Synopsis: Two best friends get together to watch a football game, but the vibe is different as they are straight men with a gay curious vibe and decide to experiment with one another. Marc is obviously nervous while Fran is enjoying the football game until the laptop they're watching on runs out of battery. But this leads to the elephant in the room. After several interruptions from Fran's sister, these bros get down right comfortable with one another.

First time trying stop-motion with puppets! Made this during my first year studying animation along with @mariiiachi and another student who isn’t on tumblr. We made everything from scratch including puppets and props, and we had like 4 weeks to work on it.

This did really well on IG and TT, I’ve had zero luck with original content on here tho so let’s see how it goes

When I first saw trailers and stuff for Elemental I legit thought this was some kind of wannabe Pixar schlock and not the real thing. It was so generic and overly allegorical I couldn't believe Pixar would actually sign off on it because it looked like a parody of their formula.

yeah honestly same lmao. animated works about personified elements is a pretty common idea from what i've seen, i'm hoping a lasting impact of elemental will be a decline in that trope because honestly i'm kinda tired of it ghfdnksg. or at least i'd like to see it done in a new way other than "opposing elemental characters have to find a way to get along"

Pretty please could you watch my short film?

I've been collecting film clips since I bought my first camera when I was 12. I finally put them together during covid, and revisiting these memories after being diagnosed with a brain tumour helped me rediscover my own mind post memory loss.

TW for next paragraphs: abuse and suicide

Like many others, my childhood was rocky; full of abuse, anger and pain, I never felt like the houses I lived in were home. This film represents to me, the home I built for myself on my own. Through finding the beauty in the world, each clip represents one more reason to stay.

I share this now, after the death of a friend. He took his own life, left behind his dog and many friends. It can be especially difficult, losing someone in the same way you nearly lost yourself. There is guilt, anger, sorrow and loss.

It is in this loss, I think back to the years spent building this archive of memories. Tiny spaces in time that are safe and mine. I hope that in sharing this film, it inspires someone to seek their own pockets of happiness, each one a brick to build their own sense of home.
