Wanna try one of these reblog games, but with a twist! Most people assign themes with pictures they find online so the options and possibilities are endless, but I wanted to do this with actual enamel and acrylic pins I own. Any of the over 870 of them.

Ah, one of the more popular f/f ships out there! Let's talk about that, shall we?

The dynamic between Tenko and Himiko is that of a sunny day and a gloomy rainstorm. Himiko is a character that showcases a lot of symptoms of depression (which are often attributed to her "laziness") and while Tenko isn't undamaged herself, she's a beacon of almost blindingly bright hope to Himiko. To move forward and express your big emotions without a care in the world, to see the sunny days, to express a childlike wonder despite having grown older--those are things Himiko admires about Tenko, I think. She is inspired by Tenko to move forward with her life, and to find joy and happiness within it, despite the horrible feelings Himiko has been facing.

What I personally like about this ship: it has that "opposites attract" vibe, as I stated earlier with Himiko having depression and Tenko being this energetic ray of sunshine. I think having a positive influence on your life when you're in your darkest moment is really good for the soul. I love how Tenko enthusiastically cheers Himiko on, even when Himiko couldn't see it for herself. Sometimes when you're at your lowest, such positivity can feel harsh or even painful and uncomfortable. I imagine when Himiko learns to love herself a little more, that Tenko's love for her will shine the brightest--and it will be a welcomed, relieving thing.

what are your thoughts on Batfam x Batfam (batcest i think?) ships

I’ve got no problem with them at all!

I usually like to go more with the gen batfam stuff because I love the found family trope, but I’ve also read my fair share of ship fics. It all boils down to an interesting premise, and/or if the tags/triggers are something I’m comfortable with.

There are definitely some of those ship fics sitting in my bookmarks right now for a frequent reread ✨ and eventually I will probably write a fic like that, too. So it’s always good to check the tags 💚

Of course there’s also some ship constellation that I don’t read, personally. But that’s my own personal preference, and everyone else is free to enjoy it at their leisure 🙌

Been seeing this on tags a lot lately and I'm here to tell you all this: there's nothing embarrassing/shameful/cringy/whatever about shipping.

You don't have to apologize for your ships in your tags/posts in any way. If someone is bothered by shipping they can curate their timeline/account/dash. It's not your obligation to tailor what you blog/talk about for others, specially when it's something as silly as shipping!

Babble about your blorbos kissing and whatnot as much as you want!

Daisuke x Taichi for the ship game? 👀

Oh, that's an interesting one! Young!me had quite a fondness for their relationship - which may have been influenced by the fact that they were one of the first ships (or "pairings", as we used to call it back then) I had ever found yaoi doujinshis about...

While I would say that their relationship was HEAVILY underutilized in 02 and onwards and that they should have been paralleled a lot more in a lot of situations... I like the way their senpai-kouhai dynamic is being played. Daisuke looks up to (and probably idolizes) Taichi in several aspects and it shows - from their shared love for football to him wearing goggles and putting tons of gel into his hair to imitate the floofy-cool style... From a platonic angle, Taichi may very well be the big sibling Daisuke would always have liked to have. From a more romantic angle, I'd be the first to claim that Daisuke's crush on Hikari is him trying very hard to compensate for the way it was actually the older Yagami who caused him all sorts of confusing feelings - and made him question his preferences very early on... Might have a bit of a one-sided crush (like a hurt puppy that would like to be pampered by the person he admires and adores), but that's what makes it so endearing to me.

Again, I believe there is a lot we haven't seen; judging by their individual development as they get older and as Daisuke grows more into his own person (indicated by the way he is NOT copying Taichi's hairstyle anymore in Kizuna onwards), I am sure Taichi could also take away a lot from Daisuke's never-ending positivity.
