i really wish there was more positive representation of short men, like actually short men. like 5’3 and under. 5’0 and under.

i wish we had more representation of us as masculine, as attractive, as desirable; representation that doesnt force us into a submissive, infantilized, or hotheaded role.

it is so hard for me to ever imagine that i will be taken seriously or seen as manly because of my height. it is so fucking frustrating. i know i deserve to be happy with myself, but without representation its hard to even know what that might look like. if its even possible.

My favorite thing about Gen Z is how men have spent decades promoting the idea that taller = more attractive and putting other men down for being under six-feet tall and then Gen Z comes along and is like “actually, we want short kings, how’s the weather up there, doorframe bonker?”

With short men feeling lonely and less likely to be in dates, having less respect in personal space (being touched more) or competency, considering limb enlargement surgery, and a not small number of suicidal ideation and feeling like lesser people, we have to be more conscious about heightism for men

If we really want to curb toxic masculinity, we need to change the unscientific idea that tall / large means manly, and focus on personality and achievements
