more for the garashir fairytale grab bag AU I am never going to actually write: garak knows exactly what would break his curse from the start, he just never tells anyone for the longest time b/c he's so sure it could never happen

(it's asking forgiveness, of course. he thinks it's tain's forgiveness he needs, and tain is fucking dead and knew he would be by the time garak woke up so it seems the perfect unbreakable parting fuck-you revenge curse. and garak would expect nothing less from his father than that, so he's resigned to dwindling away painfully. enter julian bashir and his fierce force-of-nature compassion (and also secret illicit immense magical powers) with a steel chair!!! to go 'OH YEAH??? we'll see about that', as you might expect. oh. OH necromancer-ish julian calling tain's ghost up to ask him about what the hell he did and how to undo it, ala his gambit to go see him the wire? and the knowledge he gains from that is what confirms garak's suspicions as to what is Up with this handsome young healer mage because it could be known only by those long dead. cue east of the sun west of the moon part of the narrative once julian understands his game is up and runs away??

anyway getting some true love's kissing in by the end of it all is just a nice bonus it's not needed like strictly magically for either of their situations lol)

HERE'S A THOUGHT~!

In the MCU, the Time Stone was found by the sorcerer Agamotto thousands of years ago.

"The Ancient One is the latest in a long line of Sorcerer Supreme, going back thousands of years to the father of the Mystic Arts, the mighty Agamotto. The same sorcerer who created the Eye you so recklessly borrowed."

So this dude, someone who was according to official papers was "a being" who was not human. And from the looks of it found the stone on earth.

Now here is my thought about this, what if this guy found the Time Stone in the Crystal Cave all those years ago. It would make sense for the crystals in the cave to have been affected by the time stone and have the properties of possible futures.

The Birth Place of Magic.

Agamotto might have taken the time stone but some of it's powers still remained there in the cave. Druids and other magic folk revere and fear the cave, cause if not careful one could go mad with all the possible outcomes of the future.

Merlin, long after Camelot, ends up back in the Crystal Cave and witnessing all the possibilities of the future. He learns much but also goes slightly mad for a time.

Then at some point he travels and finds Kamar-Taj. There he can feel the Time Stone but much more powerful then the cave. It calls to him, recognising Merlin as a worthy wielder or fellow kin.

Now I'm completely for the concept of Merlin being Magic itself and if Magic came to be in that cave, Merlin is a part of the time stone as we saw in the first episode of Merlin where he basically stopped time saving Gaius and slowing it down saving Arthur.

If the Infinity Stones were created by the Big Bang from 6 singularities, what if there was a 7th one.

Magic.

Diverse and capable of all 6 aspects of existance.

Making Merlin one of the very few to be capable of touching the stone itself, along with the other five.

Au where Cedric is born to the throne and once inherits it, is discontent with it. Then he finds a village family who seems to have it all figured out: they love and care for each other deeply despite their place in life. That's when he realizes his upbringing wasn't as great as he thought it was, and befriends the family to find out what he missed out on.

I think the problem with a lot of Geto analysis online cannot truly understand that he's a victim and abusive. Like I'll straight up say jujutsu society is abusive and exploitative and he had to deal with three people his age and younger Dying (Satoru he was supposed to be working with, Riko was literally. There. And then Haibara who y'know. Is his junior so there's a level of protection and teaching they're supposed to have) and I can yap about my opinions on some of the stuff that's implied but also. HES A CULT LEADER AND CULTS ARE ABUSIVE. Even in his short interaction with the women he helps he is rude demeaning and manipulative (idk how to describe the name thing he's just fucking weird) he's willing to just Murder People in cold blood and he's a eugenicist who dehumanizes people and compares them to animals like. And even with sorcerers who he "respects" like. Do I need to explain how eugenics interacts with bodily autonomy or is that generally understood. I'll say straight up that I think he basically just copy pasted power dynamics from Jujutsu society (basically why I call him a victim of that. Jujutsu society is a-ok with child murder let's all remember that) but just bc they're learned doesn't make them Less Abusive (it just points to a bigger problem)

He contains multitudes and some of the multitudes involve being traumatized and physically assaulted as a child and others involve being a hateful person who decided that lateral violence feels good

something about me is that i love love love playing support classes, i actually love playing them the most (give me the clerics, give me the bards), but one time i was told by a man when i was considering a cleric again that i would 'finally play the class i was meant for', i got turned off really fast from that.
