I don't want to be mean but you all sound batshit when you try to convince milkvans byler is real by talking about pure subtext and color theory and "Mike was checking Will out in this scene!!!" there's CLEAR plausible deniability in your own interpretation of someone's acting. The duffers intentionally kept it all vague enough that most people wouldn't figure it out until they get the chance to shove it into people's faces and if the majority of people look at the scene you're analyzing and go "aww they're finally friends again yay" and you go "Mike was blatantly checking wills ass out in the beginning" when...he was taking a breath to settle and prepare to reconcile with someone he's been "off" with for a year... you end up sounding a little insane. Those types of takes are subjective, and you can make a funny video with zooms implying that that's what he was doing but actively trying to convince someone your headcannon is canon will almost always make you sound deranged.

There's a reason you don't go up to milkvans and go "b-but blue meets yellow in the west" and start talking about the intricacies of making film and how everything is on purpose, that stuff isn't for normies. Analysts love that shit but to someone who just watches the show for fun they hear you say all that and go "you're reaching" because you took someone who is at a zero and shoved them into a thousand without showing them why you ACTUALLY ship byler and just tried to prove that it's real

dude nightheart and sunbeams entire relationship is so funny. if I felt like digging through other books id make a compilation of these moments. No, Nightheart will not be by Sunbeams side to help her through the invasion of ShadowClan. Nightheart will almost get violently executed in RiverClan, and Sunbeam will only show up after the problem resolved itself (off screen). Sunbeam doesn't even feel like grieving with him around.

this entire arc, every major problem required them to ~sadly~ separate, and then reconvene for some generic niceties after its all over. I really thought, at bare minimum, the reason that kept happening was going to accumulate in them doing SOMETHING major together in the climax of this final book, like, 'something something our relationship can survive all the plot inconveniences that kept us apart bc this event proves why we're stronger as a team blablabla'

but no girl, their asses are NOT stronger together, they are not supporting each other through anything, they are not working together to accomplish a single goal. right to the end, every one of their greatest physical/emotional trials must be done separate

like. like it's incredible. the most go girl give us nothing relationship development of all time. i cant even find it in me to be mad. they are so lame it loops around into comedy. is this a prank why did they write it like this help

adorable nerdy bf dan heng who, once he opens up after a while of dating, talks about data analysis or computer science or random information without even taking a breath.

“-and so that’s how python works. are you… listening?” dan heng hesitates, tilting his head as he looks down at you where you have your head cradled in his lap. he sighs, knowing he got off on a tangent yet again. “…sorry, i was talking for a while. i’ll stop.”

“i’m listening. keep going…” when you look up at him with such sweet eyes and an interested lilt in your voice, dan heng thinks he’s melting from the inside out. you find his little interests and quirks to be undeniably attractive, and you can’t help but smile until your cheeks hurt with every word he lets out.

“oh…” dang heng almost looks surprised, and it shows in the way his eyes light up a little bit. he caresses your cheek so gently, as if all his appreciation for you was pouring through his one little touch.

he gazes down at your eyes, then your lips, and suddenly he’s not so interested in talking anymore. it takes only a moment before he’s pressing his lips against yours with all the love in the world, his hands caressing your back and pulling your frame against his chest.

“i love you, dan heng…” you smile out the words between lustful sighs, and those words are enough for him to crack. his touches and ministrations are suddenly more urgent and needy, his broad shoulders shifting to shadow over you.

dan heng murmurs against your ear, “you have an extraordinary talent of shutting me up, you know that?”

Do you think you will ever do another one of these? Preferably exclusively for smaller artists?

I really think it’s a massive flaw in a lot of these competitions that put big artists up against smaller ones since it’s obvious people aren’t voting for which oc x canon ship they like more from the infomation provided, they are voting for whose more popular, of course someone who has more followers is going to win every single time.

I think all types of artist should get to participate in these, don’t get me wrong, but it would be nice if there were competitions like this that’s exclusively for smaller-lesser-known artists to give them a chance to shine.

No I won’t be setting a maximum number of followers for it! These "big artists" aren't just getting votes because they're "popular". They're getting votes because people like their oc x canon ships.

While I won't be catering to your ideal image of what this comp should be (or running 2 comps at once), I understand your frustration and I want to give you an alternative.

At the end of August, a friend made a post that sounded something like "someone should make a competition for OC canon ships that'd be cool" and I thought to myself "hey I'm someone" and you know what? You're someone to! Just remember that whenever you think "It would be nice if this existed"

Now running one of these comps is a little time-consuming but not to difficult. If you ever need any advice feel free to come off anon and ask. Good luck!
