with him in everything he did. Could they do this more? Just sitting there together? Maybe not with the awkward pose the car seats made them twist into. But maybe on the couch curled up in a blanket or after a long late-night work session, Phoenix forcing him to take a break like he apparently loves to do. It doesnât matter really when or where or even frankly what, as long as heâs there with all his fiery heat. There was something so simple about it that made it feel wrong in the best of ways. Because how could happiness be so easily found? How could sitting there doing almost nothing feel so right? What had von Karma had him chasing for all those years if perfection could be found in one quiet embrace?
This man made him constantly question and reestablish every little thing he thought to be true, during trials, but also entirely outside them. Being around him filled him with countless thoughts he both wanted to know, and already did but simply feared the long-since clear conclusion. A dilemma which filled him with both dread and sheer terror by the prospect. No matter how many times he would try to stop them, burn the thoughts to the ground, they always rose back stronger than before as soon as he laid eyes on him again. He was a glowing breath of life reviving the world. For how much Edgeworth tried to cling to sameness, Phoenixâs perpetual reimagining was its own sort of constant. An ever-changing constant, he found he did not mind as much as he should. Maybe comfort could be found in revolution? God, he loved him. He loved him so much. Heâd known that for years now. It was a realization that had hit like a ghastly cacophony before settling softly in his gut. A feeling that would so quickly turn into butterflies from a simple touch of a hand. From a kind, open smile directed towards him.
Phoenix finally pulled away. He looked sheepish. âSorry, I probably should have asked first.â
âI⌠did not mind.â
âOh. Guess thatâs alright then.â He smiled again. Such a soft fond smile it almost hurt to look at with any amount of acknowledgment to the genuineness of it. âHey, would you, um, want to come inside for a bit? Youdonthavetoofcourseyouprobablyhavelotstodo! But uh, yeah, mhm. Plus, I bet Trucy would love to say hi. Maya might still be over too.â
Regardless of what he might say, Edgeworth returned the smile with the same genuine fondness, although in his own reserved way. He checked his watch. âItâs not too late, and I got done more than expected today, so I suppose I can come in. If thatâs okay?â He visited the Wrights so often these days that he practically lived there, but that didnât stop him from putting up the pretense that he wouldnât drop everything to be with them a little while longer.
âI was the one who offered, so of course itâs alright. We always love having you over!â With that, he nodded to Edgeworth and slid out of the car. Edgeworth popped the trunk so he could retrieve his bike and then joined him outside.
They climbed the buildingâs stairs, and Phoenix fiddled with the keys, letting them both inside his apartment. âTrucy, weâre home!!â he called out.
She bounded towards them. âShh!! Mayaâs asleep on the couch!â she hissed just as loudly as Phoenix was before smiling widely. âHi Daddy, hi Uncle Miles. What took you two so long? You guys were sitting in the car foreverrrrrr. I made you tea, but itâs getting cold. You should drink it now so it doesnât go to waste,â she pouted, before nudging him with her elbow playfully. âUnless someone as fancy as you is okay with microwave-reheated tea.â She dragged him towards the small dining table as soon as he took off his street shoes.
Phoenix followed soon after, quite amused.
Trucy sat Edgeworth down with his tea and handed Phoenix a cup of decaf coffee as Maya emerged from the living room, wiping away the sleep from her eyes.
âOh, hi, Maya. When did you wake up?â Trucy asked.
âAbout when you shouted âSHhHh MaYaâS aSleEp,â she quipped back with faux annoyance as she joined them at the table.
Trucy smiled guiltily before resting her chin on her hands and turning her attention back to Edgeworth. She had more important matters to attend to. âSo why were you and Daddy sitting in the car for so long together?â she asked innocently.
Maya perked up at that, entirely forgetting she was still pretending to be grumpy.
âWhat do you mean? We were just talking, Trucy,â he responded evenly.
âAbout what, though,â Maya chimed in.
âYeah, that! You talk inside all the time, so if itâs outside, that clearly means itâs important.â
âUh, well.â Edgeworth stuttered out. âIt was nothing much⌠reallyââ
âBut, but, I saw you two hugging for like⌠30 seconds at least! Thatâs a lot of time to be hugging, even for Daddy.â
âTrucy enough. Donât pressure him. This isnât a court of law; Uncle Miles doesnât have to tell you anything,â Phoenix interjected.
Trucy collapsed over the table, her excitement deflating into upset frustration. âBut why? You two are such... Such⌠boring-stupid-big-dumb-idiotsââ
ââLanguageââ Phoenix scolded weakly.
ââWhy canât you two just figure it out already!? Itâs been forever, but youâre both too stuck in dim-witted overly-serious adult mode to finally just get it together.â Tears started to form in her eyes, and she wiped them away angrily. âWhy canât we just be a proper family like everyone else?â She pointed sharply to Phoenix, âDaddyâ and then to Edgeworth, âMommy.â She crossed her arms, still trying to stop her tears from flowing. âThere, I did it for you!â
She got up abruptly from her chair and escaped to her room, shutting the door. Maya looked to the door, to Phoenix, and then to Edgeworth, and back again. She murmured, âIâll go check up on her,â and left for Trucyâs room.
That left Phoenix and Edgeworth sitting at the table with the weight of what Trucy had just said permeating the atmosphere.
After some time, Phoenix eventually tried to break it. âListen, I, Iâm sorry. I guess Iâve accidentally said some stuff that has made her think, er, some things, and now⌠I guess⌠She got the idea that, ugh.â
âHave we really been doing that?â
Phoenix fiddled with his coffee mug, not making eye contact.
âTrucy isnât an idiot. In fact, sheâs probably smarter than the both of us.â
â...Yesâ
âThen is she right? All of it?â No amount of self-preservation could stop him asking it when he was now so desperate to hear the answer.
The prolonged silence hung heavily over the two, but Phoenix finally broke it, sounding ragged.
âI didnât want to scare you away.â
â...Oh⌠I see.â
Phoenix looked at him at that, unreadable emotions flickering past his face. âYou see? So weâre just moving on from so much as finally acknowledging that bottomless rabbit hole then, are we?!â His voice cracked. âPretending it doesnât exist for another 15 years.â
âNo, Wright, Iâm sorry, thatâs not what I meant. I wasnât expecting a response like that. Please. Just give me a moment.â
He opened his mouth as though to protest, before shutting it again, nodding, and sinking into the chair.
Miles desperately tried to wrangle his unruly thoughts into something coherent. He finally managed a question. âWhat do you mean you didnât want to scare me away?â Talking is good. Communication is good. He can do this. Even on territory in some self-sabotaging way, heâd hope to never cross.
âIt seemed to take you years just to admit I was your friend, Miles. Is it really all that surprising? You still call me Wright most of the time for crying out loud! I didnât want to be too much because I always seem to be too much. I love intensely, and thatâs not something I can just tamper down. Iâve finally gotten you back; I don't want to lose you again.â Once it started, he couldnât seem to stop. It unraveled out of him like unruly thread. âAnd yes, sometimes I wondered, sometimes I hoped, but I wouldnât dare push you into something. So I just ignored it. I ignored what I felt and, eventually, what I felt coming from you. I refused to give myself the hope that you, cold callous Edgeworth, would ever, ever care for me like I do for you. And when that facade slowly broke down, revealing how soft, and kind, and caring, like Iâd always known you were, I shut that up too, because this is a line, that if we cross, we can never return. Please, Miles, I donât want to lose you.â
âPhoenix, Iââ Take his hand, take his hand, just somehow comfort him; why canât you ever seem to comfort him? âWhy-â Comfort him, comfort him, you idiot, why canât you even do that? Not even a simple reassuring touch?! âI donât want you to.â
âOh.â
âNo! No. I donât want you to hold back for me.â
âOh.â
Edgeworth clutched his elbow tightly.
Phoenix wet his lips. âAre you sure, Miles? Please, are you sure? How can you be sure.â
âI donât think I can. ButâŚâ A small smile crept to his lips. âSomeone once taught me that sometimes itâs worth putting trust in others, even when you donât know how it will end.â
âOh, is that so?â he choked out. âYouâll have to introduce me to him sometime.â
âYou are an idiot, Wright, you know that, correct?â
âShut up. You said donât hold back, so does this mean I can kiss you?â
Miles let out an undignified squeak but soon nodded repeatedly.
Phoenix got up from his chair to approach him, moving slowly as though Edgeworth was a spooked animal about to bolt. But maybe that wasnât too far off an assumption, considering how fast his heart was currently beating.
Pheonix cupped his cheek, gently brushing away his silver hair. He leaned down and pressed their chapped lips together. It only lasted a few seconds, but it made Edgeworth feel woozy and his stomach leap. From happiness or pure panic, he did not know.
âWas that okay?â Phoenixâs voice said, reminding him he was still present in a body apparently.
Was it okay? It was more than okay, actually. It wasnât some grand kiss at the end of Samurai Summer. There were no fireworks or orchestra. But there was Phoenix in his cramped kitchen kissing him, and that was all Miles ever needed. This really was perfection, wasnât it?
Edgeworth stood up from his chair, leaving only a few inches between them. Regardless, he looked directly at him. âPhoenix, I believe I would like you to kiss me again.â
Phoenix happily obliged.
âââ
There was a knock. âCan I come in?â Maya said from behind the door.
Not wanting to use her voice because she was worried it would break from her crying, Trucy got up from her bed and padded over to open the door.
Maya joined her back on the bed. âDo you want to talk about it?â
She sniffled. âI didnât mean to snap at them like that.â She rested her head against Maya and closed her eyes. Maya wrapped her arm around her shoulders. She sat there a while, just thinking and quietly sitting in Mayaâs arms.
Trucy was just getting so frustrated. She loved her dad very much, but there was only so much of his thick-headedness she could take. And, well, okay, it wasnât just that.
Trucy had always kind of wanted to have a family with two parents again. Itâs not that she wasnât happy! But sometimes, she wondered what it would be like. If it would make her life more normal. And before her dad had gotten his attorneyâs badge back, if it would make him less sad. She had long since realized that she was more than content with her strange little family, although, sometimes, it felt like the thought just slipped out and back into her mind, despite the irrationality of it.
Still. There had always been Uncle Miles, and she started to realise he already acted like her second parent. Not only that, her dad and him already acted like a couple too! Still, no matter what happened, they never seemed to acknowledge that. They made each other so happy, but like this, they were also making each other sad.
âHey, Truce?â
She opened her eyes again. âHm?â
âDo you think theyâre kissing yet?â
Trucy giggled wetly. âThey better be, or else Iâm gonna have to yell at them again.â
Maya snickered in return, âHeh, yeah.â
Trucy turned her head to look at Maya better. âYou know, I do feel bad for yelling at them like that, but Iâm not sure I regret it. Other than maybe each other, Iâm like⌠their favourite person. If they canât figure it out on their own, theyâll at least figure it out for me.â
âHey, what about me!â Maya exclaimed in mock offence.
âWell, maybe if you didnât exploit Daddy for so many burgers, youâd be higher up their list,â she teased. The heavy feelings of sadness hadnât quite yet drifted away, but she was in higher spirits.
âEhhh, sounds like too much work.â
âPff, figured as much.â She paused. âI think I still need to apologize, though. I miss having a second parent sometimes, but thatâs not their fault. I love the family I do have. You all mean the world to me.â
Maya nodded and smiled fondly. She gave Trucy, who was still in her arms, a quick squeeze.
âIn the meantime, thoughâŚâ She sniffled, smiling smally, but with a glint in her eye. âWanna peek through the door and see what theyâre doing?â
Mayaâs expression immediately turned devilish, putting her fingertips together in glee. âOf course.â
They crept towards the door and cracked it open. Mayaâs head peaked out, as Trucyâs soon did the same underneath Mayaâs. They exchanged a gleeful glance.
They were kissing!!! After so many years spent ignoring their feelings, they were finally kissing!
Just wait till the groupchat hears about this.
Trucy went to pull out her phone to take a picture. She almost dropped it in her haste, catching it at the last second before it made a sound. She went to take a photo.
The flash turned on.
Maya and Trucy looked at each other in a panic. They both tried to back up into the room at the same time. Trucyâs head hit Mayaâs legs as Maya was midstride. Maya floundered for something to grab onto, finally grasping onto the door knob. The door followed Mayaâs backward descent, swinging open. "Ahh shit!"
The two men broke apart, alarmed. Both looked at them concerned, but Edgeworth's expression soon turned to indignation.
"Maya. Trucy. What the hell are you doing?"

I know others have already commented on this game, but I feel like I should comment on it too as I played it not too long ago; I would argue there is not necessarily any spirituality in at least the first Phoenix Wright game (I haven't played its sequels). It can all be explained rationally (try me anyone lol). After watching her sister die, Maya Fey gets DID (or at least just gains a factive) as the switching that later takes place occurs uncontrollably and only at desperate times (e.g. Maya feels intense despair or something similar) and she doesn't remember anything from the time her headmate was fronting. Her alter or factive is always with Maya even if we don't see said headmate most of the time, as shown by some CGs.
Therefore, in my opinion, Maya Fey is definitely a system.
While we appreciate the effort to help, this IS all headcanons, interpretations, and meta, and not really what this blog is about!
Super cool headcanons, but the matter is resolved.
Unless someone is bringing sourced proof (screenshots, gameplay footage, etc) and bringing something more to the table that moves these characters out of their space on the list, this isnt really the space for talk on the specific characters.
We suggest making your own analysis post on the notion/interpretation that it is psychological phenomena! That way the fandom can enjoy it!
We also stand by the perspective that spiritual frameworks over 'more than one' experiences are more than sufficient to be plural.
It is the experiences and not the frameworks that unite us all, and wether or not her experiences are DID are irrelevant- she is experiencing materially that a another entity recurrently controls her body sometimes and that is by itself a plural experience that merits a position on the list.

Harry Potter Star Voices Frustration Over Lack of Screen Time
With the amount of characters featured within the Harry Potter movies, it wasn't possible for them all to develop in the same ways their book characters had. Even Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley, has voiced disappointment over how the movie adaptations handled her character. At a recent Back to Hogwarts event that occurred in New York, Wright reflected on what she had wished more of in Ginny's on-screen character. Self made., Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons The Harry Potter franchise, from 2001's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone to 2011's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows â Part 2, was encompassing of a great many storylines originating from the favorable books written by J.K. Rowling. However, given film adaptations, several key elements and character developments were necessarily left out. This has kept fans and actors alike speculating about what wasn't shown and what might be revisited in the future. Wright, who played Ginny Weasley across all eight films, added that she wanted more explanation of how her character came to be with Harry Potter. "There are so many things" she hopes the forthcoming HBO TV series will cover, released next year. The most detailed and crucial revision, Wright tries to drive home, is that the development of Ginny and Harry's relationship should be fleshed out and made more subtle. As stated by Wright, the films barely skim the surface of their bond, so richly developed in the books. There's nuanced moments of where they begin to fall in love," Wright told Variety. "I think more of that arc of her character becoming this real loyal sidekick to Harry, and how she really understands and knows his story and who he is, and is the best partner for him." Comments by Wright would appear to support how she feels this new series will delve a little deeper into how Ginny's character develops and supports Harry throughout their journey. Speaking with Wright, she allowed that it must have indeed been tough on the filmmakers to show such a multi-layered storyline within the time length of their movie. "If only we could have had five-hour movies," she almost lamented, aware that the sheer volume of content from the books made it challenging to include every beloved moment. "There are so many characters that have moments I love from the books â Neville and Luna â so I'm hoping as a fan of the books that I get to see more." The new HBO Max series will undertake the ambitious project of adapting all seven books into a season-long format. HBO has promised that the rich narratives, with which the fans have grown up, will delve really deep into the series. "This new Max Original series will dive deep into each of the iconic books that fans have continued to enjoy for all of these years," said HBO in a statement. This series will give the story a whole new turn with a completely new set of actors. Of course, the actors who played Harry, Hermione, and Ron in the movies were Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, respectively. New actors would replace them. Meanwhile, in the face of the wait for this series to come, the original Harry Potter movies are shifting from Peacock to Max so that they can stream on the HBO platform. This provides another chance for one and all either to re-enter the magical world or experience an absolutely new one which has kept spellbound millions around the world. Read the full article

Plot Summary: If one conjoined twin commits murder, but the other is innocent, what should the legal system do? Conjoined twins Vivian and Dotty are vaudeville singers looking for greater success. To drum up publicity, their manager arranges a sham marriage between Dotty and Andre, a stunt shooter in their troupe. When Dotty is left broken hearted, Vivian takes things into her own hands and winds up on trial.Â
My Rating (out of five stars): **Âź Â
I was a little resistant to watch this, fearing it would be dehumanizing to the real-life conjoined twins Violet and Daisy. It was a pretty terrible film, but thankfully it wasnât dehumanizing. It treated the twins with empathy and respect, actually encouraging viewers to see them as people and not âfreaks.â Unfortunately, the film let them down in almost every other way. (some spoilers)
The Good:Â
The twins were a real-life singing act, and they got to do three musical numbers in this. They were good- very pleasant and professional to listen to. That was probably my favorite part of the whole film.Â
As I mentioned above, there was an obvious attempt to humanize the women. The movie made it clear they were independent people with their own thoughts and ideas. They wanted the same things out of life that anyone does. They were not freaks. We were meant to consider their feelings and empathize with them.Â
The plot was kind of crazy and interesting. The question at the heart of it is a headscratcher.Â
The Bad:Â
The acting. This was a cheap film, and the acting was one of the biggest reflections of that. Nearly everyone was stiff, and Iâm sorry to say that the two sisters were some of the worst offenders. They were clearly not trained. Their singing was lovely, but not their acting.Â
The bookends with the judge talking awkwardly to the audience. He wasnât even looking near us most of the time, which made it even more stilted and weird.Â
The courtroom scenes were basically a âHow Not to Doâ manual! They were a snoozefest.Â
All of the other vaudeville acts in the film were so obviously fillers for time, it was practically flashing across the screen. We got a juggler of plates, a clown doing bike tricks, and two, count âem, two accordion numbers! To make matters worse, it was obvious that the audience shown in the reaction shots was not live- it was added in later.Â
Sometimes the movie turned the sisters into objects of pity that felt more patronizing than empathizing.Â
The whole thing had a really cheap feel- the sets were substandard, there was almost no non-diegetic music, some of the edits and angles were kind of odd, the dialogue was poor, and the acting was even worse. Â
The script was a mess. It cut back and forth between courtroom scenes and flashbacks, but it often got jumbled, and some of the flashbacks would never have been courtroom testimony.Â
What was the deal with the blind preacher? He shared some nice platitudes, but it was yet another awkward scene.Â
The love scenes between Dotty and Andre were even more cringe than you'd imagine.
