despite the way i associate jyn with fire, she actually runs cold. it's one of the reasons why she wears so many layers (as seen in r1, she's got a shirt, vest, jacket, etc.), though it doesn't help that her clothes are often worn, thin, and a bit ratty. she refuses to wear proper gloves unless absolutely necessary (ie. hoth) because she has better dexterity with her iconic fingerless ones. perhaps because of this, she also has poor circulation in her hands and feet, and anyone who she shares a bed with that runs warm might get an unpleasant surprise in the middle of the night:)

God, this is fucking crazy

So i only have 3 more classes to take, but it'll cost the same to take 3 classes as 4 classes. So I've been thinking about taking a 4th class just for the hell of it. Something fun and/or easy.

Out of curiosity, I looked up orchestras. I was in it in my first year, but I haven't consistently played since 2016. But I still dream about being in an orchestra again. I *miss it*. So I was like. Well, what if *that* was my 4th class next semester? What If?

I looked it up. This week is the last week they're doing auditions for it. There was only one more spot free after today. And that's *tomorrow evening*.

I haven't really played my violin much in YEARS. I'm so out of practice. But apparently they don't reject anyone outright. Auditions are just for placement. So worst case scenario, I get placed in an orchestra at a lower skill level than I was at my prime. It'd still be an orchestra.

It's crazy short notice, but I don't think I'd forgive myself if I passed it up. Bc I have just one more semester before I graduate. One last opportunity to be in a school orchestra. And if I didn't do this, I'd be left with that What If forever.

So. Crazy short notice, but I have a violin audition tomorrow!!! Hahahaha

1. Who would end a heated argument by defending their actions with ‘because I love you!’ ?

AHHH, anon, i love you for that one, because this is actually one of my favourite tropes ever. the heated "because i love you" mid-argument... and of course it's a thousand times more delicious if they're not dating yet. the stunned silence... the "wait, what did you just..." and trying to figure out if they meant it... GOOD FOOD. mwah.

and for piarles -- ahhh, i'm actually going to take this as an excuse to write a little mini fic/plot bunny idea that's been running around my brain for forever. so here we go: imagine pierre, in his alpine era feeling happier and freer than ever, making the most of his freedom and, uh, celebrating. in bed. with anyone and everyone. except, most notably, charles. he never invites charles into his bed. and of course charles notices. how could he not?

charles doesn't know what he's supposed to think. should he be hurt that pierre apparently wants to celebrate with everyone except his best friend? should he be worried that he did something wrong? is pierre just not attracted to him? (charles doesn't think that one for too long, btw. he knows he's too pretty.) so i think he'd be a confused mess, bless him, but also probably getting a little more annoyed each time he hears about pierre fucking yet another person who isn't him. because come on. what is pierre's problem? what would be so bad about getting charles in his bed, too?

and one day - i'm thinking after a shitty race, when he's already pissed off - he sees pierre making out with some other driver (george? 😏) behind the alpine motorhomes, and charles just decides that enough is enough. this is getting ridiculous.

so charles pulls them apart, and drags pierre into his motorhome. sits him down, confused and more than a little offended. but charles isn't having any of it. "explain yourself," he says, all hot and challenging and angry. pierre is more confused than ever, and he wants to know what charles is on about. charles, in turn, wants to know why pierre will fuck anyone in the paddock except, apparently, charles himself.

and pierre of course gets defensive. "i can fuck whoever i want, charlito." and charles is like "i'm not saying you can't! i just want to know, why not me?" and they go back and forth like that for a while, arguing and getting more and more annoyed, until eventually pierre snaps and shouts "because i love you!"

charles is just like :o - and pierre winces, but carries on. "because i love you, and i don't love any of them. so it doesn't matter if it's just a one-night-stand. but charles, if it's you... if i ever get you in my bed, i would never want you to leave again."

and charles is just. speechless. because what. he expected a lot, but he never even imagined that. pierre loves him?!! pierre loves him. what. (pierre also almost walks away in the time it takes charles to process this momentous realisation, but charles comes to his senses just in time to grab his arm, and kiss him within an inch of his life, and, yeah. needless to say, they figure it out xD)

anyways, yes, uh. that's how i think piarles for the ending a heated argument with "because i love you!" trope would go <3

Did you know that the target audience for Farming Simulator is actual real-world farmers? Because I didn’t. I just assumed that farmers probably don’t want to go home from a day of farming to do some (presumably highly inaccurate) virtual farming?

Like, imagine if the target audience for Power Washing Simulator was actual professional power washers.

Farming Sim gets sponsored by companies and shit to put ads in their games. But since the game is for farmers, all of the ads target farmers. Advertising products that, realistically, only farmers would be interested in. Aka John Deere tractors and shit.

There’s a fucking farming sim esports league. Where do they play? Agriculture conventions. not gaming conventions. agriculture conventions.

Wicked yapping

Today i finished reading through all the shiz years. So i guess i covered all the stuff that happens in the movie. And. Im making a list of all the differences and things i find interesting

-movie fiyero is white which is so weird page two of fiyeros introduction it says hes black so ????

-theres no fiyero glinda romance but i get how thats fun for the movie

-in the book not only elphaba is based. Boq is based. He actually does stuff apart from having a crush on glinda. Having a crush on galinda. Which brings me to my next point

-glinda becomes glinda because she becomes aware of all the shitty things that are happening she becomes WOKE. Elphaba earlier points out shes smart but doesnt use that side of her often. And boq said he loved GALINDA but not GLINDA. and man oh man i love glindas character in the book. But then again it only makes sense with the overall themes. Movie glinda is awfully fun and so is everyone else.

-the wizard being shit and madame morrible being shit is not a reveal. WE KNOW THIS INSTANTLY. THE CHARACTERS KNOW IT TOO. thats awesome. In general its cool that the political situation is something the characters are all aware of and we get everyones comments on it. Its not a mystery. Its a thing. And its interesting to see how each character reacts to it.

-glinda and elphaba kissed. Yay lesbians.

-nessa being a religious freak is so interesting to me

-in general the 4 forces in oz are fascinating. AH.

-you know whats also interesting. Elphaba and nessa being raised by 4 people. Actually witnessing the parents react to elphaba, not only with hate.

Also (post shiz) fiyeros and elphabas conversations are so fun and they feel so real. Im now witnessing fiyero becoming more involved in activism i guess (in the movie he was pretty based from the beginning so its fun to see his growth here although he wasnt mentioned much during shiz years) and him talking about it with elphaba is SOOO !!!!!! And its mixed with them being in love with each other god their relationship is so interesting to me i dont even mind why it happened. I like them together!!!! They feel like two real people having real conversations which are fit for the world they live in.

One more thing although i do prefer the book from the movie its because it dives so much deeper and its in line with my personal interest in politics (also its just well written so yuh). But the movie/musical is amazing as well! Its just different! Its a different story and thats fine, its enjoyable on its own, kinda like an alternate universe thats slightly less miserable. Similar issues but placed in a world more symbolic and with solutions that are perhaps easier to find. Absolutely enjoyable and man i just love musicals. Rlly the only thing id change is fiyero cause why is he white lol. Still. I feel blessed i discovered wicked- both movie and book(s). And im 30 years late to the party but better late than never.
